  1. 2nd limited run of Engage is finished, and Hard did add a nice challenge. When doing the wheel for my 3rd run, I realised that I didn't have Jean or Anna on it, so I could've had 10 units + Alear for all of the runs. Though my 3rd run is going to be hard. Only got Alear until chapter 8 where I get Diamant and Amber, or starting chapter 7 + clearing the DLC for Nel and Gregory. Run 4 will be nice having access to Vander and Framme from the start.

  2. Fire Emblem Engage limited run is finished. Alear was MVP overall and pretty much my early game healer with Micaiah's ring, but early game Louis and Alfred both having good defence was useful, and then from the mid-game Citrinne put in a lot of work paired with Lyn and Camilla. Easiest map, would've been Corrin's trial map. Camilla/Alear Griffon for one health bar and Lyn!Citrinne Astra Storm with +4 Radiant Bow for the second one. Was Sniper Citrinne the best choice, probably not, but it is fun.

Took about 30 hours. Was only on Normal which made it quicker. Have started a new playthrough with similar restrictions for my first Hard playthrough and my options are much worse for the early game. Finishing chapter 6 and I have 4 units. Alear, Eite, Celine, and Yunaka. I don't get anymore until chapter 11 where I do get 2 in Kagetsu and Zelkov. Then chapter 12, 13 and 15 all get me a unit in Fogado, Timerra, and Rosado. Then it is 6 chapter break for my final unit Mauvier. Just need to get the Master Seal from then Anna mission then I can promote Alear so I can at least have an easier time getting the Tiki Emblem for Starsphere.

Gonna have to dodge tank a lot I see

  3. Starting a Fire Emblem Engage run where I can only use 9 randomly selected units + Alear. The randomiser has given me: Alfred, Louis, Lapis, Citrinne, Pandero, Lindon, Saphir, Hortensia, and Madeline. Not going to bother with the restriction when getting Madeline, because that would be too much of a nuisance.

      LordCowCow

I recently began an Engage run too though its only my second so no restrictions. Eventually wanting to do 3 so I can use every character.

This is only going to be my third run of the game. Decided to do a limited run where I don't actually choose the units myself cause otherwise I'm just going to go back to using Framme, Chloe, the Royals and probably Zelestia again. Which is also partially the reason I set the limit to 9 units besides Alear since the deploy limit is 12 for most maps, before rising to 14 for the last couple. Did spin Alfred, Hortensia and Lapis on the wheel, so I have some I've used before. But, after chapter 5, Louis was useful and I can see why he is used.

Ah that makes sense. Yeah I used Louis first run and he was so helpful it was surprising how much so. Especially early on.

  4. Been behind on watching anime I've been meaning to, so started watching through Soaring Sky! Precure after starting a rewatch of Hugtto!, and the Updraft Shining theme is a banger.

  5. Doing a mono-Normal nuzlocke of Violet, and against Nemona's Quaquaval before the 7th Gym. Damage calc says +3 Atk Slash from Zangoose is a guaranteed one-shot. Turns out it isn't, not only did I have Zangoose 1 level higher from checking stuff for Tulip, which would just be bad luck, since only one damage role didn't KO. But the Gym Leaders, Elite 4, Geeta, and your Friends/Rivals aces have 252 EVs in HP. Should've either given the Silk Scarf or set up one more Hone Claw against Lycanroc.

  6. Completed a mono-Dark Nuzlocke of Scarlet. MVP would probably be Tyranitar, outpacing Hyrdreigon as the best Dark-type psuedo by being available 9 levels earlier and getting Dragon Dance. Also, not being potentially one-shot by Fairies. Outside of that Crawduant did work soloing Arven and Penny, and even Mabosstiff soloed Clavell. I also was stupid in the Penny and Clavell battles as I for some reason decided to only bring one 'mon.

  7. Z2nHqK8.jpg

First shiny of The Indigo Disk. Well, technically its the second, but the first was also a Vibrava that I accidently KOed.

    1. The Chayncemaniac

      The Chayncemaniac

My first shiny in the DLC was Minun, less than 2 hours into it

  8. Doing a mono-Psychic Nuzlocke of Scarlet and is going well, went to do a bit of shopping before battling Ryme and the game crashes. But still the run has given me an appreciation for Armarouge. Only saving these runs right before picking my starter has backfired.

  9. Two mono-type runs of Sword where I have found a shiny early on which I can't use. The first was a Rookidee on my Bug-type run, and now a Diglett on a Electric-type run. Even doing Scarlet runs I'll usually find a shiny Lechonk before the 2nd Nemona battle.

  10. Well, nearly wiped to Raihan. Lost 4 mons being Frosmoth who was only partook in the 2nd Marnie battle and Raihan's Gym, Ninjask, Centiskorch, and Pinsir. Only really won due to having the Magnet equipped onto Vikavolt so I was guaranteed the range with Thunderbolt, and Duraladon attacking Golisopod, who thankfully survived with 1HP.

Would be kinda funny if you ended up having to rock an unevolved Skorupi ngl, but getting close

    3. Azure

Ended up wiping to Nessa. Killed the Pelipper a turn early, so my boosted Butterfree had to deal with a Tailwind boosted Barraskewda, and was outsped. Then hoped Durant would outspeed after the Tailwind ended, but nope and then got one-shot. Leaving a weakened Scolipede, Golisopod and Orbeetle. Scolipede then died to a crit Drill Run. Golisopod managed to get back to full from Leech Life against most of Nessa's team, but then Drednaw comes in and while Golisopod can survive a Max Rockfall, it triggers Emergency Exit.

Losing my Vikavolt in the prior Bede fight screwed me over. Also forgetting to replace Light Screen with Reflect on Orbeetle.

    4. LordCowCow

      LordCowCow

Oh ouch I totally forgot about Drednaw that's a tough one.

  11. Doing a Mono Bug Nuzlocke of Sword and the damn Policeman outside of Circhester with the Arcanine and Boltund has been the most annoying trainer so far. Ninjask doesn't do well against Arcanine, so I swap to Centiskorch thinking a Fire move. Ends up being Thunder Fang which paralyzes. Then swap to Golisopod since I wasn't paying attention, and then get Roared. Rinse and repeat until both Centiskorch and Golisopod would be dead to Extreme Speed from Arcanine, and pray that it goes for anything else so I can Sucker Punch it, which works due to a crit. Then the Boltund decides it also wants to use Roar. Did lose my Joltik since I needed a safe switch.

  12. Started a randomised Pokemon White 2 run and get a Gible starter, which gives Hugh a Klink. So of course the random moves Gible gets are all resisted by Klink. Then I head out to the first route and find a Garchomp, which Alpha the Gible did kill since it was a Mud-Slap vs Dual Chop. Then the second route has a Speed Boost/Dragon Dance Rayquaza, which died to a Rollout Luvdisc. Not event the second rival battle and it is already wild.

    1. Azure

      Azure

The tale of Beta the Rayquaza killing Luvdisk was short. He died to a wild Combee.

    2. Azure

      Azure

Well, that's the run over. I go to train in the dark grass and end up in a double battle against a Blitzle and Eelektrik. Turns out the Eelektrik had Wonder Guard and I had no Ground moves. So I was spamming the Run button and lost my Larion and Emolga. Then I get into a trainer battle against a Lillipup which uses Metronome and gets Frost Breath against my Gible. Didn't even reach Virbank.

Started playing MTG:Arena on Tuesday, and I have now achieved all I wanted to do in MTG. Create a bunch of token copies of token doublers. Thus allowing me to turn a land into a 72/72 Elemental with 1,073,741,823 +1/+1 counters on it.

    1. Azure

      Azure

Turn went: Use Destiny Spinner to turn Command Tower into X/X Elemental -> Use Yanna to create a copy of Primal Vigor -> Primal Vigor and my 5 Doubling Seasons instead stack to create 64 Primal Vigor Tokens -> Rosie Cotton of South Lane sees 64 Tokens ETB and so places a +1/+1 counter on Command Tower 64 times -> all 70 Primal Vigors and Doubling Seasons see this and stack reaching to counter cap 30 doubles in.

  14. Found my old DS Lite along with an Action Replay. Surprisingly the DS still has charge, so time to load up Pearl and cheat in a Manaphy egg to clear the game with.

    1. LordCowCow

      LordCowCow

I remember trying to play a game on the DS more recently and wondering how I ever played with such a small screen

    2. Azure

      Azure

After using the DS Lite for a bit it is not completely functional. The touch screen refuses to work most of the time so I couldn't actual start a new file on Pearl as I couldn't press the button on the Pokéball. So outside of getting using the action replay to get the Manaphy egg I'll probably be using my 2DS which does make the top screen slightly smaller to match the DS. Screen size though it's fine, feels the same as when I'm using an emulator due to the distance from the screen.

  15. Finished a mono-Rock Nuzlocke-lite of Scarlet. Basically allowed myself a revive for every gym and it effectively became a Tyranitar solo from the Fighting Crew to the end game. Did lose two to the elite 4, being my Titan Klawf, Basalt, as +3 to Atk and near max Atk EVs weren't enough to KO Rika's Donphan with Trailblaze. Still Basalts main job was to kill the Whiscash. Then I messed up and sent out my Coalossal against Poppy instead of T-Tar and so I let it die instead of switching into a High Horsepower.

  16. Slowly getting back into paper MtG and kinda looking forward to the Final Fantasy set coming out in a couple of years. Not sure why, my experience with Final Fantasy is basically around half of 13, which I started earlier this year, and the demo of Lightning Returns.

  17. About 5 and a half months until my birthday, but already trying to figure out what to do. Have a vague idea to effectively drag my family into a game show style quiz regarding my interests. The gimmick being that for some of the questions there is no actual wrong answers, with it more being the justification of the answer.

Main issue is I am good with vague ideas but damn do I suck at actually refining those vague thoughts. Plus question structures reminds me of school.

  18. Well with Love Live All Stars shutting down soon I decided to actual log back in again for all the free Stars since they decided to auto complete the story for everyone. So, with the 6 free 10 pulls on the guaranteed UR gacha I got none of my favourite characters. End the game with only 2 Kanan URs, and one of which was an event one when the player base was low enough to effectively guarantee anyone would've got it if they did pretty much any scoring.

  19. Re-obtained all the achievements for the Mass Effect trilogy, bar the one which requires multiplayer. Mass Effect 2 on Insanity was probably the hardest, especially the early game. Now to complete my  ME2 and 3 runs where Kaiden isn't dead.

    1. LordCowCow

      LordCowCow

Now that you mention it I'm unsure I ever saved Kaiden

    2. Azure

      Azure

I think I've only used Kaiden once and that was when I decided to start a non-imporred file on ME2 as FemShep. Have never really kept him alive since I usually play as MaleShep and romance Ashley in the first game. Then I rarely play the first game again since the combat is kinda clunky.

  20. Going through getting all the achievements in the Mass Effect trilogy and I really should've decided to do so before. 3 playthroughs is the minimum fro Mass effect 1 and I will be at 9. 3 to get to level 60, 1 to transfer a FemShep file to ME2, a Hardcore run I actual done on Normal, the two runs for Hardcore and Insanity. Now I need to do a run as an Engineer and Adept for the "Use X Power 75 times" achievements. Then on to Mass Effect 2 for the pain that is the Insanity run. The only achievement I can't get is one for ME3 which requires you to play the multiplayer which I can't get.

  21. Decided to create a "homebrew" race for "D&D" based entirely off a character a few years ago for some plot thing I had with never went anywhere cause my ability to commit to writing stuff is nearly non-existent.

I don't even play D&D, so it is never going to be used. I just got bored and D&D character sheets do give me a nice template to glance at while I never do anything with the characters.

  22. Well completed the Mass Effect trilogy again (sans the Omega and Citadel DLC due to money). Could've completed it earlier but achievement hunting in ME1 required 4 playthroughs before I needed to change it up. Still need to do a Renegade run but I hate playing Renegade. Do want to mess around on ME3 multilayer again cause that was some if the best fun I had with XBox Live.

      LordCowCow

Been tempted to get the legendary edition just to easily be able to play through all three again

  23. Decide to boot up the Xbox 360 for the first time in years to play Mass Effect only to discover we've had to replace it at some point so I no longer have access to my profile and also can't find the disk for Mass Effect 1 anywhere so instead time to replay Halo Reach.

    1. LordCowCow

Good choice but rip save file

  24. Why are most random people doing Cinderace raids stupid? I had one why the leader decided Meowscrada was a good choice. It died immediately along with someone's Annihilape so me and someone else had to deal with shields immediately along with losing out a turn of set up with our Slowbros. I should probably just give up and start date skipping to solo them.

  25. Mono Psychic nuzlocke of Sword has been completed. MVP of the run was my Galarian Slowbro, Curse + Slack Off + Black Sludge is good for most things when combined with Quick Draw. Did allow the use of both different Slowbro, as they are different enough for me. Not that my Kanto Slowbro did much outside of the Rose fight due to getting access to Flamethrower.
