Im guessing the Archtype is gonna revolve around summoning during your opponent turn since otherwise the attack and effect prevention will be useless most of the time. If you want to keep as it is you probably need to design members that can fuctional turn 1 because this alone is way too slow. The moment the token effect kick in you already outpaced by opponent advantage wise. While the stat gain effect is practically can goes as high as 4000+ if you can provide the token we rather use the tokens for further setup which either way, again, is slow

So either make this faster and/or having the support card does things on opponent turn. It should be solid that way

I had a feeling that was the case. Since it's a prototype monster, I knew from the start that it would need a lot of work. I haven't fully decided on what the Archetype can do. So far, the only thing that comes to mind are random effects. Any advice on that?

Anywho, Thanks for the feedback on the card. It's very helpful.

  2. Okay, this is my first custom card idea. It's more or less part of an archetype idea, but for this one, I'm trying to make its effect as self-contained as possible.

    Spoiler

    DracoKnight Crohn
    LV4, Dark
    ATK 1500/DEF 800
    DRAGON/EFFECT
    ● Once per turn, during your standby phase, Special Summon 1 "Crohn Token"  (Dragon-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position. These tokens cannot be used as Tribute for Tribute Summon.
    ● You can Tribute a "Crohn Tokens" to increase this monster's ATK by 500 until the end of your turn.

    Editor's Note:

This monster is a prototype for an fan-made Archetype I'm making called "DracoKnights". A series of Anthropomorphic Dragons that protect the floating land of Dragonia. Each DracoKnight is recruited for their own special quirk, such as being able to increase the strength of others or, in Crohn's case, create multiple clones of himself. Most of the DracoKnights resemble Western dragons while a few of them resemble Eastern dragons.

The reason for Crohn creating clones is because I imagine him being a ninja. His name is based on the Japanese word "Kurōn" which is a corruption of the word "Clone". Though, I'm beginning to think that not being attacked on the turn it was summoned might be pushing it.

What do you think? Critiques and advice are welcome!

  3. Thanks!

I tried registering over at YGOCM, but registration didn't seem to work. At least, not on my computer. Eventually, I found out about this place, and I think it's good enough for me. :classic_biggrin:

  4. Hiya, folks! Name's TCgamerboy2002, TC for short. I'm more into Yu-Gi-Oh! person than any other card game. I'm a gamer by trait, mostly console games, but I have dabbled into PC games on occasion. I've played Yu-Gi-Oh! log ago, but I stopped playing because the rules started getting complicated, what with the synchros and the xyz's, and whatnot. Recently, my bro started marathoning Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters on Netflix and I started getting re-interested in the games again, especially with monsters that are more suitable to me nowadays.

I'm more of an imagineer as I have so many ideas, may it be story or characters. So I figured maybe I should take a shot at this Card Maker to see what I can make with it. I might make an archetype of my own someday, but for now, I can only talk about ideas.

I really hope to have a good time here. ?
