  1. There was an old expression that when it rained, it poured. Going from the fight that started her afternoon, to nothing short of an awkward encounter with her new roommate, the fact that her room itself seemed to be something unsettling was really just the metaphorical cherry on top of this bad day of cake. Or something. Lifeless was probably the best word to describe the room before her, from the sterile color of the room to the lack of any semblance of decor. Even the beds, though they were built into the walls of the room, seemed to barely be apart of it. Looking back to Kelsey she muttered, "I...don't think it lived up to our standards, Kellz." The girl had as well, agreed with her new roommate about likely needing to do something about this place, but was taken aback by her sudden burst of positivity. All the same, she said, "right. I um, I'll do my best as well. Yeah. I'm just gonna," the girl then went to put her bags down against the wall, a bit hesitantly about doing so as she wasn't sure if some strange robot was just going to appear to do something about it. "Right there. Good. So uh..." Stella looked to the other two and said, "I'm uh...I think I got enough of the room for now, you guys wanna go walk around the campus...Or something?"
  2. While the girl was glaring at the boy for having her adventure ruined and thieving from her friend, the girl seemed didn't seem to let up as the boy seemed to panic at them. Jacklyn had only really been expecting him to do some kind of apology or repenting for his transgressions, but the more he insisted he was not in the wrong the more her eyes narrowed at the boy as he started to move in even more of a panicked frenzy. As he did so, the girl eventually noticed the haunter move into a defensive position, and only look mortified as it had attacked Ivan. Now thoroughly annoyed at the boy, she didn't peel her gaze off of him as he tried to run away. Instead, she made a move for it herself. Being both spry and quick on her feet, Jacklyn moved to intercept the boy and with great force, bear hug him into submission. As she did, she scowled right into his face, simply saying, "please, keep apologizing for- " she was interrupted, however, as she felt a creepily cold tongue go across her face. Having been licked by the Haunter, Jacklyn shuttered and threw Dennis at his own pokemon in reaction saying, "ew, gross, ew."
  3. Alois continued to prod at the girl until she finally seemed to wake back up. The boy jumped back fairly quickly as she seemed to begin panicking, talking about compensation and the like and only further making herself out to be all the more bizarre in his otherwise currently bizarre hometown. All the same, the boy merely watched as the strange girl explained what her business was here - that being a fruit stand vendor who went around selling something to do with lemons, and helping them? The boy didn't really quite understand it, that did stick out to him about what she said. Before he could fully process what his thoughts were, though, he let out a small chortle at the sight of the woman being interrupted by the beaver. Glancing down at it, Alois was still not sure what was up with the strange animal, and just watched as she tried to the calm the overgrown fruity lizard..."Peaches." Once she was finished talking, Alois simply gestured to himself as Gunther had pointed him out as the only local from here. After both he and Adel had asked their questions to her, the boy thought about it for a moment saying, "wait...so you set up a stall here. In the morning. Without any hassle or without talking to anybody? And no one stopped you? Like at all?" Looking to the others, he said, "alright, yeah, everything's fucked here." Turning to the beaver who had slapped the Isaurian away, he asked, "well guy, where the hell were you this morning?" Tsetseg wasn't sure why the woman thought that she was so safe when they themselves weren't. After all, Ciela had managed to bite her and when she did the woman still seemed to be injured by it. And Tsetseg was sure that foxes bit a lot harder. All the same the girl suddenly felt uneasy looking at the woman, as there seemed to be something very off coming from her as she continued speaking to Ciela, only for the lot of them to then be called in by Licorice. Slowly making her way in, Tsetseg was surprised at the sight. She had known that Licorice seemed to be feeling a bit antsy while they were walking around, but here she looked closer to a rabid animal then her usual self. As such, even though she was now a much poofier fox due to her being so disheveled, even Tsetseg knew not to approach the woman. Keeping her distance, the girl nodded as Penelope gave her answer, simply echoing, "yeah, yeah. We can't just leave you behind." Tsetseg then shot Ciela a swift glare as she mentioned this being her fault again. The young huntress wasn't exactly sure what it was that the blue haired woman could've possibly been experimenting with, and given the state that Licorice was in now, she wasn't entirely sure that she wanted her to keep doing anything with those "aphro" something or others. Looking back to Licorice with more concern on her face, she said, "yeah, can we help at all?"
  4. As Kelsey had seemed to cool off, Stella was then jolted to a more stiff and alert posture as she heard the voice of the vice principal. Seeing the woman up close now, the intimidating aura that she had shown earlier was certainly on much fuller display before her. While the woman didn't actually seem to be lecturing them, as thankfully Kelsey had backed off, it made Stella wary of what would happen if they did get into one. All the same, as the woman mentioned the situation with rooming, Stella simply nodded her head and said, "thank you ma'am. We won't." With that done, the girl looked to the others, as Vivian had mentioned getting to Stella's room the girl simply nodded. "Yeah, let's see if we can't find out where we're staying." Stella was currently in a mood to be anywhere but here. She was never a party kind of person and the longer that she had stayed here not partying the more awkward she began to feel. Couple that with her torn bag, and that while the new girl Vivian had seemed to be nice and meant no ill will, Stella still felt decidedly uncomfortable around her. Thankfully, this was only going to have to last until she had gotten to her room, and then she would be able to hide in there for the time being. "Oh..." Was all that came out of Stella's mouth at the realization upon leaving the party. Her tone was at once defeated and resigned to her fate, as she had found that the overly enthusiastic girl that was helping carry her stuff was indeed roommates. She had been informed that the selection process had been random, and thus she hadn't expected to actually be roomed with Kelsey. Though it was a bit of a bitter realization, it was one she could accept as there was only currently one person she knew of that she was uncomfortable with the idea of being roommates with. And as fate would have it, in all of its all too common practical jokes, that would be her roommate for the time being. "Well uh, what are the odds, right?" After saying that to her now roommate she said, "guess we should head over and check it out then, right?" Looking to Kelsey, she asked, "want to come with?" Stella, figured that Kelsey would rather go look for her own room and roommate at the moment, and that she also probably hadn't cooled off entirely from earlier with the girl, yet Stella herself didn't want to be left to her own devices just yet.
  5. With the matter taken care of by Rayor, Leon looked to his old acquaintance and said, "well, guess that's that." The bandit leader's death brought no comfort to Leon. He was merely a part of a much greater problem that the group was going to need to deal with. All the same, he had felt somewhat anxious to continue their journey to Enta, as he only grew more worried about more bandits or patrols that would find them the longer they stood still. However, it had appeared that some of the group wasn't done yet with here, as some continued to socialize with one another and then there was still the matter of the red haired Yonan that was supposedly going the same direction as them. There was also something else Leon needed to take care of. Though Rastarn was not her government, Leon knew that Alexis was still an Aeoran. And she herself had been a particularly pious one at that. While he couldn't think she would bring them harm, nor had she shown any intention to in this fight yet, there was still the matter of what came after. As such, Leon looked to the girl and simply asked, "so, what're you going to do now?" Edda, meanwhile, had simply been standing still. The news that the bandit had given them before his death only seemed to cause her to grow more nervous. And, in addition to that, confused. Edda wasn't sure why the Aeoran government was going after them so viciously. That they knew of her should've been unlikely. And the other two she had met so far didn't seem to warrant such a wide sweeping search. Of course, it was possible that what she had heard was true, and that the Aeorans were actually just that bloodthirsty to her people. But... The girl then eyed the Jourans up as well. Though they didn't seem to be anything special at first glance, the girl was still not sure what to make of them. And, with more suspicion, the girl eyed up Ada. She was certainly a strange one to Edda - which was saying something given how strange the entire rest of the group had been - and that she couldn't understand the concept of an Aeoran Shaman, only made her more wary of the girl. In the end, she simply stood where she was silently waiting for the group to move on, but would keep alternating between shooting glances at Ada and looking to the ground.
  6. As the young Brionne continued to make her way towards the fight, she could only begin to bubble with annoyance towards their opponent. She had looked up to Moltres and from what she could tell, the older girl was just a wandered of sorts. She had told Heatran she'd come to meet him again, and he was just trying to keep the town from exploding. And Yveltal...well, they were a weird and dangerous one for sure. Solgaleo and Lunala had helped the people evacuate from Alola when it was under attack. And she was sure the Tapu were doing their part to protect the people as well. Almost all of the legends she had met seemed to be nice people - helpful people who were looking out for the non-legends. There had only been one who she had thought was a big, dumb jerk, but even then she also had ended up leaving them alone. As such, Marie couldn't get Allie. She wasn't a fan of senseless violence. Even if her blood had been quick to boil in Trailsau, she didn't particularly enjoy the street brawl. And she certainly didn't enjoy the violence and murder that Blake had wanted to start. As such, she didn't like Allie. The girl was nothing but senseless violence. Either all of her experiences with legends had been bad ones or she was a big jerk just like Blake. Marie supposed that Allie could also just be dumb, and didn't know how else to be a chaser, but no matter the reason, Marie knew that deep down whatever Allie was doing was wrong. And while Marie didn't like having to come to blows so often, she didn't want to see Allie do something so evil as kill Heatran. As such, the girl had begun to work herself up as she got closer to the fight. Of course, she couldn't much except work herself up and pick herself up off the ground. After all, there had been a strong earthquake that had been rumbling around them as they got close, and it had really offset her balance. And while she hadn't fallen yet, the sudden second earthquake that followed seemed to be good enough to knock her down. All the same, picking herself back up she eventually moved over towards Randy, who had already been engaged in fighting the girl and said, "yeah, there's no point anyway, since we already beat Heatran before you!"
  7. Ryia had only been able to watch the scene play out before her. The council woman, in spite of her delicate looking appearance, had been seamlessly made her way over to and had slammed Lindow into the ground faster than Ryia could even begin to realize it happened. When all was said and done, Ryia simply nodded along with Pyrrha's comment about not wanting to chase after her, not at all eager to poke the proverbial hornet's nest that was Hannah. With everyone seeming to be ready to enter the city, Ryia looked to the water chosen, who seemed to be frazzled by the whole situation. Ryia wasn't entirely sure what her past with the woman had been, but at the very least her present seemed to be something uncomfortable. As such, she looked to the girl and said, "um, are you feeling alright?" Once that was all said and done, the girl had made her way into the bustling city of Myrha. The girl had quite the excited look on her face, as though the sights were new the atmosphere had reminded her of home. Not necessarily where she was from specifically, but the high energy market places were something she had always adored. From afar, of course, as having the gold they had to spend now was something entirely foreign to her. She couldn't think of anything she herself needed, and getting something that was luxury was not a thought that the young girl was capable of having. Not only that, but as they were the group's funds together, she felt spending probably any of it when they themselves had a better idea on how to both use it and greater needs than her own. As such, the girl simply said, "I'll um, go food shopping for now. If um, anyone wants to come along."
  8. Nine had been expecting a few things. He had expected either the Shedinja to be provoked by him and attack him, or to ignore him and keep up their mark against teh legend. In the case of the former he wasn't really sure he could win against them in his current state so it was little more than a bluff. In the case of the latter, he again wasn't quite sure what he'd be able to do to stop them. As such, Nine was prepared for nothing good to come of this, but was going to do his best as he always did. Needless to say, what followed was far out his realm of expectations. In a flash the legend had seemed to change before him. And in a blink they had managed to dispatch of the two Shedinja with seemingly trivial effort. While Nin was surprised by the legend's sudden surge of power -though they were still a legend - that did little to prepare him for what came next. As he turned to face the legend, his face went stunned as he looked at who was now before him. What was once a graceful and peaceful looking maiden seemed to be replaced with none other than a young boy. In appearance, they didn't seem all that older than Victini and their attitude certainly seemed to fit more in line with that legend's, then the peaceful and pacifist one that he had spoken to not ten seconds ago. Maybe he was simply hallucinating from blood loss? That didn't quite make sense though, as a cursory glance revealed that Nine was not, in fact, bleeding - or at least to any severe extent. Regardless, he couldn't quite make sense of what he was seeing, his mind a whir both from shock and overall pain and fatigue that all he could do was let out a, "ha." Wincing in pain as the curse radiated through his body once again, Nine lost his balance and toppled onto the ground. With a smile on his face, mixed with pain and disbelief he just let out another, "hahahaha. Man. You legends, you really are all surprises." Nine winced in pain again, the laughing doing nothing to ease his pain as he said, "glad to see you're alright." Still lying down on his back, Nine looked up as best he could towards the ghosts of his party saying, "I don't suppose you guys know what to do about a nasty curse, or something?"
  9. Ross raised her eyebrow at the mention of Morgan's father being a lich. Ross wasn't super genre savvy when it came to undead things, as thankfully she didn't have to ever deal with them...much. However, her limited understanding of a lich was something like a living pile of bones. As such, it raised a few questions in Ross's head that she didn't think needed answering, and she quickly attempted to move on with the topic. This was done for her, though, as a security guard made their over to the trio. While Ross could understand that creating a giant skeleton out of nowhere would upset people, there was something that seemed to be odd about it to her. It might've been that the girl was already thinking the world that she had found herself in was bizarre enough, and as such doing something odd was nothing out of the ordinary. But more than that, Ross had noticed that there was some people already looking at the scene of the three girls talking with the guard. That they seemed to be taking photos and likely gossiping about what was going on was what started to get to the girl. Right. It wasn't odd at all. It was just annoying. Not quite hiding said annoyance on her face, the girl simply said, "right," towards Aurora's comment. Though looking to the side, Ross simply muttered, "not like anyone got hurt anyway." Looking back she said, "if we're free to go now," the girl looked away saying, "well, we should go look for something to eat. Since you paid for the movie tickets its only fair that I pick up the slack for the food."
  10. As both Hibiki and Yuuka bluffed at the villain, she became slightly giddy to see that it had managed to that they had at least distracted the Gypsy woman. As they had finally been bested by their teacher, Yuuka seemed nothing short of thrilled. Even as their teacher had somewhat chastised them for their overall performance on the matter, it still didn't lower Yuuka's spirits any. Though this wasn't the first instance she had seen something like this in person, it was definitely the first time she had been a part of it herself, and as well the closest she had ever been in watching both parties fight against each other. As such, her mind was whirring with all different thoughts and ideas on what her classmates were capable of, about where they were lacking and about what they had actually done. Of course, seeing her teacher in action as well, had made the young girl realize that she had probably needed to get in better shape if she were going to keep up such activities. The possibility of chronic back pains also was a motivator to do so as well. With both Herc and Taro being carted off to the hospital, both of them seeming to suffer great injuries for their heroics they displayed, the rest of them were taken out to have ice cream. Yuuka, paying no mind to the stares that they were receiving, simply ordered a small cup of rum raisin ice cream, as she stood around with the others. As their teacher asked about their thoughts on the day, Yuuka smiled at her classmate's answer. "I admire your zeal Himura-san. As for me," the girl took a spoonful of her ice cream, eating it before looking back to her teacher. "Well, I must say, it was certainly a far more exhilarating experience then I was expecting today. And painful for that matter." Nodding to herself she then said, "but I still had fun working together with my fellow classmates, and it certainly was a joy to see the criminals put away. And I look forward to many more experiences of the matter." Looking to everyone she said, "as such, I shall remain in all of your care and I must applaud everyone's work today. Good job UA. Yay," giving a small cheer at the end, pumping her cup lightly into the air she then looked to Hibiki. With genuine curiosity on her face she asked, "oh right, Himura-san. Do you think you can actually turn people into vampires?"
  11. As she was outed, Tsetseg flopped forward in part surprise at the woman's deduction. Coming out from her cover, laying down on the ground, the girl was made very curious by this "Dariela" person. On the one had, she had said she was a friend to Licorice, and naturally that meant Tsetseg was happy to speak to the person, at least under normal circumstances. On the other hand, she wasn't quite sure why but there was something inherently unnerving to the young huntress about the way the woman spoke. That and that she had spotted her almost immediately, Tsetseg hadn't been so impressed with another person since she had met one of newest and greenest friends. While this was confusing enough, she was still not entirely sure what had happened to Licorice in the first place - just that Ciela gave her something weird and now Licorice was acting weird as a result. As such, most of what was being talked about seemed to be going over her head. Though, she was able to understand that Dariela kept talking about them needing to leave or they'd be eaten - or something to that extent. And that she was very clearly making Ciela and Penelope mad. Which, in turn, made Tsetseg annoyed by the woman too. "Yeah, yeah!" Tsetseg shouted, still lying on the ground covered in leaves and twigs. "We're going to wait for Licorice to be alllll better!" Nodding to herself, the girl then wondered about something else. As Dariela continued to try and block Ciela's path, Tsetseg herself not interfering in this small game they were playing as she was unsure how she felt about her blue haired companion approaching Licorice when she had been the one to cause this, she asked, "hey Dariela. Are you a uh...sheep? Mouse? Um, uhhh," the girl was confusing herself as she attempted to speak in the same language the enigmatic woman had been using before just asking, "are you fine out here? By yourself an all?"
  12. Stella's discomfort about the question was plain as day on her face. This was only accentuated as Kelsey had ended up shoving Vivian as a result of her discomfort. On the one hand, that Kelsey was willing to get as confrontational as she did on her behalf nearly brought a smile to her face. Though, the combination of all the events that had lead up to this, and the situation itself only seemed to weigh more and more on Stella. She, once again, started to feel more aware of her leg than she had been before. The off center feeling, like her weight was all lopsided and her balance uneven. The cold feeling of the steel pressing against her skin. And worst of all the strange aches that seemed to radiate all around the metal. While she simply watched Vivian apologize, Stella simply said, "it's um..." Well, she couldn't exactly say it was fine. She did find the question offensive after all. However, she backtracked and said, "apology accepted. Just, try not to ask about it in the future. Alright?" Her tone still seemed to display some discomfort, though now mixed with some kind of chiding in it. Looking to her friend she said, "hey uh Kellz, you think we should go and figure out where we're staying now?"
  13. With Jeb basically at lance point, Leon looked at the man as they tired to figure out what to do. Leon had been mostly ambivalent to the man's fate, he was a bandit after all and they didn't exactly have a history of keeping them alive. Furthermore, both Rona and Raynor had felt fairly justified in killing him, and it wasn't as if the falcon leader could blame them either. As the man started spewing out about who allegedly stole the man's boat, Leon looked to both Raynor and Yue as they seemed to have their own concerns and questions for the man. Looking to Jeb, who had still been sitting in fear, the young man asked, "well. Do you have any friends that are also looking for us?" Looking to Leon, confused, Jeb just started to stammer out, "wha- I - look. I can't tell you where every bandit in Aeora is. It's a big request - bounty - thing. Was sent out by the government of Rastarn - I guess they really don't like you lot." Looking around to see that that was likely not a well recieved comment he said, "listen, I don't know where people go to. They just hole up wherever, find abandoned buildings and stuff and do raids. Bandit stuff you know?" Leon thought about the answer for a moment, feeling like the anxieties he had been feeling were only more justified now. All the same, rather than mull on it much longer, he then said, "well, Raynor's right. If you didn't want to capture my teammates, then why did you fight against us?" "Because my men jumped you. Gotta see it through to the end, right?" Leon's eyebrow twitched as he then asked, more annoyed, "and why did your men jump us?" "Uhh...." Jeb looked away as he seemed at a complete loss for words. While he seemed to be trying to think of something to say, it didn't look like he had anything that would be at all acceptable as he tried to think of this. With a humorless look on his face, Leon sighed as he began to walk away. "Alright, Rona, Raynor. Do what you will with him."
  14. While Ryia had stood there, unsure of what to do about this council member, thankfully Reinaan had stepped up and seemed to be able to get her off Keres. Of course, Ryia was a bit stunned at the following display of affection, now only more confused than anything else as she watched Hannah walk away. As the council woman had seen fit to make her business be elsewhere, Ryia only grew more nervous as she singled Lindow out. She, similarly to Keres, didn't really know much about the Thunder Chosen. As such, Ryia couldn't help but wonder if she had known about Lindow's abilities to obtain other spirits. It would only make sense, then, that she would be worried about him attempting to harm them for their powers as well. While Ryia was confident that Lindow wasn't out to get them like that, she was also confused as to how Hannah would have even learned that in the first place. Which meant that that might not have been it. And if that were the case then - well, Ryia wasn't quite sure what kind of a past Lindow had, but could only figure it was something worth being cautious of. All in all, the council member seemed keen on leaving after her threat - or at least simply leaving them to their own devices. With her own mind a whir, Ryia looked to the council member, "um, right. Uh..." Figuring that she suddenly seemed very rude here, she did a hasty and awkward bow saying, "it was a uh, pleasure...Meeting you, council member Hannah." Looking to everyone else, clearly good to steer clear from this awkward situation, the girl said, "shall we continue onward?"
  15. Jacklyn didn't seem to be bothered by the boy's comment, her fixation on the cleansing of the lighthouse seeming to take precedent there. However, as she heard the shouting of her companion about not liking ghosts, Jacklyn looked surprised and looked around for a second. "Man, it's like she's here with us right now," Jacklyn said towards Ivan. It didn't take long, however, for Belle to actually come up from the stairs and Jacklyn to look excitedly at the girl. "Belle! You made it. Just in time too, we were just about to - " however, she didn't say much more as she and the snack hand ghost went into a match of tug of war. While Jacklyn watched excitedly at the display of zeal that Belle seemed to have in getting her snacks back, this eventually gave way to something else as Dennis called off the ghost. Seeing just a regular Haunter appear, the girl's excited face suddenly gave way to a sigh and shear disappointment as she said, "laaaaaame." Deflated once again, Jacklyn waved the Haunter off saying, "well, not you. But," she then looked to the boy, clearly annoyed as she said, "you. You fooled me into thinking there was an adventure to be had in this lighthouse not once, but twice!" Looking at Belle and Dennis, something else clicked in the girl as, almost as if an after thought she said, "and you stole my friend's snacks. What do you have to say for yourself?"
  16. Alois continued his stare down with the old looking badger, having a familiar sense of disdain roll through him as he did for reasons that he couldn't quite peg down. It was during this time that he heard the other people start to talk about how fantastical the situation they were in was, and Alois himself couldn't help but feel like there was definitely something magic related going on. Not to mention that had been the case for everywhere else they had been so far. As the animals finally seemed to move around them and the badger huffed at basically everything that ever dared breathe, the young boy merely said, "tsk. Asshole," before turning away from the badger. Looking back to Cat as she asked her first of questions to come, the boy looked at all the animals with the same bewildered expression he had on before. Turning back to the princess, he said, "well, I'll be honest. I've been gone from here for three weeks -" stopping for a moment as he said this, thinking and saying, "wait really, that short?" Shaking his head he continued, "three weeks. And all of these weird animals - not a one of them. Hell, I would be surprised if anything as exotic as that cheerful clump of fur," he pointed to the gruff badger, "even was allowed anywhere close to the village." It was then that the group's chatter was cut short by yet another roar and scream in the distance. Feeling on edge once again, Alois followed after the rest of the group, who were now in turn following after the beaver that Alois had been abut 10 seconds away from hitting. Following the group, amusingly being the follower in his own home town, Alois continued to look at each of the familiar sights with the same unease he had had this whole time. It was then that they had come across one of the most important looking buildings, one that Alois was sure only boring things happened in. As Cat looked back to him, she simply shrugged saying, "town hall, or at least that's what I've been told. Really, it just seems like a building for old grumps that don't want to talk to anyone." At the end of the day though, Cat had come to the only logical conclusion one could when seeing a village full of animals. That it was strange. Alois never really thought anything about his village, and he didn't really know what to compare it to. After all, the only other place he had been to was 3 cities atop mountains and he was fairly certain that they weren't the standard in terms of places to live. This train of thought didn't last long, though, as the group saw a giant pink lizard with wings pinned against one of the villages many self serving stalls. "Whoa." The creature itself was far more unique than any he had yet to meet - the people turning into animals and visa versa still taking the cake for most unique - and the boy couldn't help but marvel at the clearly foreign sight. And, as far as the rest of the village had gone so far, a sight even more unique than the pink lizard thing. Another person. Seeing Edrick go to help the wyvern out of its binds, Alois may have been inclined to help. However, there was something about being in the face of an angry, sharp teethed lizard that was snapping at you that didn't seem to appeal to Alois. Instead, he turned to his knight companion and said, "well, you're the animal guy." With that out of the way, Alois moved to go assist the girl instead, though, more out of curiosity than anything else. That there was another person in this otherwise animal run town was surprising in of itself. However, it didn't take a genius to realize that she was not from this town - or this part of the continent for that matter. As such, that she was even in Phar to begin with was something that Alois could barely make sense of. And so, wanting to get answers from the unconscious girl, Alois squatted down next to her and start poking at her face. "Hey. You. Get up. Come on."
  17. Kiyoko looked at Hotaru as she made her final comment on the matter. It was an interesting sentiment, one that Kiyoko was widely unfamiliar with. She had only ever thought of pressing forward and always keeping active, always making sure that she was ready when the time would come. Yet she had never once considered what would if happen if that time had come while she was busy preparing for it. Truly, her new found signer companion had a wisdom foreign to Kiyoko. Or she was just very lazy and attempting to cover it up with what sounded like wisdom. The stalwart girl had a hard time figuring out if Hotaru was the type to simply save her energy for when it was needed or if she truly was just lethargic. And as such, she hadn't the ability to pass proper judgement at the time. Truly a frustrating situation she had found herself in. While all of this was going on in her head, all Hotaru would be able to see would be Kiyoko's face scrunching up in deep thought as she seemed to be both deep in thought and almost glaring at her. Eventually, coming out of her deep thought, Kiyoko had walked over to the girl. "There is something to your words that I cannot dispute Hotaru, and yet they do not sit well with me. As such," the girl took a seat next to Hotaru, looking back to the girl. "As such, I say we attempt to see merit in the others way of thinking. I will sit here for now, doing nothing alongside you. And then after that, we will do other things together in order to get ready for the coming missions we are to have. Then, at the end, we will see which of our ways of thinking hold more merit. A fair deal, correct?" Without even waiting for an answer, Kiyoko simply sat still as she closed her eyes and folded her arms as she faced forward.
  18. Jeb, for his part, had all but resolved himself to being killed at the hands of this whacko ass band of mercenaries. This resolve, however, seemed to matter little as he was suddenly struck by a blast of dark magic that knocked him off of his feet. He was already bleeding profusely from both his axe and arrow wound, and despite the power that Ada outputted being smaller than normal, still definitely felt a few of his bones break underneath it. All in all, Jeb was a barely living mess, and now pressed between the cart, the devil on wings, the devil of the seas and the magical devil, he felt that he was pretty much damned at this point. As Susanoo had placed his axe towards Jeb's throat the bandit had no idea what to do. While dying was certainly easier at this point, it took a man of greater resolve than himself to push the blade in of his own volition. And knowing that telling Susanoo the same thing he had been saying this whole time was going to do very little good for him. There was a small problem, though. "I- I swear, I didn't have nothing to do with your boat. I- I didn't even see the person who did." The bandit gulped knowing he needed to pull some kind of rabbit out of his hat. "B-but, it's probably on the water - they probably took it by water - not land -" as Jeb realized that all he did was confirm the person who stole Susanoo's boat wasn't a being of herculean physical prowess he doubled back saying, "the boss! I'm sure if it's not still at sea then it's with the boss...most stolen things that big go by him. He um...he's probably in Enta? He likes boats so he's probably at fault. Not me." After spewing all that out, the man then looked towards the others that were entrapping him. "Well...the hell do you all still want me alive for?"
  19. While Yuuka had manged to grab onto the legs of the woman they were fighting, it seemed that this was only a short lived victory. The girl, being as acrobatic as she was, had managed to swing her legs into the air with both her and Hibiki on them. While Yuuka's base objective of poisoning the leg was a success, the amount of poison was likely more leaning towards a failure's number as both she and Hibiki were given a lesson in flying, a lesson Yuuka had not wanted to experience either times this day. As the duo landed on the ground, Yuuka letting out a small grunt of pain as this happened, the silver haired girl slowly stood back up again. Trying to stretch her pain out, she marveled at Gypsy's gymnastics yet again as she tore her way down the street, only to look at her bat companion as she started to relay part of her plan. While Yuuka was interested in this plan, even her expression was dumbfounded by Hibiki's sudden threat to turn the man into a vampire. However, the shock of how unbelievable a statement it was soon replaced with an extreme wonder of what it would be like if she could turn people into vampires. All the same, remembering the girl's earlier warning, Yuuka didn't seem to think too much on it - at least for now as she would have to do great study into bats to see if there was any way someone with a bat quirk could make a vampire - and instead saw Hibiki's attempt for what it was. A hostage attempt. Generally speaking, bluffs were fine as far as heroing went. They were a sign of quick thinking and, in a different application then what most thought of, social skills that were required of a hero. Hostage situations, were much less so. Deliberately using another person as a shield of sorts was far more in a villain's book of tricks than a heroes, and though it was necessary for each side to borrow from one another from time to time, the fact remained that Yuuka did not think the idea was a very heroic one. Not to mention, were she to take a hostage, Yuuka was a bit confused why she went for such a lie when she had a perfectly good broken bottle shiv earlier, and Yuuka herself was a walking bio hazard. In spite of all of this, though, Yuuka would've been lying if the bluff into question didn't greatly amuse her and she was curious to see what came of it. And so, with a sudden look of surprise Yuuka said, "oh. So that's what happened to that one kid at the entrance exam."
  20. While she and the rest of the group were ready to leave this dumb volcano with a big dumby that Marie didn't want to be talking to anyway, said dumby had elected to give them a warning before they left. Marie didn't really know what he was talking about in specific, but she had already seen plenty of things since coming here that made her think something terrible was coming. Between their fight with Allie, then Yveltal, and now having to stop a volcano from erupting, she had already been apart of several "impending disaster" type situations. All the same, the girl nodded saying, "of course! Next time I'll be back, I'll be stronger than waaay more legends than you could imagine." Seeing a chance to prove themselves so appearing before them, as a sandstorm whipped up and Randy presumed it to be Allie, Marie took a deep breath to calm herself before looking down the mountain once more. As Randy made his comment about making an exception, Marie simply huffed and said, "of course we can fight her. She's nothing more than a bully, and I'm not just going to let a bully do as they please." Looking back to the legend, she simply said, "see you again soon," before beginning to make her way down the volcano side. While it was difficult, the group managed to get down at a fast enough pace to see the storm of sand whipping around in the town up close. Knowing that the sand would be painful to trek through, and that it would just be a pain to deal with in general, Marie took in a deep breath. Letting out a soft set of notes, the sand slowly seemed to calm down as the skies around them darkened and rain started to pour on the ground beneath. With that, Marie with her eyes filled with determination started walking forward once more. "Kayla!" Seeing the deputy get blasted with the fire, Nine felt a small panic go through him, only for his attention to now be fully on bringing down the Chandelure. With them firing a blast of ghostly energy at them, Nine leaned more forward as he rolled past the shadow ball. At the apex of his roll, he then sprung off the ground, his body coated in a dark aura as he moved to kick at the Chandelure. As his foot made its way to them, it suddenly connected with a ghostly doll spawned in to take the blow, and he was met with a retalitory fire blast from the Chandelure. Standing back on his feet, Nine ignited one of his palms, clashing flames as the two attacks hit each other. While his own fire was not enough to stop the attack completely, and the Cofagrigus had made sure that his usual immunity to fire a non-factor, he still had managed to sweep the flame away and power through that which hit him, letting loose another dark infused kick into the Chandelure. "You need to stop this, you don't know what you're messing with, idiot." As she said this, the Chandelure fired off yet another shadow ball, at him, the Houndoom bracing himself against it as he charged himself with a dark aura to go in for yet another strike. "I told you, I'm a Chaser." Stepping forward, Nine swung his fist hard into the ghost, bringing them down to the ground as he did so. "Getting in over my head is what I live for." With that, he started to feel the pain radiate through his body, and he was finding it much harder to stand. "You won't live for long." As she said this, the woman's eyes flashed and she went unconscious. Nine could then start to feel as though what little strength he did have was starting to vacate its way out of his body. His arms felt heavy, his legs were wobbling, and he was having trouble simply keeping himself up. Looking at the defeated ghost, Nine just smirked and said, "I know." Turning to face the other Shedinja that were attacking the legend he shouted, "hey!" Nine pointed to the Drifblim. Then the Cofagrigus. Then the Chandelure. And then to the two of them. In spite of his worn out form and clear physical exhaustion and damage, he still wore a cocky smile on his face and a daring look in his eyes. "Which one of you two want to be next?"
  21. As both of the bandits had been felled by spear and spell alike, it only left Jeb on the defensive. He had resigned himself to his fate as a bandit boss, being the man that was supposed to die here and now mostly because that was the societal, nay the universal expectation of him. It was mostly what he signed himself up for as well when he started this life, and it wasn't like there was much out of it. He didn't really have any skills to profit from, any sort of life outside of this. Not that it was a bad life, it was profitable, he had managed to stay low and under the radar and managed to lead a group of men that never had to deal with the soldiers of Rastarn, the guards of Enta, or his sometimes tyrannical demands. It paid good money - or rather he made good money - and, outside of the life impending danger, had its share of good moments. So, if he were to die here, he would do so as a proud bandit. Who was honestly not sure how large a bounty he even had and definitely, "DIDN'T STEAL YOUR BOAT!" The last part he just shouted, almost seemingly out of nowhere, but it was all he could get out as a plain looking boy started to walk towards him. As he prepared his axe, an arrow from the side suddenly struck him, making this whole ordeal all the more unpleasant. With blade at the ready, Leon looked to the man and said, "Jeb, was it?" "What's it to you?" "I have one question for you. Are your men looking for Jouraans?" "Every bandit this side of Aeora of is - well, except for me. I don't need that kind of fame on my back." "Fame?" The man looked at Leon with a confused and annoyed expression saying, "have you been living under a rock? There's a huge bounty to find one and turn them in. 'course, the goal was to find one. Where the hell did the other three even come from?" As he asked this, Leon deemed the time for talk was over as he charged forward. While the bandit seemed ready to intercept Leon's blade, what he was not expecting was the boy to instead smash his leather shield into his chest. Being shoved back, Jeb felt the wind knocked out of him, only to see that now in a cruel act of fate, he was faced down with the very same Jouraan he didn't want to run into. The man's hands were shaking as he was gripping the axe, looking up slowly and seeing the full majesty of the winged scaled beast before seeing his rider. As if a demon on wings, Jeb was fully frightened at the sight and could only say, "you - you! -" before moving to slash upward with his axe, slashing both the wyvern and his rider. The attack had done damage, more than any other bandit could've hoped for but even that didn't seem to hurt the rider too much. And not nearly as much as Jeb was about to feel, as she herself brought her axe back down and crushed into Jeb's body. Jeb was very much on his last legs now, and it was more a matter of who would kill him rather than if they could.
  22. As the group began making their way closer to the village, it had appeared a trio of the females had went to go check on Licorice instead. Alois, having been mostly caught in his own thoughts of annoyance, had barely registered that the giant fox had actually left their group to begin with. However, as he saw Penelope getting ready to split off from them Alois was not at all convinced that she was going to be fine by herself. All the same, he didn't say anything on the topic and instead looked to the girl as she gave her parting comment to him. Putting his hand to the back of his neck, rubbing it as he suddenly felt flustered, he simply said, "yeah. Right. Sometime later." Sighing as she left, Alois could only think that this girl was far too dangerous to be around. As the group continued to make their way closer to Phar, they eventually stopped by a guard post. While Alois was bracing himself for the inevitable greeting, to put it as positively as one could, they passed by it without a word being spoken from it. As both Cat and Gunther had mentioned that their weren't any guards, Alois furrowed his brow. With Gunther making his comment about a lack of bandits in the area, Alois only muttered, "that's not it..." Alois was on guard as they made their way through, surprised that they even did at that. As they kept making their way through the village, it was getting weirder and weirder for the boy the further they walked towards it. As far as the eye could see, there was no one here. No one manning the guard post. No one going about their duties. No one goofing off. No one telling them to leave. No one. To make matters even stranger, there was a plethora of animals that continued to show themselves that continued to stare at them. While the sight alone was enough to make the young fighter uncomfortable, that they were continuously staring at him only felt more off putting to him. There was another thing about these animals, one that he had realized fairly quickly to only make his discomfort even greater. "What the hell is going on here?" As the beavers that they had met before, as apparently there were beavers in town now, the animals around them seemed to start moving excitedly towards them. Staying on guard himself, despite the knight moving to go play with the furry rodents from before Alois simply said, "I wouldn't let your guard down around them just yet." As he said this, he noticed one animal in particular not moving up. Sitting and silently glaring at them, Alois simply felt the urge to return the glare right back at him, a clear annoyance mixed with confusion on his face. Moving along with her white haired friend, to help navigate through the forest and because she was curious about the fluffy tailed Licorice as well, Tsetseg had followed Penelope on her search. As they saw signs of a beast ravaging their way through the woods they were in, Tsetseg wondered what really was going on here. Cocking her head to the side, the girl asked, "bottle?" As Penelope had brought it up. The girl was confused by what she was talking about, though given the context she figured it was some kind of poison. While this had at first affirmed that her initial thoughts on Ciela being a "blue haired meanie," having apparently used a poison on one of their friends, that Penelope seemed to be amused by what it was confused her. Maybe it was a funny kind of poison? The girl didn't know if such a thing existed, but given her white haired friend was smarter than her, the girl figured that it must. As they had finally made their way to their destination, the group heard a pair of voices speaking with one another. While one of them was familiar, with another being not so the girl couldn't help feel her curiosity rise. Though, as Penelope went to go announce their presence, the young huntress nodded saying, "oh, yeah, yeah." Finding something to hide within, the girl attempted to silently take cover and observe who it was that it was before them.
  23. As the trio continued to make their way through the enormous crowd, Ross realized that her crowd dodging skills were quite lacking. Ross had had to navigate a horde of monsters before. She had to navigate a crowd of people in terror from said monsters as well. However, there was nothing that could have prepared her for this. Something that was completely out of the girl who had more or less lived under a rock for years. Boy band fans. As the girl tried to keep herself from being swallowed by what seemed to be just a monstrous mass of people, she eventually heard Aurora next to her. The girl could only sigh as she asked her question, not really up for explaining what it was she was. While normally "Hunter" would've been good enough, Ross figured that was both far too vague, not very informative and would probably only lead to more questions. In all honesty, the girl herself didn't quite understand what it was she was, and having to go through explaining the whole process was both gross and not something she particularly enjoyed. Perhaps leading with "blood drinker" wasn't her best ice breaker. "It's complicated," she started, "but I guess-" Before Ross finished her statement, a skeleton had suddenly appeared among the crowd, causing the people to scatter away in a mild panic. Ross was on guard for a moment, herself a bit taken on edge from the creature's appearance, only to them calm down as she realized who on board it. Seeing the witch atop her now freshly created mount, Ross had to admit that she was surprised the girl was more than hot air, even more so by the magic she was using. Even amongst demons, necromancy was a bit of a rare power. Especially at this size. Especially without a corpse. All the same, the girl wasn't super comfortable with being lifted off the ground by the giant boney hand, but seeing that Morgan's intentions were probably one part selfish and one part helpful she figured she had to offer some gratitude saying, "thanks." Thinking on it more though, and thinking it might bring them in trouble, the girl said, "but, if you didn't want to walk through the crowd, couldn't you just fly over it?" That was a thing Witches did, right? "Oh right." Turning back to Aurora she continued, "I guess the best you could call me would be a demon. Well," thinking on it for a second she said, "I guess more like a half demon. Not really sure about the ratio of human to demon, to be honest." Curious now herself, though, seeing that Morgan was actually magic and standing next to Aurora was like standing in front of an open freezer, she asked, "how about you two? You got anything not human about you?"

  25. As Stella braced herself for the punch at her bag, the fist seemed to have more force in it then either of the two girls seemed to be expecting. Stella just barely managed to hold of her bag as, while she was expecting it to be punched, she was not expecting it to be torn and thus have all of the weight shift out of it. Keeping her hold however, the girl simply looked at the contents of her bag having spilled on the ground. It was nothing worth being sad about, just a few articles of clothing and school supplies that Stella had on hand. Looking up to see that friend was taking it hard, Stella immediately tried to wave it off, saying, "oh, it's fine Kellz. I probably wasn't just braced for it properly, and I'm sure there's bags here in the school. Ah," as she moved her hands to wave her in reassurance, more spilled out of her bag prompting Stella to let out an awkward chuckle, before trying to reassure Kelsey again. "Really, it's fine." After all, it was still Stella's fault. After saying that, the other girl Vivian had elected to pick up her stuff, to which Stella simply said, "oh, thanks." Reaching down to grab her stuff as well, awkwardly placing it in her torn bag and trying to hold it so that the tear was facing up. As the girl looked to Stella again, and asked about her leg, Stella instinctively stepped back with her metal leg. Her expression was clearly uncomfortable at the question, but she didn't really say any more than, "um, no. It doesn't." Though, she would be lying if she had said she ever actually tried to kick with her leg, both due to being unaccustomed to the leg itself and a less realistic fear that she might accidentally launch it off her body by accident. Still, continuing with her answer she said, "it just kind of helps me walk." As she remembered her time on the Finnback, she added, "most of the time at least."
