While Alois was relieved he didn't have to cross this dreaded river for yet another night, this was only a momentary relief as the orders from the younger princess came. He had already had enough of moving for the day, so having to go forage and build a camp while someone else directed him around was not the most pleasant of notions. Nevertheless, he followed the orders of the princess and merely moved around foraging for supplies to help build their  shelter after shortly finding the clearing to set things up in. As he did so, he mockingly mouthed along with the directions of Penelope, though was just as often berated due to not having the specific distance between two each piece correct. Wondering how the girl could even tell, he was stopped as she made her comment about the rain. Looking at her quizically, he said, "what are you talking ab-" it was then that he followed where she was looking to.

There was someone new here. Or, rather, someone incredibly familiar looking. He was so familiar looking in fact that Alois was positive he knew this person. But they were blond. And the other person was not. Confused, Alois had next to no idea of what to make of this. Obviously, color shifting rain was not an ordinary thing, but the past week had been anything but. However, the only thing that Alois could possibly think to say was, "Eddy. Put your hair back on."

Tsetseg was quite looking forward to figuring out how to hop or swim across the water. Yet, all the same, the group had elected to spend the night on this side of the river, and so she went along with it. As they were splitting up to go do other things, Tsetseg wondered if she would be best suited to also go forage things when her most familiar of group members came over to her. Electing to go scouting and offering for her to come along, Tsetseg smiled and said, "oh, sure sure Adel. Let's be scouting buddies!" Waking alongside the woman, as she mentioned flying in the rain, the girl nodded. "Oh I bet it is! Especially when you see the rain just go fwoosh," she spread her arms wide, "and spray everywhere off the wings." Thinking for a moment, the girl said, "but I bet flying normally is tons of fun too. Is it? What's it like Adel?"

In spite of the two ghosts trying to reassure him that there was nothing to worry about with the Enforcer, Nine couldn't help but feel the opposite way. As Gwen mentioned Lok going to see his family, the Accelgor besides him had moved over to talk about the situation with him. He couldn't help but nod, thinking the whole area was completely suspicious himself, as well. "Even before coming here," he whispered back to her, "there was something weird about her whenever I mentioned this place. And the Enforcer is...definitely different." Though he felt on edge since they had come here, Nine had felt it wouldn't do good to look that way, and thus tried to keep a positive expression on his face after he finished speaking with Kayla.

It didn't take long for them to get to Lok's place of residence. Once there, it seemed that Lok was greeted with some kind of prank from his sibling, and both of his parents had come to the door as well. Looking between the three of Lok's family, Nine introduced himself saying, "I'm Nine, a pleasure to meet you." He gave a small smile towards Pumkaboo as Lok teased her, then looking back to his parents. "I've been accompanying these two," he gestured to Lok and Gwen, "for quite some time now." With a bit of joking smile on his face he said, "he can be a bit of a handful sometimes, but I'll say you've both raised a fine boy here."

Both Rus and Jacklyn had a joyous look on their face as the ember had managed to connect, scorching the Starly. While Rus was getting ready to go for yet another attack, it seemed it was unnecessary as the Rockruff had made its way over, tackling them as well. Jacklyn was ecstatic saying, "way to go Rus! That's one down, and only two- three? - more to go!" Rus, however, was annoyed that the one he had been facing so far had been blindsided and defeated but a different pokemon. Looking towards the Rockruff, clearly seeing it as its next target, Jacklyn noticed this saying, "alright Rus. We'll take them out and then, that Hoppip shall be mine!" She emphatically pointed towards both Kanon and Oswald, as they seemed to be trying to trade the grass-type around, completely oblivious to any discussion the two were actually having about it. "Rus, Ember!" Nodding, the Lepash let loose yet another small burst of flames towards the Rockruff.

As Raijin started the process of drawing straws, she watched as both he and Jet moved to get their straws. Going last, the girl drew the last one, and presented it to the others as she done so. With each person now having a straw, and showing it to one another, it was evident that of the four Jet was the one with the shortest straw. "I suppose that settles that." With Jet now being saddled with Mr. E, that just left the three of them now needing another room. As they were looking at the straws, Kiyoko was attempting to think of how else to now split the rest of them up as Hypatia had come back from her swim. With Raijin being claimed for a room as well, it had seemed that all was solved. Quite like most of the others, however, both Jet and Raijin saw it fit to leave the room, only Kiyoko and Hypatia were left. The girl looked towards her, saying, "well...should we get something to eat?" Without really waiting for an answer, Kiyoko decided to make her way to the kitchen downstairs.

  5. Austin nodded, a large look of relief on his face as the group accepted to take the Jouran girl out of here. "No, the uh, the thanks is with me. I'm just sorry I couldn't do more for you all. But thanks again!"

While Rona had asked a simple question, Leon could only look on with anxiety as Raynor wholeheartedly and emphatically answered her question. Though the people of the town trusted the Iron Falcons, and ergo they were not put off by the resident shaman Ada, it was Ada that they were not wary of. The people were still obvious uncomfortable with the sight of dark magic in general, Leon not even sure where the man found the tome to begin with, and it was obvious by the already shifty glances Raynor's way were growing more anxious by the moment. Leon could see some people talking, though others trying to hush them, but the people of the town didn't seem keen on engaging the falcons and thus more dispersed away from them that moved towards them. Leon wasn't sure if that made him feel better or worse about the whole thing.

As Yue made her way over to him, asking if they had to run, the young leader wasn't quite sure he liked the phrasing and it only served to make him more nervous. All the same, he said, "well, it would probably be best if we got going, yes." Unfortunately, they were two short and needed to find them first. Thankfully, it seemed like the duo of Ada and Layne had a similar idea. Unfortunately, they had also been getting strange looks on their way over, though, this time the passerby's eyes seemed more focused on the unconscious body they had then the people themselves. Leon was no exception.

Thankfully, the cleric explained to him what was going on and his confusion was soon replace, or rather it went back to, anxiety as he had a firmer grasp on the situation at hand. "Well, I agree it'd be troublesome to leave her alone here..." With a sense of familiarity at the girl's situation, Leon nodded and said, "alright. Let's bring her along and get ready to go." As the two also explained to him their concerns of the strange gazes they were getting, Leon realized that they too must've been uncomfortable today with the boy saying, "right, I'll fill you about what's happened."

Date: 23rd of Aeis, Year  967, Fall
    Time: 11:36 AM
    Location: Iron Falcon Base, Aeora

Leon had been currently outside, near the stable, wondering what to do. While he seemed ready to try and start expanding the building a bit, he was clearly lost in thoughts. Rastarn had sent out a notice to find Jourans in Aeora. He had heard stories of those in Rastarn, and he was well aware that when it came to Jourans, there was no people that hated them more than those from  there. As such, Leon was worried it was likely more a hunt then a simple investigation. The idea gave him pause about what to do next, what jobs to accept, if any, and what he should actually do with the Jourans amongst them. This all lead to Leon merely standing there, wood at his feet, deep in thought.

Meanwhile, taking up Cassia's now unoccupied bed, the Jouran girl had spent the night on that. With more treatment from Layne throughout the rest of the day, he had been making good progress in getting her out of the near critical state that she had been in. This was only punctuated more so by the girl rustling around in the bed, making groans of pain as she slowly started to open her eyes. Wincing as she looked around, she simply let out a, "w-what...where....ow-ow-ow-" the girl cut her own questioning off as she tried to move in the bed, only to be reminded of how sore her body actually was.

"What?" That small, blunt statement, was all  that Marie could blurt out upon the revelation of the kids being here. Thinking it was pretty convenient, the girl's mood was pretty bright as Trevor made his way into the house and began looking around. This turned into a frown as the Flygon came back, however, revealing that they had gone off to the dangerous looking mountain in the distance. Looking back to the Flygon, then to the volcano, then back to the Flygon Marie let out yet another, "what?" Shaking her head from this stunning revelation, Marie asked, "isn't a mountain like that super dangerous?"

"I-It's only dangerous if H-Heatran gets t-too worked up. I-If he doesn't fight anyone." Trevor ruffled a hand nervously through his hair. "T-though no one has in a while."

"But they want to fight this Heatran person, right?"

    "They....they're ambitious."

Pouting at Trevor, in the show of an extreme lack of responsibility, Marie began waving her finger at the boy. "Well, you're in charge of them right? So you should do a better job of keeping them away from dangerous places like that."

    "Y-yes, I s-should." He agreed, looking ashamed.

Nodding, let out a small, "hmph," the girl simply said, "as long as you understand." Now was not the time to berate him on his lack of watchfulness of the troublemakers, especially since he agreed with her. Besides, she had a sinking feeling that the troublemakers themselves were in a good need of an ear pinching. A determined look on her face, the girl pointed towards the city and volcano saying, "lead the way Trevor!"

The Flygon stared towards her and the city, letting out a bit of a whimper, as he finally decided to open the door further and leave the safety of his home. Though the Flygon seemed to be taller than Marie had expected, no longer obscured by the door, this image was still betrayed by the young male hunching over and flinching at every noise.

As the duo made their way to the top of the library, Xia looked in awe at the shelves as Keres explained to her all the different things that she could find here. As the girl asked if she needed anything more from her, Xia thought about it for a moment. Shaking her head she said, "no. But...do you want to read something together?"

    "Read...together?"

"Yeah!" Xia nodded, a clear smile on her face as she continued. "I'm new to this whole reading thing so I don't really get it, but, it's probably super fun if you like it so much. And everything's even more fun when you do it with friend's right?"

"I don't know about that..." Keres said. "How would we...do that?"

"Hmmm..." Xia made her way over to the bookshelves, grabbing one from them. Opening the book, trying to think of what to do saying, "it looks like it'd be hard to read from the same one...but..." Putting it back she then seemed to realize something. "Oh, what if we just read from two copies of the same book!"

    "If...you wish."

Overjoyed by this, Xia grabbed two copies of a book on sharks and began reading them together with her new found friend. The girl seemed to take each new page with wonder and confusion on her face, marveling at every new little factoid she came across of the aquatic animals she had been familiar. In the midst of reading, the girl's watch seemed to make a noise, causing her to look at it. Seeing that there was a message, labeled from Morgan, Xia was glad to see that Morgan, Aria and Cyan were all hanging out together. While she wanted to answer the girl, Xia had absolutely no idea how to do so. Thankfully, she knew someone who was super smart that was right near her. "Hey, Keres. Do you know how to send words and stuff with this thing?"

As she asked this, Keres seemed to have some kind of look of realization on her face, but didn't say anything more on it as she told the girl how to use the messaging function of her watch. "Thanks Keres!" Looking at her watch, the  girl began  to type back to Morgan.

Hello there all kinds of fun places to go and do fun stuff like the sports stadium and the casino and i am at a library where theres lots and lots of books and stairs to climb and did you know that sharks never sleep but yeah those are a few of the fun places i can think of

The girl had attempted to retrieve a medal from the downed boy, essentially frisking the boy until she found the pocket where she figured they were. As she moved to take one of them out, the girl's fingers were stopped by something decidedly not a pocket, to which she merely seemed curious about what was going on. As the boy still seemed to be conscious, she figured this was related to the thing he had attempted to use to take her own medal off, though couldn't really tell the specifics behind it. All the same, it had seemed now that he would offer further resistance and fighting him as he were would be much more like thuggery, Yuuka's plan had seemed to hit a dead end. With Diana seeming to think so as well, Yuuka looked to the woman and said, "well, that sounds fine by me. Watanabe, was it? Do try to be less underhanded with your fellow classmates."

Turning to her team, the girl said, "well, I suppose this was a bit of a bust. Finding the badges, though, would probably be still too much effort for us as a group, so, shall we continue on with the plan or would you rather a different approach?"

With a pained expression on his face, Alois was having a tough time keeping pace. His feet were sore. His legs felt like they were on fire. And he himself was cold from the rainfall that was pouring down on them. Eventually, though, the group was met with a river that needed crossing. Of course, the river would prove much more difficult to do so, as it itself was roaring in the rain and the only way across seemed to be a broken old bridge. As the group mused about what to do next, Alois's attention was drawn to the bridge, as he suddenly realized why it had appeared so familiar to him.

As Shiro hopped across the water, Tsetseg looked in awe and seemed very excited as the frog made their way in and out of the river. She was a bit disappointed by Penelope's wish to instead set up shelter and stay the night where they were. "But what if we all leapt across the water like frogs?"

"Well sadly, only one of us is a giant frog." Alois chimed in. Tsetseg pouted at him, as the boy continued saying, "besides. The river will calm down when the rain stops and we- ," the boy shook his head, seeming irritable as he said, "and I don't want to do anymore walking for tonight." Making his way over to the younger princess, still annoyed he said, "alright, how do I set this shelter thing up."

Tsetesg, meanwhile, was looking at the edge of the water, trying to figure out how best to leap from one end of the river to the other.

Marie felt a bit bad for Trevor, as he certainly didn't seem very comfortable with a bunch of strangers at his door. As he turned his gaze towards Randy once more, asking if they were the bad guys, Marie gave a glance to him as well, readying her pinching fingers if need be. Thankfully, the Incineroar managed to keep his temper in check, and Marie seemed to be quite pleased with this. Trevor still didn't seem entirely as convinced, as he winced and ducked behind. "So you saw those two..." He looked over at Marie. Then back at Randy again. And purposefully stared at the floor.

Knowing those two as well, Marie looked curiously at the Flygon. "Do you know them, too?"

"They live here. Allie's friends. T-they went to look for her."

    "Are they here now?"

He shook his head. "Still gone. D-don't know when they'll be back. D-Did you need to find them too?"

Marie was a bit disappointed, hoping that the Tyranitar's friends would be able to help them find Allie, but there was nothing to be done about it. Shaking her head, she responded to Trevor, "we're just here to check up on Allie and her family." Thinking that Trevor was quite helpful, and that she still felt bad for him, Marie decided to try and help him feel less awkward around them. "But thanks for what you've told us so far Trevor, I know it must be a bit weird having people just come to your door and ask questions so here." Reaching into her pack, the young Brionne pulled out one of her sweet malasadas and gave it to him.

He inched closer and grabbed it curiously. "T-thank you." He says. "Um. Y-you don't intend to go into the city do you? T-they're pretty scary."

Thinking on it, while Allie wasn't here the Tyranitar was still concerned about all his girls. So, she looked to the others and then back to Trevor saying, "well, we still have to check up on the others right? So probably."

"W-well. A-about that." He looked uncomfortably at the others. "A-Allie left her sisters w-with me."

Nine couldn't help but feel very out of place where he was. While he was glad to see that Lok was feeling better, there was also something a bit unnerving about it all. Were it just being home making him back to this peppy self that had long been gone, or if there was something haunting about Alpha, he couldn't quite tell. All the same, all the people seemed to be crowding around him, asking him questions, as well as asking the others about them. However someone different from all the others, both in appearance and demeanor, had made his way over to the Houndoom. With Gwen introducing him as "The Enforcer" Nine looked at the strong looking Bisharp curiously. With the man trying to find out why he was here, Nine merely smiled and said, "just visiting a friend's home is all."

    "Is that all you want?"

He was blunt. Concise. And there was definitely a right and wrong answer to his questions. In some respects, Nine was reminded of Kushiel from this Bisharp, but held his ground all the same. Shrugging, he said, "I can't say for certain. After all," he cordially bowed and gestured towards Gwen, "I'm here on the whim of the Miss."

With little room for nonsense to be had, the Enforcer leaned in closer towards Nine. "What do you know?"

Breaking his playful demeanor, now feeling both inquisitive and as if he were being threatened, Nine raised an eyebrow. "Is there something I should know."

"No." The blunt answer came from the Bisharp as he looked to Gwen. "There is not. I don't need anything else from you."

Knowing that he was definitely hiding something from him, Nine's playful smirk emerged once more as he said, "well, then a pleasure speaking you with Enforcer. Name's Nine by the way. I hope we can continue to get along."

    "Tch."

What a refreshing breath of hostility.

As the duo got to the elevator, much to Xia's dismay that she would not be able to best the staircase, they stopped as the door opened up. Seeing the massive woman walk out of the elevator, Xia was in awe at the tall woman's stature. However, this awe was soon replaced with a friendly look and a nod as she talked about how friendly Keres was.  "She sure is! After all, she's teaching me all about books. Oh," holding her hand out to shake towards the woman she said, "I'm Xia. Nice to meet you!"

The woman reached out and clasped Xia's upper arm and hand in her own hand. "And I Frigg."

Cheerily shaking arm and hand with the woman she said, "oh, do you also like books and stairs, Frigg?"

"Well, stairs aren't so easy for me. Not many of them can hold my weight." She laughed. "But I do enjoy knowledge."

"That's a shame." Xia nodded at this, before asking, "well, what kind of books do you like?"

"All of them of course. I've read them so many of them already. I wouldn't have put them here otherwise."

"Whooooa." Xia seems marveled by this, looking around the place as she said that. "That sounds hard. But, you and Keres must be great friends then!"

She smiles, and looks at Keres. "I'd like to think so. Unfortunately it's always so hard to tell with this one."

Xia looked to the girl but says, "well, she's really nice so I'm sure you are too. Now, I need to go learn more about fish. So nice meeting you Frigg!"

"Likewise. Come back to talk to me whenever. You're certainly an unusual one."

Cheerily waving to the woman she said, "will do Frigg." Looking back to the smaller girl she said, "let's go Keres. We have fish to read about!"

  12. a8cPQwE.png

As the fight continued, Jacklyn didn't pay much mind to what Po had been doing, now instead focused on the Hoppip that joined the battle. As the Rockruff seemed to move towards it, Jacklyn merely said, "oh no you don't. That Hoppip shall be mine! Rus, ember!" Of course, Rus merely seemed confused and annoyed by his trainer's orders, not at all wanting to switch targets from the Starly that had just struck him. During this moment, the Starly had come in with a swift strike, slamming into Rus yet again and knokcing it back. "Rus!" Jacklyn looked confused as to how this happened, only for the Lepash to look back to her, also annoyed. Looking to the Starly she said, "fine, ember!" Hardly waiting for her to give the OK, the Lepash shot yet another small burst of flames towards the Starly.

  13. x0mgaxu.png?1

Alois could only help but smirk as the princess talked about having "misplaced" her own entourage. However, it had seemed that Gunther had met someone before who probably knew this girl, which caused Alois to get even more confused about the origins of this possible time traveler. As she turned to the boy and asked him about Ithome he thought about it for a moment. "Well, probably not the direction you were headed." Trying to think of where exactly they were he said, "probably south west. It's on top of three mountains, so if you passed the cities on mountains you've gone too far." Before their conversation could continue further, the boy's attention was drawn to the Abbot and the visions that followed.

As the whole gruesome scene played out, Alois could only stand still in some shock. He was unsure what to make of the whole thing, merely that the whole of the battle had been nothing more than a slaughter. As the spirits had faded from the old and abandoned building, Alois couldn't help but feel as though something was now missing and empty about the place they were at. Not saying much as Gunther had decided to go and process what had just happened, he simply nodded as L'Arachel stated what she had, similarly solemn to her.

Meanwhile, any energy that Tsetseg had had seemed to be deflated after the visions they experienced. Instead, she seemed to go back to silent mulling, trying to process what was going on yet again.

  14. ZzcS3Rf.png

A bit sad to see the trip end, Nine merely waved Quincy goodbye, thanking her for the ride once they had reached their destination. Just on the outskirts of the ghost's home town, Nine felt a bit unnerved. Though he wanted to leave no stone unturned on his chasing journey, this town had always given him the creeps. The sharp contrast between where they were and where they were going, Nine could only feel that they were moving into the land of death itself. All the same, Gwen had been keen on coming here, and there was something about this town and her that concerned him greatly. So, resolving himself to cross the line, he stepped forward with the rest of the group. Only to be immediately caught off guard as Gwen had suddenly passed out.

"Gwen!" Moving to her side as she did so, the Houndoom waited by the girl's side until she woke back up. While she tried to assure him, the Houndoom's concern for her was still present. All the same, he gave a small smile to her saying, "yeah, I can't wait to see your home either." Making their way into the town, having help from the two ghosts to get over the fence, the unnerving feeling and offness of the rest of the area did not seem to wain. As they had made their way into the center of the town, they were soon assailed by a mob of friendly locals, who seemed very curious about both he and Kayla. Merely introducing himself, telling the locals he was fine and friends of the two ghosts. Looking over to the amidst the crowd, he asked both Gwen and Lok, "home sweet home?"

    DcxYSU0.png?1

While the others shared Marie's curiosity about the building in question, they seemed fine to just observe it. Curious about the building herself, the girl lead the charge in getting up to it. Knocking on the door, Marie simply stood idly by as she waited for someone to come to the door. As she did, she could feel an immeasurable presence, a being of untouchable power, as if the eye of the cosmos was looking from within the building out towards them all. Or it a case of anxiety and nervousness. One of those two.

Marie was glad to see that it was the latter, though was a bit concerned that he was so jumpy at the sight of them. As the others asked their questions and assured him they weren't looking to beat him up, the Brionne realized something as she said, "oh, right. We should introduce ourselves. I'm Marie, and we're trying our best to not look for too much trouble. Um, so who are you?"

  15. Despite the lumber shop's owner assurance that things were fine. While Leon was always aware of the danger of having Jourans around, he had only thought about it in a sense for the business. He had known it might've been difficult to obtain jobs or that they might not have had the warmest welcoming. Never, naively enough, did he think about what would happen if the government caught wind of this. Of course, the Falcons had been around for a few months now, so he figured it likely wasn't about them. Or, at least about Rona and Ada. All the same Rona didn't seem to be bothered by it, outwardly at least, and he didn't want to make her worry either. Simply lifting the wood up as well, he nodded, and said, "right." Giving a smile he said, "then I'm sure they'll appreciate the other things we got." He gestured to the food and supplies.

As the trio was beginning to leave the shop, Leon briefly got the glimpse of a small, delicate looking, white haired girl. Though he didn't get a good enough look at her, he was left a bit confused as the person soon turned into a white blur, moving quickly away from them. Looking to Rona he, with some confusion, asked, "was that Yue?" With a slight bit of concern, Leon began to lead the other two with him, following in the direction of the possibly Yue girl.

Getting to the other two, Leon had realized that things were likely not any better for Raynor then they had been for them. More so, Raynor would have been able to see a bit more concerned and perhaps frightful glances then Rona had. All the same, no one seemed to confront him, likely in part because of his look and lizard. Once Leon had met back up with him, he asked, "Raynor, Yue. Is um, is everything alright?"

Austin let out a sigh of relief as Layne seemed to be  willing to heal the girl. He looked to Ada, saying, "well, um, she didn't come to us. We found her, outside of town. I, well, I can't say what happened to her but she was like this when we found her." He then perked up further as Ada mentioned taking her back with them. "Oh, would uh, would you be able to? It'd be a huge help because if anyone from Rastarn were to uh...yeah, it would be a big problem."

Meanwhile, Layne would be able to tell that the girl was indeed beginning to feel better. Her rather weak breathing began to revitalize, if only slightly, and the wounds covering her began to lessen in severity and number. Though, she was still unconscious and still seemed worse for wear.

    Character Personality

    Spoiler

Avery appears as an average high school girl. Her grades are just good enough to be passing, but not bad enough to be of concern. When it comes to athletics she is always middle of the pack. She always seems to have a neutral expression on her face, tending to have a level tone in her voice. She seems to have about as much interest in what's going on in class as the next person, and when talked to by people, seems to pay with about as much attention as is needed to keep the flow of the conversation going. She is helpful, though generally only to the point of doing what was asked of her. She is social enough, speaking when spoken to, but hardly ever with the reverse being true, and seems easy going and thick skinned enough to be a generally good social partner with anyone. She is never the type to take charge of a group. When asked what she did over the weekend, she'd merely say she was out shopping with friends, but as to who these friends are or where she was shopping, it's a mystery. Above all else, Avery is bored.

Avery is a quite skilled at lying, wearing more a mask in her school life than anything else. She believes that the safest way to go through life is to not stand out at all, and to that end, she has crafted herself a perfectly normal visage. However, this also comes at the cost of her burying her real passion; a fervent love for the occult. She has always had a love for things that involve monsters, magic, and all sorts of strange things, and wishes to find these things in real life. She believes reality to be kind of boring, and always wishes for their to be something more to it, whether it something like a zombie apocalypse or alien invasion. While this is the hobby she has chosen to devote herself to, Avery is incredibly secretive about it, and is a closed book to even her parents.

While Avery's fake normal visage might make acquaintances easily, she has hardly, if ever, made any real friends. In addition to being secretive about herself, she does not trust others very easily. She has the idea that anyone who knows about her would think her too weird to like, and finds interacting with others to be very stressful and nerve wracking. Avery is somewhat manic. Just as she could get easily excited or exuberant about someone being nice or friendly to her, she has an immediate reaction of skepticism to such things. She is vindictive towards those that she feels wrongs or annoys her, though this is a very passing feeling and she does not often hold grudges. If made fun of, however, she starts to become far more anxious and self doubting, rather than angry. Lastly she's an incredibly obsessive person. If something, or someone, piques her interest she becomes very obsessed with learning more about them. While this can seem as a bit overzealous when directed towards something, if directed at someone it can come off as creepy or stalkerish, even if harmless in nature.

    Character Biography

    Spoiler

Avery was born to a working class family in the city of New York. Growing up, as both her parents had often been busy with work, more often than not, Avery found herself home alone. At first, this was merely occupying her time with whatever was around; that being watching some movies her family had lying around. The first ones that she had watched happened to be in the horror genre, but rather than being terrified by such things, the girl found herself enraptured by them. At first being unable to tell fact from fiction, she found them both incredibly interesting and herself wanting to figure out how such things were possible. As such, from an early age, the girl spent a good deal of her time on the internet, trying to understand the things that she saw and replicate them. Of course, this was met with no success whatsoever, however, the girl was not discouraged and in fact just turned this failure into more fuel for her passion. While her parents were a bit concerned by this somewhat macabre fascination their young daughter had, they merely thought it a phase and let it happen.

The more Avery became fixated on the paranormal, the more it started to bleed into her school life. While at first people simply found her a bit strange, the more involved and slightly creepy she got the worst their perceptions of her became. At first people started to shy away from her, though as time passed this turned more into flat out rejection or dissociation with her. Eventually, this turned into straight up harassment of Avery, that ended up following her throughout most of her school life. Growing more stifled by the reality she had to face, the girl started to retreat more and more into her hobby, finding sanctuary within it. While her parents were growing more and more concerned with this, luck would have it that her parents were being relocated for their work, to New Orleans.

Moving to a new place, her parents figured this would be a good place to start over for her and so they encouraged her to be more normal. Not wanting to go through the same thing twice, Avery figured she was at fault, and so did extensive changes to herself to try to fit in more. By the time she had began attending school, to both her parents and anyone who had ever met her, Avery Moreaux was an entirely different person. While she found success in trying to play the part of a normal school girl, she also started to find it incredibly boring. And, try as she might, she could never actually let go of her one true hobby.

  17. As Reinaan made his way up to the spire of rock and the demon gate, the girl began making her way towards the halfling. With her arm limp at her side, as she saw the bite mark on the small girl's body, Ryia grimaced, but wasn't entirely sure what to do about it. She was neither a doctor nor was she sure what kind of medical supplies they had on them. As such, the only thing that Ryia could really do was make sure that they were safe from any other dangers. Practically collapsing as she sat down next to the unconscious halfling and ram, the girl attempted catching her breath as she started to feel the heat press on her far more than before. Looking to the spire of rocks, the girl bit down on her lip in frustration as she looked up.

An uneasy feeling washing over Ryia as she looked at the black sphere atop the spire, she knew that it was what they were here to stop. She knew that they were so close to fulfilling their first mission to stop the demons. And yet, all she could now was sit and wait. She was slow, injured, in metal and exhausted. As she looked at the mass of flames darting from place to place atop the rocks, she knew that she would do nothing but get in the way. That she had to leave it to the others. Yet, it was still frustrating.

  18. Yushiro vs Jun

“If you don’t mind making a mess of the place, sure. I have my disk on me. You have yours?” Yushiro put his duel disk on and activated it; its green blade reflecting light off of his clothes.

“Silly Shiro, as Co-Captain of the duel team,” Jun rolled up her sleeve, revealing her disk underneath it, “I always have it on me.” Activating the device, the blade, with colors shifting like that of a rainbow, lit up. “As you’re the challenger here, you get to decide who goes first.”

“Cute duel disk, uhh…” He paused, realizing that he didn’t know her name. “I actually don’t know what I should call you. Tell you what: you can go first if you tell me your name.”

Yushiro would see a faint hint of a smirk crossing her face for a moment as she went back to smiling brightly saying, “well, with conditions like that, you can call me Jun. Jun Shui. Most people leave out the Shui. Now, let’s duel!” Drawing her first five cards, Jun didn't quite seem to care about the mess they were bound to make for all of the other club members. “I’ll start by setting two cards face-down, and summoning a monster face-down. That’ll be my turn.” As she said this, she seemed looked as though she just remembered something saying, “oh, and Shiro. Try to have some fun with this duel, but, also try your best.”

“I always try my best, Juju.” Yushiro fired back. If she wouldn’t get his name right, he’d respond in kind. “Draw!.” He looked through his hand for a moment, a move plainly obvious to him. “First, I’ll set two cards face-down, and then I’ll normal summon this: Speedroid Pachingo-Kart!”

    ATK: 1800 Level: 4

“And now, I’ll activate its special ability. I’ll discard Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice from my hand, and in doing so, I get to destroy one monster on the field. So let’s get rid of your set monster, eh?”

“Oh, nice opening. Unfortunately,” as the card was flipped up, it reveal a white serpentine like dragon, that was then swiftly destroyed. “When Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, I can special summon 1 Yang Zing monster from my deck to the field. So, come forth, Bixi, Yang Zing of Water.” As she called out its name, a strange mix of a blue turtle and dragon took to the field.

    DEF: 2000, Level: 2

“Not bad. Guess I won’t get to take a round 1 shot at your life points after all. It’s your move then.” Yushiro shrugged.

“Then my turn!” Drawing her card, the girl then started with, “well, first I’ll activate the spell card Supply Squad. Next, I summon Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing in attack mode.”

    ATK: 1900, Level: 4

“Let’s see if I have any more luck than you did. Go, Suanni, attack Pachingo-Kart!” As the red lion dragon was issued its command, it took in a deep breath, before expelling a large gout of fire at the toy machine. The impact sent a blast of wind outward as panchingo-kart’s hologram shattered.

    LP: 8000->7900

Raising an eyebrow as her attack managed to go through, this was swiftly replaced as the girl let out a cheerful, “looks like I was luckier. Well, I don’t have much left, so your turn Shiro.”

As Natsumi turned to her and requested that she be her roommate, Kiyoko simply shrugged and said, "alright then. That is fine." As the rest seemed mostly ambivalent about where they were going to room, much like herself, Zirco and Leiko soon had another spat with each other. Kiyoko shared the frustrations that Zirco had with the girl, and Kiyoko was still not entirely sure where all the hesitancy that Leiko had was coming from. All the same, as the two's conversation seemed to develop, it became evident that Zirco's challenge was changing from a test to simply a means to take out his frustration at her. This had irritated her, sure, and felt more like a form of bullying that she was reminded of. Yet, all the same, she was certain that someone being angry would be the least of the issues that they would have to deal with, and that as one of the signers it was Leiko's duty to solve her problems, not be protected from them.

As such, Shannon's idea to handle the situation herself did not sit well with Kiyoko. Giving a stern look, her gaze drifted between the two of them as it settled on Leiko. With a stern voice she simply asked, "is this really ok?" Once they were gone, the girl turned back to the others, a strange feeling that she was missing something else as she looked between the rest of the group, and at Damien's own suggestion she followed with, "I'll also fill in for the other missing person. You two," she looked to Jet and Raijin, saying, "get over here." Looking back to Damien, still serious though with a hint of curiosity she asked, "so how does this work?"

Alois was only made more confused the more L'arachel explained about herself. At first, he was sure she was some kind of Pontic. However, as she had described herself from being somewhere that the boy did not recognize, and was a princess of this not Pontus area, he was only growing more confused with the girl by the moment. Never mind the way she spoke, which only caused Alois to give her the same kind of confused look he was often seen giving to either Ciela or Edrick. Raising his eyebrow at the girl's comments and her "divine radiance," when asked about Cat's "vassal" Alois looked over to see who she was talking about, saying, "are you -". He was cut off, however, as he got a better look at him. While the clothes were very familiar, the body that inhabited them made Alois do a quick double take of the man.

Figuring it was Link, though still not one hundred percent sure, he was about to respond once more when Gunther had wandered over to them. Alois shuddered at the mention of their time in the house in the woods, simply mentioning back, "at this rate, probably. Might be lost to time like the rest of what that Abbot was talking about." Being interrupted by L'Arachel, as Gunther turned back to him he said, "not much protocol out in the woods, your divine radianceness. Besides, it's fine. If you can guard a book you can guard a princess." Looking at her, eyebrow raised he said, "what about you, 'Princess?' Not very keen on protocol yourself, or does a holy divine smiter of all evil in the world not need a vassal or knight or whatever." Looking to her steed he jokingly asked, "are you her guard?"

As the fight got underway, Jacklyn pumped her fist into the air as she managed to score a direct hit on the Starly, saying, "way to go Rus!" The Lepash, however was more concerned with the Rockruff now charging it. Seeing this, Jacklyn shouted to her pokemon again saying, "alright Rus, dodge and use Ember on that other guy!" Nodding, Rus took dodging to using the spring in his little legs to attempt to jump up and over the Rockruff, firing a blast of embers at the charging pokemon as it did so. While it was starting to gain height, it was soon surprised by a collision from the much swifter Starly that slammed into his side and knocked him out of the air and to the side.

Clicking her tongue at the sight of what was transpiring, Jacklyn got ready to give another call to her pokemon, only to see a Hoppip appear. She looked at it, confused expression evident on her face as she tried to figure out what it was doing here. No one else had sent out another pokemon, and as far as she knew it wasn't Belle's. Unless Belle had a lot of grass types. Jacklyn stopped to think for a moment, realizing she was the only one on her team without a grass-type. At this realization, her gaze became more determined as she fixated on the Hoppip.

  22. As the stuttery church hand was brought up on his feet, he was glad to hear that the young cleric agreed to help him and similarly glad that Ada decided to join him. "Alright, swell - awesome. Follow me." He started to make his way towards the local church of the town, talking on the way saying, "alright, see the problem, it's a bit - a bit sensitive. So, one of the hunters left town one day, you know hunting things and well, he found someone." He paused for a bit, looking around before saying, "well, they were pretty injured and we don't really have a healer here to take care of them. Normally, if this happened we'd well, we'd send for help from a place that does but uh...well, that's not possible this time."

As the group emptied the, empty, church it would be similar to most of its kind in Aeora, if not on the smaller scale. A wood and stone building with glass panes to let in light, and furthest from the door was a stand where the head priest was likely to give his sermons. Behind that was a stone statue in the likeness of the Archsage, Roa, smiling while holding an open tome in one hand and a staff in the other. Aside from that, the rest of the church only had wooden pews facing this section, though one seemed to have someone laying on it. Upon getting closer to them, the group would see the form a of black haired female lying down, wearing a tattered cloak that was not dissimilar to what Ada had come to Aeora with. Beyond that, her long black hair seemed to be in disarray and her skin seemed bruised and dirty, with some dirt and grass stains across her clothing. The most distinctive feature about her though, was her face being recognizably Jouran.

"As uh, as you can see it's not really possible to get another healer for her. And with the new warrant in place I'd - well, it'd only bring trouble to the town. But, I can't just leave someone like that alone so, well," he looked to Layne clasping his hands together, "could you?"

  23. Hmm, well in general i'm more an infantry fan then I am of any other kind of mount. But if I had to pick a mount it'd be a Kinshi, because those are rad as hell. Wyverns are also cool.

As for stats, it'd probably be high speed, low defense, mixed atk and def, high res medium HP, average skill/luck. Physical Weapon would be a dagger or bow and magic would be anima. In dagger case it'd be Spell Thief and in bow case it'd be Spell Hunter. If it used a dagger it would not be a flier though. There's your pseudo answer.

As Tsetseg continued to have the gears whir in her head about what was going on here, one of the Awakened walked over to her. The girl looked over to the undead, now much more comfortable around them then she had been before, as she listened to what they had to say. "Home...Family...Home...Family...." the girl muttered to herself as she began to think more on it. "Aha!" She shouted aloud, looking to the Abbot, Ciela and Edrick. Bounding her way over, she said, "guys, guys, guys. I got it!" She pointed to herself stating, "see, back home, there's two groups of people. There's like my people who are all nice and stuff, and then there's the other big tribe that's all burly and mean. And we used to not like each other lot - well, they're still mean but not as mean - but it's because they were lead by a mean person and we were lead by a nice person."

As she spouted this brief history lesson, she looked at everyone, likely confused at what she was trying to get at before saying, "so, they were from my home, but not my family. Since my family was the other tribe. And see, see. You all here are family, and those other wakey guys were also their own family which means they're probably different families!" Still not entirely getting anywhere the girl finally said, "so, what if there's not one family head but two! One mean family head and another nicer one. One that likes to be all, 'rawr I'll kill everything and kill you with their killed,' and the other that's like, 'everyone lives!' Well?" With that, the girl looked expectantly at everyone, having just rattled off her grand theory.
