"Greetings, curious reader! I am the one simply known as The Thanaturgist, though if it please you, you may refer to me instead as The Necromancer. Throughout my countless years and multiple lifetimes traveling this world, I have come across a great many beasts, creatures, and species of interest. From the humble Huck with bounty of beautiful down, to the terrifying Extinction Viper which brings with it only death and havoc, I wish to share with you some of what has been discovered. In the following pages, you will learn the appearances, habitats, diets, behaviors, and more which I have gathered with first-hand experience, from locals, from legends, or a mix of all. Accompanying this information, you will find a local artist's depiction of the being, else my own less skillful take at re-creation. Also note that, due to the difficulties and dangers imposed when researching some of these specimens, certain information may be sparse or incomplete. Please excuse the inconsistency."
