This is my current feel good song

Also I know you don't judge based on video but the video is very happy and you should watch it even if it doesn't effect the score

You're right, I don't judge based on videos. However, I do still rate videos in addition to the songs if people ask and I'm feeling up to it. I don't like doing it all that often because it means I can't do other things while I'm rating music, and the ability to multitask ise a big part of why I'm fine doing this thread to begin with. I think I'll rate this video too since you're so insistent.

    Song: 7/10
Video: 4/10 if I'm being quite bluntly honest

Should I just go rate the entire DA Games channel?

5/10. It's done in very much the same style as Instruments of Cyanide which you also posted, but it doesn't suit it  imo. Feels forced into that style, I think. Also those high notes sounded awful.

OP's suggestion. Get some popcorn; it's a long one.

8/10. I'd give bonus points since the guy that wrote the song also did the Clone Hero chart for it himself (as well as charting the previous Soulless songs and everything else he makes for Guitar/Clone Hero), but that's unrelated to the song itself.

Another day. Deep beneath the cracked roads and dilapilated buildings of Hearthome City, a hidden laboratory - far too pristine to belong in this garbage fire of a city - sounded off with the ringing of an alarm clock. 5 o'clock in the morning, on the nose, just like every day before it. Natsumi shut the alarm off as soon as it started ringing. Ever since successfully manifesting her mark, the details on the next step forward had been kept a tight secret that she couldn't get to. What was the point of having this at all if she was going to just waste away in some hidden facility!? Natsumi had been up long before the alarm clock she'd set to wake her went off; she'd been getting restless lately.

And, much like any other day, mere seconds after the alarm went off, the door to Natsumi's room opened up. This place wasn't exactly luxurious, but it was more than good enough for her. "Good morning, Natsumi," her handler greeted. "Up early again, I see?"

"Yes. The experiment was a success, so what does KaibaCorp plan to actually do with us now?"

"Ahh, today's your lucky day. You're going to find out. Come, it's time we got out of here and had you meet up with the others."

"Finally," Natsumi sighed in relief, eager to get started with... whatever it was she was supposed to be doing.

"This is the place?" Out of Hearthome and into Satellite. She wasn't sure if she was happy or sad to call this place a step up from home. What she was sure of, however, was that there was no way this was where the rest of Project Crimson would be meeting up. It was, of all things, an abandoned prison. "You must have made a wrong turn or something."

"Nope, this is the place. You get going now. Wouldn't want to keep the others waiting, would we?"

"...very well." With only a small amount of hesitation, Natsumi walked into the prison, making more of an effort to not default to her usual limp. She was pretty sure it wasn't working, judging by the look the white-haired boy gave her when she walked in, before confirming that she was Natsumi, bearer of the Foot mark, and promptly returning to his book. Not exactly a warm welcome, was it? Looking around, Natsumi spotted a table for ten. Quite a few more than she was expecting, to be honest. Natsumi had expected to have to work in a group of five, maybe six people. This project must have been a greater success than she'd imagined.

The boy already sitting there - the only one that got here before her, as it turned out - looked like trouble. It would probably be in her best interest to associate with him as little as possible. Natsumi sat down at the seat furthest from him, and turned her attention to the door, sitting upright and waiting for the others to arrive. Hopefully they wouldn't keep her waiting for long.

  3. when you eat a froot by the foot (assuming they have those over there), do you gradually work your way through it and take your time, or do you just shove the entire thing in your mouth and down the whole thing in one bite?

if they in fact don't have froot by the foot over there, do you eat ice cream sandwiches with part of the wrapper still on and remove more as you work your way down, or just take off the whole wrapper at once?

  4. Those little announcement bannners that the mods use then they appear at the top of the site, I keep closing them but the old ones keep popping up every so often. Is this some sort of bug because the site is still new, or might it be something on my end, or what? I haven't seen any other threads asking about this (though I didn't look super-hard) so I feel like it might be a potential issue worth pointing out if I happen to be some sort of rare case.

    Location: Islesbury Town
    Poké: 740

"Ahoy there! You lasses, and lad, wanting a ride on the ferry? Just this way, just this way. Already got another group of three on board, you can see em there on deck. Seems they wanted to do some battling if that strikes your fancy."

This guy looked familiar... wasn't he the guy that brought them to Korova to begin with? No, it had to be a different guy. That was an eerie resemblance though. Nomi, predictably enough, immediately asked the question of if there were any beds on the boat. There weren't, but there were couches. That seemed good enough for her. If she was able to sleep on the back of a Rhyhorn, there probably wasn't anywhere that girl couldn't sleep. A battle sounded nice, and it would let Kanon see just where she stood against trainers that weren't those Team Phoenix people.

Kanon followed Oswald's lead, heading over to meet this other group of three. Except it was a group of two. One of them must have gone somewhere They looked like a pretty typical pair, though the guy among the group looked like he might have been bad news. From the looks of things, they'd also been battling lately. It was kind of weird to just butt in at this sort of time, right?

    "Howdy!"

    "Hi there."

    ...she'd done so without thinking.

Was Oswald not going to introduce himself. Fine then. "Name's Kanon..." Actually, this was kind of awkward. Why did it feel awkward? Or was that just her?

  7. 3Zv19eY.png

Some people walking around... way less than I would have guessed. Maybe most of them went to the city part of the exam area? That would be nice.

Of course, there weren't no people besides Hibiki in the forest area. She could hear two girls off in the distance. It sounded like they were arguing about something? As much as she loved eavesdropping on them, she was promptly interrupted by another voice, right behind her.

"Hey, Hibiki was it? I overheard some of the other students are teaming up... how 'bout you and I group up too? I'm sure the two of us will get through this no problem!"

Hibiki jumped in surprise, so intent on listening to the far-off voices that she paid no attention to the ones closer to her. "Hyah! You startled me!" Her sunglasses fumbled around and nearly fell off her face, but she was able to keep them on. "Teaming up is a great idea! Let's do it! As a matter of fact, I was listening around for badges, and heard something over that way." With one hand, Hibiki pointed toward the source of the mystery sound she heard. Then she pointed her other hand in the direction she'd heard the other girls coming from, and continued "And over there, I heard those two dangerous-looking girls arguing about something. We should try to avoid them if we can help it, um..."

What was his name again? Hibiki had already gone into the testing area before he introduced himself, so she never got his name. "Sorry~ Who are you again? Let's walk and talk." Keeping her ears intently perked up for the conversation she'd suddenly been met with, Hibiki started leading the way toward the mystery sound she'd heard earlier.

    Day 8, 8:00, Arena
    Points: 61

    W/L Record: 3/3

    A 20-point loss isn't exactly what I wanna see.

Maybe it was the heat from her losing fight against Cyanthrax a few days back, but Aurora had been a bit out of it since that fight. Most of what she did between then and now was kind of a haze; she definitely remembered having some fights, and only winning one of them, but even the details on that were pretty foggy. Maybe she'd caught some weird demon flu? Whatever it was, her head was feeling cleared up today. Aurora checked her watch for a few different status updates on the arena itself. The issues with the event battles had finally been fixed! She'd finally be able to cash in on that special fight, which was the thing standing between her and a bigger, better room.

Although, I guess I'd have it by now if I didn't sign up. Win some, lose some, I guess.

According to the message she'd gotten from Mauvache, it would be pre-recorded? That probably meant she'd have to come back around to that later, around the time she had her typical arena fights perhaps? Which gave her a few hours to start her day off right! Mauvache was even paying for the meals today! If the arena meals weren't on a pay-per-day basis, this would have been the morning where Aurora stuffed her face. Without skipping a beat, Aurora got dressed and made directly for the food court. Breakfast was the most important meal of the day, and Aurora wasn't about to miss hers, especially when it was free.

It wasn't until she got there and sat down, with a plate full of pancakes, that she remembered something important. The casino. It would probably be a good idea to send a message Gavin's way.

    From: Aurora
    To: Gavin
Hey! Sorry if I've been out of touch or something lately. Not sure what was up, but whatever it was, it's gone now. We should check out that casino sometime today if you're not busy.

He probably wasn't busy, right? Not like anyone was fighting today, just like Mauvache said.

The comments on Hibiki's unintentional outburst seemed to just be various flavors of "it's okay." However, there was one comment in particular that stood out to her outside the rest.

"You can be as loud as you like... Makes it easier for me to track you down and kick you into the dirt."

This girl... might be dangerous. I should avoid her during this test!

"Before you head into the exam, please come up to me and state your name. At that time, I will mark you off the Attendance List and hand you a starting badge.  These badges will count towards your 5 total badges and also clue you in as to what you're looking for specifically. After that, you will be allowed into the practical one at a time. This process will be volunteer based, so the first ones to volunteer will be the most likely to find badges in the exam. Those who wait last will most likely have to ambush others for theirs...or must have a sharp eye."

Sharp eye? Oh no! Hibiki briefly removed her sunglasses. Everything looked blurry under the sunny blue sky, and she had to squint and strain her eyes to make out any details on anyone. That was most certainly not a sharp eye! She put the sunglasses back on. She wasn't sure what counted as sharp, but she certainly could see better with less light invading her retinas. In the time it took to assess her vision situation, a few students had already stepped up and headed into the exam area. They were getting a head start over her! That was even worse!

Hibiki hurried up to the front after the Diana girl, wings flapping excitedly with every step. "I'm Himura Hibiki! Pleased to meet all of you!" She was handed the badge, clearly surprised by its weight. It was way heavier than it looked! Trying to pay no mind to the weight, Hibiki headed into the exam area. The area was split between a city and a forest. Obviously Hibiki was going to the forest. There would be more natural shade there, and probably more spots to hide if other dangerous students decided to try and fight.

And so, Hibiki turned, stepping into the woods and opening her mouth. A sound was coming out of her mouth, though there was no way the other students would've been able to hear it with how high-pitched it was. It was painting a clearer picture of her surroundings than her eyes would have given her. As one might have expected, her surroundings featured lots of trees. And one distinctly not-tree thing over in...

    That direction!

Club recruitment was in full swing this week. Which, under any other circumstance, wouldn't have been a problem. However, the swim team was also a club, and because of that, the pool wasn't exactly available for recreational use, which was a problem. While she didn't mind swimming in more natural(?) bodies of water near the school, the pool had the added advantage of being more away from the public eye. She could have done with a quick swim today, but instead settled for simply ordering some Tito's. She was just now getting back onto campus, even if today felt like it would have been a good day to go exploring a bit.

Today, she was busy with something...

    A few days ago; CoffeeCards...

This latest guy was different because he looked like he was here for something besides coffee. Also, his outfit was stupid. Kyouko nearly spat out the final sip of her coffee on seeing the guy, trying her best not to laugh that someone would wear that in public.

"And here I thought the entertainment duelists at our school had some dumb getups," she couldn't help but comment.

"Like the Kamen Rider, right?" Sai added. "I really can't imagine how he walks in public with that..,"

Why was he looking at the people at Kyouko's table? And coming this way? Kyouko deliberately turned her eyes away from the man in the stupid costume and to her drink, sipping it down. He was still there, right at the edge of the table. She could feel him looking at her. Go away.

    "Miss Kyouko Izumi, I presume?"

Just don't look at him and he'll buzz off, Kyouko thought to herself, thumb tapping against the table surface. The next thing she knew, she felt sometehing against her hand. It felt like cloth, but the shape of it felt like a pair of lips. Looking back at her hand, she found the guy, kissing her hand through that dumb mask thing over his mouth. Kyouko reflexively yanked her hand away, before bringing it forward again to punch the man as hard as she could. However, his head had already moved, and Kyouko's fist not only missed its mark, but very nearly slammed directly into one of the fine people she was sitting across from.

"Personal space," she spat. "You should keep that sort of thing in mind."

“Glad to have your attention. Allow me to introduce myself. You may call me Raven, and I have come here for the express purpose of challenging you to a contest of skill, my lady.”

Contest of skill? Kyouko had never been much the dextrous type, always more the type to solve problems with sheer force if they ever came up. Not sorry, but if it’s for someone who tries to make a first impression like that, I think I’ll pass.” Kyouko guzzled down the rest of her drink, casting a judgmental glare at this Raven person.

“Allow me to clarify then. I mean to challenge you to a duel.”

“If you meant a duel, then just say so in the first place. I’m sure there are pretty girls in whatever wackjob part of town you’re from who like a guy that beats around the bush like that, but I’m not one of them. So, why me of all people? ...and for that matter, how did you know I was here to begin with?” This guy was a creep beyond redemption, wasn’t he?

“A true master never reveals his secrets, but let us just say it is my job to be in the know, and that I know a great many things. You do wish to pay me back for invading your space, do you not?” She couldn’t make out his facial expression, but the look in his eyes conveyed all the smarm necessary for the desired effect.

How did I let that creep convince me to take up his duel? She was sure he'd try to cheat in some way. If he even showed up in the first place! Needless to say, with today being the day he'd promised to show up, the nerves from that meeting were coming back to Kyouko. He was apparently a good enough stalker to find people no problem, no matter where they may have been, so it wasn't like Kyouko had to worry about going out of her way to find him. As she absentmindedly chewed on the bite of taco already in her mouth, taking some time to savor the taste, before a distinct bumping sound snapped her out of her mindless meandering.

Her feet had guided her up to the roof of the school building, and peeking out through the cracked-open door, there was a boy lying there, looking up at the clouds. Was he brain-damaged? Trying to be? Lying in that spot was just flat-out stupid. "Hey," she flatly said, looking down at the boy on the floor. "You stupid or something? That's a great spot to lie down if you like people opening doors onto your head."

  12. Classy

    IGGEbA0.jpg
"You're one of the lucky few to be gifted with a mark instead of death. At least try to act the part, would you?"

    Name: Natsumi
    Age: 17
    Gender: Female

    Physical Description:

    iMwmcOm.jpg

A girl on the shorter side, standing at a mere 5'3", Natsumi has a head of naturally green hair, which she cuts cautiously and meticulously to be just the right length. Her frame is an overall thin one, which seems only thinner when considering her chest is reminiscent of a coffee table. Natsumi dresses neatly, and is very particular about the little things in her outfit, like wrinkles, stains, or worst of all, something being off-center. Also worth note is that Natsumi walks with a limp, putting her weight more on her right side. This is because - as the keen observer may find for themselves at some point - her left leg is in fact a prosthetic.

    Personality:

A perfectionist with too much attention on the little details, Natsumi believes in change and progress above all else. Progress is what separates the cutting-edge technology of today from the sticks and stones of ancient times, and change is what turns misery into joy. Without those sacred concepts, life is meaningless. As such, Natsumi frowns upon old-fashioned views and traditions. It's the new experiences and ideas that thrill her, which has the benefit of Natsumi often trying to come up with new solutions to old problems. Of course, it also makes her restless and impatient. Natsumi can't stand sitting around and simply waiting, and has to be productive with her time. She likewise expects others to not slack about and make use of their limited time on this earth.

For someone of such rough and unsavory origins, however, Natsumi carries herself in a manner more befitting a girl from a house of class and prestige. She finds that even - or rather, especially - when one comes from a life that doesn't get any respect, acting in a respectable manner is the key to getting by in a civilized world. Imperfections and blemishes on one's character should be hidden away, she'd say, but Natsumi still has plenty of traits left over from her run-down childhood.

She values material wealth greatly, and tries to be a frugal spender as best she can. This includes greatly frowning upon wastefulness. Especially when it involves food. It can also be hard to gain Natsumi's trust, which only further incentivizes her to put up an icy, "perfect" exterior.

    Biography:

Born and "raised" in Hearthome City, Natsumi never knew her birth family. The orphanage staff were her parents, and the other orphaned street rats were her brothers and sisters. It isn't a past Natsumi particularly likes talking about. Her time after being adopted into Project Crimson, on the other hand, is a different story.

Taken on at the ripe age of nine, Natsumi was pulled out of Hearthome and into an isolated facility in the attempt to give her a fake Signer mark. While she didn't fully understand the weight of this experiment at first, she was exceptionally cooperative and enthusiastic about the project the more she worked it all out. Even if she died, doing it in the name of science was far better than getting stabbed in some grimey alleyway back home. Perhaps because she was so willing, Natsumi was among the first of the Project Crimson orphans to develop a Signer mark. Needless to say, she was thrilled, and is looking forward to meeting the other successful experiments.

I understand why some people may take the new site being founded the wrong way, but it's not nearly the problem anyone claims it is, nor is the drama surrounding it. I'll be sticking to this forum myself, and don't really care much what most people do one way or the other.

Also, no movies that stand out to me for 2019. Not yet anyway.
