  1. Shocking.... (though actually there's a couple things I'm not sold on but that's to be expected)
  2. Not bad but sadly generic sounding 7.5/10 too much artistic merit for me 6.5/10
  3. Before listening: Mr T? While listening: Rapunzel hung out with Mr T? 7/10, might be more without THAT part
  4. What was taking so long? Did Melissa get into some kind of trouble? How long was too long between messages? Gabby didn't have much to base it off of, only having had conversations on the home phone once or twice, where silence tended to be incredible awkward. Should she perhaps go to find school security, if such a thing existed, to make sure everything was alright? Or did Melissa think that Gabriela's message about walking to class meant she didn't want to be disturbed. Was that how this texting thing worked? She had gotten outside of class when she decided she would message again to be sure she knew it was fine to respond when a message popped up. Gabby smiled and laughed at herself for being so weird about it. Of course everything was fine. Why wouldn't it be? Not long after another message came in. With an image attached. After working out how that worked for a bit she realized what the image was of. She instinctively hid the phone as she looked at it, though no one was looking at it, and slowly took another peak. So she knew now. Obviously she would find out at some point but she had kind of sort of hoped it would be after class when Gabby wasn't so tired and uncertain. With a sigh she wrote another message. "I have. I am used to such scrutiny but I must apologize for bringing a commoner into the spotlight like this. You must be getting so much trouble for being seen with one as I in such a situation." She stared at it for a while before deleting it. Realizing even with her persona it sounded ridiculous. So she instead just sent a simple. "Yes. My apologies." and left it at that. She'd have to figure out what to do about it after class. That is if she could focus enough and stop thinking everyone was looking at her. When she first arrived here she had wanted to make a splash. Be seen as someone interesting, and confident, but she didn't want attention this way...
  5. "pizza girl, feel free to chime in with your own thoughts." Hana looked up as the coach said that. As if she had some instinctive knowledge that, while they all had pizza, she was the one being spoken about. Usually it was the case. She had been called all sorts of types of girl. Pizza girl. Sushi girl. Cake girl. Stupid girl. That last one wasn't a food. Unless there was some food in a different language that she didn't know of. Her eyes lit up at the idea that there was a food she had no knowledge of. At the moment she was sitting down on the ground. Four open boxes of pizza laid out in front of her. She had a slice in each hand. One, anchovies and black olives. The other, chicken and bacon. She took a bite of both at once then scooted herself closer to Avi. "Hey, hey Avi, is stupid a food somewhere?" He knew so much more about cards than she did so surely he knew about all sorts of things. Especially something as important as food. It was just then that she remembered the coach had asked for their thoughts. "I think that this pizza is good!" Hana said. "I wish I could have given you one for your own but you came in so late...Maybe someone else will let you have some of theirs." Though she doubted it. After all she had been rather greedy and only got one or two pizzas per person besides herself. Wait. "OH, did you mean the duely thing? Uhh...well..." She shoved most of the rest of one piece in her mouth and chewed it while thinking, tapping her chin with the other piece as she considered the duels she saw. "It looked like everyone had fun!" Was the conclusion she reached.
  6. Rona didn't like it. She wanted to leave right that moment. Yet they all were standing around and even thinking about taking even more time to help out the strange merchant. It wasn't as though she even had much in the way of special weapons. Nothing she felt she couldn't get elsewhere. Yet once again Leon was asking for their opinion. Why he didn't just go with his own decision was beyond her. The first to respond was Yue, who voiced a desire to help the girl out. She didn't want to disagree with her. Making the archer of the group angry seemed like a dangerous idea. Yet the way the talk was going it seemed like she might be dragged into helping the woman out anyway. "You know we probably could help with that wagon. Especially with the mounts we've got." Alexis said, confirming Rona's worry. Alexis herself was somewhat disappointed to find out that the merchant and Raynor barely knew each other. But that didn't mean they couldn't get closer. In fact this was the perfect situation for that! She just had to nudge them in the right direction. "Isn't that right, Raynor? I'm sure your friend there is strong enough to pull a wagon if a horse can do it. And I know how helpful and strong you are, so why don't you help the lady out?" Alexis said, giving a not-so subtle wink in the Jouran's direction. She hadn't expected Rona to be happy with the idea of stopping to help, given how much she wanted to move on, and the wyvern rider spoke up soon after. "And if he gets injured trying to help? We were just in a battle if we're going to be pushing ourselves we should be pushing to keep going." Alexis turned towards her. "Ah, come on, they aren't going to catch up any time soon. And it gives everyone else some time to rest. What's the issue?" "The issue is that this is pointless!" Rona said. The girl was surprised at her own outburst. She hadn't meant to be so aggressive but she couldn't help it. The longer they stayed there the more paranoid she grew. Shaking her head she announced. "Commander I'm going ahead to check the road out." Alexis shrugged. Seems the warrior was more skittish than she initially appeared. Granted she did learn she's practically being hunted just recently. "So where you from anyway, Anne?" Alexis said, trying to steer the conversation to a more pleasant path.
  7. And I'll take "Most undeservedly hated videos for 1000 Alex" Seriously it's not even as bad as some songs posted here. 5/10 Like this. It's not really bad sounding but I had to stop listening halfway through cause it felt like it was taking forever 4/10
  8. Can't say Icelandic is a language I think of often. 7.5/10
  9. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Kelsey grew silent as Vivian mentioned someone getting injured. Her gaze flicked over towards her arm for a moment before she looked back at the protective gear. She supposed it would just have to do for now. When Stella mentioned boxing she scratched the back of her head. "Yeah, guess they do, but...well, alright I suppose so." She agreed with some hesitation. It just felt weird to put all this stuff on just for a little fight. "Are those expensive, by the way? The prosthetics. It's fine if you don't want to tell me, but they look really nice, so I was curious." They looked nice did they? Kelsey's eyes darkened a bit as she thought about that. What, like some kind of fashion statement? "You're right I don't want to tell you." She said. "Let's just do this thing already, okay?" She got into her stance, fists up, legs apart, and waited for the signal to begin before going in swinging. --- "um, sorry for doing this on short notice, but thanks again. For letting us use your building for this stuff, an all." "It's fine." Kris responded, crossing her arms over her chest and watching the two of them closely. "It's better than letting you do it in the dorms or something stupid like that." She glanced over at the girl. "You aren't going to join in?" Watching the other two Kris focused in on Kelsey and frowned. "She's being too aggressive." She muttered disapprovingly. Sammi "If you're staying, you might as well do something other than just sit there though, like have a conversation. What planet are you from?" "I-it's nothing special." Kaiser said, clearly not having expected the question. He looked away for a while before finally responding. "It's called Konigreich. It, um, it's not really a big planet or anything." Kaiser followed it up with swiftly. "Really, don't uh, don't think much about it. It's just a small nothing place that's all. Um...what about you, where are you from? It must be somewhere pretty tough if you came from it..." If Sammi knew, or if she checked, for information on Konigreich she'd find a surprisingly bloody history. The planet was indeed small but it had, at one point in history, incredible military might. They had tried to take many planets under their control and even managed to succeed in conquering several of them before the League of Planets, the main governing body of the universe, led by the President of Space, put a stop to it. Nowadays the planet is a shell of its former self. Mostly being used as a place for production on mechs and farming, providing food for the planets they damaged in their attempted conquest. Chase and the Punkettes It would become more difficult to keep up with Sid as so many people were moving and jumping about. But he would be able to just barely keep up with him. Especially as the boy was suddenly stopped by a tall, mean looking, man who started to curse him out about something that Chase couldn't really hear. Before he could decide what to do the song ended and the lead singer shouted out "How did you like that, you pieces of trash!" She waited for the response, a combination of cheers and boos, before starting up again. "Thought we'd have some fun tonight. Gonna grab one of you garbage and bring em up on stage to sing along with the next one! When the robo lights you up red you come on up here!" She pressed a button on the microphone and a small disk-shaped robot, with a metallic mohawk and painted in green, red, and black splashes of color, popped out of the stage and started to sweep across the floor. The light was a dim white light as it passed by several people. It stayed just high enough to avoid the grasping hands while it made its search. Finally it stopped, and shone a red light. Right on Chase himself.

Swinging her claw down towards the Ghost Gijinka. When Lok responded the Legend would seem to grow even more distressed and crazed. Thrashing about. If they looked closely they would see wounds appearing on their body from the attacks that the group had sent its way. Even the mighty Legend was bound to be worn down by so many attacks. But something seemed wrong. Giratina retreated backwards. Crouching low as they kept their eyes on the group and slowly backed away. They would notice that the liquid seemed to be spreading as even more chunks of the ground had been torn up. Giratina stopped, twitched, and violently threw their head back. And let out a bestial roar. Then the world vanished. The walls and floor, everything, disappeared suddenly. No one could see in front of their face. And just as suddenly the world returned. Only it seemed twisted. BGM Instead of walls and a floor there were chunks of ground floating in space. Some above, some below, some off to the side. Each of them stood on a different one. Shaymin found himself above the others, standing upside down, though to him it seemed right-side-up. Nine was standing sideways off on one end. And Lok, along with Giratina, were on platforms where the "floor" had once been. Giratina moved to the next closest platform and it suddenly moved sideways. They jumped up and found themselves on one of the platforms above Lok. Which itself then moved and slide in next to Nine's platform. The Legend herself also seemed different. Her face was more savage than before, more animal-like. Their arms seemed to have vanished and instead there were a multitude of spear-like limbs waving around on their back. At first glance there only seemed to be a few but upon a second look there seemed too many to count. But as they twisted their head towards Nine one of her arms reappeared and grabbed the Houndoom. Tossing him towards Lok. As Nine collided with the platform Lok stood on it suddenly sank lower and twisted to the side. With them still staying upright on it. Despite that it seemed they should have fallen off into the abyss below. The only remnant of the previous cave they could see was off in the distance, next to another platform, the tunnel exit. Where Gwen watched in horror. "I have to help...this is too much." Gwen said and started to drift forward. The voice stopped her again. "No, it's too soon. They aren't weakened enough. You would ruin all our planning in an instant? Just wait, it's not time." Gwen bit her lip but didn't respond. Only gazing out at her companions. Was this the price she had to pay for her part in this plan?

  12. Naomi didn't resist as she was rolled onto her side. In fact she just flopped on over onto her stomach, arms down at her side, without changing much else about her position. She did crane her neck a bit and rested her chin on the sand. Staring Bug right in the face. Who stared back. The two of them simply lay like that for a while as Milla and Kanon spoke. The trainer that Kanon had been fighting didn't seem to entirely understand what Kanon was talking about. "Uh, like, a Pokemon attack or something? Hypnosis? Does that actually happen in anything other than movies?" She shrugged. "Well, I feel fine now, I guess. But suppose I'll be careful in the future." As to Kanon's suggestion of traveling together she waved them off. "Nah, I gotta get stronger, and I have to do that on my own. I'm heading back to the route to train up against some more Fire types. You be careful though, this place is easy to get lost in. There should be a city off a bit to the north there though." And with that she left. Casting a glance at Naomi, who had finally returned Bug to its ball and was now laying with her arms above her head. Naomi was humming as she rolled back over onto her back and sat up. "S'pose we should find somewhere not s'sandy." With some struggle she managed to get to her feet and shambled off with the others back into the whipping sand. There were several other pillars in the distance as they moved towards where the city should be. Each one they passed they'd notice the same. The sand didn't blow around the area where the pillars were. And overhead, even through the sand, they could feel the heat of the sun beating down on them. The farther along they went the more Naomi would slouch and drag her feet. While Rus managed to hit the Tepig first it was to find out that the pig Pokemon had more muscle behind it. The strike landed but Rus was tossed backwards by the Tepig's return attack. "Did you really think that'd work? Just look at the size difference, my Tepig has a lot more strength than that bunny of yours, and now its time we really prove it!" She pumped her fist in the air. "Go on, Tackle again, it won't be long now before you win this!" Pawing at the ground the Tepig snorted and charged recklessly at Rus once more. Not seeming to be bothered by anything his opponent would do and instead focused on his frontal charge.
  13. Keres wasn't put off by the girl refusing her help. She simply nodded to her and backed away to give her some space. She didn't think that weasel had any toxins or anything specific to worry about when preparing. So it should be fine to leave Pyrrha to her own devices. Geoff overheard Ryia saying that the fight was eventful and bound his way over to her. "Oh she's being modest. It was incredible! You should have seen her face off against the beast. Why I was sure it was going to swallow her whole but she stood her ground and delivered mighty blows! For an ordinary adventurer it was impressive. Even my spirit was amazed, isn't that right?" He turned towards the buffalo who responded with a simple grunt. "See?" Geoff said, nodding confidently. "My body seemed to have failed me when tried to harness thunder earlier. I don't think I'll be able to heal myself for a bit... care to teach me any tricks to get the juices flowing again, little Keres?" Keres tensed up as Lindow approached her. But the statement caused some thoughts to stir in her head about the usage of magic. Before she got into that, however, he had another question. "Was there any sign of the woman's husband out there?" "Pendant." Keres said in response. "Husband likely dead. But this was in the roc's nest." She took out the pendant they had found which matched the description that the woman had given them. After she reconsidered Lindow's words. He had mentioned a failure in his body after using magic which was actually quite a serious issue. She felt like she had to talk to him about it. So she approached the man and waited for him to acknowledge her before speaking. "Magic puts a strain on the body." She began. "It's like a muscle. Misuse. Overuse. Causes damage. It's like...eating something you're not meant to eat. Body rejects it over time...If too far it can...backfire." --- As it turns out weasel was a rather gamey meat. The creature has very little in the way of fat and its body, while lean, is muscular. And as Keres noted eating meat from an animal that was just fighting for its life generally tastes worse than one caught by surprise. Nonetheless it seemed safe and didn't taste horrible. "Alligator is better." Keres mentioned partway through. Geoff, as it turned out, was not a meat eater. He instead was eating some vegetables that he had stored away in a pouch that had been hidden under the buffalo's fur.
