This was something I came across. Seems pretty interesting The Ascended of Thunder Level 7 / Light / Thunder / Effect 2700 attack / 2400 defense Effect: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by paying 3000 LP. If this card Summoned this way in it's owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or card effect): Gain 5000 LP. I'm kinda surprised this doesn't see play in Thunder Dragons. Life points don't really matter too much, so this effectively acts as a free special summon, putting a monster on the field at no cost to your card advantage. It being a thunder allows for usage for Colossus and Titan plays, you can also use it to summon Some Summer Summoner, and even generic stuff like Knightmares and Borrel Links.
