    Episode 1: The Grand Order

    Theme Song

Saber… masters of swords whose own legends often surpass beyond they who wield them.

Lancer… wielders of spears, lances, any and all weapons that provide the extra reach that make striking them down all but impossible.

Archer… the true masters of the long-range weaponry who possess such incredible strength of will that they virtually become their own masters.

Rider… they who've mastered their mounts to such a degree that even upon their own feet they are a passing blur to untrained eyes.

Caster… magicians, sorcerers, witches, and warlocks, they are the artisans of the magical arts, purveyors of spells and enchantments long lost to modern time and its scientific convention.

Assassin… the shadow walkers who move silent and unseen by their victims until their blades are buried to the hilt in their heart.

Berserker… the mad dogs of war whose sheer physical might is rivaled only by their inhuman madness…

Avenger… they whose lives were spent in the name of vengeance, be it for themselves or others…

Ruler… they whom sat upon their thrones and pedestals as the people below looked up to them to follow their every word, their every command, those who inspire faith, who inspire loyalty, who are led as much as they lead.

Each class unique, each suited for battle, each ready to save the world...

    9:30 AM, Chaldean Command Room

Chaldea was in a buzz, making sure everything was up and running. They couldn't afford mistakes today, not when it was finally time. Standing in the center of the room, right in front of the blue globe was one Kirschtaria Wodime, his presence was like a shot in the arm to every other worker in the room. After ensuring that the globe was indeed working as intended, the man walked over back towards the entrance of the room, looking for one person in particular. She didn't seem to be in this room, which could only mean...

The Director walked out of the room, walking down the white halls until he came to the lab. Respectably and gracefully, he knocked on the door before calling out. "Aino, today's the day. Make sure you are dressed in proper uniform before coming to the entrance. The others will be here in thirty minutes, and we'll need to greet them," with that, he felt, headed right to the entrance of Chaldea, watching the falling snow as he waited for the helicopters to arrive.

    10 AM, Unknown location

Over a snowy land, four helicopters flew, each headed to the same destination, despite coming form many different places on Earth. Before each person could board their helicopter, they were blindfolded, and while given a choice of music to listen to, were not given much else in terms of entertainment. However, as the helicopters neared Chaldea, their blindfolds were taken off...

With Souta Aozaki, as soon as the blindfold came off, he could see a woman that looked to be in her twenties sitting across from him, a book on her lap. "We're getting close to Chaldea," She informed him. "The Director seems eager to meet you, and to that end, has arranged this catalyst for you," She handed him the book, one that was obviously old and well read, the words "A Study in Scarlet" nearly faded from the cover. "Mr. Wodime himself gave this catalyst, so be sure to take care of it," She said with a smile.

With Adonis Daiwe, the undoing of his blindfold revealed an old Israelian man, a briefcase siting next to the suited man. With a heavy sigh, the old man picked up the suit case, pressing his finger against some sort of scanner. After his finger was scanned, the suitcase opened with a heavy hiss, revealing a piece of a stone tablet on it. There seemed to be some sort of marking on it, but the tablet piece was so small, there was no way the marking was an entire symbol. "This is a priceless treasure of our people," He explained solemnly. "It took almost three hundred years to find, and frankly, if it wasn't for Chaldea and its immense resources, there would be no way the Israel government would hand this over. Be very sure to take good care of it," He carefully picked up the stone tablet and handed it over to Adonis, closing the case soon after.

Maita Masahiko was greeted with the sight of a short man with red hair. "Alright, 'ere's de deal," The man said as he flipped a golden ring into the air, it landing on Maita's lap. "Dis 'ere is a ring dat was owned by de great Iresh 'ero, Cu Chulainn. Wit any loehck, dat's who'll you'll get. We'd 'ave gahtten you de earrengs dat were used last time to soehmmahn 'im, but dat twet Bazzet lost dem, alahng wit 'er life. Be sure naht to lose dese, we'd like to soehmmahn 'im in ahther holy grail wars," He shrugged as he leaned back. "We dahn't know what class you'll get, I guess hope fahr Lancer,"

And finally, Genevieve Mireille had what looked like a talent agent sitting across from her, a small smile on their face. On their lap was a small case designed to hold glasses, but when it was opened, all there was inside was a monocle. "This monocle looks very ordinary, but believe me when I say it's anything but," The agent explained as they carefully handed it over to Genny. "It took a lot for us to get our hands on this. As it turns out, stealing form a family of thieves isn't easy," With a chuckle they looked out the window. "Oh... we're here,"

As the helicopters landed and shut their engines off, they were greeted by Wodime standing outside, unperturbed by the snow and the wind the helicopters created. He gently dusted off some snow from his shoulder as they all approached him, a large smile on the man's face. "Welcome everyone, to Chaldea!" He threw his arms out wide as he said this in a grand tone. "Today marks the day where we take our first steps to protect the Human Order. Are you ready to take that journey with us?" Without waiting for an answer, he turned around, slipping past Aino and headed into the building, obviously expecting the others to follow.

"Now, we do have uniforms for you all, however, there is something I'm sure you all would rather do first," He said as he traveled down the white halls. "After all, one of the most exciting parts of saving the world is meeting the hero you'll do it with, right?" He stopped in front of two large black doors, waiting for the others to catch up. "From this moment on, your very lives will change. If any of you have any second thoughts, now is the time to back down," He paused before he looked to Aino. "Except you Aino, you have to stay," He then reached over and pushed opened the door, revealing a sort of waiting room. There were a few chairs and a large viewing window next to a door that lead to the room beyond, where there was another room, one completely empty expect for a singular circular table.

Sitting in one of the chairs was a handsome man with white hair wearing a lab coat. Seeing the group enter, he stood up, straightening his jacket. "Director, I assume it's time?" he asked, his voice tinged with a German accent.

"Indeed it is, Albert!" Wodime confirmed as he walked over to stand by him. "Why don't you explain to our new members what exactly how they'll summon their Servants?" With a nod, the white haired man approached the other and gave a polite bow.

"Greetings everyone, my name is Albert Einstein, but you can call me Albert, if you wish," He greeted, as he turned to the window. "That room is our Summoning Chamber, and in it lies perhaps our most valuable artifact. It's a table of Arthurian fame, the Round Table, a place where heroes gather. Using it and your catalysts, we will call your servants into the world. Now, we have to do this one at a time, so what you'll do is walk into the room, and place your catalyst on the table. Then, you place your hand on the edges on the able, and let your magic flow into the the table, and then... call out!" He pumped a fist before continuing. "Be it a chant, a cry for help, or just a command, if you lay all your convictions into your words and reach out, a hero will answer you!"

As he was explaining this, Wodime walked over to Aino, handing her a teacup filled with warm tea. "Be careful not to spill it. I'm sure your Heroic Spirit will enjoy it once they're summoned," After this he walked up to join Albert and turned to address the others. "And there you have it! Your destiny now awaits for you! Who will step up first?"

    Spoiler

So, here we are, in the first post of Fate/Chrono Break. To everyone reading, thank you for waiting, I hope we all have a great time. To my RPers, for your opening posts, feel free to dive into how your character spent the morning, their thoughts on the current situation, and the actual summoning of your servant. In each of the data sheets I shared with you, I have added a small section for the summoning itself so you have something to work with. Feel free to make tweaks to it, but please try not to change what the servants say, these small glimpses into their personalities are important!

With that, have fun! I will make the next deadline either when everyone has posted, or Nov. 22nd of this month. Let's go!

  2. Beginning start up sequence...

A hum was heard deep within the ruined amusement park that was Old Eggland. Hidden among the ruins was a single pod containing a sleek  blue robot. It lit up as the pod opened and wires anchoring the unit inside began to loosen their grip.

    Y.

    Commence full cleanup cycle Y/N?

    Y.

Full defragmentation and cleanup cycles commenced. Estimated time until completion: 10 minutes.

As part of the defragmentation process, Chimera's memories began to play in front of him, checking to see if any files were corrupted or if they were missing. And so, it played back the first memory in his banks...

Laying on a table, Chimera looked down at his half built torso, seeing a old egg shaped man quietly working on the body. No words were said, as the robot didn't even know what to say to him, and his creator was too busy focusing on construction. After a few minutes though, Eggman reached up and patted the metal head of Chimera in an affectionate sort of way. "You'll soon walk... my greatest creation, and you will lead the others to a grand world of robots...,"

After 10 minutes, the pod finally opened, letting the robot take its first step. His audio functions came online before his visual ones, and the first thing he noticed that it was so... quiet. The last time he was active, the city was, ironically enough, alive. Robots would be running around, preforming duties or any orders the Doctor had, Metal Sonic would probably be sulking in the corner with Tails Doll clinging at its leg. Orbot and Cubot would be doing something stupid with Mecha Knuckles egging them on or even joining in... It was only a few years after the Doctor's death, did the city fall apart that fast? There was only one way to quickly get some sort of information as things was.

Attempting to connect to the EggNet...

    ...

    ...

    Attempt failed. EggNet down...

The EggNet was down? How? Did Tails discover it and shut it down? No... that was impossible. Sonic and his friends didn't even know it existed. Still, he wasn't getting information that way. He attempted to reach out to the communication network all Eggman robots had, something they nicknamed 'The Ensemble'.

An odd phenomenon that happened was that when two Eggman units were on the network at the same time, a thrum of logic and harmony began to wash over it. It wasn't music, wasn't audible, but it felt that way in the rhythm and harmony. With all the robots Eggman had built over the years, many different 'songs' played over the Ensemble, each one distinct, but somehow all blending together like an orchestra for the mind.

However, when he reached out, it was dead silent. The robot stayed on the network for a few minutes, letting his signal flow out, letting others know that MS-11 Chimera was online and functional. No one answered, not even MS-02 Metal Sonic telling him to shut up like what would normally happened if someone did the equivalent of shouting out into the Ensemble.

His visual systems had now begun to function. All he could see was ruins. The city... it was run down... almost ruins... what happened? He needed answers and he needed them now. He used his scanners, trying to find something, anything! He began to walk around the city, scanning things while lifting up rubble, hoping to find any robot, or even parts of the robots. He could rebuild them if he found parts...

He refused to believe he was alone or abandoned. He refused to believe everyone was destroyed, there was no way anyone could overpower the entire might of the Eggman army, not even Sonic could do it easily. And yet... he looked to the sky, worry gripping his systems. Did they perhaps move on to a new base? He didn't know, and he needed the answers.

  3. "Sounds to me like you're one of them vigilante types."  Juryo said, swinging his elbow back to look at the card table.  "That's some conviction you got there...probably what ended you up in here, am I right?"

"Got in one," Hane admitted with a shrug. "Was only active as the Bouncer for about a year before I let myself get caught. It was either that or they catch my whole group,"

"I'd say yes, but you'll have to teach me how to. Never played it."

"Sweeeeeeeet~," Hane said in a sing song voice before taking the crown off and placing it in the middle of the table. "Don't worry, the game's easy to play. Basically, you take a deck, and take out one joker. You then deal it to every player, and we take turns taking cards from other people trying to match cards. The one left with the joker, or the 'old maid', loses," He sat, waiting patiently to be dealt in, before Kiburi decided to blindside him with some depressing stuff.

"Getting sent here is cursed luck to begin with," Kiburi sighed, pulling the extra joker out of the deck before resuming her shuffling. "We're the rejects of the world, and lady luck sent us here to piss on us even more. Or something like that. You'd think whoever's in charge would have started caring about us sooner, but I guess they wanted to pick an inconvenient time to suddenly force us halfway across the country. Or however far you lot are from."

"Hey, hey, c'mon Kiburi, turn that frown upside down," Hane smiled at her. "Sure, it ain't the best of places nor the best of timings, but if it weren't for this place, I'd never have met you. I'd just be wasting away in some prison in America for the horrible crime of helping people," And just when he lightened the mood, it came crashing down all over again.

"Alright Ice Queen, you want to go that route? Fine..." Keika said with quite a stern face.

"Um, maybe you guys should calm down som---,"

"You think just cause you lost the chance at U.A. means you can't actually fight to save your own life in a do or die situation, if that's the case then you should've just not come." The youth immediately began to roll his sleeves up, showing off quite a bit of old scarring that was on his skin. "Do you see these? These are from my damn Quirk. And this damn Quirk of mine basically ruins my own body if I keep it active for too long and my obsidian granite armor chips. And you remember what I said with it before? Under the surface I have magma... I'm a literal volcano!" he shouted, his fists balling up.

"...I lost my chance at U.A. the day I was born...the day I GOT a Quirk." Keika continued. "...you wanna know how? I had Quirkless parents who saw me and this damn power of mine as a curse...they abused me and put me down way farther than I ever thought...and guess what, I pushed back. I defended myself with my 'curse'...and newsflash, I still have lava flowing underneath...so take a wild guess on what the hell happened!" He shouted."...y'all know now...congrats...made the literal volcano blow his top and explode that piece of trivia...great fuckin' job. Honestly, I could give two flying fucks on why you hate your Quirk, Ice Queen...but between you and me, I think I have more of a reason. ...moment you get done playin' games...maybe you'll actually be able to help in that situation." With that, Keika stormed away, flipping them all off.

"That's a pretty hardcore origin story," Hane muttered after Keika left, his joking tone missing. His mind began to race. Everyone here needed help one way or another, now he just needed to figure out how to help them....

    Height: 5'0 ft (152.4 cm)

    Weight: 276 lbs (125.2 kg)

    Personality

    Spoiler

Unlike many of Eggman's other robots, Chimera has completely free will... something he's not exactly sure how to use. He has a keen sense of sarcasm at his disposal and a dry sense of humor, bordering on that of dry remarks.

Despite the fact that Chimera will fight for the greater good, he still takes pleasure utilizing destructive methods and fighting with powerful opponents (even if they're his allies). He even gets giddy over the prospect of destroying something with excessive force and will shoot at just about anything if given the permission.

He occasionally has moments where he ponders on what his purpose now is. After all, he was built to kill people who where now dead. He does this when he's alone though, preferring not to show anything that looks like weakness.

    Biography

    Spoiler

Chimera was the last robot Eggman ever made before dying to old age. His mission was to wait for several years until Sonic and his friends were lulled into a sense of security before activating and killing off Sonic and his friends.

However, due to an error in the programming, Chimera was offline for over 200 years. When he came online, he found the mighty city now in ruins and his targets long dead. He now wanders the world, looking for a purpose.

    Abilities/Weaponry

    Spoiler

Advanced Weaponry:  His armory consists of rapid-fire machine guns, flamethrowers, lasers blasters and missile launchers, and electric knees.

Scanners: Chimera can use radio waves to talk with other Eggman robots and has sensors that allow him to detect energy signatures in various objects, areas, and beings, and even lets him analyze biological chances in other beings.

Somewhat above average but not too much Speed: He can move somewhat fast.

Above Average Strength: He is strong, weaker than an Echidna, but stronger than an average Mobian.

Limited Flight: He can fly, but it's limited. Rocket thrusters, yo.

Black Shield: He creates an energy field that protects him from any harm. However, he can not move when he does this.

    Rules

    Spoiler

First and foremost, all NCM and RP section rules apply. That means no powerplaying, godmodding, etc. You know, obvious things that you should not do because you’re a decent human being. Also, super important, DON'T BE AN ASSHOLE.
I have final say. I am the law. However, I can be lenient if you are calm and explain yourself well. If you do not post within several days from when you are needed to post, I reserve the right to move your character. If you do not post for two weeks, then I reserve the right to write out your character. However, I can extend the timeline if you have a valid reason, but you have to tell me.
This is PG-16 to allow all kind of things to happen. Death happens, bad things happen, good things happen, stuff happens. Circle of Life, Circle of Death.

    Plot

    Spoiler

The year is 2020, and the world is in panic. A global pandemic has swept the world, while fires consume countries whole. Meanwhile, a plague of murderous hornets threatened to overtake the United States, and an entire city was engulfed in an explosion. However, this not what the world of magic was worried about.

For many years, the world of magic hid from the mundane in plain sight, ignoring the plights of the world in order to protect the secrets of magic and protect people from the darker side of the magical world. In order to help in these goals, they created the Chaldea Security Organization, which watches over the entire world's future to ensure humanity does not go extinct, and protects the past from being tampered with.

You have been handpicked by the Director of Chaldea to be a member of the A-Team, where you will be tasked with protecting the world. To help you do this, you are allowed one precious catalyst to help you summon a familiar that will fight with you and be your partner. Choose wisely....

    Magic

    Spoiler

Magic in this universe is a finite resource, pulled out of a metaphysical pool of mana, and the more people that tap into it, the weaker everyone's individual magic is. In order to prevent magic from getting too weak, it is kept a secret from the world at large. Most mage families in this world specialize in a type of magic, and will pass down the knowledge of their magic to only their families. It is a family's most treasured possession, and they will not allow outsiders to get an inside look at their magic.

Most families have hundreds of years of research and connections, but it is possible nowadays for a person with no magic lineage to spontaneously develop an affinity for magic. Some people are better inclined to magic than others, but not being well inclined does not mean you can not be a good mage.

Familiars are common in magic families, but the ability to summon high tier familiars is actually very rare and somewhat spontaneous. One of the major reasons you are selected for the A-Team is because you have a high affinity for these high tier familiars.

    Chaldea Security Organization

    Spoiler

Chaldea is an international, UN-sanctioned operation; a laboratory-observatory that recruits talented scientists and mages for the purpose of observing both the magical and scientific aspects of the world. They have a single goal: "to preserve the reign of the Human Order, above all else." In another words, they are here to make sure humanity does not go extinct. To help in this goal, they have built a way to observe the time stream, to confirm that humanity will exist in the future, and to look for anomalies in the past. They also have developed a way to time travel, to correct said anomalies.

    Clock Tower

    Spoiler

Located under the British Museum, this is the largest organization of Mages in the world. Chaldea is a subdivision of the Clock Tower, and was built with their help. There is a school here where people can learn to use their magic better, and because it is the biggest organization, most Mages get their formal training here.

    The Director

    Spoiler

    V3LkTCg.jpg

Wodime Kirschtaria is a powerful and high ranking mage in the world of magic, so much so he was named the heir of a different family's magic. He currently works as the Director of Chaldea, using his connections and intimidating presence to make sure Chaldea is still running.

    The Head Advisor

    Spoiler

    gUQh1vd.jpg

Albert is the textbook example of an eccentric genius. However, he doesn't look down on people, even with the habit of reminding people that he is a genius. He keeps the whole operation running, and is actually the reason why the time travel is even possible in the first place.

    The Doctor

    Spoiler

    PkBZiSJ.png

John is a doctor handpicked by Wodime to help out with Chaldea. While he is knowledgeable in secular magic, he is also well versed in herbs, and has healing magic. He's also the group's therapist

  6. The two brothers listened, unsure what to do. The creator of the world itself was offering them a wish. What could they wish for? Power beyond imagining? No, that felt wrong. They made it this far on their own strength, they could continue to grow even stronger. Overwhelming riches? No, they didn't want money.

At the end of the day, Denku at the very least knew what he wanted. Taking a step forward, Denku made himself know.

"Can you heal my heart disease?" the older brother asked. "I mean, it might be possible Xerenas already healed it, but I don't know for sure, and I rather not risk passing up a chance to be rid of this damned disease forever," Arceus looked at him and nodded to Denku's utter relief. It seemed he didn't have to worry anymore about it. The older brother turned to the younger brother, tilting his head and waiting to see what Kazo would wish for.

The Gabite didn't say anything at first, his mind whirling with ideas. In the end though, he really only wanted one thing, a single wish that could never be granted... he wanted to have a race with Latios. But Latios was gone now, and the dead wouldn't rise again. Nothing else really came into his head. "I... I guess I'll pass on that wish," Kazo said sheepishly with a shrug. "Everyone else made the wish I would, and... the only thing left can't be granted," He smiled though. "But, just seeing the world go on and seeing it become better is reward enough for me," Was Kazo an idiot for passing this once in a lifetime opportunity?

    Probably.

    The Years Pass By

After saving the world, the two brothers did many more things, perhaps not worthy of legend, but grueling to them nevertheless. The two of them joined Randy in wrestling, becoming a popular tag team for several years. They had grueling training and hellish fights, but it was exciting to them, and they were together. After five years however, the two retired, and they went their separate ways.

Denku, using his savings he gained from his winnings, had moved back to Juyu and opened an orphanage, where he took in many kids and helped them find new homes. Meanwhile, Kazo went to train even more, to become stronger, to become faster, to become better than he ever was before, and eventually, became a Disciple of Ideals himself.

    Ten years later

Denku took a large sip of his drink to hide the smirk on his face. He was now a Tyranitar, with a big and sturdy body that was nearly a mountain, yet every kid in the orphanage was climbing all over Kazo, who desperately just wanted to get a drink of the hot chocolate Denku's wife gave him. While Denku hit a major growth spurt and his hair changed to a healthier shade of green, these changes seemed minuscule compared to how Kazo changed.

The now Garchomp was even taller than he was before, and unlike his old scrawny self, the Garchomp had some muscle on him. The most drastic change on him however, was that his hair had partially turned white, apparently due to a mistake during his training under Zekrom. The kids seemed to think it was cool though, so Kazo didn't care too much.

"Uncle Kazo, tell us another story!" a Joltik clinging to the dragon's arm begged.

"Yeah, yeah! Come on, tell us!" A Totodile on his shoulder added. "It's been a whooooooooole month!"

"Hey, hey, I'm runnin' outta stories here, you know?" Kazo joked. "I don't go around doing amazing things 24/7,"

"The most amazing thing you could do right now is get a girlfriend," Denku teased, not even reacting to the dirty look Kazo shot him.

"Uncle Kaz doesn't have time for things like that!" The Totodile claimed. "He's too busy being a super hero!"

"Oh, but what if Kazo had a partner to help him with the superhero-ing?" Denku asked. "Maybe someone like... I dunno, Latias?"

"I should have never told you about that kiss," Kazo groaned. "That happened a long time ago... and... well... you know, I don't... well, I don't...,"

"Kaz," Denku sighed before looking at him. "You need to stop beating yourself up. Latios's death wasn't---,"

"Wasn't my fault, I know, I know, that's what everyone tells me," Kazo muttered. The two kids, sensing their uncle's discomfort, let go of his arms and wandered into a different room. With a sigh, Kazo picked up his cup of hot chocolate and took a sip. "Look... I just... it probably wouldn't work anyways, okay? Legend and all," Denku nodded as he took another drink, a thoughtful look on his face.

"... Zygarde," He said simply as Kazo took another sip, causing the dragon to spittake, a bright blush on his face.

"I JUST SAID THAT LEGENDS AND----,"

"You should of wished for some courage with women back when we saved Arceus," Denku interrupted with a smirked, causing Kazo to scowl.

"Nope, nope, nope. I can't, I just can't, I'm out," Kazo said as he stood up. "Later kids!" Kazo yelled into the house. "Uncle Kazo's heading out!" Grabbing the tip of an invisible hat, he moonwalked away, heading out the door and heading outside.

Kazo sighed to himself as he ran, the world just a blur around him as he moved. After all his training, he could run much faster and for much longer, letting him travel across the continent in a record breaking time. His current plan right now was to check in with Weynon first and figure out the rest of his week from there. He was coming up to the city of Oasis when he decided to slow down. He wasn't expecting to see Mac here or anything, but he could check in on her folks for her for the next time they met. As he slowed down however, he noticed a band of bandits attacking what looked like a group of two or three families.

"Well... that won't do," Kazo thought as thunder rumbled in the distance. He walked forward with purpose, cracking his knuckles as he approached one of the bandits, grabbing the man's head and tossing him to the side as easily as one would throw away garbage. The taunting and jeering the bandits were doing to intimidate the families died down as everyone realized what had happened, all eyes landing on the Disciple of Zekrom.

"Oy, who the hell are you?" One of the bandits snapped, causing Kazo to smirk.

"I get called a lotta things, but right now, I'm feeling like... I'm the storm that's approaching," Kazo felt pretty good about that one, especially as thunder rumbled just as he finished his sentence. Even Zekrom would have to think that was badass, right? Each bandit began to move towards Kaz, but faster than they could blink, they felt Kazo's fist bury into their guts, causing them all to fall to the ground in less than a second. "Heh, not even using any attacks. You wanna just leave now or make me use a Draco Meteor?" The bandits were quick to run.

Cowards. Still, that made it much easier. With a smile, he turned to the families. "Oasis isn't much farther, a ten minute walk at best! Safe travels!" Before he could run off however, someone called out to him.

"Wait!" Turning, Kazo could see it was a small Bagon that had called out, barely looking over eight years old. "Do... do you think that I could grow up to be a hero like you?" Hero. He hadn't been called that in awhile. It brought back some good memories of some old friends though.

"A hero, huh?" Kazo asked as he rubbed his chin playfully. He turned around, showing his back to the kid before looking over his shoulder. "Well, can you keep up with me?" The Bagon, to their credit, didn't back down, in fact, it seemed a fire was lit inside of them.

"I'll keep up with you! In fact, I'll surpass you!" They answered with the confidence of a Helioptile from days long past.

"Good answer," Was all Kazo said before he ran off, the dragon rushing to his next adventure.

    The Guardian and the Hero

    FIN

  7. The last few minutes were a wild blur to the two brothers. Not only had this giant group taken on the Godslayer that had destroyed Juyu, but they were taking on a man that had stolen a fragment of Arceus's power. The absolute craziest thing was that they were winning. It almost felt like a dream, but their exhausted bodies told them otherwise.

"I served! Anyone else wanna shot?" Randy laughed, causing the two to spring into action, Denku rushing ahead as Kazo dove into the ground, both prepping the final attacks.

To Strike Down a False God

Denku stopped underneath Kura, his fist pulsing with dark energy once more as he wound up, his knuckles scrapping against the ground as he threw a massive uppercut into Kura's spine, a blast of dark energy launching the villain higher into the air. As Kura fell back to the earth, Kazo burst out of the ground, smashing his head against the Houndoom once more, the two flying into the air.

"Alright Kazo, FINISH IT!!" Denku yelled as he held out a hand. Kazo gracefully flipped through the air, landing on Denku's outstretched hand. The rock type gritted his teeth as he spun around, charging the air in his elbow before he threw Kazo up, using the biggest blast of air he could muster to launch Kazo as hard as he could. The dragon flew through the air like a missile, rushing past Kura's side, the force of the flying dragon causing the Houndoom to spin through the air. When the spinning stopped, Kura found himself staring up at Kazo, who had his hands over his head, bright purple energy swirling above the two.

"Your new world isn't needed," Kazo stated. "Instead of being a coward and running away from the problems of this world, you should have used your power to help save those around you. If you can't do something so simple, you can't do something as great as creating a new world! That's why people like us, people that chase the light of a better tomorrow, will never lose to the likes of you!" With that, Kazo let out one final roar. "DRACO METEOR!" the tall dragon threw his hands down towards Kura, who could only watch as giant purple meteors of power rained from the sky, crashing into his body and forcing him down, the Houndoom crashing into the floor as the meteors exploded.

Kazo landed on the ground, panting and feeling like his body would tip over. But after all this time, they had done it... they had won... right?

  8. Inu sighed to himself as he rolled his shoulder. He should have known that they weren't going to the beach just to have a good time. Honestly, that was fine by him, just playing around would have been a waste of time. Still, this was a lot of garbage... like a lot. The smell was particularly bad, he had to just plug his nose shut in an vain attempt to keep the smell out. He didn't want to do this for long, and there was really only one fast way to go about this. With a sigh, he walked over to a place away from the others, and began to use his hands to scoop out handfuls of sand, making a small pit. It didn't take very long, and he went to his next task: grabbing small stones and seashells, placing them down in a circle around the pit itself.

With that done, he walked around the beach, looking for anything that looked flammable and not entirely dangerous to light on fire, throwing them into the pit he had made, doing his best to not smell anything he was carrying. This was the fastest and most efficient way he could think to clean this beach up. Soon, he had a small pile about as tall as he was, all placed into a small pile and looking ready to burn. He rubbed with hands together like he was warming them up on a cold winter night, before inhaling and letting out a breath of fire. However, right when he did, he felt a tentacle slap him on the wrist.

"So you think ashes are clean?" Anemonesan reprimanded. "It would probably be more harmful burnt than otherwise,"

"Seriously?" Inu asked as he rubbed his wrist before muttering. "Of fuckin' course," Of course what he thought was a good thing would only make things worse. He didn't think about the aftermath, just what was easiest at the moment. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Wasn't that exactly what he hated from other heroes? Still, this wasn't the end, he could fix this, he could be better... why was he smelling more smoke than usual?

The wolfman's eyes widened as he realized that despite being slapped and having his breath interrupted, some embers had escaped and lit the pile he made on fire, the flames small, but threatening to soon consume the whole pile.

"Shit, shit, shit," Inu cursed as he scooped up sand in his hand, throwing it into the fire in an attempt to put it out before it got too big, but some of the sand he threw flew into his own face. "Fuck fuck fuck!" He howled as he tried to rub the sand out of his eyes. It was official. This was the worst field trip he had ever been on.

Sun's mood from riding on the bus had fallen when he saw the state of the beach. He had a beach back home on his island, and he spent many days there playing in its waters or bathing in the sun. To see people had let this beach get so... filthy, it made the monkey man angry, but mostly just sad. Still, he would help clean this place up, and it would look like new!

The very first thing he did was take off his shirt. After all, from what he could gather, the beach was a place where people could less clothes than usual! In fact, there were beaches where he didn't have to wear clothes at all... but he could tell this wasn't the place to do that. Next came off his shoes. While that would be dangerous to a normal person, Sun had a brilliant idea. He used a pair of gloves and slipped them over his hand-like feet. Now he had three limbs to pick up garbage with instead of two!

And used them he did. Hopping on one foot to get around, Sun used his three limbs to pick up the trash and put it into his bag. He found some interesting things buried in the trash though, things like old toys and a few books. Some of the books really caught his attention though. One looked to be some novel about the romance of a giant gorilla and a human girl, which intrigued the monkey man. The cover even showed the gorilla climbing a tall tower for the human. The one that interested him the most however was a book called "Colors of a Hero". A quick flip through the book revealed that it seemed to be the autobiography of someone important, even if Sun didn't know who this "Gin" was. He placed those books in a separate bag, determined to keep them for himself.

However, despite how interesting all those were, he found something that caught his interest even more. It was a sort of vehicle, something he believed was called a pickup truck. The paint was completely rusted over, some parts were missing, the hood was completely gone, and the windows were cracked, but the most important thing was intact. It still had four wheels, even if they were flat. This was perfect!

He took his full bag of garbage, tossing it into the back of the truck, and then went running off, looking for some rope. After about five minutes of looking, he found a long enough piece of rope, one perfect for this idea. Going back to the truck, he tied the rope inside the hood tightly. After giving it a experimental tug, Sun pulled the rope, dragging the truck behind him. It took some effort, but he was able to do it.

Looking around, he saw that of his classmates, Ren and Ben, working on a huge mountain of garbage. With a grin, he tugged his truck over, stopping in front of the two.

"Hello, I am Sun!" Sun greeted as he waved to the two. "And this is my truck," He said as he slapped a hand on it. "It can fit so much garbage into itself. Do you wanna put the trash in the back, and I can drag it away?"

  9. "Ahh, while I don't wish to bother anyone, I think I'm in quite a lot of pain right now" he announced to anyone who would care. "Not terrifically, but I'm not certain I can actually walk yet. I'm going to try and move my arms, just to get them working again" Theodore Oswald Dreifus Shaw added as his whole torso trembled as he lifted his arms up. "Oh good, I can. Ha ha. So uhh, perhaps I could be filled in on what happened while I was out?"

"Well, I'm sorry, but I only appeared at the end," Omnimon Alter admitted. "So I don't have a clue," He turned to Mackenzie and Wormmon, somehow smiling a warm smile despite not having a visible mouth. "Perhaps these two could better fill you in. Honestly, I am very curious to. The fact you all survived for so long against such dangerous odds... well, you all were very brave and resourceful,"

To the ones that followed the sounds of a whistle, they'd find themselves lead across the rows of houses, headed to the houses on the westward side, far from the tracks, until they found a train. The train itself looked to be very damaged, absolutely covered in vines and branches in its wheels, and large spikes protruding out of the front end. To anyone who walked to the front end, they'd realize...

    This train had a face.

"H-huh? Hello?" The weak voice was heard again, coming from the train itself. One of the eyes moved, looking to the humans. "O-oh my, humans? Humans came to my aid? Oh, this is so embarrassing. I wish I wasn't so beaten up right now. This must be a horrible first impression...," the train muttered before clearing his throat. "Hello! My name is Locomon!" the train said in a cheerful voice, sounding like a flight attendant giving instructions about the flight. "I... well, I was attacked by a Pukumon, and well... was derailed. Please, if you could help me, I'd owe you a great deal. I'd take you anywhere you need to go!" It then let out a hiss of pain. "S-sorry, it just... it hurts a lot," it admitted.

  10. I sigh as we were summoned to the church, thinking to myself before changing myself into Caster's Master, so others wouldn't know what I looked like. It seemed another Master had a similar idea, as they were wearing a hoodie, mask, and sunglasses. Shit, someone that was smart. Still, as we sat and listened to the officiator, I took out my phone and snapped pictures of everyone in the room, and making extra sure to take a picture of the rogue servant and Master. An idea was forming in my head, one that was crazy, but would be enough to make up for the loss of Caster and Berserker.

After I took all the pictures, I texted my people, each one individually, sending them all the pictures with the message "We're missing one, but these are all the Masters you need to keep an eye out for. Let me know if you see any of them" I then sent another text to Hifumi, asking if I could crash at his place.

"I have several questions. Though, firstly, how was Avenger able to be summoned in the first place? Doesn't strike me as a very standard servant to be running around."

"I have one as well actually. How the hell did you summon a Ruler? In all my studies, you aren't supposed to get a Ruler class... ever," I added. "Trust me, as much as I like my servant Assassin, I woulda summoned a Ruler in a heartbeat," I look over to the Master that stated that they were setting a trap. Now that was a good idea...

I text Cordula a plan, doing my best to not grin as I finished it, making sure to listen to the answers to our questions as I did.

  11. "You're either very new in town, very bold, or very stupid. Explain yourself," she curtly opens up with. "Now." Even this early in the conversation, she signals for the men around her to fix their guns on you in case you try anything funny. "And drop the disguise."

"Okay, okay," I say as I raise my hands. "I'm just have to run my hands through my hair to drop the disguise, that's all. Nothin' funny here," I say as I run my hands through my hair, transforming back to normal. I thought about being a bit theatrical, but I could tell, this was not the time. "I am also all the above," I say. "As for my explanation, well, simply put, I just wanted to find you without causing a commotion and getting people hurt, and this was the only way I could think of. As for why I want to find you, well, I have a business proposition for you I think you may find interesting. Do you have a place we can talk where prying ears can't hear, or would you want to do business here and now,"

  12. "And this is what people have come to? Disgraceful. I'd tear down these wild thugs and make 'em thankful for it, but Heroic Spirits have rules against that. We'd best find someone that can point us in the right direction. Preferably sober... sober and sane,"

"Look, man, not everyone can be as cool as you," I commented with a shrug. "As for finding someone... well, it's not like I can just ask someone 'Hey, where can I find the Thunderheads?'. That's just a bad idea," I sigh as I look around. "Hey, Hifumi said they hate Mages, so maybe if we do some magic, we'll get their attention," I comment. "Would you be my lovely assistant to my magic show Archer?" I joke. "Anyways, I guess the best way to find them is to cause a small, but non-lethal panic,"

Nodding to myself I walk down the road, running my hands through my hair as I find a target. I make sure to take in the details of their face, their body shape, and everything committed to memory before I purposefully run into the person's side.

"Sorry, I'm sorry," I say as I turn around, making sure my disguise magic made me look like the person I rammed into. "I didn't mean to, I'm in a rush!" After making sure the person got a good look at my face, I kept walking, repeating this process a few times.

    Hopefully I'll get results.

  13. "I see... a fake Lancer?" I muttered. "Right, I'll look into it. I'll keep you all posted," I say in the phone golem before I check my messages. As I do though, an explosion rocks the air. I look down at the new message and shake my head.

"No, that was not me," I type back before thinking. "I'm doing something probably more stupid. I'll text ya back if I come back alive,"

I sigh as I get comfortable, not changing course. I had more important things to do than figure out what idiot started that.

    Catchy Theme

Inu took a deep breath as he woke up that morning. The place smelled like cigarettes and wet fur... not a smell people would enjoy, but it was a comforting one for him. He looked around the dingy apartment his family lived in, noticing the paint was still peeling off the walls. He couldn't believe that after ten years in this shithole, they were all moving out.

He headed to the kitchen, seeing his dad skillfully flipping pancakes despite the fact the wolfman only had one arm. "Oh, good morning son!" His dad smiled when he saw Inu, his tail wagging at the sight of his son in the UA uniform. "Today's the big day, ain't it?" He commented as he flipped the pan, the pancakes flying through the air.

"Yeah Pops," Inu confirmed as he jumped into the air, catching the pancake in his mouth. He chewed on his food, looking around. "Where's mom?" Inu asked after swallowing.

"Ah, you know, she's making sure the new place is safe, so we can move out after you leave," His dad explained. Inu sighed. He knew why they were doing this. If his family's past ever came out to the light, then there would be questions. Inu wouldn't be a liar if asked where his parents where, because he really wouldn't know. With a sigh, Inu grabbed his bag and a carton of cigarettes on the counter, ready to head out the door. Before he could, however, his dad stopped him. "Here, ya mom wanted ya to have this," he said, tossing Inu a cigar, who caught it in his hand. Looking at it, it had a logo that looked like a blazing dragon.

    "Wait, is this...?"

"Yeah, your mom said it's form your grandpa. Apparently he sent ya it for good luck," his dad replied, causing Inu to chuckle. Despite his grandpa being a old, hard boiled villain that hated everything heroes stood for, he had a soft spot for his grandkids, even the one breaking away from the family business to be a hero. The hero to be carefully slipped the cigar into a pocket in the backpack and headed out.

The second he stepped outside, he pulled a cigarette from his carton, pressing his finger against the tip, a small flame igniting from his finger lighting the cancer stick up. He sighed before taking a big puff of the cigarette. He'd better get his smoking in now, because he doubted the school would let him do it indoors. Most people he came across moved out of his way, leaving him a pretty clear path to school. Looking like a punk sure had its benefits.

It didn't take long for him to get to UA, where out in front was a man with a snazzy suit and a decently cool visor frowning disapprovingly at him. It was the cigarette, wasn't it? Well, if a cigarette was all it took to kill this guy, then maybe he shouldn't be teaching. Inu walked up to the man, his cigarette almost gone.

"Morning," he greeted, not removing the offending item from his mouth.

"Good morning Mr... Sasaki..? Wait, are you related to the hero Howl..?" The man had asked the one question that Inu hated more than anything. His teeth clenched around the cigarette, a growl escaping his lips.

"Does it matter if I'm related to that lap dog? This gonna affect my entrance or somethin'?" He barked, doing his best to not just blow up at the man in front of him.

"No, you're already in. Must be a sore subject? And no smoking inside."

"I dunno what the hell you're talking about. I'm really fucking calm. Haven't mentioned a damn thing about how much of a lap dog she is," Inu commented as he took a deep drag of the cigarette, turning around to blow it away from Glory. "Anyways, I promise I won't give the others lung cancer, lemme just finish it up out here,"

"You're really testing my patience, kid. But, while you finish that up, I'll ask: Why do you want to be a hero?"

Inu paused, gripping his cigarette before placing it into his mouth, swallowing it whole. "Why I wanna be a hero?" He repeated. "Because a world where the villains win is a fucking scary one. I ain't gonna let that happen, not while I got the power to stop it. Simple as that,"

"That's a motivation I can get behind. And... I read your file, Inu. I wanted to apologise that Starkiller had ever happened."

Inu turned around, looking Glory up and down. He didn't seem old enough to have to apologize, but it was probably just one of those empty apologies any hero that found out always gave. So, he'd give him the same answer.

"Don't worry about it," Inu answered. "Just make sure it doesn't happen again," with that, he headed into the school. It wasn't hard to find his classroom, but what was hard was seeing his fellow classmates. They were either fucking idiots, grinning like this was just some preschool field trip, or looking so disinterested that he wondered how they even got into the class in the first place. "Figures I'm put in the classroom with the fucking duds," Inu muttered as he grabbed a toothpick out of his bag, placing it in his mouth and chewing on it.

He silently walked past everyone else, ignoring everyone else, headed straight for the empty seat in the back corner. He sat down, dropping his bag next to the seat as he straightened out his desk. He then reached into his bag, pulling out his notebook and pencils, placing them on his desk, waiting for the teacher.

    sun.jpg

    King of the Jungle

The sun was up and so was Sun. Today... today held the greatest challenges the monkey king had ever face. All his time in the jungle never prepared him for this.

He had to wear a shirt for an entire day.

Even worse, he had to walk upright so he could blend in with the others. He had no clue how he would do this, but he would rise to the challenge. He slipped into the uncomfortable clothes and headed out, ready to face his destiny. He walked to school, trying not to shove people, just like he was taught, and he even managed to resist the urge to climb the strange trees with the silver vines, even though that would help him get to school faster. So far, so good. Still, his shirt felt... wrong, and it took all his willpower to just not rip it off right then and there.

It didn't take long before Sun saw that building that he had been to just last week, a shining monument to the civilization he had been missing all his life. Sun looked around the place, his eyes filled with child like wonder, quickly forgetting about the shirt. He quietly approached the wall surrounding UA. Was he supposed to climb over it to get to this 'school?' No, no, that doesn't seem right.

So instead, he began to walk around the school a little aimlessly, trying to find his way in.

    "Sun?"

Sun quickly looked around, looking for who said that. "Yes, that is me, I am Sun," he finally spotted Glory, and, while proudly resisting the urge to rush over on all fours, ran over to the principal. "Yes, hello, I am Sun," he said, introducing himself again.

"I... See...  Well, uh, you did well in the entrance exam. I see you adapt well to adversity."

Sun began to scratch his chest, thinking to himself. "I do? That's good. Maybe that'll help me with everyone else," he sighed. "I'm really nervous. This is my first time in school," he admitted.

"Well, I'm sure you'll do better than my first day. Just make sure to avoid flying drinks."

"Drinks can... Fly? Civilization is full of surprises," Sun mused, nodding his head like he understood.

"Quirked society is what's full of surprises. So, Sun, why are you here?"

Sun smiled. "I wanna learn a lot about the world!" He paused as he stroked his chin. "And... I learned about heroes and... I liked it. I liked the idea of protecting others,"

"I'm glad. You'll have plenty to learn here. You can head in now. Do you remember your way from your tour last week?"

Sun nodded, waving at Glory before heading inside. He did actually remember where to go, and it didn't take long for him to arrive at the 'classroom'. He paused as he got to the door, taking a deep breath. He couldn't chicken out, it was time to face the future. He slowly opened the door, and the first thing he noticed was there was some sort of smell in the air... it smelled like... food...

Forgetting about his first impressions, he got on all fours, slowly and quietly creeping over to the source of the smell. On the teacher's desk was some food... his eyes darted around the room. It seemed no one else was coming after the food... so he quickly scooped up the monakas in his hands, shoving them into his mouth, leaving none behind. After quickly chewing his food, he looked around, this time taking a good look at all the people in the class room. They all looked so different from each other, all in very noticeable ways, much different then what he was used to. They all smelled very different to.

There was one however that was super different. His face was covered in red, and he had very sharp teeth. Quietly, Sun approached the boy, very much invading the boy's personal space as he looked over him, the monkey man placing a hand on his own chin as he thought. Was this guy human? Maybe he was one of those metal people he had heard of from the researchers. "Are you... one of those... ro-butts?" Sun asked innocently as he looked over Yasha.

    Spoiler

Inu is a rough sort, willing to fight at the slightest provocation or hint of an insult. He's not afraid to speak his mind or to be rude, and is very crass with his word choice. His temper is short and as hot as the flames he wields, and one of the quickest ways to set it off is comparing him to a dog.

Despite all this though, if someone was to force their way through his rough exterior and befriend him, they'd realized they'd have a very loyal friend, one much like a dog he hates being compared to. Genuine praise also throws him off balance, as he's not used to getting that.

He hates being compared to his cousin Sayuri, and especially hates it when people suggest using her as a connection to the hero world. Frankly, he doesn't like her that much. He sees her as being half hearted, probably due to being, in his opinion, very pampered. He especially hates the idea that she's the lapdog of the 'number one hero', and doesn't want to end up like her.

He has a soft spot for kids, to the point he tries to clean up his act when there are young kids around, as the last thing he wants is for them to mimic what he does. He'll even let dog comments slide if they come from a young enough kid.

    Biography

    Spoiler

Inu's childhood was one full of contradictions. His father, despite having a quirk and having a superhero brother, wasn't exactly a paragon of justice, although he believed in doing what was right. His mother, on the other hand, was a full blown villain. Despite this, his parents rarely fought, something they should have been doing a lot of. They apparently loved each other and was determined to make the other come to their side of the moral spectrum.

Or perhaps his dad was just too much of a pushover, even today he didn't know.

However, one fateful day, when Inu was barely five, his mom made the family move to a 'safe haven'. A place where villains could be safe from the 'oppression of hero society', a place where his mom didn't have to hide, where his mom and dad could express their love without judgement... A place called Starkiller. At first, it was awful there, since it was very much a lawless place, where a person's strength mattered the most, where anyone who was strong enough could do whatever they wanted.

    He hated it.

What a lot of people living in the city seemed to not realize was that villains running a place was, in his own words, "really fucking scary,". While some villains might have had some sort of weird moral code, there were many that thought nothing of hurting everyone around them, including children. Despite the claims life would get better, it seemed to only get worse, and his mom still had to hide from those with more power. Finally, things came to a head when a villain had tore off one of his father's arm for no other reason than it amused him.

That's when his mom decided to give up on villainy. The three snuck out of the city a few days later, going into hiding. After witnessing his father going through something so life changing, he decided then and there he wouldn't be a villain. No, he would be a hero, and not let another Starkiller come once more. He worked hard and trained, never letting the fact that his mother's half of the family were villains drag him down, until he managed to get his way into UA.

    Quirk

    Spoiler

Hellhound: This quirk gives Inu numerous wolf-like characteristics, most immediately noticeable being the pair of wolf ears that protrude from his head, with no human ears in sight. These ears can hear much better than regular ears, and are also capable of hearing frequencies human ears can't pick up. However, because they're so sharp, Inu is sensitive to sudden loud noises, and high frequencies can cause headaches.

Besides this, he has the great sense of smell attributed to wolves, although it is harder for him than most other canine-type quirks, due to himself having a strong smoke smell that messes with his nose. He also has a tail, which makes it easier for him to balance around.

His quirk, however, isn't limited to just canine features. Much like the hellhounds the quirk is named after, he has the ability to conjure flames, although so far he can only seem to either cover his limbs in them, or breath them through his mouth. This quirk has a downside, however. If he breathes too much clean air, his body temperature starts to drop, and it gets harder for him to use his fire powers. To combat this, he prefers places with heavy pollution. If that is not available, he smokes. His lungs separate the toxins and flammable gases from the air or the cigarette and uses them to power his flames.

    Biography

    Spoiler

As long as he could remember, he lived in the jungle, raised by monkeys. Although young, his human intelligence along with his inhuman strength made him king of his jungle. It was a simple way of life, and all he knew, but he would often find himself gazing over the ocean's horizon, wondering if this jungle was all there was in the world.

One fateful day, however, he learned that there was in fact more in this world. A boat came to his shores, carrying with it researchers and people with extraordinary powers, things the monkey king couldn't even imagine.

He kept away from them at first, watching from a distance, trying to figure out what they were. Some of the more observant people noticed signs of him, or felt his gaze upon them, but none went out of their way to provoke him. Eventually, after determining that these people meant no harm, he revealed himself to them.

Communication was hard at first, but thankfully, a person on this voyage had an animal communication quirk, and with the help of a local monkey acting as a translator, they all began to learn about each other.

The monkey king learned and gained many things from these interactions. They gave him the name Sun, apparently after a great monkey king from the past, taught him that he only lived on a small undiscovered island in the middle of the ocean, and even taught him their own language. In exchange, he taught them about the island, taking them to interesting spots on it, and protected them from threats they didn't know about.

From what the researchers could gather through investigations and finding a old, crashed plane, Sun was only a baby when his family flew in a plane over the ocean, where it crashed onto this island. Sadly, he seemed to be the only survivor. It was lucky that his quirk was as well suited to living out here as it was.

After a few months, the researchers were leaving to head home to their land of Japan. Sun, now knowing that the world was much bigger than he could ever had learned on his own, asked to go along with them. There was a lot of debate among the group, but it was decided that they would bring him along, so long as he promised to listen to them. He agreed to, and they took him to Japan.

He spent the next three years in a research facility, making sure he didn't have some diseases that could be dangerous to the general population. During this time, he learned about the culture, in hopes he could assimilate into normal life easily.

However, Sun learned of heroes, and became fascinated with them. When he was cleared to go into the public, he decided to try to take the test to get into UA, and surprisingly passed.

    Quirk

    Spoiler

Monkey: This quirk gives the user some fur and a tail, similar to a monkey, but blesses him with much more. He has enhanced speed and strength, easily outclassing normal humans in both, and even a few quirked people, although he loses out to people with quirks specialized to either. He has enhanced reflexes as well, and a great sense of balance due to his tail. Much like a monkey, he's great at climbing things.

He seems to pick up on concepts and fighting styles rather quickly, able to mimic things after seeing them once. It's theorized that this is connected to the phrase "monkey see, monkey do", although the people that found him admit that's a pretty weak connection, and he might just be really smart instead of it being a quirk thing.

He can also communicate with animals, although in his current environment, it is very limited, as he hasn't spoken to these kinds of creatures before.

  16. I nod, listening to the report Archer and Caster had for us. "We are a pretty good team," I say as I rub my chin. "I think we should attack Lancer soon, but first, I need to make sure this plan will work," I stand up. "I'll be back, just need to check on some things," with that, I leave the meeting, headed to a more populated place so I could hail a cab. As I did, I checked my phone to see if I had new messages.

  17. Eh, the idea of a schedule is appealing, I'm not gonna lie. And if it doesn't work out, eh, just don't do it again next year. One of the hardest things about being a monster is having a gimmick and keeping it alive for two weeks or so. I'm down with doing a cool game for a day, and then kicking back and doing AMAs.

  18. "Do what again? Teleportation magic?" I tease. "Sorry, sorry, I didn't want to just barge in, so I used magic to feel out the situation. It won't happen again, I promise. Anyways, to be honest, I have a fair shot. I mean, mages don't pay attention to the people around them, so if I take advantage of that, then you know, I have the best chance of winning. Although, if you're not sure yet, I'll let you think about it. However, I will point out... I'm like, 95 percent sure someone with a servant set up shop in your territory. Somewhere to the north,"

"I'd hate to interrupt your negotiations, Master, but it seems we have a problem," Archer stated, before suddenly and bluntly asking "You want something? Maybe one to match?"

    "It's nothing."

"Anyway, our problem. I've lost track of Caster and Berserker. They were heading north and then I lost them."

"Funny you should say that. I just lost a few of my men due north of here. Four down in a matter of seconds. Must be one of those magical nukes you were talking about."

"Oh no, oh no...," I mutter as I rub my forehead. "Okay, Berserker's going berserk, aren't they?" I muttered as I stand up. "Well, here's my contact info, text me or call me when you make a decision. I'm gonna try to clear everyone out now," I say as I turn, walking away. As we leave I turn to Archer. "Wait, you lost them? Did they vanish into thin air? Is it an enemy trap or something?"

  19. "Cool, I'll let him know," I say as I sit down in the chair behind me, running my hands through my hair. As I sit and fit my hair, I drop my disguise, grinning as I look at her. "Well, here I am. Let's talk business, shall we?" I lean forward with a smile. "Now, I'll have you know that I won't raise my down payment. I gotta keep it fair for everyone, you know? However, when we win this war, what do you want out of it?"

  20. "How curious... Should we enter?" Shannon mused to mostly herself "Ladies first, I suppose?"

"If you're that scared of the dark, you just gotta ask," Zirco commented before taking a deep breath and walking into the dark void.  Only a few steps in, and Shannon had vanished from his sight, along with anything else. He couldn't even see the ground beneath him or his hand in front of his face. He sighed and cracked his knuckles, walking further in. He was already here, he might as well keep going.

    Within the void

Besides the darkness, nothing seemed out of the ordinary, although he was sure he should have ran into something... anything at all. Was this warehouse much bigger on the outside then it was on the inside? Come to think of it, he couldn't even hear his footsteps on the floor either. He bent down, reaching to the floor, trying to find the cold hard pavement of the floor, only to find... nothing. Nothing at all. His hand was pressing against something, it was solid, but... it wasn't hot, nor cold... wasn't hard or soft... it was as if it wasn't there at all. Frowning, he stood back up, walking further and further.

"Help us!!!" The first voice that rang out nearly made him jump out of his skin. He looked around, seeing nothing in the darkness, but more voices began to ring out in the darkness. "It burns!" "Why does no one care about us?!" "Why won't someone make it stop?!" The voices of agony rang louder and louder, causing Zirco to grit his teeth. What was going on?! What was this place? He covered his ears and lowered his head, trying to drown out the noise.

"Why you?" A calm voice called out, causing Zirco to pause, uncovering his ears.  He looked up, seeing a teen his age, staring at him intently. "Why were you chosen? What do you have that I didn't?!"

    "The... hell...?" Zirco muttered.

"A burning fury? A blazing will? I had all of that in spades!" The boy yelled as the scenery began to change. Flames began to sprout from the ground, encircling the to into a ring of fire. "So tell me, what did you have that I didn't?!" Zirco clenched his fist, readying himself for a fight but... something caught his eye. Behind the raging boy, beyond the flames... was a girl. She didn't seem angry, or happy, or sad... she just stared into the flames, right at him. Something screamed in Zirco's head. She was someone. She was someone important. Why did he know this? Who was she? His head began to feel fuzzy, and he grabbed his head, crying out in pain.

"Who are you?!" He called out to the girl. "Who the hell are you?!" Instead of answer, she turned away from him, walking into the darkness. "No! Come back!" He rushed ahead, shoving the ranting boy to the side and crashing through the flames, feeling nothing from them as he ran after the girl. No matter how much he ran though, no matter how much he tried to pick up his pace, she stayed ahead of him, out of his reach. Soon, he noticed she wasn't walking at random, she was headed to somewhere... a door of light. He knew... he knew if she crossed into that light he'd never get his answer. He ran faster, his legs screaming in pain as he pushed himself harder than ever to catch up, and for once, distance was closing between them. "Wait! Come back!" He called out, reaching towards her.

Surprisingly, she stopped, turning around and facing him. She stood, waiting right in front of that door of light, a small smile on her face. He ran further, finally getting close, but as his hand was about to touch her, her form was set ablazed, engulfing her form and causing her to vanish in less than a second. Zirco couldn't stop running, and he barreled right into the door of light...

He crashed into the the floor, right by the door they had entered into this accursed warehouse from. He scrambled back to his feet, a wild look in his eye as he stared back into the darkness. "Who... who was that...?" He asked out loud, not knowing or caring if Shannon was there.

"You'll never win if you don't take a risk!" Kyouji taunted as he popped a wheelie, pulling ahead ever so slightly. The road ahead took a sharp right, one that Kyouji began to drift around, leaning to the right and letting his body get dangerously close to the ground beneath him as he sped around the corner. It seemed now there was only a straight road from that turn to the finish line, about 3 miles of road left. Jet would need to win in this final stretch.

"...nothing here," Natsumi reluctantly reported, shutting the oven. Dick sniffed the air, smelling the burrito.

"I wouldn't say that...," Dick commented as he walked over, opening the oven once more. He reached out, feeling the burrito. "It's still warm... someone's been here very recently. We should be on guard,"

"I have found something of interest." Dick looked up as he saw Kiyoko approach them with some paper. He took a look at it, thinking to himself.

"Well, that's very useful to know... We'd need some sort of combination though...," He muttered, before looking at the shelves. "I found a number painted behind the snacks on the third shelf, the number 1. Perhaps the other shelves have other numbers on them?"

"But... What Blues and Mr. E have is funds waiting for me. I don't want to burn that bridge over nothing. Even then, I wouldn't sacrifice innocent people to get it. I won't ditch Blues and E just because they're a little sketchy right now, but if the truth comes out and it's something bad? ...Well, Hearthome takes priority over them."

"So you wish to use them? Not the worst idea, but keep your eyes open, and make sure they don't use you," Lock commented.

"Oh those motherfuckers!" Raijin turned to Octavia, rage in his eyes. "Those bastards aren't gonna pay us a dime, are they!? Shit... So, how exactly are we finding this truth?"

"You're taking the first steps towards it," Lock stated. "Always questioning what is being told to you, looking for the subtext, never taking what's given to you at face value," He sighed. "If you all were unquestionably loyal to Kaiba Corp, I would have failed you all, but because you are willing to question what they are giving you, I consider that a pass," He smiled and clapped. "Congratulations!" He then grabbed the board and flipped it, the other side having a map of Hearthome, with some pins and red lines draw all over it.

"Now that we have that down, it'll be wise for you to know your enemies, would it not?" He commented, as he pointed to a picture of a man, in fact, the very man that had driven people out of the convenience store when they first got here. "This nameless man appeared about a month ago in Hearthome, with a young girl. With very minimal help from some partners that appeared a little later, he has systematically gotten every gang under his thumb. He now runs the city from the shadows. As for his partner... well---," He then paused, looking at the door. The area around the door began to... grow darker, fading from sight.

"We seem to have company...," Lock muttered as he stood up. "Be on your guard,"

Alright, this is the last post from me before our hiatus. Yui, Tom, feel free to do some light collabing with me, because I just realized both cohosts went to the store.
