Man I haven't touched this in a while...sooooo bit of an update on me lately: my girlfriend and I have been together for a full year dating, I got demoted from site security director back to normal guard (drop in pay, have to work weekends, but a whole hell of a lot less stress), the girlfriend and I are becoming home owners (won't be living together until married, might I add), annnnnd come November 2nd during a Water Lantern Festival...I'm going to be proposing to her.

I have finished all but two Christmas cards to my guards, with small gifts to show my appreciation. Love being able to give back around this time of the year!

Returned from the Arkansas Comic Con...and I had the biggest blast there! Met the OG Pink Ranger as well as Bulk and Skull from my childhood nostalgia...plus got to meet Hawks, Shoto, Tokoyami and quite a number of other VAs!

So tomorrow marks the 3rd anniversary of my dad's passing. I've been feeling it since the beginning of April...kinda not looking forward to it due to my general emotions. Just in case: if I seem out of normal or if I seem distant or even if I end up lashing out for any reason...just know it's not intended.

...I have been tasked with something new by @yui and by Arceus it shall happen. An Emerald Nuzlocke race (sort of). A new age in the Chaos Files shall be happening soon...time to either die a terrible trainer or rise and be a Master!

Feel like I should clarify a bit. This isn't a speed race, since that would be hard to schedule and without scheduling the contest would be horribly biased in my favor. It's more of an endurance race.
We'll both be contributing to the Chaos Files blog with our respective randomized versions of Pokémon Emerald, and whoever can get the furthest in the game without getting a game over wins. To keep things spicy, both of our roms were randomized separately, meaning we have different starters, wild encounters, etc.
I also provided Sonic with a full changelog of what the randomizer did in this case, so please look forward to that in his first post in this fun little contest.

Surprisingly...my brother just picked himself up a YGO structure deck today and said he'd probably be back in the game and actually play now. Tossed me the Obelisk Structure deck...he wants me to try and make it better for him. Welp...if a Egyptian God Obelisk deck is what gets him back to playing...then I shall do my best to make it better!!

After some pain staking work...and a lot of help from @Kazooie (major thanks for all the help)...I've gotten none closer with Citra and Pokémon Y. Alas, perhaps I'm not the guy to try and do this at the moment. Perhaps the day will come when this shall happen, but as for now, I'm calling it quits on that Y Randomizer Nuzlocke.

So close...so close to possibly getting Pkmn Y working on Citra. Just gotta figure out from their support what's up with my issue. After that...well, another installment will happen.

Okay, curious question for those who do Pokémon Nuzlockes: does anyone know of any good 3DS emulators? Honestly, I want to try and do an XY randomized nuzlocke one day, so I'm just honestly curious if there's a good one.

I now have Disney+ and I've already binged season 1 of Mandalorian. Gotta work on season 2 and then start on WandaVision.

...I am noooooot okay. Ended up pulling a 16 hr shift because one of the other guards, famous for calling in a lot, called in. Annnnd with no one else answering the call to come to work...I got the honor of staying. Now I have to work my normal 4 PM to 12 AM shift...on about...5 hrs of sleep.
