  1. I always find it fun when they use various YGO things in the art, and making Level Stars into berries is a fun idea. Also, does it have two heads, or is that suppose to be it moving super fast? Kind of weird to depict that in a card art, but yeah. Don't know what name it could have Star Picker maybe?
  2. All these retro inspired playformers lately, I am playing Celeste and The Messenger right now, and now this thing. Well, add it to the "to play" list.
  3. What good timing for this thread, Overwatch just released a new thing, and it's a short story interestingly enough, don't believe they have done that before. I know they have done comics and animated shorts, it's pretty neat that they are doing so many different things. I havne't read it yet, so can't comment if it's any good.
  4. If by dodge the drawback, you mean the part where you can't activate the card, that would not be dodged if you discarded the card, as it's tied to the "also" conjunction, which applies regardless of the other parts resolving or not.
  5. Eh, I guess it's fine, but it is the biggest item there from what I can see.
  6. Yes, I know that generic Spell Card searching is a thing, but many are quite costly, and I think the game can handle it not being as costly, just adjust your balancing. As for the hand reveal, again, that's one part of the costliness, and I don't think it matters much, since you can Set your cards or Summon your monsters first, since you can't use the cards that turn anyway, so don't have much reason to play it before you end your turn, and in case you do want to do it before, well the speed of the game is at a point where it doesn't matter, your opponent will know all your cards by the end of your turn anyway. Didn't really think about the ability to discard the card, that's true, but it's unlikely your Deck will be in such a situation, the off-chance you are using Normal Spells with GY effects I feel like doing a combo like you are talking about is still fine, since you can't use the card you added that turn anyway, so you'll still only get that one GY effect, which I feel like is not gonna break the game in half.
  7. Not sure why the topic starter is needed, wouldn't you know before you came to the topic? It's also at the top anyway, so seems pointless.
  8. Didn't YCM have a ton of information on the side at one point? It was a bit strange, and yeah, this feels like it makes more sense in a person's profile than on the sidebar.
  9. Talk about the Blizzard hero shooter with them cute murder girls and Japanese ninjas and what not. I play both on PS4 and PC, but mostly PS4 PS4: Zaziuma PC: Zaziuma#2392
  10. Ah yes, that's the one. Not sure if repling is even a word.
  11. Maybe you gotta mountain climb to get points, would be a lot more challenging, but what do I know.
  12. I posted a thread where you can ask ruling questions, hope it'll be helpful to you all:

  13. Hello there, you are probably here because you have a question regarding a ruling on a card, or a scenario you want to know how would play out etc. The good people of this site will attempt to help you as best they can, myself included. If you have just started playing the game, check out the official rulebook first here: https://img.yugioh-card.com/en/rulebook/SD_RuleBook_EN_10.pdf To get the most out of this thread, I hope you will follow my suggestions written below, these are not rules, obviously forum rules apply, but I can't tell you how to post, but I think you'll find this thread better to use if you follow my suggestions: Staying on topic is important, this is for asking and answering questions, not for discussing cards and Deck builds, you can post those here: http://neocardmaker.com/forum/index.php?/forum/15-yu-gi-oh/ Questions about custom cards is not discouraged, but be aware that not every situation exists in the real game, so your custom card scenario may not be answerable. Your card may have a real counterpart, so look up cards with similar effects and check their rulings before asking here. Try only to post a single question at a time. If you have similar connected questions, feel free to ask them, but try not to make a list of 10 random questions, not only are you unlikely to get a response to every question, but it spams the thread as well, which nobody likes and may be against forums rules. Post the full card names if possible and avoid using acronyms that may be too obscure or fan names, memes etc. While most people know that MST and BTH stand for Mystical Space Typhoon and Bottomless Trap Hole respectively, when the card is very new, or it's a rarely used card, say the full name, or even better, post an image or the card text and other relevant information. When responding to a post, linking to a source is helpful. Sometimes, that isn't possible, or the question is so simple that it isn't needed, but it helps give credibility and gives a "case-law" so to speak.
  14. I recently took a look at the new Harpie support, and thought it interesting that they played into Harpie Lady Sisters and higher Level Harpies in general, so I came up with an idea to support that, as well as give them even more options than before, since they are limited to Rank 4s and 7s for the most part, so this card enables them to do so much more. Firstly, it's a Harpie Lady on the field and GY like most Harpies tend to be, but it's also a Tuner. Next, it got two effects, the first Special Summon itself by increasing the Level of 1 of your Harpie monsters by 1. This plays into the next effect, which activates on its Summon, which targets any Harpie you control and make all Harpies on the field into that target's Level. This gives you the option to Xyz Summon Rank 5s and 8s, something you couldn't do before, or Synchro Summon with this card for a variety of Synchro Monsters. Either if you want to use this on Harpie Lady Sisters or Harpie's Pet Dragon to make Rank 7s or 8s or if you are more into the Synchro Summoning side, you just want a relatively free Special Summon from your hand, this gives you many options for plays your opponent wouldn't normally expect in a Harpie Deck.
  15. I recently realized that there isn't a whole lot of Normal Spell support in general, so I figured I would make a searcher for them. Obviously I understand that it can be a powerful thing to grab a Normal Spell, so you have to give up quite a lot to do so, by first revealing another Normal Spell in your hand, as well as your entire hand when this card resolves, then you shuffle that revealed card into your Deck, and you also can't activate it, nor the card you added to your hand that same turn. I think that's fair enough to grab any Normal Spell in the game, as there have been similar things for other kinds of Spells and Traps which aren't used much, but still useful should your Deck have a lot of Normal Spells or something that's hard to search normally.
  16. Hi there, I don't have a lot to say, most probably know me, at least a little bit, I have had pinned topics with at least 10.000 views before, so if you don't me, you know my topics, like the PSCT thread, the Unofficial Rulebook thread, as well as various other threads that took a lot of work. If I can, I will attempt to re-create these at some point, since I found them to be my most useful achievement on YCM. I also post a lot of custom cards, you may have seen some of my Archetypes before. Well, those are mostly lost to time on YCM, but they are actually still available on Duel Portal, so check them out here: http://duel-portal.com/
  17. Well well well, it seems like I get the honor of the first post in Sets. I made this Archetype before the shutdown and intended it to be the final post I made that year, but as we all know, YCM shut down, so I had to delay it for a while. I already posted it on the Pojo and Dueling Book Forums, so if you are a lurker, you may have already seen them. Solaris is an Archetype of LIGHT monsters with various Levels and Types. They focus on using Link and Ritual Monsters in combination, Tokens and self destruction strategies. Each Link and Ritual Monster Special Summon Solaris Tokens when destroyed on the field. While these cannot be used as Link Material, they are Level 4 and thus make good Tributes for their Ritual Monsters. Their main playstyle revolves around Link Summoning first, mostly into Satellite, which enables them to go for more plays and make use of the combination effects of their Ritual Monsters. Their boss monsters are their Level 7 and 11 Ritual Monsters, Stormbringer and Sunslayer respectively, which are able to destroy large amount of monsters on the field, making Tokens or taking care of your opponent's monsters, as well as having Summon and effect negation effects that utilize Tokens. Solaris means "of the sun" and they are all related to the sun, stars and space in general, which also plays into their naming gimmick of all cards starting with an s-word. 18. This is it then, the new site. Looks so clean in comparison to YCM, but have to see how long it takes to get used to.
