(o ×) 228 Posted July 15, 2022 This OP will be beautified later. Don't be surprised if you see a character not originally created by me, but rest assured I have received permission to adapt all involved characters as NPCs.
(o ×) 228 Posted July 15, 2022 DISTRICT 1 15: Gareth Apollo, the Fount of Brilliance Spoiler Amid the high towers of the first district is a man who calls himself a "Hero of Light". He is popular with crowds, especially young women, as he flies about the center of Megalopolis on a pair of golden wings helping whoever he encounters. Holy Sword Excalibur: Befitting his valiant persona, Gareth is the bearer of what is quite possibly the most legendary blade in history. The full extent of its abilities are unclear to the public, but it appears to grant flight, as well as enhancing his physical abilities. 33: Diana Seigi, the Fount of Sacrifice Spoiler While Gareth mostly sticks to the first district, Diana can be seen throughout Megalopolis. Her style of rescue is often considered particularly reckless, and she has a habit of leaving a wake of property damage behind her. Even so, it is hard to argue with the results. Unknown Pact: Though the terms of the pact she made with a kami are unclear, the results are self-evident. Her muscular output and physical durability is multiplied by a favor of about six, and her sprint speed is three times that of a normal Olympic athlete. 69: The Fount of Honor Spoiler Seldom seen in public, the Fount of Honor is the personal bodyguard for the Stratford Family, after making waves several years ago successfully apprehending the serial killer Fount of Bloodlust. Sacred Halberd Rhongomiant: A weapon of impeccable sharpness and durability, Rhongomiant follows the Fount of Honor's every command, even if they may defy the laws of physics and leave the polearm levitating in the air. The Vorpal Sword: Originally used by the Fount of Bloodlust, the Vorpal Sword is now in the possession of the Fount of Honor. The full abilities of this weapon are unclear, but based upon the disemboweled status of the Fount of Bloodlust's victims, it is at least sharp and durable enough to cleanly sever a neck. 99: Madeline Harper, the Fount of Bloodlust Spoiler (image depicts Madeline's appearance at the time of her apprehension in 2094, when she was 18) From the years 2093-2094, the Fount of Bloodlust wrought havoc upon the city of Megalopolis, murdering at least 23 founts brutally and mercilessly, before being captured alive in a joint effort between the founts of Honor and Evidence having been contained in maximum security since. It was said that she was compelled by the Go-shintai Tyrfing to kill, but it is unclear to this day how much of the violence was due to the sword's cursed influence and how much was of her own volition. During her rampage, Madeline was equipped with both the Vorpal Sword and the cursed blade Tyrfing. While the Vorpal Sword is now in the possession of the Fount of Honor, the location of Tyrfing is unknown to the public. 100: Richard Stratford, the Fount of Civilization Spoiler Stratford, now aged 43 years, took office as mayor of Megalopolis back in the year 2090. At that time he was happily married with a wife, as well as a 4-year old daughter, but his wife died in a tragic incident in ‘95, and his daughter has not been seen publicly since then, many assuming she was sent overseas for her safety. In the years following, he cracked down hard on fount-based crime, and managed to force most any criminal factions into hiding, drastically improving the safety within the city. By the year 2100, death rate is now only double that of the global average, a testament to his incredible sway of the city. Heart of Megalopolis: As a result of the collective belief in the control Stratford held upon the city, as well as his ability to quash any threat that may come, he has ascended to the incredible ability to control the city itself, from the building, to the street fixtures, to the vehicles. This power is on a scale unlike any the city has seen before, and his rampage brings untold destruction. 105: Nika Volkov, the Fount of Order Spoiler At 55 years old, Nika has acted as its chief of police for the entirety of Stratford's tenure as mayor, taking over from predecessors that she felt failed to due their duty. She is well known for her stern demeanor and candid statements, but she is still well liked by the populace as a whole, due to the supposed corruption in the ranks of the police force dropping under her supervision. It's also rumored that she has a kid, but there are no birth records to indicate such... Carbonic: Her ability is known to be touch based, causing things she touches to turn to some form of carbon, between graphite and diamond, or to revert it back. She can also use this to harden her own skin. 112: Adrian Edelbern, the Fount of Fate Spoiler Adrian, 45, is a former hero of Megalopolis known for acrobatics. She has been retired for just over 20 years, with her partner, a former fount, later getting involved in the city's politics. The two of them had a child together, and Adrian mostly got involved in organizing activist events, especially after Stratford took over. Crimson Spear Gáe Dearg: A divine weapon said to have been wielded by a god, it has the capacity to inflict wounds that do not heal. Some believe that it also grants her some form of predictive or instinctive ability, although it is not a known quantity of the spear. Others suspect that she may have an esper ability on top of her Go-Shintai.
(o ×) 228 Posted July 15, 2022 (edited) DISTRICT 2 30: Venus Dionaea, the Fount of Orchids Spoiler Venus is the caretaker of the groves of the second district, using her ability to foster life and bend it to the benefit of the city. While she is known to be kind and soft-spoken, she carries and intensity that leaves most who have met her in person uncomfortable. Nature Shamanism: Venus has a special connection with nature, allowing her to communicate mentally with plants, as well as control them and assist their growth. (o ×) 228 Posted July 15, 2022 (edited) DISTRICT 5 56: John Spencer, the Fount of Evidence Spoiler Hailed by many as the greatest private detective in the world, John Spencer runs a small agency with a single intern buried deep within Megalopolis's fifth district. While he doesn't reside in the headlines anymore, his name is still known as the one who was able to find a pattern in the Fount of Bloodlust's attacks, and predict her next appearance so as to allow for her capture. Unknown Ability: While the exact nature of John Spencer's fount ability is unknown, it is assumed by most that it assists in his investigations. 61: Charon, the Fount of Aphelion Spoiler More so than seemingly anything else in the fifth district, the Fount of Aphelion is ubiquitous. Though he only appears to be seen at night, he somehow manages to hold several, if not dozens of part-time jobs. It is unclear how he holds down so many responsibilities, and how a traveler could encounter him multiple times, in multiple places, in a single night, but he seems to be doing a slightly above average job of it. Unknown Ability: Some form of illusion? Super speed? Quantum superposition? It's unclear how Charon does what he does, but he sure does do it. (o ×) 228 Posted July 15, 2022 DISTRICT 6 11: Ayane Tohito, the Fount of Decibels Spoiler The only member of Megalopolitan idol group Omega Rhythm to play a musical instrument in every performance, Ayane Tohito is famous for her startlingly technical guitar solos that give her other two group members a chance to dance. While she generally receives less fan attention than the vocal-focused performers she works with, her fans are probably the most dedicated of all, earning her the title of 'Heavy Metal Heroine". Unknown Ability: While her ability is unknown to the public, Ayane has made remarks in interviews about her guitar being the axe of the Norse god Forseti. 21: Danny Hitchcock, the Fount of Spectacle Spoiler Danny is a world renowned filmmaker, very rarely found in his home district. He has received critical acclaim for how "real" the emotions and actions feel in his films, even from brand new actors that he scouts himself. He is also often viewed as charismatic by those who interview him, with nothing but favorable reviews and news coming out. Unknown Ability: Nothing is known about Danny's ability. 72: Genevieve "Genny" Mireille, the Fount of Muse Spoiler Genny is the premier idol in Megalopolis, with only her very own partner, Stella, coming close in terms of popularity. She is well known for her riveting performances, her slight french accent, and the lady-like air she keeps about her at all times. The fact that she also performs her own instrumentation for some songs also helps. On top of that, she is known for being exceptionally kind to low-income fans, often making sure there are multiple opportunities to see her shows for free. Unknown Ability: While it is confirmed she has an ability, she has never been known to use it. Some theories suggest that she became a Kannushi, similar to Stratford or Eos, but many shoot this down because love for an idol is far from the same as a form of faith. 113: Limstella "Stella" Dumitru, the Fount of Threnody Spoiler The other half of the vocalist duo with Genny, Stella is more known for her excitable, if not impish, nature. She's popular among people that prefer idols come across as "honest" or "natural", but it tends to be a vocal minority. There's an even smaller group of fans that prefer her more melancholic or dark sounding songs, as they feel she brings something special and heartfelt to the performance. Despite the differences in the three, Stella, Genny, and Ayane appear to the world as the best of friends. Unknown Ability: No info exists. The Kannushi theory floats about for her as well, but it has even fewer believers due to the discrepancy in popularity between Stella and Genny. (o ×) 228 Posted July 15, 2022 District 1019: Eos, the Fount of Radiance Spoiler Eos is the messianic figure and leader of the religious movement known as The Order of Hyperion. Hyperion believes that, as Japan was destroyed by natural disaster decades ago, the rest of the Earth is destined for destruction as well, by means of the sun itself. However, the order welcomes this prophetic destruction of the world, and when a child was born some thirty odd years ago at the apex of a solar eclipse directly above Megalopolis, they immediately began worshiping the child, grooming her as the Shinto Goddess Amaterasu incarnate, teaching her that it was he divine right to destroy the entire world some day.Sun Goddess: Though the extent of her ability is yet to be seen by the public, her ability appears to allow her to create celestial bodies out of thin air. They typically collapse within a few seconds, but even then they can be remarkably destructive. 93: Primrose Goitea, the Fount of Triskelion Spoiler Primrose is the leader of the group known as Triskelion, with around 1200 members. It is often referred to as a cult by other leaders in District 10. The basis of Triskelion is founded in a "prophetic vision" Primrose had about the world being remade by a grand spiraling energy. The basis of the Triskelion 'faith' is trying to improve the world as much as possible, so that when said vision comes true, the land is already tilled, so to speak. However, many of Primrose's followers simply see the chance to help people and to have a strong support network under her leadership, so it's unclear how many of them believe in what she saw or not. Primrose herself seems to take her beliefs as a creed more than an outright religion in the making, so it is not strange that many of her followers have a similar mindset. Witch of Lore: With the belief of her followers empowering her, she has command of fire, water, wind, and earth. However, her mastery of each is not as great as the more powerful figures in Megalopolis, so she instead puts her abilities towards helping with construction and rescue efforts. (o ×) 228 Posted July 15, 2022 District 12 52: Kagayaku Kagami, the Fount of Duality Spoiler かがやく かがみ 花芽役 鑑 Kagami is one of the most popular entertainers in Megalopolis, famous for her gremlin-like behavior and roasting her chat members on the regular. Playing games, going over recent events, sometimes even having cameos from other well known people in Megalopolis, anything and everything is what she wants to do. Her real appearance is unknown, and even her status as a resident of District 12 is speculation. Finally, she is often called a "psycho streamer", a term that seems to have been recycled from the far past. Unknown Ability: No information about her fount ability is available. However, she has an oddly high success rate of roasting people effectively, though it very rarely goes too far, so many chat members believe she can somehow know things about them. (o ×) 228 Posted July 15, 2022 (edited) District 13 40: Alice Solari, the Fount of Precipitation Spoiler Rumor has it that this girl in the 13th district consumed a local peaceful rain kami in a mad plea for power, disrupting the balance of nature for her own selfish pursuits. As a punishment, she has cursed the region with eternal rain. Despite this, the people of the thirteenth district see her as a sort of guardian, using the immense power she harnessed through her act of cruelty so rule over them silently, yet sternly.Overcast: Regardless of the truth regarding what is said about her, the effects are hard to deny. Alice Solari's ability causes constant rain clouds to hover above the district, and if she so chooses, she can further increase the intensity of the rain.
