  1. Zoe had gotten to the event venue early to get the perfect seat at an equal distance between the opponents and at a decent height to get a good look at them. Sure, she had to deal with a few people asking questions about many different topics, which was a non-issue. A few reporters did pester her, which was annoying, but she answered a few questions and they finally left her alone. This turned her attention to the field in front of her. In Zoe's opinion, the best outcome of this match for her is Yuliya, because the debuffs that Zombie World imposes on her deck would make her strategies difficult. From what she knew, Thunder Dragon's were hyper-aggressive, which could easily be stalled out, but Zombie's were slower, which give them a better shot against her. However, she had yet to see how they played, so that would have to wait. Then, the spotlights turned on and the opponents entered the arena. They seemed to be old friends, and friendly rivals at that. The two played very differently. Yuliya was playing aggressively, focusing on banishment and discarding to activate her effects. She also was confident, barely pausing between cards played. She also seemed to play up the theatrics a bit, but that just might just be her brand of style. Arden on the other hand was focused on defense, setting a few cards with Zombie World. Either way, this duel was far from over, and Zoe started to get why some of these duelist did it, it certainly was exciting. Only a little though.
  2. Talking to Leila was more frustrating than Zoe had expected. She had essentially been told yes, it was pretty tame considering all, but it was definitely possible that it doesn't stay that way. However, on the bright side of things, Leila was incredibly easy to talk to about food with. "Well that is nice to know. It at least it has the potential to be better." She took another bite of the Cherruberry Croissant. "Wow, it's a strangely named pastry, but it is good." She was then given a question of what she was doing, specifically pointed at restaurants. "Well, finding a few places to eat here might be nice. But no, I was planning on going to the beach. It's a place I like to collect my thoughts. I was planning on getting a coffee before going there, and here we are. I didn't really expect to meet someone on the way. So, if you don't mind, let's pick up this conversation after I grab a coffee." She then turned to try and walk past Leila into the cafe, but she noticed a pair of girls sitting outside facing the street. They appeared to be conversing and staring at her and Leila. This bothered her a bit, so she walked over to the pair to ask about the purpose of their gaze in her direction. "Excuse me, you two. I saw your attention was focused on Leila and I. I was wondering if you wanted to ask or tell us something. If it's about food, perhaps she would be a better person to ask then me." She waited for an answer to her question.
  3. Zoe had asked one of the locals and was pointed to a local bakery/cafe, "Manna from Heaven Bakery". She was planning on entering and getting a coffee before she noticed a woman staring at her. She vaguely recalled seeing this person at the opening ceremony and tried to remember who this person was, but after a few seconds the woman approached Zoe. Her voice contradicted her appearance, looking enthusiastic but sounding exhausted. "Yes, my name is Zoe Celia. And you are..." She thought for another moment before spitting out names. "Lily. Liliana. Leanne. Leila. Eliana. Leila!" She said with a snap. "Well, how are yo..?" Zoe's vision is suddenly flooded by Leila's white hair. "W-whoa! Personal space, please." She took a step back from the overenthusiastic duelist. The desert themed duelist then revealed the contents her bags, first a personal one, and then a bag from the bakery. There were so many different kinds of pastries in that bag that Zoe couldn't recognize some of them, like this thing that appeared to be a open faced croissant filled with jelly. "No, I don't..." She tried to object, but her stomach overruled her with a growl. "Alright, I'll have one, but I owe you something." She reached in and grabbed the pastry that piqued her interest. "But no promises on pastry dough clearing troubles. Eating your problems away is a terrible coping mechanism." Zoe took a deep breath. "So, this is how a pro deals with the largest dueling tournament of the year. Is it always like this? Maybe it's just me, but so far it's been feeling a bit lack luster, having bravado but not much else." She took a bite of the dessert, and was blasted away with how tasty it was. "Wow, this is really good, thanks. What is this? I don't believe I've ever had one of these."
  4. This is cool just in general. Notation: Interested.

    Blaming Myself

So, I'm going to talk about something that's been bothering me for quite some time. Ever since I joined up back in the YCM days before the split, every time I joined an RP, it never ended up going anywhere. It crashed and burned, whether that be because of lack of time, enthusiasm, or what have you. However, I noticed a trend. In most (not all) of these canceling, I was the last to post before it ended prematurely. It had died, and the way I saw it, it was my fault for not writing well or what have you. I mean sure, I made jokes about it, "The Destroyer of RP's", Haha, very funny. But I think that this has gave me hesitance to write, because I feel like that if I can't take the plot somewhere interesting, than it will just end up crashing and burning, which honestly sucks, but I love writing, I have so many narrative ideas to create and want to create. I know that these are not my fault, they are just a set of unforeseen consequences I hadn't expected, but if I know this, why do I feel so terrible about it? Why do I feel like if something fails that I touched that I was the cause of it? Is it normal to feel this way? Are these even the right questions to be asking? I don't know, but just talking about it certainly makes me feel a little better.
  6. The opening ceremony was not exactly what Zoe had exactly expected. It was a bit more lengthy than she had expected, and she was running out of patience near the end of the announcer's speech, but the end did give her some ideas about who she was facing and how to set up her deck for certain match-ups using her side-deck. But, the event ended, and Zoe calmly walked to the exit, where she and her fellow competitors were swarmed by a mob of reporters. Zoe wished that there were less press here. She knew, it was the biggest dueling event of the year, but that didn't mean that this was the only time to interview people. She did briefly get asked a few questions, but they were very simple question. Why Aroma's? "It is an old favorite, however with a new twist on things." Are the rumors about a new ace true? "Well, I wouldn't consider it an ace, but yes I have. I think I'll save it's reveal for the tournament." How are you feeling about the tournament ahead? "I can't afford to feel anything but confident." What was her main reason for entering this tournament in the first place? "No comment, this isn't the place for me to answer that question, nor the time." She brushed aside any other questions she was asked. She was glad there were so contestants, because it meant that the press would be occupied with the other competitors instead of her, giving her a chance to leave and put everything together. She was ready to cool off in the best way she knew how. She was going to see the ocean, one of the few places she felt at ease. But, she intended on grabbing a coffee first, of course. She wasn't exactly sure how to reach there from the arena or the hotel, but she hoped that someone at the coffee shop would be willing to point her in the direction of a beach. 'There isn't much time to prepare,' Zoe thought to herself. 'There are too many potential match-ups for any specific change to my deck to be super effective. But there are no safe paths left for me. The only choice is to press forward.'
  7. And now, the moment two people have been waiting for, the blog no one asked for, JELLIS DOES SOMETHING HERE FOR ONCE!

Sorry about the length, the future posts will be about shorter segments.

  8. Hello everyone, this is likely a blog that is going to shift topics every once in a while. First off, I am going to talk about my randomized adventures in Pokemon White, while not my favorite nor my first, is a difficult game and something I haven't tried since the re-release of Pokemon Blue for the 3ds. I got this Idea from stumbling onto the Youtube channel of one Tom Fawkes. I randomize everything from Pokemon placement to types and learnsets, TM compatibility, you name it. However, no regular wild pokemon are going to be legendary, and the Dark Stone isn't going to hold a Pidgey. Some may call this not truly random, but I think that make the game harder, but I now in post wished that it didn't give legends to Random Trainers. So now, without further delay, let this adventure unfold. I hit up a random name generator and got the name Savoe, which apparently means I'm an Italian in New York. The starters offered to me were the Fire Type Porygon, the Fire Type Oddish, and the Ghost Type Venipede. I chose Porygon, named it Fireypixel and it had Sing, which, if you don't know, is great because it increases the chances of catching pokemon. I almost lose to Cheren's Venipede, it knowing Rock Throw, and then I spam Incinerate to kill the Oddish. We then go to route 1, and see Juniper catch a pokemon and not add it to the Pokedex(I never understood this). I then walk into the grass and find a Combee, which I make fall asleep and catch. Unfortunately, it is a Male Ground-Ghost type, which means it's a pile of garbage. I named it boozz, because it's the portmanteau of boo and buzz. We walk into Furret Town, where they worship the god who treadmills to the promised sequel or something of the like. We see Ghetsis talk about freeing the God from his treadmill, and everyone is confused. Some guy, M or whatever, decides to fight me, and I defeat him quite easily. We then go out to route 2, and accidently kill an Ice Surskit on the way, Then, we fight Bianca, who, for GOD knows why has a Kyurem, which for some reason was either Fire or Water Type or both, and then came out Oddish. boozz did decent damage to it with mudbomb, but is random crit and dies, putting my death count at 1. I put him in the Graveyard and go back to pick up some more items, including a Helix Fossil. I couldn't believe the town cast out our lord and savior for a ferret. It will be of great help if I survive until Lenora. I go to the Dreamyard, and then almost lose to the first trainer because it had an Water-Grass Deoxis. I come back and claim the gift, got an Ice Luxio that I named Luckio becuase I hoped for good RNG, and it was Ice, and immediatly became a big help for Cress. The battle was so easy that I forgot what Pokemon he had. There we go, one down, seven to go. I went out of town, beat up some toddlers, and then was sent to beat up some people to get back a Patrat from Team Plasma, and on the way I find a Gothita which is a Dragon Type, which I named Drag King. I beat those guys up with Cheren in a cave, and find where Juniper got Cheren's starter, and catch one for myself, and christen him Phantipede. I go around into Nacrene City. First things first, I punish L for not paying admissions to enter the museum, only to find out that the museum doesn't have an admission fee. My bad, I forgot this was Animerica and not America. I then go train outside Pinwheel Forest, catching a Ground-Type Timbur named Tremor. I then fight some guys out in the grass, and while out fighting a black belt next to the Challenge Rock, she sends out a Hariama and crits Phantipede, and he dies. Not too long afterwards I take on the gym, after noticing all the ghosts have died. I then tragically lose Drag King to a mistap, accidentally hitting an attack instead of switching out, getting hit by a Icuring (Ice Ursaring, haha, it hurts) and death number three. However, his death reminds me that I have that Helix Fossil that I never used, so I go over to the counter, slide him God himself, and he gives me a Carnivine made of Water, and I named him Carn. Then comes Lenora. I don't remember all the Pokemon that she had, but I know that I didn't lose any. I remember Phirypixel being really close to death due to a Dragon Dance boosted sweeper, and Luckio having just enough health to switch-in and hit it with Glaciate to kill it. The basic badge is within my grasp. Then, Lenora's Husband kicks over the bookshelf we were battling under and says that Team Plasma is taking the Dragon Skull. I march through the Forest and encounter my Nemisis. All Park Rangers. Because I was grinding up my Tremor, I accidentaly walked in front of him, and he sends out a Grassly (Grass Gastly), and it one shots it. I burn his favorite moss ball into ashes and leave him crying in the dust to hide the fact that I was also crying from having three deaths so soon. I catch a Fire Paras named Paris, and now I only have four Pokemon, Phirypixel, Luckio, Carn, and Paris. I then steamrolled through the woods, the last trainer having yet another Kyurem, but luckily he didn't have a Fire Bush to finish off any of my Pokemon. I then get the Dragonite Skull back and cross the bridge into Castelia City. I go down, meet a shady guy who gives me a Water Stone. I go up the Battle HQ, force the CEO to clean the floor so I have less work to do when I use him as a mop, and then head out into Route 4 to catch my next pokemon and meet Haru, my Fighting-Ground Snorunt. I also go up a bit to get an item, and get an Old Amber. Remembering how useful Carn has been, I run all the way to Nacrene just to revive it, and it gives me a Tepig I named El Piggo. He's a Dark Type, and his only Dark-Type move is Memento. Memento makes the Pokemon that uses it die. I now realize why an adorable pig would be Dark. But, he does have good coverage, so he's a keeper. I then try to fight Burgh, who then slaps me in the face and says no. He then leads me on a wild goose chase that leads to the building across the street. We beat some guys up, Ghetsis spouts some philosophy about a burning white-hot Truth Dragon, and leaves, and THEN I fight Burgh. He was a pushover, and there we go, third badge. From Here, the story will be continued. I will begin writing this after I've beaten the next Gym Leader. I will also have screenshots taken so I can show you the emotional pain that I will go through (hopefully not as bad as the emotional pain of Alpharad having to release Mr. Bustdown). So, Here is a tribute to the fallen. boozz, the Male Ghost-Ground Combee. You will not be missed, and you shall return from whence you came. Phantipede, the pure Ghost Venipede. The team is a specter of it's former self without you. Drag King, the pure Dragon Gothita. I regret not being able to tell your foes "King Dragon sends his regards". Tremor, the pure ground Timburr. The earth will shake in your memory. I hope you will join me again on my journey of sadness, chaos, and vengeance.
  9. How would people feel if I posted an account of my Pokemon White Randomized Nuzlocke? I'm writing it down for no real reason, and if ya'll are interested, I show you how sad I am that all the ghosts are dying.

Alright, that's a thing on the list of things to do.

  10. I picked up Hades recently, maybe I'll write about it someday.

  11. For me, as a child, I really liked Ice Age 2:The Meltdown, and I think that it is the best Ice Age. However, the scene where the alligator thing's eye snaps open after 20 seconds of suspenseful music really freaked me out, and I think solidified my dislike of suspense in most forms of media. There's also a behind the scenes short with one of the first three, and there's a scene of Scrat, the prehistoric sabertooth squirrel, trapped in ice, and then it's eye snaps open and it screams, and I remember that scaring me too.
  12. Pretty ok with me. I'll bite. Main Character: Sweet Scents, Petals, and OH GOD IS THAT A DRAGON
