  1. As the conversation went to what it was they had actually stolen Ryia could only help but go wide-eyed at the small scaly creature that had walked into the room. Ryia was at first not quite sure what to make of it. After all, she had traveled around with a lizard for some time now - Kloqah that is - so seeing such a small creature wasn't anything new to her. Though, the wings were certainly unique. In fact, she couldn't think of many creatures at all that were both lizards and winged. The only thing that came to mind were the tales of the great and powerful dragons but those were, well, great and powerful and typically huge. This was small. But they had stolen and egg and it had hatched. And that was what came out of it. But it was small. But it just hatched. It didn't seem powerful. But it could destroy the forest. The girl's thoughts were starting to spin out as she knew she needed to ask something to make sure that what she was thinking was certainly correct. Still baffled and unsure, the girl asked the room, "is uh...that's not a uh....it's...is that a small dragon?" "No, it's not," the girl said. She shook her head and then pointed at Ryia and declaring, "it's a baby dragon!" "U-uh...I...how do you - well, I guess I know why but uh," she paused for a bit, her head was racing with questions and the overall casual tone that this girl had did certainly nothing to alleviate them. Finally the only thing she could think to ask to progress forward was, "why did you have a dragon egg?" "Because I took it. It was locked up in the museum for a long long time. I always saw it and thought 'that's kinda sad its just sitting there unable to hatch' and when I was leaving I thought...might as well grab it while I was at it!" "We almost got caught because of it." the boy chimed in. "But we didn't!" The girl's attitude seemed to have relaxed once she began to talk about the dragon. They just took it. She just took it on a whim. From a museum. There was a sense of altruism, she supposed, in the motive but with how casual she talked about committing grand theft of something that powerful Ryia's head was almost visibly steaming from being overwhelmed. It wasn't as though she thought they were bad people either. In fact, that they seemed fine made this only more confusing and made Ryia even less unsure of how to handle this situation. She was in fact so confused, that she could only dumbly ask, "does it...have a name?" The boy let out a groan at this, but the girl looked excited. "Of course, I named him myself, he's Sparky!" The girl let out a nervous laugh, only to look at the dragon and say, "hi...Sparky."
  2. Chester was unsure if the people here were born with a compulsion to split away from whatever group they were in as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Such a thing, in his long tenure of dealing with people both on and offline surely should not have surprised him and to an extent it did not, yet it certainly continued to get on his nerves. Of course it's not like he told them to all stay together, though he was certain they would have split off immediately anyway, and his other plan to ask questions and keep hostilities in check certainly had hit a bit of a snag as well as the Mythic Pokemon had failed to keep its own hostility in check. Chester looked over to see a blast of psychic energy flying to Es and two things had stuck out to him. One, that the being had told them that it was prone to thrashing about in its sleep. And two, that he was starting to believe his initial suspicion about the pokemon to be correct upon hearing its voice. Before he could think of how to react to the situation, Hector leaped into the fray and attacked the Mythic pokemon, much to Marv's dismay. Chester himself was a bit confused by the action but also didn't think Hector would leap into a fight without a real plan and seeing as Es had no plans on retreating either it seemed like the two had resolved to fight Jirachi themselves. Chester was at a stand still at what to do; on the one hand everyone was already far enough and way and it said that only being in close proximity to it would put them in danger. On the other hand it was only in its sleep that it posed a danger and perhaps striking it enough would get it to wake up, thus negating the danger entirely. Well, presuming it wasn't mad at them when it woke up. The more Chester thought about it the more he also realized the issue with the first. "It threw the first punch, Marv, though I don't typically condone responding to violence with violence, but the pokemon in the dungeon showed that they understand no other language. But, I think we have to worry about it being mad at us. Actually I think we're in danger as long as we're on this island and it's asleep." Surely it was easy to define what was close to a normal person, but this was a being that could speak to them from virtually anywhere. To such a being with such an awareness the definition of "close" started to fall apart. "So the only way to keep us safe is to fight! Again! To arms!" Chester wasn't quite sure why he shouted that last part but he was certain it was something a person would say in this situation. And so following his own advice he readied his two arms. Chester couldn't tell what it was, perhaps his own typing at play here like what he attributed his fear of large gale storms to, but the grass certainly felt much easier to run across then the stone floor of the cavern. In fact, it was not only easier to move through but it was as if his body felt lighter and more responsive within the grass. Sprinting forward, Chester closed the gap between him and Jirachi bringing up his fist and striking the myth with it. As it did, Chester felt a surge of power flow through him, which he used to deliver a second punch against them. Feeling as though his two arms were growing stronger with each punch, Chester felt confident in his plan. Especially as, after the second, Jirachi seemed to look a little less asleep in its tossing and turning.
  3. Gene would find any worries he had unfounded and any thoughts he might've had about the situation to be unnecessary. The break in the armor that he had caused with his sword as well as the cracks on the hand the fire had cause start to spread further and further until the entire body began to crumble and return to its original form; water. There was no trace, neither armor nor weapon, that the foe they had been fighting had existed at all saved for the puddle of water it had turned into upon its defeat. Though Sabrina and Gene may very well have felt relief in that moment they would hear no victory fan fare as the fight still raged on. The spear armor was still very much alive and Abby was still being impaled by it. They would also be able to see Marshall face first lying on the ground. She wasn't moving so it was clear that something was wrong but she wasn't in a pool of blood or anything so it was difficult to tell if she was actually dead or just in a coma. What was easy to tell though was that the spear armor and Abby were still having a clash of sorts. The hole in its armor was only growing as Abby continued to push her hand into it and pieces of the armored body started to crack open at random as the electricity coursed through it. It didn't seem like it was hampered by the attack at all, though certainly it had taken damage from its own electricity hitting it, and quickly pulled the spear out of the girl, having half of it turn to water as it had done previously, before stepping back and going in for yet another lunge against the girl, seemingly oblivious to the defeat of its comrade on the other side of the room.
  4. As Lana warily approached the two cultists, she stopped immediately as they had cast their magic. The last spell that they had used, Lana figured, required them to actually touch her and being not next to them she figured from whatever magic they were trying to do. However, this changed when they had actually finished casting and summoned a pair of semi-see through hands. She guessed that if the hands needed to touch her then it only made sense to make magic hands to do so. Of course, this rational was buried underneath a set of emotions being grossed out by the severed body parts, frightful of what they were actually going to do and as well annoyed, shouting out, "oh come on that's cheating!" As was all magic at this point to her. Except Estelle's, of course. The girl readied herself for the hands coming towards her, figuring that even if they were spooky and magic they were still just hands. Putting her axe parallel to the ground the girl took a swing at the two hands, her axe powerlessly going through the spooky hands and leaving them untouched. "Ugh, cheaters." With her attack having done nothing and not wanting to be grabbed by the ghost hands, the girl quickly hopped to the side and away from them, only for the hands to continue their pursuit of her. Thinking there was no way that she could win like this, Lana took the lesser of two evils and threw caution to the wind once more as she charged the two cultists. Hefting her axe up the girl brought it down with as much force as she could muster, striking into the head of one of the cultists and causing them to drop instantly. This success was fairly short lived, however. Feeling the ghastly hand grab onto her Lana, firstly felt grossed out, felt an immediate surge of energy pulse through her. Or perhaps it could be described as the exact opposite of energy, as her body suddenly went rigid; her grip tightening on her axe, her limbs getting stiffer and also a bizarrely foul stench she could feel coming from her body. The girl's eyes were still moving responsively enough, so she was able to see the other cultist brandish its dagger towards her. While her body could not keep up with her brain it wasn't completely unresponsive. And so she went with her tried and true method of blocking. Shifting her body the girl moved her outstretched arm to take the dagger attack instead, wondering if perhaps it would be better to invest in heavier armor when she got out of this dungeon. Estelle, not being the subject of the Bloodhulk's ire presently figured that she would take the time to take precautions for if that ever change, casting a spell on her shoes to increase her own speed. Then, going to aid Ziun the girl once more conjured two rays of fire and shot them at the ankle of the bloodhulk once it landed.
  5. Sibyl wasn't sure what Layla was getting at with her statement but she didn't think it applied to her anyway. After all, the demon girl had always thought herself rotten to the core so she couldn't see any danger in corrupting that which was already steeped in darkness. All the same this train of thought was cut off when someone new came in. A person by the name of Hellhound of which Sibyl was only loosely familiar with, both from past dealings and people liking to bring up other "demonic" related heroes to her at times. The girl didn't really have much of an issue with Hellhound themselves, though for reasons that Sibyl couldn't bother to think about the reverse certainly didn't seem true. There was surely something, or many somethings, she could've done in the past so she didn't really dwell on it, especially as their attention was then taken by the sudden appearance of four more people. As Thessa was dealing talking with the Hellhound directly, Sibyl's curious mood seemed to sour almost immediately. Looking at all of the members of the Gibbons gang, with an almost pouting expression the girl said, "you know I liked those stain glass art things. I wanted to look at them more after I was done talking here." Letting out a sigh Sibyl looked towards Lailah saying, "you said they wanted you in your capacity as Archangel here right? Well, looks like you've got no reason to resign then." Her mood taking yet another one-eighty, Sibyl grinned from ear to ear saying, "looks like I get to play at being a hero today! Hoo man, first I get to hear an awesome story and now I get to do something like this! I haven't even had lunch yet." Her second arm became coated in shadows only to then have both the arms become beefier and thicker, turning to her attention to the one in the back and on either sides of them saying, "so which of you sinners wanna go first?"
  6. Fen was surprised that the card game they had been looking for had been the one that Melissa had been familiar with this whole time. There was something interesting to her about something so common place in one person's world becoming a hit new phenomena in another, but she supposed if this were a crossroads of sorts and people came with what they had on them then perhaps people often shared fads with one another as well. Though she was also curious if this card game were something unique to Melissa's world or if it was something in other ones. She had certainly never heard of it before, with either name, but there were card games from her world and she also knew that some people could use cards as a medium for magic so perhaps such things weren't that far removed from other worlds. Nevertheless, the girl marveled at all the cards displayed only for her browsing to be halted as her nose was assaulted. Fen wasn't quite sure what the deal with the fellow that had come up to them, berating them about the "proper name" of the game they were looking at. She figured such a thing was a matter of language, or colloquialisms , and found it quite rude to just start making fun of someone for not knowing local customs. The man seemed to outwardly have good intentions as well, though only if one were to take his words at face value. The girl narrowed her eyes at him the more he spoke, feeling more at unease the longer his presence remained - and not just because of the smell - and could see that Melissa was starting to feel uncomfortable as well. A rising disdain, an instinctual feeling of protecting and just the general pride she felt as a service worker against this man's attitude made Fen take a step forward, ready to speak up to him only to be interrupted by someone who had actually worked here. Fen was left to look at the cards on her own for a bit as Melissa ran off to go to the bathroom. Perhaps she had taken Nelson's advice to heart and went to wash the hand, but this unfortunately caused the young chef to be left all alone. She felt like she was in the middle of a market with no shopping list or clear goal, being unsure where to even start with all of the cards. And so, rather than hastily do anything else, Fen started looking at all of the packs, displays and boxes of cards that were around. After a bit of time, though, Melissa had eventually come back from her trip and upon asking Fen if anything caught her eye the girl looked towards one box in particular. The girl picked up a box of a rather demonic looking chef flipping a patty of some kind with some vegetables in the foreground. She wasn't quite sure, from the demon chef's face, if he was angry or happy but he certainly seemed to be energetic about whatever he was doing and so there was at least some form of kinship she felt with this chef man. The girl showed the box to Melissa saying, "I uh, guess go with what you know and all." After paying for the cards the girl looked to Melissa asked, "so uh, how do you play the game?"
  7. Carmen wasn't quite sure what to make of Brian's leaving statement, as she was certainly fine with just living. At the very least if she had the option of living afraid or dying because she carelessly decided to fist fight a ghost or something, she would definitely like to take the former option. It wasn't as though that Carmen had no hobbies either, she had a love of digital art and was a part of many fandoms. She did work at a dead end job, though, but that was out of convenience! And qualification. And the fear and anxiety of having to go through any interview process or make any kind of comprehensive, and likely very underwhelming and insulting to a reviewers time, resume. But she had hobbies! And she was making money off of commissions. Though she was still relatively unknown, and she did just about nothing to market or network herself. Thinking on it Carmen realized that she wouldn't even be making any money off of her commissions if a friend hadn't urged her to make a business out of art to begin with. But that was that and this was this! As Carmen was attempting to rationalize things to herself Brian had already made his way back into the bathroom, and the girl was on the phone. She didn't say much, holding her breath as the man had suddenly exclaimed. The girl was surprised at how calmly he could deal with the gangly creature that he had supposedly run into, though her nerves only grew more and more as it sounded like he was being put in more and more peril by the thing. The girl stood up from her chair, though didn't dare actually step towards the bathroom but couldn't calm this sudden bout of restlessness brought on by nerves in any other way. The girl was expecting Brian to run out the bathroom, yet was still surprised by the brief dual audio she was hearing both from him being in the same room and from her phone and then backed up nervously again as he ran towards her. With how much less composed he had been then before Carmen couldn't help but briefly wondered if he had been possessed by the ghost, only to think that his new plan was a much better one than what they were currently doing. Nodding hastily she shouted, "r-right!" Despite Brian being the one to suggest the plan and run out of the bathroom, he would find that Carmen was incredibly fleet on her feet in such a situation and was quite fast to get back to the van. However, once they got outside and were about to enter the van, the girl thought about it for a moment. Their mission was to suppress the ghost that had been in the school, and while they had managed to find it without being killed, which was likely more than any of the other victims could say, they still hadn't succeeded in that. And now they were turning tail and running, and while Carmen had half a mind to just tell Brian to get in the car and drive them off back to their respective homes, they still hadn't finished their job. And Ms. White was a witness to their failure as well. Which left the girl wondering what would happen when Shiki found out that they had retreated. That was only one fear though. They had met a ghost and Carmen knew that ghosts haunted things. What if meeting them meant they were now haunted? And what if they were just dragging a ghost now into Shiki's van? That would be very bad. Both because she figured that Shiki wouldn't appreciate there being a ghost in their van and when looking for something she didn't want to suddenly be jumped by that gangly long haired specter. And then if she were haunted and left the thought of being jumped in her own private bathroom at home was perhaps the most terrifying of all. While Carmen was now thoroughly motivated to not just run away on the night she then realized she didn't have any idea what would be useful against a bathroom ghost. A plunger? Did Shiki have one of those? The one in the toilet already didn't seem to be very effective for that janitor. Carmen then had paused in place, and looked to Brian the mental strife clear on her face combined with a bit of curiosity. "Brian...why is there a ghost in the bathroom?"
  8. As the Axe wielding guardian struck the ground, the two fighting it would begin to notice something as it slowly brought back its axe back up. While there had been a subtle hum coming from the axe the whole time, they would notice that this hum was growing louder and louder as the axe raised. More to the point Sabrina would see that the slight vibration around the axe was steadily increasing and a gray energy started to fill the blade. Soon enough, the blade itself had become blurred in its vibration and the hum had become a high pitched screech as the armor finally raised the blade above its head. The two would also notice that it's aim didn't seem quite like it was trying to hit either of them. And then, at the apex of its wind up it swung the axe down, smashing the blade against the ground rather than either of them letting loose an enormous burst of sound and force from it, the blade shattering back into water briefly before moving back to slowly form the blade once more. The previously Spear wielding guardian was unable to strike Abby as she had managed to beat the weapon away from herself. Interestingly, rather than call back the weapon as soon the attack was deflected it waited until the weapon had clattered to the ground and came to a stop to do so. It took up a defensive stance briefly, waiting for the spear to come back to it before it resumed its usual gumption. However, as both of its ranged attacks had seemed to not work as intended, this time the spear wielding armor decided to approach Abby. Slowly at first before suddenly rushing forward and going in for a stab against her.
  9. Chester had Hi'd his last "yah" as he successfully punched the Cleffa, only to be immediately be interrupted by something of an incredible wind storm. The phenomena defied all forms of logic that the Chespin was aware of, and to make matters worse he felt an incredible sense of dread as he was picked up by the wind. Not the regular kind that any normal person would feel being violently rag dolled by a spontaneous raging gale. No this was something more instinctual. Something akin to his very genes telling him that anything to do with wind would be a time for his species. Though, of course, he definitely felt the first kind of dread too. He had his own wind knocked out of him as his back slammed against the wall. Then, being picked up again he was tossed into an entirely different wall, slamming his arm against that. Then a third gale picked up and tossed him once more. He could see his own demise coming as he knew he was going headfirst into a wall, and that typically slamming one's head into something was considered fatal. However, as his head smashed against the rocky surface he felt...nothing? His head felt fully intact and he wasn't even suffering from a headache of some kind. If anything, he felt more sorry for the wall, though these feelings were interrupted once more as the wind continued toss him about like a chew toy. Chester's body ached all over as he awoke to the sound of a gentle wind blowing through the area. Pushing himself off the ground, Chester muttered, "what happened?" Looking around and taking note of the scenery, the boy said, "where...this certainly isn't a cave." The Chespin was shocked by the sudden six voices shouting at him, essentially expressing his own thoughts. Albeit louder. Looking to Hector the Chespin cleared his throat saying, "that is certainly the question of the hour." Everyone's attention was then drawn to the pokemon that, as Marv - someone who had most assuredly always been a Froakie - had pointed out, was the Mythical Pokemon Jirachi. "That would certainly not be the thing I'd have expected to meet here. But," Chester looked back to the rest of the group, taking stock of them and making sure they were alright. As the moderator it was his job to ensure the safety of everyone in the group. Though, as the de facto leader as a result, it was also his job to take charge in the conversation of getting info from the wish granting pokemon. Though it seemed to be asleep and two people were already asking it questions, and as such it would be rude of Chester to interject. Though also the first set of pokemon they met that weren't them were also immediately hostile so Chester wasn't sure if conversing was even in the cards with this pokemon. Though it was also a mythical pokemon and they were not in a cave so perhaps such a thing wasn't a worry he should've been having. Though every time they had come across something new or dangerous thus far that one sided voice would warn them about it, and it certainly wasn't doing such a thing now. The Chespin was lost in thought and decision paralysis for a moment before saying, "alright everyone make sure you aren't injured and keep your hostilities in check until this pokemon wakes up. One question at a time too!" The moderator had almost told everyone to form a single file line to ensure that they each went in a proper order, but stopped himself short before looking at the Jirachi.
  10. Ryia watched the conversation flow between the two elves and Lindow. It was becoming ever more abundantly clear that the elf was the person they were searching for - that and that he wasn't the best of liars - and that both he and the woman had no intention of going back to the other elves. The mention of the barrier had come up again and, once more, it seemed that there was nothing that was preventing them from entering the forest. Given the hostile reception they had been given by the elves she found it odd that they would set something up to keep people in rather than out, more so if it was geared towards only their own kind. Of course, Ryia had no idea the specifics of how these kinds of magic worked, or how limiting or restrictive they could be so she didn't really question it that much more. Though she did look to Madelyn, thinking if there were anyone to know about such a thing it would be her, but quickly looked back to the elven duo as Lindow had brought up the Demon Gate. Ryia looked nervously at Lindow as he approached the elves saying, "um I don't know if-" then cutting herself off and looking to the elves. "Well um, yeah we were sent to, uh, well, look for you in exchange for information. About the uh, Demon Gate. Because we're trying to stop it." She repeated herself from earlier before saying, "So do you - would you two know anything about that?" The girl replied, "Wait so you want to turn us in? Nuh uh, no way, that can't happen. That would be, uh, really bad." "Uh, it would? I'm sorry, you can probably tell but we're not really uh, from here. We don't really know what's going on at all, well at least with uh your whole situation and only have what the elves from the uh, city. Had to tell us. Like I said we were uh, just given a job. Sort of. But, uh, what's wrong with going back?" "Um....why do you think they want us back, exactly?" "Um, we were told that there was a uh, traitor of some kind who kidnapped," she pointed to the boy, "him. And that they also had an artifact that could uh, destroy the forest?" "I said I'm no one important." The boy said unconvincingly, to which the girl sighed and shook her head. Then she said, "Artifact huh, guess that's one way of putting it. And there's a lot that could destroy the forest...ya know, if someone wanted to. But yeah, okay, I took something when I left so I can't just go back there after that." The exchange only left the girl with more questions then answers, giving a confused expression on her face. "I uh, I see?" Mulling it over for a bit she said, "but well, you both don't really seem like uh, bad people. I don't think. At the very least you're uh, not here against your will. Well, with her against your will, at least." The girl thought about it for a moment before asking, "so uh, what did you take then?"
  11. As the group began to make their way downstairs for whatever Lailah was going to say, Sibyl clearly not caring that her conversation had been interrupted and completely shifted to an entirely different topic, the archangel pulled her to the side to tell her about the situation. Truthfully, the demon girl didn't understand what the problem with her reading it was if she was fine pawning it off to someone else. If anything it just sounded more irresponsible to Sibyl, not that that really mattered either. All that did matter was whether or not she told Sibyl she was willing to go along with the original proposition, as Sibyl was given no instructions for barter and the Archangel's refusal sounded pretty fun too. However, the current topic shifted to the impending end of the world and what the church's thoughts on the matter was. Sibyl had to admit she didn't know much about the actual mythos behind most religions went but as far as this one went, it certainly sounded pretty cool. Two, or maybe three she wasn't sure who Astra was, locked in an eternal conflict up on the sun to see who can push it the best. That kind of tug of war probably got boring after a bit, but she liked to imagine that they were doing more than just pushing a big ball of fire up there. She had also been incredibly intrigued by Nihil and specifically his status as a "supervillain." With the two heroes having asked their questions, Sibyl voiced aloud, “ooooh, this religion stuff is pretty cool.” The girl had completely gotten into the conversation, asking, “so like this Zoro and Nihil guy are super old right? How come they didn’t just die of old age up there?” Lailah smiled a smile that betrayed how many times she and other apostles had been asked this question. "The secrets of immortality are lost to us," Lailah said, "and, unless Aeon or DEUS submit themselves to a vivisection -- something that, for the record, I do not reccommend -- it might be lost forever." She pointed upwards. "But the sun is still moving, isn't it?" she said. "If Zorro and Astra weren't pushing it away, why else would it move? If everyone was dead up there, wouldn't the sun stay at a fixed point in the sky?" Having never thought about why behind the sun, the girl nodded immediately accepting such a statement as fact. “Oh, yeah, makes sense. So then those two were just born that strong?” The Archangel nodded. "They were born with their powers if that is what you mean, just like you and I," she said. "Or, I assume you were born with yours?" The shadowy substance of the girl's power coated her arm as she nodded saying, "natural born yeah," waving it around for the others to see. Then, putting her chin in her shadowy hand the girl said, "but that's kind of a shame. After all," innocently smiling Sibyl said, "wouldn't it be awesome to have the power to just throw the sun around?"
  12. Alois had done one of the few things he did very well. Stare dumbfounded for a brief moment, both as both Citron and Edrick had partook in self defenestration and that Gaston seemed to be far more competent at fighting then he did speaking. He supposed that everyone had to compensate for their incompetence somewhere else he just wished it was in less combat oriented endeavors. All the same, this dumbfoundedness lasted for only a few moments as the situation was most certainly not under control, least of all as knives seemed to fly out towards Link, and he had opted to be a little stupid himself. Paying no heed to the dangers of jumping out a third story window nor any of the group's poor prior experiences with such things, he leaped out of the third story window on the roof of the floor below. Alois paused, again, locking eyes with the assailant that had attacked Link moments ago. "Really?" The boy couldn't help but voice his thoughts seeing the otherwise innocuous maid who, as it turned out, seemed to be something of a trained killer. Before Alois could say anything more about this the woman, in quite the acrobatic feat, had leaped from the roof to the floor down below. Letting out a sigh the boy said, "of course, why wouldn't she be able to do that. Can't just be good at cooking and cleaning no." Alois had never seen the maid before, so for all he knew she was actually terrible at maid duties and was compensating with assassin skills. Shaking his head, the boy then ran over to the edge of the roof, looking down to see that the window that the woman had jump into was already closed. "Tsk." Clicking his tongue at the woman's exceptional speed, while he would've been inclined to go help everyone else he thought a knife tossing maid was something of a hazard to everyone involved. Drawing his axe - pausing for a bit as he heard an unfamiliar yell that belonged to a familiar voice, and seeing a wyvern on the ground when he was pretty sure it was charging when last he looked - Alois decided that his life of crime in this town was phar from over. Bringing the axe down, Alois committed an increasingly familiar act of breaking to then do the usual follow up of entering, clumsily going from the roof through the window below into the room. When he looked up, he saw that there was no maid to be seen. In fact, "oh, for the love of- " The sound of cooing that seemed to be more akin to screeching, followed by wings flapping and the chaos of feathers surrounding the boy. "Who has this many birds?!" Tsetseg had continued following along the members of the militia, feeling a sense of restlessness as she wanted to be sure that they were able to bring the bad man that would push people into a hole were brought to justice. Eventually, though, it had seemed the wait had finally come to an end. While Phai was currently not with them, based on nothing at all Tsetseg had every bit of confidence that the Phar Patrol girl would be able to catch up with them. While both Cora and Acantha had horses they were getting on, Tsetseg was getting ready to take off into a full blown sprint - she thought herself quick on her feet at least. However, at the idea of being able to get a ride on a horse was brought up, both due to a mixture of common sense and the thrill of being on horseback brought Tsetseg to believe that that was the much better idea. "Yeah, yeah! Let's go catch that bad guy!" Tsetseg scrambled onto Cora's horse, a determined look on her face that seemed to be slightly mismatched with the excitement in her voice.
  13. Lana's eyes widened as the axe struck true against the cultist's body and she was able to see the pale face of her opponent. Her expression became more and more creeped out the more that she was dealing with this creature, only for her to be even more creeped out - and annoyed - as the humanoid brought its dagger up and stabbed her in the shoulder. Gritting her teeth and letting out a strained noise of pain, she shouted, "what the hell is going on with you why don't you just - hey hey hey!" The girl suddenly cut herself off as the figure's body slumped against her axe and she felt the full weight of the cultist being forced towards her. The girl grit her teeth, pushing against her axe and twisting her body to the side. It took more effort then she would've liked, her arms not feeling up to their usual strength, but eventually she was able to toss the robed man away from her and to the ground next to her. Pulling her axe out, the girl looked at the corpse cautiously. It hadn't made much of a reaction when she hit it at all, and none of the things that they had fought so far she would classify as particularly "alive" to begin with. As such she wasn't sure if the creature's death throes were actually it dying or not. But, as it remained motionless and not attempting to stab her any longer, Lana figured it was a good time to move on. With axe in hand, the girl walked towards the two cultists that were close together. Knowing what happened last time she heedlessly charged them and still feeling incredibly on edge, she opted to walk cautiously towards them rather than just full on charge. Estelle, meanwhile, had taken a back step back from the Bloodhulk. Though she was not the immediate target of its ire, she didn't want to be in swinging range of it to begin with. As Chris went to charge one of the Cultists, Estelle thought it better to keep the large hulking creature occupied with her and Ziun to buy space for him. Waving her hand, two beads of fire appeared on an equal number of finger tips. Then, tossing them one after another, rays of scorching flame were shot towards the body and head of the beast.
  14. Fen was quite glad that Melissa seemed happy with her team name suggestion. It was something that she had really thought up on the spur of the moment, and she was glad that both terms were something Melissa was also already familiar with. The girl then listened to the others talk about the nature of squads over breakfast until it was finally time to clean up. The girl had helped put away the dishes along with Melissa, and then saw Penelope out along with the rest of the group. As Melissa asked her last question to Penelope, she responded, "I would think so, we're all in this together and I'm sure there's many things you all can tell me about different worlds. I can't exactly ignore that chance. Not to mention...well, actually, I suppose I won't mention that just yet." Fen raised an eyebrow at her statement, but smiled and waved the Strategic girl off as well. "Well it was a pleasure to meet you as well Penelope. I hope we call work with your squad one day in the future." Once the girl had left, Fen looked to the others. Nodding to Trevor she said, "thanks for reporting to Mauvache for us." Then, to Melissa, the girl excitedly said, "I'm ready to go and learn more about trading cards!" With that, the two of them had left and went to the mall. Fen continued to be in awe of how much of a one stop shop this massive building was, and after a bit of meandering they had found their way to a game shop of sorts. While Fen hadn't been sure what to expect, outside of cards, she found that there was far more to this shop then just that. Large boxes and books that were all over the wall and near the counter. Grab bags and boxes of dice coming in more shapes then she thought possible with both more and less sides then she had ever seen on one. Incredibly detail, incredibly small stauettes that also adorned the counter. And of course, lots and lots of cards. A bit overwhelmed by all of it, Fen looked to Melissa asking, "so uh, where do we start?"
  15. Boss Music Part 2 The axe wielding armored guardian had pick its axe back up, not injured any further as the duo went to make a plan. As they were getting ready, the armored being began to charge at Sabrina who in turn seemed ready to enact Gene's plan. "Uh! I guess we're going now!" Sabrina said as she ran towards the armor. The two combatants closed in on each other and as the armor went for a heavy horizontal swing Sabrina ducked under the attack to strike at it with a slash of her own. The scythe found purchase, cutting into the armor once more and making water spray out again, all while avoiding being bisected in the process. As the armored guardian began to right itself Sabrina would realize that she was now crouched in swinging range of this axe wielding being, something that perhaps would've been a problem if not for Gene swooping from behind her and going for a cut of his own against the armored creature's leg, causing a streak of water to come as it had from every other wound. The attention of the axe armored was immediately taken as it turned its body to face the boy, axe already at the ready to be swung. Gene had opted to take a parrying stance against the creature, and would find that once more as his blade made contact with the axe he was clearly no match for it in a battle of pure strength. His blade was tossed aside again as the axe muscled through it from brute strength alone and moved towards Gene's unguarded torso. Once more, pain shot through the boy as an axe buried into his side, vibrations from the sound magic also coursing through him. Gene would find his consciousness begin to slip and fatigue begin to set in as he now had two wounds from his axe to show for his troubles. Though he was still able to move, much the same as he had before, it was becoming incredibly clear to him that he could not keep this up for much longer. The spear wielding armored guardian skidded a bit on its feet as it was recovering from the hit it took. However once it got its footing back, it had opted to stay where it was instead of go forward like it had last time. Seemingly now aware of the danger that approaching these two possessed it opted for a different strategy. It leaped back before planting its feet into the ground, reeling back its arm as the entirety of the spear seemed to crackle with electricity, intensifying by the second. Abby would soon find her request to Marshall fulfilled, as once the creature had finished its wind up, it launched the spear at high speeds towards the small girl.
  16. Lana had been running alongside everyone up until the point the large hulking creature had started to barrel its way towards them. Frightened of the creature and seeing the others being the one it was chasing after Lana decided to enact a plan that would give her a better a chance at dealing with someone she would've wanted to. So, she ran opposite the direction of everyone else, and with Chris asking for someone to deal with the cultists well, that was already Lana's plan here. Not being able to see their faces and seeing that they were vaguely humanoid shape, Lana felt a bit odd thinking she was just about to charge some random person in the middle of the dungeon. Even if everything they had met so far had been out to kill them. "Hey uh, you better stop that big thing...or else!" She unthreateningly threatened. Seeing that there was no change in demeanor and feeling on edge as it was, the girl readied her axe and charged the cultist. The cultist readied its dagger and raised an almost skeletal, with how bony and pale it was, arm from under its robes. Lana, heedless to danger, swung her axe down against the cultist who attempted to deflect it with its dagger. The axe powered through the dagger with little effort and she slashed into the creature's body, only to then feel its hand touch her and send a chill through her body. Wincing, which turned into a grimace, as she felt the cold sting and flow through her, the girl then noticed her axe had started to feel heavier. "Oh great, more tiring magic," the girl grumbled before pulling her axe back and going for another swing, stepping away from the side without the dagger as she did. Estelle, meanwhile, had been running along with the rest of the group. Seeing Ziun's efforts to bring the beast down, she cast a spell to empower the lad's rapier.
  17. Carmen only continued to groan in discomfort as Brian began to press her for an answer...or didn't? She wasn't entirely sure on that but she was certainly certain that he was quite angry with how she was acting. But, there was not much else the girl could do in this situation. She was scared out of her wits and she wanted to only partake in as much scary things as were particularly necessary. As the boy's bathroom was not her domain to investigate she figured that she would be better off just not doing anything at all. Of course, having someone angry with her while her face was buried into a table in a place she knew was haunted was actually incredibly unnerving. Every moment that he stopped moving or paused she briefly wondered if he had gotten eaten by a ghost or not, and the idea of lifting her head up to see him either dead, vanished, or a ghost in his place was similarly terrifying. Realizing that she had put herself into a no win situation, the girl slowly lifted her head up to see the paper seal with a cryptic string of numbers on it that she had to take a moment to parse was in fact a phone number. Looking up fully to see that Brian was still there and waiting for her answer on the matter, the girl had a clear discouraged frown on her face. Matter of factly the girl stated, "Shiki is scary and ghosts are scary." As if this was all the explanation that she needed to give as to why she was here in the first place. "But, well, uh, um...I don't really want to go back because uh," the girl pointed to the flashlight in Brian's hand. "And I don't want to talk on the phone since well, if you got attacked by a ghost I don't want to hear that second hand. That would be kind of spooky in its own right and I would have to hear you screaming from two places at once but on a delay, unless you just vanished which might be even worse over the phone but then I guess I'd just be sitting here waiting for you to never come out and get murdered by a ghost myself. I guess it's better than dying in a bathroom though but a school is still a bad place to go in...I guess you never can escape school, hehehehehe...." The girl chuckled to herself after giving a longwinded chat to herself, pulling out her phone and calling the number on the slip. Looking much calmer then she was before, though still having the expression of a nervous puppy, the girl pointed to the boy's bathroom. "Oh uh, but I still can't go in there."
  18. Sibyl was never much into organized religion. It wasn't as though she hated the idea of some kind of higher power or thought the entire thing was stupid as a whole. She just hated the idea of having to live by a set of restrictions from the get go that were who knew how old. And she figured that people who were into religion had always used it to find some kind of solace or meaning in existence, some kind of guide or comfort. To the girl with a code to adhere only to the self and to take everything in life as it came to her, she never really saw much purpose in following one. That wasn't to say she disliked everything about religion - she always found the art and iconography of it to be pretty neat. And the stained glass in this building was no exception to that. Eventually, though, she was directed to where she would be meeting with the head lady in the building. Once there, reciprocating friendly greeting with friendly greeting she said, “hey there Angel! Sweet place you got.” The girl at the two globes of light curiously before pulling out the papers she had been sent with. “I’d love to say I was here to chat about that rad glass stuff you got going on downstairs, but I’m mostly just here to drop off some papers for you to read.” Lailah accepted the papers with a smile. "It's always nice to take physical petitions. We've had an online portal for longer than I've been alive but it's much easier to read things when they're right in front of you and not behind a screen." She buffeted the papers and was about to start reading when she added, "And there's no reason we can't talk about Sacred Harp's stained glass afterwards, is there? I'm only visiting so I can't give construction details if that's what you're after but I can talk about the meanings contained therein, if that's useful to you." “Ooooh, true. The glass itself is pretty rad but I’m sure the stories could be some good inspiration. Maybe we could even get a burger or something once we’re done here.” She finally started to read in earnest but didn't get very far before looking back up at Sibyl, seemingly trying to reevaluate her. "The Fates sent you, didn't they? You're part of the Moray Clan?" Sibyl look as if there was no problem with this before saying, “yeah, sure am.” Lailah looked back at the papers and kept talking as she read. "Do you know why I owe them a favor in the first place? Did they tell you that at least? We- I was going through the Old North -- there's a church just on the other side near Clintonville -- and I ended up in the crossfire between Gibbons and the Zodiac. The Old North was up for grabs. Moray Clan wasn't quite the presence it is these days. Anyway, to make a long story short, the Fates saved my life. They took me in, gave me shelter, and staked their own claim on the territory. All they asked was a favor in return." She shook her head. "That was years ago. I almost made a game of trying to think up what they would ask me do. I wasn't sure they even remembered. I suppose I have my answer now." She turned the page and flipped through a few more. "I don't suppose there's a way to negotiate?" she said. "I- this is- I really would rather not." “Ooooh,” the girl said as she was recounted the story. Then when asked she shrugged, “can’t say I was given anything else to offer, and I’m really more the chatting and breaking type then the deal offering so, is what it is. ‘Sides, it’ll probably be fun.” It was then that her conversation was interrupted by two coming heroes. Her expression brightening still she said, "hey there Aeon! Long time no see. And uh," she looked at the other, before just as friendlily saying, "and hey there guy! But oh, heavy stuff you got going here." Looking at Lailah Sibyl said, "I wasn't here to paint but I wouldn't mind sprucing the place up once we're done here too."
  19. Boss Still Battling The axe wielding servant was in fact only one creature and thus it could only focus on one person at a time. Such was the advantage of Gene and Sabrina's tandem offensive, being two people, that forced it to keep its attention on the boy who had mostly injured it. Gene went for a slash again, though this time things were not nearly as clean as they were with his original attack. The creature swung its axe into the sword of the Exalted and as the two collided once more Gene would feel the burst of sound send a shock through. In addition, the blade was completely and utterly parried, being dislodged from his hands almost instantly upon contact, both from the sound pulse and brute strength of the creature, and left nothing to prevent him from having an axe blade bury into his side. Blood would come from his wound and Gene would still feel great pain from the attack, yet he was able to stand and fight just as well as he had before. This sacrifice as well was not without its reward, as Sabrina's scythe swing was able to come over and slash into the armor of the creature. Quite like what had happened when Gene struck it, an arc of water in the shape of blade came out from wound. Whatever pride she might've felt from landing her third attack, and thus not landing a proverbial three strikes, would be interrupted as armored figure clearly didn't seem to care about any injury it may have suffered. Instead, it immediately shifted backwards and elbowed Sabrina, before prying its axe out of Gene, pivoting one hundred eighty degrees and going for a swing against her. The tandem offensive of Abby and Marshall had also proven to be quite effective. Taken off balance and with the sudden charge of Marshall it couldn't defend itself in any way, and the Lance managed to pierce the creature. It did not go all the way through, and a large burst of water came from the area that was punctured much like a full armored water balloon being suddenly popped. However, it did not continue "bleeding" water and unlike a water balloon its form was still stable and whole. In addition, it didn't seem to feel the least bit amount of pain and the only recovery it needed to do was regain its balance, which took a nominal amount of time. Once it did, it went for a swift stab of its own, and with Marshall already in close range against a similarly lengthy weapon moving at high speeds, she was unable to avoid the spear piercing into her gut, send a surge of electricity flowing through her body. The spear wielding armored man then did a short hop back, the top half of its discorporating into water and freeing itself from Marshall's abdomen before swiftly reforming back into its whole spear form.
  20. After Lana asked her question, as if on command, Ziun had burst out of the now fading doorway. The girl was taken aback by surprise as he did, saying, "oh, there you are." Chris had asked the next question that was on her mind, but seeing as the door had completely faded out of existence now and Ziun was panicking more than anything else, even the usually slow witted Lana knew the answer already. She furrowed her brow, frowning a bit at the revelation and sort of frowning at her own lack of reaction to what had just transpired. Someone she had just been with died, so clearly she was upset by the whole thing. But, perhaps it was because she had her own panic to deal with at the time, perhaps it was because she couldn't see the girl actually die or perhaps it was because she just didn't know her all that well to begin with, Lana didn't really feel a true sense of mourning of her passing. She wasn't so jaded a person to think that, "death happens all the time, you get used to it" - it truly did suck that Robin couldn't make it out of these five floors with them and that her life ended the way it did. But, well, it just sucked and that was that. Maybe she was just in shock and would feel it more once they left the dungeon proper, but for now outside of a souring of her mood Lana didn't have much issue following the urging of the dungeon to keep going forward. She certainly had an issue with the floor it decided to drop them off at, though. This was hardly surprising at this point. Similarly not surprising was that this room had been covered yet again in fog, only this one was a familiar red hue and the presence of it made the girl's hairs stand on end. Her upset feelings were now being mixed with a sense of urgency and paranoia, feeling like she wanted none of whatever business was being cooked up on this floor; that the longer they stayed here the worse and more doomed everything for them would be. This was before she had time to process the four freaky figures in cloaks and their enormous friend, causing Lana to gulp in nervousness and take a step back for the time being. There was no going back up the stairs, but there was no reason she had to be front and center of this terrifying monster's attention. This worked, to an extent, as Chris seemed to be the one to take initiative in drawing their attention. Unfortunately, everyone was still with him when he did, and Lana couldn't help but be a bit spooked as the hooded folk started chanting yet again. As the hulking monstrosity started making their way towards them, Lana most certainly wanted to run away, but running backwards was not an option. So she just shouted out, "uh, right!" As Chris guided the gangs escape once more this dungeon run, and followed after him.
  21. As Fen was working towards the finishing touches of breakfast she could hear the conversation reaching an end between Trevor and the new girl. "Well then, miss Penelope, I shant keep you any longer...as I am certain one such as yourself has a busy schedule." "Why, of course, but this is part of the schedule. After all..." Melissa then joined asking, “Miss, Fen and I made some stir fry if you want breakfast. You know, since you came all this way…” "I have heard that this squad has an expert cook and I would like to test her mettle for myself. So I shall be staying for breakfast, rejoice!" After stating that, the girl followed by saying, "Did you know, commanders who dine with their soldiers have a 30% higher life expectancy? Though the soldiers have 30% lower, oddly. Well, anyway, let us eat." Fen, now with plates of food in hand, exited the kitchen. "Oh, well, I'm always happy to feed someone else," Fen added as she had entered the conversation. "I'm used to making food for large company so, I uh might've brought out too many ingredients for just the three of us. But I hope what we made is to your liking." Setting the table with the food, she looked to Penelope asking, "so, um, is everything alright with Trevor?" "Well I cannot say for certain! After all there could be plenty wrong. But if you mean what I came to confront him on, I believe so yes." "Oh, well, that's good to hear." Waiting for the others to sit down Fen then asked, "so I heard that you're also one of the uh, Guardians in Mauvache's employ?" "Employ? Hm, I suppose if that's how you want to call it, yes." "Does that mean you're also part of a Squad?" "Why, yes, I lead the elite squad, Unfailing Strategy!"

  23. As the group continued to look around the room, making small talk about the apparent carvings and gathering info on the enemies ahead, they would still have one obstacle in their way. A large wall of water, bizarrely opaque as there was certainly something on the other side of it yet all they could see was the shimmering, flowing blue of water. If the group gingerly touched it they would find that it was in fact also solid and pushed them back. If any of them asked about it, or even if they didn't and it was a rare moment of speaking without being asked, River would speak up and explain. "That wall of water is a barrier, something known as a Threshold. These are barriers created by Lady Ocean used to divide what is beyond from the rest of the world. What is past the Threshold cannot perceive what is on the other side, and they themselves cannot cross the Threshold either. In most cases it acts as Prison Door of sorts, yet my Lady's servants are not prisoners." The girl tilted her head, curious about it before smiling. "It also acts as a means of informing you of when a particularly challenging foe is ahead! Crossing the Threshold, however, is impossible to do by accident. However, if you merely will yourself to go past the wall, you will be able to pass through it without issue. So, once you do, I wish you the best of luck!" Once the group passed through the Threshold, which felt like passing through a solid wall of water yet left them remarkably dry, they would find themselves in a large open box of a room. The walls on every end seemed to have flowing from the ceiling, obscuring whatever was on the walls, though the floor seemed to be dry. On the end opposite of them, though, they were able to see a large stone sculpture jutting out of the wall. The neck and head of what seemed to be a strange hybrid between a wolf and a dragon holding a stone in its open jaws. The stone glowed with a yellow and gray light and, after a few moments of the Exalted being in the room, the light flowed from the stone, splitting cleanly into one yellow and one gray light, flowing to opposite sides and into the water behind the statue. The water rippled and then with a sudden splash from out of the water flowed two figures. Boss Theme Though they were first just shapeless water, as soon as they touched the floor the water expanded and took on a more rigid shape, gaining coloration and solidifying into an actual form. Two hulking armored figures, a little taller than Gene and certainly far bulkier. Both of them stretched out a hand to opposite sides, water flowing from their arm and taking shape in their hands. The one to the left formed a greataxe, the blade giving a slight hum as a close inspection could see it vibrate slightly. To the right a spear, sparks of electricity flowing across the head. The two readied their weapons and began to slowly advance towards the Exalted. OOC
  24. Carmen had followed after Brian, trying to figure out what the teacher's subject was before she had told them directly. As they entered the school properly, the girl let out another squeal and backed up a bit as the school itself seemed to come to life. Carmen had hardly wanted to be here in the first place and that the school seemed to be welcoming them with the familiar sound of a bell ringing made her not want to stay here any longer. The girl had often thought that average every day life was something of a "seven out of ten spooks," maybe five on a good day, so she was certainly more willing to put this experience already at an eleven. As she was recovering, Brian then spoke up about their task that they had to get done. “You go seal all the toilets in the women’s restroom and I'll take the men’s, okay?” Not really paying attention to his words at first, the girl absently nodded along at first, only to then suddenly realize what that implied. “Eh? Y-You mean… by myself?” “I mean, I’m not going into a women’s restroom.” Brian picked up a handful of seals and held them right in front of Carmen’s chest. “Whatever else you might think of me, I'm not a pervert.” "Oh, that's good." Her expression brightened and she seemed to be genuinely more assured as a result of this. It wasn't as though that she had thought of Brian as a pervert before now, really all he had been was the guy who drove and bought tacos for her. But, being in the situation she was in, taking his statement entirely at face value she was relieved that that was one thing she wouldn't have to worry about throughout the night. However, she then realized something else. If she was to try to insist on going in pairs that would mean that she would also have to go into the men's restroom. And if going into the woman's restroom made a man a pervert it held true that the other way around would be as well. Carmen didn't want to live with the thought of arguing with a man until he dismissed her as just having perverted delusions and making the entire rest of the night that much more awkward and difficult. Which would mean that she would have to be left by her lonesome when he went to the men's bathroom, and similarly have to be left alone when she went into the women's. Defeated and downcast the girl muttered, “I’m not a pervert either…” before grabbing the seals and going into the bathroom. The bathroom itself seemed to be fairly normal, outside of the lights all still being on in the middle of the night. In fact add to that weirdness, there were five stalls in the bathroom and yet all of them had their doors closed. As a veteran of sequestering herself in the bathroom, Carmen knew that the doors to such stalls were typically only closed if there was someone in them. And so, while the girl began to walk over, she paused as she realized that the stalls could in fact be occupied. It would be utterly bizarre if they were at this time of night, but what would be more bizarre would be this random adult woman barging in on some high schooler while they were using the toilet at the same time of night. Carmen would die on the spot if she had to live through such an embarrassment and so paused before continuing forward. Of course, she could just call out to check if anyone was around, but she knew that the less she spoke, the less people spoke back to her and that could only be seen as a net gain. So instead, she lowered her gaze, crouching a little to look under the stalls. Of course Carmen was no pervert, and in no rush to be labeled as such, so this was a technique that she had perfected over years of hiding from responsibility by using the bathroom as an excuse. Looking under just enough, and moving her body just casually so to not be seen as if she were actually trying to look under the stalls. To her relief, there seemed to be no feet that could be seen which meant that her risk of having to live through being called a voyeur of some kind was - CRACK The girl reflexively lurched forward as she heard something that she personally would describe as a gunshot, echoing through the desolate bathroom. Keeping herself from falling from her stumble, the girl turned around only to see that the source of this noise was nothing more than a wayward mop that had fallen to the ground. Carmen breathed a sigh of relief, though couldn't help but wonder about it. Mops weren't typically stored in the bathrooms they were used to clean. Warily looking at the cleaning implement, the girl took a deep breath again, resolving to get this over with. Though she had already checked, the girl couldn't help but gulp nervously at the prospect that there was in fact someone in there. And so, slowly, she opened the door to find...nothing. The girl exhaled in relief once more, her heart working overtime with each new obstacle that presented itself. Walking over to the toilet, Carmen came to the realization that she wasn't exactly sure about what she was doing here. She had barely done this before and typically she was so scared out of her wits that she hardly wanted to remember what happened during. But, she had seals, and this was a toilet ghost of some kind so it made sense to her to just slap the seal on the toilet. Of course she didn't know which toilet in particular this ghost was inhabiting so it was best to be thorough and hit all of them. She moved to the second stall without incident, placing a seal on that. Then, as she opened the door to the third one, the girl immediately slammed it shut as something that wasn't a toilet came into her vision. She had no idea what it was, but anything that wasn't a toilet in an empty stall had to be bad news. The girl was ready to just walk out and get Brian to check it out for her, but, she knew she still had a job to do here and also didn't want to have to try and actually convince him of anything. And so, she pushed opened the door only to find...a toilet plunger sticking out of the toilet. The girl cocked her head to the side, curious and confused at the sight. Storing a mop in the bathroom was certainly weird, but storing a plunger in the toilet certainly wasn't ordinary anywhere. The girl didn't really want to interact with it, but she figured that if the ghost was inhabiting a toilet it made sense that the toilet had to be closed first before it was sealed. So, awkwardly, she grabbed the plunger and placed it on the ground before putting on the third seal, and without incident the girl made it to the fourth stall, placing the seal on that one as well. Flicker. Flicker. The girl stiffened her posture, standing still for a moment and letting out a small squeal as the lights began to flicker. Darting her eyes around, seeing if there was any sort of being in there with her she saw nothing out of the ordinary, though what she could see was getting more limited as the lights began to flicker more and more. Knowing that something much worse was coming then just intermintent blindness from darkness, the girl scurried to the fifth stall door only to find it jammed. With it not opening immediately, Carmen couldn't help but wonder if there was someone in there who had locked the door, as impossible as it sounded, and so first politely asked, "uhh- sorry- uh, is someone in there?" Her question was answered with only a chill. Feeling a strange cold sensation creep up on her, the girl had decided to instinctually seek refuge in the stall by shoving the door open. The door itself wasn't actually locked and so the force she used was far more then necessary, causing her to stumble in the dark as the lights had completely gone out. Shuffling around a little, the girl's mind was at a blank for what to do until she remembered she came prepared for such a situation. Pulling out her flashlight, the girl turned it on and looked towards the toilet, freezing in place. A humanoid figure, practically towering over Carmen was standing where the toilet was. A long, gnarled mess of sopping wet hair cloaked her body, stretching all the way to the floor. Carmen stared at the entity, the figure in turn reaching out to her with a grey, thinning hand. "Sorry." Carmen bolted for the door, the hands narrowly missing her as she let out an, "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Bursting out the door and running through the cafeteria, panic clear on her face the girl shouted, "Briiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn!"
