  1. [DA PLOT] A convergence has happened. In the world of Pokemon, new creatures akin to them have appeared. They came from another world, here to live in ours. Some were instinct-driven, integrating themselves into ecosystems. Others had the minds of men, and could live among them easily. They were beings known as Duel Spirits, and they have come to stay. Today, they're spread across the world of Pokemon, but one region in particular - the K'nomi region - has the greatest concentration of these Duel Spirits. They were the first region in the world to allow Duel Spirits to be used in official Pokemon League battles and tournaments. Gym Leaders, Eite Four, even the Champion used them. The K'nomi region treated them like Pokemon, fellow humans, and of course, there is always those who want to use them as tools. Within this saga, different tales will be explored. Are you part of a detective agency that investigates problems caused by Duel Spirits throughout the region, helping those who cannot adapt to these newfangled creatures? Are you out to find Duel Spirits that are on the level of Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, believing that they might clash with the Legends of our world? Or are you out to fight Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, the Champion? Well, I basically took someone's old idea from 2010s YCM. I've been thinking of remolding it for a while. I guess I might have to think hard about some mechanics. For the time being, only Fusion will be an actual card game mechanic used here while I imagine others like Synchro Monsters, Link Monsters and the like are regular evolutions or even standalones. I suppose Synchro summoning mechanics could be integrated easily. I imagine most monsters will have evolutionary lines based on aspects of their lore. Once we get into accepting phase, a lot will be explained.
  2. OP Episode 3: Clouds The time had finally come. What time, the freshmen of Blue Yonder may have asked? Why, club recruitment week! That special five-day span near the beginning of the school year where the school clubs went all-out, putting up posters, booths, and more to try and reel in as many new members as they possibly could! And indeed, quite a bit of club efforts were meant to incentivize freshmen to join. With the school day for today having let out, now was the time for students to look for clubs to join, or for those already in clubs to try recruiting new members. Despite the excitement though, there seemed to be a dreary undercurrent running through campus; a small twinge of sadness in spite of everything else. Like move-in day a week and a half before, campus was crowded with stalls and activities. Instead of diversions meant to entertain families and new students though, each and every one was perfectly engineered to attract students so that they could sign away on that all-important piece of paper (and several of their precious free hours every week). For some it was subtle, others extravagant, but every single one had the heart and soul of its members poured into it. As was tradition.

  4. OOC Adventure 01: Bug Hunt BGM Greasy, oily rain began to fall as the Overdrive made its way along the dirty streets of Carousel, stopping only at checkpoints guarded by platoons of science soldiers as it sped its way deeper into the heart of the city. Seated rather uncomfortably in its crew cab, alongside two more of the helmeted stormtroopers, was a motley band of individuals, all of whom looked incredibly out of place inside a drab military vehicle. Three of them appeared to be human, at least, but between the power armor, angel wings, floating robot, and robed gremlin, the sheer absurdity of the anachronism on display was enough to get quizzical looks and stifled laughs from the troopers staffing the checkpoints. "New boots, most of them- never seen anyone from out-of-zone before." One of the two science soldiers in the overdrive spoke up, as if to apologize for any offense. "Most of us vets are either dead or wounded these days." "Must be getting real bad around here these days." One of the humans- the one wearing the power armor that took up far too much of the row of seats for anyone sitting alongside him to be comfortable, replied. "We're losing ground every day now. A few more blocks every week. All we can do is slow them down." the other one chimed in as they passed by the hulked remains of a blood soaked t-34 oni tank. "And yet you guys still have money enough to pay us?" The floating robot beeped with what passed for an agitated tone, though whether this was to punctuate what the guy in power armor was saying, or to yell at him for being rude, the trooper couldn't tell. "There's funding squared away for you, no need to worry." "Sorry. Didn't mean to sound greedy. Truth be told, if expenses didn't come with the territory, I'd be doing this sort of work pro-bono. Though..... my friends here might not feel the same way." He shot a glance in the direction of his compatriots, then looked back out the window. "So your boss, this Victor guy, he's at city hall?" "Yeah. City hall's been our headquarters since the bugs overran the military district. Once we get there he'll have a full briefing for you guys." "Sure you can handle it? You folks are in for a helluva fight." The other one spoke up again. Before anyone could respond, however, the overdrive stopped short, and the driver got on the intercom. "Checkpoint 7-b's empty. I don't like the looks of this." "Alternate routes, Chip?" "None that won't take us through a bug zone. I've got the chaingun revved up, but I think it'd be best if you make sure the block's clear before we keep going. Last thing we need is for a Doom Dozer to unburrow under us while we're transporting the cargo." "Right." The trooper opened the door, then turned back around to his passengers. "We'll be able to get moving again sooner if you five give us a hand. Might as well stretch your legs and help us clear the block." The block- what was once a bustling city street, was now piled high with rubble and discarded trash. There had been combat here before, and the remnants of those fights littered the road all around the vacant checkpoint. Out of view, there were several alleyways where enemies could be hiding, and there was no discounting the possibility that there could be hostiles inside the buildings or even underneath their feet. It wasn't a matter of if the checkpoint had been compromised- that was already apparent. Rather, it was whether or not the bugs were still here, and whether the overdrive could safely move through the area with the current level of activity that the group was trying to ascertain. "If you're feelin' lazy, you can stay and guard the overdrive. That chaingun can't reach the rear or the sides, after all." The other trooper added as he grabbed his rifle. "Scoop, Chang, make sure you get back here in one piece." Chip called over from inside the cab. "We'll be back in a jiff." Chang, the first trooper to speak, replied. "Scoop, you take the left, I'll take the right." "Roger that. Any of you hero types feel like takin' a walk, come with me."

  6. Hiya, folks! Name's TCgamerboy2002, TC for short. I'm more into Yu-Gi-Oh! person than any other card game. I'm a gamer by trait, mostly console games, but I have dabbled into PC games on occasion. I've played Yu-Gi-Oh! log ago, but I stopped playing because the rules started getting complicated, what with the synchros and the xyz's, and whatnot. Recently, my bro started marathoning Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters on Netflix and I started getting re-interested in the games again, especially with monsters that are more suitable to me nowadays. I'm more of an imagineer as I have so many ideas, may it be story or characters. So I figured maybe I should take a shot at this Card Maker to see what I can make with it. I might make an archetype of my own someday, but for now, I can only talk about ideas. I really hope to have a good time here. ?
