  1. Tethanor found this revelation amusing. Being flung to another universe was not a new experience for her, however, considering the fact that were not currently being infused with negative energy was a definite upgrade from the last time this happened to her. She nodded to her Overlord. She then looked to Vorpu and said, "I have a few things to prepare first. I will meet you at the entrance to this Pyramid. " The Ancient Dragon exited  the chamber on that note, simply walking down the long flights of stairs, pondering her next move.

While she walked down the stairs, she pondered her next move. Moving outside of Usaphidos's circle would not be wise, at least, not at first. Her first task is to scour this land, and garner allies in this world. Perhaps she could take up her old mantle using shapeshifting to mimic what she once was, manipulating things behind the scenes. But that would come later. The time was now, to feel the sun on her back, and the wind beneath her wings, and claim the world as their's. 'Who knows what other beings might I find? I desire the taste of lore and stories as I once did.'

Her champion, Thorn, was waiting for her. The Red Half-Dragon was always a welcome sight, seen in his armor and mighty red scales. The Half Dragon did not speak, but it was fairly obvious what he wanted. Orders.

"Keep standing here and prevent our men from leaving. I must inform my people of what has happened."  Thorn nodded and let her pass as Kobolds frantically tried to pass Thorn, but stopped when they saw her. She walked over to the throne she sat on and waited for her people to finally stop there chatter, and addressed them not as slaves, but as siblings in arms.

"PEOPLE OF THIS SECTOR! We are No Longer Trapped Above the Abyss, with Endless Amounts of Adventurers Coming to Slaughter Us! No, we are now Masters of Our Own Fate, in a New World, where we are free to do as we wish without the whims of people on the Outside! I intend to search this new world with the aid of the Floor Bosses! With Hope, we can create a new world for ourselves and your families! For now, stay here, and begin to dream. For there is much to do once we survey this land."

There was a roar of shouts and yells, in which Tethanor decided to leave behind her. She began her walk to the entrance, and simply waited around the corner from said entrance, waiting to see it with her own eyes with the rest of the her fellow bosses.

  2. Something had changed. Tethanor could tell. Something just clicked in her head. She could still hear a buzz of words that she had said over and over again, without any other  thought. The Shadow Dragon flexed her muscles, and felt them pop and stretch, as if she had not moved for a long time. The room of her hoard had a high ceiling, and she was laying on her hoard. Her eyes twitched as she tried to understand what had happened.

"In every moment of my existence, I have not ever felt this... emotion? Feeling? I feel... " She roared as she stretched her wings and took flight. She rose up to the balcony above her hoard, and spewed a cone of negative energy into the air, and she smiled with her fangs. "Unchained."  She walked through her portion of the pyramid, watching her scaly minions struggle to cope with whatever form of freedom that they had. She walked onto deeper part of the dungeon, to her throne. She used her shapeshifting and changed her form, becoming a human. She sat down on her throne, staff in hand, smugly watching her minions be confused. And then a servant alarmed her that Usaphaidos had sent a servent.

The mummy was a shambling undead, badly wrapped, almost tripping on it's one bandages. The lizard men that served her looked with horror and disgust at the undead monster. "What reason for you to appear here, monster? Make your message quick, or leave my lair." The Undead creature pointed up, which Tethanor assumed that it meant that it was time to try and understand what was this 'Unchaining' was by talking her dear old boss, the literal God of Death.

"I understand. Also, I would suggest leaving my dungeon, because the longer you stand there, the more likely my reptilian friends will rob you of the cloth you use as binding to keep your skin together to make bandages." The Mummy, quicker than it had appeared, shambled in the direction of the exit. Tethanor smiled at her joke, and then transformed back into a dragon. On her way out, she flew past the Mummy, accidentally dragging it out of her part of the dungeon because it got caught on her left hind claw, and flew up the stairs, rounding multiple corners and different flights of stairs, where, after a few minutes of flight, she then made it to her master's chamber.

She then transformed back into her humanoid form and, in silence, waited for the Lord of the Dead to say anything at all, knowing that something was afoot, and, more than likely, the Death God had some role in this.

At least, Tethanor hoped that he did.

  3. Well, here it is. I initially wanted to play a different character, but ncm deleted it, so here is the second one I made. I enjoy me some tabletop games, and I hope my enthusiasm shows. Also, I have been having some trouble getting the image to work properly, so just let me know if there was an issue.

    Spoiler

    Applicant Name: JellisOP

    Character Name: Tethanor

     Age: 1211

Species: Shadow Dragon (Originally a Copper Dragon)

    Gender: Female

    NPC Class: The Fallen

    NPC Role: Raider

    Appearance:

    Spoiler

adult_cooper_shadow_dragon_dnd_by_ravenvTrue Form:Image result for shadow dragon"

Preferred Humanoid Form: Tethanor prefers to look like a Noble Women, however a Noble Women from a thousand years ago. She wears a sleeveless dress made of linen, embroidered in silver and black quartz, with frail-looking sandals. While looking slim, this form is quite muscular, able to lift most things that she could as a dragon. Her black hair is braided, while she wears a black iron circlet. The Staff of Counterspell is found in her hands, which is a glass rod with a crystal sphere that gains more swirls of random color.

    Personality:

    Spoiler

As a copper dragon, she was a comical prankster. She loved seeing adventurers and hearing their stories, hunting down knowledge over all things, except maybe one other thing. She craved treasure, as all dragons do, but specifically gems from the earth. More specifically, she was obsessed with quartz and it's variations. And stories remained of how helpful she was. However, this did not last.

When the players found her, she was encountered in a new, fearful form, a literal shadow of her former self. Her humor remained, but in a twisted form, finding life and death struggles humorous. She still hunted down knowledge, but was much more forceful about it, willing to kidnap and murder for it. But this has given her some chill, giving her patience while her old self would rush off at any opportunity. It made her more cruel and calculating, and beneath her blank white eyes, she is always calculating the causes and effects of your death.

    Backstory:

    Spoiler

In the beginning, Tethanor was born on a bluff in a mountain range. Even from her early age, her mother could tell how fate had blessed her hatchling. She had a strong appetite for knowledge, wealth, and a good story. However, the time came when she set out into the world. She decided to set up in a valley, near a chasm, which the locals called "The Abyss".

She dug through the dirt and created a hole in the ground, where she would gather treasure, specifically stones she found in The Abyss. This attracted adventurers and merchants, and through these people, she found comfort, trading information and gems for stories and rare artifacts. She even helped create a dungeon where upstart adventurers would test there mettle.

One day, during a spelunking session, she went further than she had ever gone down into The Abyss. She found many unique treasures, like a blackish red iron, and her new favorite rock: Black Quartz. She was going to go back to the surface when she noticed another piece of black quartz. She went to retrieve it, when The Abyss revealed it's secret to her, opened a dimensional portal, and sucked her into The Plane of Shadow.

Once trapped in the Shadow Plane, she desperately tried to return to the Material Plane, but failed at every attempt. She was forced to scrounge for food, eating whatever she could, and when there was nothing left to eat, she eat the humanoids that lived there, all the while she was being corrupted by the plane's energy. She lived like this for almost 1000 years, when, even as she was corrupted to her core by the plane, ready to kill herself and end her eternal suffering, she managed to escape to the Material Plane. But she was never the same.

She found her lair raided, the neighboring village gone, and the New Structure on top of The Abyss Appealing. She joined forced with the creatures in The Pyramid of the Abyss, and was given the role of "Raider", which gave her sick pleasure to melt towns to the ground with her acid. However, she was recalled to prepare a defense for the waves of new raiders of the pyramid.

There was however a few things that people found interesting about her, specifically those who used divination magic. People couldn't just search up what her weaknesses were and expect them to work, they had to use divination magic and then the game would open up her weaknesses. People who used the spell "Inquiri", a spell that took a longer time to cast said this:

"Tethanor soul has spent a millennia soaking in the energy from the Shadow Plane. As such, use the power of the sun's glow to burn through this creature's darkness. However, this creature's soul is not forever doomed. For some day, the sun's glow may pierce her cold heart and not just restore her to her former glory, but give her the power of the radiant sun."

As such, the devs intended to add a quest that involved going into the boss with a weak radient spell or some artifact that projected light that allowed her to become a Sun Dragon, but then she disappeared out of the game with the rest of the bosses, and there she appeared, half hoping for some hope of a savior, half knowing that there is no salvation and to continue to embrace the darkness.

    Equipment:

    Spoiler

Ring of Black Quartz: Is a Rare Drop, gives the breath weapon ability less cooldown.

Claws & Fangs: Strong enough to tear through stone pillars with ease. Also creates weapons that deal armor penetrating necrotic damage.

Shadow Scales: Scales that provides Acid and Necrotic Damage Immunity, while being lightweight. Creates armor that has the same resistances.

Staff of Counterspell: This staff is the rarest drop she has, and is only dropped by her in humanoid form. This staff allows the holder to absorb the energy from enemy spells, thus negating them. It also gives the ability to release all of the energy at once by destroying it, creating a magical explosion that is immune to anti-magic fields, and negates magic upon touching it. It also has the ability to rip through dimensions if the energy stored inside the staff is great enough.

    Example of Skills:

    Spoiler

Breath Weapon: Has three types, can rain a cone of Negative Energy, A line of Acid, which can melt through stone, or a cone of noxious gas that slows everything inside of it's range to a crawl.

Flight: Can obviously fly with her wings, about 10 mph.

Aura of Shadow: Side effect of being infused with darkness. Can be turned off or on. In a sixty foot circle around her, all creatures get some health drained from them.

Shapeshifting: Tethanor can shapeshift an infinite number of times, into the shapes of humanoids and beasts. However, her twisted mind can allow her to shapeshift into some frighting creatures that don't truly exist(at least, they don't in her mind), like a dire wolf shark, or a bird whose wingspan is 200 feet long and is always on fire. The one tell tale detail that lets you know it is her is her eyes, which never change.

  4. "Fair warning though, we don't pull any punches."

"If you are not going to, then neither will we. Let's 'Roc' and Roll!"

Roc cawed into the air, spread his wings, and took to the skies. All the while, Emile was making a strategy for the fight. Based on what he knew, the best strategy for his Archen was a Rushdown strategy, which was one of the things he trained him to do. If he was fast, Roc could take Ollie out fairly quickly. He was ready to go. He activated the Xtransceiver on his wrist, to record the battle, and called out his first attack for Roc.

"Roc, start this off with a Rock Throw!"

Roc began to circle over Ollie, dropping a rock on him. Emile knew that by forcing him to use projectiles would play to his advantage, but that would be just a rouse. He would batter him with projectiles, and then go in for the knockout with a torrent of physical moves. It just might work.

  5. "I'm here to take on the pokemon league. How about you man?"

Emile had wondered himself what he was going to do. There were many things he could do, but what was his goal? He would just go in order of his list.

"So, to be completely honest, I have no clue what I am going to do. I might do a little bit of everything. Take on the gym's, catch pokemon on the way, maybe even take on the pokeathlon. As for me, I'm from Nacrene City in Unova."

'Our goals sort of align. Should I battle him, or should I go with him up the road to the gym?' Emile asked himself. 'I think I should challenge him to a battle, and see where it goes from there.

"Hey, if you don't mind, I'd like you to be my first battle in Johto. My Archen versus your Cyndiquil. What do you say?" Emile looked at him with a hopeful expression. Roc cawed excitedly in Ollie's direction, taunting him. "Roc, stop that. Next thing you know he's going to taunt a Tyranatar or a Dragonite." He flicked the Archen as he scolded him. He waited for Trey's response.

  6. "Ah, a Cyndiquil. Hello Ollie." He said, smiling to the fire rat. He then released the pastry-craving bird, making sure to keep a hand on his leg. The Prehistoric Avian immediately cawed at his owner sadly, knowing that he had been caught. "This is Roc, an Archen. However, he is a rare Pokemon from even where I am from. He is a reborn fossil from the Prehistoric Age. This formerly fossilized bird is known to be the ancestor of all birds. He just so happens to have a sweet tooth, which is is why he had been trying to fly to the bakery just behind you. I didn't know back then they had rock candy." Just as Emile finished speaking, he realized what he just said and he cracked a smile and started laughing. "Get it? "Roc" Candy? Huh? Huh?" It took him a moment to catch his breath, and Roc just sighed. He picked it back up from where he had left it. "Sorry, bad jokes are kind of my thing." He noticed that there was a small commotion at the Pokemon Center.  He definitely heard a bark in the swarm of Pokemon. "So, Trey, where are you from and what are you going to do, other than the whole reason we were sent here?" He really wondered what was going on in that Pokemon Center.

  7. "Ah, a beautiful day, isn't it Roc?" Emile said to the bird perched on his glove.

"Arrrrch!" The Archen cawed to his master, enjoying the breeze.

"So, what should we do first?" He pondered out loud as he checked the map of the region, which he updated on his way here. And then it hit him. And by it, I mean Roc slamming into his face.

"Oww! Stop trying to go for pastries! We talked about this." He complained. What in the world was he doing? He turned around to find Roc flying to a small bakery not to far from the Pokemon Center. Unfortunately, he was about to slam into a man with blonde hair and a black stocking cap with a 9 on it.

"Oh no you don't!" Emile said as he used his Poke ball to return Roc to him, and then ran over to the man who had almost been hit by his bird. "Oh my gosh, I apologize for my bird. He can get unruly at times." He stuck out his hand. "My name is Emile." He said, looking into this man's amber colored eyes, and wondered what lays behind them. 'Probably a brain.' Emile quipped to himself as he waited.

     Backstory

    Spoiler

Emile didn’t have a lot growing up. He grew up on top of a warehouse with his single mother. She worked at Cafe Nacrene and Emile usually came with her to work on the weekends and eventually worked there part time. When he wasn’t at school or with his mother at work, he was in the Nacrene City Museum. He especially enjoyed fossils, and in the library, he loved going over the books about Fossilized Pokemon, and he thought it was sad that he was unable to meet them. That is, until Lenora gave him a Plume Fossil.

It was a beautiful sight, seeing the Archen for the first time. It was exactly like the sketches he saw of him. He named it Roc (for the irony). Lenora told him to venture to Striaton Gym, a gym south of the town. Emile went there, met the Gym Leaders, and fought Chili, who lost. And then, when he got home, there was a letter for him, from the Silph Company, who offered him the chance to explore Johto. He accepted, and with Roc at his side, he was ready to do… Something! He doesn’t really know what he is going to do yet.

    Personality

    Spoiler

Emile is optimistic as all get out. He enjoys humor and the most frowned upon form of jokes, bad puns! He lets out his opinion for all to hear, and does not care how unpopular it is. However, he craves attention, which stems from long days sitting at home alone. He is generally likeable, and an all-around good person to be around.

He enjoys sweet foods, and has been known to slip bites of pastries, getting Emile in a lot of trouble. Overall, he is a bizarre character, and fits Emile quite nicely.

  9. Spoiler

    Name: Blake
    Gender: Male
    Species: Honedge
Appearance: A Honedge with a lavender cloth instead of a blue one and a dark grey metal, with a scratch on the flat of his blade. His eye is also Lavender.

    Spoiler

Blake is very organized, having a very methodical approach to life. He is definitely is an introvert, preferring studying alone or with one other person. He has few friends other than his Pokemon, and tends to make others shy away. He generally dislikes easy things and prefers a challenge.

His main flaw is that he has trouble opening up to people. He is Paranoid, and can't bring himself to truly open up. He also has been known to lash out in anger. These go hand in hand, when people pry,  he gets punchy.  He also holds grudges for a long time.

    Spoiler

Blake woke up on a beach in the sand, waves rolling on him. He discovered what he was, freaked out, of course, but he soon put his sword fighting abilities to use. He discovered how much control he had of his body, and admired the craftsmanship of his body. He then met a friendly Wingull who told him how to get to thicket town. After many weeks of travelling, he met a shady character in the woods, a Haunter. Now, this Haunter was actually a half decent Pokemon, not trying to actually hurt him. The Haunter taught him the other side of his abilities, teaching him how to use Shadow Sneak. With Haunter, Blake made it to Thicket Town.

    Spoiler

Blake Lived in Mossdeep City in the Hoenn Region. From a young age, he was shy and had a hard time trusting others, thanks to an abusive mother, who she blamed for everything. His father had a divorce, and then he lived alone with his father in Mossdeep while his mother moved to Lilycove. Then, at the age of nine, a man came up to him and offered him a Pokemon, a Beldum. This helped Blake open up a bit, and helped him gain a friend. This kid was happy go lucky, incredibly positive. His name was John. He offered him a toy sword, and they played with their foam swords on the beaches of Mossdeep, and they hit it off ever since.

This continued for many months, and swordplay had become relatively normal activity for them. They even battled alongside their Pokemon, One of the rarer things they did. However, they both gained a crush on a girl, and the fighting became more and more intense, closer duels, more cuts and bruises. So one day, a cool foggy Friday, they agreed to one final fight over her. It was close, but Blake won narrowly, and had won a promise that John would not go after her. However, when he went to ask the crush, John was found flirting with her. This crushed Blake, and ruined the friendship. They had a violent duel, but John won because of Blake's Recklessness. He remembers practicing more and more reckless sword slashes against the beach cliffs, angry about John's betrayal. He never truly recovered.

    Spoiler

Blake Remembers dueling John with practice swords on a beach, alongside their Pokemon, his Metang and John's Steelix.

Moves:Swords Dance, Fury Cutter, Autotomize, Shadow Sneak
