Summer Darj 292 Posted April 30, 2019 (edited) Gimmick Puppet Blue-Eyes DollLIGHT/Machine/Effect/Tuner/Level 1 800/1000 When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 Level 8 "Blue-Eyes" or "Gimmick Puppet" in your GY; Special Summon it, and if you do, you can make this card's Level become 8. You can shuffle this card from your GY into the Deck, then target 1 Effect Monster you control; send it to the GY, and if you do, Special Summon 2 Level 8 "Blue-Eyes" or "Gimmick Puppet" monsters with different names (1 from your hand or Deck, and 1 from your GY). You can only use this effect of "Gimmick Puppet Blue-Eyes Doll" once per turn. This card's concept spawned from the "Unlikely Archetypes" game thread, but I found the result surprisingly viable, even if Blue-Eyes and Gimmick Puppet may have little to nothing to do with each other. IDK if their users in the anime have anything in common, but I doubt it. Anyway, onto the card. LIGHT Level 1 Tuner lets it get support from "Eyes of Blue" monsters, 800/1000 are Squire stats for whatever that's worth, and it still requires Level 8 Blue-Eyes or Gimmick Puppets make it harder to enginize or splash in, so the support it offers to the archetypes it's not as straightforward, or rather it demands a bit of archetype dedication. Flavor-wise, it lets to either Summon a Rank8 monster, or the iconic "Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon". Thoughts?
