This is all that I need that doesn't already seem to be there this time. For the first time yesterday, I actually finished an actual part of one of the games, as you can probably guess which.

I was so close to finishing the first half of Genealogy too though, practically did even, but emulation troubles. Would love to see that one remade.

  2. What about... Super Mario Maker? It isn't actually packed with that much content... Until the players upload... Their shit. But I would play their shit 'til the end of time if the servers would let me. Well, even just off of what we've seen so far, I'm moreso talking about Mario Maker 2.

And the randomizer question would definitely stand but I would probably say Emerald regardless knowing how much I played as a kid anyway, and I can really truly go at that Battle Frontier.

I guess there is always the issue of that one specific iteration getting the servers shut down, despite that would not be the case for Wow or the like, I'm not interested in them.

So even without randomizer or extra content, I will cheat out a little... Pokémon Emerald, Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3 (Wii U ver), and I'm gonna be honest. Atm, the isn't a single non-Nintendo game I would rather play with such limited options the rest of my life they make them much more repayable for my tastes. I could get close and be kinda cheap again with certain trilogies (woooh!), but gonna go with Super Mario 64. Got the right amount of difficulty beacause I'm so not used to how vintage it is as a 3D game (had a PlayStation at the time), and I had a blast any time I played/watched it so far anyway that I can just tell it would work for this.

though it may also be worth noting this is the first region to not have an "o" in its name.

I mean... Unova in Japanese is completely different, Isshu-but literally why would that be worth noting? xD

Bulbapedia has a trivia section that only has that fact right now... Unova's is differentiated by only saying "in its Japanese name". I guess it is a neat factoid.

There are two versions of the same video on the official YT channel which is completely redundant given the simultaneous release. ORAS was fine to have two versions given it came out in Europe a week later.

Sun/Moon also had a later release in Europe, which again made having two vids fine

Oh, is that what it is? Yeah, the simultaneous release makes the extra video quite redundant given what I saw of the video looked completely identical to what I saw in NoA's stream.

One thing is for sure... it seems to me like Kalos is going to be clamored for in this game all the more now. Now that it doesn't seem impossible (though still very unlikely, imo), even I'd like that more now...

Now there are more people comparing Scorbunny to a rabibt, Buneary, but the first comparison I saw that someone was annoyed by the starters looking so similar, was it and Chespin. It's really only the color that Grookey gets Chespin vibes from. Scorbunny on the other hand looks so similar to numerous others, and I can even tell! That Chimchar pose omg... Still like it just as much as the other two atm.

  5. Sword and Shield, suspiciously clock tower-like building with pokeball symbol, now this official video straight up says UK... wow, totally confirmed. Just looks like what they straight up wanted to do on the 3DS, but couldn't quite get up to.

Also, I'm really digging the designs and personalities of all the basic stage starters quite a bit right now, but I can't get too hyped up over them, the middle stage has been known to severely make or break them.

    Spoiler

Tabata has answered just about everything he's ever hinted at, I feel like, so this obviously feels very close to the end for me. It's obvious the Wolf showing up instead of the sheep (ha! It was a wolf... in sheep. Just... in a sheep) means it is some really strong spirit, so with that said, I would place my bets on the Earth elemental spirit. It's not as blatant as Yuno's or the fire magics, but cotton comes from sheep, an animal. Food comes from plants, animals, etc. It could happen.

And another thing. apparently the Heart and Spade kingdoms were mentioned in some guidebook (or at the very least properly detailed in a map and stuff), but actually introducing them properly seems just about the only way this could go on after the current stuff without complete BS. Like if the Clover or Diamond kingdoms can affiliate themselves with one or the other, it'd have to happen if an all out war ever occurs.

Yes, very much agree with everything this post says. I can't remember how much of the 3rd volume I've read and need to get back to but that along with having watching the anime as well, drives those points so much more true.

Amagi Brilliant Park 4 parts 1-4

Ah, so now it's Biino's story. I guarantee this is making me like her more already. Or more to the point, actually care for her. I expected the part-timers to be throwaways in the source too, but that isn't the case at all, especially seeing how last volume made Shiina my favorite character. Now I'm curious how they'll make people care for the... AV actor. Pffft. Continues to be just as highly enjoyable as the anime, but with that extra development even in parts I didn't expect at all.

I will say though about one general aspect that a lot of people probably know by now, Latifah is still blind in the manga, but the anime changed that about her. She goes through enough hell and a blind person making all those delicious croquettes isn't the most reasonable thing in the world.

  8. Straight away the thing that got me the most hype, Super Mario Maker 2. Still got the Wii U out for quite a bit just to play the original. Beside the obvious focus in Harry Potter Emblem, pretty much only Astral Chain looked pretty cool to me but oooooh, Link's Awakening remake!

Some things definitely looked alright anyway, I could not say this could be disappointing in any way for most Nintendo fans. Sucks for Animal Crossing fans, but it really wasn't that long since the announcement for a series that seems to have a long development cycle.

Missed exactly what extra content for Captain Toad was exactly, but some being paid makes me think actual new levels, and that would be great.

Plus I want to check out Baccano and Durarara, partly because I'm interested in what sort of Naritaverse crossover stuff is mentioned in them that the anime don't cover (like how at one point Shizuo beats Nile in a fight, and Ronny knows Celty). The initial Durarara novels were basically all covered by the anime, but there's still the sequel series, while Baccano is largely unadapted.

Yeah, that whole crossover stuff always seemed quite interesting, it's too bad I don't like Baccano half as much as DRRR. ?

I also have a few physical series I haven't really gotten around to yet. It's only when J-Novel Club came around and rolled out their pre-pub subscription that I really started getting into LNs, and that's where these "parts" come from. You're always able to read the first part of any volume for free, and the quality compared to most fan translations have been too good to pass up. Make no mistake, if I can get around to them, there are some that I really want to check out whether or not they ever get licensed, The Familiar of Zero definitely included.

  10. Infinite Stratos 6 part 1

But first, our dinners: Nice set of priorities you got there, pal. The fact that Ichika mentioned not liking ramen in the first volume pretty much sets him apart as one of my least favorite MCs by far, though. Well, on top of being the most dense.

    Part 5

Ice cream sharing indirect kiss spoon licking threesome... lewd.

  11. Grimgar 13 part 7

    Spoiler

A dream monster, phew. No wonder it was so inhumanly large even after Haruhiro woke up. I really hope that's all it was.

Demon King Daimaou 10 part 3

    Spoiler

She used the last bucket's worth... on the sprinklers, stripping a whole gym worth of students. A shame it didn't backfire and get her wet, but hey, it wasn't just girls for the last one. Akuto being forced to eat dry rice though, what a punishment.

Yoshie! She does have a job, but also spends most of her time at the school for the hell of it I guess. That robot that can copy personalities certainly makes for some shenanigans.

My friend told me I should just check out the manga since the anime's fine, but it's the superior iteration. Curious how people here feel between the two; I think this is one of the few high-profile anime from 2018 I hadn't checked out.

I would be inclined to agree, though I haven't read the manga yet. I was really liking this for the first half, but then I felt it going through the motions of what had to be done before the end of the show (more so than any other anime I've watched recently, and that early on too). Yes, I realize I'm probably too late, but had I not unknowingly got too busy, I would have been perfectly up to date and finished by the time this tread popped up.

Now I just want to post my thoughts on the final episode so

    Spoiler

Not even following through with the whole arc. What? I'm pretty much thinking the manga won't feel quite as much like that, depending on how much was adapted, but it probably won't. I hope.

Ever since that one obvious moment where I swear Yuu figured out she loves Nanami-senpai (I saw that blush not long after! but that wasn't the biggest tell, it was the generic anime gust of wind thing), every little couple-like thing causes me to cringe because I'm scared she'll slip up and reveal herself so Nanami-senpai won't like her anymore, and I was hoping the play would cause Nanami-senpai to like herself more so it wouldn't be such an issue. Wrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-but I guess I'm dumb/Yuu is just too good an actor anyways.

There is some consolidation, because I didn't expect Yuu to just randomly spring some ad-lib on during practice, rather than mention it was still a work in progress beforehand (which there wasn't really enough time for. If nothing else, they still paced it superbly). Those extra lines from her may have already been what I wanted out of it, but it doesn't feel like closure at aaaaaaall.

Also, Yuu is absolutely the best thing since sliced pizza.

Large double pepperoni pizza with stuffed crust, two medium pepperoni ones, one medium sausage, 16 bone-out honey barbecue wings, two orders of fries (cajun and regular), AND 8 mozzarella sticks; all from Pizza Hut. I had guests and family over.

Very cool. I haven't had stuffed crust in a long time, but it's always super good, so once it was on sale I kinda had to try Delissio's limited time version. Really should do a delivery one sometime soon though, because as much as it wants to be equal to delivery, it never is. It checked out just fine, though. @Thar Cheeseburger pizzas, too. Them the shit, can't believe my mother/sister don't like them.

  14. Taco Bell. Thought they stopped having much in the way of interesting limited time stuff, so went back to my usual of Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme and Fries supreme, but my bro pointed out the naked chicken chalupa had "new nacho cheese flavour". Kinda would be into trying that. Anyway, Mountain Dew Baja Blast of course, so glad Canada has finally got it for a while now. ?

  15. Grimgar 13 part 6

    Spoiler

Shooting -star- soap exploding into bubbles when hitting them? Affected their vision and hearing for a bit, still dangerous with other things that could be in this door. Human-headed octopus-spider? That's Grimgar all right. Or maybe it really, really isn't, after other things I've seem and them going on like the inside of the tent is somehow another world. With the stories about this Leslie guy, it's not surprising.

I'm dying... Haruhiro shortened what he was calling a monster to just... grotesque jerk... ?

Seriously though, incubator centipedes, winged intestines, starfish moles... what a fever dream.

But... that last bit before what I can tell is the end of the chapter... as I thought, Choco... does that imply everyone, EVERYONE that becomes a volunteer soldier in Grimgar already died (kinda had my thoughts)? That's so bad though... does that imply that Haruhiro went insane before he got sent to Grimgar? What I already saw of his past sure mad it seem like he would never be capable of something so horrible, is it just an actual nightmare brought on by the noise those bumps emited from the incubator centipedes? Please tell me it was.

  16. Little Apocalypse 12 part 7

    Spoiler

When I found out Atlantis was going to be one of this volume's heroines' home and story, it got me really excited, but this series sure has a way of taking those expectations and completely turning them on their head. Like, they went and introduced Laputa too, and not even having anything to do with anyone else's story. Then Chirika had to go off and visit Shangri-La.

I'm glad that Chirika hesitated after hearing the story about the Gold Yaksha. After all this, it sure would've been boring if it literally was just some evil monster.

Outbreak Company 8 Part 1 (past anything adapted into the anime, well passed most of the adapted material)

    Spoiler

Ooooh, dwarf territory and mass produced faldras. What's next, actually seeing some of the elf territory too?
