[OoC] [PG-16] [Not Accepting / Started] Danganronpa

Recommended Posts

Mr./Ms. ----

You have been scouted for your talent to attend our school.

As a result, you have been selected and we invite you to join us as the Ultimate ----

Included is an orientation guide for Hope's Peak Academy.

That’s what the acceptance letter said. Sixteen students received this letter, each one skilled at something to the point where they were the best in the world. Sixteen students, each one scouted individually by the prestigious school. There’s no reason that anyone would decline this offer, after all, it’s said that anyone who graduates from Hope’s Peak Academy has their future made.

And lucky you, you’re one of those sixteen students.

Teenagers from around the world will be coming to attend Hope's Peak Academy, and soon, you'll be meeting with the other fifteen students that make up the class. You'll make friends, you'll overcome challenges, and you'll hone your talents to a point where you'll be set for life!

Pwuhuhu…

CG7iN2k.png

Of course, not all sixteen students will come from this lousy place! That would be, like, totally boring!

I’ll be accepting a number of lucky students from this delightful place for an exchange program! Maybe four... Or five, who knows?

Well, not really an exchange… You’re just coming to this prestigious academy! Think of it as more of a kidnapping. Or a hostage situation!

pUzobe7.png

But don’t worry, it’ll be a ton of fun, everyone will have a good chance to learn and grow!

Rules

Spoiler

All Site and RP Section rules apply, obviously. Advance Clause is a requirement.

This RP is PG-16. Being Danganronpa related, there's... A lotta death. People will die, sadness will happen. It's part of the territory.

As mentioned, this is limited acceptance, I'm only going to be accepting, at most, four applications in the RP.

Host has final say! Obviously I'll try to be as fair about this as possible, but if something isn't going to work, I will make that known.

This might be a little awkward, but... I would appreciate it if you let me know what you wanted your Ultimate Ability to be before you started working on your character. You can post it here, or you can PM it if you would rather it not be generally known, but the big reason is because I want to avoid it clashing with the other characters I've already made.

F.A.Q.

Spoiler

What is Hope's Peak Academy?
Put simply, Hope's Peak is the most prestigious school in existance. They only accept High Schoolers who are the best at what they do, also known as Ultimates.

Ultimates are often considered above normal people, both by themselves and by the Hope's Peak Staff. Most teachers and shareholders are people who had Ultimate Titles themselves, and thus, expect a lot from the students.

That said, not every student or staff member views themselves like this, and a lot of normal people resent that view...

Do all the Ultimates know who will be there?

No. What they do know, for sure, is the number of students. Sixteen.

The only other lead they have is the online message boards dedicated to Ultimates. Through mostly anomynous sources and the occasional whistleblower from Hope's Peak, rumors begin to start about who is attending the Academy.

False rumors exist, so your character might've heard that the Ultimate Baseball Star was attending! But... That isn't necessarily true. If you want to include gossip in your character's biography, or have them know about a particular student for some reason, you're more than welcome to PM me and we can discuss setting up some way for them to have heard.

How old are the Ultimates?

Generally, the only real 'rule' is that they have to be High School aged. It tends to not be an important factor in the games, so I didn't include it in the applications for this reason. However, if you feel it's important for the character, feel free to include their age. However, don't include a Birth YEAR. This is mostly because establish year dates is a pain in the ass.

All of the students, regardless of their ages, are First Year Students at Hope's Peak Acadamy.

How is this RP going to be formatted?

This RP, like Danganronpa itself, is going to be split into two main sections.

The first is Daily Life. In this, students will spend time with each other, going about their lives in their new school enviroment and learn more about each other and hopefully themselves. This is the 'bulk' of the RP, technically, but it isn't the biggest aspect of it. During this, at some point, a student will kill another. And from there, that transitions to the next part...

The Deadly Life. After a murder has occured, the students will be alerted and an investigation will take place. Players will collect evidence, some public knowledge, and some that only they may know about. This leads to the big aspect of the RP, the Class Trial, which will be talked more in depth during the RP itself.

The Transfer Ultimates

The E-Handbook

Spoiler

The E-Handbook is a vital part of the Hope's Peak Academy Student's life! The mechanical marvel cannot be destroyed or tampered with, according to Monokuma.

The first thing one sees when turning on the E-Handbook is their name, first and last, no middle names. This happens every time the E-Handbook is booted up, and cannot be skipped.

After that, there are a number of different tabs...

School Regulations

Spoiler

Rule #1

Students may reside only within the school. Leaving campus is an unacceptable use of time.

Rule #2

Nighttime begins at 10 PM and ends at 7AM. Some doors lock during nighttime, so don't get caught behind them!

Rule #3

Napping and sleeping outside the Dorm Rooms is strictly prohibited! It will be seen as sleeping in class and properly punished.

Rule #4

Violence against Headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited! Along with this, breaking any security cameras or monitors is also prohibited and will be punished accordingly.

Rule #5

With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Hope's Peak Academy without breaking rules.

Rule #6

Anyone who kills a fellow student and becomes "blackened" will graduate, unless they are discovered.

Rule #7

Additional regulations can be added as seen fit by the Headmaster.

Truth Bullets

This tab is currently grayed out, and clicking on it doesn't seem to do anything? How strange.

Student Profiles

Inside this page are the basic profiles of the students you're with. Name, Talent, Height, Weight, and their basic Likes/Dislikes are all shown, but the most noticeable thing about this page is the Memo Tab.

It seems like the E-Handbook touch screen allows you to use the Memo Page to make notes about your fellow students, how nice!

Other Functions

This tab is also grayed out and only has a Question Mark to detonate what it is. For the moment though, it does nothing.

Map of Hope's Peak Academy

Spoiler

Main Building First Floor

Spoiler

dYvycSR.png

A Classroom

It's a standard classroom! There are desks, a blackboard, a desk for the teacher. It's all very standard, though the blackboard has an image of Monokuma's eyes drawn on it. As with every room, there's a monitor and a security camera.

Ultimate Bird Keeper's Lab

The first thing one notices when entering this room is that the doorway is decorated with images of feathers, each one falling from the 'sky' of the door. The walls on either side of the door are painted a light blue color, mimicking the look of the sky on a sunny day with just a few clouds thrown in.

Inside of the room, people area greeted by the sounds of chirping, noises of birds feeding, and in some cases fluttering around. The room is much more spacious that one would assume before entering it, and there's an assortment of different cages and items used for caring of the winged creatures.

There's a single large table in the middle of the room, equipped with a variety of perches for the birds, and the walls of the room are littered with various food trays and bird toys, making it clear that this room was designed with them in mind. What looks like a large window is completely shut out, metal shutter-like blades crossing them from the outside, keeping the students from seeing out the window.

One section of the room is sectioned off from the rest, a makeshift wall in place to keep the birds from getting into it, that functions as a small office, complete with file cabinets and a small desk for records to be kept at.

Decoration is sparse, thanks to the sheer amount of birds that likely means it wouldn't last.

Ultimate Proofreader's Lab

The door here wasn't as ornate as some of the others. it was still large, but there was a single marking on it and that was a plate that said "Library".

The door opened up to reveal what was a massive room, the walls lined with bookshelves on one side, with rows and rows of different books of all sorts of matters. The dark bookshelves were clearly high quality and sturdy, not having to risk any structural integrity for the sake of appearances.

The other side containing a large array of various chairs with plush cushions for maximum comfort, desks that were more practical for actual work but with padded chairs to give some level of comfort, and most interesting of all... Filing cabinets. The cabinets all had labels on them, easy to read labels of various genres, along with letters. Everything was meticulously organized to be the epitome of functional.

Like other rooms, the windows here were all shuttered shut, keeping the students from getting a clear look at the outside.

Ultimate Host(ess?)'s Lab

The door to this room was surprisingly... Normal. It had the air of the front door of a friend's home, something that anyone could see and feel at ease, as if they were perfectly welcome and invited to be there...

And going inside, the scene only unfolded. The perfect room for hosting parties was right in front of anyone who entered, tables for keeping snacks, gifts, or to pull out for a proper sit down meal, it was clearly a perfect place for the Ultimate Host(ess) to have their parties! The room has a massive walk in closet with all the supplies that one needs to host the perfect party, including large carts to wheel out food, decorations of practically any occasion, cleaning supplies and more! If you can think of it, it's probably there for those in need.

The room itself had multiple levels to it, too! The first level was a fairly standard dining room, but not far was a dance floor that could be repurposed into any number of configurations, along with an easy to use stereo for good measure. Another part of the room had a set of couches, chairs, and small coffee tables all arranged near a television set, complete with an array of gaming systems suitable for the most heated of tournaments.

The windows of the room were similarly boarded up on the outside with those metal shutters that were in the other rooms.

Student Dorms First Floor

Spoiler

iiSnMG3.png

Dorms
The dorm rooms come equipped with everything a student needs to be comfortable in the evenings. The beds are the highest quality, there's plenty of storage space between shelves, a closet, and other such things. The students are free to redecorate the rooms at their leisure, to make it more personalized and comfortable for them.

Each dorm also comes complete with a full bathroom, though at 10 PM, the water shuts off for the night.

Dining Hall and Kitchen

The cafeteria is exactly what one would expect from the academy, boasting the highest quality tables and most comfortable seats possible, all while remaining extremely easy to clean.

The kitchen is state of the art with cutting edge equipment and somehow, a steady supply of fresh ingredients. While more exotic things might not be accessible, there are a wide variety of different meal components that students would very rarely, if ever, have to repeat a meal in a week, unless they chose to do so themselves obviously.

Supply Room
It's a supply room. It has a lot of non-perishable snacks and things that wouldn't exactly need to be stored in the main kitchen. Along with that, plenty of school supply things, and tools that might be useful for day-to-day activities.

If there's something in particular you're hoping to find but aren't sure if it would be appropriate to find here, feel free to contact me and ask about it!

Laundry Room

It's a laundry room. There are eight different washing machines and eight different driers, along with all the other machines, irons and boards, all good for taking care of dirty laundry.

???

This room is locked tight. The door doesn't seem to open despite the best attempts to open it. At the very least, the students can see that the door is very large and ornate, with carvings of marble pillars embedded in the design.

Ultimate Storm Chaser

Spoiler

SHQlDVk.jpg
"Honestly? Mother Nature is scary as hell. That's why I love her when she's angry."

Name: Aya Kuroi
Gender: Female
Ultimate Talent: Ultimate Storm Chaser
Birthday: June 18th

Appearance:

Spoiler

Uc2ZKGn.jpg

Standing at 5'5" and weighing 141 pounds, Aya is a remarkably normal-looking girl for the most part. Short dark hair hangs around her head, and her body features range from normal to lackluster. Most of the abnormalities with Aya's appearance have to do with her skin. She's a rather tanned girl, being someone who spends most of her free time outdoors. More notable, however, is a large lichtenberg scar on the right side of Aya's body. This scar starts on her face, just next to her eye, then passes by her ear before heading down across her neck and shoulder, finally sprawling out across most the length of her arm.

Although she'll typically wear a yellow rain jacket above her clothes, Aya did take care to pack other articles of rain gear for if she gets to go storm chasing somewhere near Hope's Peak. And her trusty camera, of course.

Personality:

Spoiler

As one might expect from the Ultimate Storm Chaser, Aya is a daredevil, plain and simple. She lives for the thrill of danger, and combined with her outdoorsy nature, storm chasing was naturally going to be right up her alley. Watching the full wrath of nature awakens a deep passion in Aya's heart that nothing else can ever hope to match. While other forms of danger get her excited too, she finds that there's no source of danger quite as thrilling as Mother Nature herself. While she doesn't mind waiting for her next fix of danger, Aya can get impatient if she's left hanging for too long, or even worse, if the wait and build-up was for nothing. As a fortunate side-effect of this, Aya is exceptionally good at keeping promises and is pretty punctual, since she understands that being left hanging sucks. Although she's interested in her personal enjoyment first and foremost, Aya will seldom hesitate to back someone up if they need it for the same reason.

She isn't the life of the party by any means, but Aya tries to get along well with others and avoid trouble. She'll likely start the conversation herself too, as Aya isn't much for waiting outside of her storm chasing hobby. Due to a brain injury she sustained once from a lightning strike, Aya may also have random periods of time where her brain simply doesn't retain any new information. To compensate for these "blank spots", Aya makes a point to take notes about her surroundings often. It's not unheard of for her to ask the same question more than once in a short span of time because of this,

Even before being dubbed the Ultimate Storm Chaser, Aya took a distinct amount of pride in her work. It was her childhood dream, so of course she's more than happy to recall her tales from the storms she's chased. This hobby is her greatest passion and her life, and she can't imagine a life lived without it. She has noted, however, that it's become a rather lonely job in the last couple of years, and perhaps because of it, she's quick to form emotional bonds with others, and values those bonds greatly.

Biography:

Spoiler

Depending on who within the storm chasing community you ask, Aya is either a fearless legend, a relentless thrill-seeker, or a maniac with a death wish. Her parents were storm chasers, Aya loved the outdoors, and much of her family were thrill-seekers in their own way, so the fact that she took to the hobby is hardly a surprise. While most children cowered under their blankets during a thunderstorm, a young Aya was always rushing outside for them, eager to witness everything first-hand. While this gave her some bumps and bruises growing up, most notably when she was struck by lightning on her fifteenth birthday, Aya went on to become nothing short of a legend in the storm chaser community. There were a few reasons for this.

Most notoriously, Aya was always willing to rush into the heart of the storm, eager to take shots that even most veterans with decades under their belts would get nervous about. Because Aya was willing to get footage that everyone else had too much regard for their life to film, she was able to get footage that no other storm chaser had available. Which meant that - on top of being the only source for some footage, prompting a considerable following - she was able to sell her one-of-a-kind records to any interested party for whatever she deemed fair. With profit came better equipment, which meant better records which led to further profit. While she certainly wasn't the most wealthy storm chaser, as most of her profits went directly into her family, Aya was by far the most successful. So far ahead of other top storm chasers was Aya in fact, that she was dubbed by Hope's Peak Academy as the Ultimate Storm Chaser, an update which sparked some ire from older veterans due to her young age.

Whether they liked it or not however, Aya had them beat, simply due to her lack of fear and what seemed like zero concern on if she lived or died in a storm. Upon graduating from the academy, Aya intends to continue pursuing her hobbies, same as usual. In fact, the only reason she's attending at all is because her family insisted.

Ultimate Surfer

Spoiler

dHp6sqm.png
"Surf's up, brah!"

Name: Kai Reeves
Gender: Male
Ultimate Talent: Ultimate Surfer
Birthday: June 21st

Appearance

Spoiler

Nv6tbPI.png

Height: 5'9"

Weight: 159 lbs

When he's not wearing just trunks, he usually walks around with plain white shorts and a yellow tank top with a sun printed on the back.

Personality

Spoiler

Kai is an adamant thrill seeker, always looking for something exciting to do. He is very much a live in the moment type of person, not too concerned with the future nor the past. Alongside his thrill seeking ways, Kai does not like being told what to do, nor does he really like telling people what to do. According to him, everyone should have some level of freedom to do as they please, and the more freedom the better.

While he himself loves excitement, Kai as a person is rather laid back, and a bit of an air head. Despite his easygoing attitude, Kai is a hard worker, believing that if you are going to do something you should do it right. He can also be rather headstrong at times, and will stick with the rather rash decisions he makes.

Kai is a tad overconfident about himself, although he is not one to brag about it. Alongside his ego, Kai gets pretty competitive in the friendly competition sort of way. He is also very active, and has a strong sense of keeping his body in shape.

Biography

Spoiler

Kai's life had been rather easy going for the most part. He was born in Hawaii as the youngest of 3 siblings, a brother names Maoi and a sister name Noe. His mother is a Japanese entrepreneur who traveled a lot, while his father owns a local surf shop who didn't. Needless to say, Kai was rather well off monetarily, although calling him "rich" would be a bit of an overstatement. Kai never really cared about having all that much money, as long as he had enough to pursue his rather reckless aspirations, much to the dismay of his overprotective sister and to the amusement of his slacker brother.

As one would imagine, it didn't take all too long for Kai to get into the sport of surfing, even spending time in the sea with his father at a very young age. While Kai wasn't the best around at first, he spent a lot of time practicing the art of surfing, eventually getting pretty good at it. He even became a sort of local legend at his school and the beach. Word of his feats apparently got around, as he was shortly invited to Hope's Peak Academy. The title they had given him was The Ultimate Surfer, a title that made Kai's eyes light up.

It didn't take much convincing to get the rest of his family to agree to send him off to Hope's Peak Academy. Kai wasn't sure what to make of his new life - he had never heard about Hope's Peak Academy, although he was told that it was a rather prestigious place. The unknown aspect of this did not deter the young surfer - in fact, it only made him more excited to tackle the Academy head on. He was ready for all of the excitement that would come!

So, we're doing this again! For those of you who aren't involved but want to be, this is a Danganronpa based RP that will, in fact, be revamped. The old RP died with the transition to Neo New, but the players have expressed interest in trying again with potentially new characters. In that vein, I'm opening it back up to people who are interested in throwing themselves into it as well.

Name: Devin Kismet

Gender: yes

Ultimate Talent: Ultimate Host(ess)

Birthday: January 9th

Appearance:

original_drawn_by_haizome_senri__sample-

Standing at 5'5", Devin is a bit taller than the average female, yet shorter than the average male. On top of this, Devin is rather light and thin, which makes their androgynous appearance and yes gender all the more confusing to most people. Well manicured hands and feet, blemish-free skin, and expressive eyes complete the look, leading to men and women alike falling for the Ultimate Host(ess).

Personality

Feminine. Hot blooded. Smiley. Extroverted. Playful. Naughty. Flirty. Friendly. All of these words and more can describe Devin. The Ultimate Host(ess) is always up for creating and throwing a party, even if they have to do all of the work to get it together. Or, on a smaller level, just doing something to make someone's day a little brighter! They feed off of the energy that comes from being together with others, and it's extremely rare to find Devin not bothering or helping someone out.

That said, Devin's interpersonal intelligence may be high, but Devin barely scrapes by in school. What use are book smarts when you wanna party all day? Much more useful to know what other people want and how to satisfy that desire.

Biography:

From the first time Devin was invited to someone else's birthday party, all Devin could dream of was planning a bigger, better one! Their birthday wasn't the next one in line, but that was okay, Devin would just latch onto the next one they could! Of course, their ideas at that time were far too over the top and childish, but it was just a matter of time. By middle school, a Devin party was the place to be, be it for a birthday, wedding, mitzvah, or whatever other occasion you can imagine. Granted, Devin was called a bad influence by parents for their lack of success in school and the ambiguous way they presented themselves, but que sera sera.

Come high school, Devin had already become a name known across the internet, much like their fellow Ultimates. They had hoped to get into Hope's Peak Academy, if only because they heard that it focused more on talents than academics. And, what do you know, the invitation came! Devin's reputation preceded them, and the party animal was off. After all, if there was one thing Devin did know... It was how to make dull things fun.

Ultimate Auteur

Spoiler

TipnpSK.jpg

“More intensity, okay? Now, we’ve got the lights, we’ve got the camera, so let’s give it all we’ve got!”

Name: Hannah Shane Elliot

Gender: Female

Ultimate Talent: Ultimate Director Filmmaker Auteur

Birthday: April 14th

Appearance:

Spoiler

dGMXsQ7.jpg

Counter to her pseudo-film fest star image, Hannah dresses rather conservatively most of the time. Even for the larger festivals with much more press, where one would be expected let a professional design one’s outfit, she’d much rather draw as little attention to herself, preferring to let her films speak for her character more than anything else. It helps that she’s a little shorter and a little skinnier than most girls her age, too.

This is a dress philosophy that follows Hannah to her school life as well. If there’s a uniform, Hannah prefers that with no frills save maybe a clapperboard pin on her lapel. If there isn’t, well, why ruin a comfortable aesthetic by dressing differently?

Biography:

Spoiler

“You haven’t heard of me? That’s kind of weird…”

It started, of course, with whispers. Film festivals all over the world began to receive odd, avante-garde short films from a single anonymous source: “<3”. One such submission, Tongues -- named apparently for having overlapping audio tracks containing the same dialog in every known language -- caused quite a stir in Cannes when it won the Palme d'Or du court métrage and the committee could find nobody to present the award to. Another film, Fire, included special projectionist instructions to take a match to the film upon its completion, nearly destroying an entire theater at Sundance. And yet, those who did see the film raved, even referencing its impermanence as the final coup de grâce with which this anonymous director auteur delivered their message.

There were rejections as well, of course. Those curating these festivals frequently cited their gimmickiness and impracticality. Tongues, for example, required special headsets that had to be tuned to specific frequencies, and Fire, well, one can only imagine. But despite all the controversy, one thing was for certain: People wanted to know who was behind these films, and what they were making next.

The film Vision premiered at Venice International Film Festival and was <3’s first feature-length effort. Shot in 3D -- the old-school 3D with red-and-blue glasses -- the film two entirely separate stories depending on which half of the glasses you looked through The sound was arranged so that sometimes strangers on complete opposite ends of the earth would have conversations with each other, though sometimes they would garble each other’s thoughts. All this was to serve a greater whole: a film about the interconnectivity of all things.

To those who could sit through the archaic technology that (surely purposefully, right?) failed throughout the film, Vision was a triumph. As soon as the credits began to roll, those still in the audience leapt to their feet, giving applause to a director they would never know.

Then a teenage girl walked onto the stage.

Some recognized her as a recurring character in the “blue half” of Vision. “A clue!” these people whispered. “She could lead us to the director!”

The girl requested a microphone. “My name is Hannah Elliot,” she said. “I created this film, as well as Tongues, Fire, and so many others like them. As proof, I have brought with me my personal copy of Fire, which, if the organizers permit, I would like to screen now.”

Of course they permitted it. At the end, the audience watched in rapt attention as the girl rewound the film into its canister, took out a match, and just as at Sundance, set the film alight (fortunately somebody was ready with an extinguisher this time). Hannah turned to her audience. “I will not be taking questions at this time. I did, however, grow tired of anonymity just as I’m sure you all got tired of seeing that meaningless heart without a name to attach to it. You’ll be seeing more of me soon, though. I can promise you that.”

Personality:

Spoiler

“‘Director’ describes too little and ‘filmmaker’ is beneath me. Please, call me an ‘auteur’.”

Hannah doesn’t personally tend to ascribe one-word definitions to herself, but here are a few her contemporaries and critics have used to describe her: “Intelligent”, “Energetic”, and “Dramatic”. Of course, the number one adjective is “Pretentious”, and in fact, it’s the only adjective Hannah will readily agree with. She’s very aware of her tendency to find thrills in the lesser-known; when she’s the only one in a room who’s aware of something, well, that’s something that makes her better than everyone else in the room. But even then, when somebody does share her freakish obsession for the obscure, who knows exactly what she’s talking about, well, that’s just reason for celebration, now, isn’t it?

Another flair Hannah has (perhaps obviously?) is for the dramatic. She’s prone to distorting the truth all the way up to “harmless white lies” in the hopes of turning her reality into a better story later. She also makes the contradictory claim when confronted that such drama is “beneath her.” Of course she wouldn’t lie about something so trivial. Of course she wouldn’t. Her objective here is to distract from the fact that despite all her pretentions, she’s closer to a stereotypical teenager than she’d like to admit.

What does this mean? Well, she’s clique-y, for one, definitely preferring groups she’s already established in or where people already know her. She’s not great at off-the-cuff introductions. It also means sometimes her dramatic flair turns in on itself. In imagining scenarios, sometimes -- not often, but sometimes, especially when she’s stressed -- Hannah will fixate on the worst-possible ones she can imagine, even when better alternatives are so much more likely.

To interact with Hannah is to be constantly judged in some way, whether because of your lack of knowledge, because she’s probing for the best way to inject a little spice into her life, or because, well, that’s just kind of what she does. She’s not overtly hostile to those who don’t meet her standards, but she will enjoy getting a little bit more fun out of those she deems beneath her.

Miscellaneous Information:

  • Hannah’s favorite film of all time is François Truffaut’s The 400 Blows, a film which, I mean anybody who’s anybody has heard of.
  • Her favorite film of 2018 was Madeline’s Madeline, which was directed by Josephine Decker. You probably haven’t heard of it, but you can totally watch the trailer here if you want to, you know, broaden your horizons or whatever.

Man, this is gonna be... Interesting, compared to the last one. We've got a cast of hotheads already, and with Rep's character in development, things are gonna get weirder I'm sure.

@Yui

Spoiler

Interesting! It's a big change of pace from Hinoka, and that's not a bad thing at all. The fact that she might wind up going a bit stir crazy inside of the school could certainly be a nice conflict for her character, absolutely. I can't spot anything that seems out of place and needs to be changed...

And from a relatively selfish point of view, I really like the memory lapse issue that results in her note taking. During an environment like a killing game, that'll make her an asset in her notes might create a log of information for the group at times and help them remember important details, just something that I can easily see working into Truth Bullets for the trials and stuff.

I like her a lot. She's a very active female cast member, so I think I know who's spot she'll be taking over. If there's any concerns you have about her, I'm happy to listen to them, cause she looks very solid to me.

@radio414

Spoiler

So, first things first...

Hope's Peak chooses the titles for the Students, they don't pick them on their own! Because of this, I'm curious on how you would rather do Hannah's title, do you want it to be official Ultimate Auteur... Or do you want it to be Ultimate Director and she introduces herself as the Ultimate Auteur to make it sound better?

If the character wants to get across an air of pretentiousness, it could help if the official title is something a bit more down to Earth, but if you prefer to be bigger natural, then either one works and I just like to be sure!

As for the character herself, I like her a lot, definitely a solid addition to the cast! I think she can work very well with a wide variety of characters, especially with the idea that she's more like a typical teenager than she would like to admit, I think her interactions with the other Ultimates will be fairly unique, given her conflict in herself as well. Very solid, if you make any more changes, let me know, but there's nothing that drastically needs to be changed here.

@Black

Spoiler

This is a very you character, I'm not the least bit surprised with the direction this one took. She's got all the energy of Xander without the mask, and it'll be fun to see how she interacts with some of the cast!

There's nothing here that really concerns me, and the social extroverts are just as important as the introverts in Danganronpa, so I have hopes that this character will be able to get some fun things happening through the course of the RP. They're very straightforward at the moment, which is not a bad thing at all, but I don't have a lot to say about her right now.

Once Rep's character gets posted, he'll get his own review too, for now though that's the basic thoughts of looking through them! I really do like each of them, there's no worries about that, and I think it'll help me put together the final cast of NPC's fairly well. If there's anyone else interested in throwing themselves in, please post and let me know!

Ultimate Clown

Spoiler

OiXtDhG.png
"I love white boards. They're remarkable!"

Name: Cherie Martin
Gender: Female
Ultimate Talent: Ultimate Clown
Birthday: April 10th

Appearance

Spoiler

ZZgp0ce.png

Height: 5'3"

Weight: 122 lbs

She usually walks around with face-paint, but not always.

Personality

Spoiler
Cherie is an energetic girl, always trying to lift the spirit of those around her. She loves jokes and fun, harmless pranks - almost too much, as sometimes she'll try to joke around when it simply isn't an appropriate time. She is a hopeful girl, always looking at the positives of life even when things are dire. While making her a nice and inspiring girl, it also makes her very gullible and tends to overlook some things. While she might overlook things, and is also rather clumsy, she is not dumb - in fact, she can think very quickly on her feet. After all, she needs the sharpest of wit to give the punniest of puns.

While on the surface it seems like nothing can put her down, the truth is Cherie is a very emotional vulnerable individual. She has a bad tenancy to bottle up her emotions in order to keep or make the vibe around her happy. She's also not very honest with herself or others when it comes to her emotions, pushing others away by distracting people with her antics and happy facade.

Biography

Spoiler
Cherie's goal in life as far as she could remember was to make the people around her laugh. Born in France, Cherie and her parents have traveled many places around the globe. Her mother, a Japanese business women, was a successful business women, while her father was a French mime. As a kid, Cherie had always loved going with her parents to the circus. Her favorite part of the show was always the clowns, with their clown shenanigans and funny costumes. She loved the clowns so much that at times, with the help of her fun-loving father, she would dress up as them with face-paint and everything and put on shows for her stuffed animals.

Things were pretty good for Cherie, having a few long distance friendships she keeps online. However, things went downhill very quickly when her father was ran over one fateful night by a drunkard. This was devastating to both her and her mother, both of which coped with the pain in different ways. Her mother essentially shut herself out, focusing harder and harder on her work and becoming that much more distant. Cherie, meanwhile, had clowns to keep her spirits high. She would spend a lot of time watching clown performances, thinking up of awful puns and studying them. While she always had the reputation of the class clown, things only got more ridiculous after the incident - to the point where she'd bring her clown make-up on sometimes in class.

Her clowning around at inopportune times, while hilarious, did get her in trouble from time to time. This didn't bother Cherie much at all; if anything, being told not to joke around in class encouraged her to clown more. It got to the point where she got a nickname, not the class clown, but the campus clown. Some even called her the Ultimate Clown. Cherie even considered her future in Clown College at some point, although ultimately decided that she'd go to regular college for her mother's sake. As time passed by, she started doing her clown shtick during more opportune time and not during class. Her clowning, however, did not stop. Cherie was always improving her clown game, to the point where even Hope Peak Academy noticed her pristine clowning.

This is more or less the entire old OOC from YCM. Will see about adding in the character stuff later. Also note that not all the information is quite accurate atm but I wanted to keep it as true to what it was (I did remove a few things though).
Well, didn't add the character stuff but hey, don't need that anymore! RP Completed.

Extraordinary individuals on Earth have existed since the beginning of recorded history, or even before then. As long as man has looked up at the stars and wondered what higher powers exist out there, there have been a select chosen few who can bridge that gap. Gifted with powers, whether supernatural, technological, alien, or simply exceptional among humanity; they have rode the crest of the wave of history, shaping it at every turn... whether for good or for evil.
Over the last few centuries, as the modern geopolitical sphere solidifies, so does the culture of superheroes. Multiple groups arise, each one policing their corner of the globe, trying to stay disentangled from the worries of the rest of the world. There are so many, in fact, that it took a few days before the full picture came together one hot summer day in 2018.
Seven young heroes, vanished into thin air. And when they return, the stories they tell will only be overshadowed by the secrets they keep...
      GUIDELINES
Please read and understand NCM and section rules before posting.
You have creative freedom when making your character, but please remember that GM word is final, and you may be asked to change things if deemed necessary. There's a fine line between over-the-top and just plain silly: I expect you to know where that lies. I won't be restricting your potential powers, but please be reasonable and consider how your character's abilities will work in the context of an RP.
(Note: Characters with a "cosmic" origin or power source, ex. aliens or Green Lantern-esque heroes, must be cleared by me prior to applying, and will be held to greater scrutiny.)
Being accepted into this RP means that you are committed to seeing it advance. If you end up falling inactive, you may be dismissed from participating. When posting, please let at least two people go before you before posting again; and aim to post at least once a week. If for some reason you'll need to be inactive for an extended period, please let the hosts know so they can write around your absence.
As of right now, I only want one character per player. If you are competing for a particular position against another applicant... well, tough. I'll pick applications based on how I think the characters will overlap and interact with one another--we're following the trope of Superhero Speciation. Finally, six characters max will be on the Young Guardians, meaning I'll only accept five other players.

      timeline
This is by no means a complete history: feel free to expand on it in your app. (Please forgive my poor attempts at Google Translating Russian.)
1900's While empowered individuals as a concept have existed since the dawn of time, the idea of costumed villains and vigilantes only became culturally widespread with the advances of the 20th century.1940 The "Golden Age" of superheroics begins a year into the Second World War: this was when heroes were deployed to the front lines for the first time as tactical ultimatums. The war ends with a two-pronged attack. The French Légion de la Gloire and the British Division 10 moved in the Western theater, and the Soviet красные знаменосцы (Red Pennants) and American Sentinels took the East. Notably, this avoided the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Rather, the trigger for the Axis' surrender was when a Soviet hero named Огненное Знамя (Fiery Banner) went insane and razed the city of Dresden to the ground, incinerating nearly one million Germans. (He would later be executed for war crimes, which set off future international tensions.)Sep 2, 1945 After the end of the war, the primary world powers gathered at Dresden to sign into account the Dresden Accords, a list of rules for deploying superheroes under national orders. As a result, heroing became a mostly-national phenomenon: international scenarios were rare to the point of irrelevance.mid-1950's An unintended consequence of the Accords was the rise of global super-crime, mostly by the shadowy organization M.I.S.T. Against the tension of the Cold War, which was only held at bay by the tenuous balance of powers, this globespanning group plundered and spread terror, lead by the mysterious and charismatic Gray Mask. These two factors are considered to be the beginning of the "Bronze Age" of heroes, where realpolitik eclipsed a unifying foe.Mar 4, 1983 This state of uncertainty fell with a bang! with the invasion of the K'rrik, a race of insectoid aliens looking to strip Earth of her resources and subjugate her citizens. Humanity suddenly found they were not alone: and although they unified in the face of such evil, they were on the back foot of a number of days until the arrival of the Cosmic Legion (name subject to change).Mar 17, 1983 The tide turned, and within two weeks the K'rrik invaders were beaten back, but at the cost of millions of casualties. March 17th became the Day of Memory, an international holiday to commemorate the loss of life. A side effect of the Legion's new presence on Earth was the acceleration of spacefaring technologies, letting humanity quickly establish lunar and Martian outposts.JUNE 2018 A group of seven young superheroes make their first entry into the Otherworld after being abducted in their sleep. One of their number is killed by monsters shortly after arrival, dropping the count to six.JULY? 2018 Present day... maybe? In the Year 20XX, a strange phenomenon happened across the globe.  The next step in human evolution had begun, and the first Quirk had been recorded!  A baby in China, born with the ability to become completely invisible!  Soon after, many more reports of children being born with strange abilities were also confirmed.  These abilities would be referred to as Quirks, and they would be heavily monitored by the government.  Naturally, the world became a paradise full of Heroes, but the term was more akin to vigilantes more than anything!  With crime also high on the rise, due to the lack of benefits for using Quirks for good, the Government stepped in to enforce law.  The Hero Licensing and Restriction Act was passed, ordering all vigilantes to become of use to the Government.  Many would sign away their rights, but would gain profit from the common folk as a public safety provider.  However, there are many who still refuse to conform to this Government ruling, and have been labled outlwas.
With the HLRA in place, this meant that new heroes would have to be taught proper ways to conduct themselves, if they wanted to become official licensed heroes.  And this is where your story begins.  The U.A. Academy has finally opened it's doors, and is accepting it's first Freshman class!  Will you be able to pass the test, and get your Hero License?
