With a title like that, what other score could it get besides 7/10?

OP Suggestion: I realize I've been stingy with 10/10 ratings in this thread, well, here's one. Closed Circuits' Returner blew me away the first time I listened to it and still impresses me greatly with every relisten. Traditonally, the word "sublime" is associated with uncaring and unstoppable forces of nature that, when encountered, strip away the conscious mind, leaving an experience that can only be defined as joyous and terrifying in equal measure. Nothing man-made can equal such a feeling, but there's a moment in Returner -- and you'll know it when you hear it -- that dares to try.

Sorry, that's super pretentious, but I really do like the song.

A suggestion for the future, make sure to clean your youtube links so when I jump over I don't get thrust into the next song on the playlist should I not be on that screen.

But I liked the song well enough 8/10

OP Suggestion: The emails from Spanish-language bands keep coming. This time it was a press release for this song's music video, whenever that comes out. Honestly, this song is the best one I've been emailed about so far 8/10

Huh, I thought I posted a clean link. I guess I didn't notice it was in a playlist.

Anyways, here's another song to rate

I definitely also have nostalgia for this song, you couldn't not hear it everywhere, after all. 7/10

Ay it's the hurdy gurdy guy 8/10

OP Suggestion: I feel like the artist name being "Bonobo & Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs" leads into either some really complex rock or boppin' synths and drums and there's no in-between. This is the latter. 8/10

Allow me to share some music that used to make me feel this way:

Genesis in general from Nursery Cryme to Duke is such a gold mine

Yup that sure sounds like an anime OP. Didn't really love it or hate it so I'll lean towards the former 6.5/10

SImilar energy, especially near the end, but didn't hit that same high for me as being awash in a wave of sound, just the normal prog rock experimentalism. Which is still great, mind you 9/10

OP Suggestion: Been getting some pretty nostalgia-driven submissions recently, have a trip-hop song that's about as old as me 8/10

It's weird, when I listen to this song, I like it, and I'll remember liking it afterwards, but I'll barely remember the song at all 6.5/10

Before going into this, is this going to be based on the Peter S. Beagle story?

After: Oh it's literally a cover of the song Jimmy Webb did for the movie, that's neat 7/10

dang the lazer collection is almost fourteen years old

I didn't expect all of these to get 7/10 but they're for different -- if nebulous -- reasons, I promise

OP Suggestion: Nick Cave also has a new album out that he did with Warren Ellis. 8.5/10
