Pokemon Gijinka: The Fallen God [IC / PG-16 / Complete]

Group 1: Easter and Nine

Ankou was growing frustrated. It could be seen every time she reappeared as her hair was starting to look more wild and her expression was looking more and more pinched. It was clear she wasn't pleased by the amount of exertion she was having to do. Though she also seemed to still have plenty of energy. "You can't win. Whatever little damage you manage to inflict is not nearly enough. Even if you managed to break through my precious prism."

She vanished and reappeared near Nine again in order to use her Draining Kiss attack. Instead of vanishing right after she went to follow it up with a close-range Thunderbolt. It seemed she was growing more aggressive in her attacks now.

Spoiler

Reminder: Ankou, Gardevoir, Synchronize, level 80. Moves: Teleport, Psyshock, Draining Kiss, Thunderbolt, Taunt.

Group 2: Denku, Kazo, and Randy

Spoiler

See previous post. Try and make this coming post longer to make up for missing this week so you don't fall behind the other groups.

Group 3: Brooke, Nani, and Scarlet

"Such a pest you are." Mia said, her voice having more of a sharp edge to it than before. "All of you such pests." Scarlet was able to keep a hold of her with the Bug Bite but given Mia's reaction she couldn't be sure just how effective she was being. The woman put her hand on Scarlet's armored chest and pushed her into the air and turned to slam Scarlet down onto the ground on the other side of her which forced Scarlet's pincer open. Rubbing the wound Mia winced and blew a stray hair from her face. "Such a rude girl."

She paused and then half turned as she saw Brooke barreling towards her. She could only brace herself as the Fighting type's fist slammed into her and sent her skidding backwards. The Miltank grunted and shook her head. "Fine, fine, fine." She muttered.

Then they could hear the clanging bells again. But the tone was different than before. And the noise was louder. It grew even louder still and created a sonic wave that would pass through all of them and cause their heads to ring painfully. The ground itself seemed to shake as the bells chimed.

With laughter the Godslayer backed up and then curled back into a ball to take off along the outer edge of the room again. Despite the shaking floor she seemed to have little trouble navigating in this form.

Spoiler

Reminder: Mia, Miltank, Scrappy, level 80. Moves: Rollout, Body Slam, Zen Headbutt, Fire Punch, Heal Bell.

The bells are her "special" move, causing tremors and pain with the noise alone.

Group 4: Taiga, Keanu, and Lok

Veronica seemed more insulted than anything as the Will-o-Wisp landed on her. A small wince as the burning began the only indication that it had landed through the torrent of water. Still the girl didn't let up. As the winds picked up she pushed off and flew out of the water. Using the burst of speed to power through it.

With narrowed eyes she darted towards Taiga and sank her fangs into her with a Leech Life. Following it up with a kick she flung herself backwards the moment she attacked. The burn had weakened her attacks but she would just use her speed to try and attack more often to make up for the somewhat decreased power.

Spoiler

Reminder: Veronica, Crobat, Infiltrator, level 75. Moves: Leech Life, Cross Poison, Tailwind, Taunt, Fly.

Group 5: Mac, Ari, Marie, Dora

Jabari backed away slightly as he watched the Lucario warily. Jabari and the young ones were giving their all that much was certain. Yet he had a sinking feeling that the Lucario had yet to reach the peak of his ability. It wasn't as though he were trying to hold back. It felt more like he couldn't bring himself to attack at full strength. Were they yet too weak, too small of a threat, to unleash the beast within this supposed pinnacle of Godslayers?

The Zebstrika's fist clenched in anger at the thought. The Deluge he had set up was disappearing so he once more activated it. Taking a deep breath Jabari regained his focus as the Lucario sped towards him.

It reminded him of a Mightyena attack he once had got caught in. The fierce, instinctive, actions. While this was much faster he was still familiar with the type. So he met it head on with an attack of his own. Slamming his fist into the Lucario's side to push him away and avoid the attack.

His eyes widened slightly as, while still in motion, the Lucario blasted him with an Aura Sphere.

Zabari was sent tumbling to the side while the Lucario merely readjusted himself and stayed on balance.

More and more the Pride Rock warrior wondered if there was any way to truly stop him. It felt as though they were only holding him back.

He was surprised when he felt a tugging on his arm. Looking down he saw the Quagsire girl smiling at him. "It's gonna be okay." She said with an all-too-confident nod.

From off to the side the other Electric type raised a fist. "We just gotta keep letting him have it! We didn't come down here alone so if he can't beat us then no way he'll win once everyone else gets here!"

Lucario finally seemed to have a true reaction to that. Smiling condescendingly. "I would like to crush them myself but if they aren't here now it means they were caught by the others. Even if the rest are weaker than me, without the traitor helping, they won't be able to make it here. You only have two choices. Defeat me or die."

Upon saying this he took off at Extreme Speed towards Ari. The noise the boy had made had frustrated him. And he wanted to make sure he didn't have to hear it again.

"Ah crap." Mac muttered as she saw where the Lucario was headed. She had been caught off guard by his sudden attack, surprised by his words, and she tried to catch up to him with her own Quick Attack. Though it was clear even covered in ice and mud that he would reach Ari first.

Jabari as well wouldn't be able to reach but he did attempt to launch a Shock Wave to try and knock the Lucario off his balance.

Meanwhile Dora slapped her cheeks with her hands and shook her head. She had almost forgot they were fighting! She wasn't nearly as fast as the others but she, too, tried to get closer to the Lucario as it looked like everyone was converging on him at once.

Spoiler

Reminder: Lucario, Inner Focus, level 95. Moves: Aura Sphere, Force Palm, Flash Cannon, Extreme Speed, Detect.

Jabari, Zebstrika, Motor Drive, level 75. Moves: Flame Charge, Shock Wave, Ion Deluge, Thrash, Endure.

While Nine was starting to feel the fatigue of the battle, the last prism attack having taken quite a lot out from him he felt a sudden surge of clarity hit him. As a golden light surrounded him, the boy took a deep breath as all of the wounds along his body had started to seal up. While it wasn't a full recovery, at least as far as his stamina was concerned, he certainly had felt far less injured. Moving his arms around, the Chaser looked towards the Sylveon as the other shook his head. Not really sure what to make of it, the Houndoom simply didn't respond and focused on the battle in front of him. The woman was starting to get more agitated as she continued to teleport around, seeming to think that the two of them had no chance. Of course, Nine knew that she was no cake walk of an opponent and as a godslayer was not supposed to be taken lightly. She was also undoubtedly stronger than him, and nine times out of ten were they to fight she would likely to be the winner. Yet in spite all of that, looking at his opponent, Nine felt calm and focused. There was no doubt in his mind he could defeat her.

As the woman seemed ready to go on the offensive, Nine played through everything he knew about her so far. Everything he knew about how she fought and what he could do about it. As long as he was at a range, the two of them were likely to be at a stalemate. But it was clear that they were starting to hurt her from her demeanor, and there was only one possible way it wouldn't matter. Readying himself, Nine's senses told him when to expect the woman from her last teleport. As she appeared, leaning in, Nine had already back stepped away causing the Gardevoir to kiss nothing but air. Smirking, the Houndoom said, "now now, going for a second one is just greedy."

Growing more frustrated the woman's arm started to crackle with electricity. Bringing his arms up and charging them with darkness, Nine fired out a pulse of dark energy towards the woman. As her lightning came out, the pulse of darkness managed to slow it, though ultimately her attack still managed to pierce through. Not destroying all of it, though, the two were once again hit by opposing attacks, Nine grimacing as his arm was shocked yet again and Ankou being pushed a step back from the dark pulse. As he tried to keep his arm from trembling any longer, the boy looked towards the woman. Smirking, he said, "you weren't lying when you said you were strong. But, well..."

Before Nine was able to finish, he noticed the woman was already charging her body up with electricity yet again. Charging her hands with electricity yet again, Nine figured she was going to go for yet another close range thunderbolt. So he only thought it was right to meet her head on. Charging his body with darkness, the Nine took a step forward. Ankou, assuming the boy would fire yet another dark pulse to match her, Ankou fired at the Chaser's arm before he could use it. However, as she let loose her attack, Nine simply brought his arm up and shielded against the attack with it. Gritting hit teeth, pain radiating through his body as his arm started to lock up in place from the electricity, Nine took yet another step forward as he brought his other arm towards the woman. Punching her square in the gut, Ankou quickly retreated, teleporting away from the Houndoom after his attack. His arm trembling and still locked in place, Nine still smiled through the pain saying, "don't worry. Against the both of us, you'll finally be able to rest."

Brooke clapped her hands over her ears, though it did little to stop the pain. She could feel the rattling of her teeth even through her clenched jaw. What kind of attack was this? She had only seen a few attacks based on sound; none of them worked like this. “A-A-Are y-y-y-you a-a-all a-a-alright?” she struggled to ask the other two, but her stuttering question was completely drowned out by the ominous tolling of the bells.

Welp. Planning was out of the question now. It was time for plan B: smash shit.

The Miltank was rocketing along at high speeds, curled up into a ball, having seemingly no trouble with the noise herself. Brooke steeled herself and removed her hands from her ears. The overpowering noise threatened to rupture her eardrums but she moved forward through sheer willpower. It wasn’t very long before the Miltank took notice.

Bam! Brooke was struck in the back. She was almost knocked off her feet; the Miltank spun away before the Emboar could even turn around to face her. “D-D-Damn it!” The red aura once again melded around her skin. The Miltank rounded the bend of the curved arena and rolled toward her again, even faster this time. Brooke lunged for her but Mia was moving too fast, slipping past her grip and ramming into her at full speed. Brooke dug her heels in; the ground fractured beneath her, burying her up to her ankles into the concrete, but she held her ground.

The bell tolled again, and the Emboar grit her teeth so hard that she felt one of her molars begin to crack, but she refused to let the opportunity pass. The Miltank had been ground to a halt when Brooke hadn’t budged.

“G-G-Gotcha!” Brooke wrapped her arms around Mia’s midriff. The tolling of the bells grew even louder, but the Emboar persevered. The red aura around her flared brighter and she lifted the Miltank completely off the ground and, with an impact that shook the area and sent a shockwave rippling across the arena, slammed Mia into the floor with every bit of power that she could muster.

Bells. Nani always liked the sound of bells. Little bells, big bells, high bells and low bells. But big bells were best admired from a distance, i.e. not what Mia was doing right now. They were very large, and very loud. The others seemed to be getting the worst of it though. The brunt of the sonic attack was being eaten by that barrier Nani always found herself with. Had that gotten bigger since her last fight? Even with it being chewed at by Mia's bells, it seemed there was still some left. Oh well. More importantly, Brooke had created an opening by slamming that cow into the ground. What a move!

I should try to stick with this lady. She knows some neat attacks!

Time to try that one too! Nani lit up with the same kind of red aura Brooke had when slamming her foe into the ground. Such power! Although, Nani wasn't much of a grappler type. How else to use such power? An idea struck the Mimikyu, as she used the power to jump up as high as she could manage without slamming her head into the ceiling. Down she descended, right toward where Brooke and Mia were located, before slamming her fists down onto the cow with a rumbling, floor-cracking impact. Doing that kinda stung a bit. But not in an "ow, that hurts" way. Weird move.

Team ThunderWaves

With the Rotom landing a burn on the pinned Gijinka, Taiga smiled.  A burn would really wind up weakening all of Veronica's attacks!  However, the girl was able to get up from the torrent of water thanks to the winds that rushed from behind her.  She managed to race to the top of the waterfall, only to sink her fangs into Taiga.

"Tch!"  Taiga winced, as the girls speed was still enough for her not to be able to react to the assault.  What was more was that the Gijinka used Taiga as a damn springboard of sorts, pushing off of her abdomen to take to the air once more.  The kick was enough to knock Taiga off balance, sending her down the side of her own artificial aqueous creation.  She really didn't want to take a fall from this height, so in the midst of free-falling, she shot a jet of water out of her feet to push her into the forest of poles.  There she grabbed onto one, and used her momentum to spin down to the ground.  She looked to the bite wound that she had received.  It stung, but what stung more was that the bitch probably healed from that attack.  "We can't be hit by too many of those...she won't catch me again so easily!"  Taiga rattled a fist off at the girl.

Her eyes focused on the girl's movements, looking rather similar to hers.  They were the same type of fighter after all...speed ball attacks at a high enough frequency would beat even the toughest of foes.  But Taiga now had the advantage in power, and she would in speed soon enough.

"Forget about aiming at her, ya good for nothin's!  Aim where she's gonna be!  Cover this place in lightning for all I care!"  Taiga realized she might get caught in the crossfire as well.  As a precaution, Taiga linked both her and Veronica's destinies, with a red glint in her eye.  "Let's finish it already!"  Taiga said, sprinting towards Veronica with a large pair of frosty jaws ready to snap.

Ari was already injured from being slammed into the wall, and he wasn't as fast as Mac. So he knew he wouldn't be able to do anything to avoid this attack. In fact, it was very likely that this would be what finished him off. But...he wasn't down for the count just yet! Picking himself up from the ground, the Litleo spat out another giant fireball. The Godslayer was forced to dodge to the side to avoid it, and by the time he had got himself back on course for Ari, Mac's Quick Attack and Jabari's Shock Wave reached him.

While that happened, Ari charged for the Godslayer as well, the power of friendship adding strength to his blow. The Godslayer took it with little reaction though, giving out an attack of his own--a Force Palm that knocked the Litleo silly. Coughing, the lion cub struggled to rise once more. He wasn't strong enough...but even if he wasn't strong enough, he couldn't just do nothing! Working himself Up into a frenzy, he was knocked back once more by the Godslayer's kick.

Ugh... He felt like the living dead. Or something like that. Coughing out blood, the Litleo gritted his teeth. "I...won't let you win!" he shouted, running forward and attempting to bite down with a Fire Fang, only to be avoided. This time, though, he jumped back, almost in reflex, so the Godslayer's punch to the cub's gut wasn't nearly as painful as it would've been before.

Ankou had started talking less and less, focusing more on her attacks as she pummeled Nine with mixed success. The Houndoom had made himself more of a target than Easter with his snide remarks. Which wasn't good. At this rate, Nine would end up taking his crown as the king of battle taunts. Oh no, he really couldn't let that happen.

"Yeah, isn't this what you wanted, after all? A nice, long...rest," Easter finished as he ran toward where the Gardevoir had Teleported, turning around when she winked out existence once more, and slamming his Psyshock into her right as she reappeared. "You should be thanking us for this. But don't worry, we'll understand if you can't send us gifts or anything. I don't know if the afterlife has a postal service. Guess you'd have to ask one of those legendaries you so hate for permission."

As a reward for his smart mouth, the Sylveon received Psyshock as well. Laughing, despite the pain, or perhaps because of it, Easter bared his teeth in a grin, catching the Gardevoir in the side with a kick. As she slid back, he followed up with a punch, clicking his tongue when his fist hit empty air. Pulling back so as not to overstrain his arm, his ears twitched, and he dodged to the side to avoid the Thunderbolt that came crackling toward his back. Without even turning to look at her, he released a Swift, leaping up into a backflip at the same time and landing on the psychic type.

"Gotcha," he cackled, taking her Draining Kiss as he dealt out a point-blank Moonblast in return. Jumping back from the resulting explosion of power, he landed on his feet, letting out a cry of surprise as one of his legs gave way, causing him to sink to one knee, the ground underneath him starting to become stained with the blood dripping from his wounds. "Hoo...you're not bad," he panted. "Guess this is what it means to fight a Godslayer."

Veronica moved to avoid the Ice Fang headed straight for her, but was unable to dodge in time, shivering as the icy attack met its mark. "Tch...you just get faster and faster, don't you?" she asked. "Looks like I'll have to put you down sooner than later!" She retaliated with a Cross Poison while Taiga was still in melee range.

Keanu, on the other hand, was focused more on what the Sharpedo had just said. "Cover the place with lightning, huh?" Keanu asked, a glint in his eye. "K'den, ya got it, sistah." Hopping on his tail, the pendant with the strange stone he wore around his neck, usually tucked underneath his shirt--back when he wore one--began to glow. "Time to get zappy. Stoked...Sparksurfer!" he shouted, diving off of the pole and bouncing between it and the other poles, trailing lightning in his wake. He felt good. He felt fast. And for once...he was faster than Veronica.

The Crobat's eyes widened, and she moved to evade it, but this time she was too slow. Or maybe it was that he was too fast? Doesn't matter, he thought triumphantly as he crashed into the Godslayer. All that mattered was that he hit her. The area around the two was blindingly bright for a moment, the air crackling with electricity. Veronica had fallen to the ground, twitching slightly, and for a second, Keanu thought it was finally over.

And then the Crobat rose up from the ground, hair sticking out every which way from static. Running a hand through it, she ground her teeth. "Unbelievable...unbelievable! I can't believe this. Do you know...just how long it took to get this styled?! Well? DO YOU?!"

"Ka! Calm down, wahine. It's just a little static," Keanu momentarily forgot he was in a fight, backing up with his hands held up in the air to pacify the obviously enraged wahine in front of him.

"Just a little...just a little?! Do you call this JUST A LITTLE?!" the Crobat roared, heaving for breath. "No...I shouldn't expect uncivilized plebeians like you to understand. I didn't want to use this move, but..." she soared into the air, though far less gracefully than before, "...I won't hold back anymore!"

"If that was you holding back, then I really wouldn't mind you continuing to do so," Keanu quipped.

Veronica ignored him, rising higher, rotating her body like a spiral as she did so. Upon reaching the apex of her climb, she spun even faster, till she was nothing more than a blur. Then, a large vortex of wind appeared around where Veronica continued her revolution, expanding into a cyclone that surrounded the Godslayer and prevented anybody from going near lest they get caught up in it. Keanu was, unfortunately, close enough to the Godslayer that he had been swept up anyway, slamming from post to post as he whirled through the air. What little oxygen he had left in his lungs was knocked loose from them, and with the high winds surrounding him, he found it hard to breathe.

Lok
Team ThunderWaves

Lok grinned as he landed his burn on the Godslayer, although his moment of victory didn't last very long, as it didn't take long for Veronica to pick herself up, dashing directly at Taiga once again. Lok stumbled back, the flame in his hand shifting to crackling lightning. However, as he fired off a Thunderbolt, he missed once again; the Godslayer was simply too fast for him to hit. He frowned; even after following Taiga's advice, he wasn't able to quite land anything. She was simply too fast. In fact, everyone was starting to get too fast for him to keep up with - even Keanu, with a surge of lightning, managed to catch up with the speedy Crobat. Lok needed to come up with something to keep up. Looking down at the poles, noticing the damage that had been done to them, he got an idea. With a bolt of lightning, Lok struck at one of the pillars, making sure to grab some of the debris that his attack had caused. He put away the three splinters he had made, turning back to the Godslayer.

To his dismay, he saw that the Crobat was now surrounded in a cyclone of wind from her spinning, Keanu stuck in it. However, he also noticed the remnants of lighting everywhere from what Keanu had managed to do earlier. He also noticed that this was probably the closest he was ever going to get to having her stuck in one place. While the premise of hitting Keanu with his attack was concerning, Lok needed to do something now. As he extended his arm towards Veronica he felt the lightning around him start to jump at him, surging through his arm as he channeled his own lightning. Gritting his teeth, he unleashed a powered-up Thunderbolt, the lightning much faster and stronger than anything he was able to do previously. With any luck, this would hit the Godslayer or, at the very least, get her to stop doing what she was doing.

Scarlet
Team SuperPower

Scarlet let out a gasp of air as Mia slammed her into the ground, losing her grip on the slayer. Slowly, she picked herself up as Brooke struck with her own attack. As she stood up, however, the horrifying sound of bells tolled as she felt her armor vibrate from the attack. It wasn't just her armor - the whole arena seemed to shake rhythmically with the bells, as Mia returned to rolling around once more. She turned to Brooke, nodding as she checked on everyone. "I'm-m G-G-Go-oo-d." She said, having a hard time speaking due to the bells.

Brooke was quick to jump into the action, managing to grab a hold of the spinning Godslayer and even slamming her into the ground. Nani did the same, in a shockingly similar way - even down to the red glow both of them had. Scarlet cocked her head, her armor starting to glow a hot red, before darting in once more, a trail of steam following her. With her wings fluttering, Scarlet flew right at MIa, slamming her fists into the Godslayer's body. With the sheer force of the strike, Scarlet dragged both her and the slayer across the ground, sending rubble flying everywhere as Scarlet kept striking with a flurry of blows. Eventually she stopped when they hit the edge of the arena; Scarlet's shoulders slumping slightly as more steam emitted from her body as she stepped back from her opponent. "G-go-ood jo-ob..." She said, clutching her head from the ringing sound of the bells.

"Guess it's really time to go all out then. I'll tear apart your protectors here and then deal with you. Watch as I kill your elders right in front of you."

It was obvious that this Salamence meant business now. The sheer ferocity that it was showing against Randy, Denku and Kazo was astonishing to say the least. However, Randy figured he was only getting the blunt end of this assault just because he was associated with Denku and Kazo, the true targets of the Dragon Type.

How do I keep getting myself...into these situations…? Randy thought, groaning slightly, slowly getting up after being pretty much clipped and knocked back by Ryu’s little stunt with his wings. Denku got struck by a combination of Fire Blast and Dragon Claw, then received a punch in the gut, nothing too grandiose about it. In Randy’s eyes, this was pretty much going nowhere...hell, even the combination between himself and Denku didn’t seem to have that much of an effect.

The Incineroar noted that this was all in the vein of showing Kazo his place in this whole fight. He didn’t know the full reasoning, aside from Ryu losing his brother to these two, but it was the Gabite specifically that seemed to be his priority. Hmmm...and yet we’re his…’protectors’...he’s going to focus on us. Tch...fine then…

At another moment, Ryu was definitely making his way towards Kazo again. The Salamence was emanating quite the sinister aura around him, but this wasn’t going to deter any of them. ...let alone deter or intimidate Randy. Within a matter of moments, Randy rushed towards Ryu and proceeded to use Close Combat on the Salamence.

“Heh, you’re all talk.” Randy smirked with a low growl. “I’ve seen better Faces...no...better HEROES than you claim to be. And you aren’t one.” His strikes held weight and power with each delivered blow, definitely wanting to keep his attention on him. “I was planning to use this technique on the Lucario...but I guess this is as good of a test as it gets!!” While the Dragon type was focused on him, the Incineroar hoped and prayed that this would be a moment that Denku and Kazo could possibly think of a plan of action to do.

Denku wasn’t doing so well. Ryu was dead-set to getting to Kazo, and it seemed he didn’t want to be stopped by anyone. With some honestly impressive air mobility and agility, the dragon managed to get past Randy and get Denku, who could do nothing but take the hits that were thrown at him. The rock type was thrown back by the punch into his gut, flying back and crashing into his younger brother.

Kazo managed to catch his projectile of a brother, skidding back a little but otherwise unharmed. He let Denku find his footing before letting go. The older rock brother looked up to his younger dragon brother and grimaced. He saw the look of determination on the boy’s face, the look of never wanting to back down… but he could also see the pure hatred in the younger brother’s eyes. That… that shouldn’t be there…

As Kazo rushed out into battle, Denku watched, almost in a daze as the dragon charged. No… this wasn’t right. It had been ten years, but had those ten years apart really changed the innocent soul? To have such hatred… even those that tormented him, those that hurt him, Denku had never seen such a look in Kazo’s eyes. What did this Salamence do to earn Kazo’s spite?

To make things worse, if they failed here… Kazo would die. Denku knew this. That Godslayer wouldn’t give up until Denku’s little brother was six feet under. The idea of Kazo dying, of the light fading from his eyes…

As Kazo leapt into the air, Denku’s eyes flashed red, a primal roar coming escaping from deep inside of him as a black aura exploded around him. “Get… GET OUT OF MY WAAAAAAY! Denku’s voice echoed throughout the stadium, and was the only warning Randy was getting before Denku rushed ahead like a runaway train, the aura taking the form of a rampaging dragon.

Kazo let out his own roar as he landed from his leap, slashing his arm down at Ryu, who simply backed up at the last second to avoid the attack all together, attempting a counter with a thrust of his dragon claws, aiming straight for Kazo’s chest. However, Kazo then dug into the ground, not to avoid Ryu’s attack, but to avoid being run over by the outraged Denku.

“YOU LITTLE SHIT!!!” Denku crashed into Ryu, a flurry of dragon infused punches aimed to overwhelm the Godslayer before he blasted his way past Ryu. Then, Kazo erupted from the ground, one arm sharpened for a slash. He swung upwards, catching Ryu’s right hip before dragging the appendage all the way towards Ryu’s left shoulder.

This was...some...plan. Randy was shocked to see that the Rock type and the Dragon type seemed to just charge head first into this. Denku and Kazo seemed...in sync to be completely honest. But the methods of this seemed to be namely focused on a rage aspect.

Jeez...here I thought this would be a bit easier. But then again...these two seem to know each other and their movements...and it seems to be doing something in the long run for this. Randy thought, backing up the moment Denku shouted before going on the rampage. Way he saw this right now, their best bet was to not give this Salamence any breathing room...by any means necessary.

With a small smirk and cracking of his knuckles, the Incineroar’s gold eyes flashed a bit with a new found determination. “Hehe…Nā poʻe palaka lapuwale...now I actually understand what Marie went through with me. Hehe, still...you both are speaking my language.” he snickered, before making his way towards Ryu and after watching the three of them fight, Randy immediately found an opening and proceeded to add onto the assault, using Acrobatics to keep up with both Kazo and Denku whilst also making it to where he could overwhelm Ryu more than he already was.

“Keep this up! Don’t let him get an inch you two!!”

Marie hung back and worked herself up once again as she saw everyone converge towards the Godslayer. Grimacing as the man managed to take two more attacks in stride, even still managing to retaliate against Ari amidst all of it. No matter how slow she had made him, the man still seemed to be going too fast for even Jabari to keep up with, let alone the rest of them. And then there was also what he had said. Obviously there were other Godslayers here, given how she hadn't seen Allie yet, but she refused to accept that everyone else here would be stopped by them. After all, her, Keanu, Randy and Nani had fought Allie twice and come out on top both times. Not to mention everyone else here seemed plenty strong as well. So, she had to believe that everyone else could stop the Godslayers. And so, so could she and everyone else here.

Biting her lip as she tried to calm herself and focus on how to beat her opponent, the Lucario took notice of the girl and turned to face her. Taking a deep breath, the girl let out a stream of bubbles once again. The man didn't take much note of this as he started to walk towards her. Jabari, still trying to get close enough to help, let loose yet another shockwave to try and intercept the man. Seeing the two attacks approach from either side the Lucario sped his pace up, running forward he twisted himself to dodge past Marie's bubbles. Then, as the electricity caught up to him the Lucario's supernatural reflexes kicked in, the Godslayer kicking off of the ground and leaping into the air to avoid the attack. Now airborne, the man looked towards Marie again, charging up a steel pulse of energy again before firing the beam towards her.

As she could actually see this attack coming, the girl dove to the side and tumbled away as the attack smashed into the ground in her place. Slowly picking herself back up, now on all fours, the girl saw that Lucario was about to land. Taking in another deep breath, the girl sent out one more torrent of bubbles that struck the Lucario as he landed. Though this had been significantly stronger than any of the icy winds that had hit him thus far, he still didn't seem at all distressed by being hit. Instead, the moment he had landed, he was already in motion again running towards the girl and kicking upwards. Slamming his foot into her gut, all the wind was knocked out of Marie as she was launched away from him. Picking herself up again, having a coughing fit as she tried to get her breathing back to normal she looked towards the Lucario. Defiantly, she coughed out, "th-they won't...lose. And neither," she coughed, "w-will we."

Group 1: Easter and Nine

Ankou's eyes had a wild look to them as she looked back and forth between the two Gijinka. Her lips curled into a snarl that twisted her originally serene face. It was clear that the woman was getting more on edge by how long this fight was taking and how many hits they had landed.

Instead of slowing down though she seemed to start speeding up. The woman started to Teleport more often. Almost as soon as she appeared she would vanish again. Sometimes not even letting out an attack between teleportations.

She would just vanish. Appear. Sometimes let loose an attack and then vanish once again. Moving in a vaguely triangular pattern around the two of them. Eventually she would slow for long enough to start crafting another of those prisms. This time around Easter. "I'm...so tired of both of you." She snarled.

Spoiler

Reminder: Ankou, Gardevoir, Synchronize, level 80. Moves: Teleport, Psyshock, Draining Kiss, Thunderbolt, Taunt.

So this post is mostly an explanation of how her fighting style has changed up to one more frantic. So work that into your posts.

Group 2: Denku, Kazo, and Randy

Ryu at first seemed to be somewhat overwhelmed by the flurry of attacks. But after taking several heavy hits he started to notice how the three were moving. Once he got more used to how they were attacking he was able to start dodging. Just barely slipping out from between the three attackers he shot backwards. Using a Fire Blast and his wings to get some distance from the three. Ending with him landing with his back to one of the pillars.

"Alright, come at me, you think you have what it takes? You don't know anything about power!" He shouted, a crazed look in his eyes. "I'll bury you all!"

The man raised both his arms in the air and started to growl. Above them energy swirled and swirled and formed a dark purple cloud. Then, from that cloud, several large objects came hurtling towards the ground. A powerful Draco Meteor that Kazo would realize practically matched Zekrom's from before.

Spoiler

Reminder: Ryu, Salamence, Intimidate, level 80. Moves, Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Wing Attack, Draco Meteor, Fire Blast.

Group 3: Brooke, Nani, and Scarlet

The ground under Mia was cracked in multiple places. The triple attack having caused major damage to the Godslayer and the room itself. She was still for a moment but before the three could follow up, or relax, she let out a manic giggle and sprung into action.

Tucking her feet back she thrust them out and kicked the nearest of the three, which happened to be Nani, and launched the Mimikyu backwards. The moment she had a bit of space the girl curled her body into Rollout form and took off along the edge. Though she merely reached the rim of the curve before stopping and turning towards them. Her body looked rather beaten but she seemed as strong as ever as she spread her arms. "I've taken...much more than that. And I'll take much more. You don't get it yet. I might be beaten here but not before I break all of you first!"

The bells sounded anew as she prepared to fling herself back into the fight.

Spoiler

Reminder: Mia, Miltank, Scrappy, level 80. Moves: Rollout, Body Slam, Zen Headbutt, Fire Punch, Heal Bell.

To be clear she's heavily damaged but it will be harder to "catch" her again like that. Basically she's switching up the goal to winning to just trying to damage you all as much as possible before going down. Not saying you HAVE to get battered though.

Group 4: Taiga, Keanu, and Lok

Spoiler

Well, might be obvious but Sethera's post makes it difficult to follow up on since the attack would simply be continuing atm but it does give a lot to go off of. So this round Hyde try and be sure to post soon so that Sethera can have the response to Lok and Taiga's....well, response to Veronica's Special Move.

Group 5: Mac, Ari, Marie, Dora

The five of them ended up finding themselves surrounding the Lucario. Like points on a star with him in the center. He was standing still and not focusing on any of them in particular at the moment.

There was a strange stillness and then the Lucario sighed. "You have taken more than enough of my time." His aura flared up and they could physically see the energy coming off of him now. Jabari was the first to react and started towards the man but he was too fast. Before any of them could reach him he started firing off consecutive Aura Spheres. Five of them in total heading one for each of the fighters.

Jabari took the attack straight on as he went towards Lucario and fell to the ground. Skidding across and ending up near Lucario's feet.

Dora couldn't dodge in time and was hit, herself, and the force of the energy threw her across the room despite not being a physical attack. From there she struggled to get back to her feet.

Mac was somewhat more lucky. Seeing Jabari hit she tried to dart away from the Aura Sphere despite it following her. Then, realizing it was still moving she suddenly raced towards the Lucario and tried to leap over him. Only for him to grab onto her ankle and slam her down into the ground. Though the Aura Sphere proceeded forward and he had to use Force Palm to stop from being hit by his own attack.

And then Jabari with a grunt launched himself from the ground towards the disturbingly calm Lucario.

Spoiler

Reminder: Lucario, Inner Focus, level 95. Moves: Aura Sphere, Force Palm, Flash Cannon, Extreme Speed, Detect.

Jabari, Zebstrika, Motor Drive, level 75. Moves: Flame Charge, Shock Wave, Ion Deluge, Thrash, Endure.

Might have to slow a little on this group stuff to draw it out a bit if you don't mind. Might have to be a bit more defensive or something. Also whoever posts first can have the response to Jabari. Didn't want to go too far given the Aura Sphere thing.

Brooke cracked her neck as the Miltank spun away. The attack had been surprisingly successful; they had shockingly good coordination for having never met each other before. It wasn’t over yet though. The bells tolled again as Mia declared her intention to do as much damage as possible on her way out. “G-g-got a-a n-n-new p-p-plan,” she forced out over the noise, ignoring the incessant ache seeping into her bones.

She couldn’t afford to use Half-Body Susano’o. She had no idea how much more fighting they left ahead of them. She had been practicing her partial form though. She could do this.

Another attack slammed into her back, knocking her forward, but Brooke managed to keep on her feet. She threw her arms out to the side and when she did, blue-white flames encircled them, forming into huge arms with wicked, claws hands. The burning pain immediately overshadowed even the tolling of the bells from the Miltank; for the first time, Brooke was almost glad that it hurt to use it. It grounded her.

“HY-AH!” Brooke brought both the Avatar’s arms forward to latch onto one corner of the arena and tear at it; the stone immediately started to scorch, and it shattered beneath the claws, before eventually heating up to a point that it began to glow and lose shape, boiling and hissing almost like molten lava.

Mia smashed into her again. This time the attack did knock the Emboar off her feet, dispelling her Avatar, but her job was done. There was no way that the Miltank could avoid the portion of the wall she had all but melted, hopefully slowing her down and giving the others a chance to finish the fight.

A triple-threat attack! This seemed more like Randy's kind of gig than a lightweight like Nani, but oh well. When in Adarid, do as the Adaridians(?) do. And at least right now, what the Adaridians did was fight. To survive, if not to win. Survival didn't seem to be Mia's priority right now. If it was, it would have been smarter to surrender and let the group proceed, right? Instead, she rang that big bell again. For the second time, Nani absorbed the attack, but it looked like she wasn't getting a third. Plus, now she could hear those bells in full. So that's why the others wanted to stop her.

And honestly, Nani wasn't sure what in the fresh and fiery hell it was that Brooke did. Something really impressive! She probably wouldn't be able to copy that even if she tried. But whatever it was, it had done quite a number on the wall. And here I thought I was the spooky one. But flaming spirit avatars aside, this meant that cow was in a pretty bad situation. What better to do than make it harder to slip out of. And...

"Zap!"

Nani wasn't sure when or how she learned to fire these pulses of electricity, but she sure was glad she had the knowledge right now.

The more furious that the Gardevoir had become the more assured that Nine was that they would. The pressure was starting to show in her expression, word and otherwise manic fighting style. She was still not finished though and she was definitely still a threat. So, the two of them couldn't afford to make even one slip up in this final moment. Trying to defend against her - much less attack her - was proving to be quite difficult in the face of her rapid teleportation. His eyes could barely keep up with her, and they only managed to settle on her when she took the time to stop and attack. As a result, his responses to such attacks were slowed down and he was, at best, able to respond with an attack of his own purely to help him evade the attack. Still, the bolts of electricity were still getting through and he knew he had to do something about this. So, as he had against his last foe he simply focused inward.

Nine was not like his mother and could not actually track another person's aura. He did not have a sixth sense that would allow him to "see" another person and the course of their attacks. But, he did have knowledge and instinct. Knowledge gained from each of his opponents up until this point. Instinct polished by all of his battles. And so even if he could not "see" her or her attacks, every so often he could "feel" them. He could form a prediction based on intuition and through that, be able to tell where she would go. That alone wasn't enough; it was neither perfect and the sheer amount of teleportations made it unreliable for him to try and predict them all. He had to cut the useless information to sharpen his senses even further. The ones that mattered to predict were the ones where she gave an opening, the ones where she attacked.

As he focused, Nine sharply turned to face the woman as she was attacking Easter. He had noticed too late and the window to retaliate was closed. But, he was getting closer. She wasn't doing much in way of hiding her intent and Nine was starting to get a good feel for this spastic rhythm of hers. It wasn't as though there was a pattern he could discern but he could just feel when the opening arrived. Focusing for that opening, Nine continued to wait for the woman's attack, and when he noticed turned to face her. He had seen her, charging her hand with purple energy as she began to draw a line with it. First line. Second line. As she was drawing the final line on her triangle, a pulse of darkness struck her dead on, interrupting her drawing. The purple prism that was starting to form around Easter shattered.

The woman glared at Nine after receiving his attack. It didn't even take some sixth sense for him to realize he was next. Looking around, Nine saw the woman teleport around, stopping while she was a fair distance away. With flame already charged in his hand though, Nine let loose a stream of fire as Ankou let loose lightning towards him. The two attacks were angled so as to pass each other by, rather than collide, and both opponents managed to strike each other. Nine winced as the lightning coursed through his body, and Ankou as well was knocked back by the fire, her wild hair slightly singed by it. Seeing the look on her face again, Nine could tell what was coming next. Recovering from the attack, Nine stood up charging his arm with darkness as the woman teleported in front of him. Looking her dead in the eye, Nine's body seemed to be moving backwards and his eyes glanced to the side. In that moment. Ankou paused her teleportation, remembering what had happened she had teleported behind him last time. It was only a moment of hesitation as she tried to figure out which direction to go. And that moment was what Nine had planned for.

Going from moving backwards into a lunge, Nine brought his fist forward and slammed it into the face of Ankou. Caught off guard by the Houndoom's sudden attack, Ankou was knocked off of her feet and launched backwards. With her momentum of teleporting being cut short, the woman found it harder to do so as exhaustion was now catching up with her. Nine's breathing as well was once again ragged, feeling his own fatigue from having to keep up with such a foe. His eyes widened and he put his arms to brace himself against the next attack, however, as Ankou was still not done. Firing a thunderbolt which Nine was unable to dodge, Ankou slowly got back onto her feet. "Easter!" Nine shouted as his knees buckled under the pain of electricity moving through his whole body. Still, he smiled as he looked to his companion shouting, "she's all yours!"

Though Marie had managed to pick herself back up, she froze in place for a moment as the Lucario spoke. There was a sense of immediate dread that washed over her, followed by a slight rush of terror. The girl gulped but, staying true to her own words, bit her lip as she tried to keep focused on fighting the Godslayer. As his aura swelled up, becoming visible for all to see, Marie watched as he let loose a barrage of aura spheres. Diving out of the way of the attack, she managed to avoid the attack at first glance. However as she picked herself back up, it seemed that the orb had swerved and arced back upwards before diving towards the girl. Seeing this, Marie rolled to the side again and the Aura sphere managed to miss her and instead crashed into the ground right next to her. The force of the attack was still made apparent, merely the impact of it against the ground still forcing Marie away and causing her to roll further across the ground.

Coughing Marie tried to pick herself up. The girl looked to see Jabari dive at the Lucario once again, only for him to get his back slammed by both of the Lucario's fists. The girl grit her teeth as it seemed that even the strongest of them was starting to lose against this unstoppable force. Yet still, Marie wouldn't back down from her opponent. She'd keep fighting until she couldn't anymore. Because he was a bully and the only thing to do was stand up against them. Working herself up for a third time, the girl slowly rose to her feet as her aura seemed to gain a more aqueous look to it.

Taiga watched on as she made her approach.  The Raichu had done some sort of insane attack that she'd never seen once before in her life.  It was kind of incredible how devastating it looked.  But even after all that their foe still stood, albeit, with a new hairdo.  Taiga still was running, faster than before, when Veronica started to lift herself into the air.

"No...I shouldn't expect uncivilized plebeians like you to understand. I didn't want to use this move, but...I won't hold back anymore!"

The godslayer began to twist in midair, whipping up a tornado that sucked the close range Keanu into it's swell.  Taiga stopped in her tracks, commanding her spectral fangs to clench themselves into the ground beneath.  With a tight grip, Taiga held onto the jaws.  However, due to the force of the vortex, the ground the teeth hung onto was starting to give way.  She need a plan, and fast.  She'd need to move fast enough that the winds from Veronica wouldn't be enough to lift her off the ground and into the attack.  But how was she even going to get a running start in this situation?  After a quick second of thought, she laughed at herself.

"Same as always!"  She roared, as a geyser beneath her feet sprung out in an instant, lifting her to the top of the room in almost an instant.  The geyser pinned her against the ceiling, and at the rate of speed in which she did so, she managed to give herself a bit of recoil.  But the maneuver gave her enough time to get herself into a favorable position.  "LOAD THE SHARPEDO!"  She cackled, as she could feel a surge of energy spread throughout her body.  She could feel almost every bit of muscle tense up, before boosting themselves to their limit.  "Is this how you did it, ya old fossil?  Well I'm gonna do it ten times better, so says Taiga the Terrible Tyrant who Toppled the Tyrnatrum!~  FUFUFU!"  The geyser had stopped, Taiga's feet pinned against the wall.  In an instant, she shot herself directly towards Veronica's position in the storm, a powerful vacuum appearing in front of her head as her speed and power was enough to neglect the fast winds.

"TAIGA BOMB!"  She roared, as she soared into the gale force winds.

Ari was too exhausted, injured, and slow to do much more than take the Aura Sphere when it came toward him. Coughing out blood, the Litleo collapsed to the ground then, limbs shaking weakly. He couldn't move. He just couldn't. He watched the others attack the Godslayer with vacant, empty eyes. There's nothing more...I can do.

He had done all he could do, but it still wasn't enough. That was just how it was. He wasn't strong enough. Try as he might, he had reached his limit.

"Ari...get up."

No...I can't. I'm too tired now.

"Do not say that. A true king does not say what he cannot do. He finds what he can do. What can you do, Prince Ariel of Pride Rock?"

What can I do? I can...

"FIGHT!" he shouted, battle spirit rekindled. It wasn't over yet. If he had the energy to give up, to beat himself up, he had the energy to fight still. Limbs creaking, blood streaming from his various wounds, he ran for the Godslayer once more in a Return to the battle. The enemy was distracted by the others around him and was unable to avoid his attack. Or maybe he just didn't care. Either way, Ari couldn't just let it all end like this!

Easter ground his teeth as he noticed Ankou's speed pick up, ignoring the nagging voice in the back of his head that told him that that wasn't good for his teeth. Eating candy isn't good for them either, but I still eat it! The Sylveon bit back a curse when the Gardevoir began to craft another one of her prisms. Thankfully, before he had to do anything about it, Nine had shattered it with a well-timed Dark Pulse.

"Thanks!" he shouted, but Nine had already moved on to his next attack, a Flamethrower meeting the enemy's Thunderbolt. For a second, it looked like the two attacks would meet, but they passed each other by instead. As they fought, Easter took the opportunity to use another Wish, this time on himself. He had noticed himself slowing down a little, and he couldn't let that happen. He would heal himself, and Nine, as many times as he had to if only to take down the maddened woman in front of them.

Still, perhaps he should have used it on Nine instead. The Houndoom's breathing had grown ragged, knees buckling from the pain of Ankou's next Thunderbolt. Still, he smiled as he shouted out, "Easter! She's all yours!"

"Don't have to tell me twice," the Sylveon responded with a grim smile of his own. Firing up a Moonblast, he aimed it at the Gardevoir. Slowed from her previous attack, the fellow fairy type was unable to avoid the attack, crying out in pain as she began to sink to her own knees. Before she could fully do so, however, she disappeared once more.

"Not many people can take many of my Moonblasts, but it turns out she's one of them," Easter clicked his tongue. "Come on, Nine, it looks like we can take her down--" he cut himself off as he threw himself backward. The Gardevoir had teleported directly next to him, so he wasn't able to avoid the entirety of the Psyshock she had directed at him. Wincing from the pain, he shook it off forcibly, running forward the few steps needed before punching the woman in the gut and sending her flying, unsurprised when she disappeared while in mid-air.

Now...where is she going to reappear? Easter wondered. His ears twitched as he caught the slightest crackling sound coming from... "Above!" he shouted, flipping backward to avoid the Thunderbolt. Landing on his hands briefly, he swung back into a kick aimed right for the Gardevoir, adding a spin to give it more strength. Unfortunately, the psychic type took advantage of the close range to grant him a Draining Kiss, an attack which was unavoidable. Losing strength in his kick, he flipped off of her to fall to the ground in a three-point landing. Yet once again, Ankou had used Teleport, disappearing from his sight.

Though Lok's attack had been strengthened by the residual electricity in the surroundings, the speed of the cyclone surrounding Veronica was so high that only a bit of the electricity managed to reach her, most of it bouncing off due to the high winds. However, Taiga's attack, powered by her fast speed, was enough to get through the tornado. Crashing into Veronica and causing the winds to slow as the Crobat was forced to stop her rotations as she was thrown backward against the far wall, slamming through multiple poles, and in the process, destroying them. As she started to slide down, the three could see a crater where her head had Giga Impacted with the wall.

However, the Sharpedo did not come out of it unscathed either. The harsh winds, while slower than before, were still enough to send the water type flying from pole to pole like Keanu, and at the end of it, both gijinka would find themselves disoriented, with the wind knocked out of them. Keanu was in an especially poor state.

I'm done for, he thought, head spinning. No...more.

However, mercifully, he did not find himself attacked during this time. Instead, he could see, out of the corner of his eyes, a flicker of movement as the Crobat dove for the others. Somehow, she was still able to move after that last attack.

"You knaves!" Veronica shrieked, materializing a pair of fangs at Taiga and following it up with a second pair aimed toward Lok. "How dare you interrupt my attack!" It was obvious that the usage of the special move combined with Taiga's geyser-powered drill had worn her down significantly. Her hair was still a mess of static, but now windblown on top of it. Her eyes were bloodshot and unfocused, her clothes slightly ripped from the winds as she bled in multiple places, including the back of her head. Her prior graceful movements were now completely gone, replaced by rapid-fire attack after attack, swooping down at Lok now in an erratic Flight right after her Leech Life against him.

Keanu knew he had to do something. He had to, but he just couldn't summon the strength. It was like the Lucario fight all over again. He just...wasn't good enough. His fingers crackled with electricity as he attempted to materialize an Electro Ball, but the attack fizzled out into useless sparks immediately afterward.

Is this as far as I go? the Alolan Raichu wondered.

A flash of orange caught his attention briefly as his eyes fluttered shut.

--

In the background, unnoticed by Veronica, a small Fletchling had woken up, rubbing the area of her head where the Crobat had chopped her into unconsciousness. Shaking her head slightly, she looked up, staggering to her feet and tottering toward where Keanu lay.

Ryu successfully maneuvered in a way to avoid being fully pummelled by the quick movements and attacks in succession by Randy, Kazo and Denku...but obviously it wasn’t enough. Randy noticed immediately that the Salamence started to dodge their attacks, obviously getting a feeling for how the three were moving and how their attacks were working. With a combination of Fire Blast and Wing Attack, Ryu was able to gain distance yet again...returning to his favorite pillar.

What came next...was a shock for the Incineroar...a Draco Meteor.

"Alright, come at me, you think you have what it takes? You don't know anything about power! I'll bury you all!"

“Tch...that isn’t good...” Randy muttered, gritting his teeth a bit. “We may need to fall back for a moment...”

Kazo gritted his teeth as he saw the Draco Meteor fall from the sky. "I was waiting for this moment!" Kazo called out as he took a deep breath. He threw his arms in the air in a similar way to Ryu, the dark purple clouds forming and releasing his own Draco Meteor. The force of both attacks collided head-on, releasing a brilliant purple explosion.

“J-Jeez...a Draco Meteor...countering a Draco Meteor?” Randy simply stood in awe at this, doing his best to keep himself from getting hit with any of the debris. “Arceus be damned...you two aren’t a pair to be messing around with!” he snickered in Denku’s direction.

"Don't s-sell yourself short, sir…," Kazo panted, feeling weaker from the Draco Meteor. "You've been keeping up with him in close combat… I-I certainly can't do that,"

"Don't sell yourself short either bro," Denku commented. Suddenly, Ryu's head snapped in the direction of Denku.

"Bro…? As in… brother?" It suddenly got eerily silent, the only sound ringing through the arena was the insane laughter of Ryu growing louder and louder. "Oh, I thought being able to kill you was a gift, but bringing me your brother as well?!" He looked at Kazo, pure malice in his eyes. "Now you'll suffer as I have," Suddenly, he vanished, Denku disappearing as well.

“...w-what the hell?! He wasn’t that fast earlier...” the Incineroar looked around frantically, his eyes darting around some, before directing a question to Kazo. “...do you see them?”

"Barely saw him move," Kazo muttered as his eyes darted around the place. "I didn't think those Dragon Dances would make him that fast," Suddenly, a loud booming noise echoed through the arena. Spinning around, Kazo saw Ryu with his hand around Denku's throat, smashing the rock brother into the wall. With a mad cackle, Ryu then flew swiftly, dragging Denku across the wall like a rag.

“There he is...” Randy watched Ryu dragging Denku around like some sort of rag. He glanced at Kazo and smirked. “Kazo...give me your hand real quick.” he spoke, his right shoulder rolling slightly. “I’m going to throw you.”

Kazo blinked but nodded, holding out his hand for Randy to grab.

Randy smirked, grabbing a hold of Kazo’s hand and began to spin around a bit, building up speed and momentum. “Alright...incoming Sand Shark Missile!!” he shouted, releasing the Gabite in the direction towards Ryu.

Kazo took off like a missile, streaking through the air. It seemed Randy had good aim, because Kazo intercepted Ryu, crashing into his side with an Iron Head. Grunting, Ryu had let go of Denku, who fell to the ground, coughing. Ryu turned, giving Kazo an uppercut to his stomach, sending the younger dragon to the ceiling. Ryu then flew up, smashing his fist into Kazo's gut, before unleashing a barrage of punches, keeping Kazo pinned to the ceiling with the sheer speed and force of his attacks.

"Randy," Denku called out as he stood up, coughing. "Th-this time… I'm throwing you…,"

“Wait...excuse me?” Randy asked after moving up towards the Pupitar. “...can you even throw me like this?” It was strange to him that this would be suggested by Denku, but hey, if it worked that would be awesome.

"Don't worry, I got this," Denku stated before grabbing Randy's hand. Gritting his teeth, he attempted to spin around. At first, he had trouble with the size difference between the two, but he fired some of his gas out his elbow and ankle, allowing him to pick up speed and lift Randy off the ground. The two spun around, faster and faster, until finally, Denku released, sending Randy flying through the air towards Ryu.

This was a different feeling for Randy...as he was never one being launched up into the air like this...and it was somewhat...invigorating. He grinned from ear to ear as he was flying closer and closer to the Salamence, before moving slightly got right into the close space between Ryu and himself, before striking with a swift Close Combat. Once he got the Dragon Type where he wanted, he grabbed the Godslayer before doing what he could to fling him towards the ground. “And that’s not all you're getting!” he shouted, falling quickly towards Ryu before bringing his elbow down right into his gut, slamming him into the ground. “ABSOL-UTE ELBOW DROP!!!”

While this all happened, Denku blasted off, flying through the air and catching Kazo, the two landing on the ground, the younger brother having to vomit on the floor from how brutal the attack was.

Randy kept the Salamence pinned down after his elbow drop. “Hehe...no lie...this might be one of the best fights I’ve ever had...” he chuckled, wiping the sweat off his brow as he kept the Godslayer pinned down. “...n-now do me a favor and stay the hell down...”

"I could say the same to you!" Ryu growled as he struggled to break free.

“Yeah, gonna be a no from me, bruddah.” Randy shook his head, doing his best to keep the Dragon Type pinned.

Ryu only glared daggers at Randy, growling deeply. “Get...” he started, before unleashing a loud roar. “GET OFF!!!” With another menacing aura developing around him, he fired a point blank Fire Blast at Randy which knocked him back.

“T-Tch...y-you’re a ballsy one…!” Randy groaned, trying to get steady after this, but the moment he finally did he felt a strong grip at his throat, which caused him to cough as he was strangled.

“You...are trying...MY PATIENCE!! Ryu roared, slamming Randy into one of the pillars, before taking his open hand and using Dragon Claw. Once he did, he released the Fire Type from his grasp and began to wail on the gijinka with an onslaught of Dragon Claws. “I’ll kill you...and then I’ll kill that Pupitar...AND THEN...I’ll make sure my vengeance is sweet when I snap that Gabite’s neck...watch the life drain from his eyes. Then my brother will be truly avenged!”

Randy groaned, not being able to really get out of the position he was in, as he was pinned right into the pillar and now being used as this Salamence’s punching bag. This was the third Godslayer he had faced...but unlike the Lucario and Allie, where one was an all out bloodbath almost and the other was one he and his friends fought once before...this Salamence was trying to get vengeance for his brother who died at the hands of Kazo and minute by minute, he was getting more and more frantic and frenzied.

Denku watched Kazo recover for a second before he charged ahead, leaping into the air and landing on Ryu’s back, wrapping his arms around the dragon’s neck for a chokehold. For added measure, he fired off a blast of gas, causing the two to fly away from Randy. Ryu, however, wasn’t a champion for no reason, so he flew straight up, crashing Denku into the ceiling, the impact causing Denku’s grip to loosen enough for Ryu to flip the rock type off his back and into the ground. Ryu then dived at Denku, but the older brother was able to roll out of the way before Ryu collided with him.

The Godslayer growled, turning and ready to attack Denku, before a voice got his attention.

“Was that… all you got, Billy?” Kazo called out, standing up as he wiped away some of the vomit from his lip.

“You… I don’t want to hear that name again, especially not from you!  Ryu snapped.

“That’s too bad,” Kazo snapped back. “Because I’m not here to beat Ryu the Godslayer, or Ryu the Sports Star. I’m here to beat Billy the Salamence…,” Without another word, Ryu shot forward, a Dragon Claw primed and ready to tear through Kazo’s skin like butter. Meanwhile, Kazo took a deep breath, his right arm shaking. He’d have to show off his speed, right here, right now.

He’d be worthy of the speed he saw from Latios that day.

With that, Kazo charged, the two speeding at each other like speeding bullets. At the last second though, both broke away, dashing to the side, aware the other was going to attack and did their best to avoid it. The two stared each other down, both knowing that they wouldn’t land their attack without the other hitting them.

That was something they both would accept.

They charged once more, this time not breaking away. Ryu swung his claw up, the glowing appendage catching the side of Kazo’s face, slicing through his sunglasses and going over his eye. It hurt like a bitch, but Kazo powered through, landing his shaking fist and burying it into Ryu’s gut.

Ryu let out a pained gasp as he backed away, his internals painfully lurching as he did. While the others saw only a single punch, Ryu knew that wasn’t what happened, even if he barely registered it. Kazo wasn’t strong enough to land a strong blow, so instead, he had thrown a bunch of punches at the same spot in under a second. They didn’t hurt individually, but he started to feel them after the 73rd one, and it was actually painful around the 237th one.

Still, he was standing, and Kazo didn’t have it in him to do another one of those punches, if the fact the other dragon was holding his right arm in pain was any indication.

“Not… good enough!” Ryu called out before he went on the attack again.

Back at the pillar...Randy finally fell forward from the indentation in the pillar, now landing right on his face. “...d-does anyone have the number...for the lōlō that w-was riding that wave…?” he groaned, flipping himself over slightly. “...a-anyone want to t-tag in…?” He groaned again, slowly shuffling himself up as he watched Ryu and Kazo's stare down. ...l-looks like he's on his last legs...heh...guess it's time to show this Godslayer the 'Warm Welcome' from Alola... he thought, a smirk forming on his face.

Lok
Team ThunderWaves

Lok barely managed to dive out of the way of the fangs flying towards him, although he wasn't able to dodge out of the way of Veronica as she swooped down on him, grabbing him by the collar. Lok felt himself crash through a couple of the poles before being lifted off of the poles below him. Lok's eyes filled with panic as he stared the Godslayer in the eyes, fangs starting to materialize. "No!" He shouted and, in the moment of panic, let out a gust of Ominous Wind from his body to try and get her off of him. The winds blew, but her grip on him didn't let up, as the fangs sunk into his shoulder through the winds that were now circling around him. He let out an agonizing shout, his leg jerking as one of the pieces of the pole he had taken fell from his pocket.

Suddenly, Lok would disappear possessing the last piece of bark in his pocket as it fell towards the ground.

Scarlet
Team SuperPower

Scarlet watched as Brooke's body suddenly burst into flames. However, instead of attacking Mia she attacked the arena itself, smelting it into a rougher shape. "This better work...!" Scarlet said, her wings fluttering as she watched Nani fire off a Thunder Wave. Both of them had slowed her down, now it was up to her to strike. Scarlet darted in, her armor glowing red hot once more, a trail of steam following her as she reached the Godslayer. The ringing of the bells were deafened by the battle cry she let out, striking the now-slowed Mia right in the chest with one powerful Superpower'd punch, sending her stumbling back towards the wall. Scarlet kept her assault, letting out a flurry of punches.

Mia managed to block some of the attacks, her fists blazing aflame to counter act the punches. But she wasn't able to stop all the punches, her muscles tensing up occasionally from the paralysis. When the blows ended, Mia was once again with her back against the wall, more steam leaving Scarlet's body as her breath got heavier. Despite her weakened body language, however, her eyes were still fierce as she glared down the Godslayer in front of her.

Group 1: Easter and Nine

Something seemed to be different. When Ankou reappeared this time her face looked strained. And the teleportation itself had taken longer. Still the woman didn't look to be giving up. "No, no, it's not supposed to be like this. You're supposed to fall dead and my job would be done. Why aren't you dead yet?" She practically screeched the last as she fired a dual-Thunderbolt. Arcing lightning towards both of the two Gijinka.

Spoiler

Reminder: Ankou, Gardevoir, Synchronize, level 80. Moves: Teleport, Psyshock, Draining Kiss, Thunderbolt, Taunt.

Ankou's teleportation is "running out" in a sense. I'd say it's time to end this. Figure out how you want to finish this up between the two of you.

Group 2: Denku, Kazo, and Randy

Ryu clutched his stomach and spat to the side. A glob of blood coming from his mouth as he did. He began to chuckle, then full on laugh, and run his hand manically through his hair. "Ha..haha....pretty good hits. But you can't bring me down like that. Maybe you should've...aimed for the head."

He then pushed forward at top speed. Hurtling towards Kazo and grabbing the young dragon by the face. Dragging him along with the Godslayer made his way in a flash to where Denku was and grabbed him as well. Lifting the two brothers up by their heads he snarled. "Maybe after another lifetime you could have beaten me." And then flames started to form in his mouth as he prepared to unleash a point blank Fire Blast targeting the two Gijinka.

Spoiler

Reminder: Ryu, Salamence, Intimidate, level 80. Moves, Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Wing Attack, Draco Meteor, Fire Blast.

You might be slightly TOO hammy, even for this, with that 200 punch thing lol. But I'm not too concerned about it. Though it's not like I'd like being the one giving the dialogue, b-baka

Anywho, I'd say that this would be a good point to wrap this one up with your next post.

Group 3: Brooke, Nani, and Scarlet

Mia let out a long groan as she pushed herself off the side of the wall. Only to promptly fall down on her face. "No, no, no." They heard her mutter. "Move, body, move." She was struggling to force herself to stand but it seemed she wasn't able to prop herself up. Groaning again she looked up at them with fury on her face. Letting out a savage shout the bells began to clang more violently than before. They weren't louder, nor did they hurt more than previously, but the ground began to rumble. Then shake. And Mia's body started to get pitched upward. Slightly at first but then the ground itself seemed to toss her above their heads.

With a growl she brought her fist back in a Fire Punch as she fell towards Scarlet. Then, before reaching her, she instead tucked herself into a ball and suddenly she was rolling through the air while her entire body blazed with flame.

Spoiler

Reminder: Mia, Miltank, Scrappy, level 80. Moves: Rollout, Body Slam, Zen Headbutt, Fire Punch, Heal Bell.

Honestly I just thought of the flaming rollout and wanted to do it....so yeah. Like the others I would say that you can probably finish up the fight this round.

Group 4: Taiga, Keanu, and Lok

Veronica tried to go for another biting attack on Lok but the boy had suddenly vanished. She looked, somewhat wildly, around and didn't notice him. She was so intent on finding the ghost she didn't even notice the movement of the young girl right then. Instead her eyes settled in on the one who hadn't vanished, like Lok, or wasn't fully downed, like Keanu.

She took off towards Taiga, moving in an arc upwards before diving down at her from where she was against the pole. While rushing towards him she brought her arms out and in a cross formation to strike with Cross Poison when she reached Taiga.

Spoiler

Reminder: Veronica, Crobat, Infiltrator, level 75. Moves: Leech Life, Cross Poison, Tailwind, Taunt, Fly.

So, should check with Sethera to be sure, but I'm thinking we can probably also end this fight in this round. Check with the others before doing anything though if you can.

Group 5: Mac, Ari, Marie, Dora

The Lucario simply sighed as he kicked at Jabari. Throwing the powerful Zebstrika across the room as casually as kicking a ball into a net. Dora, whose injuries finally seemed to be catching up to her, stumbled her way towards him and collapsed down next to him.

"C-come on." She breathed out. "We can't have nap time now. Not this time. Gotta keep...gotta keep going."

Mac was still at the Lucario's feet and was fading in and out of consciousness. She stirred when Ari shouted out to fight. As the boy rushed towards the uncaring Lucario Mac started to charge electricity.

The Lucario seemed to notice that Marie was doing...something. He almost lazily lifted a hand and shot out a Flash Cannon just as Ari slammed into him.

He let out a grunt and even slid a couple steps to the side as Ari landed his attack. With an annoyed frown the Lucario reached for Ari.

Which was when Mac got up into a crouching position and thrust her arm in a punching motion. "If Ari is gonna keep fighting I can't stop either!" Discharging the electricity she had gathered into a concentrated blast that struck the Lucario and caused him to hesitate for a moment.

Spoiler

Reminder: Lucario, Inner Focus, level 95. Moves: Aura Sphere, Force Palm, Flash Cannon, Extreme Speed, Detect.

Jabari, Zebstrika, Motor Drive, level 75. Moves: Flame Charge, Shock Wave, Ion Deluge, Thrash, Endure.

Jabari isn't fully down, though Dora will probably not be able to do a whole lot more right now. That being said unlike the others we're obviously not going to actually end this soon but if you want to "end" this part and sorta fade to black for a while then let me and the other in the group know and we can figure something out for that.

Brooke snarled and pulled herself back onto her feet; the red aura of Fighting-type energy flared back up around her as she did. “Oh no you don’t!” she shouted, and jumped into the air as Mia descended toward the Scizor gijinka like a meteor.

She cupped her hands together at the last second. “Serve’s up Nani!” Then Brooke smashed her fists into the spinning, fiery Miltank in what could only be described as a picture perfect volleyball serve. All of the momentum behind Mia clashed with the Emboar’s super powered strength for a moment, and then, as if they were twin rockets, there was a minor explosion of flames and the two gijinka were launched into the opposite directions of each other.

Brooke smashed into the ground below. The crash created a small crater around her, her clothes smoking from the heat of the flames. Mia on the other hand had lost all momentum and been propelled higher-up, still somewhat curled into a ball, just waiting to be spiked.

Marie's breath was ragged as she stood, looking towards her foe. The Lucario didn't seem any worse for wear and it was very apparent they weren't going to win. As the man seemed to lazily go to attack her, only to be interrupted, this was only more so reinforced. Still, she wasn't ready to give up. And she still had one more trump card to use. Even if it wouldn't be strong enough to defeat him, she knew what she had to do. In every fight it was everyone else standing in front of her and protecting her that let her fight as freely as she was able to, even if it wasn't very freely to begin with. They had always been there in the face of the enemy and Marie simply had to stand behind them and be protected. But not this time. This time she would give her all. She would give every ounce of her strength to help whoever fought him next to have a fighting chance against him. Because even if they were to lose against the Godslayer, she knew - knew -  that the others wouldn't.

Taking a deep breath, the girls aura started to ebb and flow through her body. Slowly but surely it started to pulse, contracting only to flare back up. Each time it did, flare grew bigger and bigger. Until finally the girl let out a soft sing song note, holding it as water started to form around her. With the water starting to rise and form into a massive orb above her, the Lucario turned to face her. While the man seemed ready to just hit Marie again, he noticed that the Zebstrika behind him was beginning to get back up.

Igniting his arms, Jabari charged from his prone position, getting up and running towards the Lucario. The Lucario, in turn, patiently waited for the man as he brought up his arms to counter. As he did however, Mac had let loose another electrical blast at the Lucario. However, he had no need to dodge it as it would never reach him. Instead, intentionally or not, Jabari had been in the path of the attack and as the electricity had hit him it seemed to do nothing to slow down the man. In fact, as the electricity absorbed into his body, he suddenly surged forward at a speed the Lucario hadn't been expecting. Being unable to counterattack as the man was closing the distance too rapidly, he instead opted to sharpen his senses and dodge out of the way of the punch. As Jabari had swung at nothing but air, he was left open for the Lucario's retaliation and took a force palm to the gut. However, Jabari did not move.

Standing firm and steady, a bright orange aura glowing around him Jabari seemed ready to strike back yet again. Charging his arms with electricity the Zebstrika had instantly begun his flurry of blows towards the Lucario. The godslayer could not counter as he always had as well, being slowed down and Jabari now moving faster then ever. So he instead, continued to avoid each punch awaiting an opening. Once he had seen it, though, the Lucario had planted his feet firmly letting out a palm thrust the Godslayer struck Jabari in the gut and forced him away.

"Hahhhhh!" As the Brionne yelled in exertion, an enormous globe of water was flung from above her towards the Lucario. Those had been looking would've been able to see the giant orb of water slowly forming during the Lucario and Jabari's exchange. It wasn't as if the Lucario didn't know it was forming either, Jabari had just demanded all of his attention while it was happening. And now, he had nowhere to run and no time to react. So, he could only stand there and take the giant globe of water, the attack itself exploding with immense force as it struck him. The room was filled with a sudden rainfall as a result of the attack, though it didn't last for more than a few seconds. Marie's breath was ragged as he finally collapsed, having put her all in the attack. And though the Lucario was still standing in the same spot and didn't say anything, his expression had indicated he was clearly surprised by the power behind the attack.

More bells. Now Nani got the problem with those things. Additionally, a flaming punch, then curling up into a ball made of fire. This cow just didn't know when to call it quits, and had all sorts of tricks up her sleeve. If only she wasn't hellbent on world domination or whatever it was these godslayers were up to. She could have been really good at... something. Like not villainous deeds. Maybe racing?

...no, that's just stupid.

She could worry about that later though. Brooke launched the enemy up in the air. Impressive!

“Serve’s up Nani!”

That was her cue. Nani dashed across the room, hopping up to get her feet onto Brooke's shoulders. From there, she sprung upward, a distinctly pink glow from within her sleeves leaving a sparkly trail in her wake as the Mimikyu ascended up to Mia's level, before Nani raised and promptly slammed her arms down onto the Miltank. "And down she goes for Scarlet!"

"Maybe after another lifetime you could have beaten me."

Randy was already moving towards the trio, just as Ryu was planning to fire off a Fire Blast. Grrrrr...this is going to hurt like hell… he thought, quickly using Acrobatics to move a bit faster, before finally getting in position where he was between Denku and Kazo and a menacing Ryu. He grabbed the Gabite and Pupitar with his back facing the Salamence and it collided with the Fire Blast, which propelled him forward.

“...n-ngh...damn...that...” Randy groaned, rolling over and letting go of Denku and Kazo. “...even as a Fire Type...t-that still hurts at point blank...”

"A-are you okay?" Kazo asked, looking up to the Incineroar.

“H-Heh...nothing I haven’t...dealt with before...” Randy sat up slowly, giving a thumbs up. “...dealt with a Tyranitar and a Lucario Godslayer...hell, even dealt with a serial psycho Zoroark...fought against Yveltal and Heatran...h-heh...this isn’t anything.”

"That's quite a track record," Denku said as he cracked his neck. "Makes me thankful to have ya. Although, I'm no slouch when it comes to battling Legends and Godslayers," Kazo stayed quiet, thinking about what he had accomplished with Ari and Mac.

"Yeah, I've fought my own fair share too. This guy will fall like the rest of them," Kazo added.

Randy slowly got up, seeing the Salamence starting to make his way towards them. “Well...if you guys got a bit more in ya...I got something else to try. Heh, somehow I think it’s going to be a surefire method...seeing as most of you gijinka don’t seem to have any clue about the power we have on Alola...” he stood up, flashing the Z-Crystal around his neck. “Gonna need to do it at the right time though. Think you guys got more in the tank for a bit more?”

"I think I got like… one more good attack in me…," Kazo admitted as he looked to his hurt arm.

"I'll keep pushing until he falls," Denku simply stated.

Randy gave them both a thumbs up. “Good… Denku, you and me...gonna try that little combo one more time.” he said, rolling his shoulder some. “This time...I got a damn good feeling that it’ll do something.”

"Alright… let's do this then!" Denku called out as he cracked his knuckles.

“...die...die...die...die...” Ryu muttered. The Salamence seemed incredibly out of it at this point, just being completely incoherent at this moment. But it was obvious that he had one thing in mind: “...pieces of trash...I’ll rip each one of you to shreds...”

BGM

Alright...just a bit closer… Randy thought, watching the Salamence getting closer and closer towards them. He watched the Godslayer finally get within the right distance...and he activated his Z-Crystal. “It’s time!” he shouted, as now underneath Ryu’s feet a bit of a risen floor appeared...and this time, it seemed to take the form of a lot more of a wrestling ring. It might’ve been the locale this time that influenced the outcome, but Randy didn’t know the answer. “Alright Denku...it’s go time!”

“W-What...WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!” Ryu shouted, unsure of what was taking place. “...a..wrestling ring?!”

The Incineroar psyched himself up a bit, before running into the energy ring and roared before holding up his right hand. “You’re damn right it is, bruddah! Welcome to MY domain!! This hand of mine is pulsing dark!!!”

Denku and Kazo were a bit shocked. The man had just made a wrestling ring out of thin air!

“That… is so cool!” Kazo geeked out, sparkles in his eyes. Denku chuckled and ran after Randy. It seemed the energy of the ring was infecting both brothers, who despite their exhaustion and injuries, were grinning like madmen.

“Its dark grip is telling us to defeat you!” Denku added loudly, holding up his right hand as he leapt over the ropes, hand glowing with dark energy.

Randy smirked, his right hand soon became engulfed with dark energy, nodding over at Denku. “And...at this very moment, I finally have a name for this combo.” he said, before rushing towards Ryu.

“Then let it roar out from your very soul!” Denku called out as he rushed towards the Salamence as well.

“HERE WE GO!!!” Randy roared out, closing the gap between him and Ryu, not giving the Godslayer any room to breathe...let alone fly and escape. “DOUBLE DARKNESS PARAGON...STRIKE!!!” he roared out, delivering a Darkest Lariat straight into the Salamence’s stomach.

Denku meanwhile had ran behind the two, jumping on top of the ropes, and with one huge leap, dived at Ryu, calling out the combo attack as he smashed his fist into Ryu’s back.

To the Incineroar, this whole moment here sounded awesome. The combination move with it’s new name...how Denku utilized the wrestling ring’s ropes the way he did...everything was perfect! It was like he was back on Alola…

He gave off a devious smirk, his gold eyes flashing with determination and excitement at this point. “Heh...now lemme show you guys how we do things on Alola!” Randy smirked, before lifting the Salamence up and slung him towards the ropes, watching him bounce against them and now slinging him back towards his outstretched arm, which clotheslined the Godslayer, causing him to now get slammed on the ground. “Hey, c’mon! I know you’ve still got some fight left in you!!”

Ryu no longer spoke, but he snarled with great anger as he started to get back up. However, this was the moment he saw Randy immediately giving Denku a high-five… tagging the Pupitar.

Denku grinned as he cracked his knuckles, making a move towards Ryu. However, before he moved too closely, he heard a loud whistle. Looking behind him, Denku saw Kazo tossing a piece of the pillar’s rubble at him, which the older brother caught easily.

“OHHHHHHH! The audience just brought in...OH MY ARCEUS IS THAT A CHAIR?!” Randy shouted, attempting to be an announcer, whilst leaning over on ropes. “THAT is going to hurt...someone may want to call the medical team for this!” Kazo zipped over, standing by Randy and leaning over the ropes with him.

“Well, that all depends on how he uses---.” Kazo started, attempting to play along, but the Pupitar then rushed at Ryu, leaping into the air and smashing the rock over his head, causing the rock to break. “BAH ARCEUS, HE BROKE THE CHAIR IN HALF!”

“Oh damn...I hope they got the deposit Poké on that chair, it was a rental!” Randy winced at seeing the rubble break in the manner they did. “Still, seems like the rookie over here has quite the potential! Oh wait...he’s getting on the top rope?!” Denku had indeed climbed over the ropes and took another leap off, aiming to land a Dark Pulse charged elbow drop on the villainous Dragon, but Ryu managed to recover from the ‘chair’ hit and grabbed Denku out of the air, tossing him towards the other two.

The elder brother hit the ropes and hit the ground, groaning a bit at his botched attack. He reached up, expecting Randy to tag in, but instead, Kazo slapped his hand, leaping over the ropes and rushing in.

Ryu saw Kazo approach, his pupils shrinking as he let out a growl. With a mighty roar, the purple cloud formed above him once more, raining Draco Meteors down into the small ring. There was no way that brat could dodge all of this!

BGM

Kazo took in a deep breath as he looked up, seeing the purple rocks come crashing down towards him. With no time to lose, he began to move. Strafing left and right, he avoided the places the meteors would land. The first few were easy to dodge, but as the attack continued, more and more rocks filled the area, making it harder to dodge, until he barely had half a second to dodge each attack.

Finally though, as Kazo jumped into the air to avoid a meteor, one exploded next to him, sending him higher into the air. Ryu, seeing this moment of weakness, grinned and launched himself after Kazo, his wings glowing brightly as he went for a Wing Attack. Kazo gritted his teeth, but as he fell back to the ground, he positioned himself into a flying kick. The two collided, and by some miracle, Kazo’s kick prevailed, sending the two into the ground.

“Heh...guess it’s time for this to end.” Randy smirked, exhaling as he felt the Z-Energy begin to swell within him and around him. “Denku! Kazo! Launch that sucker! I’m ending it!” he said, now standing on the top ropes.

Kazo nodded, picking up Ryu and tossing him into the air, as Denku slid underneath the enemy and fired a blast of his air into the ground, launching him and causing him to crash into Ryu, sending Ryu higher into the air.

“NOW we’re talking!!” Randy laughed, before launching himself into the air doing a flip or two, now being above the unsuspecting Salamence. “SIGNATURE MOVE!! MALICIOUS...MOONSAULT!!!” With that, he began to crash down towards Ryu, becoming engulfed in Z-Energy that took the form of dark energy. Finally he hit his target and both came crashing down towards the wrestling ring. “MIGHT WANT TO MOVE YOU TWO!!”

The two quickly scrambled away, giving Randy a clear landing spot to bodyslam the poor soul into the mat. To the Godslayer’s credit, despite all of this, he was still conscious, and attempting to break out. “I… I won’t let you… I won’t let you all BEAT ME!!! Ryu roared.

“Tough luck pal!! Not many gijinka walk away from this!!” Randy laughed, the two finally slamming into the mat with quite the explosion. Once the dust and smoke settled, the wrestling ring began to fade, but nevertheless, Randy was currently pinning the Salamence to the ground. “That’s it...”

Denku rushed over, sliding next to Randy as he got on his hands and knees. “ONE!” He called out, slapping his hand on the fading ring. Ryu roared, fighting against Randy, but the dumb cat had him in such a way he could barely move. “TWO!!” A sound boom resounded through the stadium as Denku’s hand met the mat once again. He raised his hand above his head, gritting his teeth as his hand rushed back down for the final time.

“No, no, NO! Ryu called out. “I WON’T LET IT END THIS---,” Before his sentence could be finish, Kazo ran over, landing an Iron Head on Ryu’s forehead just as Denku’s hand met the mat.

“THREE!!!!” with one final slap on the mat, the Godslayer had finally passed out, and the fight had finally ended.

Randy then got up, pointing up to the sky with a loud roar. "AND THAT'S IT!! Ladies and gentlemen, the victors are TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAM PARAGON!!!!!" he said, triumphantly, before falling over on his back with a huge, stupid smile. "J-Jeez...almost every fight in this region has topped my last...hands down...until the next one comes, THIS has been my best and favorite fight..."

Taiga couldn't help but smile after her attack had landed so perfectly, and did so much damage to the place.  She was so happy with herself, in fact, that  she didn't realize that the gale force winds were beginning to throw her around like a rag doll.  She bounced rapidly between the poles spread throughout the room, uttering a loud and gutteral 'Fu!' every time she impacted one of them at such a velocity.  In time, the winds would peter out, and Taiga would get to feast her eyes on a brutally battered Veronica.  It was enough to make her laugh, if she had the physical capability to do such a thing at the moment.  Veronica came at her with those same jaws, but she jumped back in the nick of time.  However, her sudden maneuver was followed by her rolling on her ankle and sending her straight back on her ass.

"Fufufu...damn...that's gonna cost me."  Her ankle was tender, but she managed to stand back up.  It was a shame, as when she looked onward, Veronica was already once again in hot pursuit.  Taiga took a cross slash of poison straight to her chest, her body being sent back towards the other side of the room.  It stung...a lot.  She propped herself off the ground to look back at the god slayer.  They were all in rough condition, but she'd been in worse situations than this.  She managed to pick herself off the ground once again, wiping her mouth of blood and flicking it onto the ground.

"Sheesh...just give it up lady, before I really turn up the heat."  An obvious bluff.  One of their teammates was gone, and the Raichu was down.  But he wasn't out just yet, she could still see him breathing.  "Hey, are you gonna get off your ass and help me, or what?  I'm tired of having to babysit you, you know?!"  She yelled, chastising him.  "This is gonna cost you extra.  Hope you're a good tipper."  She began to bounce up and down off the ground in an attempts to get her speed back up, ignoring the pain in her ankle the best she could.  A breeze would be able to take this crazy bat bitch out, but the same could go for her.  Before she could bolt off, she saw that same girl from before wake up.  She seemed sore, no doubt because of that blow Veronica gave her in the beginning of all of this.  Taiga grinned at her.

"So...I know you've been out cold for a minute...but would you mind like, maybe I dunno...helping us knock your friend out?"  Taiga had never begged once in her life before.  It was sickening to her, but she was basically saying the unthinkable at this point.

Nine was still on guard as the woman seemed  able to keep fighting. Though she was certainly slowing down, her teleports themselves becoming much easier to track, she was still a godslayer. Nine had learned that they would fight until their very last breath, and underestimating no matter what point of the fight they were in would be deadly. This was only further reinforced as the woman shot two more thunderbolts at both her and Easter. Igniting his arms, Nine let loose a wave of fire towards the lightning, moving to the side as he did. The electric attack still manage to beat out his flames, but they had slowed enough to give Nine time enough to dodge. As the woman had seemed frustrated with their refusal to go down, Nine simply retorted, "I can't afford to die yet. I've still got way too much to do after dealing with you. How about you? Why aren't you dead yet?"

"You can't afford to die but I can't be killed. No one has been able to. Though they've tried. You won't be able to either."

Nine grimly looked at the woman, remembering how she spoke earlier and at what she had said now. "Do you wish to die?"

"Oh, I don't know." She said dreamily. "I can't imagine its all too restful where I'd go." She began to laugh manically.

Grinning, Nine looked to the woman saying, "well good. I'm not much in the killing business, but if all you want to do is rest." Nine ignited his arms with flames once again. "Well, even if it's only temporary, I'll put you to sleep. Prepare yourself for the best rest of your life, Ankou."

"Don't threaten me with a good time." She growled. Nine simply smirked as the woman brought her arms back up again. Charging both of her hands with elecrticity, she fired off yet another thunderbolt at Nine to which the Houndoom had responded to it in the same manner as last time. Bringing up his arms, Nine let loose a stream of flame to block the attack and began running forward and to the side to avoid the electricity. As he did so, Nine continued to rush forward, awaiting the woman's next attack.

Ankou's movements were beginning to lack the grace they had had before, and she seemed to be struggling sending out attack after attack due to the on-setting fatigue. As such, Nine was able to predict how she was going to attack, and thus countering it as he had done so before wasn't that big of a deal. The distance between them beginning to close, Nine's pace steadily slowed as he knew she would teleport if he got too close and if he simply dodged another attack she was likely to take evasive maneuvers as well. As such, Nine charged both of his arms with darkness as he continued to charge forward.

As Ankou fired off yet another bolt at him, Nine brought one of his hands using the dark pulse to soften the blow as his hand took the brunt of it. However, as he had done he had also let loose a dark pulse towards Ankou, catching the woman off guard. As the pulse hit the woman, she staggered back and though Nine's arm was searing in pain and locked in place, he didn't stop charging. Finally closing the gap between the two, Nine leaped towards the woman and with his body infused with darkness, kneed the Gardevoir in the gut. Having the wind knocked out of her, the woman stumbled even further back. Charging with green energy, there seemed to be some sort of start up delay before the woman finally managed to teleport away from the Houndoom. However, her reappearance was telegraphed and slow, making it quite easy for someone to follow up.

Ari was almost attacked, and he was sure, if the hit had connected, he would have been down for good. But it didn't happen, because Mac was there. The Litleo grinned at her. "Thanks, Mac. You...always come through. Always...liked that about you." He coughed out more blood before getting out of the way as the Godslayer and Jabari exchanged blows. When the dark blue-haired girl released an attack that looked similar to his giant fireball, Mac's giant lightning ball, or Kazo's giant meteor, except made of water, he was doubly glad that he had moved back. Getting hit by that would for sure knock him out. Thankfully, it wasn't targeted toward him, but toward the Godslayer, exploding in a shower of rainfall that caused the fire type to wince.

The girl collapsed immediately afterward. It was obvious that she had used her all in that attack. Which meant Ari couldn't fall behind either, running forward in another Return toward the Godslayer, yet again managing to hit him. Maybe he was too distracted by that previous attack? Still, as the Litleo fell back to avoid any retaliation, he couldn't help but feel that he was one step away from collapsing himself. In fact, he'd already done so a couple of times. So maybe it was more accurate to say that he was one step away from collapsing for good?

Easter listened to the other two banter with a grin. And when Ankou reappeared, he was ready. Moonblast ready. The attack was enough to make her stumble, throwing out a Thunderbolt that shot past him. Running up and kicking her in the side, he waited when she Teleported. Ears twitching, he turned around, slamming a Psyshock into the reappearing Gardevoir's side.

"It's time to end this," he muttered. "Any last words?"

Except instead of a reply, he got a Psyshock in return.

"Oh I see, I'm not good enough to talk to," he teased. "I'm sorry that I'm lacking in Nine's debonair charm. But I will say..." he winked. "I'm a lot cuter than him, at least." With that, he threw out a Swift. Though the attack didn't do much damage, that wasn't the point. While the Godslayer was busy taking the attack, he had run up and tackled her to the ground, a pink glowing ball forming in his hands.

The Gardevoir twitched before stilling, eyes widening when nothing happened.

"Oh, did your Teleports run out?" the Sylveon asked. "You were using that move quite a lot, so I'm not surprised. Guess this is the end of the line for you."

"It's not the end...It can't be. This isn't how it ends. Not here."

Easter's eyes softened for a second. "None of us are infallible," he murmured. "I'm much like you, unable to be put down no matter what others want. But even I have limits." His mouth set into a grim line. "And so do you." The next moment, the Moonblast exploded.

He had woken up. Or revived. Or something. He was pretty sure he had fallen unconscious, at least for a little bit, but he was awake now, the taste of Sitrus in his mouth.

"Are you awake?" a soft voice asked, and Keanu blinked at the sight of a familiar-looking Fletchling crouching next to his fallen form.

"Y-You're..." he croaked.

"That's good," she nodded. "Veronica has never been good at holding back. It's part of her charm," she smiled sadly.

Keanu just stared, breaking his gaze only to glance over at his pack, which had been opened, spilling out some of the berries he kept within.

"So...I know you've been out cold for a minute...but would you mind like, maybe I dunno...helping us knock your friend out?" a familiar voice caused Keanu to jerk slightly in surprise. Eh? This the same wahine as before? She sounded exhausted...which wasn't good. But she had at least lasted longer than him, so that was something. Keanu felt a little ashamed that he had gone down as easily as that. What good was he, or his evolution, if he couldn't even last one battle?

But he was never one to worry too much about things like that. He would just keep fighting, and keep his ohana safe.

The Fletchling stood up from her crouch then, and Keanu followed suit. Neither one of them were in one hundred percent shape, but that didn't matter.

"You!" Veronica hissed, stumbling forward. "You're even more of a pain than I thought! Can't even stay down long enough to keep out of the way," she coughed out blood then, the sight causing Keanu to wince.

But this was his time. While she was weak, and he was awake. The Raichu began to rush forward then, heart leaping into his throat. It was now or never.

And then the Fletchling held out a hand.

Seconds before he would've slammed into her outstretched arm, Keanu skidded to a stop. That was close. He had almost hit her. "Ey, why'd you stop me?!"

"Let me talk first..." she whispered, before raising her voice. "Veronica, please, don't do this."

The Godslayer stomped her foot. "Don't do what?! Don't smash these plebeians into the ground?! They asked for it! I won't let anybody get in the way of our goal."

"What goal?! To kill off the legendaries who keep Adarid running? Literal gods? Don't you see Veronica?! What you're doing is wrong!"

"No, it's not wrong. It's right. It's this world that's wrong."

The Fletchling shook her head. "Betty wouldn't have wanted this."

The Crobat narrowed her eyes. "Don't presume to know what she would or wouldn't want! You might be her little sister, Yuffie, but that doesn't mean that I'll let you put words in her mouth. After all," she coughed, "I'm doing this for her."

Keanu was confused. For her? Who was Betty, and what were these two even talking about? And why weren't they fighting? Then again, he wouldn't say no to a reprieve. He could see Taiga was also trying to get back her strength, and the Rotom had disappeared. As if reading his thoughts, the Godslayer turned to the rest of them, causing Keanu's heart to skip a beat. Out of fear, not attraction, though she had looked pretty fine at the start of this fight. Gods damn it, why are all the beauties here so fricking lolo?!

"You think these gods of yours are so great?" she sneered. "I thought so too. And then they took my best friend from me." She shook her head. "Elizabeth was so kind, the kindest gijinka I had ever met. And talented, unbelievably so. I was always competing against her, commoner though she was. It seemed as if she would burn brightly forever, but in the end..." she chuckled hollowly. "There was a rampaging legendary. Like a flash fire, the candle of her life was snuffed out, just like that," she clenched a fist, slamming it into the ground. "After all, what is the life of an ordinary gijinka to a god?"

"Veronica..." Yuffie murmured, taking a few steps closer to her.

"Gods, hah! Just what about them is godly?" the Crobat let out a bitter laugh that ended in another cough. "They're more like rabid beasts. And just like beasts, they need to be put down!" her eyes went dark. "And I'll put down anybody who stands in our way as well."

"No you won't," Keanu gritted out. "I know you were wronged, but that doesn't mean that all gods are like that." He remembered the Tapu, who had stayed behind to help fend off the beasts in Alola. Of Solgaleo and Lunala, who had sat in the boat with such sad looks in their eyes. Of Moltres, who had been almost killed by Allie. Sure, Yveltal had been about to kill them all for just being there when she woke up, but even she had let them go after they had given her a good pummeling. It wasn't as if legendaries were unreasonable beings. At least not the ones he had met. There were probably a few bad apples...or at least one anyway, but that didn't mean they needed to throw out the bunch of them. Or whatever analogy he was trying to make.

"And how can you guarantee that?!" Veronica shook her head. "No, I won't give them the chance to kill any more gijinka, and if you're going to stop me, then you're going down as well!" she shouted, flying into the air and starting to spin in a very familiar, and deadly dance.

"Stop, Veronica! You're in bad enough shape already! That move will kill you at this rate!"

"And so what?!" the Crobat screeched. "Even if I die, that just means I'll get to be reunited with...her. But if I can stop you three from continuing," she coughed out a splatter of blood as fire flickered around her form, remnants of the burn inflicted upon her, "then I'll have done my part to make this world...a better place."

Keanu couldn't put it off any longer. He had to fight. Even if that meant killing the gijinka in front of him. But he had been prepared for that since the start. Summoning up a wave of water, he rode it toward the Godslayer, crashing into her and forcing her to stop her spin. "This is over!" he shouted, ignoring the pain shooting across his form as she retaliated with Leech Life. Concentrating, her threw her into the wall with Psychic. "I don't know anything about shaping the world, but killing others isn't right either!"

He could tell that the move had had some effect. The Crobat stood still, panting in exhaustion and pain, eyes closed, immobile. And then she moved, firing out a Cross Poison at them, still attempting to fight, even in the condition she was in.

The Raichu stood still, glancing across the room toward the others. This needs to end.

Spoiler

Let's end this, guys!
