  1. Well I mostly just like the sharing of the music itself, both from me to other people and seeing what others post. This thread is just about the only thing I actually do on this forum anymore, I've finally moved away after a combined 11 years at YCM/NCM.

Listening to this song gets my blood pumping. This and Apocalypsis Aquarius during their respective boss fights really add to the battles.

  2. Can you also rate the video on this one?

I hadn't listened to any TWRP before this and I was only vaguely familiar with some of Danny's songs from Ninja Sex Party/Starbomb, but this showed up in the sidebar while I was watching Game Grumps and it caught my eye and I really liked it. Though this version is slightly cut down and seems to use a slightly different mix, but it really fits the video more which I assume is why they did it.

of the big Kickstarter games from several years back this is the only one that got such a warm reception.

Yooka-Laylee wasn't that bad, it gets a bit too much crap but it did pretty well. It certainly had some problems, but if MN9 is a 5/10 and this is a 9/10, YL was a solid 7/10.

  4. Gonna go with another of my favorite artists, ClariS (if I had to give a top 5, mine are in no particular order probably: BRADIO, ClariS, Earth, Wind & Fire, nano, and Rick Astley).

Whether it's Clara with Alice or Clara with Karen, I love how their voices come together in their music. Their songs are so upbeat and make me very happy (or in the case of some of the music they did for Madoka Magica, emotional). And how they've kept their identities secret (having live performances done while wearing masks or behind a screen as silhouettes, album art being of illustrated personas, etc.) is pretty cool. The fact they started in middle school is also super impressive. When Alice originally left the duo in 2014 I was very devastated, I was about 20 at the time but when I learned about it I felt like a teenage girl that just had their favorite boy band break up or something like that. Thankfully Karen formed a new duo with Clara later that year and they've still made very good music that gives the same ClariS feel.

  5. Ooh, perfect timing for this, then.

I just love BRADIO's style, both musically and aesthetically. The different flashy suits they wear in their videos as well as Shingyoji's afro are very fun. Their music is so groovy, and if I were to give any sort of comparison I find them almost like a Japanese Earth, Wind & Fire which is a band I've been listening to ever since I was a kid.

  6. I'm voting Bowser as well, and there's not really much I can add that hasn't already been said regarding the two as characters. Bowser's simply way more fun of a character.

And you know what else Bowser has that Ganondorf doesn't?

    Doug Bowser jokes.

Ganondorf has gone through so many iterations, but in the end, still is just Ganondorf. Mind you, this could possibly be just the problem stemming from the whole "Trio forever reincarnated" thing

Well that's one thing about Ganondorf, of the three of them in terms of characters Link and Zelda at least have the advantage of having multiple incarnations to pull from, but there's only ever been 2 Ganondorfs. Four Swords Adventures featured his only actual reincarnation (and even then iirc he obtained his original memories and stuff from his past life so he was practically the same person anyways), while every other game with Ganon/Ganondorf is the same one that started from OoT. Aside from FSA he's either been brought back from the dead or broken out of some magic seal, but almost never reincarnated.

Now, Wind Waker has shown us that they can give him more characterization. But unlike Bowser's constant rivalry with Mario, from the perspective of each Link, Ganon/Ganondorf is a new bad guy even though to the player he's the same Ganon/Ganondorf. He's largely just the big bad that's saved for the end of the game and I wish he'd get more time to develop.

    Spoiler

I can't believe the Joker/Norman Osborne character was actually the Hulk this whole time. If he fights Gigantomachia that'll be sick.

And we finally see Spinner's quirk and it's largely useless. Though theoretically he might be able to do more gecko-like things, like how Tsuyu trained to be able to do more frog-like things.

  8. Iga's Kickstarter from 2015 has finally borne fruit. I'm just waiting to get my physical copy but it looks really good and reviews have been great as well. People wanted more Metroidvania and that's exactly what they're getting. All the game modes and stuff coming in the future as free DLC will be cool. I'm also really curious about that Child of Light music at the end, is Aurora gonna be the 3rd playable character or something?

  9. While I'm not bothered personally by this whole controversy about transferring Pokemon, one frustration I've see voiced that I can understand is that while updating all the Pokemon would certainly be a huge undertaking, if anyone can do it it's Game Freak and they're just choosing not to. Pokemon is literally the highest grossing media franchise in existence, it's not like they don't have the money or resources that would be necessary to pull it off. In general it has a lot to do with the sentiment that Game Freak just plays Pokemon far too safe since the series just prints money regardless.

  10. One thing I really loved about E3 was the crowd of Bethesda's conference. The conference itself was largely just a bunch of nothing (except for DOOM, as well as Ghostwire Tokyo, bless Ikumi Nakamura) but the crowd had me laughing so much. There was that group of people (who were obviously paid to be there or planted Bethesda employees or something) up in front who kept standing up and cheering while no one else was nearly that excited, and shouting at the top of their lungs every other second. They were so over the top they kept interrupting the speakers to the point they looked irritated about it.

One of my favorite shots of the crowd had this zoom in on a few people and one of the women there just clearly did not want to be there. Frowning, arms crossed, and when she noticed the camera on her she rolled her eyes and gave the laziest clap I've ever seen while still being clearly not happy. It was great.
