    Gotta consider that Google is actively competing with Apple, Microsoft and Linux now since they jumped into the OS game. But also consider there are better Android alternatives out there even. So their only chance at competing with Microsoft is in the search engine department since Microsoft already has 2 AI assistants that are superior to Google's. Cortana is better than Google Assistant and Copilot is way better than Gemini. Sadly, Gemini is still better than Siri. I honestly think stepping out of the big tech wars is probably the best thing we can do altogether because maybe if they enough customers, they'll stop competing with each other and stop giving a hoot about what shareholders say and start listening to the people that actually use their products.

      I get the point of stocking up. But say I have a 20oz Dr Pepper in my fridge and I go to the store to buy a 20oz Dr Pepper only to go back home and drink the one that I just bought. (This is more the discussion that we were in)

      Again, not sure what the dilemma is here. If you feel like buying the same drink and drinking that instead of the one you already have in the fridge, then that's your decision, but you don't have to if you find it unnecessary. I have no reason to explain to you why you would in the first place, nor why you should.
