1. "Well, now that everyone is here," The white haired man said as he snapped his book shut, the sound echoing through the halls of the prison and the large empty mess hall they were in. "Now, just to recap for everyone, we have...," he waved his hand in the air, and suddenly, a wooden wand with vines and flowers wrapped around it appeared in it. "This is Zirco, the bearer of Right Wing," he said, tapping the wand on the blond boy's head. "He might look rough, but I've been told he's a sweetheart,"

"Oy, oy, don't touch the hair!" Zirco complained as he quickly scruffed up his hair. The white hair man ignored him and moved on, spinning like a ballerina as he moved to the next person.

"This is Natsumi, bearer of the Foot," He said, his spinning coming to a halt as he tapped her shoulder. "It's certainly funny, in a dark humor sort of way," He added, rubbing his chin. "Actually, it's probably more morbid," He shrugged and moved on, tapping Kiyoko on the shoulder. "And here we have the bearer of the Tail, Kiyoko," He smiled before going. "I suppose I shouldn't do my usual bullying, or she'll whip me into shape with that tail," He smiled and moved on, tapping Shannon on the head. "And this is Shannon, bearer of the Head. It seems that knowledge went up to hers, but hey, that's okay," There was a cough from the corner, and Yamada spoke up.

"This is fun and all, but don't you think you should tell them why they're here?" She asked. The white haired man held a hand to his chin and let out an exaggerated sigh.

"I suppose I could, but, this way is much more fun," He finally stated with a smile. He walked over to Tora, tapping her head with his wand. "This is Tora, bearer of the Claw, and I'm sure she knows how to use them," He skipped over to his next target, pausing before touching her with his wand. Looking at the space behind her, he seemed to ponder on this a bit before deciding against it. "This is Hotaru, bearer of the Left Wing. I'd do a silly pun, but... it seems like he wouldn't appreciate it," he commented as he pointed the wooden stick at the space behind Hotaru. He then quickly recoiled from his spot, like something had lashed out at him. "Okay, okay, I'm going. Down boy, I'm not doing anything else to her,"

He walked away, muttering something before he went over to Raijin, tapping his head. "This is Raijin, the one with the Body Mark. As you can see, he certainly looks like he could be the body of a dragon," he teased before moving on. "This here is Jet, the one with the Mark of Heart, which he wears on his sleeve, if you know what I mean," he moved two seats over to tap Leiko on the head. "This is Leiko, Bearer of the Wings. Yes, Wings, plural. I'm assuming she has the head wings, because have the butt ones would be weeeeeird," he spun off, stopping by Octavia. "This lovely young lady is Octavia, also a bearer of the heart. We have two them. There's a logical reason for it, but I don't feel like explaining it. I barely want to explain what I do have to explain," He walked over to the final person. "And this, this is Hypatia, bearer of the Mark of the Eye," He said as he poked her forehead. "I... don't many eye puns, I'll admit," he said.

He then walked to the front to the room. "And finally we have---," He paused, looking around the room. "Hold on, we seem to be missing someone," He stroked his chin, closing his eyes. "Where is Biggus Dickus, bearer of the Left Nut?" he asked with a completely straight face. "I could have sworn Biggus Dickus was also a success...," He reached into his cloak, pulling out a PDA. "Let's see, Biggus Dickus... Biggus... there we go," He took a quick read, and his expression morphed into one of confusion. "O-oh... he passed on this morning. Died of... well... well then, I certainly didn't think one could die of that. How odd," he put away the PDA and sighed. "Well, so much that...,"

"So now will you---," Yamada asked before the man waved his hand at her.

"Yes, yes, I will, calm down, Hakuna Yamada, I'm on it," He said, to which Zirco let out a snort, doing his best to hold back a laugh.

"I like this guy," Zirco let out as the white haired man cleared his throat.

"I am known as the Magus of Knowledge, but you can call me Mr. E," he said with a bow. "I will be you new 'handler' as it where. I want you all to rely on me," His tone lost it's playful edge, instead replaced by sincerity. "You all will be faced with more trials and tribulations, so I hope I can help you in any way I can," He then looked up. "Especially concerning love. You're always welcome to receive my consultation," his playful tone returned when he said that. He stood back up straight and smiled.

"As for why you're here, well, I suppose you can call this the next stage of your tests," He explained as he folded his arms, tilting his head. "It'll be the hardest thing you all have faced, but I believe in you. You've been gathered here to...," He then smiled and threw out his arms, confetti flying out from his sleeves and filling the air. "have a sluuuuuuuuuuumber paaaaaaarty!!!" He said in a sing song voice as balloons began to fall from the ceiling and very cheerful music began to play. He looked down at the group, smiling as he watched their various reactions. "It may sound like a joke, but it's not," He said as he placed his hands down by his side. "You all will live here from now on, learning how to work together and interacting with people in general," He rubbed his chin. "I know this used to be a prison, but we've converted it into very comfortable dorms for the lot of you. Now, we just have to wait for one more person to show up... any questions until then? And, also, feel free to talk among yourselves. Who knows when Mr. Kaiba will get here?"

So, feel free to have your characters react and ask questions. If you want to ask Mr. E a question, DM me on Discord and I'll get you an answer you can put in your post

  2. Herc looked over to the small (well, everyone was small compared to him) boy that approached him. “Excuse me, mister. . . beetle guy. I’m glad you are one to make this exam more exciting than what it needs to be but hear me out on this, what if we just have a party for those who make it into the hero classes? I mean it is already a competition already, no need to make a forest fire out of bed of coals. However, I can’t stop you from you making it harder than it needs to be, but I wish you luck.”

"Whoa, man, Mr. Beetle Guy is my father. Just call me Beetle Man," Herc said with a grin. "Anyways, good luck to you to buddy,"

"Oh, you're on beetle man!" Suda scratched his chin, grinning. "I'll have to think of a suitable act for you to perform later." Suda turned to the other boy that had joined. He gave him a small frown. "You're no fun" He said, before shrugging. He took another look around him. "Doesn't look like anyone else is takin' the bet." He shrugged. "Guess it's just you and me, big guy."

"Alright, sounds good. We'll see ya back here then," Herc said as he began to stretch again. He then heard the announcement, and made a choice. He'd go last. After all, if people were so worried, he should let them be reassured. It wasn't like he couldn't make up for the lost ground. When everyone went through, Herc finally walked up. "I'm your friendly neighborhood Beetle Man!" He jabbed a thumb to his own chest. "Or, you know, you can call me by my name, Herc Coleo," They handed him a badge, which he looked at. Everyone seemed to think it was heavy, but it seemed normal to him. He shrugged and placed it in his pocket. Time to get to work.

Thinking to himself, he headed to the city. People probably expected to see a giant bug in the forest, so why not go to the city? He could blindside someone there, at the very least. He didn't run into anyone on the way there... it seemed everyone else had headed deep into the city while he was still on the outskirts. Well, he supposed it could be worse. This slower pace let him notice things... like the giant car pileup not too far from him. That seemed like a good place to hide a badge, right?

He got to work, carefully lifting the cars, making sure to lift with his legs instead of his back. It took a few minutes, but he got down to three more cars when he saw a badge under one of the cars. "Bingo," he muttered as he picked up that car. He was surprised no one tried to get this one. Was no one as physically strong as him? He figured super strength would be a basic quirk...

  3. Faytl

    Spoiler

Saiku: I liked it before, and making her an orphan makes her much better. I like the angle of her being untrusting and actually curious on what's going on. Overall, much better.

    ArgosPanoptes

    Spoiler

Saiku: I... well, it's definite improvement, I applaud you for that. However... it's still not up to snuff compared to everyone else. I like the Dino deck, that's a much better choice. The real issue is here, is that the personality you've chosen is not very good for RP. If this was a fanfic, it would work out well, but instead of one author, we have like, 10. It doesn't really work.

    Spoiler

You bent over backwards for us, and it works. She's much more usable now. Good job.

    Kazooie

    Spoiler

Well, you are the best new app we have (not to mention only one) and dammit, this is good. Very good. Like, 9-10/10. No complaints. Good job.

  4. Kazo was busy flicking dirt off of the bowl, so busy in fact that he didn't notice that a woman had walked up to them until she began to speak. Kazo let out a little fearful yelp, his suddenly jerky movements causing the bowl to fly up into the air, spinning until it landed perfectly on Kazo's head. He bashfully and quickly took the bowl off of his head as the woman continued.

"I, too, am fairly new to this city." The woman said. "But I assure you they are rather welcoming most of the time."

"Y-yeah, we seem to bring the worst out of cities...," Kazo muttered, remembering the last few towns they were in.

"Is it fine if she goes up and gets another bowl?" Ari spoke up, causing Kazo to nod.

"Y-yeah, she didn't get to eat, after all," Kazo added. Hopefully they could.

"Nevertheless we would prefer she stay at our side. Princess, we know that Gisei stole you from your home but you don't have to fear now, we will bring you back to your father." One of the soldiers stated.

"Gigi didn't steal me! He protected me! Mamma told him to!" Dora defended. Denku had no idea if this was true or not.

The soldiers hesitated, then one shook his head. "I'm sure that you're right." He said, clearly not believing it. "But we should go now. Your father has been worried."

The other looked to the group. "We can escort you back to the surface if you wish."

"No thank you," Easter replied, smiling brightly. "How could we pass up the chance to visit your fair city? Plus, I can't see us wanting to separate from Dora so suddenly. No, if it's fine with you, we'd like to continue to Merm."

"Yeah, we've stuck with the squirt for this long, rather not abandon her right out of the blue," Denku added. "I hear Merm's nice this time of year, let's confirm it,"

Season 1, Episode 1: Go and Gather all the Stars

Domino City. A city that has stood the test of time, surviving many onslaughts of the forces of evil, and the forces of ego. It stands as a shining monument to the game of Duel Monsters, being home of Kaiba Corp, the largest and only distributor of the game.

Reffo City. The smallest city of them all. It's a peaceful place, with the most non-duelists in the world. Famous for its inns and restaurants, it is the perfect place for retirement.

Taccon City. A city of wealth and knowledge. Academia relocated to this city, and has been teaching many the art of dueling. Many bright and powerful duelists come from their doors.

Turbo City. The center of Turbo Dueling, and the keeper of the Momentum Reactor. Life here is fast paced, and never slowing down, with card games on motorcycles running rampant on the streets.

Hearthome City. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. The local government is in shambles, being ran by the local gangs. However, a light shines in the dark hour...

Cradle City. A city where dreams can come true, or where they can be crushed in the blink of an eye. This is where stars are born, and where they show the world what they're made of.

Each city is different, but they have one thing in common. Secret experiments have been conducted in every city, and now the fruits of those labors were coming together...

    5:13 AM, Domino City

The sun was barely rising over the horizon, but the CEO of Kaiba Corps was already filled with turmoil. The man was barely in his twenties, and he swore all this work would kill him. He sat behind his desk, his sunglasses covered eyes scanning over reports and notes. He couldn't believe it. He literally had inherited Kaiba Corp for over a month and all hell was already breaking loose. With everything going on in the world... and the old Signers missing... he'd have to do something he never wanted to do... Taking a deep breath, he grabbed his phone, calling up a secret number.

"Yes, this is Blues Kaiba. Initiate Project Crimson,"

    5:37 AM, Reffo City
Tucked away in the corner of Reffo City, there was a business simply known as "Tenjoin Barbershop". The people would find themselves here, getting haircuts and generally having a pleasant day. What they didn't know was that beneath the surface, far below where people could see, there was a lab, inhabited by a few scientists and one lone teen. Said teen was awake despite of the fact it was so early, due to the pain in his right shoulder, the one that marked him as both something special and something rejected...

Zirco looked at the walls, the dull, blank, white walls. For the past thirteen years, these walls were both his prison, and the only place he was truly safe. There was only a bed and a bathroom here... there wasn't even a TV here. However, he was told now that his mark, the Right Wing, had manifested, he would be able to leave this place, to meet others like him. Granted, he was told that over a month ago, but it would happen... soon...

The door to his room swung wide open, causing Zirco to look up. His handler, a younger woman in a business suit stood at the doorway, her arms folding as she stared at the shirtless teen, obviously waiting for him to wake up. Zirco only groaned and picked up his pillow, weakly tossing it at the woman.

"Oy, oy, c'mon Hakuna Yamada, the experiments were done over a month ago. You don't gotta wake me up this early," Zirco muttered. He only grinned as he heard Yamada inhale sharply, obviously trying not to snap back a comeback.

"Look, it's time. You're going to meet the others today," She managed to say, causing Zirco to sit up. "I'll expect you to be ready in fifteen minutes," Zirco's grin only grew wider as he leapt out of his bed, clad only in boxers.

"Ya got it, Ms. Yamada!" He said before rushing off to get ready. Yamada shook her head, smiling a little before she headed out. It was barely 10 minutes later when Zirco rushed out, showered and dressed in his best clothes, ready to go.

    7:26 AM, Satellite
Zirco wasn't sure where they were going, but they sure were going there in a hurry. They made it to Domino City, and he expected them to stop somewhere in the city, but it seemed that was not the way it was going to go down. They instead began to drive across the old Daedalus Bridge, headed to the Satellite district. Zicro had heard stories of this place, how a man named "Yusei Fudo" grew up here and how he would match him but... that's all they were to him, stories. Did the guy even exist?

They drove to an old building, one that looked a bit rundown to be honest. It had large walls surrounding the yard of it lined with old, rusted barbed wire. It looked like an old prison... actually, come to think about it, he was sure he read the word 'Prison' on the sign they passed by as they went through the gates. Aw crap...

He was soon ushered inside, where he could see old cells and the like lining the walls. It was a prison! Son of a---. Before Zirco could make a run for it, however, he heard a voice call out.

"Ah, the first one here...," The voice itself was playful sounding, all while being soft and mysterious sounding. Zirco then noticed the speaker, a a snow white haired man with a white cloak and playful looking eyes. "Zirco, the bearer of the Right Wing, right? Interesting, very interesting," He went back to reading his book. "Well, let me know when the others are here. We'll start answering questions then," He lazily waved a hand to a large round table, one looking as if it was to seat 10 people. Zirco looked confused, but he took a look at Yamada, who nodded to him, so he flopped down at a seat, leaning back and placing his feet on the table.

"Alright, Snow Rabbit, I'll do whatcha say for now, but this better be good," Zirco finally said.

    Spoiler

Alright, so, just have your character wake up, give us a bit about them, then have them headed over to the prison in Satellite. Here we go!

  6. So, this is what we're doing. As of right now, we are going to automatically accept 5 people. Those people are...

    Black

    Chaos Sonic

    Lord Cowcow

    Rep

    VCR_Cat

The IC will be up in a timely manner, and you five can go ahead and post to it when you have the time.

As for everyone else, you'll have until Friday to finish up your apps and/or improve them, and we will accept 3 more on Friday. Take the time to improve/finish your apps. Make sure to talk to us.

    Good luck to everyone.

  7. And now it's time for Host reviews, the part of the show where a subpar host reviews your shit! Oh, and, Yui and Skaia add their scores in to.

    Yui

    Spoiler

Yours is pretty good. I have no complaints.
    Saiku: 8/10

    Skaia

    Spoiler

Your app is A+ material, and your character is pretty good to. No complaints.
    Saiku: 8/10

    Leiko

    Spoiler

Saiku: I personally like this app. I think it's good. I do see though that a lot of people suddenly brought out their A game to this rp, but I still really like Leiko. I'm not sure if that's because of Skybound though. 7/10

Yui: 5/10. It's not a bad app - it's totally fine actually - but everyone else seems to have spontaneously busted out their A-game and you sort of lagged behind. Still a good app though.

    Shannon

    Spoiler

Saiku: Hands down favorite app. Good job Black. 10/10

Yui: 10/10 My favorite app overall. Exemplary work! Her appearance is rather odd, but you not only pointed that out, but made it a key point of her personality and bio.

    Tora

    Spoiler

Saiku: I like this app. I was afraid it would just be a rehash of Skybound, but you made her different enough that I like her. 8/10

Yui: 7/10. This is a nice change of pace from the typical action girl type of character that you often create with your girls. Sai seems to be a big fan of your bio too, and while I'm not particularly nutty about it, Tora brings some stuff to the table that nobody else can.

    Hotaru

    Spoiler

Saiku: I really like her. Her lack of motivation however, kinda concerns me, but I trust you as an RPer Cowcow. Also Dragonecro in a funny hat. 7/10

Yui: 7/10 I've never been big on the more mopey types, but Hotaru seems pretty good overall despite that. Is one of the few biographies where she was actually an orphan when taken into the project, so you get bonus points for that. Also, I just really like the idea of a goofy Dragonecro.

    Jet

    Spoiler

Saiku: Jesus Christ Chaos, where did this come from? I came in expecting the usual Chaos character, which isn't a bad thing, but good lord. This is really good. We gotta point out this app shocked all three of us, and had effectively derailed our conversation for 30 minutes. 10/10

Yui: 10/10 I'm surprised! There was a lot more heart and effort put into this app, and it really shows! Definitely somebody I'm looking forward to seeing in the RP.

    Nate

    Spoiler

Saiku: We're not gonna score this because it's a WIP. However, I will review the personality, and buddy, I'm sorry to say it's a mess. I can kinda see what you're going for, a bit of an asshole that does care for people that get close to him, but it's not... written concisely. "He likes to wreck things, but he follows the law not to get in trouble". Like, I understand, but doesn't sound good, you know? You'll want to sit down and figure out the personality a bit more. Also, Evilswarm is not fun to play against in an RP setting. Either you can't it right, or no one else can play. Improve/10

Yui: WIP/10. Sai just about covered what I wanted to say, but in a more polite manner. Evilswarm (and Steelswarm too for that matter) are supremely anti-fun decks, which is bad for an RP, and your dragon doesn't even have to be rank 8 with the weird clause. It could just be "x Level 4 "Evilswarm" monsters" like all the other Evilswarm xyz. Will need to see a biography before I can say much of anything Sai hasn't said, but a heel or two wouldn't hurt to have around.

    Hypatia

    Spoiler

Saiku: I like your character and her concept. I like over-dramatic characters, they're fun. I have a few issues with your duel dragon, but I don't think it's anything we can't work out. 6/10

Yui: 4/10. I like her melodramatic demeanor and theatrical flair, but the stuff about how she can predict people gives me flashbacks to a certain RP character from the past who became a legend for how universally he was hated. The archetype is also wonky but that's life. Has the potential to gain the most points with me, but currently at the bottom of my personal list. Also, we need to talk to you about your Duel Dragon.

    Raijin

    Spoiler

Saiku: Okay, so I just wanna start out with saying my god, I wasn't imagining the Xyz hate to be that strong, but since you done it, I love it, and I kinda wanna go more extreme, like nuns trying to exorcise the Xyz from a deck. The character is good to. 8/10

Yui: 8/10. The personality and bio are both good, but don't really mesh together that well from where I'm sitting. Maybe I'm just crazy. You're one of the two apps that used an xyz for your Duel Dragon though, which is nice. I'd call this worth the wait overall, though it can still be a bit better.

    Francis

    Spoiler

WIP. Also, playing Rex Goodwin.dek is a bad idea. Duel dragons should be as generic as possible and sadly Dragonmon Sun and Moon are not. Sorry man.

  8. And after much waiting... It is time for the Fusion Arc.

You see, hidden away in the parts unknown, there was a lab. The Dark Legion was doing experiments on Pokemon, hoping to make more powerful pokemon to take over the world. Most of the pokemon sadly died, but three managed to live, apparently barely. These Pokemon named themselves Gwen, Shelley, and Debby.

Gwen was a fusion of Ralts and Litwick, which where fused as eggs. And apparently was twins, but one twin willing fed herself to her twin so she could live. Debby was a Bannette and Honedge. And finally, Shelley was a fusion of an Empoleon and Bisharp. Gwen was the oldest, Shelley was the youngest.

They were abused by The Dark Legion, expect for one female scientist. Horrible, unspeakable things happened to these three, so horrible in fact, they never actually never went into detail what it was, except for the fact they were apparently unstable. Whatever that meant.

One day, Gwen decided to call for help psychically. Only the Knights and Nitsuas decided to do anything about because... reasons. Apparently none of the other Psychic Types in the world could hear or care. So the Knightsuas went to invade this secret lab, leaded by Ali, Katie and Drew, because apparently the adults could not give a shit.

They curbstomped the opposition and freed the three pokemon, and in the process, Trini, the Jolteon, killed the nice lady, She felt bad though. And then spent the entire time trying to make it up to the three girls, until they just brought the nice lady back to life by turning her Yamask into a human.

And then they turned the Fusions into humans, and adopted them. Ali, the fifteen year old suicidal special one adopted Gwen, Katie and Drew, the most dysfunctional fifteen and sixteen year old pairing, adopted the youngest girl Shelley, and the only actual adult, Trini, adopted Debby. To recap, suicidal, unstable, and pushover minors adopted children ages 10, 9, and 8, and no one objected. Not even the parents when they came back home.

When they got there, the three got sent to school, despite never growing up human, but perfectly blended in, and Gwen instantly fell in love with a boy because penis. Shelley made friends with a deaf kid, because she knew sign language despite never having fingers, because reasons.

    That intel guy gets around.

Sorry for taking so long, but next time, we will come back full force with... The Dark Legion War arc!

  9. Continuing the story of Generation 2, Drew was an asshole that bullied his sister to the point she was suicidal. The only reason she was still alive was because of her only friend, the Syvleon turned human Katie. Yes, that was her only friend, despite being a saint, being beautiful, and being smart.

One day, Drew was being an ass and a guy threw him him a table. Drew then said, 'Fuck this' and despite having the mental stability of the Joker, was allowed to leave home to go on his pokemon journey, alone. And apparently he abused his pokemon. We don't know much of what happened, just that he was an ass doing it.

Soon, Ali and Katie went on a journey together, and because remnants of The Dark Legion was blowing shit up, Kim, the psychic cat who wanted to fuck Dan, who pretty much is just Kim fucking buddy at this point, stops fucking Dan to go with them in human form. Stuff happened, but we don't know what, just that Drew was being an ass while this happened.

A year and a half later, Drew is being an ass as Ali and Katie were facing each other in the finals of the Grand Festival in Hoenn. Ali won, and despite being beautiful and smart and winning shit, she did not have a boyfriend.

You see, the rpers decided to write in a boy named Jake and Retcon him into the backstory. He and Ali fell in love despite only being eight, but then he went in a plane with his lesbian (yes, this is important) sister, but then it crashed. He almost died, but then bullshit happened and he lived and taken in by the The Dark Legion. This will become important later. Back to the story.

Ali and Katie, along with Drew, went back to Seven Island, and they went to the Dragon Den for the Elder's Test. Ali passed, Drew did not. Drew, being an ass, caused the cave to collapse on top of everyone, and Ali was seriously hurt. Katie slapped Drew, and he started falling in love with her, because she looked exactly like his dead girlfriend.

So, his father punished him in the worst way possible. By giving Drew exactly want he wanted and they took him, Ali, and Katie to recieve the Dragon Clan's training. Now we must elaborate on the Dragon Clan. Lance's clan was turned into a mystical thing, and they were turned into Uchihas, and had powers.

Their powers including healing people, being able to talk to their pokemon, literally the Sharigan, which includes a Susanoo Dragon, transferring life energy, overwriting DNA, sprout wings and fly, raise the dead, enhanced strength, speed, etc. Telepathy, firing energy blasts, and to always be right. They can also bent other legendaries, especially ones that had no reason to actually listen to them.

So, Ali, Katie and Drew took the test. First they picked weapons. Weapons. In a pokemon rp. Weapons, even though they had magical powers. Drew had a claymore, Ali a rapier, and Katie, looking upon the massive of weapons, picked the cloth they were on. Katie used the cloth as a bullshit excuse to learn all the weapons.

So their training began. Insert montage.

Tune in next time, for the Fusion Arc!

  10. This rp is separated into Generations. Gen 1 was the story of Baby Blob and his friend Dan. Generation 2 is their offspring. And when I say their, I mean Baby Blob's. I didn't join until near the tail end of the second attempt of Gen 2.

Please, enjoy. Or be confused, either works.

So, we start off with Baby Blob moving his and Dan's family to Seven Island, where due to Baby Blob being head of Team Rocket and Dan being champion of Orre, they were completely self sufficient on the island. Baby Blob also found out his adopted human mother had two sons, Andy and Patrick, who were raised by Steven Stone, champion of Hoenn. (Despite, you know, Wallaceactually being champ of Hoenn) He also discovered the two of them were the leaders of Team Magma and Aqua somehow, and they decided to work together to achieve 'world peace'.

They defeated Teams Plasma, Galactic, and Flare, putting friends and family as the leaders of the teams. Meanwhile, Baby Blob became head of the Police and merged it with Rocket. And thus, they controlled the world, despite never straight out saying it. (The rpers themselves did not realize this)

And so we go to meet Ali and Drew, the offspring of Baby Blob. Ali was very lonely as a child, probably because of living on a island for rich people. Her only friend was Kim's daughter, the Eevee turned Sylveon Katie. Finally, Ali and Drew had to go to school. Due to pulling strings and lying, calling Katie a service pokemon, Katie got to go to school to, where she also learned human things.

They met a girl named Ashley, who Drew fell in love with, and she fell in love with back, despite only seeing each other once. She was very sick, however, with another 'disease' and died about three years later. Drew was crushed, and bully his sister because reasons. Ali was also bullied at school because she was so pretty and so smart. She nearly committed suicide because of it.

During this time, Baby Blob made a keychain sized device to turn pokemon human because apparently (and this was stated), he is a genius. They tested it on Katie, and it worked the first time they tried it. Kim the Espeon was able to turn human, and despite having a pokemon husband, began to fuck Dan like she always wanted to.

    To be continued

  11. From here, we meet Rose, who is starving and near death... As she has been for the past 3 years. How a 12 year old survived this long is one of life's great mysteries.

Baby Blob's mom died of a rare incurable disease simply called the 'disease', and Rose caught it to. She was found by Baby Blob near death, and he nursed her back to health, despite not liking people, because she reminded him of his sister. He also had a medicine that was created by people that studied his mom's body. He used it on and sent her to Johto, where she got the medicine, and became trainer of the Rocket Grunts, despite being only 12.

Baby Blob got caught in a sandstorm, and he broke into someone's house to get out of it. He was then growled at by the Glaceon Guard Oliver, which alerted Dan. Baby Blob then feed Glaceon, and Glaceon turned, sensing good within Baby Blob. Dan and Baby Blob decided to team up to take on the greater threat, Cipher, which where making shadow Pokemon.

They fought up 100 floor of Mt. Battle, an active volcano (which is actual thing in game), and at the top, they found a Shadow Lugia, which they proceeded to say 'fuck it' and used a Master Ball on it, which she broke out of. And no, this is not Gen 1.

They threw a second one and caught her after fighting her.

Jay went back to Johto, only to get called out to war against the Dark Legion, They won after we don't know how, because they didn't rp it, but we know they won, and the Dark Legion was spilt apart. Four years later, Baby Blob went home only to find out the woman Angel, who he had sex with, gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. He immediately kicked her out and had Kim, the Espeon, raise his kids.

Kim gave birth to an Eevee that they named Katherine. (This is also important)

Then remnants of the Dark Legion somehow stole the plans of Rocket's evolution radio wave and used it at Mahogany Town. A bunch of Gyadoses attacked, and Katie was painfully evolved into a Sylveon and was in constant pain. Feeling guilty for this, Baby Blob left his family for another year, to find a cure, leaving his kids behind with the Espeon.

They found a herb that cured Katie, from the woman that created the Super Potion.

That is the end of Gen 1 of the rp Pokemon: The Dark Chapters.

    Gen 2 will now begin.

  12. In this part, we meet Dan, the single piece of sanity, at least in the beginning. Dan's family was Eevee breeders, and he had team of an Espeon named Kimberly, a Umberon named Adam, a Vaporoen named Billy, a Jolteon named Trini, a Flareon named Jason, and a Leafeon named Tommy. Kimberly and Tommy were mates, Adam is Kim's brother, Jason is Tommy's brother, and the other two are Kim and Tom's kids.

Yes, it is important to know.

Kim wants to fuck Dan. The Espeon wants to fuck her trainer. This is also important.

Gang wars break out in Orre... In the Pyrite part. The lone female member of Dan's group was named Sarah, and she crushed on Dan, Dam crushed on her, and they asked each other out. The day before that date was scheduled, the group got into a fight, mad Sarah got knocked out and injured, fractures in the left leg. An Elbow strike caused her to bleed.

She survived, but had to take pain medience. Rose, Dan's little sister/cousin (which is inspired by Kirito minus incest, but still, Kirito) accidentally overdosed Sarah, she died, and gang collapse. Dan yelled at Rose, Rose cried and ran away, and the second in command called Dan a douche. Gang fell apart.

Three years later, Baby Blob comes to Orre....

  13. So, after being subjected to the worst rp ever, I have decided to share it with all of you. However, it is so long, I have to split it up. Here is the backstory of it before the rp begins. Have fun.

Our rp focuses in a character named Jay. He was Zekrom, who somehow after the events after Black and White, was captured by a team called Team Eclipse. He was experimented on, which turned him into a featureless baby. Like, a baby without a face. Or colors. Just baby blob. Suddenly Arcues himself said 'Fuck you', and with the help of Giratina, teleported baby blob to a family part of Lance's dragon clan. When they touched the baby, it was given form, giving it green hair and Super Saiyan eyes.

He grew with a little sister name Annie. The family went on a boat, and Gyaradoses attacked, capsizing the boat. Luckily for Jay, Latios and Latias were passing by and save the boy at the cost of their own life. For some reason. And they also saved no one else. However, they left behind eggs that hatch into Shiny Latias and Shiny Latios, who became Jay's pokemon. He was found by Lance, who raised him from then on out.

Jay was terrified of pokemon, and was afraid of them, despite the fact he had a good relationship with the Latios and Latias. Lance forced him to train pokemon however.

Later in life, He joined the International Police, like Looker, and somehow also joined Team Rocket. He met a woman named Angel, and they had sex. Then Giovanni was like, 'Here, have my organization' and Jay became leader of Team Rocket. Interpol got sick of 'being shown up' by Jay, so they sent to Orre, where apparently nothing happens. And this is where the story begins....

Herc sighed to himself as he looked around the group of hopeful heroes. It seemed that he stood out the most once more, but hey, that was fine. He was used to that. What he was more concerned about was the practical part of the tests. He barely passed the written, so he had to do exceptionally well here so he could leave a good impression. He wouldn't sully the great Beetle Man name!

"Today will be the day of the practical. Beyond this gate lies a forest type area, and a city type area. You are free to roam wherever you please, and do as much damage as possible, but your objectives will all be the same. In each area are a limited amount of badges that resemble the U.A. logo. To complete the practical, one must obtain 5 badges and return to the gate before sundown." He then looked to the teens with a sharp look. "It doesn't matter how you get your badges. Just so long as you're here, you'll be permitted to attend U.A."

Seemed simple enough. He could probably find them without too much trouble. Was there enough to go around though? Would they have to fight some of the other hopefuls in order to gain admittance?

"So if I beat the snot out of some dude with 3 badges, and take 'em, I get in?" A tall girl with a nasty vibe asked. Still, Herc supposed he liked the way she cut to the chase. It was something that needed answering after all. Turns out it was fine, so long as they didn't kill anyone. Guess he couldn't just pile drive his way to victory then. He began to stretch, his hard beetle parts making loud cracking noises as he did. He felt lighter on his feet after doing that at the very least.

"Alright everyone, let's make sure to all do our very BEST!" a voice suddenly called out, the voice echoing and causing Herc's ears to ring.
"<Son of a bitch, what was that?!>" Herc cursed in English, looking around for the source of the very loud, and annoying noise. He froze a bit, however, as he saw the source of the noise. Some bat-like girl. He didn't know why, but the very look of her filled him with dread. He hoped he didn't have to cross paths with her... before he could give it more thought, someone else decided to do their own cheer.

"That's right! Let's all get pumped up for <JUSTICE!>" A blonde girl yelled excitedly, switching to English at the very end. "<Let's go!>"

"<justice>" another girl said, much more softly. That was a good start of a great cheer... but it needed a little more.

<"Hell yeah, JUSTICE!"> Herc called out, flashing a thumbs up at them. Maybe he would like it here more than he first thought.

"Ah, I love the sound of a roaring crowd!" a guy with grey hair loudly proclaimed, stepping a bit ahead. "Let's hope there's some bite to everyone's bark. I'd hate a boring victory!" Herc rubbed his chin as listened to the boy. Too boring huh? Then how about...?

"You know, you might be on to something," Herc stepped forward, looking up and down Suda before grinning. "Then why don't we make this a little more interesting?" He spoke as loudly as Suda did, to be sure everyone could hear him. "How about we have a little bet? You and me, last person back here gotta do somethin' real embarrassing," He paused to think. "I dunno, wearing a tutu, eating a unicycle, I dunno, we'll work that out later," He looked over to the rest of the hopefuls. "In fact, why don't we extend this little bet to anyone else who wants to join," He paused for a second more, before moving in for the kill. "That is, of course, unless you're afraid of a bug beating all of ya," This was the best way to weed out the most fun people to play with. "No pressure though,"

    Rules

    Spoiler
First and foremost, all YCM and RP section rules apply. That means no powerplaying, godmodding, etc. You know, obvious things that you should not do because you’re a decent human being.
I, and by extension, any and all cohosts, have final say. I am the law. However, I can be lenient if you are calm and explain yourself well. If you do not post within several days f when you are needed to post, I reserve the right to move your character. If you do not post for two weeks, then I reserve the right to write out your character. However, I can extend the timeline if you have a valid reason, but you have to tell me.
This is PG-16 to allow all kind of things to happen. Death happens, bad things happen, good things happen, stuff happens. Circle of Life, Circle of Death.
Customs are allowed, however, you must run them by the host and cohosts, and they must be approved by us before you can use them.

    Setting

    Spoiler
Project Crimson take place fifty years after Yugioh 5Ds, and ignores the events of Zexal and Arc-V. During these fifty years, six major cities were constructed, each one focusing on a Summoning Mechanic. Each town has every form of summoning, however, the ones they specialize in are more common, and more powerful cards of that kind appear in their town.

Due to the tireless research of Yusei Fudo, he was able to develop a program that stabilized the Momentum Reactor, allowing free and clean energy for the world to use. Because of this, technology made many advances. About 25 years later, Solid Vision was created, which allowed for a new kind of Dueling to rise, Action Dueling. It became a popular sporting event, and became its own league.
Psychic Duelists still roam the world, some using their power for good, others for their own selfish gains, and some gave themselves up for research, to discover the origins of their power. In hushed whispers, people speak of a more sinister version of Psychic Duels, where you use your own life force to power your monsters. They are called Destiny Duels.

During these fifty years, the game of Duel Monsters evolved even further beyond, adding two new summoning methods, known as Xyz and Pendulum. At first, there was an outcry that Xyz were too easy and Pendulum were even worse. The stigma still does exist with a vocal minority, but they have been accepted for the most part.

    Database

    Spoiler

(This will be updated as seen fit. Be sure to check back now and then. Or maybe not because spoilers are a pain in the fucking ass.)

    Greater Domino Area

    Spoiler

The Greater Domino Area is a large chunk of the world that is, by all means, the ultimate hub of all things Duel Monsters, and is identified quickly by six large cities. Because we live in a world where card games mean everything, this by no coincidence means that the Greater Domino Area is also considerably more urbanized and densely populated in comparison to the rest of the world. Technology in this area is a fair leap ahead of the rest of the world, and in addition to a bustling and powerful economy, it's not hard to see why somebody would opt to live here. Of course, due to so many people living here, the Greater Domino Area also has the downside of being the most likely place in the world where something goes terribly wrong.

    The Cities

    Spoiler

    Domino City (Main)

    Spoiler

The largest and oldest (not to mention namesake) city of the Greater Domino Area, Domino City is the Duel Monsters capitol of the world. Millions of Duelists from far and wide come here to participate in any number of tournaments, set up businesses, or watch their favorite Pro Duelists go head-to-head with each other. This is also the central headquarters for Kaiba Corp, who have established a monopoly for new technology and printing cards for the game that has made Domino City such a massive metropolis. As a result, the economy has found itself based almost entirely off of Duel Monsters; even its tourist attractions have to do with card games.

Most notably, the Duel Museum was constructed twenty years ago and contains in great detail the history of Duel Monsters and the champions of the game that continues to form the core of society. By closely observing the duels of past champions, the Duel Museum was even capable of being equipped with an AI unit that can be dueled, fully equipped with the decks and techniques of champions past. For a small fee, of course. While Domino City has all the comforts and luxuries one could ever ask for from a major city, it also comes fully equipped with the downsides one may not be so proud of.

Domino City has come to a point where two things make the city go round: Duel Monsters, and cold hard cash. It's a dog-eat-dog economy out there, and greed can run rampant in the hearts of Domino's citizens once they get a taste of just how much power can come with enough cash. This isn't to say one can't be broke and survive here, but it certainly makes life difficult in the big city. Under its cheering tournament crowds, neon lights, and bustling tourism, Domino City's heart is slowly rotting.

    Reffo City (Ritual)

    Spoiler

The smallest city in the Greater Domino Area. Reffo is the "suburb city", so dubbed for its calm atmosphere, open space, and sparse population compared to the overpopulated cities in the rest of the area. KaibaCorp has designated Reffo as the city where the most powerful Ritual Monsters and ritual support get shipped, and as a result, the city's taken a natural stance that favors the Ritual Summoning mechanic. The lack of reliance on an Extra Deck as well as a much more rural vibe than the other cities in the Greater Domino Area are what Reffo is known for at a glance. A deeper look also shows that a lot of the population is quite old, and it would seem that many folks from other cities retire then move to Reffo.

The people of Reffo have proven to be quite hospitable with outsiders, and outside of Duel Monsters, the city gets a lot of its income from a plethora of inns and restaurants put in place to make visitors more comfortable during their stay. Reffo's most distinguishing feature is perhaps Old Town, a district found dead in the center of Reffo City that seems to have been thrown straight into the modern day from a time long since past. Dirt roads, traditional shrines and temples, paper lanterns, and more decorate Old Town. As a result, the atmosphere of this particular area is extremely different from the concrete buildings and streetlights of the Greater Domino Area in general. Roughly in the center of Old Town - and as a result, Reffo City itself - is a massive, three-story pagoda that is the city's largest dueling arena, which has found itself surrounded by several inns, restaurants, and stalls.

    Taccon City (Fusion)

    Spoiler

Statistically, Taccon City is the wealthiest city in the Greater Domino Area. The average income of its families is higher than in any other city, which leads to inflated egos in many of the locals, but don't be fooled. Taccon City just barely takes home the gold for being the richest city, and the number of wealthy families living here gets artificially inflated by the presence of the Greater Domino Area's largest and most prestigious Duel Academy, not to mention the most expensive to attend. While a lot of Pro Duelists and their families end up living here due to the famous Duelist Academia, Taccon itself ironically has no proper dueling arena. Instead, its tournaments are hosted in the mighty Duelist Academia's dueling fields.

Although KaibaCorp has decided to focus its more powerful Fusion Monsters and fusion support toward Taccon's stores, the Duelist Academia holds courses for all manner of summoning methods. As a result, Taccon isn't as largely populated by users of the local summoning mechanic as other cities would be. It's perfectly likely to find a user of any summoning mechanic here, either as a Pro Duelist, a student at Duelist Academia, or somebody who either aspires to be or is related to either of the above. That being said, the people of Taccon have a particular distrust for Xyz users, due to some negative stigmas attached to Hearthome City and wanting to keep their image as a very desirable place to live.

    Turbo City (Synchro)

    Spoiler

If roads and vehicles were bills and coins, Turbo City would by a long shot be the wealthiest city in the Greater Domino Area. However, they are not, and Turbo City's economy is by no means booming. As its name so subtly implies, Turbo City is a city built with Turbo Dueling in mind. By no coincidence, KaibaCorp chose this city to be the spot where the most powerful Synchro Monsters and synchro support would be sent. The whole thing works out rather nicely; powerful synchro cards get sold in Turbo City, which encourages Synchro Summoning monsters in Turbo Duels, generating Momentum for the Greater Domino Area and causing living expenses in Turbo City to drop considerably. This in turn leads to cheaper housing, letting people spend more money on new synchro cards, and the whole thing has spiraled in a way that leads some to call Turbo City "The Power Plant", as it's where most of the Greater Domino Area's Momentum comes from.

Turbo City's infrastructure can be confusing to outsiders at first; in an attempt to keep traffic under control, the city's roads and highways had to be built in three layers, two of which are occupied by the city itself. The city's bottom layer consists mostly of businesses and the occasional duel arena. Despite very efficient road layouts, traffic still gets pretty congested down here, but this bottom layer of the city serves as the economic (and physical) foundation for the rest of Turbo City regardless. The second layer, often called the "Nest" by the locals, holds the city's housing and inns. There are a great many ramps that connect the Nest to the businesses below, but traffic around these can still clog up during rush hours when most businesses open and close. Quite a few houses in the Nest connect to a business directly beneath it that the residents own. Most interesting, however, is the third layer.

The top layer of Turbo City, otherwise known as the Skyway, almost entirely consists of vast looping highways designed for Turbo Duels. The Skyway is accessed via a handful of "skyports" that can be found throughout the city, which act both as parking garages and large elevators for vehicular use. The Skyway also has one singular building besides the skyports used to access it; a large duel arena with a large track running along its perimeter, to be used in Turbo Duel tournaments. D-Wheel safety is a particular concern among Turbo City officials, as despite several efforts put into place to protect Turbo Duelists on the Skyway, crashes are still fairly common.

    Hearthome City (Xyz)

    Spoiler

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Nobody's sure what caused it, but some time about a decade ago, a violent protest in Hearthome sparked up and became a full-blown riot. That riot led to more riots, and Hearthome nearly destroyed itself with a full month of violence, lawlessness, and property damage. By the time the dust had settled, Hearthome was a city of dilapilated buildings and run-down shacks that many agree would be better off demolished and rebuilt. Despite the seemingly universal wariness of the city's current state, the authorities of the Greater Domino Area have made no effort to restore order in Hearthome, and KaibaCorp has not revoked the city's status as the destination for the most powerful Xyz Monsters and support. Anyone who wants to make it big with an Xyz-based deck considers visiting this city a necessary evil, and for good reason.

You could spit from a Hearthome rooftop and it would almost certainly land on a dishonest human being who will lie, swindle, manipulate, and cheat to eke out a pitiful life in the rotting corpse of a once-gorgeous city. Even the city's run-down shacks, looking as though they'll collapse at any second, are terribly overpriced, and it would seem as though how easily one can afford their groceries here directly correlates with how good they are at stealing those very groceries. The only thing the people of Hearthome hold sacred in this city's disrepaired roads and shady alleyways is the local duel arena; the only building that wasn't damaged during the infamous riots. Inside the arena's walls, even the filthiest of homeless Hearthome citizens and the richest of gangsters running the city become equals, and - in their own distorted way - the people become respectful toward one another inside the arena's walls. Disrespecting somebody in "the pit" is considered a serious offense by the locals, and anyone who offends the people of Hearthome will find that they're a vengeful sort with a warped sense of community, and will make the already-difficult lives of anybody that offends their city damn near impossible.

For the most part, Hearthome is run by gangs that are constantly warring with one another for territory. As a result, the "laws" that govern a person's daily life can change in the blink of an eye. However, Hearthome citizens aren't a hopeless sort. If oppressed too strongly, the common men and women here violently rebel against their criminal overlords. This turns gang wars into an odd form of politics where local criminals keep the masses content with their miserable lives in order to secure their territory, in exchange for the masses holding down the fort for the local gangs. Of course, vigilantes exist, and most famous among them is the "Dread Knight"; an enigma with very little known information.

    Cradle City (Pendulums)

    Spoiler

If it's bright and flashy you want, look no further than Cradle City. Bright neon, streamlined roads, and several arenas designed specifically for Action Duels that feature monitors on the outsides make Cradle a city that never sleeps. Perhaps because of its bright colors and personality, KaibaCorp designated Cradle as the location where the most powerful Pendulum Monsters and related support would be found. Due to an unusually high amount of local tournaments that are hosted in Cradle City, many who aspire to make it big as Pro Duelists end up living here, especially if their pursuit involves Action Duels. Every duel arena in Cradle is equipped with Solid Vision generators, and due to the considerably large amount of them, Cradle City has become the number-one Action Dueling center for the Greater Domino Area.

Cradle City is also the home of the WDMA, causing it to gain even more attention from the fans of newer pros around the globe as they come here time and again to participate in tournaments that would grant them entry to more prestigious events hosted in Domino City. It's not at all uncommon for a person to go about their daily business in Cradle and see a rising star on the streets at least twice a day. However, just as much as this is a place where hopes and dreams are born, Cradle City is where those of many an aspiring would-be pro come to die. The WDMA headquarters in Cradle is the stage for a semi-annual tournament that attracts many would-be pros, with the winner being recognized as an official Pro Duelist. However, this tournament will also reject a duelist if they've participated three times and still not taken the gold.

Aside from its grand duel arenas, most of Cradle's buildings are fairly modest; no towering skyscrapers to be found like in Domino or other big cities, and housing is more compact in size to allow for more of it in quantity. Cradle City's population and size is second in the Greater Domino Region only to Domino City itself, and it also boasts the lowest amount of homeless and/or unemployed citizens. There's always something to do here, and the city itself welcomes anyone who thinks they're up for its fast pace and bright atmosphere.

    WDMA

    Spoiler

The World Duel Monster Association. Think of it like the NFL, the head of the sport leagues of Duel Monsters.

    Duel Museum

    Spoiler

Twenty years, this museum was built to honor the champions of the past. By watching the old duels, they were able to recreate the champions' decks, and create an AI that can be freely challenged.

    Dread Knight

    Spoiler

Not much is known about the Dread Knight. Few have seen him, and those who do hardly can describe him. From what has been gathered, he is a man dressed in black clothes that resembles light armor. with a purple scarf. He seems to play Phantom Knights, and it is rumored he is a Psychic Duelist.

    Kaiba Corp

    Spoiler

After buying out Industrial Illusions, Kaiba Corp became the sole distributor of Duel Monsters, creating a card game empire. They are also the reason why the cards are spread as they are. Due to marketing, they threw the best cards of a Summoning Mechanic to the city that had the most interest in them. Domino itself, however, got the short end of the stick, but got the newest cards first.

Kaiba Corp is the largest provider of jobs in Neoteric Domino, and as such, pretty much have the local government in their pockets. They apparently are starting to spread their influences farther, although what this means, no one truly knows.

    The Current Duel King

    Spoiler

Kyouji Ryuu is the current Duel King, the third one after Yusei Fudo, and he is a loud, passionate, and hot blooded man. He runs a Synchro Dinosaur deck known as the Dinozars. It is rumored he is a student of the one and only JACK ATLAS.

    Duel Spirits

    Spoiler

Duel Spirits are beings from a parallel universe that can inhabits Duel Monsters cards. Usually, they can only been seen by special people, or by people who have a strong bond to the card. They have distinct personalities, and more often then not help their Duelists. Some may have more sinister motives though.

He is a friendly and outgoing sort, but isn't above quips and snark. In fact, he loves quips and snarks the most, especially those that give him the juiciest reactions, like those quick to anger.

Despite his friendly and joking nature, he is committed to coming a hero, and will work as hard as he can to become one. He is driven by his desire of becoming an ideal hero, and to discover why his father was ousted from the Super Hero Society.

He tends to rely on his natural toughness to get through fights, instead of taking any formal fighting lessons.

    Biography

    Spoiler

Herc wasn't the first person in his family to manifest a quirk. No, that was his father, a man who's very way of life shaped Herc into the man he was today. The two of them shared a quirk: Beetle, although it was obvious from birth Herc had a more advanced variant, with his body having much more beetle parts than his father. His mother also had a quirk, although she never seemed to use it, and never spoke about it. Only his younger sister didn't seem to have a quirk, making her the 'normal one' of the family.

Herc grew up in an American city, and was considered a bit of an outsider. While quirks were getting more and more common, rarely was there one that changed the human body so much like Herc's. Kids would make fun of him until they realized that being part beetle made Herc much stronger than them. After that, he was pretty much left out of things, left alone and forgotten.

He refused to let that mold him, however, instead looking to the exploits of his father as an inspiration. Every night, he would watch the news to see his father fight all sorts of crimes, from bank robbers to what people could call super villains. He even had an arch-nemesis, a man with a lava quirk. Herc would watch religiously, and cling to what his father taught him.

However, around the time Herc was ten, his father disappeared from the news. In fact, it seemed as if he wouldn't go fight crime at all. Not only that, but besides a select few, all the Heroes that Beetle Man had met stopped associating with him. Herc had no idea why this was the case, and all his little sister could learn was that Beetle had done something taboo in the Hero community.

That only made Herc determined to become a hero and find out what happened. However, unlike back in the day, there were protocols and rules in place. So Herc worked his best to learn a new language, and get the grades he needed to convince his parents that he to could be a hero. All his work paid off, as he was sent to UA, a new school made specifically just to train heroes.

Now was his time. He'd restore the name of Beetle Man, while finding out what happened to his dad's reputation.

    Quirk

    Spoiler

Beetle: This quirk grants Herc several abilities found in the species of beetle. Instead of being limited to one species though, he is more of an amalgamation of multiple beetle species. It grants him many abilities, such as...

Super Strength: Much like a beetle, Herc is stronger than his appearance suggests. He's been shown to be able to lift about 10 times his own weight, allowing him to at least lift cars.

Flight: Herc has strong wings, allowing him to fly, but it's not a swift, graceful kind of flight. He is more like a helicopter. It also makes him burn so much energy that he can't do it for an extended amount of time.

Wall Climbing: This ability allows him to stick to walls and climb them, much like an insect.

Natural Armor: His skin is tougher than an average human, and his beetle shell on his back is even tougher. It allows him to take much more punishment than the average person, but even it has limits. If his shell is broken, it also takes much longer to heal than any other part of his body.

???: A mysterious skill that even he doesn't realize he possesses. It will manifest in a time of great need... or fear.

  18. Chapter 1: Of Hopeful Heroes

    Spoiler

It all started in Qingpong, China. On that fateful day, a child was born radiating a strange heat from their body, nearly engulfing their nursery in flames. Ever since that day, things people thought as only fantasy was now reality. More and more people were gifted with these strange powers, now known to the world as “Quirks”.

These people grew up to be the first generation of vigilantes, and soon the Hero Institution was created, where people with Quirks worked as government officials around the world. Though at first Quirks were rare, they rapidly spread, to the point 25 percent of the world had a quirk only three generations later.

To help the new generation become heroes, schools were made to let the former generations pass on their knowledge. To graduate from a school is an honor, and such an accomplishment is rewarded with a Hero License, so that a young hero may legally pursue their dreams.

Sadly though, not all quirks are created equal, and not everyone could become a hero. To that end, some people instead pursue the illegal occupation of…

    Vigilante.

    Opening Theme

“Oh geez, I’m late, I’m late…,” muttered a tall, lanky figure rushing down the street, his wild, neck length spiky orange hair and blue hoodie flowing in the spring breeze. The teen looked down at a watch with his blue eyes before he looked back up. Sure, today was the last day he’d work at the local mom and pop store before he went off to Hero School... but to show up late, well, that was kinda of a dick move. Not very fitting for a hero to be, now would it?

Still, today was really out to get him.

“Get back here, punk!” A topless man behind the teen called out, the blades coming out of his wrists catching the sunlight as he chased down his prey. “I told you to give me all your money!”

“Hey man, I have to get to work to make that money! You think you’re the only one that’s broke around here?!” The teen shouted back in an irritated tone of voice. The would be mugger slowed down as he heard those words, almost coming to a standstill. Was… he becoming commonplace now?

Gritting his teeth, the teen turned around the corner, almost at his workplace. All he had to do was make it down the street in 3 minutes and he would be in the clear! That wouldn’t be an issue at all, except he never expected to be stopped by a body crashing down in front of him. The teen took a step back, watching the man that fell from the sky standing up slowly. He was large and muscular, easily towering over the teen. His hair in dreadlocks, and his right arm was… a giant shotgun. Oh. That was lovely.

The man looked over at the teen standing in front of him, a wide grin on his face. “Well, looks like this just got easier…,” Before he knew it, the orange haired worker was wrapped into a head lock, the muzzle of the giant gun pointed at his head. “Let's see that hero get me when I have a hostage…,” the villain managed to say right before a streak of silver and red crashed into the ground, kicking up a lot of dust.

When the dust cleared, it was revealed to be a man in shining silver armor, streamlined to help with flight, the helmet fashioned to resemble a dragon’s head. On his chest were three notable slits, and on his back were two giant wings, each three-pronged like a trident, and fashioned more like jet wings than animal wings.

“Holy crap…,” The teen muttered before looking up at the villain holding him down. “That’s Silver Comet! What the hell did you do to get the Number Five Hero hunting you down?” His eyes darted around as he saw other people watching, but no one getting too close… seemed like Silver Comet was the only hero here right now.

“That’s not important!” The villain snapped, placing the muzzle of the gun closer to his hostage’s head. “Look here Silver Comet! You take one step closer, or make some sort of funny move, and I’ll blow this twerp’s head off, ya hear?” The hero known as Silver Comet raised his hands into the air, obviously trying to defuse the situation.

“Let the boy go,” The hero commanded, his voice deep and penetrating. “There’s no point to worsen both your sentence and conscience with the blood of the innocent,”

“You act like I have a conscience,” The villain taunted, a loud Chakchak! being heard as the villain cocked his gun. The hostage gritted his teeth, closing his eyes and brainstorming.

“Alright, Hane, you want to be a hero, so what do you do here?” His thoughts rushed in rapidly, thinking about how he could use his quirk to get out of this situation. He was pretty confident that his quirk would protect him from a gunshot… but he never tested that before. So maybe instead…

“Hey guys,” Hane called out suddenly, causing the other two to pause. “Look, I’m going to be late to work, so like, can we wrap this up…?” The villain responded with first tightening his grip around his victim’s neck, before snapping out a sentence.

“What are ya, stupid? Don’t you know what kind of situation you’re in?”

“Please, civilian, don’t antagon---,” Silver Comet began, before Hane continued.

“Well, yeah… I’m being held down by a dirty coward. That’s why you grabbed me right?” the teen looked up to the assailant. “You couldn’t face down Silver Comet on your own, so now you’re hiding behind me like a shield. You obviously don’t have the guts to kill me,” his eyes darted over to Silver Comet. He only hoped that this stupid plan of his worked.

With a growl, the gun villain grabbed the front of his victim’s shirt, spinning him around and lifting him into the air, causing the teen’s feet to leave the ground. “A dirty coward, am I?! Well, then, let me just pump you full of holes! Let’s see you call me a coward then!!” With a snarl, the villain threw back his hostage, sending the teen to the ground. However, right when he was throwing, the villain noticed something… his victim was grinning instead of being afraid… what the hell…?

The next thing he knew, Hane’s back hit the ground… and then the teen bounced into the air, grinning and pointing finger guns at the villain. “Later, sucker!” He called out as he bounded over the hero, landing on his feet and running off. With a roar of rage, the villain went to aim his gun… but in that rage, he forgot about the very hero he was using the boy as a defense against. A jet engine-like roar was heard, and the wings on Silver Comet’s back expelled a red flame, which propelled him forward, allowing him to tackle the villain with high speed.

Hane looked over his shoulder, grinning as he saw that his plan had worked. His quirk, Rubber, really helped him out there. He looked down at his watch, eyes widening as he realized that he barely had a minute left before he was late! He let out a yell as he ran as fast as he could, rushing past the people around him, only skidding to a stop when he got in front of a small white building. He quickly moved forward, throwing the door open full force.

“It’s fine! I am here!!” He called out in a panic, panting as he looked around the small convenience store he had entered. He looked around to the familiar sight of the white floor and shelves all lined up with food and drinks, and the sight of the grisly older man behind the counter, teeth clenched around a cigarette and face buried in a newspaper.

“It’s about time you got here, Daicon,” The man snapped, not even looking up from his newspaper. “Just because you’re some big shot headed to Japan to study at UA doesn’t mean you can be late on your last day, ya hear…?”

“But… But I made it on time…,” Hane said with a small whimper.

“Sure you did kid,” The man said as he stood up. “Make sure not to slack off on your last day, got it?” He said before he walked out of the store, newspaper tucked under his arm as he left. Hane sighed as he took off his hoodie, revealing the bright red of his uniform, slipping on his hat as he slid behind the counter, clocking into his shift. He only hoped that the shift would go by quickly.

At 8 in the morning, the store wasn’t too busy, with only a few customers coming in for snacks now and then. It made sense to Hane, seeing as spring break was here, so the students were sleeping in and the adults were at work. Time was going so slowly though…

At 11 in the morning, his coworker came in, a peppy short girl with her mid-length brown hair done in a ponytail. She was cute, but nothing really to write home about… average would probably be the best word for her.

She was only a year younger than him, but since she was the owner’s daughter, she got a little special treatment, like higher pay and less hours. Not that he really minded. After he went to Japan, this wouldn’t matter. He would become a hero, and do more than just work in a local convenience store!

“Morning Hane!” The girl greeted, grinning widely as she slipped behind the counter.

“Morning Ruby,” Hane answered, stretching before grabbing the two liter of soda he had bought earlier, chugging it down. “Ready for work today?”

“I am always ready for work, thank you very much,” Ruby stated, folding her arms and puffing out her cheeks.

“Yeah, but you’re gonna have to do shifts without me after today,” Hane mentioned in a teasing tone. “You think you can handle that?”

“O-of course I can!” She said, turning her head away from him. There was a moment of silence before she spoke up again. “... Today’s the last day, huh?” She asked softly. “You’ve been here for almost three years… it’s hard to believe you’re going to be moving to Japan and going to UA,”

“Well…,” Hane muttered as he scratched his cheek. “I still need to get my acceptance letter…,” Ruby’s head whipped back around to face her coworker.

“WHAAAAAT?! You mean you’ve been planning to go to all the way to Japan, and you don’t even know if you were accepted?!” She grabbed his cheeks, and stretched them out to comical lengths. “What kind of idiot are you?!”

“Oh, come on!” Hane stated, raising his hands into the air, his speech a bit muffled due to his stretched cheeks. “I got nothin’ but praises from everyone there, and it’s not like the competition was that bad,” Ruby puffed her cheeks again and let go of Hane’s, causing them to snap back in place.

“All you have is bouncy skin,” She stated as she poked him in the chest, “What makes you think you could stand with the best of the best?”

“Hey now, that’s hurtful,” Hane commented. “Look, there was some dude that threw a punch and broke his entire arm, some snake guy, and…,” He paused to think. “Actually, I think I saw a Creed there,”

“You mean a member of the Creed family? You went against a kid of pro heroes?!” Ruby demanded. “Why are you so confident you got in?!” Hane chuckled, rubbing his head.

“Hey, my quirk isn’t flashy, but it’s useful. At the very least, I had to get in over ‘break my arm’ boy, right?” He asked with a chuckle. Ruby sighed and put her hands on her hips.

“Honestly, you can be such an idiot sometimes,” She muttered before facing ahead. Hane sighed, also turning to face the front. Maybe he was being a little too insensitive to Ruby’s feelings… after all, she didn’t even have a quirk.

Time passed, and the two of them finished up the daily chores of the store: restocking after the noon rush, sweeping the floors, and wiping down everything. It was nearly two in the afternoon, and Hane only had two more hours on his shift. He did his best not to watch the clock, but man, that was hard not to do.

The front door opened, causing the two workers to look up. A tall Japanese man walked in, his black spiky hair being done up in a ponytail that reached his knees. His brown eyes spotted Hane behind his glasses, and so he approached the worker.

“Hey Dad,” Hane said with a grin. “What’s up?” It was a bit weird seeing his dad out here. He usually kept himself glued in front of his computer, working on some fifth dimensional physics or something. Hane never really understood the things his dad would research about…

“Got this in the mail,” His dad said, holding up a letter. “I thought you might want it," The first thing that caught Hane’s eyes was… yeah, that was the UA symbol alright! It was here! This is when he’d find he was accepted into the school, and his dreams would start! He reached over to grab the letter, but before he could, Ruby snatched the letter away from his dad’s hand.

“I’ll keep this. You’re gonna be so distracted by the answer you won’t get any work done,” She said before sticking out her tongue and putting the letter in her back pocket. Hane sighed and looked to his dad, shrugging.

“Well, thanks for coming out here. I’ll be sure to be home before eleven, okay?” Hane said. His dad gave a thumbs up and headed out the door.

“I’ll see you then,” the older Daicon replied. Hane sighed before glancing at Ruby.

“So… can I see it now?” he asked his coworker, who just puffed out her cheeks.

“I was being serious, mister!” She claimed. “You’ll bounce all over the place, breaking everything,” Hane grinned at that, poking her side as he leaned over.

“So you think I got in to, huh?” He teased, causing her to blush a bit, before whipping around and folding her arms.

“H-How am I supposed to know? It’s not like I know how UA grades its applicants!” She looked at the front door, sighing a bit. “So, after you go to UA, what are you going to do?” She asked. Hane cupped his chin, thinking to himself.

“Well, I wanna graduate UA and get my hero license, then, I’ll… just move back here and be a hero,” He said with a shrug. “I don’t really have any grandiose plans… I just wanna be able to help people and fight villains without being arrested,” He rubbed his nose. “But you know what would be cool? A Superhero team. I could like, get a bunch of partners and we could help each other save everyone! Maybe even do some cool poses!” Ruby smiled, giggling to herself before she turned back to Hane.

“You’re such a dork, you know that?” She commented. Hane just chuckled and rubbed his head, opening his mouth to respond, but before he could, the door opened again, revealing some customers coming in. The two turned and prepared to help them, and do their jobs together one more time.

At the end of his shift, Hane had slipped back on his hoodie, clutching the letter he got close to his chest when Ruby handed it to him. He wanted to open it now… but Ruby was right… besides, she didn’t need to see him acting uncool when he got accepted. He headed to the door, turning to give a carefree salute to Ruby before he left.

“Good luck, Hane!” She called out, waving to him. He grinned before replying.

“Luck? Don’t need it, but thanks for the thought!” He then opened the door. “I’ll see you when I return a hero this whole city can be proud of!” As he left, the door closing behind him, Ruby let out a sigh.

“Geez, Hane… you already are one…,” She muttered to herself.

The newly freed teen was ecstatic as he headed to the local park. That would be the most peaceful place to read his letter, and a good place to get some last minute practice with his quirk before he left for Japan. After all, he had to make sure he was ready for anything the school had to throw at him!

He rushed to the park, running down one of the paths, the trees around him giving off a peaceful feeling that was almost contrary to his hyperactive drive. He stopped by a bench with a trash can next to it, taking out the letter and staring at it one more time. He took a deep breath to calm himself before he ripped open the envelope, looking down at the paper. His eyes scanned the letter, reading over the formal things before one word grabbed his attention. It was only one word, but it would change his life forever…

    Rejected.
