Masaru had barely had the needle removed from his arm (or so he assumed because he kept both of his eyes screwed as tightly shut as he could) when Aria yanked him up and pulled him out of the room. “Ah!” he stumbled and almost fell on his way out. “Thanks for everything doc! Hopefully I don’t see you again anytime soon!” he shouted, and then the door slammed shut behind them.

Aria released his arm once they were away from the doctor. Her face was still bright red, though. Masaru frowned. “Hey, your face is really red. Are you sure you’re not getting sick? We can probably still go back and ask the doc--oh wait you’re not sick, you’re blushing, right?” He nodded sagely. “No worries. The doc was just havin’ some fun with us. Promise I’m not gonna make it weird or anything.”

He looked around the lobby. It was mostly empty, a few little robots zooming back and forth and tending to the few customers they had. “So… scared of needles huh?” he chuckled. “You mighta noticed but can’t say I care for them myself. They didn’t used to bother me but, well…” the metal of his arm rang out softly as he rapped his knuckles against it, “lose your arm and you get a lot more nervous about letting any sort of sharp metal things near you.”

"Hey yourself. My my am I popular tonight. Yes, I suppose I've seen both of you boys' faces around a couple times. I must admit I'm not all that interested in that sport of yours. But I won't deny it's popularity...for what it's worth. You want my name? I haven't told many people that. I find names so very...dull, and lifeless. So instead I choose to go by something else. You may call me Silver. I know, not the most creative, but it gets the point across doesn't it?"

Gavin heard the name of the young woman and his eyes almost stared into her soul. Silver? As in the person that apparently has ties to the casino owner, Colarata?? he thought, trying his best not to rouse suspicion at this point.

However...VEX on the other hand, went silent for the moment and was already doing something on his end...without Gavin knowing. "Of course, after being told that we should not intervene with this situation, the 'Silver' individual in question appears before us. Nevertheless, I shall rectify this and bring word to Mauvache. After all, this is a matter the police should handle, according to our esteemed ringmaster."

With that, the A.I worked up a message to Mauvache:

"Dearest Mauvache,

I wish to inform you of a recent predicament that has occurred. After our most recent meeting, Gavin decided to head with Cyan to Tegur's Bar, and apparently the individual he and Aurora were looking for that has connections with Colarata, Silver, has revealed herself as a patron of the bar. As per requested, we are not to deal with this situation ourselves, thus I am reporting this finding in order for you to go to the right channels in order to have her apprehended. I would, but alas, I am still currently learning how to utilize this world and the network it holds.

-VEX"

"That should do it..." VEX nodded, immediately sending it to Mauvache. "Apologies Gavin, but I prefer to keep you alive and not end up crossing this ringmaster..."

Meanwhile, Gavin was cautious to speak, but ended up clearing his throat after ordering himself a drink. "So what brings you around here, Silver? Not only that, why bother yourself with us if you don't have any interest in the sport?"

"Silver, huh?" Cyan said, smirking as he placed his hand on his chin. "I mean as far as color names go, it's not the worst. Least it ain't Grey!" He said, chuckling. Mysterious was definitely right - the only people who weren't fans of names were the type that were trying to hide something, as poetically as she tried to put it. Not that he minded - he actually had a bit of a thing for the mysterious kind of gal.

Gavin asked her what she was doing around these parts, to which she responded by raising an eyebrow. "Why, business of course. I don't need to enjoy the sport to know it's popular."

"Aw c'mon, I'm sure you have'ta enjoy it a little it." Cyan said, placing his elbow on the table.

"Not particularly, I don't see the thrill of it that others do. It's all so played up." Cyan chuckled softly.

"Not even when I'm on? What a shame!" He said with a playful tone.

"Don't worry, I'm sure there's plenty of ways you can become my favorite besides that." She said, causing Cyanthax's eyebrow to rise.

He grinned. "Is that so? Well why don't we start with some drinks?" Before waiting for her response, he turned towards the counter. "Hey! Can I get 2 drinks goin' here!?"

Silver laughed. "I suppose I can stay for a spell; but I'm a busy woman you know. And I wouldn't want to make your friend uncomfortable." She gave Gavin a side glance. Oh right, that idiot. He had, for a moment, forgotten he had came here with him.

Cyan chuckled, placing his arm on Gavin's shoulder. "Ah, he'll be fine!" He said, turning to him. "Ain't that right, Gav?" He grinned at the boy, waiting for either his answer or for the drinks to come through.

Aria

As the two of them made their way down the hallways, Masaru was the first one to start talking. “Hey, your face is really red. Are you sure you’re not getting sick? We can probably still go back and ask the doc--oh wait you’re not sick, you’re blushing, right?”

Aria started to say multiple different sentences, but found herself unable to actually say anything. Ultimately all she could do was realize that she was still holding Masaru's arm and abruptly let go and pull her arm in.

He nodded sagely. “No worries. The doc was just havin’ some fun with us. Promise I’m not gonna make it weird or anything.”

Aria took in a deep breath and let out a sigh. The red faded from her face a bit, though it was still tinged pink a bit. "Th-thanks. I'm not great with... those kinda jokes, or whatever."

For a moment, there was a silence as the two of them continued through the hospital. “So… scared of needles huh?” Masaru chuckled. “You mighta noticed but can’t say I care for them myself. They didn’t used to bother me but, well…” the metal of his arm rang out softly as he rapped his knuckles against it, “lose your arm and you get a lot more nervous about letting any sort of sharp metal things near you.”

"Yeah I don't... like 'em, but not really for the same reason, obviously," Aria laughed a little, before realizing the insensitivity of her joke and swallowed it back. "No, I'm just... really bad with the blood stuff. It's kind of a long story, though." Secretly, she hoped that she could leave it at that. "It's no big deal though, I'm doin' just fine so far!"

Girl's Evening

"There are limits to what they're capable of, but not all of them are created equal. Most of the time it's just part of life, but some people like to use their gifts purely for their own gain. In my world, there are also heroes dedicated to stopping them. It's like something right out of an old comic book, right?"

Morgan was sitting with one hand propping her head up, twirling her straw in circles. "Sounds pretty lame honestly. If you have the ability to why not use it for yourself? You're given it for a reason. It's not their fault that they got lucky. It's like complaining about someone winning the lottery and not giving it away."

"well, regardless of how weird different  they might be, glad to meet fellow earthlings in this weird place, oh, it's a lot later than I thought it'd be."

"Why're you glad? Honestly it's a little disappointing for me. I wanted to meet people from all over the universe but if we're all from the same place what's the point?" She paused. "I guess at least we can, I dunno, talk about movies easier or something."

The talk of time came at a surprise to Morgan. "Wow, can't believe I spent the entire day with you two. Consider yourselves blessed." She gave a wicked grin in Ross's direction. "Is it getting close to your bedtime?" She asked, clearly taunting her. "Scared of the dark, Miss Demon Fighter?"

Mauvauche glanced down at the message that she had received. She let out an annoyed hiss. "Why is he bothering me with this." Sighing she sent a simple reply.

"That woman has nothing to do with me; Tegur can handle her."

Though it did bring up the question of why the AI thought it important to single her out. What was it that Colrata had to do with all this again?

"Ah, whatever. If a problem pops up Nezar will make it disappear like always." Mauvache said, before turning back to her work.

"Hm, tag-team...it may be too soon for that with the new addition. But perhaps I should find a way to distract them from all these roster changes somehow...Damn that Angela..."

As Morgan seemed to be confused by Ross's relief at some familiar people, the demon hunter merely reclined back in her chair. "Well, I guess meeting different kind of people is all well and good. But being surrounded by nothing but strangers means you're the strange one too. And, to be perfectly honest, I've had quite enough of that. Though," stretching her arms behind her the girl said, "I suppose us being far from the majority is why we're here to begin with. Nonetheless."

As the topic had then shifted to one of Ross's thoughts on the time and Morgan's question of her being afraid of the dark, the girl's stoic expression didn't seem to change. "Not particularly. A blood drinker like myself must've spent a night or two in a coffin right? And those things are nothing but dark. And it's been a long day, so I could really use one of those." Resting her hands on the table, the girl leaned forward saying, "besides, isn't it scandalous for a princess like you to be out so late?"

"That woman has nothing to do with me; Tegur can handle her."

"Of course. And this, happened to be the reason Gavin and Miss Aurora were doing things the way they were." VEX sighed, reading this message from his datascape. "It is becoming clearer and clearer that this ringmaster truly has no desire to assist in any capacity for anyone."

Meanwhile, on the side Gavin was dealing with...

"I suppose I can stay for a spell; but I'm a busy woman you know. And I wouldn't want to make your friend uncomfortable."

"Ah, he'll be fine! Ain't that right, Gav?"

"Hey, hey! Two things...alright one." Gavin said, rolling his eyes some. "You in no way shape or form are making me uncomfortable. I was just...you reminded me of someone is all." That was pretty much the best lie he could really come up with. Most likely, they'd believe him...after all, aside from these newbies...he was still fresh off the ship of being a newcomer. "So don't worry about me. I'm perfectly fine."

"Sounds pretty lame honestly. If you have the ability to why not use it for yourself? You're given it for a reason. It's not their fault that they got lucky. It's like complaining about someone winning the lottery and not giving it away."

That was villain talk, no doubt about it. Were she living in Aurora's world instead of her own, Morgan would probably be in for a bad time. So it was probably for the best that Aurora and Morgan were from different worlds. It wasn't like people chose what powers to be born with, so of course it would be for the best to use an especially powerful Fragment for the good of others! But this wasn't the time to bring that up, because speaking of time...

"Well, regardless of how weird different they might be, glad to meet fellow earthlings in this weird place, oh, it's a lot later than I thought it'd be."

"Wow, can't believe I spent the entire day with you two. Consider yourselves blessed. Is it getting close to your bedtime? Scared of the dark, Miss Demon Fighter?"

As it turned out, it was actually getting kinda late. Aurora must have lost track of time somewhere, because it sure felt earlier than it was.

"Not particularly. A blood drinker like myself must've spent a night or two in a coffin right? And those things are nothing but dark. And it's been a long day, so I could really use one of those. Besides, isn't it scandalous for a princess like you to be out so late?"

Ross slept in a coffin? This girl was seeming more and more vampire-like by the minute, but she'd said she wasn't one, right? Weird. But this looked like a golden opportunity to have the tables turned on Morgan in conversation. Aurora simply couldn't pass this one up. "She's got a point," Aurora added, leaning forward onto the table. "I've heard of plenty of princesses before, but they've never been late-night types. You've got an image to keep up, don't you?"

Girl's Evening

Morgan rolled her eyes at the other two. "Coffin, puh-lease, I used to live in a crypt I know that no one sleeps in those. And just so you know I am NOT a princess. My father is much more powerful than any mere monarch." She tossed her hair. "But I suppose if you want to think of me as a princess you better start calling me 'your highness' fufufu."

With that the group got up and, with Morgan leaving her trash laying on the table, started to head out. "So, Ross, what do you think. Is this place less dull than where you're from?"

On the way out they could still see a crowd around where the Plants had been and would notice that ticket sales for a show they were playing at soon were nearly sold out. As they passed by one wild fangirl, practically foaming at the mouth, accosted the group.  "Hey, you, you've got money right? You have to you're, like, slightly famous or something right? Can you give me some. I GOTTA get some tickets. I just GOTTA. I would KILL for tickets! If you buy me some I'd owe you one...please? I don't have money, and I don't like crowds, but I MUST SEE THEIR SHOW."

Tegur's Bar

"You in no way shape or form are making me uncomfortable. I was just...you reminded me of someone is all."

The girl tittered and leaned in closer to him, placing a hand on his arm. "Oh, I do? Who's that I wonder? Perhaps a girlfriend from back home, hm?" She said, gazing up at Gavin with playful, but sharp, eyes.

Tegur placed the drinks down rather loudly, catching her attention, and causing her to lean back a bit to take a drink.

"I didn't expect ye'd stay much longer." Tegur said bluntly. "I'm sure ye have something more important to do than bum around here..." Then, realizing what he said, he looked to Cyan and gave a laugh, "Oh but when you do it it's not bumming, gwaahahahaha!"

The girl smirked back at him. "Oh dear Tegur, I wouldn't want to ruin these two handsome boys' night just because of a little business you know. If they want me to stick around I don't mind. At least for now. Perhaps they'll want a favor done that I can help with. Everything can be a business transaction if done right."

"But I suppose if you want to think of me as a princess you better start calling me 'your highness' fufufu."

"I'll pass." A princess Morgan most certainly wasn't. She'd seen them in storybooks when she was a little girl. Good princesses, evil princesses, Morgan didn't really seem to fit the bill for any of them.

"So, Ross, what do you think. Is this place less dull than where you're from?"

Honestly, Aurora would have been surprised if this place wasn't as exciting as Ross's world. Although, the not-vampire had been pretty full of surprises since showing up, so maybe that was precisely the case. Whatever it was, Aurora didn't pay much attention to Ross's answer. Instead, the hero-to-be's focus was on something else. Another Plants in Pants poster, for an upcoming show. And the rabid fangirl that seemed desperate to get her hands on a ticket for a show that was starting to sell out.

So desperate she was, in fact, that she approached the trio of Arena fighters, begging them to buy her a ticket. Aurora looked at the price of admission. 100 points. Not quite within Aurora's budget. "I'm... actually a bit strapped for cash myself right now," Aurora confessed to the rabid Plants fan. "If you can meet me here tomorrow though, and there's still tickets available, I should be able to cover you." Transferring or pooling points didn't quite work, as Aurora recalled. Otherwise she would've been happy to do that with this girl if she had the other points. With a light nudge to Ross's arm, Aurora continued "Unless one of y'all two are feeling generous today, at least."

Leaning back in her chair, shrugging her shoulders as Morgan told her that no one slept in coffins. "Well, you got me there Princess." Ross had to admit something. She had figured she knew what kind of person Morgan was from just a few minutes of talking and a movie. And while she had seemed to still have the basic idea down - not actually expecting her to be an actual witch - she had to admit that the more Morgan described her life back home the more...confusing she was. All the same, Ross got up from her chair, taking her own trash and throwing it away before following the rest of the girls out.

As they were leaving, Ross was then surprised again as Morgan asked what she thought of the place she had found herself in. Thinking on it for a moment the girl said, "well, it's familiar enough but I don't think I ever had living plant boy bands or movies quite like that from back home. As far as daily living goes here I imagine this place is a lot more, um, unique then Earth. But well, I haven't been eaten by a five story tall monster yet so I'd say it breaks even to be about the same." With a small grin on her face, she then looked to Morgan saying, "but, I suppose if everyone's as varied as the three of us, then it'll probably make up for the lack of daily monsters in no time."

The girl's were then stopped by a sight far more terrifying then the daily demon could ever hope to be. As the overly eccentric and eager girl asked them for funds to see the pant plant band. As Aurora seemed to be low on funds she then deflected the loaning of money to the other two. Ross, who was pretty sure she was not included in this "celebrity" description, held her hands up. "I just got here, so it's not like I have money either." Looking to the girl, feeling a strange sense of pity for her and like if she didn't get her ticket she'd curse Ross's bloodline...more...the girl asked, "are like, concerts a rare thing or something?"

Girl's Evening

Before the strange fangirl came and accosted them Morgan examined Ross closely. Trying to determine how much of what she said was a joke. "Well, nothing like that here from what I saw.Though I've heard rumors about a mine filled with strange monsters...well, in any case, if those plants were enough to impress you you've got a loooong ways to go still."

---

"I'm... actually a bit strapped for cash myself right now. If you can meet me here tomorrow though, and there's still tickets available, I should be able to cover you."

The girl's eyes, which were almost fully covered by her bangs, flicked to the side and Aurora would barely be able to hear a muttered "She's just saying that to get rid of you."

"I just got here, so it's not like I have money either. Are like, concerts a rare thing or something?"

At first the girl swelled with indignation, and a wave of hostility emitted from her. Then... "Well...no." She admitted. "But it's not like it happens every week! I need to go...I've never missed one before. But my mom froze my account. Just because I bought life sized replicas of the group..."

"Guys can we just go before I get loser all over me?" Morgan said haughtily.

The girl shuffled towards her, not looking directly at the witch, and seemed like she was prepared to say something. Morgan simple smirked at her and stared down at the girl, waiting, waiting, until the girl backed away and muttered. "I see how it is. I can tell when I'm not wanted. But I'll be back. Oh I'll be back..." She then shuffled backwards away and into the crowd once more.

Morgan shrugged. "Well, that was easy." Then, in a much more chipper tone than before, as if that moment brought back her cheer, said "well now what? Do you all plan on heading back to your rooms? Oh, I suppose you still need to find yours don't you?" She nodded at Ross. "I want to be there when you meet....him." then she gave an ominous laugh and, her hair whipping in the process, spun around and sat on her broom before hovering off and out of the mall.

Ross looked to Morgan as she made her comment towards the girl, wondering if she was from 30 years in the past with the way she spoke. As the fan eventually shrunk away though, Ross was left with a mix of feelings. On the one hand, she was certainly and devoted and probably wasn't good with people in general, so she felt sorry that she couldn't help her. On the other hand, she was kind of creepy and just kind of accosted them out of nowhere, so that was certainly a point against her. All the same, the girl just looked on curiously as she shuffled away, turning her attention back to Morgan as she talked about rooms.

Shrugging she said, "well, I imagine they aren't that hard to find but..." She raised an eyebrow at the girl's last comment. Looking to Aurora, as if trying to get an explanation, the girl simply shrugged. "Well, I need to know where to sleep anyway. So let's get going and meet this mystery person." With that, Ross began to make her way out of the mall.

Well, the encounter with a rabid fangirl had been brief, and rather strange. Did she really buy life-sized figures of the plants? That was kind of obsessive. Maybe she would do well to go see someone about that. But who was Aurora to judge?

"Well now what? Do you all plan on heading back to your rooms? Oh, I suppose you still need to find yours don't you? I want to be there when you meet....him."

"Well, I need to know where to sleep anyway. So let's get going and meet this mystery person."

Come to think of it, it would be interesting to see Ross's reaction to meeting Gnash. He was a nice guy and very sweet, but his appearance could certainly be off-putting the first time somebody met him. Aurora remembered being pretty shocked to meet him at first. Hopefully that little ice sculpture she'd given him hadn't melted. She did try her best to make it special, but at the end of the day, Aurora was just a girl with ice powers. She wasn't a god. If it had melted, she could always make a new one though! As Aurora followed out of the mall, she made a mental note of how to get here. She wasn't sure if that fangirl would actually show up like Aurora had offered, but if she did, Aurora wanted to be able to lend a helping hand like she'd promised.

"We should do some actual shopping here sometime, when we've all got more points," Aurora suggested. And perhaps they could bring that other girl along too! Her name was... Aria, right? But that would have to be some other day. Today, Aurora was tuckered out from all the fun she'd had out in town. She wanted to get back to her room, lie down, and have a nice, peaceful sleep.

"Aww, you've got someone back home?" Cyan sarcastically remarked, chuckling. "Yer probably tryin' real hard to get back then, huh?" He laughed a bit more, but before anyone could say anything, the drinks came in. "Ah, finally!" He said, grabbing his drink from the group and swinging it. He turned to Tegur, chuckling. "Hey now, if it were up to me I'd be kicking ass right now instead of bummin' around!" He said, laughing as he shook his drink around.

He turned back to Silver, chuckling. "Well, we wouldn't want to keep ya from yer work for too long." He raised his glass towards her. "Whatever it is that you do." He took another swing from his glass, before giving her a curious look. "Actually what is it that you do?" He pointed the finger that was holding the glass. "An' don't just say business." He said with a chuckle.

She leans towards Cyan, looking up at him from under her eyelashes. "Business." She says. Then, smirking, "I help run the casino in the city, but I have my toes in a few other ventures. Hard for a woman like me to be satisfied after all."

"Ooh a casino!" He said, shaking his mug around. "I went to a casino not too long ago. Mighta been the same place." His grin faded slightly as he remembered what he had seen at the casino place. "I hope it wasn't anyways." He turned back to Silver. "Place I went to had fairies doin' work they weren't cut out for. Poor things could barely carry the plates 'round."

"Oh? Is that so?" She said, her expression not changing.

"Yeah!" He said, slamming the mug back on the table. "When I saw that shit I was furious! I wanted to burn down the place so badly..." He let out a sigh, picking up his mug from the table. "...but that wouldn't have help anybody. Plus I'd be stranded on some... planet..." He muttered the last part, shuddering as he remembered about the whole planets thing. "I just wish there was something I could do about it, ya know?"

"Well now, didn't expect you to be such a bleeding heart." She said, before going silent for a bit. "You know, your employer probably could do something about it. But she hasn't. I wonder why that is."

He let out a sigh. "Who knows what that bi... woman... is capable of." He said, leaning back. "Although I've never thought to ask her..." He said, placing his hand on his chin. "Ya know, that ain't a bad idea."

"I wonder how she'll react to that." Silver said, ominous chuckling.

"Huh? What's that suppose to mean?" He said, before shaking his head. "Ah, who cares! I'll worry about that shit later." He said, his face shifting back to his iconic grin as he glanced down his now mostly empty mug. "Right now the only thing I'm worried about is runnin' out of drink!"

Girl's Night

"Well, I need to know where to sleep anyway. So let's get going and meet this mystery person."

Morgan grinned. "Very well, then let us be off!" She was a bit sad that the girl scout would be coming along. She was bound to ruin any potential fun Morgan would have with the Grand Reveal. But she could still try couldn't she?

On the way there she told the girl, "Just be sure not to stare too much. Who knows what would happen to you if you did. But I'm sure it'll be fine....probably."

Upon reaching the arena they found that the arena itself was closed for the night. "I always wondered what it is like after dark...maybe some other day." They had to enter through the apartment doors instead.

Entering the, still rather unusual, elevator, with its many buttons going in directions beyond up and down, Morgan brought them to the lowest level where the security station was.

"We should probably stay back." Morgan told Aurora. "I'm sure it will want to talk to her herself. You know. To make sure she isn't a problem."

With that she directed Ross towards the security station. No one was there but, if Ross hit the button that was labelled "If service is needed, Gnash, the beholder security guard, would lower from an opening on the ceiling of the security station, having been on another floor, and turned towards the girl.

With its many eyes, large, sharp, teeth, Gnash looked completely monstrous. Even his grin, meant to be friendly, would appear more savage and hungry.

And then he opened his mouth.

Spoiler

I want Ross's reaction before he talks which is why I cut it off here. Feel free to get dialogue whenever. (And if you want Aurora to say stuff to Ross/Morgan before this point, Yui, let both me and Skaia know so he can include it in his post.

"Aww, you've got someone back home? Yer probably tryin' real hard to get back then, huh?"

Gavin laughed a bit, trying to play it off. Ehehe...yeah...that's it... he thought, taking his drink and immediately starting to take swigs from it. Sorta WISH I had that to be completely honest...but then again, someone like her wouldn't remind me of anyone. Just wish someone didn't tie my damn hands back..."You are a Fighter...leave this situation to law enforcement!"...yeah right. Just cause you don't think we need to do that, doesn't mean you know best.

He just continued to sit in silence and listen to Cyan and Silver talk. Honestly he had nothing else to contribute at this point. What was the point of making small talk to a potential helper in an investigation that he and Aurora were working with and immediately told to drop? He didn't feel like acting friendly to someone who owns that casino and he certainly didn't feel like putting himself in this position.

After finally finishing his drink, he paid his tab and pretended to get something on his watch. "Damn, wish I could stay longer...being called for a few things. Catch ya later Cyan. And it was nice to meet you Silver." he said, waving farewell and immediately making his way out of the bar.

As Ross followed Morgan along, the girl was still skeptical about what it was the girl actually wanted to show off. She wasn't quite sure how much of a prankster Morgan actually was, having just met the girl, but she was certain that she was up to something. All the same, as she gave her advice to not stare too long at it, she couldn't help but wonder what kind of person it was that she was going to meet. As Morgan and Aurora stood back, Ross sighed, simply wanting to get it over with and walked forward into what appeared to be some kind of service desk area. With no one around, the girl pushed the button and waited for a few moment before seeing the horrifying sight descend down from above at her.

The girl looked at the strange and, frankly, horrifying creature. Having fought many monsters in her time and being as emotionally controlled a person she was, Ross wasn't exactly terrified by the creature. That being said, the many eyed large fanged creature was certainly something creepy even amongst the plethora of demons she had seen. And though she knew she wasn't home, she couldn't help but let instinct take over as the creature approached her. Her hand reached to her back, simply grabbing at nothing as the pipe that she normally used to fight was not on her person. So instead, she simply slid one foot back and readied herself to see move if the creature had done anything. Her stare becoming more intense as her eyes flitted between each of its eyes, as the creature finally opened its mouth and -

"Well howdy there, strrranger!"

Ross's eyes softened as they went from serious to more confused and in disbelief than anything else. Her foot as well continued to slip back, as the shock of the creature's unbelievably cartoonish voice had caught her so off guard that she nearly tripped over herself. As she tried to right herself upright, holding up a finger as if she were about to ask something, she could hear Morgan's cackling from behind her.  "I'm so- wh- hello?"

The strange and monstrous creature continued floating there harmlessly. "Yes, hello, who are you, and what can I do you for?"

Simply putting a palm to her face, still trying to grasp the situation, the girl simply said, "sorry. I'm Ross. I'm uh, new here. I just," she shrugged as if she didn't really know the answer herself. "I guess I just came here to say hello."

"Well isn't that nice of you. Hello Ross, I'm Gnash, the security guard! Are you gonna be staying with us? How swell!"

Shaking her head she said, "yeah, pleasure to meet you too Gnash. I'm one of the new fighters here so, however long that career lasts I guess that's how long I'm staying here."'

"Whoa, another new one? Incredible! Well then come on over and we'll get you all set up with a room."

Sighing she said, "yeah, thanks." Walking over with Gnash, a very bizarre experience to say the least, the girl simply let the creature examine and fiddle around with her watch. After scanning it with a machine of his, the security guard eventually told her that everything was ready, and she now had an idea of where it was her room was. So, leaving the room, she gave a wave to Gnash, still feeling awkward and confused about the whole thing she said, "uh, yeah. Thanks again. Gnash. Um, later." She then looked over to Morgan, having half a mind to flick the girl in the forehead. But, she didn't. She didn't even look annoyed, and instead unnervingly calm. Simply staring at the girl for a few seconds before looking between the two saying, "well, I think I'm about ready to head off to bed now."

Day 8, ?:00, Arena
Points: 61

W/L Record: 3/3

"We should probably stay back. I'm sure it will want to talk to her herself. You know. To make sure she isn't a problem."

Gnash isn't an it. He's a person same as us, and not even a bad one. Somehow, Aurora got the feeling that voicing such sentiments wouldn't really do much. It was best to just watch Ross's meeting with Gnash. Even if she didn't share Morgan's opinions on the monster, she had to admit, she was also curious to see how it would go. They exchanged some words, Ross received her key, Gnash seemed surprised that another new fighter had shown up already (not that Aurora blamed him), and ultimately, the whole thing went off pretty smoothly.

"Well, I think I'm about ready to head off to bed now."

"Yeah, me too." Aurora would be a busy girl tomorrow. A regular fight, her event match, seeing if that Plants in Pants fangirl would actually show up at the mall... talk about a schedule! It still felt like a waste of her talents to use them for something like arena fights instead of the hero work she'd been studying up on back home, but Mauvache had made it pretty clear that that wasn't her place in this world. "Good night." Aurora needed to get some rest. Time to head back to her room.

"well, I think I'm about ready to head off to bed now."

"Try not to have any nightmares." Morgan said teasingly. On the way out she noted, "you know, I thought you looked rather plain, but your reaction to Gnash was ALMOST cute." With that the girls separated and went to their respective beds. Morgan tossing her clothing to the side as she flopped onto her too-large bed and drifted off to sleep.

The fighters began their day, once again, with a message from Mauvache.

Good morning fighters! Today starts a brand new week of battles. I hope you all show the audience why you're the best in the business! That being said I am sending this message to inform you that I will be away on some business. If you have something you need to bring up feel free to bring it up with my assistant, Tia (number included). She is capable but young so I hope you treat her well and with the respect you'd give me while I am gone.

---

Morgan woke up close to noon. Though woke up wasn't entirely accurate. Her eyes were open and she was moving about but there was a blank look in her eyes and a slowness to her movement as she got showered, in the joint showers, curse the cost of a room shower, and dressed. Even after she had prepared for the morning she had a sleepy look to her and would continuously yawn as she left the apartments to grab some food. She found what looked like a rather simple cafe and ordered a muffin and latte.

She slowly started to become more aware as she sipped at her drink. The cafe was small, its booths had tall backs to allow for some measure of privacy, and one wall was covered in books. Real, physical, books, with a sign declaring people could read them at their leisure as long as they didn't take them or damage them.

It was a basic place but it felt nice. Morgan decided she'd stay here for a while as she waited for someone to challenge her for the day. Only remembering to check her messages once she had been there for fifteen or so minutes.

---

The news stations, which would have broadcasts in various places in the city, including the televisions in the arena, seemed to have only a couple main stories of interest.

One was in regards to Officer Kate, the android police officer who had been attacked several days ago. Evidently she had been released with little in lingering damages. Though she didn't remember much about the attack. Except that she had been speared in the chest "As if by a lance that almost unnaturally found its way to her heart." Some had suspicions about this especially after the disappearance of Arena Fighter, Angela, but the police assured them that there was no connection. Though as they couldn't find any more evidence they were calling off the case.

The chief was noted to have said "We couldn't find a link to the murders in the bar so it isn't like whoever did this is targeting flesh and blood people."

The other, less serious, story was in regards to the TV Station. Which supposedly was airing a series of "Rap Battles" that was open for entrants.

Spoiler

Alright folks here we go. Hopefully people can post consistently and prove that this RP isn't just dying. There's some bits of info here and there but, as always, lets try and get the battles figured out soon even if you don't go right into the fights.

With a groggy groan, Ross awoke in the morning, rolling over in her bed. However, she was met with a small fact that she hadn't really remembered this early in the morning. Her bed was small. She was soon reminded of this fact, however, as she rolled off the side of the bed, landing with a thud on the ground. Groaning again with a small, "ow," Ross slowly lifted herself off the ground. Rubbing the arm that had hit the ground, the girl then rubbed her eyes trying to get herself awake only to  then hear a message come from her wrist. Looking at her wrist, seeing the strange looking watch on it, looking around the room the girl suddenly was hit with a wave of memories. "Right, right."

She was in a strange new world, here to partake in gladiatorial combat. She was hired by a magic magician screen woman who teleported her here. She hung out with a girl that was a mutant and a witch in a mall. They had a beholder for a security guard. And her room was like a prison cell. The movies were pretty decent too.

Getting her bearings, still trying to wrap her head around this new reality she had found herself in, she looked back to her watch. Apparently she had a message from her boss, saying she was out of town now. Well, it wasn't as if Ross had any pressing issues to bring  up to the woman anyway, so she didn't think much of the message. Instead, she had a different matter. She had excused herself for it yesterday as she was suddenly poofed into a new world, but Ross was not about  to skip her morning routine two days in a row. Looking at her watch, the girl found that there was an athletic center she could go to. Figuring that she could get in a good jog, the girl began to walk out of her room, and make her way through the apartment complex. As she got into the elevator to go down, she was met with the sudden sight of a different girl then she had met before.

The girl herself could've been intimating: she was tall, seemed rather built, long black hair, a set of two horns and long blue scaled tail behind her. This sight was only offset by the incredibly cheery and jovial expression on her face, and the girl herself waving to Ross cheerily as she walked into the elevator. Feeling a bit awkward, and also glancing back and forth at the girl's inhuman features to tell if they were indeed real, the girl kept silent. The other, more draconic girl, however did not. "Hello there!"

"Hey," the girl gave a small wave back.

The dragon girl seemed to keep examining Ross, making the girl only more uncomfortable, before she brightened back up saying, "I'm Xia! I haven't seen you before, but if you're here then we must be living mates!"

As Xia stuck out her hand to shake, Ross took it saying, "yeah, I'm Ross. Just moved in yesterday. Work and all."

"Oooooh! Well, I work here too! It's been really fun so far and I get to meet so many new people! Like Morgan, and Aurora, and Gnash, and Cyan, and Masaru, and Snowball, and - " The girl was cut off as the elevator door opened. "Oh, I should get off here. Well, nice meeting you Ross!" The girl gave a wave and made her way out of the building. Ross, wanting to exit through the same door but feeling awkward about doing so, simply waited where she was.

"This place is weird."

Beginning to make her way out of the building, the girl began to make her way down the street as she looked at her watch. She hadn't done much familiarizing herself with it yesterday, having been out all day, and so she simply took the time to play around with it. Looking at it, she realized that she had to sign up for a match for the day as well, either by challenge or simple random assortment. While she could've just picked any random person, she figured getting herself familiarized with the battling of her work with an acquaintance would work better for her. Looking between the two people she knew, Ross decided on Morgan, simply sending the girl a small message.

Yo. It's Ross. Wanna battle today?

ztHNuPq.png?1

Xia felt a small nagging sensation after her exchange with Ross. She had felt as if she had heard the name before, but couldn't quite figure out where. Well, she seemed nice anyway, and Xia always enjoyed new people. All the same, the girl began to make her way through the city. She didn't really have a goal in mind, but figured it'd be fun to go and look at the shrine again. She was always curious to learn more about dragons, and if there were more dragons in this city then it would be even loads better. Plus last time she had went there was nice person as well, so that would always be fun too!

Looking at her watch, the girl figured she still needed to sign up for a fight, and so, tapping on the watch she started to send a message.

hiiiiiiiii cyan havent talked to you in awhile but i thought we could fight today since last time the basketball game was super fun and we havent fought yet so we should since itll be fun thaaaanks cyan

Yo. It's Ross. Wanna battle today?

Morgan had been relaxed. Almost sinking into the seat as she was brought another drink, courtesy of a young man at the counter, whom she rewarded with a seemingly sweet smile. Then she got the message.

Frowning down at the watch she was reminded that she had a job she had to do. It wasn't a comfortable feeling for Morgan. She didn't like having to work. And certainly not for such a small amount of reward. But, well, it was better than not having anything. And she really wanted to expand her room size. It was basically a coffin as it was.

So she texted back a response.

"Want, no, but will I? Very well. Bold of you to go for the best right off the bat I will admit."

She sent it then, hesitating for a moment, sent a second. "I'm at a cafe if you wanted to see me before fighting." It was nice here but rather quiet. Which wasn't always a bad thing but Morgan liked having attention paid to her. So she sent the girl directions along with the message.

The girl who had given her the coffe gave her a small smile. "Waiting for someone?"

Morgan glanced up at her. She was a bit annoyed at the woman for prying but the kind smile and the aura radiating off of her stopped Morgan's biting words. Plus it wouldn't be good to behave badly to someone who might be a fan. "Ah, I simply was suggesting this place to a new...coworker of mine. It's rather nice." Morgan responded, giving the compliment with a smile that seemed to please the woman.

"Well isn't that just great. If she does come around I might give the two of you a discount."

Inside Morgan's mind she began to think of ways to convince Ross to come here if she refused.

Cyan woke up early like he always did, stretching out on his bed. Last night had been interesting, to say the least. He only wished that the night had gone on longer, but Gavin left early, and Silver followed soon after. "Humans..." He muttered, rolling his eyes. Still, it was still better than his usual night out. Even though he thought Gavin was still a bit boring, he at least knew he had someone to hit up whenever he wanted a drinking buddy. Cyanthrax still didn't know if that punk was actually old enough to drink or if he had dragged a child into a bar, but either way he was surprised that the boy had tagged along.

The demon picked himself up from his bed, letting out a yawn as he lazily checked his watch for the time. "9:27..." He was slowly getting accustomed to all these fancy gadgets, although the idea that this little screen on his wrist could tell the time with such accuracy was still baffling to him. More importantly than the time, however, was the day - it wasn't yesterday anymore. Which meant, of course, that today he would be fighting. He grinned, cracking his knuckles. He started getting ready for the day, thinking about who he was going to challenge.

As he stepped outside into the streets, he felt his wrist vibrate. Checking it, he read the message from Xia. Well, that made the choice pretty easy. With a flourish of his fingers, he began typing a response.

fUCK YEA WERE FIGHTN! HOpe ya raedy to lose!

As Ross began to make her way through the town, the girl eventually found her way to the athletic center. Without very much issue, Ross found her way to an empty track. Making her sure her shoes were on tight, the girl simply tapped her foot on the ground a few times before beginning to go for a jog. Though she could've gone for a jog anywhere, simply running about a crowded city this early in the morning seemed counter productive to that. Instead, here, at the track, she felt more at ease and able to more clearly process just what was going on in her life. Or, rather, she was able to help reset herself, and not think about anything as she just kept jogging. Just trying to keep steady to a routine that she had from home, the girl found her run stopped short. Not because of anything happening - the track itself was still rather calm.

Instead, the girl was reminded of some business she had meant to take care of yesterday. Pain starting to form in her head, the girl was beset with an all too familiar headache. Though it hadn't been long since her last intake, the girl knew that the throbbing in her head was telling her that she was certainly overdue. Deciding that she needed to take care of business that she meant to yesterday, Ross made her way over to the hospital.

Once in there, the girl walked to the receptionist desk and looked at the nurse there. "Excuse me," the girl started. She wasn't entirely sure how to continue, never really having checked into a hospital by herself before nor knowing who she was actually seeing. "Hey um, new here, but I think I have an appointment with a doctor today."

The woman at the desk gave her an annoyed look. "Name?"

Ross raised an eyebrow at the woman,  though figured she  probably dealt with an uncomfortably large amount of people on a daily basis. As such, the girl went to answer, but as she did she realized that she was in a hospital. And thus she would likely have to use her full name. Embarrassed, the girl simply said, "Rozalin.....Rozalin Williams."

The woman didn't seem to mind though, and instead kept checking the screen simply saying a practiced line of, "Insurance?"

"I uh..." The girl didn't really know what to say here. Even if she were still on Earth she wouldn't have known what to say. But work gave benefits right? So, Ross figured that if she just mentioned her employers name they could probably find something? "Well, I'm here on recommendation from my employer, Mauvache. Does she have anything set up?"

The woman froze in the middle of searching, and suddenly responded to Ross with far more energy in her voice. "Oh...Oh I see! I, um, I'm sorry, we'll get you checked in right away. Take a seat someone will be around to bring you to a room where the doctor will meet with you."

"Alright?" Confused by the woman's sudden shift in tone, Ross simply took a seat, awaiting her call in.

It wouldn't take long before a smiling and cheerful nurse came to get Ross and escorted her through a doorway. "This way dear this way. We don't need to check any of your vitals all of that is recorded already. Just need to get you set up in the room." The woman brought her through an open door into a small room and indicated her to take a seat. "Dr Akoola will be here shortly. Oh you'll just love him. Such a charming man."

Sitting down, Ross wasn't entirely sure how to feel about apparently already being entirely on record. Though, she couldn't help but think of the past doctors she had experienced as the woman gave her next comment. "Well, I suppose there's a first time for everything."

"Don't worry about a thing. Just don't get too close to him you'll make the nurses jealous." The nurse gave a small laugh before leaving.

After a while the doctor came in, shaking his head as he saw Ross. "I didn't become a doctor to be the personal healer of Mauvache's employees you know. How many of you are gonna need my help?" He then simply gave a smile  to the girl.

As the doctor entered, Ross couldn't help but smell something strange. She wasn't quite sure what it was, but there was definitely an off-ness coming from the man as soon as he had entered the room. Though she was sure it was not at all that of a demon,  she certainly felt as though he didn't smell entirely human either. All the same, furrowing her brow at the moment, and simply responding to the doctor in kind she said, "well, thankfully I'm not hurt. I'm just here  to pick up a certain item for my uh, diet."

"Yes, so I hear." The doctor's face turned grim. "That woman really does ask a lot of me. But I was able to find something that might be suitable." He then took, from under his coat, several vials of blood and handed them to her. "Try these."

Looking at the first vial, the girl inspected it, unsure of what to make of the blood vial. All the same, opening it up, she shrugged and simply went to down the liquid. As she began to swallow it, though, she felt a burning sensation go through her throat. Coughing up what remained in her mouth, the girl looked up to  the doctor. "I - I don't think that was the one."

"Hm. I see you're a messy eater." the doctor took notes.

Handing her a second vial, Ross then drank from it, only to feel very strange all of a sudden. As if she was suddenly exhausted, and her senses numbed a bit, the girl found it suddenly pretty hard to balance in her  own seat and started to sway around a bit. "Not....not really sure if that's the one either...well, head feels better? Better?" The girl repeated herself, wondering if she did in fact feel better. Though her headache seemed to have calmed down, she wasn't sure if it was because it worked or because she felt much more numb then before. Though, it didn't hurt as much, so she nodded. "Better." Looking at the doctor, she inspect the man before her, now looking at him more carefully and just casually blurting out, "you do have a pretty face."

"Yes, so I'm told." The doctor says with some amusement and then takes more notes. "Alright, try the next one."

Before the girl even sipped the next one, the acrid and foul smell from the vial seemed to snap her back a bit. Looking at it warily, she looked back to the doctor. "Are you sure this is safe?"

"Not in the slightest." As the man had a smile on his face and Ross's decision making skills were not at their pique, she figured that nothing bad was likely to happen. So, just going for a small amount, the girl took a small taste of the liquid.

The girl was staring at the ceiling. She hadn't been before. In fact, she had been sitting down. And now she was on a bed. Blinking a bit, dark spots temproarily in her vision, the girl looked at her watch to see that it was an hour ahead of when she last remembered. "What in the-," confused, the girl remembered the strange vial she drank from and shook her head. "Right."

Sitting back up, Ross looked over to the Doctor, who she now noticed was beside her. The man himself had a sheepish look on his face. "Yeah, not that one then." He then offered her one more. "You up for another try?"

Sighing as the girl put her palm to her face, she said, "well, I've got nothing to do until match start, so..." Grabbing the vial, the girl took one more drink, this time feeling a familiar sense of warmth, followed by a chill and then that too had passed. Her headache seeming to have vanished almost instantly, the girl said, "well, it's certainly a nostalgic flavor. I think it'll work though. Thanks Doc."

"Ah, good, I wasn't looking forward to having to obtain more of the next one. Not ideal still but I suppose it'll do. And no need to thank me. I'm just doing my job. Well, no, I guess this is above and beyond. So you're welcome, just don't get in any trouble and make me patch you up."

With a smile on her face she said, "well, I'll only get into as much trouble as the job entails." Getting out of bed, the girl looked to the doctor asking, "So if I need a uh, refill, should I just come back here?" With the doctor nodding, stating that he could also make a house call if need be, Ross simply said, "well, I need the exercise, so I'll be back later. Thanks again Doc."

With that, Ross left the hospital, only to suddenly feel her wrist vibrate. Looking down at it, she saw that she had a message from Morgan. Raising an eyebrow and letting out a small chortle, Ross couldn't help but be amused by the girl's response. Well, she was certainly on no shortage of confidence as well. Seeing the next message after, Ross couldn't help but smile and message back asking where to go. Once she got her response, Ross managed to find her way to over to the cafe Morgan had been at. Sitting down across from the girl, the girl let out a sigh of relief. "Hey there, I've had a crazy morning so far. How about you?"

Day 9, 10:00, Arena
Points: 56

W/L Record: 3/3

Good morning fighters! Today starts a brand new week of battles. I hope you all show the audience why you're the best in the business! That being said I am sending this message to inform you that I will be away on some business. If you have something you need to bring up feel free to bring it up with my assistant, Tea (number included). She is capable but young so I hope you treat her well and with the respect you'd give me while I am gone.

It was the start of a brand new day. A brand new week, even! And today, Aurora was gonna be busy! She'd woken up early, took a nice hot shower, and ate a nice hot breakfast. And now, it was time for all that busy hard work stuff. There were still some miscellaneous errands Aurora wanted to do. Figure out how to set up her own personal business, for one. The little things on her agenda as a fighter outside of fighting, too. Playing on a sports team sounded fun! She'd have to do some looking around online to see what sorts of teams there were.

But before any of that, there was also fights! Against another combatant. The event match that had been put off all this time. Indeed, if all went well, Aurora would be walking out of today with quite a bit of points in her pocket! Which was good. Because her funds right now were looking rather dismal. So, the important step was to find someone to fight. And if it was easy money she was after, Aurora did have one person in mind. She opened up her message app.

From: Aurora
To: Masaru

Hi! If you don't already have another opponent lined up, I'd like to fight it out with you in the Arena today!

And... send! Admittedly, Aurora didn't know much about Masaru. But out of everyone she hadn't really fought yet, he seemed like the easiest one to take out. And right now, she wasn't concerned about a fun fight so much as a profitable one. Her bank account - and perhaps that one Plants in Pants fangirl - would thank her later.

The Korova region, being much less tourist friendly than other regions, isn't one that many people travel to in this day and age. It wasn't prepared to take in visitors with much pomp and circumstances. It did however have one thing going for it when it came to visitors from other regions and that was New Point Landing.
Located at the western edge of an island, which was itself to the west of the mainland, New Point Landing was the main place for visitors coming into the region and it, at least, had a dock that ships could stop at to drop of passengers which was more than can be said about most of the rest of the region.
Once upon a time the city was the place to go for trading and shopping. These days it has fallen far from its high point and many of the stores are closed and boarded up. Awaiting a day that the region was more prosperous. Many of the remaining stores were family-run and managed by stubborn folk who refused to let the city fall completely off of its original purpose. There existed a singular, larger, department store where the rare visitors were able to get most necessities for their travels.
The ship that was currently coming into the dock was different than most that the city would usually see. It resembled a cruise ship more than anything else and instead of supplies from other regions it instead was full of trainers.
Unbeknownst to the people of the city, nor truly the trainers themselves, these passengers included those who would be much more precious to the region than any other cargo. For these trainers were destined to take part in a struggle that would determine the fate of the entire region.
Pokemon trainers from across the world all coming here with the purpose of taking on the Pokemon League challenge and becoming the Champion that the region has been lacking for many long years.

Anneliese looked out at the city that approached. Her eyes were shining with excitement as she watched the city, much different than Sunnyshore City back home, came closer and closer. "My goodness Leopold, how do you think the ship knows when to stop without any eyes?" She asked the small, lion-cub-like, Shinx that was currently standing next to her and watching with great concern as she leaned over the edge of the railing with no regard to her own safety.
The Pokemon had no answer for her. He didn't have any more knowledge than she did about ships and he wouldn't be able to bring himself to correct her if he did.
This didn't stop the girl from continuing her dialogue with the small creature. "Oh look over there, that's Goldeen right? My goodness there's so many of them. Leopold do you see them right there?" She leaned over the edge to point out the Pokemon swimming along the side of the boat. In doing so she went too far and very nearly tumbled off the edge.
Only stopped by Leopold biting the bottom of her dress and pulling the girl backwards. She stumbled but managed to avoid falling as she looked down at Leopold. "Oh, what's wrong?" She asked, oblivious to how she had almost fell into the water. "Did you want something to eat?"
Leopold shook his head and wondered where the other humans that he had gathered to keep an eye on her were. He could do most of it himself but when Anneliese was this excited sometimes it could get...difficult. When the captain had informed them they would be required to set off in groups of three, for safety reasons, Leopold at first blanched at the idea of trusting strangers to accompany his trainer but he realized that it was something he'd have to accept. As long as they kept Anneliese safe and happy, of course.
      ---
As the ship docked everyone would be helped off of it by the crew. They were greeted by a tall middle-aged, man with mutton chops of such grandeur that they were nearly indistinguishable from a full beard. "Hello, and welcome...to Korova! I got word of your arrival and sallied forth to greet you! I am the dockmaster here, and I wish to be the first to welcome you all to my fair city, the jewel of this region, in my eyes at least, New Point Landing. I'm sure you'll find it accommodating to your needs...You may not even want to leave, gwahahahaha!"
"Oh what a delightful man!" Anneliese said as she smiled brightly at him. She wanted to stop and chat with the pleasant man some more but another part of her wished to hurry off to begin her adventure.
It was then she remembered that she had teammates with her and so she turned to the two of them with an even bigger smile, "So, where shall we start?"
