Trancelvania Field Spell Once per turn, during the Main Phase: The turn player can discard 1 "Vampire" Spell/Trap; that player cannot activate the effects of monsters they control for the rest of the turn, except Zombie monsters, also destroy all Spell/Trap Cards in the Spell & Trap Zones. Negate the effects of all cards with the same name as a card in the GY that was sent there from the Deck, except Zombie monsters. Monsters and Vampires, I welcome all round 2 of NCM Singles with a new Vampire support based on one of the most hilarious cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime. Not only is this card designed to do some backrow clearing shenanigans that I'm sure would help LP Vampires, but it also features a lock effect that works together with the classic Vampire strategy from cards such as Vampire Lord and expanded later upon with cards like Vampire Duke and Grace. Admittedly a rather "go big or go home" type of card, but also a fairly interesting one. Discuss? A big shoutout to BDSceptyr, who I am working on the coming fic this card will eventually be making its way to, and who helped me find art and used this sparkly Photoshop-friendly card template to give me the card posted in the spoiler.

Kiyoko was still on guard for whatever antics the wolf before her was going to do. However, the door was soon closed by her roommate as Kiyoko felt a tug on her arm. Looking to see Natsumi begin to pull her away, insisting that they should go back now, Kiyoko merely planted her feet as she was being dragged. As the girl was far more fit then Natsumi, it was fairly easy to stop the girl in her tracks, and gave the other signer a stern look. "Natsumi, this goes well beyond any hunger you may or may not have had and even further beyond our own safety. We are signers, and it is our job to stop beasts such as these whenever the need arises. If we let such a strange creature run amok in our kitchen, then not only may people get hurt, but we'll have no food and everyone will be hungry!" Beginning to drag the girl back towards the door, the girl opened it yet again saying, "besides, even if this is a ghost we're dealing with you have nothing to worry about. Because the both of us can see it, there's no way it could possibly try to eat us." After all, it was only the invisible ones that ate people.

"I still think we need to investigate the chapel in town. With the way things have been going it's obvious that The Goddess has set herself against-" he paused, struggled to speak for a moment, and then continued, "you. So, even if whoever did this to the townspeople wasn't a follower of hers we might still find answers in there. Plus the possibility that this was done by one of the faithful is... to great to ignore." Cora's eyes narrowed at the boy's words. Was he implying what she thought he was? She approached the boy, clearly upset. She had to hold back from slapping the boy right then and there. Instead she just responded, "I can assure you that this town has NOTHING to do with the....Goddess." She spat out the last word as though it were a poison she had to rid herself of. "I do not like the implications you're....implying." --- In a foul mood Cora followed the group to the mayor's house. She wasn't too keen on the idea of breaking in but thankfully the beaver...that is to say Acantha, managed to get in and unlock the door. The triumphant look brought a slight smile to Cora's face. "Suppose I should be concerned how easily you did that. But I guess I can let it pass this time." Cora made sure to enter the house next after Catriona. She moved towards the table near the center of the room. Directly across from the entrance. Noticing the food on the table she wrinkled her nose. She didn't think the mayor one to leave food out so easily. It really must have happened suddenly. Checking the food it didn't seem like anything was off about it. Just regular food left out to go bad. Though that in itself was notable to her. Under the table she saw scratch marks. Deciding to move under the table she realized that the scratches didn't seem like a random assortment. After examining the table once more briefly she turned to watch the others. Though it was hard to focus on everyone and her attention ended up focusing more on the young man who had been injured and the boy who had brought up the Goddess. She wasn't sure how to feel about these people yet but it wasn't as though she had much of a choice. What could it all mean... “...Ah-ah, I really shouldn’t ask about things like that…! Sorry!” It took a moment for Penelope to realize what the girl was thinking. But when she did she had to fight to keep the smirk from appearing on her face. Feigning an innocent mask, Penelope couldn't help but responding to the girl. "Well, it's not as though it's that personal of a matter. I suppose it may seem strange for someone not of this group but I can assure you it's basically a natural thing to us by now." With one last bright smile Penelope went along checking out the building, humming all the way. Besides the naked man outside the only thing she noticed here was the mess that was made. Likely from the beaver herself. She'd imagine it would be rather startling to find yourself in that sort of state. It did bring a question to mind. "Say, miss...beaver? Did you just wake up like that or was it a sudden transformation?" The beaver responded by angrily shaking her fist and shaking her head no. Well. That was....something? She really wasn't so good at negotiating with animals. The Mayor's house itself seemed much more interesting. And a lot easier to get answers from than the beaver. Upon entering something to the left caught her eye. Books. Sitting on a table. Making a beeline for them she picked up each to read the title and riffle through the pages. She found nothing of interest in them but did note that the book on badgers had a rope bookmark in it. Flopping down on the all too soft and comfy chair she opened the book up at the bookmarked page. The page was on the diet of badgers. And she noticed there were tears in the pages. She wondered if perhaps the animal had checked this book themselves to learn how he should feed his new body? Clever, if true. As she pondered this she noticed something poking her from between the cushion and the side of the chair. Upon checking it turned out it was a wadded up piece of parchment. One that seems to have been torn from something. Unwadding it she discovered large, wobbly, letters gouged onto the parchment. It was rather difficult to make out, even for Penelope, and all she could really read was "O. I. Y." She said aloud. The letters weren't next to each other. Merely part of a whole. Telling her findings to the others she followed it up with "I think this mayor may have been trying to leave some sort of message behind." Gunther couldn't help but emphasize with Cora's indignation. Though he kept it to himself. He had learned already that he should keep his nose out of such things. Yet it did relieve him to hear how against the Goddess those in this village must have been. Once they made it to the mayor's house and the beaver opened the door for them he smiled at her and said, "Thank you, you did well." He paused after saying this. Remembering that this beaver was in fact a person. Hadn't he been petting beavers earlier? Did that mean....Gunther shook his head, trying not to get lost in the awkward line of thought. He honestly wasn't sure where to start looking. Deciding to head for the far corner, where he assumed most wouldn't go to first, his eyes caught a wheel of cheese and a knife left out on the counter. Frowning, he said aloud. "If there's any place to store this I'd like to put it away. It may be a small thing but I imagine the mayor would prefer not to come back to rotten cheese..." He knew the silliness of his statement but he couldn't help but want to help out in whatever small way he could. As he stood there he decided to check out the counter itself. He couldn't really find anything out of the ordinary. Not that he really expected to. For the moment he decided on wiping down the knife and storing it away. "Everything in its place." He muttered.

With his second bolt ready, Reinaan fired quickly on the gnolls as they began their charge. With his first target staggering he turned to the other three most immediately approaching him and fired on the right most. The bolt sailed through the air and into the gnoll's face, halting its advance on the spot as it howled in pain and bled profusely. That still left two more coming up quick to which the Draken dropped his crossbow behind him and readied his new halberd which had been leaning against him as he'd fired for quick access. The center gnoll was closest and Reinaan felt no need to give his enemy a chance to attack. He swung the length of his weapon, the axe portion on a collision course for the gnoll's neck. The creature raised his spear to defend but the strength of the would-be-Dragon crushed through it and lodged the blade cleaning in between the shoulder and neck. The left most gnoll had kept moving as this initial engagement played out and readied his spear to stab at the boy's side. The Fire Chosen however was ready to keep brute forcing solutions and so use the leverage of his halberd still in the first gnoll's neck to push the beast into his comrade. The two collided, the uninjured one pushing the other off which fell to the ground from the injury after Reinaan had retracted the weapon. The still standing gnoll went in for a straight on stab but Reinaan too possessed a spear at the end of his weapon and outranged this hyena's attack, the tip plunging into the center of the creature's chest. The now also seriously injured gnoll attempted to ready his spear to throw it at the boy with the length of the halberd as the only distance to gather. Despite the injury it stood somewhat firm but the Draken managed to drag it to the ground after twisting the weapon to aggravate the injury. The gnoll attempted to grab it out of instinct but Reinaan kept pushing it in deeper as he approached and stepped on it with one foot. A bit more twisted and pushing and the creature gave up the fight and succumbed to the wound. Reinaan pulled his weapon out and scanned the area. There were so many enemies it would be hard to focus. The boy's nude form was already splashed several times over with blood from the first two gnolls. Maybe he'd actually be a proper red Draken after this. The gnoll injured by the second bolt would become the next immediate priority. The bolt had apparently hit one of its eyes as it was bleeding greatly from one socket and the eye looked horrible. It brandished its axe as Reinaan readied himself to engage again. "Ziiyol," he said, his spirit appearing behind him in a puff of flames though keeping herself visible to only the Chosen. "Go to Keres until I call you back over." he gave his simple order which he hoped would be obeyed quickly. "Of course Reiny." she said with a smile as she drifted off to the Water Chosen's side. Oh how she hoped to find out how well gnolls burned.
