“Well… we’re waiting,” Herc said after a tense few seconds of staring. Although it was only a few seconds, it felt like three weeks had passed by. Suda turned to Suzume. “Well, ya gonna spin at him again or something?” He said dryly, before a thought came to his head. “Actually...” Without waiting for her answer, he formed an orb right in front of her. In seconds she would feel the orb pull on her towards Herc. “Move forward a bit, and leave her to me,” Rei remarked. Herc obliged, slowly moving in front of the hologram-like apparition and taking a stance. He wasn’t sure what she was doing, but he would trust her for now. As Suzume was shot forward, legs rotating and ready to kick into some beetle husk, Rei dived into the girl, gripping her with her right arm. Rei snapped her left hand’s fingers, returning herself to the checkpoint that was now just behind Herc. Rei made sure to immediately let go of Suzume afterward, causing the darker-skinned girl to rocket down the train car, crashing spectacularly into the wall at the back. “I can take care of her. You focus on your classmate!” “Kick his ass!” Suzume called out from the back. “Then help me with silverbitch over here!” Herc looked over to Suda and shrugged before speaking in his evilest, graveliest voice he could manage. “We’re not so different, you and I. The girls are limiting our true potential. We could be rid of them, and rule this train!” He then dropped his voice back to normal. “Or you know, be able to actually fight at full power without worrying about squashing them,” Suda grinned. “As fun as it would be to kick Suzume’s butt for a second time.” He said, cracking his knuckles. “I’ve got a train to catch.” “Shit, that was pretty good,” Herc muttered under his breath. “Even worse, I don’t have a witty train pun,” “Sounds like you’re thinking on the wrong track,” Suzume said from the back, getting up to her feet and facing her classmate. “Now I’m losing my train of thought guys!” Herc called out. His mind was whirling, he needed a really witty remark here. He couldn’t lose this mental battle! “Alright fine, then the pain train has left the station!” Herc called out, knowing deep down it was not as good as Suda’s quip. He took off, charging at his new rival. As Suda watched Herc start charging towards him, he raised his arm upwards, releasing another orb onto the top of the train. He knew he wasn’t going to be able to toss Herc around easily, even with his newfound mastery, so instead he was going to toss around what he could - himself. The orb pulled on Suda as he jumped, pinning him onto the ceiling as gently as he could. With a thud, he watched as Herc charged onwards beneath him. “It’s over Herc!” He shouted. “I have the high ground!” “You underestimate my power!” Herc called out as he skidded to a stop. He then grabbed onto the wall, climbing up its side and clinging to the ceiling. He then charged once more at his opponent, a new plan forming. Suda was shocked when Herc started climbing on the walls of the train, although it was fitting. As he watched the massive beetle man began to charge towards him, he started reducing the force on his orb, dropping him gently towards the ground. Herc watched as Suda gently floated to the ground like he was the messiah. It was neat and all, but he couldn’t let him get away with it this time. Herc took a mighty leap, tackling Suda in the air and sending the two crashing towards the ground and the girls.

Punishes "blind MSTing" and Ritual Summoning from deck is nice, but I find it overshadowed by that Snake in Jar Trap that Summons from the ED with the same conditions. Maybe if it let you also Tribute monsters your opponent controls, you would be onto something closer to the level of the aforementioned Trap.

"Whoops." Alois casually lifted the sheets of paper off the table as Acantha made her move for them, a small smirk on his face as he did. Bringing the papers down on the beaver's head lightly then, he said, "sharing is caring, so learn to share a bit better with the others. Not like this tells me anything anyway." With a playful smile on his face, he said, "so I guess your secret's safe for now beaver girl." Looking over to Edrick as the Pontic made his comment, the boy said, "well, I don't know about that." Mostly because he didn't know what it was Edrick was talking about. "But, it certainly seems like the adults of this place are up to something." Walking over to Penelope and the new girl, the boy said, "hey princess." Handing the documents over to her, he said, "take a read. I think it'll pique your interest." After giving her the papers, Alois made his way away from them and said, "well, I'm going to see how things are topside. Later." The boy also thought that, perhaps, there would be more crates for him to smash open. With a wave, Alois made his way up the stairs, only to see the others already snooping around. "Well, well, super sleuths, find anything interesting? I've already found out that my town might be some kind of cult. Crazy day." Without waiting for their response, the boy decided to go follow suit and snoop through the mayor's things even more. Opening the wardrobe, the boy said, "well, what do we have here?" At first glance, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary. It was just a regular wardrobe with nothing but regular clothing and the few fancy attires for when a holiday called for it. However, as the boy continued to rifle through the man's clothing he eventually saw something that caught his eye in the back of the wardrobe. Moving the close out of the way, the boy simply muttered, "how curious." What was there was what appeared to be a large letter "O", or a circle, carved into the wood. Tracing the circle with his finger and then tapping it, the boy shrugged as nothing happened. Tsetseg continued to look at the rat with bright eyes, as it seemed to look back to her. Though it hadn't answered her the first time, or at least in any way she could understand she simply asked again. "What are you doing down here little ratty?" The rat, meanwhile, simply ran about in circles as one would expect of a rat, before standing on its hind legs and gesturing to the room. Furrowing her brow, the girl seemed to deep in thought about the creature's gestures before saying, "oh, oh, oh! Do you live down here?" The rat shook its head. Continuing to furrow her brow again, the girl tried to understand what the rodent could possibly be trying to tell her. However, she wasn't particularly great at reading animals when it didn't come to hunting them. As such, the meaning the rat was trying to convey was lost to her. Even as she tried to think more on it, she simply decided that it was best left to others before saying, "hmmmmmm," the girl shakes her head. "I don't get it, nope. But," with a bright face she then proceeded to ask, "do you want to come along?" With a nod, the rat scampered to Tsetseg, the girl holding out her hand for it to climb on. With the rat scurrying up her arm and now perched on her shoulder, the girl then looked to the others with a bright smile. Happy to have a new adventuring companion at her side, the girl then looked around to inspect something in this great and mysterious house. Looking at the wall, noticed something strange about it. It was covered in strange squiggles. The girl had felt she had seen these squiggles before, something similar to what she had seen in the fox's village. And the covers of books. And sometimes papers in general. Yet, as always, the meaning evaded the girl's comprehension. And so, she looked to her protean companions saying, "do you guys know what these squiggles mean?"

Away from the crowd, and the high tensions, Kelsey had calmed down. By the time they got to the shop that Stella picked out the girl was all smiles again. She only realized what they were doing when they entered the store. The idea that they had gone out to get school supplies lowered her enthusiasm slightly. She watched as Stella geeked out about things like binders and folders and her smile grew wider and wider. Finally she dove towards the girl and wrapped her in a hug. Pressing her cheek to Stella's she said "Awww, aren't you the cutest nerd in the world." She teased before pulling back. "Only you could get so into something like this. You know I have no idea what I'm supposed to buy, right?" She waved her mechanical hand around at the shelves. "All this might as well be another language as far as I'm concerned. How bout I just pay for whatever you pick out, sounds good right?" "Doctor Patete?" "I'm Kansuke. I was assigned to pilot the HYD-Tyrannos. I was told to speak to you regarding--The implant procedure, as soon as possible." Florence stared blankly at the boy. "I'm not the doctor. If you're sick go find the school nurse or something. We probably have one of those. Maybe I can build one...Hm, it would need some scalpels for hands....but wait what about non-surgery illnesses..." She seemed to forget that Kansuke was there for a while and would need him to get her attention again. One he did she'd continue. "You're still here....hm, you look like someone I was supposed to do some implanting for." She sighed. "Such a hassle for so little return...fine, meet me at the nurse's office, I'll need her to stick things in you first." The nurse's office, as it turned out, was much like what you'd expect from a school nurse. Except larger, with more monitors than usual on the walls, as well as a large shelf stocked with various fluids. Some of which seemed to be neon. The nurse looked up from her desk as they came in. "Oh, no." She said, sighing. "I hoped that we'd break the record of one day before a major injury...oh, but you seem to be perfectly well." The nurse seemed uncomfortably surprised by the lack of disfigurement. "Unless it's a brain issue." "It is." Florence said. "His brain is broken. We need to fix it. Right?" Florence turned slightly towards Kansuke. "How unfortunate...." The nurse looked to Kansuke and spoke slowly. "I am Nurse Profen. Ivy Profen. Can you understand me?" As Chase made his way to his room he would notice something unfortunate for him. Several doors down he saw the horned girl, Weston's roommate, standing in front of a door. He would notice that Weston's name was on the side of the door. Which meant that his room was near the movie star. The girl was silently staring at the door, with one hand on the mechanism that would open it. With a sigh she pressed it and took several steps backwards. A bucket dropped from above the doorway. And with it some kind of sticky, honey-like, liquid which splashed onto the ground and created a puddle. Nodding to herself, seemingly resigned, the girl stepped over the puddle and returned shortly into the hallway with a hand-held cleaner and crouched to start cleaning the floor of the liquid. The bird watched as the two made their way across the vast expanse that was the field. Somehow despite that they had ran past it the same bird was still ahead of them. Even though it was still just digging at the ground. Almost as if to say "Yes, you're still here, what are you going to do about it?" Or perhaps the bird didn't intend anything by it. After all it was just a bird.

"I'll be fine," Edrick replied. While he didn't really look fine, Catriona decided to take him at his word. Perhaps he was hungry? That could be it. They did skip lunch, after all. Alois seemed fine as well. "Oh no, I've got this all under control," he said with a smile. Since neither of them needed her help, that left her with...little to actually do. Watching the boy open the box, it appeared that there was something suspicious about the papers, though she wasn't able to read them from this distance. "This almost looks like an Ordination..." Edrick muttered, having walked over to take a closer look. Catriona wasn't quite clear on what that was, however, so she merely shook her head in confusion. "I have no idea," she admitted. Regardless, it was becoming a little crowded in that area, so the lord decided to check up on the others and ask Alois and Edrick about it later. Taking a circuit around the room, the white-haired woman didn't notice anything particularly off about this place, at least nothing that hadn't already been discovered, though she didn't take the time to thoroughly inspect it either. Penelope and Citron were in a corner rifling through books and herbs, and they looked as if they would be there for a bit. Seeing that multiple people had moved into the hallway, Catriona walked through the doorway separating the two rooms. Surprisingly enough, there was only one person there. Ciela, who was standing in front of a shelf filled with wines of various ages. The others had disappeared, likely through the door that Shiro had mentioned earlier. "Did you find anything?" Catriona asked, glancing at the shelf herself. And then she paused to take a closer look. "Miriam 543. That's a good vintage." It's one of the last good ones from that region before the fall of House...Mirrahel. She turned to look at Ciela, feeling as if she had made some kind of faux pas. "No matter." Much as she was tempted to grab a bottle, she knew that she should refrain. The lord glanced around the hallway again. "Did the others go downstairs?" -- "Do you think the mayor will be upset if his things go missing while we're watching?" Cora inquired. The beaver named Acantha nodded, pulling a face, before moving on to its question. In response, the girl gestured under the table at the scratch marks. "He wants us to know something but I haven't the slightest idea what. I just wish I could see the whole picture. It feels like I'm missing so much." The creature walked under the table and stared up at the marks, tilting its head to the side. If it was right, then that was-- A small thud from above prompted the beaver to waddle back out. "I only have two eyes," Cora grumbled, one of her elbows resting on the table. The beaver let out a commiserating sound, before turning as Alois walked over to the two of them. "Well, you only need one to see this." He shuffled some papers around, placing them on the table while still holding them, "so, Cora, Acantha," his eyes seemed more focused on the beaver than the girl. "You two wouldn't happen to know what a Caller is, would you?" The beaver froze at that, then clambered onto a nearby chair so it could look at the papers as well. Rifling through the pages, the beaver looked more and more frustrated by the second, letting out angry chitters, before finally turning to Alois and emitting a scolding hiss, attempting to snatch the papers from his hand. -- Downstairs, the rat would look a little nervous at being stared at by three different people, back arching, ears pulling back. It did squeak a reply to Shiro, though what exactly it was trying to say was unknown. Soon after, it approached Tsetseg hesitantly, nose twitching wildly, whiskers quivering. -- Outside, Licorice stared Link down, the pupils of her scarlet eyes narrowing into pinpricks. When the tension seemed so thick that one could cut it with a knife, the color returned to her face as she tilted her head to the side. "Well, I can't fault you for being careful, though it is a little annoying to have your suspicion directed at me." She sighed, leaning against a tree. "Since you're so nosy, I suppose I'll throw you a bone. To start off with," she shook her head, "No, I don't have anything to do with anybody who would have framed you. I didn't even know somebody had hired those bandits that attacked you earlier. Honestly, the forest has been having a bandit problem recently, so I assumed it was a normal ambush." Her ears flattened. "That Sienna was framed...I did hear about that when you told the chief earlier, but I have no idea who would have done so, or why." "And as for my knowledge of magic..." the fox scoffed. "I was raised in a village protected by the spirits. Of course I would know about magic. Though none aside from Sienna can actually call on the aid of the spirits, I have studied their workings extensively. Naturally, that extended to other magics as well." The Protean's tail twitched as she stared at Link. "Satisfied?" -- After Rohns began to bark and run around the badger, the creature growled again in response, lips curling back to show its teeth, though it appeared more annoyed than threatened. Afterward, it shook its head and resumed its slow trundle toward the house, ignoring the wolf cub. Were Rohns to try to stop it or get its attention, it would attempt to swipe at him with a blunt-clawed paw. -- OOC

Team Showdown - Temple of Time and Space Taiga's clothespin was interrupted by a swift blow from the Flying challenger, grazing her face, but she persevered and pushed forward. Eventually, she had made contact with one of her targets, the challenger in a big shell. Taiga grimaced as her arm made contact. She tried to send him flying, but all she managed to do was knock him over. When her opponent erupted out from the shell, they had launched some sort of colorful beam at them. At this range, all Taiga could do was put up a cross arm guard to try and deflect some of the blow. It pushed her some distance away, until she was able to steer clear away from the attack. Taiga brushed her shoulders off, and straightened her vest before smiling. "You ever get your shell cracked open before?" "My shell is the strongest! It will not crack!" They proclaimed, before the shell in question launched a multitude of spikes towards Taiga. Taiga used her bare hands to knock them off their courses, deflecting them with swift movements, before reaching out for one and catching it in her teeth. She gnawed on it for a second, trying to crush it with her jaws, but instead stood there chewing on it for some time. She spat it out right back at the Gijinka, along with a couple of her teeth. "Yeah, it's pretty tough alright...let's see if my teeth can break through!" She pointed to her teeth, which had already started to grow back into place, before starting her runners pose. She bolted towards the Gijinka at pace, and went to throw a punch, but feinted into a leg sweep with a twisted smile. The gijinka had attempted to shoot another beam at her, but it was already too late. They were already kicked off of their feet, now lying on the map. However, before Taiga could start pummeling, the Gijinka retreated back into his large shell. Taiga struggled, but she picked up the shell from off the mat, and started to chomp on it fiercely. After a couple of serious bites, her teeth clad themselves in a dripping dark energy, as she clamped down onto the shell with the full force of her jaws behind it. She could feel the little guy start to squirm inside, as he came out once again to push her with some sort of weird appendage. As it approached her, she went to bite at it too, her teeth still covered in the black energy. As it landed, the opponent winced. He shot a large torrent of water at Taiga, pushed her back and making her let go of his shell. "Too afraid of losing that shell, huh? Fufufu." She laughed, as she was pushed back against the ropes due to the force of the torrent. She managed to slip in between the ropes, and use them to swing herself onto one of the poles. "You might wanna get back inside. There's been a flash ass kickin' warning!" She jumped into the air, diving back towards the Gijinka with both feet jutted out like arrows. Water started to follow suit, as it encompassed her entire body into a sharp torrent of water that headed straight for the Gijinka's nose. Like a Deerling caught in the headlights, the Gijinka stared at the display, as Taiga crashed into them with force. She let her heels grind into his cheek, as the Gijinka's eyes faded to white. He was knocked completely out in that instant, flying out of the ring and being collected by some offside referees. "And that's why you don't mess with Taiga the Tyrant of the Tides! Now who's next!" She said, turning her head sharply towards the winged one. "You look like you could use a beatdown, pickin' on my precious Isole!" Taiga sprinted towards the winged Gijinka with increasing speed. She was definitely faster now, as she slid up to him with a right hook with a trail of water following close behind.
