Just one of the usual quizzes from the OCG twitter.

Guess the name of this bird that is visibly confused at Level stars.

Source: OCG Twitter.

https://ygorganization.com/dane-guess-the-name-of-the-bird/

Figured I would post it here since there is no effect to discuss and would be fun to try to guess the name. Guessing it involves something like Starling.

I always find it fun when they use various YGO things in the art, and making Level Stars into berries is a fun idea. Also, does it have two heads, or is that suppose to be it moving super fast? Kind of weird to depict that in a card art, but yeah. Don't know what name it could have Star Picker maybe?

Pretty sure it's just moving it's head round fast hence it looks confused

Maybe even though it doesnt look like a robin it could be one (Rounding Robin?)? Starling is probably more likely though i'd want alliteration of some sort and i dont know what other word that starts with S would go with Starling?
Stellar Starling? :v

Following in the same idea as Spinny's suggestion, perhaps Starry Starling? That's what I thought when I first saw it at least.

It's been revealed.

DwYVprvVsAEnpy0.jpg?resize=300%2C211&ssl

DANE-JP024 星向鳥 Hoshimukudori (Which Starling)
Level 4 WIND Winged Beast Effect Monster
ATK 1000
DEF 1500
(1) This card gains an effect based on your Main Monster Zone it is in.
• Leftmost: Increase its Level by 4.
• Rightmost: Increase its Level by 3.
• Center: Increase its Level by 2.
• Others: Increase its Level by 1.

Note: Its name is a pun on the Japanese term for the common Starling. Its name means literally “Bird facing Stars”, but we went with “Which Starling” to make clear its “Which star(fruit) to pick” art.

Well, the name is strange, not sure what the TCG will do with it, but anyway, hurray another zone dependent monster! It's a fun thing to do, and this seems like it could be pretty useful for high Xyz Decks like Photons or Decks with a lot of different Levels like Synchro Decks.

Are we allowed to comment here? Because I want to state the Orcust Trap looks crazy good.
The Guardragon Fusion Spell got my attention too, as a kind of "Miracle Link Fusion".
I find Puzzomino interesting. Seems semi-generic enough and the effect can be used to pop floaters and/or get rid of opposing threats. If only it was a Quick Effect :v

Wee Witch's Apprentice art is always welcomed.
Too bad the card seems situational. Should have been at least Quick-Play.

EDIT:

Mortschlag could be a decent Equip to run for Isolde.
Stand In ought to be fun in mirror matches xD
Mashoudou looks potentially relevant, could be great when going second. IDK. Also, I don't recognize the characters in the artwork at the moment. Anyone does?

I believe the singular monster in the bg is Spellstone Soreror Karood. Not sure on the other two though.

Also can I say, I love the name of Loud cloud.

New ghost girl handtrap is a bunch of nothing.  Guess that makes its name appropriate, huh?

That dolphin... the fact it doesn't banish itself or anything is interesting.  Free materi-- oh God, it's just going to be used for Rhongo-Bongo plays, isn't it?

Orcustrated Climax. Ahem.  So... lemme get this straight.  The picture shows the brother climaxing by spearing an evil reanimation of his dead sister.  Have I got that right?  Jokes aside, a good Orcust spell/trap is exactly what the deck needed.  Galatea is the core of the deck, but it is so easy to run out of stuff to search out with her effect.  The trap card drastically increases the splashability of the deck by giving Orcust something to do besides spin their wheels during the opponent's turn.  The GY effect's downside shouldn't really matter; you can activate it during your opponent's turn to circumvent it entirely.  Snapesnatch turbo, anyone?

Welp, Assault Sniper makes Hyper Psychic Blaster summonable and drastically increases the chances of opening an Assault Mode play (being searchable by Tenki and all).  With it restricting things to only Synchros for the rest of the turn, I'm wondering if it's possible to splash the Assault Mode stuff in a deck.  The only hard brick would be drawing the AM monster itself, right?

Handy Gallop is interesting, but as a battle removal option, I think Eater of Millions covers it better.  On the other hand... Crusadia OTK :classic_tongue:

Strain of the Lost Dragon is just silly.  I love it, but I doubt it will get anywhere unless we end up getting a deck that needs to recycle the same effect over and over in one turn, so... I dunno.  Maybe it's supposed to act as hand trap discouragement?

The equip spell... That's the same guy as on Bashing Shield, right?  Like how the Normal Summon/Set flavor carries over.  It is an interesting card as well.  Personally, I'm just happy to see another card that should allow "Fairy Tail - Rella" to beat over pretty much anything.

I guess Lair of Darkness.dek got a new tool with Stand In.

That field spell tho... That's certainly something.  Going second, it's a bit of a risk to leave yourself open, but having no monsters is pretty difficult for your opponent to match if they've already put up a board.  Even if you're going for establishing your own board, there's a lot of potential for it.  Definitely one of the better cards in the set.

I skipped the post withe Noisy Serpent. I like to see more Reptiles. It being a WATER but working with FIRE and WIND is rather amusing. At least it doesn't look as awkward as Fire & Ice Dragon and Desert Twister, although wish it had their same stats for a theme consistency.

Assault Sniper seems pretty interesting, acting as a lonefire bossom for Assault Modes ( While it cannot summon the Assault Mode monsters, it can summon the support cards for it, namely Pyschic Reflector ). Makes summoning Stardust Assault Mode much more consistent now. Being Beast-Warrior gives it that good Tenki synergy as well. An all around good card IMO.
