  1. Probably going to build Valentines Veronica up after I get more Grails. It's currently between her and Brunnya, so it'll probably depend on the refine Fimbultver gets since Veronica is cheaper to merge since a copy was available from the limited codes.

Also, Seer's Snare is probably the most fun game mode they have added. Basically kept Aversa and Nah as my Red units due to being good at (de)buffing and then swapped around my Blue and Green unit.

First Engage character is now at +10. Do wish Monarch Blade had the slaying effect instead of +3 Spd, but maybe when she gets her refine in 3 years. Now the only game I have left to get a character to +10 from is Mirage Sessions, where it is just really just hope for a stray Tsubasa whenever I pull Blue.

After sitting with all the merges available for the past 2 years, Valentines Alfonse is my 2nd +10 Armour unit. Did I think twice about using a Young Hector as fodder? No. Should I've thought about it a bit? Probably.

EDIT: Wasn't really thinking much of it but I now have base Sigurd at +10. So hurray for the 4* Special Rate.

  4. Spoiler

    FpHQRNY.jpg2ISHVzm.jpg

2 more characters merged up. One being a project and the other just kinda happening. Aversa is finished with a small bit of help from a stranger for their skills and dragon flowers. The other being Brave Lyn, who has slowly been merged up for the past few years, so with the release of her Resplendent and the Golden Week banners I got the last couple of merges.

  5. KKEFVlJ.jpg

12 Fae's went into this merge project. Why keep a Legendary version when you can instead use it as fodder for it's Book 1 version instead? Now moved on to actually finish merging Valentines Alfonse who was sitting at +5, while I get the 1000 Grails to get Aversa to +10 and Lumera to +9 for her GHB rerun.

  6. I'm not a Blue-Eyes player, but I'm trying to think of a good use for this outside of using it as a 9,000 Atk beatstick. For example, if your opponent has 2 monsters with 3,000 Atk you can either:

    1. Activate the effect targeting both and deal 3,000 battle damage (1,500 each), or
    2. Not activate the effect at all and only battle one and deal 6,000 battle damage.

This makes not using the effect better in pretty much all cases. If you just want to get rid of your opponents during battle, then Blue-Eyes Twin Burst does a better job as it can't be destroyed by battle, and if you're willing to potentially lose some life, can banish anything it can't destroy instead. Even compared to some of the Blue-Eyes Ultimate retrains, it only really has the 9,000 Atk going for it. Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate can attack 3 time providing it is the only face-up card you control and you still have Blue-Eyes fusions in your Extra Deck, and Alternative Ultimate can destroy either 1 or 3 cards each turn you can keep it around depending on it's fusion material, while having protection from your opponents card effects. One of the better ways I can see it being used is to Fusion Summon Neo Ultimate while having Deep-Eyes in hand and attack over your opponents monsters hoping to get at least 1 monster destroyed, then send Perfect Ultimate to allow Neo to attack again. Now, if Neo Ultimate is destroyed, you can then Special Summon Deep-Eyes, burn your opponent for 1,800 damage minimum (You'd have at least Blue-Eyes, Neo Ultimate, and Perfect Ultimate in grave), then you target Perfect Ultimate to make Deep-Eyes' Atk 9,000.

For changes, I'd do something like this:

    Spoiler

First fixing the card text (could be worded better, not sure how to phrase the first effect while keeping it in line with the original):

    Quote

    Perfect Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon

    Level 12 / LIGHT

    Dragon / Fusion / Effect

    "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" + "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" + "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"

When this card declares an attack: You can target up to 2 monsters your opponent controls; if you do, this card loses 4500 ATK during this Battle Phase and can attack those targets. During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that targets a "Blue-Eyes" monster(s) you control: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.

    9000 / 2500

    wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==

    For my "updated" version:

    Quote

    Perfect Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon

    Level 12 / LIGHT

    Dragon / Fusion / Effect

    "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" + "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" + "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"

Once per turn, when this card declares an attack, you can banish 1 "Blue-Eyes" monster from you Extra Deck: activate one of these effects:

    • Increase this cards ATK by 4500 until the End Phase.
    • This card can make up to 2 attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase this turn.

During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that targets a "Blue-Eyes" monster(s) you control: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.

    4500 / 2500

    wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==

The changes for this one bring its Atk in line with the current Atk of the Blue-Eyes fusions at 4,500, and turning the single effect of reducing the Atk by 4500 in order to attack twice into 2 effects. 1 to raise the Atk to 9,000 and the other to allow it to attack twice. I also added a cost to it for balance reasons.

  7. Yato in Heroes seems more based off Alpha/Omega Yato, having Alpha Yato's stat boosts (after refining) but Omega Yato's desgin, but none of the upgrade forms are in Heroes. If Corrin does get a Yato, I'd expect it to be Shadow or Omega due to Female Corrin being more "canon" to Conquest (appears on the Conquest box art, promotion in Warriors and Legendary alt in Heroes is Nohr Noble), Outside of a Yato, I could see Corrin being a Bow unit with Pursuer with a Valla based outfit in reference to Mikoto.

  8. I have admittedly spent more money on the game than I probably should've in the past couple of years, which did bolster the off-focus pulls for some of them. Not really fussed on pulling for most units now, only really decided to merge up Mareeta mid-January as I had a bunch of copies just sitting in reserve and I never really pay attention to the units I throw in there, even if they were thrown in cause they had nice fodder. I am aiming to try and save present/Chain Challenge orbs for CYL cause I do want to try and +10 either Gullveig or Corrin depending on their skill set. Hopefully Corrin isn't another Dragon.

Another +10 done, this time being my first +10 Ascended. Got lucky and obtained about 5 copies on Ascended Mareeta's debut banner and decided to wait to see who I could fodder off Vital Astra to. Then got enough copies to +7, so just decided to merge. Then the new Hero's Fest banner came out and after getting 2 more copies from the tickets decided to keep pulling until I got the final copy. Now to wait and see if we ever get a Distant Counter seal for sword units, cause Finish skills are nice to have.

  10. Spoiler

Two new +10s finished, being Female Corrin and Summmer Elincia. And with these two Blue is kow the colour I have merged up the most with 19, beating out Red which I have 18 +10s of. Now to decide who to build next. I am planning on building Lumera though with the rate I am doing Aether Raids that is going to be a while. Could actually finish merging up Valentines Alfonse, as I've had him sitting a +4 with 5 manuals and a +Atk 4* copy sitting there since his release.

  11. 3Jox9NC.jpeg

Weekly banners were changed giving me the last merge for my 2nd unplanned +10 after Hinoka, nownwill Linde, Sigurd or Mia be my next unplanned +10. About 50 Grails off getting Summer Elincia to +10 mainly due to having ignores Aether Raids for a while.

In games, would you rather use a character you really like and are okay with or one you don't like much and are great with?

(like as in enjoy, and like as in like the character/design)

Don't really play many games where play style matters more to me compared to how much I like a character so generally, I prefer using characters I really enjoy, though generally play each character at least once to see which ones I feel more comfortable playing as.

Don't really have recent examples, since it has pretty much been Pokémon Nuzlockes, where I don't really get a choice, or games with fixed characters. So going back a few years, when I last played Cyberdimension Neptunia I generally played Uni as her playstyle fit better with me compared to Nepgear who is my favourite Neptunia character. Though in the case of games like Mass Effect, I'll generally just have Garrus and Tali as team members since they are the characters I like best from the crew.

  13. Another couple would also be High Tide - Moona Hoshinova and A New Start - Nanashi Mumei. 2022 was basically me listening to Vtubers, which if I wouldn't really have thought I would've.

If we count songs I only began listening to in 2022 but were released earlier then Stellar Stellar - Hoshimachi Suisei and Palette - Tokoyami Towa. Though to be perfectly honest most of my Palette listens have technically been this cover by Vesperbell Yomi.

Another +10 merged up. Now all I need is a colourless dagger unit I can build purely for damage and I can have a remarkably eh dagger team. Sothe for buffing/debuffing, Kagero for splash damage, and Tethys for dancing.

On another note, the latest update to Arena may actual get me to do it every week as getting a free 4* Special rate Hero is useful. Especially as I have a +9 Linde and Mia from pity pulls.

Haven't been playing that much recently, but fully merged Adult Tiki sometime last month, and also managed to get the final copy of Hinoka from a free pull thus completing an 5* I wasn't really trying to complete. Would've been completed a while ago if it weren't for the fact that Hone Fliers is for some reason 5* locked.

  16. CYL 6 FEH Channel.

    Anyway, thoughts:

    Spoiler

Artwise I find all of them kinda boring mainly due to what they're inspied by. Byleth is just in Sothis Regalia, so like the CYL 4 batch just a design which already existed, when we could've had a design based more on either Jeralt or, despite the lack of official art, Sitri. I can see why they probably didn't pick Jeralt seeing as he is the GHB unit. Seliph is just dressed Sigurd, sure I may have had my hopes up for either a Deirdre or Arvis inspired outfit as a mage, like nearly all of Seliph's family can use magic in some shape or form. Deridre, Arvis, Julia, and Julius are all mages. Sigurd is the only one who doesn't. Adult Tiki finally gets a new alt, and they make it Young Tiki inspired because there apparently can't be a Tiki alt without it being Young Tiki. Could've had her based more on Naga, or even learn more towards Nagi as opposed to Young Tiki. Chrom's does seem the least boring, even if it is based on his Paladin model in Awakening.

Skill wise, Byleth is Fjorm but better as her Special is actually an offensive so can be properly used on the Player Phase, plus 75% damage reduction is better than the 51% Ascendant Fjorm gets. Combined with her weapon granting Time's Pulse and Special Spiral is just more insult to Fjorm. Her new skill being a Spd based Vantage is just more icing on the cake.

Seliph, despite my misgivings about him being another Sword unit, he at least has a different playstyle compared to his previous version as he is now geared towards Player Phase hit and run strategies to get the most out of his weapon and A-Skill, plus he still keeps the Miracle effect that base Tyrfing has. Clash skills seem fun, though Cav lines with L!Sigurd in Aether Raids will be a bigger pain now. His C-Skill swaps out Divine/Hallowed Tyrfing's follow-up effect for Null Follow-Up and gives +1 Mov because you need to show the power of Genealogy Cavs.

Tiki's kit is the one I find the most interesting. Her weapon obviously gives +5 to everything and an auto Follow-Up, but the pre-battle Special Acceleration + Deceleration on the opponent is more interesting. Finish skills are kinda interesting, the only draw back for the stat boost being the remarkably easy "within 3 spaces" is barely a condition for the same stats as Push/Solo skills, and the +5 damage for Specials and healing after combat are just extra bonuses. Her B-skill is just making it seem like Tiki wants to be an Armour unit, cause combined with her weapon, she gets an auto Follow-up while blocking her opponents, manipulates Special cooldown, and also gets damage reduction like nearly all new premium Armours are getting.

Chrom is kinda interesting with his weapon, and trying to build a team whose goal is to grant the most buffs to Chrom seems fun. Chrom's kit alone get's him 2 Bonuses and 1 Penalty for a +8 spectrum buff. Being a snazzy Chrom alt he of course gets a unique Support skill swapping the +6 Atk buff of To Change Fate! to a copy ally bonuses on the Target to Chrom and any Pair-Up unit. Inf Spd Tactics is also a nice support skill.
