    Heavily displeased. This is something I have to answer step by step, starting by quoting the status by the man himself. Let's take it from the top.

    Where the fuck do you vacation in the 21st century where you have no internet access for two weeks? The Mariana Trench? The Bermuda Triangle? This is an annual thing, so would it really have been that difficult to renew the whatever or check before leaving? And frankly, if it hadn't been for Winter going to outright-stalker-tier measures just to bring it up, the site would probably have been down for all of January too, or however long it took for YCMaker to try getting his next ad check.

    This bit in particular interests me, since he only said "Someone with admin permission" without excluding himself. From this, we know it was either him or Torm, and Torm wasn't able to access damn near half the site's plugins anyway. I wouldn't put it above YCMaker at this point to disable the anti-spam measures himself so that the spambots would keep triggering ads in a desperate effort to make a quick buck off ad revenue, then try to shift the blame.

    People tend to leave when they're finally done with their incapable leader's bullshit. I constantly say I'd like to be remodded, but YCMaker could PM me right now with a super mod position and that wouldn't be enough to make me stay there. The people who want to stay can stay if they feel like, and quite bluntly NCM will be better off without a decent chunk of them.

    Overall, it was too little, too late, and too obviously a last-ditch effort to keep his site from decaying into a rotten corpse. I'd love to say to his face everything wrong with YCMaker's return, why he's such an inadequate administrator that we created an entirely new site, and more, but my voice of reason has demanded I don't because it would cause drama to spill over to here.

    Mmm, if it were a brand from Mexico that'd be one thing, but from Canada seems a bit odd since I live in the middle of the vast nowhere of Texas. Must have just been unlucky timing on my part then.

    It seemed that Kanon wouldn't have to go looking for Nomi after all. Not that she would have been all that hard to find, what with her potato-like tendencies and the Rhyhorn she rode around on. That meant that everyone could get together and head for the ferry when it was time...

    "Don't get too comfy. Now that you're up, we gotta find Kanon."

    "Um..." Maybe he just didn't hear her when she showed up? And it was totally possible he didn't see her either, maybe. Talk about awkward.

    "She went to the marsh from before to do something, so let's head back there. Or...you could wait here. It's your choice."

    "I'm right here you know!" she called out. Releasing her Inkay from its Poke Ball and holding the little squid up, she continued "And I even caught a new friend! I'm not sure how you didn't notice me at all, but you really need to pay more attention to your surroundings." Honestly, is he so excited about fishing that he'll completely fail to notice an entire person? Fishing sounded fun and all, but Kanon wasn't sure if she'd call it that exciting.

    With that, Kanon made for where the ever-Nomi-like Nomi had decided to flop this time, hoisting her up onto her feet with her best effort. "Unless you all want to stay here instead, we'd best make for the ferry once everyone's ready to go. I've already done everything I have to."

    Frankly, your desire for a fresh restart is a bit confusing. Not that you want it mind you - I totally get that - but I'm more caught up by how you keep saying you want to start from scratch... then keep making obscure jokes that reference things you'd probably have to be a fossil by YCM standards to get. It's like you're trying to hit the "New Game" button but still get your xp and loot from if you hit "New Game+" instead.

    The admin this community needs, but not the one it deserves. Anyone who gets us out of YCMaker's "leadership" by making a new site altogether with an active admin, a light theme that doesn't blind me, and a ton of neat features like the bump button, can't be a bad guy. I remember being wary of you getting any power at all at first, but I'm glad to see I was wrong about that.

    I mean when we get McDonald's every other time I get just a mcdouble and fries, without fail, so it's pretty fishy that the one time I added nuggets into the mix was the one time I got sick. If you've been hearing something's up with the chicken that would explain a lot.

    The sound of HIbiki's phone vibrating on the desk in front of her broke the early-morning silence. She'd been allowed to stay in the dorms of UA so that she could get to her practical exams in time, but between being used to a nocturnal sleep schedule and simply being so excited for the exam, she hadn't gotten any sleep last night! She'd spent the last few hours texting back and forth, since she wasn't the only one so thrilled about the final step of maybe getting to join an amazing school like UA.  She turned her attention immediately to the phone screen. The brightness on it had been turned down about as far as it would let Hibiki go.

    Hibiki looked at the clock in the corner of her screen. It was already... time for the exam!?

    It's time for the practical! I'll text you back after it's over! Hibiki put her phone down, grabbed the sunglasses lying next to it and hurriedly put them on her face, already making for the door. She stopped only very briefly in the kitchen area to grab a single orange and a cheap bottled milk that she chugged down in no time flat, before bursting out of the dorm building like a bat out of hell. She chomped into the orange without mercy, and by the time she was where she was supposed to be with the other students, the only evidence remaining that the orange had existed in the first place was a small piece of it sitting by the corner of her mouth.

    "To get this far, you must have already passed the written test. Today will be the day of the practical. Beyond this gate lies a forest type area, and a city type area. You are free to roam wherever you please, and do as much damage as possible, but your objectives will all be the same. In each area are a limited amount of badges that resemble the U.A. logo. To complete the practical, one must obtain 5 badges and return to the gate before sundown. It doesn't matter how you get your badges.  Just so long as you're here, you'll be permitted to attend U.A."

    "So if I beat the snot out of some dude with 3 badges, and take 'em, I get in?"

    That's really smart! And also very mean-spirited. And I'm not much of a fighter anyway. Hopefully that tall girl didn't decide to pick a fight with Hibiki. She didn't even know what that girl could do, but if she was asking about fighting, it was safe t o guess she was good at that, right!? WIth the students being given some time to stretch, Hibiki stretched her arms, her legs, and even if they wouldn't be doing her any favors, her wings. She just couldn't contain her excitement! The bat girl raised a fist up into the air.

    "Alright everyone, let's make sure to all do our very BEST!" That last word came out way louder than she'd meant! She could see birds from some trees over yonder flying off, startled by the sudden loud noise, and could hear her own echo come back to her. Hopefully she didn't hurt anyone's ears like that! "Sorry!" she exclaimed, putting her hands over her mouth in case it happened again. "I'm just super-excited right now!"

    Sora is on the smaller side, standing at only 5'4" and weighing 126 pounds. Atop her head rests long, smooth, black hair, contrasted by piercing yellow eyes. Her facial expressions can often look more stern or serious than Sora actually is, which can give off the wrong impression about her to others. Fashion-wise, as a hero who creates storms, Sora is never seen without the yellow raincoat and black rubber boots seen above. Beneath the raincoat is rather typical attire for a young woman. Those lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Sora without her raincoat on may get a peek at a distinct marking on her left bicep. This marking is embedded into her skin like a burn scar, and is in the shape of a cloud with a snake coiled around it.

    Personality:

     

    Even before becoming a hero, Sora had always been highly vocal on the belief that people gifted with some great ability should use it to aid those who don't in any way possible. As a direct result of this belief, villains who misuse their gifts drive her straight up the wall, and should she capture one, they'll likely be in for quite the lecture on morality, power, and more. Likewise, heroes have always been her... well, her heroes. They're a special type of people she looks up to in awe, and the fact that she's now one herself is still sinking in. Ever since joining the Hero Association, she's done her utmost to work up to the standards she holds other heroes to, even if it means running herself ragged or getting in over her head. While she admires the idea of being a hero for fun, and she certainly does enjoy her job, it's still a career, so she takes it pretty seriously.

    Powers:

     

    Stormbringer: Sora has been gifted with power over storms, though she's still getting trying to get a feel for what exactly she's capable of. This power over storms grants her the below abilities, and this list may be updated over the course of the RP.

    Storm Generation: The ability to create storms. As of the start of the RP, the best Sora can manage is a simple thunderstorm just big enough to fill in a sports stadium. Because this involves changing the weather, it's not something she can do instantly.

    Hydromancy: The ability to manipulate water. While she's also capable of creating water, she can only do this under a storm cloud; otherwise she'll need pre-existing water to work with.

    Waterwalking:The ability to walk on water without sinking. Only works if it's raining, but can be extended to anyone Sora makes skin contact with.

    Wind Immunity: Although it has very few practical uses, Sora can't be moved by wind, no matter how strong it may be. Much like her ability to walk on water, this attribute also extends to a person or object Sora makes skin contact with.

    Background:

     

    Sora always wanted to be a hero, but didn't have much in the way of actually going about it. That all changed when, not too long ago, something came into contact with this world, and her specifically. Something from beyond this world, cruising through the cosmos as an interdimensional monster of stormy weather. It came to Sora one wet and windy day with an offer. Be given the power of the storm, and in exchange, simply use it, to keep this "Storm Lord" from running out of energy. Sora accepted.

    By this point, the Hero Association had already started taking in hometown heroes, so as one could imagine, Sora was rather new to the job. Witnessing firsthand the deeds of the Caped Baldy, whose power was clearly far beyond his class, only invigorated her further to hone her impressive power and climb the ranks.

    Music comedians are the best of both worlds. If you're interested in music with comedic lyrics, I'd also suggest Psychostick, some of Voltaire's work, and to a lesser extent some works by Lagerstein and Alestorm.
    7/10, tempting to bump it to 8 for that mic drop, but alas that's a video thing and not a song thing.

    It's occurred to me that I don't think I've shared any ClariS music here, which is baffling since they're one of my all-time favorites alongside BRADIO, Earth, Wind & Fire, and nano.

    This song comes with both sadness and happiness for me. It was the first song released by ClariS after Alice left (which fucking devastated me back in 2014, holy shit) and Karen joined the duo, but it let me know that ClariS wasn't gone. The song gives me the same kind of vibes as their prior works.
