Yusuji had to exercise what little self-restraint she had to not freak out even more at the wink Rose gave her, and merely hopped slightly on the spot as she took in everything the best idol ever said, oblivious to Souji’s cringing. “Oh, it’s gonna be so...so awesomazing to see around!” Yusuji said eagerly, shaking Hoshiko’s proffered hand. Then, Jun showed up, somehow doubling the awesomazingness of the experience and her comments causing Yusuji to beam even brighter. “As if I ever doubted you Jun! Since when have you ever been wrong about anything?” she asked playfully, putting her own arm around her best friend. “Yup yup, I can wait even less for classes now! So...Rose- er, Hoshi, right - what clubs are you joining? I’m part of the art club, and we’re always looking for more fr- members! If that’s your thing, I mean, and Jun does this really cool duel club too, if you wanna have some more fun duels here! I always love watching you perform!”

Yusuji’s face brightened when Jun mentioned Gabby; she’d be waiting for just the opportunity to get to know her better, after all those mysterious hints of mystery she’d left hanging in their brief chat. Which was a shame, as chats should never be brief. Suddenly, Jun paused and started smiling even wider. Even as Yusuji opened her mouth to ask why, Jun was already pointing to some students a little to the side of the duel stand. Squinting at them, she recognized Souji, that purple duel guy she met with Gabby yesterday, talking to a girl with a dark jacket and the pinkest hair Yusuji had ever seen. Pink hair was awesome, and it was a shame more people didn’t do it. In fact, the only other person she knew with pink hair was… “Omygoshohmygoshohmygosh!” squealed Yusuji hopping from foot to foot in excitement, “Rose-the-super-duper-idol-is-here-I-can’t-believe-it-OH-MY-GOSH!” She took a few deep breaths in an effort to calm herself, before immediately giving up and just turning back to Jun and Shiro. “This is like my ultimate dream come true! Well, second ultimate, but still! We’ve gotta see her! This-” Her arms waved aimlessly in the air as if searching for whatever word was supposed to come next, but in the end she just settled with “Come on!” and ran away eagerly for the third time that day. A moment later, and she was standing next to Rose. Fortunately, Yusuji had the self-restraint not to just tackle her one and only idol, but not to think up something to say before she said it. "Hi! I'm Rose, nice to- I mean, I'm Yusuji, and- and-" she stopped, fumbling with the words that hung just out of reach. "Can I just say what you did last time with that spooky ghost whats-his-face duelist when you used your Winda and Construct dodge around his super spammy-ness, also that duel where you used all of your Fusions to defeat your opponent with a rainbow assault was so fun to watch, and..." Yusuji trailed off again, for the first time feeling a little self-conscious as she awkwardly fumbled in her apron for something her favorite idol ever could sign with. "I'm just so glad I finally get to meet you!"
  3. Yusuji’s grin, initially wide and eager, froze as the fortune teller turned over card after card, each accompanied with a darker prophecy. Her eyes narrowed in puzzlement as the words flowed over her, something...off...with them. Schism of friends? Unhappiness wrought? What was this girl saying? "You shouldn't have come here. You would have been far better off not knowing these things." “I...I don’t…” Yusuji murmured, still lost in contemplation over the what had just been said. Then, with a shake, she was back, a slightly forced smile on her face as she refocused on the fortune-teller. “Thanks, I guess…” There was an awkward pause as Yusuji tried to think of something else to say, but all that came out was an even less sure, “I...look forward to seeing you around!” as the paintress pushed herself out of her seat and backed towards the door. Her gaze lingered on her host for a moment longer, but before anything else could be said, she dashed out of the room, leaving nothing but the fluttering tent flaps and a faint smell of acrylics. The sun greeted Yusuji warmly, both its rays and the loud, friendly noise of club day slowly diluting the lingering dark atmosphere from the fortune-telling club. She stood still for a few moments, breathing in the hot air that circulated through the dome to calm herself. Calm herself from what? There hadn’t been anything worrying in there, she was just a little unsettled. Probably something to do with that club’s dull color scheme. Nothing scary, just… Just... Turning around, Yusuji suddenly caught sight of Jun at the nearby Duel team’s table. The paintress smiled in delight. She really could count on her best friend to be there when she needed her most! So, with a running start, Yusuji hugged Jun tightly from behind. “Hi Jun!” she cried, her smile as wide as ever, but her eyes still a little uncertain, “How’s the club day been? That fortune-telling place is weeeeeeeird.” Then noticing the boy standing in front of them, Yusuji stuck out a friendly hand. “Hi Jun’s friend! I’m Yusuji, another Jun’s friend!”
  4. “...You desire your fortunes told, so Star, tell me what it is you desire to know, and I will endeavour to use my powers to answer them.” Yusuji’s mouth was agape at this point, completely lost in the words flowing from the girl in front of her. Well, more lost in their general sense, as she was really struggling to hold onto the long introduction. Before her eyes could go out of focus, she suddenly found a Deck placed in front of her. "It is traditional that one seeking knowledge shuffle the deck themselves, so that their Fate may align with what the cards say. If I were to shuffle it would do no good in telling your fate. Now then, please, tell me your dreams and about yourself as you shuffle, to fill the deck with knowledge." “About myself? I can do that!” Yusuji said, picking up the deck eagerly and immediately dropping a few. “Oops.” She grinned sheepishly as she picked them again. “I haven’t really done much shuffling. It’s always been on my to-do list, before doing something really sciencey and after wearing more than 3 hats at once. That one was Jun’s idea, who is the best friend you could ask for!” Yusuji explained, nodding enthusiastically before realizing how off-topic she had gotten. “Right, myself...oh, I love painting! I’m really hoping to do art for some cards, because of some of it is absolutely adorable, and there’s just something about forming a scene in your head and giving it life for all to see that really bubbles my milkshakes!” Another pause, this time to ponder the metaphor just used. “I don’t think I like that one. Normally I bounce them off my friends first, and let me tell you, friends are just great at being friends! I try to get a new friend every day, and I got a new record this year! Four in one day! You can never have too many of them, and making a new one just makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside.” Now Yusuji was positively beaming again, giving the cloaked fortune teller her full attention after she had put down the relatively well-shuffled cards. “Oh, maybe we can be friends! After this of course, still wanna see happens!”
  5. Melee isn't even my favorite Smash. Tbh I grew up without many friends, so most of my enjoyment came from single player games, and the beauty of Metroid Prime is hard to deny. Shame it got matched against Melee though, I know a lot of people love Melee ?
  6. Sorry for the late post! Entirely my own fault. Not really much to say here, the archetype is fully functional in its own right, with a neat little array of effects letting it be consistent when it comes to making fields while not being entirely stuck on gimmicks. Flotsam Tools is lacking a means to get it into the Pendulum Zone, but other than that you do have a nice lack of on-field effects to create an interesting theme of staying off the field. I do have 2 big complaints though. First is the lack of genericness. Not something that has to be "fixed", but Yu-Gi-Oh has such a wide card pool going for it; why not take advantage of many of the other numerous cards they have available? Maybe some WATER monsters, or an effect that requires you to have a certain amount of different Types but the same attribute in your GY. You don't have too many cards here, and that just opens the door for deck building. Secondly, opponent interaction. You have all of two effects that can do something to your opponent, and they're both on one card, Voyaging Flotasm. Maybe you could say Raft does something, but it rather defensive, working only when you go first. The problem is that the metagame for the past decade as revolve around creating something with a ton of negates and removal, meaning your deck needs removal and counters to deal with this. All your opponent needs is 1 floodgate, and your archetype can do nothing without outside support. Even your Flotasm can only negate certain things, and it requires to ladder into its negating form first AND a ton of materials beforehand. If your opponent negates your Fusion Summon, what are you supposed to do about it? Normally I see cards which are super self-supportive with boring effects, but fortunately while yours has the former it lacks the latter. All you need to do is adjust some of the more mediocre cards, like Rubbish, to actually do something to help set up when your opponent can deal with your plays.
  7. Never played the latter, but I still play Kirby Air Ride to this day to pass the time. It's just so simple and enjoyable.
  8. Assault is my favorite Star Fox game, if you don't count Star Link, as it felt actually different to the game they keep re-releasing with slight changes. True, remnants from Adventure drag it down, but I like the character and enemy designs, the voice acting was alright, and the gameplay was tight. Nothing wrong with Double Dash, just not as memorable.
  9. Sunshine is by no means bad, but I do feel it is one of the weaker main series Mario games. Resident Evil isn't anything amazing either, however, it takes the vote from me for what it developed into AND just how enjoyable it was, whether intentional (combat) or unintentional (bad voice acting).
  10. I love all the Paper Mario games, with this particular one having some of the best music and story of the series. Pikmin, on the other hand, always struck me as...never striking me in any way, and I can barely remember anything from it.

  12. The girl's demeanour, while not off-putting, was powerful enough to quiet down Yusuji for the first time today. The fortune-teller made the simple of act of moving a hand over a palm an art, with her fingers gliding over intricate patterns, unseen except by the reader. An artist in her own right. "I see that I hold the hand of a shining Star." "Wow..." breathed Yusuji again in awe. The tent and cloak in front of her were dark, yet the the girl's tone seemed to be drifting from some sort of higher plane. Or something. Yusuji had never really looked into the occult, save for occasionally copying the picture of a pretty tarot card, and had probably not even used the word, so this...performance...was completely new to her. "Come and take a seat my Star. " By the time the paintress had snapped back to reality, the mysterious girl was already seated within her tent, the shadows obscuring all save for a soft glow seeming to emanate from in front of her. Filled with excitement yet unsure as to what she was supposed to do, Yusuji virtually bounced through the concealing curtain, struggling to contain herself. She pulled aside the chair opposing the other girl, setting herself down carefully before shifting forward again, now noticing the glow was coming from an opaque crystal ball in the center of the inner table. All very atmospheric. Now Yusuji wished she had actually taken out her notebook. "I like what you've done with the dark colors," she whispered, silenced by the ambience of the tent as she glanced around the it, "although it makes a little hard to see. Oh, is this what you do your seeing stuff with?" Yusuji added quickly, pointing towards the glowing orb.
  13. Firstly, kudos for you sticking to the lore. The attention to detail is great. There's a couple of rule things I don't like here. Firstly, the treated as Normal Monster while on the field but still having effects. Aside from being unprecedented, it also locks them out of being targeted by Breakthrough Skill and similar cards that specify targeting an Effect Monster, which can be a little annoying. It doesn't really interact with the Noble Arms cards in the Psuedo-gemini way of the other Noble Knights either, so it never becomes an effect monster. Can a Normal Monster have effects? It's really up to you here, but I'd suggest leaving the Normal Monster thing in the GY only, as we have enough Noble Knights that are treated as Normal Monsters on the field, but again, your call. Kay doesn't really fix a problem Noble Knights had, with Custeninn being a much better option to dump from the hand and Gawayn not having a restriction on the Summoning effect. They struggle more with maintaining a field rather than initially making it. Caradoc is good, but a little bland. Still, cards don't have to be complicated to work, right? Elaine has the "treated as" which I really don't like, and normally feels like a cop-out. Why not have "Daughter of the Noble Knight" as the child of Arthur. While helping the late-game, which NKs need, it feels a little cheap here being "NS this get 3 mat Xyz" as draw to win, which then nets you 3 Noble Arms from your GY. It's just so versatile, too much so imo. For your arms, you don't need "during either player's turn" when you already have "Quick Effect" as they both denote the same thing. I don't like quick effects on spells, but they need plays on your opponent's turn, so I'll let it pass. I'd suggest going with one or the other, personally, as they both accomplish similar things, and Morgan herself is easily grabbable with the Trap they have and does better than the former. NK's are a big archetype, so it's good not to bloat them too much, you know? Still, I do like Carnwennan. A little creative and abusable with two copies of itself being able to be re-used. Very interesting. I'd say keep that one. Camelot is a good card, true, but it clashes with Noble Knights of the round table, imo. This could do better reworked as a Continuous Spell of sorts, even though technically the other way around would work better. But, Konami has already made the Field Spell, and with Terraforming still legal people will play both, with the original field being the late game play, and this card being essentially a Normal Spell that searches and nets you a monster from your Deck. Not all Fields have to search :3 Legacy is cool, with a fair restriction on the re-adding to the hand. A common type of card, but one that works well in this context. Noble Knights could do with some support, but I feel you have too many cards here. 36 is already a ton of cards, and adding more gets them into HERO and Blackwing territory of completely overshadowing older cards, which we should be working with rather than ignoring imo. Still, you have quite a few good cards here that don't do that, and are just purely useful in their own right, so nice!

Day 1 of club week was near the top of Yusuji’s arbitrary list of favorite days of the year, just below any given day with a friend and followed by days 2 through 5 of club week in no particular order. Yesterday had been even higher, with it having gone for the double combo of more time with Jun AND at least 3 new friends! Right now, however, Yusuji was alone, having pulled the short straw of walking around to hand out flyers for the art club. Normally she didn’t mind people interaction, but people just seemed so busy today for some reason, and not in the mood for new friends. Sometimes people didn’t even respond to her offers to join the club! Perhaps day 2 of this week would be better, but still, the day was young, the artificial sun was high, and Yusuji’s optimism refused to be dampened. For a while, she continued to wander, alternating between her assigned job and just admiring the many different stalls that littered the school's property. Eventually, her eyes lay on the duel team's, one which Yusuji had been badgered by Jun to join but had never really got around to it. Maybe now would be a good time. Even better, maybe she could find Jun and the pair could do some cross-combo-promotion! After all, it was right there, just past the... “Wow.” Yusuji breathed, taking in the darkly extravagant tent positioned right next to the duel team's booth. She didn’t recognize the club it belonged to, but was more overwhelmed by its design, with intricate runes and arcane text. She had had no idea so much could be done much with the one color of black. With her eyes still locked on the mass of canvas, the paintress dug around in her abnormally large apron, searching for whatever notepad she’d remembered to take to her club’s stall today. “One trading card for fortune-telling!" called out the shortest of the cloaked figures, her face obscured by the dark robes. The scouring hand changed its mission at top speed, instead picking out something that seemed vaguely card shaped. “I’ve got one!” Yusuji called, pulling out the card as she hurried over. And people said she needed to clean out her apron pockets more often. Fortune telling sounded fun, and this way Yusuji would have something else interesting to tell Jun when she finally got to see her. It was only yesterday the pair had met Gabriella with her dark, mysterious past; maybe this was something she'd like as well. And hey, the girl in this club was asking for conversation too. Day 1 definitely still had hope! "Hi, I'm Yusuji, nice to meet you!" Yusuji said brightly, extending both an open hand and the one holding the card. "What sort of fortune stuff do we get to do?"
  16. I love Metroid and Mario Party, but the latter I find difficult to have fun alone with ?
  17. Metroid Prime 2...my least favorite Prime game, but still one of my favorite games of all time. The thematics and and streamlining advanced from Prime 1 was spectacular at points, and is a joy to experience, not just to play, at least for me. Sonic DX I felt was forgettable, save for the funny voice acting and story.
  18. Infinite Trainscendence interaction hm???? Perhaps your Traps should have "You can banish 3 Normal Trap Card with different names from your GY, including this card;" as otherwise it can be a bit too easy to activate for free monsters from the Deck. Green nets you a Kozmo or again any Machine monster your Deck needs. World Legacy also comes to mind. But by upping the requirement, I think it will be limited in a good way. On the other hand, adding a restriction like that really does hurt these card's playability, as you have to wait 3 turns to use it within the set, which is really one of the most efficient ways to use it in the first place. Yellow and Red are definitely the best 2 of the Deck, with Yellow being really useful for locking out your opponent's plays for a turn and hitting Extra Links, and Red being an almost better Breakthrough Skill. They seem better at being generic than part of this laddering set. Hm.

Because Advanced and Casual Multiples tend to get less review than Singles, and I think every set deserves at least one review from people, so that the creators can know what they did wrong/right and what to change for the future. Why don't I just review the threads without doing something like this? Well, I find it difficult to just do things in my own time, so this way I will feel more obliged and motivated to do it, and hopefully other can do the same by joining me as reviewers! Why would I want to help review? As mentioned above, I tend to procrastinate things. A lot. This thread is a means of motivating me to do those things, as without it, it's super easy to just look over threads and not comment if you don't feel like it. This way, there's an actual goal to meet, something to accomplish. Maybe you have the same problem, and this thread can help you. Or maybe you're just happy commenting on stuff you feel invested in. But anyway, I really would like help; it lessens the workload on me. How do I become a reviewer? Simple! Just post if you're happy to help; I would really appreciate it. This way, you'll get some of the responsibility as well; feel free to stop at any time, or not to take a set you are unfamiliar with; just tell me first instead of just not doing stuff ^^ What kind of review should I expect/be expected to produce? More than the Advanced Clause requires, really. Unless a set is just...well, great, there's normally more to be said than just pointing out one broken card. Even an entirely broken set shouldn't be handwaved with "This set is bad." or any variation of such lengthened to fit the AC; you should try and tell them how to go about fixing as many mistakes you can muster an explanation for. Most of the time bad design isn't purposeful, and while people can be unwelcoming towards certain points, that's no reason as to why you shouldn't at least try to help. But yeah, the a basic review will talk about the good/problematic cards that stand out as well as the set as a whole. At least one of mine; if you follow a different structure that works, go for it. Rules and Submitting: So yeah. Post to get reviews for your Advanced Multiples or Casual Multiples, and I hope you get the comments you want, or at the very least the critique you need!
  20. I know that, but you can't have a Spell effect be Spell Speed 2, as all Spell Speed 2 cards are either Trap Cards, Quick-Play Spell Card activations, or Quick Effects.

  22. I didn't mean it was fine, I meant it wasn't broken, but still too good. As I said, it completely outclasses Master; maybe make it trigger of targeting in some way, to work with the other Eyes of Blue Cards? Paladin works out fine for now, decent fix. Didn't realize the clause that prevented attacked applies to both before and after; maybe phrase it like "until the End Phase. Monsters you control other than the targeted monster cannot attack during the turn you use this effect." to be a little more clear. A lot of your Eyes of Blue cards benefit off being Normal Summoned. How about something like this for Soul: "If you control 1 or no monsters: Take 1 "Eyes of Blue" monster from your Deck or GY, then, if you control "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" you can Special Summon that monster, otherwise add it to your hand. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn you activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Soul of the White Dragon" per turn." The only reason I think the Special Summoning on Soul is fine because I'm assuming you're nerfing Elf, because they combo too well together currently if you buff Soul to make it usable.
