Setting Spoiler The role play takes place after the post-apocalyptic era where Heaven and Hell was finally at peace after regretful killings of friends, families and foes alike, alongside endless blood, sweat, tears and sacrifices… Or so we thought. We will start off in the post-apocalyptic United Kingdom with stairs going down to Hell’s Gateway in one area and the infamous 20,000 step-stairway in the other, going up to Heaven’s Gateway. The gateway above the sky has recently finished repairs to the stairs after a prolonged war between the henchmen of angels and devils, so extra caution is to be exercised. Access to Purgatory’s Gateway is currently restricted and locked down for angelic evacuees. At the start, the South Coast of England is available and we will be working our way up. Other countries will be available later. Cars, planes, buses, cruise ships and trains are available for use throughout and the world is almost completely open. Wanderers are allowed to fly in from another country to begin their journey, if they wish. However, should they do so, their home country outside the United Kingdom becomes locked until later on. All created by one person. However, there are two more artificially generated flames: Thanatos and Legacy. No one knows who made them and possibly never will. 270 years ago, peace was sought in Heaven and Hell's Gateways after friends, families and those close to us were being killed one by one. Throats slit, hearts forcibly removed, bloods lost via vomiting, plus other ailments. Things should have gone well. A new leader of the heavens is appointed and he decided there will be some changes implemented, including the repair of the 20,000 step-stairway to the entrance of the Gateway after being damaged by the prolonged war. Over time, automatons, cyborgs, androids and other similar beings started overrunning the beautiful scenery above the sky and angels begin fighting them off for centuries to come. Due to the negligence of the heavens by its leader by not paying the angels a visit often enough, they were eventually overwhelmed and every last survivor evacuated to Purgatory's Gateway, locking it down completely. Taking place in the year 2300s after the post-apocalyptic era, You play the role of a nameless wanderer (You choose your own name here) who has succeeded in ownership of the Ethereal Flames, claiming dominance and wardenship. These flames are the subjects of materialisation of your chosen weapon or a catalyst for strengthening your own. With superior power, comes heavy responsibility and burden, you will need something else on top of what you're already bringing with you. The previous warmongers, your predecessors at the service of Hell's former leader Satan, have left behind eight ethereal flames and two artificial flames. They hold powers of Eidolons, enabling your transformation and powerful elements to use as spells. Use them as you see fit but if you overuse these powers, you will lose a lot of blood and deplete your lifespan. As of late, a battle ensues between Heaven and Hell, because the former has long been overrun by androids, cyborgs and other machinations. Despite driving away a corrupt leader of the angels and repairs being made, angelic residents are left with nowhere but Purgatory to evacuate. With accommodations barely meeting their standards (that being similar to prison cells) and beds fitted with rock hard mattresses, the angels are made to be restless and need a solution to their problem. Quickly. Therefore, much to their short-term relief, a pact has been formed with Hell’s leader Satan. This is all in the past now, sadly. Several centuries later, Heaven, Purgatory and Hell are all without a leading figure and it is every resident for themselves. Your help is needed from your respective countries to drive such androids out of Heaven and strive for peace once again. To do this, you will face the dreaded 20,000 steps to the Gateway above the sky and force your way in, these androids are quick to ensure you do not run away unscathed and some even want you in pieces or even dead. The main priority for you is maintaining peace for the homes of the afterlife and allowing the dead to rest once more in Heaven and Hell, without lingering for too long in Purgatory. As long as there is no peace above the sky and below the ground, there won’t be peace anywhere else. But are you prepared to fight alongside each other, drive away unwelcome adversaries and put an end to all uncertainties? Or would you change course and fight against each other? In this realm, anything is possible. Pick your ethereal flame, pick your Eidolon and gear up. From here on, it’s just you and other nameless wanderers. Note that this will NOT start until at least 2 people besides myself have joined and have been accepted. Reminder that my roles in this RP are simply foes and flashbacks, so please don't expect much from me. I will provide an example application in due course, but in the meantime ask if you're unsure. EDIT: There is no deadline for applications. I will ensure this RP will start as soon as I have accepted two players and will carry on accepting until all ethereal flames have successors. Name: The Warden of Light, The Shadow of Bahamut's Dominant Age: 36 (Age Prior to the Series) Gender: Male Race: Humanoid Esper Appearance Spoiler The image above was what he used to look like prior to the series, albeit with some inaccuracies. This however, is now but a husk of white and black. When he was still alive, he had black hair with some grey streaks and brown eyes, wearing shirts and denim jeans as his every day clothing. He also sported a fair build and a pale skin tone, standing at a height of 170cm tall, weighed in at 130lbs. He had reading glasses in tow if necessary. When semi-primed, Bahamut's wings sprouted from his back and streamlines of blue and white is enveloped. His hair turned white, his eyes blue (yellow in an event he turns out of control, as with other Eidolons) and his right arm swollen as if there was a growth protruding it. When transformed, Bahamut was a dragon with grey, muted skin, sharp talons, pointed muzzle, fangs and tongue muted in colour. Bahamut stood in at 100 feet tall whilst transformed (same as other Eidolons with the exception of Titan) and weight was unknown. When in control, it had blue eyes and yellow if not. Its wings were broken, sharp and worn down beyond repair, its organs barely functioned except when it had fought and when it had slaughtered. Because of that, it can be seen when the Test of Bahamut begins, the body is cracked open exposing the heart and bones being frail but can still just about hold its own. Personality Spoiler He was the kind of person that was willing to help on whatever occasion that may rise. Strict but fair, he went hard on his peers only because he wanted the best from them. He was able to fight off enemies in harsh situations whether alone or with help. He was also a freelancer and a weapons manipulator, creating the best possible equipment for his fighters. When he was alive, he had dark feelings having suffered depression during his days, but being a denizen of light he succumbs to darkness as soon as control is lost. He was very secretive from people about his lifestyle, so he doesn't bear much emotion nor was he so talkative, which sometimes creates a barrier between him and other strangers. It became clear that he would start teaching others how to fight, having enjoyed fighting himself he would have taken down anyone that tried to oppose him. Biography Spoiler Now nameless, he was born in the year 1994, death date unknown. He was born to a mother and father with two brothers. He was the middle child. He was also an epileptic prior to the role play as well as the character who suffered from autism, though none of those negative ailments affected him. He was born in the United Kingdom, which made him a native to the parallel world that didn't stop time. He was a failed graduate in University, having not succeeded as much as his brothers did but he did excel in employment back home. One night, he woke up with an unlikely ally, a young girl on the street, found out time had stopped at midnight that stood for 6 years and found out he was in a completely different dimension altogether. All while he existed during the war. Up until the year 2036, he did retain memories from his past prior to coming to this world, adapting by making sure he and his fellow companion survived, sourcing and cooking food, made weapons for combat and listed out inventory such as curatives. He did end up joining the services of Hell shortly after slaying the first leader of the Heavens, to which he found out was a corrupt leader and so with the help of another timeline, sought out the ethereal flames that his alternate self created for him and other users to use. While he was a Dominant of Bahamut, during his later years he had also taken custody of the powers of Odin and Ultima. However, he could only prime and transform into one Eidolon. He overused his powers which led both to his downfall and reliance on the Warden of Fire's power to cheat death. Twice. Later, he merged the flames his alternate self had created to birth another: The Flames of Blessing which is now hidden and nowhere to be found after the surrender of his powers from this world. It is said that he would transport back to reality to live his normal life after relinquishing his powers to his successor, but not without gifting this world with his phantom to test their prowess. It is also said that he succumbed to illness for good, not long after coming back to reality. Combat Information Character Arsenal Spoiler Weapons Spoiler During the time he was alive, he wielded the following weapons: Ethereal Blessing Ethereal Curse Ethereal Pride Ethereal Superiority Odin's Blade Elemental Spells Spoiler Chaos Thundaga/Firaga/Blizzaga/Waterga/Aeroga - Tier 3 non-elemental spells. They do not heal those that absorb the original elements, nor do they block them out. However, the power of the magic is amplified by 125% (In the case of Chaos Aeroga, the amplification becomes 250%). Chaos Curaga - The chaotic version of the original Cure spell. Tier 3. The power of this particular magic is amplified by 150% compared to the original. Heals a fixed 75% of HP and MP to oneself and allies. Chaos Thundaja/Firaja/Blizzaja/Waterja/Aeroja - Tier 4 non-elemental spells. They do not heal those that absorb the original elements, nor do they block them out. However, the power of the magic is amplified by 300% (In the case of Chaos Aeroja, the amplification becomes 700%). Chaos Curaja - The chaotic version of the original Cure spell. Tier 4. The power of this particular magic is amplified by 425% compared to the original. Completely heals HP and MP of oneself and nearby allies. Skills and Abilities Spoiler Unique Spoiler Torrential Rain - Shoots energy arrows from atop the sky and rains down on his opponents. Tetra Elemental - Combines the powers of five different elements to deal heavy damage. Chaos Magma - Summons a large ball of energy to decimate those in close proximity. Deals a fixed damage of 40%. Cry of the Blessings - Use the powers of the blessing to decimate the entire battlefield (Allies and enemies affected). Deals a fixed damage of 80% (Game Over if fighting as an enemy). Eidolon Spoiler Bahamut Spoiler This is relevant both normally and primed. Flare Breath - Eidolon's Breath Skill. Similar to a flamethrower, shoots fire from his hands deal continuous damage. Impulse - After sprouting out his wings, summon balls of energy to stalk the opponent and deal continuous damage. Satellite - Track down and shoot at oncoming opponents within range. Mega Flare - A small energy blast to the sky and drops down on opponents in pieces. Giga Flare - A decent energy blast towards the opponent, dealing heavy damage. Tera Flare - Eidolon's Signature Skill. Fly away from the opponents and send a large energy wave to the ground, dealing damage from the sky. Fixed damage of 70%. Zetta Flare - Enemy only. Transform briefly into Bahamut and send a large energy blast ranging from the planet Jupiter to Earth. Instantly reduces HP of victims to 1, regardless of how much is left. Odin Spoiler Cannot transform into Odin. Severance - Eidolon's Breath Skill. Entraps opponents with multiple sword slices in one. Dancing Steel - Hit the opponent with a sword dance that inflicts a great deal of damage. Boosts Zantetsuken level. Circle of Malius - Separates the Odin's Blade into two, envelop into darkness and spin around in a circular motion, dealing heavy damage. Boosts Zantetsuken level. Zantetsuken - Eidolon's Signature Skill. Deals damage depending on the level accumulated. Level 1: Fixed damage of 20 x30. Level 2: Fixed damage of 300 x50. Level 3: Fixed damage of 1000 x60. Level 4: Total fixed damage of 100,000. Level 5: Total fixed damage of 95%. Level 6: Enemy only. Instant Game Over. Ultima Spoiler Cannot transform into Ultima. Voiceless God - Eidolon's Breath Skill. Spews out flame embers from his fingers to deal damage to those in close proximity. Ultimate Demise - Eidolon's Signature Skill.
