BGM

Hello again, YC...NCM. After a rather unfortunate incident, which I assure you I had no part of, though I did warn Cyanthrax not to go in that room...

Ah, excuse me. Let me start again.

Hello NCM, my name is Mauvache. And I am proud to introduce you to this RP. I have the distinct pleasure and honor of running a special battle Arena on my home planet of Rama-Indri. Where I have gathered Fighters from across the dimensions to do battle in Virtual Battlefields for the entertainment of a world in dire need of joy.

Here you shall battle many unusual people and creatures and learn to start a new life in a wondrous new land.

Welcome, to RP Smash.

Rules

Spoiler

1. All Site Rules Apply

2. If you are being held up by another RPer inform me and I will contact the RPer to post or take control of their character if need be.

3. Consistently holding back progress will result in being kicked. If you aren't keeping back the other players some leniency will be granted.

4. Discord is not required but, as much information will be there, it is strongly encouraged. Will make give links to the databases if need be however.

Premise

Spoiler

As Mauvache said the idea is fairly simple. A group of Fighters (The player characters) will duke it out in a Virtual Battlefield to earn points which is essentially the currency of the land. Each day they can fight one other Fighter and take part in a single Event Match (which have their own point costs).

However that isn't the most important thing about the RP. To put simply I want an RP where the biggest draw is exploration outside of this 1 V 1 combat and interactions with each other and various NPCs around the city.

There's also another catch. Any character accepted must be from an old RP. Specifically from any old YCM RP. Now, I know with the site being down this feels even more limiting but I don't want to lose the heart and soul of the RP. Which was meant to be a way to use a beloved character in a whole new way.

Setting

Spoiler

The RP takes place on the planet Rama-Indri and the city of Prana. It's a vast and wealthy city on an otherwise dying planet. The city itself floats in the air and has several levels stacked above each other. The highest level is where the Arena, and various other entertainment based locations, is located. The middle level contains most of of housing and shops. And the lowest level, actually connected to the ground, is taken up mostly by the slums and a massive mine.

City

Bottom Level

Arena/Apartments

Third Floor

Fourth Floor

Fifth Floor

Note: These aren't the only things to be found in the city but it gives a general idea.

The city itself is incredibly advanced with magic technology powered by gems called Aetherstones.

Point System/Combat

Spoiler

Characters start with 50 Points at the start of their career and can earn points through fights (60 for winning, 10 for losing) and various Events. As well as jobs that can be discovered as they explore the city.

Combat itself works in a video game manner. Characters are put into a Virtual Battlefield where they can take damage without actual injury or death. Fighters have 1000 HP at the start of the match and the first to reach 0 loses. Damage is determined by the toughness of the character versus the power of the attack.

Most battles I allow some leeway with the damage as the players in the fight can determine among themselves how much damage things do but if unsure or uncomfortable they can always ask me.

Application

Spoiler

It used to be that you'd put you old YCM app, with link to the RP, and then describe what they did during the RP that you want to note and where they were when they were transported. However with YCM dead...

Basically you'll recreate the character to the best of your ability. Include basic information (name, gender, race, etc), Personality, Bio, Appearance, and Combat at least. (Note non-combat characters can become combat characters, be creative) I would like some proof they were from an RP but a description of the RP would be necessary at least.

All characters are "auto-balanced" by the system so that they have a fighting chance against each other but some may be somewhat more powerful than others, just nothing drastic.

Reminder that this RP has 8 characters in at the moment so if you are fine with waiting a bit before joining then feel free to submit an app anyway for future use. (At least 2 more will be added in the future)

Remember to make sure you choose a character you want to stick with and would like to write in various social, combat, and emotional situations.

Accepted Apps and Future Apps

Spoiler

Once again there are 8 in it at the moment but won't begin adding them until those in it recreate their apps (that doesn't mean they can't post in the IC. They are technically already accepted after all). However anyone wishing to be put on the future app roster must post here before being considered even if they already have in the old thread.

Accepted

Spoiler

Waiting List

Spoiler

There is a Discord which will contain links to various statistics and other information. Anyone with any questions not in the chat may ask them here.

The plan to deal with the current situation is this: We will time skip to Sunday in IC (One week from the start of the RP originally) and have the players fill in a summary of what they did. We will work out what they bought, who they hung out with, and how many points they have (as well as who they fought) and such things. I will be making a Daily Journal Document to put in the Discord (as well as one for information and another for confirmed prices of things).

Note that I have a list of characters that have fought and where they fought but I won't fill out the list for the "summary" fights. In other words Cyanthrax vs Aria and Gavin vs Aurora happened in the "Demon Stomach" Battlefield. Even if another pair in the summary fought there they won't be included in the list (as the purpose is to make sure I don't double up too much and let everyone write a fight in each Battlefield).

First!

The Ice Queen

GXycXid.jpg
"Chilly today, ain't it?"

Name: Aurora Burns

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance:

ZXiuEfM.jpg
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 102 pounds

Personality:

Aurora is a confident young woman who keeps her eyes set on her goals and tackles each step toward them with certainty that she'll come out on top. While not much of a leader, Aurora is quite skilled in motivating others and thinking on her toes. She's not at all afraid of taking risks, but is prone to being too sure of her decisions. She'll think of one course of action, then take it, disregarding any arguments otherwise. This can get her in tight spots often, but even if it does, it's very rare for Aurora to lose hope and give up. She'll keep tackling her challenge with a smile until she inevitably emerges victorious, then move on to the next thing.

Above all else, her top priority is helping others. She aspires to become a great hero, and her ambition drives her to help anyone in trouble, no matter how trivial it may be. She really just wants what's best for those around her, with a particular priority on those close to her. Harming her friends or family is an easy way to make yourself her number-one target. Becoming a threat to the public in general isn't much better. If she thinks she can do something about it (she always will), Aurora will show up at the scene of the crime and do her best to bring the bad guys to justice. Danger be damned! That said, she won't use her powers for violence against just anybody. It takes something really serious to prompt Aurora to such an action. She's actually quite reluctant to use her Fragment at all, due to its adverse effects on her.

That said, for someone her age, Aurora has some surprisingly childish or otherwise unbecoming tendencies. Most notably, she absolutely adores goats, and will obsessively collect any goat-themed items she comes across. She'll guard her collection fiercely, and if she catches wind of a limited-edition item, Aurora will most likely go out of her way to get her hands on it.

Of course, Aurora can go a bit overboard with her confidence sometimes. Every now and then her power can get to her head and cause a short bout of arrogance. She's also known to make underhanded decisions if the norm won't cut it, and is too eager to keep secrets from others. While she's selfless and forthcoming - albeit a little stubborn - at best, she can be deceitful and violent at worst.

Biography:

Aurora was born to an upper-middle class family, and is the only child of a rather successful lawyer and her husband, the gourmet chef. By the time Aurora was born, her folks were financially ready to raise a child, keep the lights on and the tummies full, and still have some cash to spare. Good thing too, since Aurora was born with such a powerful Fragment that it had to remain in constant use to keep her frigid powers from building up inside her and actually freezing her to death from the inside out. As a result, since the moment she exited her mother's womb, the air around her would constantly find itself getting colder. This meant several new financial requirements on top of the standard fare of raising a child.

Hot meals and drinks were a must. Heavy blankets and heaters were required while she slept to keep her room warm. Even in the dead of summer, Aurora had to dress warmly. The thermostat in the Burns house had to be kept higher than normal not only to slow down her powers, but warm a room back up faster after she left. And of course, the fireplace got to see plenty of use year-round. While Aurora's financial impact wasn't so massive that the Burns family was losing more money than they made, she certainly did quite a number on their spare income. Despite the hurdles her Fragment presented, Aurora grew up happy, and eventually got old enough for school. Problem being, public schools simply weren't equipped to deal with her, and no private school in the area was willing to work around one student as much as Aurora required. In the end, her parents hired a willing tutor, and Aurora was homeschooled. One very strict lesson was responsibility. It was something her tutor and parents very strongly reinforced in her, teaching her that her powers weren't to be used for violence. To this day, these lessons have played a huge role in Aurora's life, and she has yet to betray them.

The people of the outside world generally tried to avoid her. It could have been any combination of reasons, most involving an unwillingness to deal with the cold air she brought, or being afraid of her power. However, despite it all, there was one place Aurora liked to go when summer had come and the sun pulled out all the stops. The park. Some people welcomed her with open arms as a relief from the sweltering heat of Texan summers. Others, either jealous or afraid of her, weren't so hospitable, often trying to chase her away and/or make her not want to return. Well, one day at the young age of 6, the latter sorts became hostile. They were entirely ready to attack Aurora once they realized she wouldn't fight back. That was the day she met who would become her best friend.

A boy had intervened, telling the hostile kids to stop. When they didn't listen, he casually tossed one a good dozen feet into the sandbox, as a warning to the rest. The assailants all left uninjured, and the two spent the next hour or so playing together before Aurora ultimately had to return home. They exchanged names and agreed to meet up again tomorrow. That boy's name was August Adler, and he stuck to his word the following day. And the day after that, and the day after that, and so on.

The days passed and became weeks, eventually becoming months, then years. August became Aurora's one friend in the real world, and one of the very few who entered the Burns house to see her. At the age of ten, he came with an idea. An idea to become a hero. An idea Aurora was completely in favor of. An agreement was made, that the two would work hard to be able to someday enter Mar-Vell together and become heroes, and in exchange, Aurora's family would pay for August's transportation; financial burdens like that were the last thing August's folks needed.

Fast-forward a few years. Aurora and August both met the requirements to join Mar-Vell, and as promised, the Burns family paid for transportation for the both of them. One lengthy train ride and a taxi cab later, and the two took their entrance exam, with both Aurora and August passing. Now that they've taken their first year of high school, they're back again for round two.

Alias: Arctica
Quantum Classification: Water/Air
Quantum Fragment: Absolute Zero

Appearance (Hero):

Unlike the ever-so-common bodysuits that leave little to the imagination, Arctica's costume leaves more or less everything up in the air. The primary feature of the costume is a pale blue hooded winter coat made of leather, that reaches down to the knees and has a very heavy white fur trim and interior. Arctica's footwear of choice is a pair of black boots that reach almost up to the knee, and feature a similar fur trim & interior. The keen observer will notice a pair of thick, pale blue leather snow pants under the coat and boots. Her hands are covered by thick white velvet gloves that reach under the coat and go up to her elbows.

Arctica's face is concealed mostly by a thick white fur scarf that wraps around the mouth and nose. Her eyes are concealed by a pair of goggles with black-tinted lenses. It can't be seen under the rest of her costume, but there is a surgical mask between Arctica's face and her scarf after she got fed up with fur sticking to her face. Also unviewable under her costume is a rather thick cotton bodysuit worn under the rest of her costume for extra insulation.

Abilities:

Aurora has the power to conjure ice, cold air, and so on. More importantly, her Fragment is extremely potent, to such an extent that she physically cannot contain the full extent of her power without the risk of freezing herself to death from the inside out. As a result, her Fragment is under constant - albeit light - use, creating an aura of cold air around her at all times. More thorough application of her Fragment can create gusts of freezing air, but will also adversely affect Aurora as well. Overuse can and most likely will result in hypothermia or worse.

After some tests performed in very specifically-prepared environments, it's been concluded that Aurora is capable of generating blizzards with storm-force winds that blow at speeds of up to 68mph (109kmph), and at her peak can create temperatures as low as -207 degrees Fahrenheit (-97 degrees Celsius). The creation of ice is also possible with this power for various purposes. Stronger applications of the power wear on Aurora's health faster. For instance, she could slowly lower the temperature around her until it reaches a hazardously cold level and be none the worse for wear, or do it in the course of a few short seconds but suffer acute hypothermia and probable frostbite as a side effect.

Aurora keeps her Fragment under constant use, but only a little bit. As a result, the air around her graudally gets colder, stopping at about 20 degrees Fahrenheit (-7 degrees Celsius) and lowering at a rate of 1 degree Fahrenheit (roughly .5 degrees Celsius) per second.

Misc.

  • Carries a snowflake-pattern bag with her at all times. This bag contains a scarf, a fur-trimmed hat, a winter capelet, a pair of wool gloves, and no less than five thermoses of hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is made by Aurora every morning and immediately after school. The purpose of this bag's contents is to keep those who will be around her for extended periods of time warm, if they didn't come prepared.
  • Sleeps accompanied by an electric blanket and a trio of space heaters, as well as her prized possession; a 3-foot plush goat. Yes, she knows how excessive it sounds.
  • Aurora's already had her entire life thus far to learn how to control her Fragment just in order to live semi-normally. It's about as controlled as it can get as of now. While this means Aurora's considerably more powerful than most people her age, it also means she's already gotten as good as she can get, and has no further room for powering up.

Alright, and I am return

Spoiler

Personality Information
Name: Aria
Epithet: Amp
Age of Appearance: 17/18
Sex: Female
Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtgSP1-rAk0&list=PLk32mpiAD9hZn1JIvIVjZFwrmRaztLk0f&index=4

Appearance

Spoiler

7bcee4f72b.jpg

Standing at an AVERAGE FIVE FEET TWO INCHES (and if you say otherwise you'll be missing some teeth) Aria expresses a spunky attitude through messy, short, silver hair; a worn-out jacket that doubles as leather armor, work-pants, and steel-toed boots. By no means does the character look like it has the stature of someone who's trying to compensate for the kind of person they're not; in fact it looks more like they tried to make a rather accurate portrayal of themselves in the game.

Face-wise, Aria's not like... un-pretty or anything. With large, bright blue eyes; a round nose; thin lips; and the fact that maybe she looks a little younger than she actually is, she'd be a lot more attractive if it looked like effort was taken to make herself presentable. Through all the dirt scruff and snarky and/or tough expressions, there's a soft-hearted girl in there... maybe. Seriously, joke about the height and you'll regret it.

In real life (IRL as some may say), Aika is just as short; actually a little shorter than her character. With large, dark eyes, the familiar round nose and thin lips; the main difference is Aria's better-kept short, black hair compared to her character's messy, kind-of curly white hair. Her usual attire involves a cut-off jacket over a fitting gray long-sleeve with tight jeans torn at the knees, red sneakers, and a pair of big headphones around her neck.

Personality and Bio

Spoiler
Aika, for the most part, is fairly complicated with her emotions. Back as a child, Aika was very quiet, and very shy. Spending most of her time reading books and practicing her music, Aika never spent much time around other kids or socializing. To top things off, Aika's home life was not something she would ever wish onto anyone else, but does her darnedest to keep this information to herself as much as possible. Unfortunately, this kind of information is very difficult to keep to yourself in the real world.

Labeled as a "Loner" and a "Weirdo" by pretty much everyone else in the class, Aika was subject to a lot of bullying and a lot of torment. When the wrong crowd finally found out about her home life, things only got worse and worse. With nobody to go to and nobody to open up to, things looked bad. When life seemed to be at its worst, something happened at the school. A code yellow that was all over the news. Confronted with the criminal, Aika finally stood up for herself, even if she wasn't really all that successful. When the police finally put an end to the crisis, Aika left the situation a change person; for better and for worse.

A lot has happened since then, and because of all that Aika has changed gradually from the quiet, shy girl to someone... a lot more rambunctious. Aika has become a balloon of emotions that has become over-inflated, with a fuse shorter than she herself and a tendency to attempt to hide what's really going on. Aika can be a person you would rather tip-toe around depending on who you are and your personality.
Because of her past, Aika feels the need to be really tough; to be strong for herself and those around her. This also means that she's grown to be incredibly reckless because of her nature. Reckless, over-confident, and very energetic at times. Being reckless and quite dramatic at times does not mean she's a bad person. Aika genuinely cares for the people "close" to her, and makes a big effort to stand up for those who are being picked on or worse. She may have a short fuse, but knows how to restrain herself at least a LITTLE bit. Of course, a lot of this personality shift seems to be a lot more of an overcompensation than a self-improvement.

Aika generally does not rub the right way with: people striving for too much attention (jealousy may be a big part of this) and people who act like they're better than others, specifically herself. In other words, ego maaaayyy have a part in all of this. Just a little. Taking things a step further, Aika generally despises people who pick on others or get their kicks at someone else's expense. If you're a bully, you're gonna get it.

But really, let's put emotional problems aside from a moment. Aika's a very laid-back person at times; known for being casual to a point where some may take it as disrespectful. Laid-back also translates to "Pretty lazy" overall; hard work and labor that isn't fun isn't Aika's jam (and this applied to homework as well). She's a very fun-loving person, and really likes being around people that she enjoys hanging out with. When getting that sweet, sweet adrenaline rush isn't the activity of choice at the time, Aika loves to surround herself with people she likes and hopefully like her as well. Of course, there are always those times where Aika needs to get away and get in touch with the more... musical side of herself.

Overall, Aika has embraced the Lockdown. Compared to most players, Aika has a great enthusiasm for living in the world of Lore and enjoys most days. Granted, when the conversation turns to "when they get out", Aika generally tries to change the subject. Before being pulled into this new world, Aika was still inside the world of Lore, playing. She had just met up with a new group to take on a quest together. Things were going smoothly, and it seemed as if she had found herself a new group to be with. However, before the climactic battle of the quest; she was pulled from the game space and, as well, earth as she knew it. Of course, upon being pulled into this new world, Aika found herself looking like her Lore character, and sporting some new abilities.

Combat Information

Spoiler
Fighting Style: Aika's style is rather recognizable: in the fray as fast as possible, and take out the enemy before they know it. The strategy is minimal and the planning just as so. The results are usually mixed, and as such Aria's learned at least some restraint until the members of the guild that are able to tell her what do "Let loose the hounds" so to speak. Aika's new form in Rama-Indra boasts a very short-range combat strategy through melee combat while also manipulating sound in various magical attacks.
Abilities:
  • Staccato Slam: A simple move that amplifies Aria's punches and kicks. This wind attack creates a small shockwave on the impact of Aria's melee attacks that creates a very loud noise. Increases the concussive damage of Aria's melee attacks with a strong knock-back.
  • Legato Leap: Using her wind magic, Aria uses sound waves to create a cushion of air pressure around her immediate person. This cushion of pressure can be used to increase the height/distance of her jumps or slowing her own falls (like lowering her own gravity), or to increase her running speedd and agility
  • Bass Batter: A directional area-of-effect attack that fires in a cone. Casts out a wave of a very low and loud bass note that pushes back physical objects and can stun targets only while they're in the area of effect. Can be focused in a smaller area for greater force and slightly better range, or widened for weaker force but a larger area of effect.
  • Soprano Scream: Creates a loud, very high-pitched bast of sound in a 5-meter radius around the user, damaging and stunning enemies caught in the vicinity.
  • Crescendo Climax: A difficult ability that takes time to charge, during which Aria is immobile. This ability creates a massive explosion of sound on Aria's location, propelling her forward at incredible speed like a human missile leaving a wake of acoustic destruction; detonating on target with a second explosion of sound Luigi-style.
Inventory:
  • Tough Girl's Coat <Light>: A leather armor coat that Aria is never seen without.
  • Silver Cestus: a pair of metal gloves that make punching a lot more painful for the victim.
  • Libretto Locket: An emerald necklace tucked away. Increases agility a little.

Real-World Identity

Spoiler
Name: Aika Akiyama (秋山愛佳, Ah-kee-yama Aikah)
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Home City: Fukagawa
Occupation: Student/Amateur Musician
Trivia:
  • Aika's been a lead-singer and guitarist in her band "Cloud Knights"; granted that name keeps changing... along with the genre and some of its members.
  • Aika has a strange obsession with indie-rock music from North America, even though she can't actually speak english. (she can now in this new world, strangely enough)
  • Aika has never worn a dress.

The Long of It

Spoiler

Name: Xia
Gender: Female
Age: 623
Species: Half-Dragon (Sea)
Appearance:

Spoiler

KairQhY.jpg?1]
Artist: Meer Rowe

Xia is humanoid in appearance, standing at a rather tall height of 6'2" and weighing at about 250 lbs. Her black hair is an unkempt mess, it's length stretching down most of her back making it no easier to keep in check. The girl is undoubtedly in good shape as one can see as she is quite clearly toned with her muscles being very clearly defined. The traits of hers that are far more noticeable, though, are the ones that take after her dragon aspect. The girl has two horns on either side of her head, one large and one small to the inside side of the horn. The next defining draconic trait of hers is a 4 foot long, blue, scaly tail ending in a brush-like tuft of blue fur. The least noticeable dragon trait of hers is that, while only partially visible, it looks as if there are scales underneath her skin. This is generally hidden by way of her attire, generally consisting of long sleeves and leggings across her limbs. The only skin that this is generally visible on is her face, more specifically her cheekbones, but those tend to have some manner of makeup covering them. Her torso, and thus the scales across it, are generally covered by a Chinese style dress. Most of time time her apparel is some shade of blue in color.

Origin of Half Dragon

Spoiler

In China during the early Tang Dynasty, there existed a people who were quite attuned with the ability of magic. Gifted to them by their dragon deity, they showed reverence to it, and in turn, it provided them with the means to grow and prosper greater than any civilization.  However, during the early expansion of the Tang family's empire, the people had feared that their people may have been subjugated with their dragon's gifts abused. Fearing this, they asked for guidance from their deity. In return, he lead them to his home; the Sea. Using magic to create technology far beyond anyone's understanding of the time, they had managed to construct a completely mobile colony that could send itself into the ocean. Once there, the people continued to expand and firmly cement themselves, making an entire new civilization that had grown under the ocean over the course of the years.
As time went on, the dangers of the sea, though, became more and more apparent. They needed means to get food, they needed to repair damage to their underwater city and they needed a means to protect themselves from the outside dangers. In response to this, the dragon deity asked for an avatar, one they would bless with their strength and be used as their guardian being for all of their city. And so, the people had chosen someone they felt was fit for the role, someone that they saw favor in their deity from. Those chosen had their forms changed in order to still retain their humanoid shape but show their blessings with draconic features. The dragons were able to live for far longer a time period than any normal human, making them effectively ageless. Only when they died was a new person chosen to be blessed by their deity.

Bio

Spoiler

Born more than 500 years ago, there was a young girl who stood out from all the others who were there. The girl was fairly taken in by the world around her, always in complete admiration of the sea. And while there was not much to note about her, as she was never particularly proficient in quite anything, a certain incident had left an entirely different impression on everyone else. When a section of their city had broken, flooding in the process, during the repair and salvaging process, she seemed to be the only one who had not drowned. Seeing this as a sign from their god, the people of this city had done their best to train her to fill the spot of the cities 4th guardian, as the 3rd one had died a few years prior. After reaching adulthood, the dragon seemed to be pleased with the girl as the candidate and had blessed her into the being she is today.

Devoted to her city, the now half-dragon girl had worked tirelessly towards making sure everything was taken care of and the people were never in danger. However, as the years passed by and their god's strength starting to wane, the girl's city started to crumble. No longer protected from the pressure of the water, collapses became more frequent. Unable to reliably leave, their food supply shrunk. Their magical abilities failing, sickness started to spread rampant throughout the city without any means of curing or containing it. Soon, what was once a prosperous yet impossible colony, had turned to nothing but rubble and ruins. All that was left was the half-dragon girl, who had watched her entire world crumble before her, powerless to stop it.

A feeling of despair and failure had overcome the girl, as she had been unable to protect her people despite her role. While the idea to end her existence crossed her mind, she had instead decided to stay at the bottom of the depths, safeguarding what little remained of the ancient city as a sort of atonement. And so there she sat for centuries to come, left all alone, with nothing but her thoughts to keep her company and the fish to keep her fed, (as making friends with food did not seem that enjoyable.)

This had all changed the day that humans from the surface had found their way into the depths. A small band of divers, ones that were into looking for buried wrecks or treasure in the sea, had come across by this ruined city. They were astonished by the find. A ruin that had no records of ever existing, with remnants of things that didn't even begin to make sense to the divers that found it. While they had started looking around, figuring out what everything was, the dragon girl had noticed the presence of the humans. While her first instinct was one to drive them away, as a guardian would, her years of isolation had made her reconsider otherwise. After much internal wrestling, she had eventually simply swam over to one of the divers, and continued to stare at him. The diver, completely taken aback by the sight, both started to panic at the sight of the girl yet also seem to hold some sort of reverence towards her, thinking she was some kind of emissary of a god. While the girl was merely curious at this reaction, she took no action except observe, only taking action to intervene with the actions of the diver when they had actually attempted to disturb the ruined city. After realizing their job was basically impossible, one of the divers had eventually attempted to converse with her, eventually managing to coax her up to the surface world.

While talking had gone incredibly poorly at first, as the girl had not spoken in ages and the language she had was long dead, not much headway was made on the first day and the girl had ended up going back to the sea, the divers leaving the area. However, as the days passed, they kept coming back and in an attempt to communicate with this girl and with a lot of effort and teaching and her own devotion towards trying to properly speak with others, she was eventually to hold a conversation with them. Once she was able to speak, the girl informed them of her occupation and that they were not to disturb the place and that there was absolutely nothing they could do to convince her otherwise. Upon hearing this from the mouth of a being that was practically like a divine entity to them, they could only resign themselves to this. With their business finally settled, after months of effort, the dragon girl was extremely reluctant to go back to being alone, when she offered her services to the diving crew, keeping a watchful eye on them and making sure that they were never to disturb her home again. Both floored and excited by the proposal, they had accepted.

For not more than a year or two, she had aided in their explorations, reveling in her new found companionship and work. Though she helped them with their efforts in both discovering and salvaging and was able to finally do something of use, she still felt a longing. Due both to not going into modern civilization, because of her race, and still having her head in the past, she had still missed her home. And as these thoughts started to plague her, she received a letter. While it was incredibly strange that she could even get a letter to begin with, the offer inside sounded even stranger to her. After being described what it was that was actually expected of her, and what she would get out of it, the girl took barely any time to form an answer to it. Being confident in her ability to fight, as it was practically what she was meant for, and thinking the money could be used to both help the divers who she lived with and start the restoration of her lost civilization, the girl accepted.

While the girl had been going to go to the tournament preliminaries, on her way there she ended up being lost in some inter dimensional transportation stuff. It was weird yo. And that's the story of how she ended up here.

Personality

Spoiler

After a long time spent in isolation, Xia both has the vibe of being someone who is both incredibly cheery and outgoing with others. Being constantly full of energy, she tries to be incredibly friendly towards others though in an almost forceful way, as if merely desperate to communicate with others. This is shown by her Despite this, she is absolutely horrid at talking, not quite understanding how to carry out a conversation in general. This is only worsened by her lack of understanding of language in general, and thus can't pick up on different social cues, idioms, etc. Nevertheless, she is a naturally curious and easily trusting person always wanting to learn more, as the modern world around her is incredibly different than the one she had known for all of her life.

Always doing her best to succeed, the girl's self confidence is only hindered by the issue of there not being much in the world that she is actually skilled at. Failing is not something she takes well, causing cracks in her cheery attitude and causing her to become far more nervous and/or sorrowful. Conversely, though, in moments of success she is filled with nothing more than pure joy. Though, if there is one thing she is good at, it is fighting. Xia adores physical confrontations with others as she feels it is the best way to both interact and understand others. While Xia doesn't ever wish to kill someone else, she is very terrible at holding herself back and always goes at full blast from the get go.

Combat

Spoiler

Weapon(s) of choice:
Xia is basically incapable of using any weapon other than her own body. As such, she is very proficient in punching things, kicking things, elbowing things, kneeing things, and tail slapping things. She also has the occasional moments of using her head in battle.

Power Array:

  • Strength of Dragons: Being a half dragon, Xia's physical parameters, such as speed, reflexes and endurance, are far beyond that of the regular human being. The most standout parameter of hers is her strength, being inhumanly strong and carrying a large amount of force behind all of her attacks.
  • Resilience of Dragons: Despite her scales not being incredibly apparent to the naked eye, they are still there and they are still tough. Given their innate toughness, they are able to reduce a good deal of damage that she would otherwise take. This amount of damage reduced is based on how thick her scales are, the thinnest being across her face (not providing much cover) and the thickest being across her forearms and shins (tougher than steel.)
  • Providence of the Sea Dragon: Xia is blessed by the powers of an ancient water dragon spirit. As such she is gifted with a few things to aid in her undersea guardian duties. For one, she is able to breathe underwater and is quite the swimmer. She, quite like water, is resilient to the change in temperature, taking longer to be affected by such than a normal person would be.
  • Force of the Sea Dragon: As a dragon, Xia is quite naturally attuned with magic. However, due to centuries of both no use or practice, both her mana pool and magical understanding is very poor. The one skill she can use, however, involves what she is good at; punching. By creating a large collection of water over her arm, she is able to launch it in a singular direction by punching. The water takes time to gather across her hand, varying in power based on how long it has been charging for. An instantaneous fire it nothing more than a splash while a fully charge shot is equal to force to that of a cannon. The full attack takes a full ten seconds to charge, though Xia may stop charging, mid charge, and continue with it at a later time (expiring after 30 seconds,) though if she is hit while charging the charge is completely lost and must be started from again.

Misc

Spoiler

  • Xia's real name is not actually Xia, it was simply given to her by one of the members of the diving team that found her. Her real name is both unknown to the rest of the world and forgotten by Xia herself.
  • Her favorite color is blue.

Needs No Introduction

Spoiler

Rdlv7J2.png
"C'mon... at least try to make this fun for me!"

Personal Information

Name: Cyanthrax
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Age: 345
Allegiance: The Seven Deadly Sins
Mark: The Lion Sin of Pride

Appearance

Spoiler

ktXdm6j.png

Height: 6'4"
Weight: 271 lbs

Cyanthrax's apparel is nearly identical to what you see above, with the mark of the Lion Sin engraved onto his back. The back of his jacket also has the mark of the Lion Sin on it with a yellow cloth and the same frills you see on the collar and sleeves of the jacket surrounding it, taking place of the mane of the lion. And yes, for the most part, Cyanthrax bears that shit-eating grin almost permanently. His blood is pitch-black.

Personality

Spoiler

Cyanthrax is vile, loud-mouthed, and has an ego that would dwarf even the largest giant. He shows little respect to those around him, especially if they are strangers to him. He is very quick to retaliate to those who talk down to him, either through snarky one liners that sound much cooler in his head or by getting violent. Due to how little respect he has towards other, he will often handicap himself and in general hold back against his foes while degrading them. He is extremely competitive about nearly everything he does. However, despite what you'd think, he doesn't really instigate many fights - almost all of the spats that he gets into are when people attack his image or defending someone else who is being bullied. In his mind the worst thing a person can do is pick on those below them.

He is very impulsive and stubborn, usually charging head-first into situations for various reasons. While not the sharpest tool in the shed, he is able to function very well under high-pressure situations. Despite his hateful and arrogant exterior, he is a bit of a softy inside, especially towards animals and children. He feels as if it is his duty to protect those who cannot protect themselves due to immense strength, especially against others who pick on those below them to feel stronger. While he had troubles actually making friends, he get really attached to them once he makes them, although he will try his hardest not to show this.

Biography

Spoiler

His memories from his time with his fellow Demons is shaky at best - the only thing he remembers is a feeling of rejection and weakness. As far as he knows, he has always been alone in the human world, only his blade keeping him company. Due to his demonic powers and desperation, he joined a local street gang - the Rebellious Rats. At first, he served as the muscle of the group due to his strength, doing most of the dirty work. They did various crimes - mainly theft, but sometimes assault and vandalism. As time went on, he climbed up the ranks of what he considered to be his family.

As the gang's influence grew, so did their infamy. And Cyanthrax was at the helm of the gang, basically becoming the leader alongside the original leader - a surprisingly young Human named Pearson Grei, whom stood at 27. The two of them became representatives of the slums, Cyanthrax with his strength and Pearson with his charisma and wit. As word of the gang spread, so did the fact that Cyanthrax was a demon. This lead to the gang and, more specifically Cyanthrax, being scapegoated for multiple crimes, including kidnapping and murders - something the Rebellious Rats have never done. Despite there infamy in the town, they were considered heroes in the slums, as they would often share the loot they stole from the rich with the slums that they called home.

Their crimes, however, would eventually catch up to them. One day, the guards had found there whereabouts after interrogating a few of the slum locals. Things did not end well for either party - a bunch of the slums people got caught in the cross-fire of their fighting, while both sides lost lives. This included Pearson, who received a fatal blow through the heart. Enraged, Cyan slaughtered what remained of the guards and, realizing what he had done, fled. Of course, all of the deaths that had happened on that night were pinned on him.

After that day, he spent his time wandering the world without a goal, hitting multiple bars and casinos on his trail. After what was around a couple of decades, through his travels, he crossed paths with another gang of misfits and criminals - his type of company. He ended up traveling for a bit, joining there ranks as the Lion Sin of Pride - a natural fit for him - and, for once in a long time, felt at home. Rekindling this feeling of home, he decided that he had to go back to see how the town was going after all those years of his absence. He imagined that they would probably still be searching for him, but he had to know what the status of the slums was. He knew, somehow, that he would cross paths with the other sins again.

He had many adventures between splitting up from his comrades and eventually reuniting with them at the start of the RP Cyanthrax is from, where he wandered the land searching for something to do. He could not tell you the specifics of how he got to this strange realm - all he can recall was that it was at a late night at some tavern in a small town; despite being a demon, he managed to get wasted. All he recalled is passing out in a drunken haze and waking up to a strange world.

Combat Information

Sacred Treasure (Weapon)

Spoiler

Jigoku

Jigoku is a rapier with a unique purple to orange coloration on the blade and a blood-red hilt. The blade seemed to have an after-image effect when swung around. It can act as a channel for demonic powers, primarily however it it excels at channeling different sorts of Purgatory Fire.

Ability

Spoiler

Crisis

Crisis is an that, when activated, causes the very air in a close proximity of him to suddenly become dense, making the very act of breathing difficult for those who can't handle the increased pressure. The intense pressure makes it hard for those who are not used to the high pressure or those who are easily stressed to think fast, causing them to make many mistakes. This intense pressure can be beaten with sheer willpower and confidence - in fact, this is how Cyanthrax is able to thrive after activating this ability, as it technically also affects him despite it in practice doing almost nothing to him.

Techniques

Spoiler

Shadowstep

Using his dark energy, he can propel himself short distances with impressive speeds, making it great for dodging incoming attacks or surprising the enemies with a sudden attack. Using Shadowstep will leave a black trail behind him as he does it. It can be used in rather quick succession but no other demonic ability can be used in the short duration of Shadowstep or immediately after using Shadowstep.

Hellfire Rain

Cyanthrax can create up to 10 small orbs of Purgatory Fire by burning the air around him using his demonic power and fire them at his leisure. If materialized from Jigoku, the fireballs becomes amplified in speed, power, and size, although he can only tether one fireball onto Jigoku at a time. The fireballs can be merged to become bigger, faster, and stronger.

Hellspark

He can cause the very air around him to ignite in a sudden burst of Purgatory Flame. While the burst itself doesn't last long, Hellspark can still ignite flammable objects such as wood or clothing. The area in which Cyanthrax can use Hellspark is very close to himself - about a foot and a half away from himself.

Hellsnake Spit

Usually fired off of Jigoku, his hands, or even from his own mouth, Hellsnake Spit is a sort of short-ranged flamethrower technique that fires Purgatory Flame. Prolonged and constant use of Hellsnake Spit coming from his body will eventually start burning him as well, although the effects are not as severe as they are for his opponents. This can also be used to propel himself forward if he so desires to do to. Because he had this movement option, he never took up the flying ability that most demons have - he much prefers to fly around in style.

Ignite

He can surround any part of himself or the tip of Jigoku in Purgatory Fire, allowing him to either punch things with the effects of Purgatory Fire or have a flaming sword. Using it on Jigoku has no negative effect on him unless he touches the fire, but using it on himself causes burns on the part that is affected by Ignite. Naturally, he is more resistant to his own fire than the opponent would be, but it does leave notable burn marks and damage to his body that is difficult to heal due to the nature of Purgatory Fire. When used on the tip of Jigoku the effects are more potent due to it being more concentrated.

Hellseeing Eyes

Due to not being a full-fledge demon, he can't quite steal the souls of others. However, his demon heritage and training has given him the ability to see the faint aura of ones soul. This gives him slight wall-hax ability and, more notably, can tell whether someone is dead or not.

Pressure

Used alongside Crisis, his dark energy can cause thoughts of fear, paranoia, despair, and even flashbacks to bad memories - even repressed ones. Essentially, if the opposition is affected by Crisis they can be psychologically attacked. The effectiveness of Pressure is similar to that of Crisis - those who are more resistant to Crisis also aren't very affected by Pressure, but those who can't handle Crisis at all may find themselves either severely psychologically damaged or even dead by the effects of Pressure.

Physical Traits

Spoiler

Power of Darkness

Demons can create and manipulate a mysterious dark substance to enhance both their offensive and defensive abilities. It has been shown to form various weapons and to protect them from attacks that would otherwise cause serious injury.

Enhanced Regeneration

They can use their darkness be used to piece together an injured demon's body and mend grave wounds.

Purgatory Fire「煉獄の炎 Rengoku no Honō」

A powerful, dark flame that is capable of negating regenerative abilities and even scarring an immortal. It can be invoked in the form of an enchantment.

The Witch

Spoiler

Personal Information

Spoiler

Name:  Morgan Reaperson

Gender: Female

Age:  19

Species:  Human...? (explanation in bio)

Appearance

Spoiler

xKZSjwu.jpg?1

Morgan doesn’t look much different than your average human girl. She stands at a somewhat average five foot six inches (168 cm) and weighs in at 125 pounds (56kg). She has various different clothing she wears, most of it light and comfortable, but she usually wears black and always is wearing her pointed hat. There’s a strange shine in her eyes, akin to that of a cat, that can be seen when the light hits it just right.

Biography

Spoiler

Morgan is the daughter of a very dangerous man. A wizard named Grimsley who has transcended humanity to gain the powers of a lich. He has lived hundreds of years by using this power and had a considerable fortune when he moved to America. Once there he started an organization with the simple goal of world domination. It was long thought that he wouldn’t be able to have a child and yet, through some magic ritual he doesn’t discuss with anyone, his then wife was impregnated with a child, Morgan.
It’s unknown for sure what race Morgan is. As her mother was human and Grimsley was supposedly also human the best guess is she’s the same. But it’s not a certainty.
Morgan’s mother died shortly after the birth. From then on Morgan was the center of Grimsley’s world. She had him wrapped around her finger and was given literally everything that she could ever have wanted. When she got old enough she started to take part in the “family business”.
Morgan was adapt at magic, possibly would be even more so than Grimsley with time. And she used it to good effect, taking over several other similar organizations through force.
However Morgan was horrible with money. She just couldn’t stop buying and buying and buying. Eventually even Grimsley had enough and cut her off. She was planning a massive plot to steal all the money of one of the smaller countries when she was contacted. A mysterious message telling her about a Secret Cup tournament being held that she was invited too.
Thrilled at the prospect of all that money, with her eyes on the prize of a massive spending spree, Morgan took off at once.

However as the tournament turned upside down, and the host of the tournament tried to kill them, Morgan fought back with all she had. Almost destroying her body in the process. However, before the final blow was struck on either end, the world itself seemed about to shatter, and Morgan was swept up into a strange rift.

Personality

Spoiler

Extremely selfish. Everything belongs to Morgan and screw you if you think otherwise. A total brat, but a smart brat. She has been known to have a bit of a temper at times but experience has taught her that it’s better to be sweet and charming to get what she wants. She isn’t above being  aggressive when necessary however. She truly does thing that she deserves the best, always, and she doesn’t mind letting you know it.

Strangely innocent. Morgan knows practically nothing about romance and doesn't quite understand the concepts of love and lust alike. Probably due to being sheltered by her father. Dirty jokes and flirting will go right over Morgan's head and she doesn't grasp the fact that her sweet and charming act can appear as such.

That being said, Morgan is quite easy to offend and gets genuinely hurt when people are mean to her. This is quite hypocritical of her as she doesn't mind doing similar to others, but as stated earlier Morgan is selfish like that and doesn't really care.

Morgan will get very attached to someone if they are interesting enough and help her whenever she needs it. But this attachment is usually purely platonic. Morgan likes having friends and being social, as long as she doesn't have to give them anything.
Curiosity may have killed the cat but that doesn’t stop Morgan. She’s insatiably curious about everything and everyone and loves to learn and see new things. Also quite adventurous, Morgan craves excitement and has often lived life on the edge. She doesn’t worry about the consequences of her actions ever, except when it comes to if it’ll interfere with her goals.

 Weapons/Powers

Spoiler

Weapon(s) of choice:  None, unless a fire-resistant broomstick counts.

Power Array:

Levitation: Morgan can “hover” several feet above the ground and travel at running speed in this fashion. She usually does this while sitting on her broomstick for “effect”

Skeleton Giant: As the name suggests, this is Morgan’s ability to create a twelve foot Skeleton out of magic, which has superhuman strength and wields a large bone-club. It’s not very fast and can only follow basic commands. Overtime it can reassemble itself when broken but not nearly instant.

Metal as f***: Morgan’s signature ability, a magic that summons and uses flaming skulls as a projectile. They explode upon impact and Morgan can have five at once. They hover around her when not being thrown.

Frenzy Plant: Morgan can create thick magical roots which come from the ground that she can control to encircle, crush, or just slam into, her opponents.

Witchcraft: These are merely examples of what Morgan can accomplish with magic. As in Smash she's less limited than other places.

Negative Ghost Rider, the Pattern is Full

Spoiler

kftkzLy.jpg?1
"You don't have time to think up there. If you think, you're dead."

x393wz.jpg
Personal Informationx393wz.jpg
Name: Gavin Shepard
Alias(es): Ace, Maverick
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: May 22nd, 2536
Family: Pete Shepard (Father; Alive), Charlotte Williams Shepard (Mother; Alive), Mitchell Shepard (Younger Brother; Alive)x393wz.jpg
Appearance:

Spoiler

9u0A5hk.jpg

Standing at 5'9" (175 cm) and weighing in at 145 lbs is Gavin Shepard. He has short brown hair that brings out his reddish amber eyes in the right lighting. His body is toned-well, for a twenty-year old male and is quite agile to boot. The clothing that is shown above would be Gavin's relaxing attire, as he has a habit of lounging around in his normal clothes than the space suit or protocol required attire. The normal relaxing attire that Gavin sports usually consists of his favorite black and red t-shirt, black jeans, black boots which he keeps his jean bottoms covering over them, along with his father's old pilot's jacket that he was given after his graduation. Finally, his MOVA is usually worn on his left arm.

x393wz.jpgPersonality:

Spoiler

In Gavin's academy training, he was taught to put his team first, don't make hasty decisions, and to treat whatever you pilot as if it was an extension of yourself. Needless to say, Gavin has kept two of those three in line, in some occasions.

The usual side to Gavin is his pilot mentality, which is prone to adapting to quickly to any situation that he's given. Because of his quick adapting, Gavin is able to perform his duties well under any pressure thrown his way; this is one of his best qualities. His academy trainer said that there was one thing he liked about him as a pilot...and that was "Your arrogance in your skills as a pilot". With that in his mind, Gavin always takes pride in his skills, even to the point of arrogance which sometimes can be his biggest strength or his biggest weakness.

When he isn't piloting (and that's a very rare case), Gavin is usually writing letters to his family. In ways he may not show it, the young pilot still holds a soft spot for his family and enjoys sending them letters from time to time to tell of his exploits that he's come across through his new career. Because of this, he feels a strong connection with any crew or team he comes in contact with, always putting them and their needs first before his own. For his crew, team, and friends, Gavin is always as loyal as he can be as well as being able to defend them whenever they need it. However at first Gavin might not react to newcomers too well, due to him having a small amount of trust issues (namely because of his younger brother), but once that barrier is passed, Gavin will become an amazing friend and ally to whoever he comes in contact with.

Another thing Gavin tends to do when he isn't piloting or writing letters to family, happens to be working on technical aspects of things. More specifically, his surveillance nanobots and his A.I., VEX. As technology is constantly evolving, Gavin is always tinkering with these things and much more in order to stay ahead of the constant technological curve that is always present.

Within combat, Gavin acts as he does when piloting: thinking quickly and taking risks. He prefers working with a team, as to always have someone watching his back as a sort of "wingman" would. He doesn't make any sarcastic or snark comments at the enemy, as it would only provoke them to dangering innocents even more.

x393wz.jpgBiography:

Spoiler

"I'm guessin' I'm no longer in the same quadrant anymore...right?"

Gavin Shepherd was born on Earth to Pete and Charlotte Williams Shepherd, as their first born. And from a young age, Gavin had always loved something about the wild blue yonder and even the starry wonder that was space. This is where Gavin's desire to become a pilot started...and it didn't help that his father was a pilot in his younger days either. But there was more to Gavin than just becoming a pilot, no...much more. From what both of his parents saw, Gavin was also attuned to computers...more specifically, Artificial Intelligence.

When he became of age, his parents sent him to school in order to hone his skills in both piloting and maintaining A.I., in order to help the crews he would see himself working on later in the future. It was at this point that he created his A.I. companion, Virtual EXperiment or VEX. In truth, VEX was somewhat of an accident that was created due to Gavin's younger brother, Mitchell, knocking into his workbench and having Gavin miss the intended spot to hit. If Gavin HAD hit that specific spot, he wouldn't have been successful in making the A.I., which he would learn much later.

As years passed, Gavin and VEX had become quite the duo. Not only this, but with VEX's help, Gavin was able to design his MOVA's specific equipment, namely the addition of the surveillance bots and even Artificial Intelligence Synchronization. But above all, the feature Gavin was most proud of was the "Flight of the Aquila", which was used in accordance with his weapon: the dark energy weapon boomerang known as the Aquila. With everything was set for him to join Captain Elric Malcolm aboard the starship Glory 7 and explore the Milky Way! ...that's how it was supposed to go anyway.

Unfortunately for Gavin, another pilot was applying for the same position of main pilot of the Glory 7. When the two confronted one another, the debate/debacle ended up in a race...a cruiser race. Each pilot would get in their respect cruisers and the first one to go from one end of the city to back to where they were, would end up becoming the pilot. Gavin, of course, was over confident in his skills and he and VEX took on the challenge. Unfortunately, the opposing pilot, Bradshaw Lindi, messed with Gavin's cruiser, by shooting an EMP wave his way. He was barely able to shield VEX and put him in safe mode during this. With this, Gavin lost the race and Bradshaw Lindi became the Glory 7's main pilot.

Gavin was crushed at this point, but was glad that he was able to keep VEX safe and not lose him during the EMP. Watching the Glory 7 leave orbit, Gavin was left with pretty much nothing else. For the moment, no other explorer class starships were leaving...that was his one ticket to sail the stars. What else was there to do? That's where things get interesting, actually. Gavin awoke from his sleep of that night to find himself within a new location...a new world. When trying to find specifics on his location, his MOVA and even A.I. couldn't give it to him. Where was he? How did he get here? All he knows is that a strange individual with a top hot, definitely shrouded in mystery, is the one who called for him to awaken.

  • Marksmanship
  • Piloting Skills
  • A.I. Maintenance
  • Arrogant in his skills

Weakness(es):

  • Gets easily attached to any ship he pilots
  • Arrogant in his skills

x393wz.jpgFighting Style:

Spoiler

The type of fighting that Gavin is accustom to is a mixed one of both ranged and close-combat. With the ranged style of combat, he utilizes his Orion Custom G-13 and his Aquila in order to keep his opponents at bay and at a distance.

At the same time, this doesn't mean Gavin is strictly a ranged fighter. With the fact of his Aquila being able to be utilized as an offensive weapon in close range, as well as his Dark Energy Shield. Aside from the weaponry, Gavin is able to hold his own in a close-combat fight with his bare hands. His specific style of fighting hand to hand is akin to that of kick-boxing.

x393wz.jpgWeapon(s):

Spoiler

Orion Custom G-13

Spoiler

dominator___psycho_pass_by_amaterasu111-

The Custom G-13 of the Orion series comes fully equipped with a thirteen round magazine. The G-13's most known feature is the Rapid-Fire Mode, which, once locked on to a specific target, will shoot most or all of the ammo into the desired target. The second feature of the Orion G-13 is the Stun-Gun Mode, which the secondary barrel of this mode is located under the primary gun's barrel, able to release a quick jolt of electricity to its target to stun them.

x393wz.jpgThe Aquila

Spoiler

5a86b7791b947e4cf778aa54dcff7d43-d3jo700

An unusual dark energy weapon that acts both as a melee weapon as well as a long-ranged weapon. When thrown, the dark energy motor it has, helps propel itself to a desired target. Not just being used as a long-ranged weapon, it has a buzz-saw mode, helpful when in a situation that needs some or any walls or doors cut through. Its melee purposes basically are to defend and to even strike back in a manner to that of a sword's blade. When unused, Gavin has it in its folded appearance hooked up to the bottom of his MOVA.

x393wz.jpgMOVA Feature(s):

Spoiler

Surveillance-Bots: A feature of the MOVA that sends out a series nanobots to survey an unknown area and from their data, be able to create a very detail-oriented map display of the entire area on the MOVA.

Artificial Intelligence Synchronization: Built into Gavin's MOVA is an Artificial Intelligence program that houses an A.I. known as VEX (Virtual EXperiment) who has served as Gavin's Co-Pilot/Wingman. VEX can upload himself (if able) into any ship that Gavin pilots to aid him with whatever he needs. While VEX is uploaded into the ship, Gavin can remotely interact with his faithful A.I. unit via the MOVA.

Flight of The Aquila: The latest feature to Gavin's MOVA, allowing his weapon The Aquila which is located on the underside of his MOVA to be fired from the MOVA itself. Once his MOVA gives Gavin the green light, after the targeting phase, The Aquila fires from the MOVA to its desired target.

Dark Energy Shield: The Dark Energy Shield program allows the MOVA to produce a protective panel of dark energy ranging from the size of a dinner plate to the height of the user's entire body. Of course, the bigger the shield means the more work the MOVA unit has to do which affects the cool down time. A bigger shield means the longer the user has to wait until a new shield can be produced. Onto the benefits of the shield, it will basically protect the user from most small and medium-sized firearms and even some types of explosives. A damage meter on the MOVA will let the user know when the shield has taken enough damage to disappear. The shield can even be color-customized to the user's liking. The color-customization for Gavin's MOVA Dark Energy Shield is white.

x393wz.jpgAbility(s):

Spoiler

Piloting Skills: His constant augmented reality training along with on the job training, has given Gavin the skills as a excellent pilot. His skills currently consist of evasive maneuvering in any situation, out flying other ships that try to take them on, as well as even being able to pilot any style of ship under the sun.

A.I. Maintenance: Due to his experience with his A.I. unit, VEX, Gavin is quite knowledgeable in working with A.I. and even keeping them well maintained. By spending his time with VEX, he has been able to know how to properly upgrade A.I., perform back-ups of the A.I., and even maintaining their programming protocol so they can live a long life (in A.I. years).

x393wz.jpgOther Informationx393wz.jpgGavin's Theme (Alternative) | Battle Theme (Alternative)

  • Gavin is a Welsh name for "White Hawk" as well as the late medieval form of the name "Gawain" from the Arthur legends and Shepard is an English name for "Sheep-herder". Shepard is also a reference of Alan Shepard, the first man in space. Shepard could also be a reference to Mass Effects' Commander Shepard.
  • Gavin's given Aliases Ace and Maverick mean the following: Ace being "a person who excels at a particular sport or other activity" and Maverick "an unorthodox or independent-minded person". Maverick is also a hint to his all time favorite old time movie Top Gun which feature's Tom Cruise's character with the same call sign.
  • Gavin's weapons are both named after their respective constellations of the same name: Orion Custom G-13 is named after Orion and The Aquila is named after Aquila.
  • His favorite color for any cruiser, starship, or type of spaceship to pilot happens to be crimson red. His reasoning: looking like a red comet exiting and entering any atmosphere/orbit.

Alright here's the deal. There's a chance we might need a new character soon. Even if that doesn't come to pass we don't have anyone in waiting for future "unlocked" characters.

So I'm hoping to get more apps.

Not just new people either.

I will also allow for second characters from my current group.

Now this being said I will only let in those I think I can trust to consistently post in a decently timely manner. I've been burned a lot in this by people not posting and the RP slowing. I've lost too many players which only makes things difficult in this kind of RP. This counts for those in the RP already who haven't shown decently consistent pace and activity.

So I intend to for this RP from now on only allowing in those I really think can keep up. It may sound rude and usually I'm more lax but in this case I feel it's for the best.

"Whatever you're about to say, make it wait until I get this stain out."

Name: S.T.A.N. (Stealth Termination Android)

Age: 67

Gender: Now I don't know if some newfangled machine comes in two genders, but in my day, we machines didn't have two of those. We didn't even have one! If you meet another bucket of bolts as old as me, it doesn't have a gender, and neither do I. I'm just Stan.

Occupation: Janitor/Cook

Appearance:

Spoiler

Tswlo0m.jpg

Stan's height of 5'8" isn't really anything special. However, because he is a robot, he's much heavier than a human his size would be. Although he was built with a thin frame, Stan still weighs in at a whopping 798 pounds of metal, wires, and more. As evidenced in the above image, Stan has a rust-colored red face that rests in front of a neck of black metal. It should be noted that this is merely paint; Stan's face isn't rusting any time soon, as he takes regular care of his body to prevent rusting. Observing the rest of his person would find that, much like his neck, most of Stan's body is black as night, with only his red face and the periwinkle-ish lights standing out from the lack of color over most of the robot.

However, Stan is getting old, and there are signs of this. The paint on his face is slowly but surely chipping away, revealing the real, black face underneath the cheery shade of red. There are also small parts of his body - especially his legs - where the metal outside has been damaged, revealing wires, pistons, and more just beneath the surface. The biggest "scar" on Stan's person is on his chest, revealing a bright core where a person's heart would be that acts as Stan's power source. Just on the rim of this hole in his chest is a small and, admittedly, rather shoddy stereo that often plays vintage jazz music, to make Stan's cleaning a bit more pleasant. Of course, this particular scar is often covered, but that doesn't mean much to his stereo.

Mechanical though he may be, Stan wears clothes just like anyone else. He tends to gravitate toward whites and light browns, with the exception of his black loafers. Stan's wardrobe may well have belonged to his creator once upon a time; much like the robot himself, his clothes are rather old and have seen better days. With a bit of stitching and sewing, however, he's done a remarkable job of keeping everything together.

Personality:

Spoiler

One would struggle to find a robot as lifelike as Stan. Fully capable of learning and simulating emotion, if it weren't for his appearance, one might question if he was even a robot to begin with. Of course, he still has some tendencies befitting of his mechanical nature. For one, he's got no sense of humor. Not only are his own jokes garbage - and not for lack of trying - but the jokes of others just don't stir up laughter from him like they would in a more organic audience. Time is also far less valuable to him than it is to humans. Although he's pretty grumpy, Stan's a pretty patient guy, since he won't get old and die like his fleshy counterparts. Not anytime soon, at least.

Speaking of time, Stan's had plenty of it to run around and experience life. In his eyes, everyone else is still young and growing, and one should expect his treatment of most people around him to reflect that. A quick way to summarize his attitude in that regard would be "grouchy grandpa". He tends to ramble without realizing it, and is all too likely to reminisce about what things were like back in his prime. But he means well, and when somebody needs an old robot at their back, Stan will be there and have them covered. He's also a pretty generous fellow, with little need for things such as money and virtually no value for time. As one could expect from a smaller machine, however, Stan's not too crazy about Mobile Suits or Gundams. They didn't need that nonsense back in his day, and they can still live without it today as far as he cares.

With that being said, no matter how much shit he talks, Stan loves humanity with all he can. He's just got an odd way of showing it is all. The way he sees it, the human race of a couple generations ago is almost like a mother to him; after all, without them and their engineering, Stan would never be created. In the same spirit, the humans of this generation coming up are like his baby siblings in a weird way. He's got to take good care of them, even if they make mistakes sometimes. If his face were made up of flesh and bone instead of metal and paint, there would likely be a smile on it at most times. Things were definitely better in his time, but when they're down, it's all the easier to go back up. He wants to be on good terms with humanity when that time comes, and make sure that the humans of the future don't repeat the mistakes of their ancestors.

Biography:

Spoiler

Don't let his current job fool you. Stan was initially designed for the express purpose of murder. Created by the brilliant engineer Francis Young in the year SE 132, Stan was the result of fifty years' worth of research, experiments, simulations, testing, and finally, building. The intent was to create a robot loyal to its creator, yet capable of having assassination services sold to high bidders so that an aging Young could live the easy life with his family with the money Stan brought in. Just a simple AI didn't suffice, however. Were it not for the immense amounts of work and research Young put into Stan's AI, the fifty-year project could have easily been completed in two or three years instead. Stan's selling point wasn't just that he was a robotic assassin who could kill with mechanical precision; it was that on top of that, he'd just keep on getting better.

Even including a pair of wrist blades and an encyclopediac knowledge of lethal weapons, Stan's most powerful tool was his AI. He did far more than just compute and analyze. Stan was loaded with countless routines and sub-routines for a plethora of situations, and was capable of adjusting his own AI based on past experiences. He was, for all intents and purposes, a legitimate learning robot that was even able to outfit himself with simulated emotions over the years. A couple demonstrations of his ability was all it took for people to line up. After all, there was plenty of blood to shed, and just as many shady folks willing to pay handsomely to see it happen. Stan's first contract was one his creator fully expected.

Stan was to kill his creator. After all, the technology behind his AI would be quite a thing to have; no doubt it would sell for a pretty penny and then some. The greedy son of a bitch, however, did not take into account that Young knew there would be plenty of people with that very thought in mind. While Stan did kill Young, as per his protocols, doing so triggered a very specific routine designed specifically to keep his hard work from falling into the wrong hands. Stan burned any blueprints, deleted any files, and destroyed any machines that had to do with the creation of his AI after Young's death, before departing to slay the very man who had set all this in motion. Once that was done, Stan was free to do as he pleased.

The problem for a robot with free will, however, is that it can be very hard to decide what to do with life. Stan knew that by all means he could have just continued his assassination career, but the problem there was that humans weren't so fond of their own being killed. And the way Stan saw it, he kind of owed them, what with the fact that he'd never have existed if a human didn't create him after so much hard work. So while Stan did still set out to terminate, he wasn't interested in ending lives anymore. Instead, Stan wanted to terminate stress, and he tried a variety of jobs to that end.

His career as a stand-up comedian was as laughably short as his four-day assassin career, as his jokes had a tendency to fall flat and leave the crowd unamused at best. It was as he tried jobs such as a chef, or a garbage man, or even one brief stint he had as a substitute kindergarten teacher, that Stan found his true calling in life. See, there are few out there who love humanity for the good and bad alike quite as much as Stan, and while he would have loved to just be a drifter, even robots have needs. To stay close to humans, relieve their stress, and keep himself well-taken care of all in the process, Stan wanted to be a butler. However, by the time he'd finished his schooling, the Scarlet War was drawing to a conclusion, and Earth wasn't in the best of states. Not exactly a place where one can find butler work.

Eventually, Stan found himself in the space colonies, hopping from ship to ship as he volunteered to join various crews of Vultures for days, weeks, or even months at a time. He's fully self-sufficient and costs crews nothing but a room to call his own and some social interactions, and in exchange, Stan's been known to clean the ship, cook for the crews, and if the situation demands it, eliminate intruders upon his current ship. He must have taken a liking to the Arrowhead's crew, since he's been with them for the last four years. Same as with any crew, he cooks, cleans, and if he must, he helps "handle" intruders. In exchange, he just needs a room of his own and a crew to work with.

After some time, however, even the Arrowhead's crew found themselves without Stan, as he found a ship that needed him more. His stay with that ship wasn't very long though. as it wasn't long before it was destroyed in the vacuum of space as it tried to escape a fight via a wormhole. Stan, the ship's sole survivor, passed through unharmed due to not suffocating in space, but the place he's come out isn't where the wormhole was supposed to take him at all. At least this world seems to be in better shape than the other ones he's visited. It's actually rather nice.

Skills/Specializations:

Spoiler

Wrist Blades & Proficiency: Any good assassin will want a weapon. S.T.A.N. has a pair of blades built into his wrists, and he knows how to use them. He's a deadly opponent in close-quarters combat, knowing exactly where to strike a human to incapacitate them fastest, or where to strike with a surprise attack to keep them from fighting back in the first place.

Weapon Expertise: Aside from his wrist blades, S.T.A.N. had a deep knowledge of many weapons and how to best use them programmed into him in case the wrist blades were unavailable. Swords, guns, knives, explosives, poisons, and more are programmed into S.T.A.N.'s vast knowledge in the art of killing. That said, he's only familiar with using lethal weapons; giving him something like a taser or pepper spray will confuse him, as those aren't weapons he knows how to use.

Domestic Skills: S.T.A.N. has had many jobs in the past and did some studying on how to become a good butler. He's good at cooking, cleaning, gardening; anything you could want from a butler and more. Also quite good with machines, being one himself.

Stereo: Something S.T.A.N. installed himself. He replaced the cloaking device from his assassin days with a small stereo in his chest that can play a few sound files he's collected over time. Seems that they're all vintage jazz music.

Shocking Choice

Spoiler

Name: Rozalin "Ross" Williams
Age: 19
Appearance

Spoiler

h3tNCRi.png?1
Height: 175 cm (5'8")
Weight: 61 kg (135 lbs)

Personality

Spoiler

While her attire and overall boyish looks and name would give off a sort of energetic vibe, she's a rather mellow individual. She has a fairly casual demeanor with just about everyone, and tends to be, at the very least, an approachable person. While she isn't one to shy away from others, she also isn't the most expressive with them and thus is hard to actually get to know.  Amidst all the crazy personalities of the DHG, Ross tends to keep a level head, and has an almost unnatural calm about her. While she does easily get annoyed by others, this is rarely ever accompanied by any sort of anger or blatant frustration, often being far more subdued in her reactions than most.

She is a person who very much needs to keep her mind occupied or distracted at all times. This manifests itself in a few different ways. While during her free time, if not currently occupied with anyone else, she'll simply be training. Whether it be physically or in regards to her demonic power, she just works towards becoming better. When it comes to mission time, she is focused on the task at hand and has her thoughts wrapped up in those as well. In addition, during said mission times, she tries her hardest in order to keep a calm attitude, not letting her emotions get the better of her.

While most hunt demons due to some sort of resolve or reason, Ross does it for far more primal reasons. All things demonic look like nothing more than some kind of grand meal to her. The bigger they are, the better they most likely taste. She is very aware of this bestial hunger and is very aware of how monstrous one must look when eating such a creature. While others may help others out of the kindness of their hearts, Ross tends to do it as a subconscious affirmation that she is indeed still human. And what may appear as a sort of calm, or even apathy, towards her fellow demon hunters it is really just her doing all she can to keep her emotions in check.

Bio

Spoiler

Born as Rozalin Williams, there wasn't much to be said about her childhood growing up that would have been out of the ordinary. She had grown up in a middle class family, went to a decently average school, got decent grades and had a nice circle of friends. The only thing that made her really stand out at all was her passion for running. For as long as she could remember, she had always had a passion for it, and would spend a good chunk of her days just running to wherever she felt like. This lead her into joining her middle school's cross country team once she was physically able to do so.

From then on, for the next three years of her life, she had practically devoted them to getting better. She wasn't the fastest. She didn't have the most endurance. Her form wasn't the greatest. And so she had to go and fix all of these things. As she continued to improve and improve, she graduated from middle school as one of the fastest runners in her grade level. Then once high school came around, she was already off to a much better start then she was in middle school. Already placing within the top 10 in races, she seemed to have a pretty bright future ahead of her. Then there came the day when she finished a race within the top 5, garnering the attention of a certain someone.

On her way home, she was greeted by the person she had just finished ahead of. He pulled her to the side and congratulated her, talking about her how great her potential was. The talk only seemed to get creepier as he started to talk more about her physical features, until he finally pinned her against a wall and talked about how delicious she'd be. Of course, Ross tried to struggle against him, and managed to stave off the, now known to be, F Class demon before he finally managed to overwhelm her. When he put his hand against her mouth to silence her, in one last desperate attempt she bit into it. As the blood entered her system, something seemed to overtake Ross. She kept biting into the hand, more and more, until the demon seemed to finally recoil back from the pain. With a new found predatory gaze in her eyes, Ross then rushed the demon and, with strength she wasn't quite aware she had, beat him into submission. With the demon basically just lying there, Ross simply let her instincts overtake her as she went to put her teeth into the demon and satiate her hunger.

Waking up the next morning in her house, Ross had been fairly shocked by what happened, thinking it only to be some kind of horrid nightmare, being reaffirmed in her thoughts by the lack any signs of fighting on her body. However, this was only momentary as she soon learned, that with blood red eyes and electricity crackling off her body, that what had happened last night was probably no mere dream. This was only strengthened by her now heightened awareness to the monsters that had, most likely, been there the whole time. And this only came along with a new found hunger towards said creatures. Realizing that she had become some manner of monster, Ross could no longer take living with her friends and family for fear of what might happen if they found out. And so she did the one thing she excelled at. She ran.

With nothing to her name, barely any money to spend and very little aside from the clothes on her back, Ross found living to be quite a chore. This coupled with some kind of sickness that would come along every few days, which seemed to make itself better whenever she gave into temptation and eat some kind of demon that had been around. And while being a complete bum seemed to be the only thing in store for her life, she was soon greeted with a person with eyes as red as her own who seemed to understand exactly what was going on with her. After explaining the situation to her and offering her to join the DHG, the choice seemed rather obvious. And so, at 15 years old, Ross accepted the proposal at became apart of the DHG.

Upon her third year with the DHG things started to pick up in pace  in terms of action, with the issue with demons and rogue hunters becoming greater and greater. Though there was a great deal of fighting to be done, when the dust had settled it had seemed that the threat in America was more or less dealt with for the time being. So, with troubles still being present around the world, Ross was assigned to a different branch and sent on a flight to a country she would never end up arriving to.

The Fighting Stuff

Spoiler

Demonic Taint: The thing that Ross derives her power from. In Ross's case she derives her powers of lightning and electricity from it. This allows itself to manifest in a few ways :

  • Lightning Bolt: As simple as it sounds. Ross charges up lightning in her palms and fires it outward in a straight line towards a target.
  • Arcing Bolt: As lightning bolt but rather than move in a straight line it arcs towards its target. Due to the arc it travels slower than regular Lightning Bolt
  • Electrocute: A more melee equivalent to Lightning bolt. Ross can let copious amount of electricity flow through her body and into a target she's touching. This can also be used to give objects she's holding a more  shocking property.
  • Lightning Dash: Ross charges up her body with electricity and does a brief, high speed dash in a straight line. This distance closed by this is short and because it is a dash Ross must start on the ground in order to use it.
  • Magnet Pull: When Ross strikes something with her electricity a little bit of residual electricity is left behind. After hitting something with electricity Ross is able to subtly guide it or herself, or both, towards one another. The more electricity is pumped into the other end of this magnet the stronger the pull is. Overall, though, it generally can only slightly influence direction or speed towards one another.

Not a result of her demonic taint, but Ross's weapon of choice is what looks to be a pipe made of some kind of "hell metal." It's like metal. Only more demonic. Spooky. The pipe itself is much harder then steel and makes for an excellent conduit for Ross's powers. In addition, as it has been exposed to far greater amounts of Ross's lightning then anytihng else in existence, she can always use Magnet Pull on it, and it always returns to her at high speeds.

Other:

  • She gave herself the nickname "Ross" because she thought Rozalin sounded too proper and girly for her.

As much as I hate to say this, I'm quitting this RP. The only best ending for Angela can happen if I stop playing, after all.

It sucks feeling less and less motivated about something I used to be passionate about, but it's probably better than just dragging everyone else on my increasingly worse scheduling and interest.

I hope this RP will continue to live on.

Fuzzy, but Deadly

Spoiler
RVKKYVe.jpg
"You sure you want someone like me...in your guild?"
x393wz.jpgPersonal Informationx393wz.jpg

Name: Do'jhera Solmanrin

Race: Khepura

Age of Appearance: 25

Gender: Malex393wz.jpg

Appearance:

Spoiler

weretiger_by_koutanagamori-d30nyog.jpg

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 255 lbs

Do'jhera's fur resembles that of a Bengal tiger, namely due to the fact that his creator couldn't exactly get the fur to be the right shade of white for a Siberian tiger look. The eye color, although originally chosen for the Siberian look, the light blue color actually works well and brings a bit more life to Do'jhera as an online avatar. As such of Do'jhera's class of Duelist, his armor and general outfit is that of light armor, allowing him to strike quickly without being weighed down by the over-encompassing weight of the heavy armor. This armor style also allows Do'jhera not to overheat and keep cool in any given environment, however, in an arctic styled environment, Do'jhera would have a small problem. While his fur will keep him warm, it doesn't mean that he still won't freeze over time.

The earring in Do'jhera's right ear allows for a 10% resistance to fire-based attacks and increase Defense by 25%, while the necklace around his neck grants him a 10% resistance to magic and increase Stamina by 25%.

x393wz.jpgPersonality:

Spoiler

How to describe Do'jhera and by proxy his creator? The best words to use would most likely be energetic and determined. When a problem is before him, he'll do what he can to figure out the problem no matter what. A cycle of troubleshooting that he's kept with him that he's been using ever since he started working and fixing people's computers and laptops. At the time before the incident, he didn't tend to do anything regarding his troubleshooting abilities, only doing what he could to enjoy himself and have fun...same as pretty much anyone else. However, when the incident happened and those of his own class happen to be the first ones dropping like flies…

Now? Now he’s scared out of his mind. His still in development abilities of how to play the game are usually, at least in his mind, the anchor that weighs those around him down. He’s reliant on other players and those in the guilds he’s been in to help bail him out when he needed it. At the same time, he also feels incredibly responsible for the deaths of not one, but two guilds because of his inability to both fight on his own and his heavy reliance on others. Because of this, every single night he is haunted by this guilt in the form of gruesome nightmares, not letting him sleep much.

As a beginner, he is still learning how to get better as a player, if only to stop relying on others…just in order for them not to die because of him. However, if he does get in combat (because it is inevitable) he tries to plan his attacks accordingly and even does his best to assist his friends or party members in an assault when they need.

x393wz.jpgBiography:

Spoiler

"I...I just can't. Can't bear to think about those events..."

Before the incident, Do'jhera did plenty of mercenary work as his creator dictated, namely for a guild that he joined known as BladesOfFate. After all, these quests of collecting bounties yielded plenty of Crescents for him and the guild. Of course, he was still learning how to work in these MMORPG type games, so needless to say he was relying on his allies quite a bit. However, the Bluefire incident took a turn for the worst...trapping him and many other players in the game.

Unfortunately for him, those of the Duelist class began to die off first. He became afraid, actually worried that individuals were literally dying in this once harmless game. This prompted him to lose focus when it counted the most, and it’s because of this loss of focus where the BladesOfFate guild died during a raid. This haunting scene was one that showed him that this problem with Bluefire was indeed real and quite deadly. He began to blame himself for the loss of his guild-mates and from then on, he would always be haunted by the images of his allies…just because he wasn’t focused and couldn’t do anything without relying on his allies.

At this point, he headed to Niska and tried to make a small living there, even possibly learn new skills to help him. While in Niska, he learned how to effectively fish and even cook, becoming competent now in working with these two skills. As days passed, he found himself in the company of another guild who was recruiting members, Forté. At first he was hesitant about joining a new guild, the guilt of his previous guild and his inability to do much still tugging at his tail (no pun intended). Nevertheless, he joined Forté and they actually did very well. They completed the one quest from Niska which gave him an armor set and weapon set that would definitely benefit him in the long run. Not only this, but the guildmaster of Forté even bestowed Do’jhera with two items that he created to help the Khepura with the race and class weaknesses he had. He and the guildmaster, a human avatar known as WolfSlayer78, started becoming friends and for once…he felt like things were beginning to look up for him. Unfortunately, reality returned with a vengeance. This was the first siege that he had been in and it was something he never wanted to ever experience. Forté was struck down without so much of a second thought in this siege…and where was Do’jhera? He was running out of Niska after watching half his guild fall…namely watching WolfSlayer78 die right in his arms. This was a second guild…the second group of friends he watched die. After the siege subsided, he would return, but even more guilt would plague him.

As time passed, albeit slowly for someone in the virtual world, he chose to stay in the Haven of Niska for a while, if only to do some business with his fishing and cooking skills. Surely someone was willing to pay for his services with these skills, others did. Occasionally, he would roam around the Havens just to make sure he was away from the sieges. Though at this point, he felt it might be better that way. It seemed like he was only a bad-luck charm, a total newbie who probably couldn’t survive out on his own and only got the things in his inventory and skill list because of his allies.

However, on his way towards Aegis Tower, he got the ping and the unread message on the board. This message would lead him to join the guild known as Ithaca. Although he’s hesitant, he knows deep down that he needs to go…if it’s an opportunity to finally leave Bluefire…he needed to go.

He began to work with a guild known as Ithaca and they were actually quite a guild, though try as Do'jhera might...he was still hesitant on acting at all. After all, he could've messed up. However, on a mission back in Niska and completing that mission, which oddly was to buy a house that was haunted in a sense...that night, Do'jhera fell asleep. During the night, he awoke to attempt to do some midnight training, though when he opened the door of the house...he found himself no longer in Bluefire...only being brought into an empty room...only housing a strange top hatted individual.

Name: Isaiah Evans

Gender: Male

Age: 23x393wz.jpgBiography:

Spoiler

At the beginning, Isaiah didn't play too many RPGs or MMORPGs when he was gaming. To be truthful, he tended to pay normal beat-em up games and fighting games in general. These were stuff he was good at, he didn't exactly have a huge grasping knowledge of the whole RPG element in games, the weapons, the buffs and debuffs, etc. Sure, he watched the games played by his friends and even commented on the overall narratives of said games and even the graphics were fantastic, but they never could quite grasp his full attention...especially when working around as a computer repair man.

Eventually, however, a few friends got an RPG in Isaiah's hands and told him that they wanted him to play and join their guild. With this day being Isaiah's day off (more like it was a slow day and no one was having computer issues), he begrudgingly accepted and entered the doorway of an RPG game. And from his first character created, he found that things were a lot more interesting in these fantasy games. What was more, Isaiah's friends introduced him to another concept: Beta-Testing. Inquiring more about this, Isaiah found out that when a beta for a game comes out, individuals known as beta-testers jump on the games in order to give feedback to the game developers...and get paid for it.

Playing video games and getting paid? It was a dream job of Isaiah to do just that, so having an opportunity to do so, it would be just perfect! Within the next week of Isaiah being involved in RPGs and beta-testing, the beta for the new VRMMORPG: Bluefire. Taking this opportunity to get paid for being a beta-tester, Isaiah began planning a character. At first, none of the general races jumped out at Isaiah, until he found the race known as Khepura. Of course, at first he was looking at the race benefits and weaknesses. But then he figured it would probably give him incentive to try and get better and even better his own character. This is when Do'jhera Solmanrin, the Duelist Khepura was created.

Upon entering, Isaiah was in complete awe at the fact that he was, in a sense, his own character in a fantasy environment. Through the next few days/weeks, Isaiah as Do'jhera checked for the countless bugs that would be found in the Duelist class, Khepura race, and even the game itself. After the beta closed, Isaiah got his paycheck from the Bluefire developers and they encouraged him in the e-mail sent to return when the full game released. Of course...he would do it.

Unfortunately for Isaiah's luck, he was trapped in the game when he logged in during the official release of Bluefire. Furthermore, those with his specific class: the Duelist, have seemed to be the first to die within hours of the game.

Do'jhera's Theme (Alternative) | Battle Theme (Alternative)

  • The full name that Isaiah's Khepura character has is "Do'jhera Solmanrin".
  • The name was used by the Fantasy Name Generator, under the Elder Scrolls Khajiit names. This is due to the fact that Khepura and Khajiit are quite similar, due to the fact that they both can see better at night with Night Vision as well as their unarmed combat with their claws.
  • The name "Do'jhera" actually shows what Isaiah's character does. In the language of Khajiit, Do' is a specific prefix that indicates their position, which in this case, it means warrior.
  • The weapons Do'jhera is equipped with is a reference to a Elder Scrolls: Skyrim weapon set in Solstheim for the quest known as "Deathbrand". From it the Dragonborn ends up getting the weapons of a famous pirate king, twins swords known as "Bloodscythe" and "Soulrender". However, to keep from specifics of the swords, I changed the abilities of the blades Do'jhera wields.
  • An alternate appearance for Do'jhera was this. If this appearance was used, it would've been a reference to the character known as Yohei/Mercenary from the Grimoire of Zero.

Shocking Choice

The decision is made. Ross will be the new 8th Power Ranger character. In my next post I'll "summon" her to the RP.

The others I have to think on a bit more and then potentially put them in as reserve characters for later.

As interest and motivation in this seems to be low and continuously trying to replace people is not really an option this RP will be closed for now.

Perhaps will be rebooted somehow down the line but for now let's consider the RP closed.

The Korova region, being much less tourist friendly than other regions, isn't one that many people travel to in this day and age. It wasn't prepared to take in visitors with much pomp and circumstances. It did however have one thing going for it when it came to visitors from other regions and that was New Point Landing.
Located at the western edge of an island, which was itself to the west of the mainland, New Point Landing was the main place for visitors coming into the region and it, at least, had a dock that ships could stop at to drop of passengers which was more than can be said about most of the rest of the region.
Once upon a time the city was the place to go for trading and shopping. These days it has fallen far from its high point and many of the stores are closed and boarded up. Awaiting a day that the region was more prosperous. Many of the remaining stores were family-run and managed by stubborn folk who refused to let the city fall completely off of its original purpose. There existed a singular, larger, department store where the rare visitors were able to get most necessities for their travels.
The ship that was currently coming into the dock was different than most that the city would usually see. It resembled a cruise ship more than anything else and instead of supplies from other regions it instead was full of trainers.
Unbeknownst to the people of the city, nor truly the trainers themselves, these passengers included those who would be much more precious to the region than any other cargo. For these trainers were destined to take part in a struggle that would determine the fate of the entire region.
Pokemon trainers from across the world all coming here with the purpose of taking on the Pokemon League challenge and becoming the Champion that the region has been lacking for many long years.

Anneliese looked out at the city that approached. Her eyes were shining with excitement as she watched the city, much different than Sunnyshore City back home, came closer and closer. "My goodness Leopold, how do you think the ship knows when to stop without any eyes?" She asked the small, lion-cub-like, Shinx that was currently standing next to her and watching with great concern as she leaned over the edge of the railing with no regard to her own safety.
The Pokemon had no answer for her. He didn't have any more knowledge than she did about ships and he wouldn't be able to bring himself to correct her if he did.
This didn't stop the girl from continuing her dialogue with the small creature. "Oh look over there, that's Goldeen right? My goodness there's so many of them. Leopold do you see them right there?" She leaned over the edge to point out the Pokemon swimming along the side of the boat. In doing so she went too far and very nearly tumbled off the edge.
Only stopped by Leopold biting the bottom of her dress and pulling the girl backwards. She stumbled but managed to avoid falling as she looked down at Leopold. "Oh, what's wrong?" She asked, oblivious to how she had almost fell into the water. "Did you want something to eat?"
Leopold shook his head and wondered where the other humans that he had gathered to keep an eye on her were. He could do most of it himself but when Anneliese was this excited sometimes it could get...difficult. When the captain had informed them they would be required to set off in groups of three, for safety reasons, Leopold at first blanched at the idea of trusting strangers to accompany his trainer but he realized that it was something he'd have to accept. As long as they kept Anneliese safe and happy, of course.
      ---
As the ship docked everyone would be helped off of it by the crew. They were greeted by a tall middle-aged, man with mutton chops of such grandeur that they were nearly indistinguishable from a full beard. "Hello, and welcome...to Korova! I got word of your arrival and sallied forth to greet you! I am the dockmaster here, and I wish to be the first to welcome you all to my fair city, the jewel of this region, in my eyes at least, New Point Landing. I'm sure you'll find it accommodating to your needs...You may not even want to leave, gwahahahaha!"
"Oh what a delightful man!" Anneliese said as she smiled brightly at him. She wanted to stop and chat with the pleasant man some more but another part of her wished to hurry off to begin her adventure.
It was then she remembered that she had teammates with her and so she turned to the two of them with an even bigger smile, "So, where shall we start?"
