Wincon is commander damage. Had issues with sustainability, but after adding multiple draw spells, snapcaster, and elixir I think it should be fine on that front. Welcome to any suggestions. radio414 904 Posted December 5, 2020 I probably could give some more notes than this but here's a first pass. What's the meta you play with look like? Nev Disk and Perilous Vault seem like nonbos with all that artifact ramp, have you considered switching a few to land ramp like Wayfarer's Bauble or Burnished Hart? It seems like a lot of the internet is really down on Temple of the False God. I'm not going to regurgitate the reasons at you, though. Is it okay that Scrying Sheets only hits, like, ten percent of the time? No Counterspell feels like an oversight but idk In terms of tech, Quicken has always felt good with a wrath to me, and is also good with something like Painful Truths. Worst case is that it cantrips. I haven't played in like two years so honestly I have no idea. 1 hour ago, radio414 said: Nev Disk and Perilous Vault seem like nonbos with all that artifact ramp, have you considered switching a few to land ramp like Wayfarer's Bauble or Burnished Hart? I don't mind losing a signet or two when opponents lose so much more. I'd like burnished hart a lot better if it didn't kinda suck. 1 hour ago, radio414 said: It seems like a lot of the internet is really down on Temple of the False God. I'll probably drop it for an island the first time it's a liability. 1 hour ago, radio414 said: Is it okay that Scrying Sheets only hits, like, ten percent of the time? Yeah that's fine, it's ten percent more than any other land would. 1 hour ago, radio414 said: No Counterspell feels like an oversight but idk I just don't think it's that good at this point. Counter magic is hard to justify. Maybe better than despark? 1 hour ago, radio414 said: In terms of tech, Quicken has always felt good with a wrath to me, and is also good with something like Painful Truths. I mean, you've got Disallow listed, which is Cancel ninety-nine times out of a hundred in my experience. Rewind is probably worse also (and in a vacuum I like both these cards!). Maybe I'm just confused what you're holding up mana for in a "draw-go" deck that isn't more draw spells or sticking the commander. Or maybe that's enough? 16 hours ago, (‽) said: It's sick but hard to justify in a list that feels as tight as this one. Ponder seems like the obvious swap. 16 hours ago, (‽) said: Yeah that's fine, it's ten percent more than any other land would. I guess I'm worried it does nothing most of the time besides make colorless. I get there're signets it can pay for but I feel like there could be better uses. On a related note, isn't Arcane Lighthouse just a strictly better Detection Tower? (edit: not strictly better; reading the card explains the card) Edited December 6, 2020 by radio414
(o ×) 228 Posted December 6, 2020 Too busy to update OP, so here is the current list. https://www.archidekt.com/decks/972608#Chromium_Control Re:Disallow I stan the card hard, and puts in work against many combo decks. I genuinely believe rewind to be out and out better in draw-go, at least in this format, since I'm not using Mana on sorcery speed too often. Even so, I did fit counterspell in. Re:Ponder I really like it in an answers deck since it digs 3+1 cards deep, albeit at sorcery speed. Even though it doesn't generate advantage, it's a bonkers high-value +0 Re:Detection Tower ngl I couldn't remember the name of arcane lighthouse and while detection tower does stop leyline of sanctity, I'm not a deck that cares. Good swap.
