  1. Kickoff. The important school event that started every school year. Kicked it off, as it were. Kyouko generally made a point to avoid the event. Too many people. She'd been convinced to show up last year when somebody had worked up the courage to ask her to the dance, and while that hadn't ended catastrophically, it was certainly a far from ideal conclusion. Kyouko wasn't much of an artist, but all the same, she'd spent much of the time since the club meeting doing up various doodles then promptly throwing all of them into the trash as crumpled-up little balls of bad ideas. Today, from the comfort of her dorm's bed. It was nice to have a quiet day in sometimes. "Who's dueling at the kickoff this year, anyway?" If, out of the two girls in the room today, anyone knew the answer to that question, it was Jun. Kyouko didn't care much about that sort of thing, and even if she did, she likely wouldn't remember who it was anyway. "Not you or you would've said something. Not the captain or you probably would have said something. Didn't hear any mention of it at the club either, so it's none of them." Another crumpled ball of paper was tossed through the air, landing in the trash where it belonged. "For that matter, why's the event such a big deal? I never got it." Maybe something with horns. No, fins. No, fins were stupid and clashed with her deck's aesthetic. Was that sort of thing important? She didn't get this costume stuff, but it certainly beat standing in front of a whole crowd of people where they all knew exactly who she was.
  2. Day 8, ?:00, Mall Points: 61 W/L Record: 3/3 "My world's pretty average. We've got a lot of uh...technology. Stuff run by electricity and lots of metal working....and big cities with big buildings and stuff. Planet's called Earth, if you've heard of it. I'm from a country there called America. It's pretty alright but we frequently get attacked by creatures from hell or something. Honestly I don't know much of the details myself and, I don't think anyone really ever has." "Earth? That's where I'm from, too. Though I don't think I'd say creatures from hell are common. Mostly it's crazy people with too much money or power for their own good. Of course, I'm basically a queen there. No one dares to stand up to me. Were we there I could've turned that security guard into a toad and no one would've thought twice about it. Are you sure you're from Earth? I can't imagine anyone not knowing about me there." "I'm from Earth too, but I've certainly never heard of any hell monsters before, and I certainly haven't heard of any witches." Not to mention Morgan's magic simply wasn't something somebody from Aurora's Earth would have access to. Unless somebody had some sort of Fragment that let them absorb other Fragments? But that would be stupid. Propping her elbow up on the table, Aurora raised her hand, palm facing up, and continued "The history behind it is a bit complicated, but basically, everyone is born with a Fragment in my world." A ball of ice, rough but overall still pretty round, began to form in her hand as she further explained "There are limits to what they're capable of, but not all of them are created equal. Most of the time it's just part of life, but some people like to use their gifts purely for their own gain. In my world, there are also heroes dedicated to stopping them. It's like something right out of an old comic book, right?" Still, the fact that all three of these girls were from Earth, yet all three of them were so different, was a real head-scratcher. Aurora thought back to something she'd been told when she first arrived here. "Time and space is not so...linear as one might think." Not linear, different worlds... parallel universes? That still seemed a bit off the mark. "It's weird that we're all from the same planet, but it's so different for each of us," she couldn't help but comment. Was there an Aurora Burns in those other worlds, perhaps? What was her life like?
  3. Everything in these dorms was just so. The height, width, and depth were all equal. The white was uninterrupted. It was all in all what Sammi would call an ideal room. No flaws or imperfections, with only one exception... It wasn't exclusively her room. Indeed, as she could imagine was the case with just about any other student, Sammi was going to have a roommate. She'd checked the dorm listings earlier, and her roommate was to be some girl named Erica. She hadn't met anyone with that name aboard the Finback, but there were plenty of people on that ship she hadn't met, not to mention it wasn't like every student of this school got here on that thing. Luckily, Sammi was a light traveler, so unpacking her things wasn't that hard. She'd already claimed her side of the room, when she heard a knocking. That better not be BOMB wanting to finish up his scan from earlier. Sammi made for the door, opening it and giving the girl who stood before her a glance over. Red hair, brown eyes, the only thing even semi-remarkable about her was the goggles nestled atop her head. Perhaps a mechanic? As much as Sammi liked the idea of the convenience behind that, there were much bigger reasons that wouldn't work out in the long run. "If you're here to hand out some sort of pamphlet, I'm not interested," Sammi curtly answered. "Right. I um, I'll do my best as well. Yeah. I'm just gonna, right there. Good. So uh... I'm uh...I think I got enough of the room for now, you guys wanna go walk around the campus...Or something?" Exploring the campus sounded fun. Just based on the wonder that was the auditorium and the not-so-wonder of her dorm room, Vivian was sure there was all sorts of sights to see around here! Setting down Stella's things that she'd been carrying up until now alongside the things she herself had also set down, along the wall, Vivian nodded in agreement. It seemed Kellz was up to something else - checking out her own drab room - but was interested in the types of food to be found on campus. That was something she hadn't even thought about! And then, the unexpected happened. "Hey, Vivian, here's my number. Just in case something happens you know? Keep an eye on her okay?" "Roger!" Vivian wasted no time adding the number to her contacts list. She'd have to get Stella's number too, even more importantly than the one for Kellz since the two were going to be roommates and all. Leading the way out of the room after the girl with the prosthetic arm had left, Vivian pondered aloud "Do you think they have all kinds of food here? It's an impressive school so that wouldn't be a stretch, right? LIke hamburgers! And bacon! Or um, hmmm... mutton?" People still ate that, right? "Are hamburgers any good?" she asked. That seemed like a much more appropriate question than the last one she'd asked Stella.
  4. Somehow or another, it had come to this. Melanie never liked creepy crawlies all that much - more than one blackened spot on her shop's walls back home was the result of a surprise visit from a spider or some such - but somehow she'd found herself in a situation where she was going to help kill some really big ones with these other adventurers. Looking at them, most of these people were skilled fighters with at least some experience. Melanie had formal training in the use of magic, but had never been taught about using it for combat purposes. The best experience she had was working at a forge, and even then, this zone seemed a bit past the level of technology she was used to working with. All in all, it hadn't been all that long since Melanie left home in search of the amazing ore called exodium, and already, shit was hitting the fan. This car - that's what it was called, right? - being cramped was just the icing on the cake. "Alternate routes, Chip?" "None that won't take us through a bug zone. I've got the chaingun revved up, but I think it'd be best if you make sure the block's clear before we keep going. Last thing we need is for a Doom Dozer to unburrow under us while we're transporting the cargo." Egh. Just the thought of running into something like that's hard to stomach. "If you're feelin' lazy, you can stay and guard the overdrive. That chaingun can't reach the rear or the sides, after all." "I'll stick around," Melanie said, volunteering without skipping a beat. It was probably safer here than out over there where these oversized bugs were terrorizing the people. It also gave her a chance to stretch her arms and legs after most of the other adventurers had cleared out of the vehicle. These cramped spaces would take some getting used to. Hoisting up her trusty tool - an item that clearly had quite a bit of weight to it, given the effort needed to pick it up - Melanie stepped outside the vehicle, stretching her limbs out again. Again she found herself asking, how did it come to this? Best to keep an eye open while she was here, at least. Melanie lifted the tool up over her head, resting it on the roof of the overdrive, before climbing up herself and taking a seat on the vehicle's roof. She'd be able to see all the different angles from here, without the car blocking her view.

zooka bazooka 6/10 not blown away but I know a neat song when I hear one 8/10 I've had enough of pokemon. Bring me something else besides pokemon spinoffs. It feels like it loses something important when going 8-bit. still gets a 7/10 tho OP's suggestion. Akatsuki Records put out a new track! 9/10. You should also check out the video itself, at least during the chorus. The visuals are super-neat there, and even outside of the chorus it's just really nice.
  6. Location: Skrelp Harbor Poké: 0 The clerk and Oswald alike seemed opposed to Kanon delving deeper to see what was at the bottom of the statue. She went anyway, but upon seeing that there was nothing of note down there, Kanon agreed with the notion, wasting no time in hurrying back up. The less time she spent near that statue, the better. Once the girl had resurfaced, she removed all the extra diving crap from her face. Having all her face space taken up by equipment was... there wasn't really a word for how she felt about it, but it certainly wasn't pleasant. Fresh air being back in her lungs - not to mention the ability to speak again - was greatly welcomed. Due to her haste, she surfaced not far behind Oswald and the clerk. "What was that all about? What is that thing down there?" "Whatever it is, it's probably what's drawing all the Skrelp here." At least it wasn't a food thing. There had to be some kind of solution to them all being there, right? Like maybe, covering the statue up and setting up a bunch of whatever Skrelp ate in the safer area that the crane was dumping them. No point asking Nomi about it. She had no idea what was down there anyway. Swimming back toward solid land, Kanon continued "The real question is what we should do now that we know it's there, right?"
  7. Day 8, ?:00, Mall Points: 61 W/L Record: 3/3 "You don't speak for me. I don't know who you are but I don't appreciate being told what to do by some uppity girl with an undeserved sense of worth." Here we go, Aurora mentally sighed. "I'm not trying to start anything. I just want to be sure there's nothing to worry about." "Fine, I won't disturb your precious peace. Well come on then. What are you waiting for? Let's get going." "Yeah, let's go get some food!" Aurora responded, putting her hands on the backs of the other girls and pushing them along the way to the food court, eager to get away from a potential confrontation. She'd already had more run-ins with trouble than she would have liked from her own actions, and wasn't about to take the dive from proximity to somebody else. Sorry about her, she mouthed to the security guard once the others weren't looking on the way out. Somebody would have to give Morgan the talk. Not the birds and bees one - though based on her comments earlier at the movie theater, she was overdue for that one too - but the one that this wasn't her world anymore. Tragically, Aurora couldn't imagine it flying over well if she was the one to do it. Maybe asking Mauvache for help would work? She'd have to think about that one. There was still a lot Aurora had to work out. Once they'd found the food court, though, working out her food wasn't that tough. Two pretzels and a cup of coffee. There was something special about soft, cooked pretzels that you just couldn't find in those tiny bagged ones. Once the others had also gotten food, and the trio found a spot to sit and eat, Aurora was the first to opt for conversation. "What are your worlds like?" she asked.
  8. Location: Trailsau (Team Alola, day 27) Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote, Kasib Berry "This time you'll all fall." Well on the plus side, the whole gang was here. On the minus side, everyone was not only slowed down, but being pelted with rocks. Fun. What was a girl to do in this kind of scenario? Simple. Slip out of dodge and get to the one point where they were least likely to pelt people. Right in Allie's face. Keanu was already heading in in his own way, and as much as Nani would have loved to copy him, there were other attacks flying around already. It was possible she'd mess something up. So, she too would have to do this her own way. Following up on Keanu's surf attack, Nani - after catching a rock to the leg - leaned back and fell into the shadows. She sneaked along, darting across the battlefield, only to pop up behind Allie, with her better leg swinging at her head. "Why is it always kill, kill, kill with you people!" "Why is that the case?" Nani echoed. "Is your whole region made up of savages or something? Starting to wonder if I should've just stayed in Alola and tried my chances with the mysterious monsters of unknown origins." Not to say fighting was rare in Alola, but there it was more for sport and entertainment most of the time.

Neil certainly is a guy that did things, and still does. Sometimes I wonder if he knows how big his impact on the internet back in the 2000s really was. 7/10 This video is almost offensively late-90s/early-00s. 9/10 If there was a sci-fi Zelda game I'd expect Goron City's tune to sound something like this. 6/10 8/10 I'm a Dream Theater fan. 17 minutese is perfectly doable. And these are 17 minutes that I'll rate 8/10. Strong Carpenter Brut vibes. 5/10 OP's suggestion. I think I've heard this song before. I don't like how the song stops a couple times throughout the music video from a musical standpoint, but I'll admit the breaks are pretty funny. Won't be factoring the breaks in though since they obviously won't be there whenever the song gets released. 8/10
  11. "Impromptu teamwork ain't my thing, 'kay? But don't think I'm just gonna drop out just 'cause we made some bad moves out there. Anything's better than bein' kicked out by ma. Don't have to many couches I can hop between." Kicked out? Hopping between couches? Itsuki's home situation sounded complicated. And not very nice. Was it okay to talk to him about it? ...maybe not in a public place like an ice cream shop. Even if she wanted to ask him about it, a more pressing question came from both Yuuka and Ms. Hitotsume. "Oh right, Himura-san. Do you think you can actually turn people into vampires?" "Oh! That's a really good question! Spill the beans, Hibiki!" "Eh?" Were they for real? The look on their faces suggested so. Did they really think she could do that? Nobody had ever asked her about vampires before, come to think of it. Just the notion was... "Pfff... PFAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Of course not!" Barely able to contain her laughter, Hibiki continued "Everybody knows vampires aren't real!" Hibiki had heard some pretty crazy questions before about her Quirk, but this was a new winner for her. Just because she had trouble seeing so well with the sun out and had some bat qualities didn't make her a vampire, let alone capable of turning other people into vampires. "...right?"
  12. "Guess that's a way to do things, I suppose. Still, regardless of how Merlin is, the Sun Lizards might actually be beneficial to me in the long run. Cause my need to know how mechs work, what works with them, and how to build my own unique mech is everything I need right now." Uh-huh. You might be useful down the line. If you don't get old and die by then. "Hey, would love to continue talking, but I gotta at least get this cleaned as well as get something else to drink. So, maybe I'll see you around." And then he left. Just as well. Boring conversation anyway. It would probably be best to figure out where she was staying during her time here, in the meantime. And so, she made her way away from the party to do precisely that. As much as she wanted to hope she'd be able to spend her time here without a roommate, Sammi knew on some level that life wasn't that simple. "Well uh, what are the odds, right?" Was this what her parents called "an awkward situation"? It didn't feel all that awkward to Vivian. The odds were indeed, very, very low. Out of all the students in this school - and Vivian knew there were plenty of them - these two just so happened to get put in the same dorm. At least that meant she didn't have to introduce herself to her new roomie, because she'd already done that earlier! Vivian followed along the way, eager to see her new room! And when she got there... "Kinda creepy isn't it?" Aside from the room being hers (and Stella's of course), even Vivian wasn't sure how to compliment this place. The beds were cool, but it only served to make the dorm feel more robotic to her. "Yeah... it, uh... it definitely could do with some color. Even if it's just a little plant hanging from the ceiling or a butterfly in a jar." Were students allowed to paint the walls? Probably not. Some decoration would be a must, though! Oh, but Vivian hadn't brought any of her useless little doodads from home! Maybe a shopping trip was in order to buy some odds and ends to spruce up the place a bit. She had to admit, this room was a little creepy. Hopefully a little love could fix that. "So, welcome home I guess!" Vivian said, her positive tone back. "I'll do my best to be a good roommate while we're here."
  13. Location: Skrelp Harbor Poké: 0 The Skrelp were being cleared up, one by one. Only one was left, but Kanon couldn't quite make out its location in the smokescreen it had put up. She saw Ursula swim out of it, followed closely by the final Skrelp. A decisive peck in a spot that looked like it probably hurt seemed to convince the last one to turn and take off at last. With them cleared out, Kanon took out her Poke Ball, returning Ursula to her spherical confines. She checked her surroundings again. That statue that hopefully nobody had the reckless nature to touch again, and plenty of seawater. At least the statue was something of a lead. Maybe there was something at the bottom? And so, pointing down near the base of the statue once someone looked in her direction, Kanon started swimming further downward. At the very least, it wasn't a food thing for why all these Skrelp were gathering here.
  14. She’d never seen a market so lively before! A few here and there along her travels, but something about the atmosphere here felt distinctly more “more-y” to Pyrrha. Her shopping had been pretty light overall, just some extra arrows to stock up with, a single apple to snack on as she explored, and she was on the search for a nice new bow as well. Out the corner of her eye though, something else caught her attention. Or, as she soon learned, someone else. It was Reinaan! And he was… incredibly shiny! Pyrrha could practically see her reflection on his scales! “Heeey!” Making her way over to her fellow Chosen, Pyrrha couldn’t help but give him a look over again. She’d already done this when they first met at the tower, but just the newfound shine of his scales was such a huge difference. “Your scales are super-shiny,” she commented, even if it was pretty obvious. With enthusiasm and clear interest, the Chosen of Wind asked, “What happened?” "Huh?" Reinaan started, not immediately recognizing the voice that had addressed him. Pyrrha's figure came into view soon after he shifted to face her. A brief irritation flashed across his face but all she wanted to know about was his scales. They were having the intended effect and even if it was the new Wind Chosen talking it still felt good. "There was some guy selling polish for it and figured I'd give it a try." he said, his chest puffing a bit. “It looks great!” It was tempting to touch them. If they were super-shiny, perhaps they were also super-smooth? But that would be a bit much for somebody she’d only just met earlier today. “It kind of makes me wish I had scales too. You definitely got your money’s worth.” I wonder if skin can be polished like that? ...probably not. “If I didn’t know better, I’d swear you’d be able to glow in the dark like that.” "If I had more white scales maybe…" the Draken trailed off in response. Her energy had him uncertain how to proceed. In part it reminded him of Gilly who was no longer with them which added a somber note to things. But more than that it made it difficult to keep his suspicions about her in the forefront of his mind. "...So, you're not gonna like ask about me or anything? Would have thought the Council would pay pretty nicely for a direct info source like you" he said, trying to be serious in hopes the girl would reveal her true colors if he pressed her enough. “Mmm? Why would I do that?” Glancing around to the other people going to and fro in the market, Pyrrha continued “I mean, I’m curious about all of you, but it’s the same as any of the regular old adventurer groups I used to travel with. What’s Keres’s favorite food? What does Lindow do on his downtime? Are you good at sports? I’m more curious about those kinds of questions than anything to do with Chosen business. Though I have to admit, I’m a bit more curious about you in particular, but that’s because I’ve never met a draken before today.” Pyrrha paused for a bit, to think about that last comment. “Okay, I’ve seen some, but those templars are all so stiff and antisocial. I’ve never really spoken with a draken before, I should say.” "I guess… I haven't ever really seen an elf before either." Reinaan said after some thought. As much as he wanted to keep up this insidious narrative about the council going, Pyrrha seemed to be playing no real part in it. He let out a sigh through his nostrils for a moment before speaking again. "I never did introduce myself. Reinaan Malyol, a fire Draken from Blagos." came the late introduction. He could only think of how he was going to regret trying to show any trust to this obvious council spy. But it seemed unfair to presume she couldn't be trusted just because of the circumstances. “Pyrrha Varan, a regular old elf from Bresa. N, Not literally old mind you. Pleased to meet you.” Pyrrha held out her hand. All in all, Reinaan seemed like a pretty okay guy. And shiny. She really couldn’t get her attention off just how well that polish guy did. Maybe now she’d get to find out if shiny meant smooth. The Fire Chosen still wasn't incredibly used to the idea of handshakes but saw the elf's extended hand and so awkwardly raised his own to grasp it. It still surprised him how soft skin was and he couldn't think how these creatures got by without scales. Even armor couldn't cover their whole body. "What's old for an elf anyway?" Reinaan questioned out of honest curiosity. “Uhhh… you might have to ask a different elf.” Rubbing the back of her head, Pyrrha answered with only a small twinge of regret, “I grew up mostly around humans; the only other elves I knew were my family, so I don’t actually know that much about elf stuff.” Adventure stuff? Sure. City guard stuff? Absolutely! But elf stuff? Not really Pyrrha’s field of expertise, ironically enough. “What about you? Was it mostly draken when you were growing up, or were there lots of humans too?” "Oh yeah, I lived in a village of just Draken. The Elders don't much trust humans though we do occasionally do some business with them. I'd never been to a human town before all this Chosen stuff." For having been so suspicious before he wasn't struggling to share information now. "I've seen so many people in the last few weeks it makes the last forty eight years seem kinda empty when I think about it." Reinaan pondered aloud. Forty-eight. He’s older than me. By quite a bit at that! “I see. The way I heard it as a little girl, elves have the same problem. Pretty sure that’s why mom & pop left home to go to Bresa. They were tired of the stuck-up attitudes or something.” As Pyrrha looked around at the nearby shops, she found it. The item she’d longed for! A better bow. “Did you buy anything else around town, or was it just the nice polish job?” she asked, heading for the spot where the precious weapon was being sold. "Yeah I got a weapon and this amulet thing from some guy selling magic stuff" he said pointing to the necklace which made up the only article of anything on his body. The girl seemed captivated by something and he started walking with her, dragging Kloqah along slowly behind them. "Sounds like you haven't made the rounds yet." “I picked up a snack while I was looking around, and also stocked up on some more arrows. But what I was really looking for was something like this.” Pyrrha picked up the bow. Not too heavy. String seemed sturdy. Flexible enough. And certainly higher quality than the old wooden bow she’d been carrying around for the last three years. It was perfect! Pyrrha talked prices with the owner for a bit, before paying the appropriate sum and holding the new bow at various angles, adjusting to the weight. It was certainly a bit heavier than her old one, but she could adjust. “I’ve been trying not to spend too much, see. I’d feel bad digging into the funds of people I only just met today and all.” "I'm sure you'll have a chance to earn some of it yourself before too long." Reinaan said wondering when the next misfortune might befall the group. This town didn't seem to be in immediate danger like the desert village but given the bees on their way here he could only imagine what might be coming for them the moment they left. “Here’s hoping. We should probably start looking for the others, come to think of it. I’ve got a sharp eye, so with my skill at finding people and your shiny scales being so nice-looking and good at getting attention, finding them will be easy! Let’s go.”
  15. Since he's to my memory the only endgame boss I was unable to defeat, I'm going to go with Emperor Doviculus from Brütal Legend for both of those questions.
  16. "It's um... apology accepted. Just, try not to ask about it in the future. Alright?" "Roger!" She'd be more mindful about asking those sorts of questions from now on! Luckily, everything was resolved without a physical confrontation. She'd hate to have that sort of thing on her record, let alone on her first day here! With the conflict resolved, Kellz and Stella turned their attention toward a different issue. "Hey uh Kellz, you think we should go and figure out where we're staying now?" "I dunno that sounds like something we're supposed to get told by the school or something doesn't it?" "You would be correct." That was the vice principal! Did she see the little not-quite-scuffle Kellz and Vivian had? She wasn't in trouble, was she? "I appreciate your resolving of the situation. Many students could learn from you. I came here to stop a fight but it seems I am not needed. As for where you're staying...once this wraps up you can find directions to the dorms, and your room number, at the exit. It's not far from here. Be sure not to get into any more fights along the way." "Oh, it was nothing, ma'am. If anything it's my responsibility to resolve the conflict without a fight since I kind of started it and all..." Maybe she said too much. "Be mindful of what you say to others" was the moral of the story from mere seconds ago, so it was probably best to clear up any ambiguities on that comment at the end. "Not on purpose of course!" If she kept talking it could have been troublesome. She'd have to just get going. Turning her attention back to the other girls, Vivian said "In any case, we should at least figure out where Stella's room is so we don't have to carry this stuff all day, right?"
  17. "I kinda get being pragmatic and stuff, but a mana bomb at the entrance of a park? That's kinda low." A clever trap. "Please, the odds of anyone besides Masters and Servants having enough mana to trip this bomb is virtually nil. But if you want to have a fight over it...," And the red-haired Master who was setting it up, along with her Servant. Misaki looked over the duo. Aside from the fact that one of them was a Servant, nothing seemed all that special about either of them, but that was just the way it was with mages, wasn't it? Misaki herself wasn't exactly a conspicuous person either. Was the Master of the two even worth killing? Obviously it would be a step forward to winning the Holy Grail War, but would the effort needed to defeat her while also having to keep an eye on her Servant be worth the effort? At least for her first night, Misaki concluded that no, it would not be. After all, her checklist said she had to find an ally before killing off the other Masters. But her? She didn't look like much, even for a mage. "You would die," Misaki softly warned from her spot in the tree. "And there isn't enough space on my person for another set of bones and organs." Although, come to think of it, a magus's brain would be an invaluable piece to have. And perhaps she could harvest something from the Servant too? Would that work? Misaki's gaze drifted away from the Master to her Servant, the girl's curiosity hitting a peak. For the time being, she rejected the offer of yet another Twinkie.
  18. "So... u-umm..., Hey, Kyouko... you... got any i-ideas for your persona...?" In a sea of irrelevant comments and banter, that question stood out as important. Uh-oh. She hadn't really thought about that yet. Some part of her didn't really expect it to come up as early as the first meeting, "Er... not really." Kyouko took a seat near the rest of the club, scooting the chair she'd grabbed as needed as she listened in on the wizard's explanation of all the things he could do with May's(?) costume. There sure were a lot of tricks you could do with costumes, huh? He sounded real enthusiastic about that kind of stuff. Kyouko would be lying if she said she was super into playing dress-up herself, but she did have to admit, it was good to know what you were passionate about. What would a good persona be, anyway? She had to admit she wasn't exactly the creative type, but even then, nothing really clicked. Her first thought when she looked at her deck again was some sort of knight, but the idea of her dressed in plate armor acting all noble was laughable at best. She didn't want anyone to see her face either, so it had to be something with a helmet or something like that. Kyouko caught herself reaching for her phone, only to pull away from it. Normally if there was a problem she couldn't think her way out of, she'd see if Jun had any valuable input. But she wanted to figure this one out herself. After all, would it really be her persona if someone else came up with it? While the wizard continued sketching and talking, Kyouko laid her Phoenix Gearfried on the table, spinning it around as one would a pencil in the middle of a boring class. Maybe looking at her ace card long enough would give her some ideas. "Um... s-same goes for you two to...," "Something that covers my face would be nice." She still wasn't sure about going on a stage and dueling in front of a bunch of people in the first place. The idea that everyone would know it was her while she was doing it gave her stage fright just thinking about it. Picking the card up for the others to see, she continued "I thought about a knight for a bit since it would match my ace card, but I can't imagine going up onto a stage and acting all noble. Maybe we could figure something out from there?"
  19. "Machine dragon of metal, stand down! We can make talk of this as opposed to the obliteration thy offer. And if not, I will not hesitate to show thee my mettle!" And Dreifus was there too. It certainly didn't look anything like him, but only he would speak in that manner. There was no doubt in her mind that it was him. He was then ordered by Mr. Henderson to protect Kokoro and Touch, in response to which Kokoro looked up at the ceiling. Large debris coming down, it didn't look like she'd have time to get out of the way. Luckily, she didn't have to, because Theo was able to not only deflect the debris, but pelt it at the mechanical dragon standing before them. "Dearest Kokoro, listen well to me. Conner has acquired thy Spirit of Fire yes? Then tell him "Execute! Spirit Evolution!" Please tell him this, as god willing I will needeth all the help I can get. Please fly fast little do- Err, little violent murder crow. Fly fly and give him the message he must know! I will shield thy escape!" "If it's that urgent you should cut the theatrical crap and get right to the point," Kokoro sighed. But she really didn't want to just leave Mr. Henderson alone with this thing. But he wasn't alone. But what if something happened to one or both of these guys? But Henderson had also said that the best way to help him was to just get out of dodge. But... there was no helping it. Suddenly, something clicked. Spirit Evolution... spirit of fire... She should have taken that flaming armor for herself after all. The more things she realized about this situation, the less pleased she was with it. She'd have to put up with it though, wouldn't she? Starting toward the auditorium where the others had gone, Kokoro called back "If either of you die, I won't forgive you!" Through and around, and caught up with the other students. Connor was doing... something. That was who she was looking for. "Hey." Climbing up onto the platform Connor had been on, Kokoro continued "Dreifus told me to find you. Something about, Execute! Spirit Evolution! I don't get it, but I can take over whatever you're doing here."
  20. Location: Trailsau (Team Alola, day 27) Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote, Kasib Berry "I don't think you understand the situation. This can only go down one way. With you in the ground!" Uh-oh. No amount of acrobatics was going to get Nani out of that attack. The best she could manage was to stand her ground, hold her breath, and brace herself for impact. The hit was like being trampled by an angry Mudsdale running straight into her. It knocked the breath out of her, knocked Nani onto the ground, and seriously this hurt. Nani took a moment on the ground to catch her breath, before getting back up. That was a "no" on calling it a draw then. All that was left was to win then. Hopefully the others wouldn't waste much time getting here, but for now. "Nice attack," Nani commented. Closely mimicking the same moves Allie had made, Nani slammed her own fists onto the ground, continuing "It's so nice, I think I'll use it too!"
