  1. The fact it's right above the "submit topic / reply" button is really unintuitive. It's really easy for people like me who are in a hurry or not paying attention to accidentally post when they're trying to insert an image instead. In fact, I've already had three accidental posts on this forum, one of which was a thread. It could be I just haven't gotten used to it, but if it's possible I'd like to suggest moving it elsewhere, like to the left, or to just make an icon for it at the top of the post editor like YCM had.

    Spoiler

"Being outside is overrated. Why am I here again?"

    Name: Belladonna "Belle" Morgane
    Gender: Female
    Age: 17
    Hometown: Saffron City

    Appearance

    Image made by hishiuma
    Height: 5'0"
    Weight: 150 lbs
Since she has an appetite but doesn't like to go outside, Belle has gotten to be overweight for her size.

    Personality

    Spoiler

If there were a word for Belle, it'd be "sloth." Lazy, apathetic, and sedentary, she is a hedonist, only caring for indulging her whims, which include eating, sleeping, and surfing the internet. She is the kind of person who will spend hours wrapped up in a blanket watching Slowpoke videos while eating potato chips. Belle prides herself on having eaten every kind of potato chip in the world. She also prides herself on knowing useless facts gained from the internet, such as "Zubat always turn left when exiting a cave," or "Everybody has a unique tongue print."

Belle despises normal outdoor things like bright sunlight and talking to people. She will often shout "The light burns! Make it go away!" when the sun is out, and hiss when people get too close to her. She has absolutely no interest in dealing with people and would prefer to remain an outcast shut-in for the rest of her life, thank you very much. However, she is secretly curious about the world and the people in it, she just wishes she could experience it from her bed.

More intelligent than many give her credit for, she oftentimes doesn't showcase that intelligence except when solving puzzles "because I'm an expert at video games." While she is fine using her abilities when by herself or around family members, she is uncomfortable using them around people she doesn't trust, as she doesn't want to deal with the inevitable hassle of explaining herself and being treated differently from then on.

    Biography

    Spoiler

Belle was born to a family of infamous psychics in Saffron City, most notably her older cousin, Sabrina, who was both admired and feared not only for her psychic genius, but for her battling prowess. As a child, Belle was shunned by the other children, fearful that she would become just like her cousin. Partially as a reaction, partially out of laziness, Belle lost any and all desire to hone her psychic powers aside from the bare minimum: telekinesis. With her powers, she could lift a can of soda less than a foot from her and guide it to her mouth, all without moving a limb. This ultimately led to her current condition of hating to move at all, and letting her powers do the work for her. Unfortunately, she cannot move human or even Pokémon-sized objects, as she's discovering to her detriment now that she actually has to walk around herself.

Hurt and angry by how people treated her, Belle vowed to become a shut-in. She sequestered herself away in her room, much to the dismay of her parents, with only books, games, and a computer for company. Eventually, she became addicted to that lifestyle, inadvertently learning about Pokémon along the way as she played video game after video game. She especially became fascinated by Slowpoke after watching a music video on them, and declared them her spirit Pokémon.

When Belle turned sixteen, her parents, fed up, decided to kick her out of the house so that she could become "at least somewhat normal." Lost and confused, she went to her cousin, who took her in for a time. There, she would do odd jobs like clean up the Saffron Gym. After inadvertently wrecking the place for the tenth time, Sabrina then informed her about this amazing contest going on where all you had to do was sign your name to enter. And the prize was money beyond imagining. Taken in by the idea of having enough money to go back to her old lifestyle, Belle signed the contract, was promptly teleported to a strange port, and dumped there. "You can't back out now," Sabrina cackled as she left, muttering, "Finally, I'll be able to clean up my Gym now. I can't believe she managed to spill acid on the warp tiles. Really, does she not know the difference between bleach and hydrochloric?"

Without any choice in the matter, Belle was forced to accept a Pokémon and start the journey. As an excitable girl nearby chose a fire rabbit, she was left to decide between a grass cow and a water bear. Eventually choosing the grass cow because it looked "easy to raise," she boarded the boat, dreading the upcoming year, or however long this would take, with all her heart.

Just gotta work at it. Once I evolve, ain't none of you gonna be laughing anymore, just you watch. You think I'm lying? I do a lotta things, but I don't lie. I may not be big, but I have an ego and a will to work the size of a Wailord, so I just know I'll be the last one laughing in the end.

What else you wanna know? Already told ya my dream, gonna be the best. I like it when people laugh, just not at me. Life, well, you gotta take it in, in all its ups and downs. If you gotta choose between laughing and crying, or laughing and being angry, I'd say laughter is the way to go. Unless you make fun of me. Then all bets are off. What else? I don't need to tell you anymore, right? You're satisfied, right? Well, sometimes, I wish I were born differently. Yeah, I know, who'da thought? But no, seriously, I feel like, I might not have been dealt the best hand in life. But I guess if wishes were fishes we'd all be dishes. Or however that phrase goes. I don't know. Do I look like a nerd to you?

    Human Biography

    Spoiler

As my brother is unable to answer this, I shall endeavor to do so in his absence.

You see, the two of us were born in Konikoni City. He the older sibling, and I the younger. You could say we were inseparable, but that was a lie. It was more me, tagging after him all the time. I had a hard time making friends, but he never seemed to have that problem. Everybody loved him for his foolhardy courage and for never leaving any of us out. He never hesitated to stick up for us, and for that, we would follow him anywhere. Adults hated him though, which I could never understand. Even my parents told me that I needed to separate from him, that he was a bad influence. And then the next thing I knew, he was saying, "I don't need you followin' behind me like a fool, okay? S'not cool to have a crybaby like you dogging me."

Before I knew it, we got older, and started joining different crowds. I ended up helping people and Pokémon in need, and joined the Aether Foundation. Meanwhile, my brother...well, to put it mildly, he got into fights, haggled with merchants, started to steal, and ultimately joined Team Skull. And I only knew that because he shouted that right before he stomped out the door after one last fight with our parents. That we probably wouldn't ever see each other again.

    Except that was a lie.

It was while I was visiting the Volcano Park for field research. I got lost, and stumbled upon the totem Pokémon, Salazzle. I thought I was done for, but my brother appeared in front of me and told me to run for it. I'll never forget the sight of his back, turned to me, so skinny, but so strong at the same time, and crisscrossed with scars that even his tank top couldn't completely cover.

That was the last time I saw him.

It was only later I found out from my parents that he'd started stealing to help pay for bills, that he'd been the one to provide the money for my entrance into the Aether Foundation. In the end, he was always looking out for me, protecting me, and I, and I...

I'm sorry, I don't think I can continue. Just, if you see him and he's still alive...tell him I'm sorry for saying he was a failure. That's a lie. I was angry, bitter that he left me behind like he did. I wasn't thinking, I just wanted to see him hurt, like I was hurting.

No matter what, he has been and always will be, the best person I've ever known, and my older brother.

    Core Memory

    Spoiler

It's kinda fuzzy, but I remember standing in front of a giant lizard thing. It was huge, and looked like it was about ta eat me. Mainly I remember holding my arms out, like that woulda done anything 'gainst something that huge. I dunno, don't ask me what I was thinking then. Probably crazy in the head, I was. Except there was a reason for it. I think. Maybe. I just knew I wasn't budging from that spot. Woulda taken an act of a legendary to get me to move, and even then, I doubt that woulda done it.

There was somebody else with me, too. They were like half my size, and standing in front of me. Except I pushed 'em away. "What, you think yer some big hero?" I asked. "Yer nothing but a rat, like me. Go on, get outta here. I don't need you mucking things up even more." And that's all I remember. Yeah I know, it's stupid. Probably not even a real memory, just some weird-ass dream. Never said it was interesting. Yer own fault for buggin' me about it.

    <OOC>

Excerpt from Chapter 1: Shaky Beginnings

    Date: August 23rd, Year 556
    Time: 9:00 AM (Terce)
    Location: Castle Augusta, Galtea

    BGM

To Your Royal Majesty King Reginald of Galtea, Head of House Nabudis, Archduke of Augusta, and my Honored Father,

I hope this letter finds you well. I regret to inform you that, while I am alive and unharmed, I bear grave news. Despite what you may have heard, I was kidnapped by goddess sympathizers and barely escaped. I will not mince words. They took me to a church within Pontus, and used my blood in a dark ritual to revive the goddess. Unfortunately, they succeeded. Fortunately, they didn't succeed in full, though even partially revived, She is a force to be reckoned with.

My apologies, father, but I cannot return just yet. Although Pontus may have been the ultimate cause of my kidnapping, the ones who did so were citizens of Galtea. The Pontics have been desperately searching for me, and I fear, if I return to the capital, I would be walking into a trap...

I will set out for Sochen within the day, where I hope to find sanctuary far from Pontus's borders while I determine my next course.

Written at Castle Balfon on the twenty-first day of the month of August, in the year of our hero-king, five hundred and fifty-six.

    Per your daughter,

Catriona of House Nabudis, Heir Apparent

    9RkO3zy.png

An intake of breath, and the letter found itself crumpled within a mailed fist. The owner, a white-haired man in ermine robes, breathed out through his nose. "Really..." he muttered. "That girl...does she have no sense of self-preservation? Still...to think they would be so bold as to pull this..." He paced his chambers, brow furrowed. "They've gone too far this time...not just the snakes from within, but Pontus as well."

He strode from the room, cape billowing behind him. "Looks like they all need a reminder on how I earned my title." The Winter King. Tempered in governance, but forged in battle.

Since then, Catriona and company faced many challenges in their journey. Their goal was to find the Great Dragon, who would hopefully be able to assist in defeating the goddess or sealing her away. The initial group composed of Catriona, Malu'kai, Anaïs, Meifing, a small town fighter named Alois, Catriona's sister Penelope, her knight Gunther, Feray, and a wandering swordsman named Asura came across a blacksmith named Jake being accosted by bandits. They defeated them with the help of a young man who looked fresh from the farm, a Pontic named Edrick. Unfortunately, Anaïs had to leave soon afterward, and Edrick was heavily injured.

The group accompanied Jake to Ithome, Sector Three. Along the way, Feray left the group, but they met a girl named Tarizo, who joined temporarily. In Ithome, Meifing left the group, but they came across Link, a former Galtean soldier, now a library guard. He led them to the city hall, where they were turned away by Councilman Silas. Meanwhile, Edrick, who had just finished recovering from his wounds, was ambushed by street urchins, only being saved by the timely arrival of the rest of the group and a noble in disguise named Ciela. The group set out not long afterward and met Sienna, a girl wearing a hood to disguise the fox ears atop her head.

Joined by Sienna, the group reached Sector One, where most of them decided to head for the library to research information on the Great Dragon's whereabouts. Ciela, on the other hand, decided to go shopping, but an altercation with a rogue left her paralyzed from the waist down. Meanwhile, in the library, Sienna discovered a secret passage, but at the bottom, a scene straight out of a murder mystery awaited them. Not long after, the group was arrested and taken to the City Hall where they were interrogated by the Three Councilmen. They spent another day in the city, but soon had to leave, laden with presents from a mysterious man named Santa. Asura left them at the gate.

Headed to the Pelinna region, the group encountered yet more bandits, a shaman named Azar, a wolf cub named Rohns who began to follow Link around, and the Pelinna Patrol, a group of volunteers who patrolled the region to keep it free of bandits. Among them was a young bow thief named Tsetseg. The group was soon divided after being ambushed by fox Proteans who thought them to be kidnapping Sienna, who as it turned out, was the chieftain's daughter. While some were taken away by the foxes, the rest joined forces with the frog Proteans, including a frog of little words named Shiro, and the patrol. The two sides were on high alert ever since one of the frogs was murdered, and the fox tribe's treasure was stolen. The frogs marched on the fox village, where it looked as if a fight would break out, especially seeing as the fox chieftain looked to be under a spell of sorts, save for the timely arrival of a horde of bandits. Joining forces, with foxes, frogs, and humans all working together, the group managed to defeat them. The next day, Azar left, but the group was joined by a pegasus knight named Adelaide, who, unbeknownst to them, was actually a former cavalier named Adelheid, who had served on both sides of the Great War. Licorice, a black fox with hidden motives, joined as well.

After leaving the forest, the group came across an abandoned shrine to the goddess, a church that was little more than a single tower and an altar, with broken-down walls surrounding it. It seemed harmless enough, but when night fell, a horde of what Licorice called "Awakened" attacked them. However, yet more Awakened arose to help them, their eyes a brilliant white rather than blood red. A woman astride a horse calling herself L'Arachel also came to their aid. The battle was long and arduous, but at long last, the group stood triumphant.

    Chapter 5: Creeping Darkness (continued)

Date: 8th of Ramesoth, Year 556
    Time: 3:00 AM (Lauds)
    Location: Abandoned Shrine, Histia

    BGM

Catriona breathed a sigh of relief, rubbing her head and wincing when her hand came away wet with blood. A horde of undead...just what she had wished to wake up to. Still, every one of them was alive, and that was an outcome she hadn't dared hope for, not with just how many undead there were. More than she could count even were she given minutes on end. She would call it a miracle that they were still alive and whole, but she knew the real reason, and it was not something as unreliable as that.

Their Awakened allies, and the strange girl astride the horse...L'Arachel, she had called herself. Not to mention the undead villagers that had risen from the ground as soon as the enemy Awakened had gone south, and into the graveyard. The dead did not like being disturbed. Though unskilled in battle, and equipped with nothing but farming tools, they were brave. Yet now, as the last of the Awakened had finally fallen--one that had seemed a little smarter, a little stronger, but in the end just as susceptible to getting stabbed--they started to crawl back to the graveyard, the white light that had shone from their eyes flickering like a dying candle. Even the pegasus that Edrick had ridden faded away, its purpose served.

One, an elderly-looking Awakened, stopped in front of her. "Many thanks," he rasped. "This place...has always been our home, and always will be. No matter what...outsiders do." His mouth turned down into a frown. "Once...we were a village. Built around this church." He waved a hand. "Now...this is all that's left. The rest...burned to ashes. Please..." he said, grasping hold of Catriona's hands. His own were cold. "Please...find the priest. It is because of the priest...Father..." he coughed. "We are ourselves. Not slaves, hearts warped by Her rage." He released her hands, but a small bullion remained. "The last...of my savings. Hid it...from the soldiers..." He hobbled to one of the graves, one that looked a little nicer than the others, and like the rest, closed his eyes and sank into the ground.

Now all that remained were the original five.

Save for Dua, who was currently preoccupied in healing the group alongside Ciela and L'Arachel, the allied Awakened were not doing much of anything, as if they were waiting. Waiting to die once more? What a morbid thought. And yet, such thoughts had kept her company for nights on end now. She turned her gaze to where Licorice stood nearby, nearly untouched. It seemed almost unreal that such a person could stand there so calmly, as if she hadn't just shown off a near inhuman speed in the battle prior. But then, perhaps that was the point. She wasn't human.

A sudden soothing feeling shook Catriona from her musings. Turning, she gave her thanks to the white-eyed priest above her, who nodded at her and moved on. While she would feel dizzy for a while from blood loss, the feeling would eventually go away. The woman stood, marching to the northern exit of the shrine, where the bodies of the enemy Awakened were long since gone, dissolved into wisps of red smoke. Shivering, she turned back, and stopped, seeing a glowing figure above the altar.

"What mad--?!" but before she could finish, the glowing died down, showing the figure to be transparent. The woman took a few steps back automatically, before gritting her teeth and stepping forward.

The allied Awakening all let out gasps of shock, Unil most of all. He stepped forward, a look of pure, heartbreaking longing on his face. "Father?" he whispered.

    BGM

The figure, who on closer inspection looked to be an older man in the raiments of a priest, gave a sad smile. "Yes," he replied. "It is me, my son," he looked at the rest of the Awakened, shaking his head. "Stubborn as always. Even now, you refuse to leave."

To Catriona's surprise, every single Awakened started to tear up, a couple even breaking down into sobs. Whoever this man was, he was important to them.

"Thank you," the man said, turning his solemn gaze to the group. "The invaders likely arrived because of you, but even so, you defended this place, and soothed the restless spirits that lingered." He paused. "The path you walk is a hard one, but it is not impossible." His smile turned wry. "Though it seems odd coming from a man of the cloth, I give you my blessing. Perhaps you might be able to return things to how they once were."

"Then," the lord leaned forward, unease temporarily buried. "Do you have anything to advise? Know you where the Great Dragon lies?"

The man shook his head. "I have no such knowledge, yet I can offer you a different kind of aid." He paused. "It is only due to my strong attachment to this place, and the goddess's power, that I am here, but as the abbot, I have a responsibility to all who come seeking succor." He bowed his head and closed his eyes, muttering a prayer in what Edrick would recognize to be Pontic, though of an archaic variant. Soon after, the altar glowed with a brilliant white light. "A long, long time ago, this place was known as Alltrades Abbey. People would come from far and wide to embark on new beginnings, leaving their pasts behind." He lifted his head to stare straight at the group. "I am Abbot Jack, the last of a long line of abbots blessed with the power to change the path one walks, even their very fates." His eyes seemed to pierce through every single person there. "But be warned, not all change is for the better. Those who seek improvement in one area will inevitably lose strength in another. We were not made perfect beings, though we may strive for it." He started to speak again, though this time his voice changed from a feathery whisper to a commanding boom. "Now. You who seek to change yourself, step forward."

Catriona hesitated. This was her chance. The chance to change her cursed fate. Were she to step forward, perhaps she could even cast off the yoke of royalty, and live her life as a simple woman, free of the worries that plagued her. Yet, no. She shook her head. Were she to do so, then it would not relieve the pressure, only transfer it. To her sister. And that, she could not let happen. And what of their quest? The goddess was still out there, tonight was proof of that. She would not give up so easily, so neither would Catriona.

No, she could not afford to cast aside her class. A lord she was, to her very bones, and that would never change.

But as for the others...that was a different matter. She had no control over their decisions.

    Spoiler

A new forum, and a new beginning! Did a bit of a time skip since most of you voted for that, and we find out just what we missed. More Awakened came to help the group, though weak, and the rest of the horde was taken down, including a slightly stronger Awakened. Now, we find out that the shrine used to be called Alltrades Abbey. Abbot Jack, the ghostly figure floating above the altar, is here to introduce a very important new mechanic for this RP.

Class changing! Along with stat changing.

That's right, folks. Now, you can change your class and/or stats to something else. You cannot promote, but you can change classes laterally, for instance, from a barbarian to a mage. However, you can only choose from the base classes available here. You can also tweak your stats if you are unhappy with them. Like if you gave yourself too much Strength and not enough Magic. You must still have the same base stat total that you started with, save for Catriona, Penelope, Alois, and Link, who can increase their total to 34 if they want. Everybody else is already at 34 or above.

"One day I'll be as wise as my father, as kind as Kazo, and as brave as Mac. For now though, I'm just me. Ari."

    Name: Ari
    Species: Litleo
    Gender: Male
    Age: 13
    Favored Legend: Entei

    Appearance

    Spoiler

    vJLlaRv.png
    Height: 4'10"
    Weight: 110 lbs

    Personality

    Spoiler

Excitable and playful, Ari hasn't experienced much hardship in life. He sees the world through rose-colored glasses, and believes that everybody is good at heart. A bit mischievous, but never malicious, Ari finds it hard to comprehend the harsher sides of life, and why others are cruel when they can be kind instead. He's slightly arrogant and a show-off, but those aspects of himself stem from insecurity and constant comparisons with his father. He's very adventurous, and will take advantage of any opportunities to go questing and exploring.

His two years on the road have not done much to mature him, but he has learned some tact and humility. Before, he was used to being waited on hand and foot, but now, he's discovered that being a commoner is hard. He has to dress himself, and pay others to obtain necessities like food and drink. Nobody cares if he has something to say, so he has to make sure that his words are worth listening to. And, most astonishingly to him, he's learned that non-lions are just as good as lions.

Ari has matured a lot since the start of his journey. Witnessing the death of multiple legendaries and dreaming of his father and knowing he was dead was enough to send him into shock. He has since recovered, but along the way he has gained a determination that he previously lacked. Still, he will revert to his previously insecure self if placed under enough pressure. He looks up to Kazo as an older brother figure and sees Mac as an annoying sister-figure. He also misses Kah, but knows in his heart of hearts that she will never return.

    Biography

    Spoiler

Ari was born Prince Ariel, the only child of King Richard the Lionheart and Queen Leah the Radiant from Pride Rock. However, he chafed under the pressures of royalty, especially having to listen to the majordomo Zago all the time. Because of this, he and his best friend Tiana, a fellow Litleo, often rebelled against the rules. Eventually, his Luxray uncle, Prince James the Crafty, encouraged him to leave Pride Rock and prove himself a brave lion like his father, to become a Chaser.

Ari had heard about the ascension myth from his uncle. If he could beat one of those legendary Pokémon, then he could prove his worth and courage for sure. He'd come home a hero! His parents would admit that he was a brave and strong son! His uncle would dote on him and he would never have to listen to Zago's stupid rules ever again! Ari favors defeating Entei, known as the lion of lions, but truthfully, any other legend would do just fine.

Eating up his uncle's words, Ariel left at age ten, throwing away his full name as he no longer considers himself a prince, but a journeyman traveler on the road to improve himself.

    Name: Easter
    Species: Sylveon
    Gender: Male
    Age: 24
    Favored Legend: Rayquaza

    Appearance

    Spoiler

    Lw2TtkY.png
    Height: 4'10"
    Weight: 95 lbs
Easter's ribbons are actually feelers that are part of his body. He wears whatever feels comfortable, which more often than not is girl clothes, so he's often mistaken for a girl. His high-pitched voice doesn't help. He decided to roll with it, and bought a special brassiere that adds to the illusion.

    Personality

    Spoiler

Easter is unfailingly polite, a gentleman to the highest degree. Despite his looks, he has the poise of a butler, and the charm of a fairy type. To most people, he is kind and cordial, and has a weak spot for those with low self-esteem. He likes to encourage them and watch them grow stronger, taking pride in their progress. However, around dark or dragon types, a switch is flipped. His natural arrogance grows almost unbearable, and he does everything he can to destroy what he calls "overinflated egos." While normally calm, he becomes excited during these beatdowns and thus came his discovery.

Easter is a sadist. He takes pleasure in inflicting pain on others, but most especially dark or dragon types, as his attacks seem to not only inflict more pain on them, but he also finds their overblown pride annoying. While hypocritical of him, he considers his pride rightfully gained, both from his abilities and efforts to improve himself from his days of being "blind and ignorant." To a lesser extent, he takes pleasure from deceiving others, and will let others think of him as a girl instead of a boy without ever correcting them.

Since the start of the journey, he has changed a lot. While normally fickle and prone to wanderlust, he has matured greatly, taking on a sense of responsibility and looking out for the children in the group. He has grown to admire Brooke's sense of ethics, respect Denku as a staunch ally, and care for Dora despite, or because of her silliness. While he would not normally admit such things, he would not leave any of them unless forced to...and that in itself is telling.

    Biography

    Spoiler

Easter was born in Northshore as the son of an Eeveelution pair. His father was an Espeon and his mother was a Flareon. When he was born, he was doted on for his genius. It seemed that there was nothing he couldn't do--cooking, mathematics, music, nothing. He had free reign in his parents' vast library, which is where he discovered the existence of the legendaries. Things came to a head at age ten when the public found out about his preference for wearing female clothing. His parents, who had been hoping he'd "grow out" of that, "encouraged" (i.e. forced) him to leave Northshore to "find himself."

Rather than stew in anger, Easter shrugged it off and decided that if they didn't want to accept him, then too bad. He had better things to do than strive to please others or fit within their small-minded notions of propriety. Instead, he explored the world, and discovered he was nothing more than a big fish in a small pond. Determined to become a big fish in a big pond, he trained himself to become strong, mainly so that he could separate himself from his past overconfidence. Because of that, he looks down on those who think themselves invincible like he once did, and noted it was dragons and dark types that seemed to do it the most. Thus started his habit of beating down on those types whenever he can. Because of this, Easter seeks to bring down the ultimate dragon, Rayquaza. However, if he hears of another legend exhibiting overweening pride, he won't hesitate to change targets.

Easter has lived an eventful life that his appearance belies. Way back when, he entered Adarid, and trained himself in its arena, facing off against their champion multiple times. Though he never won, he considers those battles some of the best he's ever had. When he first learned about Chasers, he decided he set out as one, unable to stop the urge to travel once more. Still, he considers Adarid a home away from home.

On his journey, he was invited to join the S.S. Showdown crew, formed entirely of Eeveelutions, and he did. His life as a pirate was an enjoyable, though temporary one. However, he learned more about the legendaries while on the ship than he ever had before in his life, including when he was a child. Since it turned out that his captain knew quite a bit about them, especially Rayquaza, which influenced Easter's decision to go after it. Eventually, when calamity passed, he broke apart with the rest of the crew, and they all went their separate ways.

    Moves

    Spoiler
    • Wish - Passed down as the signature move of his family. Easter closes his eyes and sends a silent wish to the stars. After some time has passed, his body will glow with green light to show that the cosmos has heard his prayer and his injuries will either be partly or fully healed, depending on their intensity.
    • Swift - Gathering the energy of the stars, Easter shoots them as rays that hit all targets. Because of the cosmic nature of the attack, it is almost impossible to avoid. Cannot be used over a prolonged period of time.
    • Moonblast - Borrowing the power of the moon, Easter releases a blast of cosmic energy. This has a 30% chance of lowering an opponent's mental determination, causing special attacks to weaken.
    • Psyshock - Easter materializes an odd psychic wave which attacks the target. Has a greater effect on those who are physically weaker as opposed to mentally weaker unlike his other moves.
    • Last Resort - After having used each one of his other moves, drawing on external powers, Easter finally gathers the power within himself to charge at his opponent, dealing massive physical damage.
    • Cosmic Shield - Gathering the power of the cosmos, Easter is impervious to attacks for a short period of time. Any Pokémon that makes contact with the glowing pink barrier becomes confused and "sees stars." However, he cannot use it more than once every five minutes without the shield failing on him.

Because all of his moves require reliance, either on the cosmic forces or the power of a TM, Easter is reminded of his bodily limits every time he attacks. Thus, he experiences a conflict of self whenever he fights, as a part of him hates dependence, but another part of him enjoys the power that sings through his veins and the pain he inflicts on others.

    Name: Keanu
    Species: Pikachu Alolan Raichu
    Gender: Male
    Age: 20
    Birthday: June 12th
    Favored Legend: Manaphy

    Appearance

    Spoiler

    I22NS3j.jpg
    Old Appearance
    Height: 5'10"
    Weight: 150 lbs
He has a second pair of ears and a tail. His cheeks are abnormally sensitive and blush easily. Touching them sometimes causes a little static shock. One thing that sets him apart from mainland Pikachu gijinka are his blue eyes, which are common to Pikachu gijinka in Alola as their minds mature. Tends to wear bandages as he gets injured often.

His Substitute forms a doll that looks exactly like that strange creature next to him.

    Personality

    Spoiler

Keanu is what one might call an optimist. He seems unfazed by most of what life throws at him. He's what one would call "chill" and his temper is virtually nonexistent. While he seems to take life's punches with good humor, he's so relaxed that he would let somebody steamroll him if it meant less work for him. However, he is not particularly generous, only giving people what he feels that they deserve. He is very much an adherent to the concept of reaping what you sow. Because of this he can come off as cold when appealed to for help, however if he feels that a person is deserving of help, then he will give them exactly what they deserve, no more and no less.

Despite his laid-back attitude, Keanu is actually very intelligent. Getting him to actually use his intelligence, well. That's another story. He'd much rather just sit back and let other people do the thinking, make all the hard decisions. Him? He'll uhh, just sit back and eat pancakes. In fact, Keanu is a veritable Slowpoke when nothing is going on. Poky, he takes his time getting places and doing things. However, once he starts actually moving, whether it be surfing or in battle, he explodes into motion, showing most people the speed of a Pikachu gijinka. However, he goes back to being his old, slow self as soon as the necessity of moving around stops. He also has good instincts, stepping out of the way just as somebody is about to trip him, or skipping over a pothole. Or good luck. Either way, it's served him well in life.

Laziness aside, Keanu seems to take a fierce joy in movement, of surfing, of flying through the water. Of battling, of zipping around opponents, of experiencing the complete thrill that is motion. He loses himself utterly to the euphoria, and always seems disappointed when it ends. If it were up to Keanu, it would never end. He would surf, he would fly, he would soar, until his body gives out. Because of that, he has built up quite an endurance, and aside from his speed and quick mind, that is probably his best asset. However, he has a hard time understanding his limits, and can often push himself past what his body can handle.

Since fleeing Alola, Keanu has changed a little bit, even if he doesn't feel he has. He has grown less lazy, and more motivated, despite his complaints. He has also grown fond of Randy and Marie.

    Spoiler

Keanu lets people make decisions because the last time he made one, to escape, he regretted it.

One of Keanu's biggest problems is escapism. He loves to be in motion, to experience movement, the high of working out, of surfing, of flying through the water. He would never admit it, but for him, if he keeps moving, he'll leave his problems behind him. If he stops, even for one second, then they'll float forward like seaweed, catching his arms and legs till he can't move anymore, only drown.

    Biography

    Spoiler

Keanu was born to a rather normal family in Alola. He doesn't talk about them much, but they were very happy together. His parents took care of the entire family while he tried to take care of his little brother. They lived on the beach, next to the ocean. An early riser, Keanu liked to wake up in the morning and watch the sun slowly climb its way over the horizon. Soon afterward, he would grab his favorite surfboard and run across the sandy shore, hopping over crabs and pointed shells, before finally hitting the water. There, he would lie stomach-down on the surfboard, and paddle his way to the waves, before standing up and riding them, turning his board sideways till there was nothing but him and the wave, the crest furling over him, flying through a tunnel of water.

Every morning was like that. The family would joke that he was born with a water type soul in an electric type body, that he'd probably evolve into a Lapraschu. Surfing was his passion, and what he saw as his destiny. He went on like this for quite a while, doing many things in the pursuit of his dream. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation--I mean, Beasts attacked. During the chaos, he met an injured Solgaleo and Lunala, as well as the other members of the group, as they were fleeing the region. While on the ship, the two legendaries disappeared without a word. Keanu still isn't sure why they disappeared, but he's decided to just do his best with what he has.

    Spoiler

Keanu was born to a Raichu mother and a Lapras father. From his mother, he inherited his appearance. From his father, he inherited the ability to surf the waves in a way most Pikachu could only dream of doing. Included in the family was a little brother, a Lapras named Kai who dreamed of being a super famous, super strong gijinka that could take on the legends.

Keanu was an expert surfer, people would say. However, they also told him about a great surfer, named Puka. Puka, who could surf the waves without even needing a surfboard, could call them up without a thought. While Keanu had a certain amount of ability due to his father, to refine it, he needed to find an expert. He needed to find Puka.

So, at ten years old, Keanu set out to find Puka. He came back ten years later, highly satisfied with himself, eager to hear the welcoming cries of his family. However, his home city had been attacked, and his family had decided to fight against the beasts who had invaded Alola. Rather than stay and fight alongside them, Keanu decided to run away, and that decision haunts him to this day. Even now, he is fleeing, from all responsibility, from the guilt of leaving his family behind to die while he lived.

Static - Anybody who comes into contact with Keanu, especially his cheeks, has a thirty percent chance of being paralyzed.

    Moves

    Spoiler

Surf - Pikachu generally do not learn Surf, but somehow Keanu inherited this move from his dad. He does not need a surfboard to perform this move, able to just "ride the wave." He has used a surfboard in the past, however. Aside from him, there has only ever been one gijinka in the Pikachu line known to be able to use this move.
Psychic - This attack deals psychic damage and has a slight chance of lowering the enemy's special attack in the process.
Electro Ball - This attack forms ball lightning that Keanu throws at enemies. The faster Keanu is compared to his opponent, the more powerful this move.
Thunder Wave - Sparks of electricity shoot out from Keanu's cheeks to form electric waves that paralyze the opponent.
Substitute - A move Keanu learned from a gijinka he met in Alola. Using twenty-five percent of his maximum HP, Keanu forms a small doll in the shape of a strange, pointy-eared creature, and quickly trades places with it. Attention-grabbing, any attacks originally directed toward him target the doll instead.
Stoked Sparksurfer - A more powerful Thunderbolt where Keanu attacks the target with full force, leaving it paralyzed.

Nasty Plot - Keanu learned Nasty Plot as a Pichu, and kept the move as he evolved. Focusing on dark thoughts, he increases his special attack sharply.
Charged Currentcruiser - The surrounding terrain becomes electrified and Keanu charges up a lightning strike with the power of a Thunderbolt.

    • Frying pan - uses this to make pancakes.
    • Bag of flour - uses this to make pancakes.
    • Bottle of Pamtre berry syrup - uses this to pour over the pancakes he eats.
    • Water Gem

  6. The Cursed Princess

    Spoiler

    aGKuHBJ.png

"I have to stop the goddess. Not for myself, but for the world."

    Identity Information
    Name: Catriona Nabudis
    Age: 21 (Birthday: August 17th)
    Gender: Female
    Birthplace: Augusta, Galtea
    Appearance

    Spoiler

    pliQ8v8.png

    HT: 166 cm (5'5")   WT: 60 kg (132 lbs)
While not being particularly tall, Catriona isn't particularly short either. Her weight is around average for her height, though most of it is in muscle. White-haired with a touch of lavender, she has some of it in two braids to make it easier to handle. Her eyes are a deep blue, but they have no expression, therefore appearing flat and cold. Her clothes are form-fitting for ease of movement and airy to release excess heat. She wears a cape to keep warm on chilly days, though it seems to billow on its own for some reason, making it rather useless for its function. For armor, she wears a gorget to protect her neck, a pair of vambraces to protect her forearms, faulds to protect her hips, and greaves to protect her shins. She also wears gloves, though she keeps the forefinger and middle finger uncovered for dexterity purposes.

    Personality

    Spoiler

At first glance, you would think Catriona a cool-headed individual, the perfect stoic warrior. Underneath, however, her emotions run deep. She has always felt more strongly, more profoundly, than most people, but instead of lamenting her sensitivity, she has embraced it, using her grief as a motivator to keep moving. She believes that personal experience is the best teacher, and thus may let others experience unnecessary pain for the sake of learning. This has affected her relationship with her younger sister Penelope.

Catriona sees challenges as foes to be fought, and will gladly confront them head on. She doesn't go out of her way to challenge herself or find problems, but when she finds one, she doesn't shy away from confronting it. Because of this, she sometimes overworks herself, but her natural stubbornness prevents her from giving up even when exhausted. This has exasperated friends and family alike.

While her younger sister Penelope is beloved by the people, Catriona is respected and admired. However, her status and personality give her an unapproachable aura. This pains her, but she hasn't found a way to tear down that barrier, and few have ever tried to breach it. Those that have, however, mostly soldiers she's fought alongside in the border skirmishes, are proud to call her a friend.

Her experience with swordplay has made her a perfectionist, and she is often critical of both herself and others to a painful degree. What she hasn't learned is how to temper her words to make them more palatable, and this has earned her a few enemies.

Catriona feels guilt knowing she is the cause of the goddess' revival, however she has decided not to let either that guilt or her impending death weigh her down, and forges on regardless. She views the state as more important than individuals, and for that reason, underestimates her own relevance.

    Biography

    Spoiler

Born the crown princess of Galtea, Catriona has been groomed to take over her father's duties when it comes her time to take up the scepter. Because of this, she never had much time to get to know her younger sister Penelope, who was educated separately and more freely. Before she knew it, their interactions were painful and stiff, like talking with a stranger rather than a sister. While she wants to get to know and love her sister, Catriona doesn't know how, and her frustration at this causes her to snap at Penelope when they talk.

After turning sixteen, she joined the fighting on the border skirmishes, and made a name for herself there. This became part of the reason why she was kidnapped over her sister. Not only is her sister well-protected among the people, but Catriona has made herself a public enemy of Pontus after she defeated one of their prized generals in single combat. Shortly before her twenty-first birthday, she returned home to Augusta to celebrate it, but was kidnapped soon after arriving. During the ceremony, Inera cursed her so that she would die before her next birthday. Nonetheless, Catriona managed to escape and fled to Rabans. There she sent a message to her father informing him of what happened (minus the curse), and decided to put more distance between herself and Pontus, bypassing Galtea's goddess church to reach Sochen.

At Sochen, she was surprised to find Penelope, but at her sister's demands, informed her of what was happening, leaving out the curse. Penelope then suggested they try finding the Great Dragon, as it would be their best bet on defeating the goddess. They then headed out for Ithome to hopefully learn of the Great Dragon's whereabouts.

With the knowledge of her impending death hanging over her head, Catriona decided to groom her sister in the ways of royalty in case she fails. This has done nothing but worsen their relationship, however.

    Fighting Style

    Spoiler

Known for her skillful and smooth sword fighting, Catriona is a pleasure to behold in battle. She despises unnecessary movements, but manages to look like she's dancing anyway. A balanced fighter, she edges more toward skill than anything else, but her strokes have a strength behind them that belies her appearance.

Catriona was only granted hers after she earned a name for herself defeating a famous Pontic general. She named it Damocles, as a reminder to take her duties seriously, but it has instead become a symbol of her impending death.

    Catriona's Opinions

    Spoiler

Catriona is a little unique in that she has surface-level opinions, those she lets herself think, and deeper thoughts that she does not let herself dwell on as much. Except toward the animals and Raki. Those are all surface-level. In the animals' case, it's because she does not have much to think about them. In Raki's case, it's because she doesn't actually know him yet.

    Catriona
I see little point to this exercise, and even less on addressing my thoughts on myself. I am just Catriona. My opinions matter little in the greater scheme of things. We must defeat the goddess. That is what’s important.

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

Sometimes, I wonder if this is all pointless. I do not know how to lead anybody but soldiers. I cannot relate to my allies, and every attempt to grow closer only ends in failure or disappointment. It seems all too likely that this journey, too, shall fail. But I must try regardless. By the time the first autumn leaves fall next year, I shall be naught but a memory. I would like…to have given my life meaning before that happens. After all, I wasted most of it on an ambition. An ambition no longer within my reach.

    Alois
Alois is cocky, but he has also shown a capability in handling the stress of this journey. Far better than many of the group. I would compare him to a strong elm tree standing tall amidst a storm of chaos. However, his sharp tongue and blunt honesty have a tendency to cut deep into people’s pride, which usually exacerbates diplomatic matters. Thankfully, he makes up for it with his quick wits and quicker axe.

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

Aside from a few, I trust Alois the most in this group. Most everything about him, from his cocky demeanor to his blatant disregard of titles, reminds me of the people I knew in the Garou. They also did not treat me as a princess, but as a fellow soldier. I miss that. Due to that, I find myself more comfortable conversing with him than anybody else in the group. With everybody else, there is at least one bad memory, emotion, or unfamiliarity that lingers every time I start any sort of conversation with them. I would talk with Alois more often, but he seems to prefer the company of others, my sister in particular. I suppose that is for the best.

    Penelope
Penelope is my little sister who finds great joy in pulling pranks. It is quite apparent that she has not finished growing up. She clings to her tomes, and refuses to believe in the reliability of other sources. Knowledge alone will not carry you through a battle. She needs to realize this soon, before she makes an irreversible mistake. However, she is more intelligent and tactically sound than I, and much better at traversing the deadly shoals of conversation and diplomacy. In these matters, I am her inferior in every way, and defer to her.

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

I admit to holding…some jealousy toward my sister. She is much brighter, much friendlier, much more loved. As a child, her training was not nearly as harsh either. And when I see her with my father… Regardless, I can understand why everybody loves her. I too want nothing but the best for her. I wish she would go home. This journey is too dangerous for her. At least in Augusta, Father can protect her. But for now, I’ll keep her close and monitor her. I hope we will be enough to protect her. She carries the future of the kingdom on her shoulders, after all. And though it is extremely selfish…part of me is glad she is here. That she is here with me for this final chapter. But it is probably too late to repair what was broken long ago.

    Gunther
Gunther is responsible and dependable. He is also a good man, my sister’s personal guard, and one of a handful I would trust with her life. I am assured he will never betray or leave the group. One less worry at least. But sometimes…I get a little uncomfortable with his affinity for beasts. I do not share his ease, so approaching him when there are animals nearby is a little…disconcerting.

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

Like Penelope, I feel like we were closer to each other in the past. Before, I thought of him as a second sibling. We both understood that his duty was to my sister first. And in my case, Penelope also took priority. In that understanding, we formed a bond that I treasured. And later, I found solace in his quiet compassion. However…things have changed now. My estrangement from my sister also meant I could not see Gunther as much, either. It is…regrettable, but we grew distant, and I am unaware on how to bridge that gap. But…I also do not wish to close it. Gunther is a gentle soul, and I would rather, when things reach their natural end, that he not let sadness take hold of his heart, but stay strong for my sister.

    Edrick
Edrick, son of Stronghammer and nephew to the Dragon of Pontus, Eragon. It is bad enough I am consorting with a Pontic, let alone one who bears such accursed blood. I will trust him for now, but if he makes one wrong move, I will not hesitate to strike him down. The sole reason he is with us still is he risked his own life to save mine, and I must repay such a selfless sacrifice. That and he hasn’t double crossed us…yet.

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

I know I am being unfair to Edrick. He doesn’t deserve my distrust. My instincts tell me he is nothing more than an innocent farm boy. Too young to have taken part in the war. Too bright-eyed to be a soldier. Too generous to be secretly evil. I tell myself this, because each time he screams out a word in Pontic. Each time he chants prayers to the goddess. Each time he dedicates a soul to Her name… I am carried back to the battlefield. But the few times his actions do not remind me of a Pontic soldier, he reminds me instead of my sister. Like her, he does not belong here. Perhaps one day, this journey will steal his innocence and transform him from a comrade into another foe to strike down. I hope that shall not come to pass. For both of our sakes.

    Link
Link is my comrade from the border, and a good friend. One of my few friends, and the only one I have in the group—if fortune favors me, I shall make more. I can depend on him, and I appreciate having another person who understands the burden of the battlefield. And as usual, he is better at understanding the needs and desires of others. It is Link who reminded me I cannot treat the group as soldiers, but as civilians. I value his opinion highly.

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

There is something about Link. I felt like he was more alive at the border. Much happier and quicker to laugh and smile, something I envied him for. He belonged around the warm campfire we would set up in the Garou, and he had a way of reading people’s moods and lifting their spirits. We grew close too from our shared friendship with another soldier named Rohns. But he has changed since. I believe the cause to be that same affliction that so plagued many of my fellow soldiers, but I cannot fathom how to fix it. It isn’t a physical wound that can be treated. But I am confident that underneath it all, he is the same. I would prefer to see his true self more often, but I am unskilled in conversation, and each attempt has only met with failure.

    Rohns
I admit, I am unused to dealing with animals. I found excuses in the past to avoid the royal hunts, since I do not know how to handle the canines that they use. And if I cannot deal with dogs, then I doubt I can handle their wild counterparts. Still, Rohns is intelligent. He led us to the fox village; he warned us of the falling tree, and he will probably show his use in more ways in the future. That and his name… I knew a Rohns once. He was a kind man with big dreams, but in the end… He was also a good friend to Link, Anaïs, and me. I hope this Rohns, too, will be a good friend to my fellow soldier. And me? I shall be fine so long as he doesn’t get too close.

    Ciela
Ciela is…difficult. She is the only surviving member of the infamous House Mirrahel, and a sheltered girl who was never required to learn the ways of nobility, yet her spoiled bearing would bely it. When she gets upset, she has the tendency to fall into a tantrum where she berates the person who upset her. It is discomfiting to face, but also dangerous. Were she to do that to the wrong person…in fact, I fear she has already. I would prefer it if she grew out of that habit…

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

Ciela reminds me of Penelope in some ways, but she’s also different. Two sides of the same coin. They both love to lecture people, but they do it in different ways. Penelope will launch into a discourse using facts as ammunition, penning you into the conclusion she wants you to reach. Ciela will let her passion and rage carry her through like a tidal wave that drowns the opponent into submission. Both are sheltered nobles who have more book knowledge than common sense or real world experience, yet they manage to land on their feet when things go south. Though they might not handle it so well emotionally. I know Ciela is her own person, but perhaps thesee similarities are what let me allow myself to form a bond with her. I wish to keep her safe, and admittedly, I am more protective of her than most others in the group. Despite her strong front, she is so very fragile… I hope this journey does not shatter her spirit.

    Remy
Remy is the animal I am most comfortable around in this group. He is a dependable horse, unlike his rider. Of the famed Mirial White breed, one of the most valuable and expensive palfrey horse breeds in all Mysia. They were originally bred as racehorses, but are also used as riding or hunting horses. It is fortunate that Remy keeps close by Ciela, since anybody who knows anything of horseflesh would steal him in a heartbeat. Though I wish he could keep her out of trouble more often…

    Sienna
Sienna is a fox Protean, a race believed to be extinct or the stuff of fairy tales. However, it turns out there are thriving populations of Proteans in the Pelinna region. I am glad that Sienna is with us. We shall have much need of a giant fox in the final battle. Though I admit to be disappointed that she cannot make use of her enormous jaws like Licorice can. But her firepower is still a sight to behold.

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

I cannot help but feel that I have not done enough as a leader to make her feel welcome in the group. To be honest, I am not quite comfortable with the unfamiliar. And there is something unnerving about Proteans. Creatures of myth and legend brought to life. And foxes in particular…after what happened at Pelinna, with her father Rufus, I find myself less inclined to trust them. Still, it is not Sienna’s fault, nor was Rufus entirely to blame either. But my reluctance to speak with her remains. Yet I need must engage her in conversation, otherwise she might feel as I do. An outcast standing ever on the fringes of the group.

    Tsetseg
I admit I do not know this girl, Tsetseg, well. However, she seems reliable, having fought on our side during the battle versus the Awakened. Most of my misgivings toward her evaporated with the ending of that fight. So I reluctantly trust her, despite her…strange personality. She is bright and cheerful, and I cannot understand such a mindset. That, and she holds a simplicity of spirit that seems almost inhuman.

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

Despite Tsetseg’s youth and exuberance, I do not feel quite the same feelings of guilt toward her as I do toward Penelope or Edrick. She, at least, has had some experience in battle before joining us, having trained with the Pelinna Patrol. But her inability to read…I am disappointed in myself that I did not catch that. What kind of leader am I, that I was unaware of that? A leader must know their troops, and it is clear that I do not. I must work harder. But she does not approach me like she does the others, so I will attempt to observe her and the rest instead. To prevent this kind of failure from happening again.

    Citron
We found Citron in the village of Phar under suspicious circumstances. Still, at least she is not Pontic. Galtea holds no grudge against Isauria, so she is most likely not affiliated with our enemies. In all likelihood, she is exactly as she claims, a simple girl living in an orchard who thought it best to explore the world. One can never be too careful, but I believe she, at least, is honest.

    Deep Thoughts

    Spoiler

This girl might just come to regret joining our group. She wishes to experience the world, but I believe she is unaware to what extent she shall experience it with us. In all its dangers and terrors. And yet, I was the one who accepted her, a judgment that will assuredly taint her innocent outlook on life, all for the sake of bettering our chances. But were I forced to repeat this choice another dozen, nay a hundred times more, my decision would not change. Sacrifices are necessary for the sake of Mysia’s future. One day in the future, Citron might come to hate me for this, but I shall accept her blame without censure. It is my burden to bear. As the leader, and as the one ultimately responsible for the goddess’s revival.

    Peaches
I am not an animal person, and wyverns…they are even more violent than regular animals. I saw how Peaches acted when she thought her rider was in danger. While such loyalty is admirable, it is also dangerous. This very danger is one reason I accepted Citron into the group, but it is also a danger I would rather not have aimed at myself. My first reaction to a threat is to cut it down with my blade. However, the beaver battle showed how terrible I am at attacking anything inhuman. I doubt Citron would be happy if I were to injure Peaches either. I can only hope it will be a needless worry.

    Raki
Another wyvern rider. He seems different from Citron, however. Despite his similar cheery attitude, he is at least aware of how the world works. Which is good. He might prove quite useful. However, I find it suspicious that we found not one, but two wyvern riders in this village. Perhaps this place has an affinity for wyverns that I was previously unaware of?

    Garinphasia
If I thought Peaches was bad, Garinphasia is at least three times as ferocious. I shall keep my distance.

    Application

    Spoiler

    Identity Information
Name: Pretty simple. First and last, stuff like that.
Age: Within human age limits. Though for the more extreme ages (for medieval times), like <13 or >50, I will be expecting some sort of reasoning in the biography on how and why they are traveling with the party.
    Gender: Male, female, whatever.
Birthplace: Where are they from? Give the country at the very least.
Appearance: Spoiler this. Either a picture and height/weight or at least two paragraphs of description.
Personality: Spoiler this. Two paragraphs minimum.
Biography: Spoiler this. Two paragraphs minimum. If you need clarification on locations or stuff, just ask. I think I have given you guys plenty of opportunity for your characters to have met either Catriona or Penelope (or both) and have joined the party.

    Combat Information
Class: Choose from one of the unpromoted classes listed in the OP. Include what type of weapon you use, especially if you're a cavalier or thief. Also, even if somebody else has taken a class, that doesn't mean you can't take it either. However, I want only two maximum of the same class. So no five-mage party.
Stats: Spoiler this. I want to get a general idea of your character's strengths and weaknesses. Total should add up to 34 points. Give me:

    • HP - Health
    • Str - Physical strength
    • Mag - Magical aptitude
    • Skl - Accuracy
    • Spd - Speed
    • Lck - Luck
    • Def - Physical defense
    • Res - Magical resistance

    Grade them using this scale:

    • D - Poor. You're at a disadvantage, but at least you're not hopeless. Costs 2 points.
    • C - Average. You're not particularly good or bad with this. Costs 4 points.
    • B - Decent. You're at an advantage, and it shows. Costs 8 points.
    • A - Excellent. You're at the top of your game here. Costs 16 points.

Note: If you really don't want to do this, message me or CowCow. Also try not go OP with this. If you go A-rank in anything, try to limit it to one thing only and lower your other stats to compensate.
Fighting Style: Optional. Spoiler this. Describe how your character fights.
Inventory: Spoiler this if you go into detail. 5 slots maximum. Include your weapon(s) in this and any healing items you may have.

  8. ~Theme: Fire Emblem~

    hWTfe96.png

    <IC>

Hosted and Co-hosted by: Sethera and LordCowCow

The tale of the hero-king Augustus is passed down from parent to child all over the continent of Mysia. How he, ten other heroes, and the Great Dragon sealed the dark goddess Inera with the aid of the legendary sword Caliburn and the Fire Emblem. These heroes were known as the Twelve Crusaders, and they went on to establish the various countries that make up Mysia. Augustus in particular founded the kingdom of Galtea, where to this day his descendants rule.

It is said that only the blood of the hero-king can awaken the goddess from her slumber. With this in mind, the Order of Inera, a sect of holy men and women devoted to the dark goddess, devised a plan to steal one of the two children of King Reginald, the current ruler of Galtea. With the aid of goddess sympathizers in Augusta, they managed to kidnap Princess Catriona, using her blood at the Pontus shrine in a dark ceremony to revive the goddess. However, before they could complete the ceremony, the girl escaped.

Still, the ceremony wasn't without its consequences. Although they couldn't complete the ritual, the goddess was partially revived. With her awakening came undead horrors and Catriona herself ended up cursed, doomed to die before her next birthday.

Realizing the risk of returning to Augusta, where she might get kidnapped again, Catriona fled to the castle of Sochen, where her sister Penelope happened to be staying. After a tense reunion, they decided to set out for Ithome, the capital of Histia, where they might find more information on stopping the goddess and her curse.

Meanwhile, King Reginald has just received word of his daughter's return, the country that kidnapped her, and what they used her for. Pontus has gone too far this time...

    Rules

    Spoiler
    1. Remember to abide by the rules. The site rules and RP rules. And since this is an Advanced RP, the Advanced Clause applies as well.
    2. I will be posting a host post for this RP every Tuesday. I may extend it if there's a good reason to, such as the holiday season.
    3. Character limit for each player--sans host and co-host--is two characters. Players start with one, and if Cow or I figure you're able to handle two characters, we'll allow a second. There are a couple players that already have two characters as a carry over from the previous forum, but these players are still limited to two characters.
    4. This RP is generally Open Acceptance but LordCowCow and I reserve the right to say a character isn't IC-ready yet. We'll try and give feedback though on how to improve. Keep in mind we don't want overpowered characters.
