  1. Valerie's grin widened as the boy threw up a barrier. "Not strong enough! I can get even hotter!" And true to her words the flames grew more intense, focused on the ice wall, as the girl decided to go after Lesnar instead. Didn't matter, Valerie knew what she had to do. Whoever of her opponents decided to go after her she'd bring down hard and then she could worry about the rest.

It was a good thing that these would be the last badges she needed to get. She could already feel the chill on her skin and she had only just started.

    "Don't forget about me!"

Valerie let out a shout and the fire around her grew just a bit larger. She'd have to dodge out of the way of the attack but she'd make sure that the guy regretted trying to attack her close range. Which also had the added effect of weakening the ice that the other one had sent towards her. She doubted she could dodge out of the way of them all so she instead focused on powering her way through it.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw Lesnar ram into the animal-like boy. Unfortunately it didn't take him entirely off his path and Valerie ended up launching a column of flames towards Loki and jumping backwards in an attempt to avoid his kick. Which ended up throwing herself backwards onto the ground.

She had to get up. She had to get up and close in on the ice boy. She didn't want to keep having to fire from a distance. Without getting closer she wasn't sure she could land a decisive blow.

  2. Rona felt a strange hint of disappointment as Aleithe came in, and immediately asked the same thing about the supplies. She wasn't sure why but she felt as though she was set aside suddenly.

Leon then showed that he already had gathered supplies and Rona felt foolish for having brought it up. Of course, he wouldn't have forgotten to do that first of all. They were here for supplies so it was stupid of her to suggest he didn't get them already. She did cheer up when he mentioned the lumber. "Ah, I can help with that." Rona said. "A bit of wood is nothing to me! Plus it would help with the stables and I should do what I can to make Cormag more comfortable." She then gave Leon a smile. "And I'll help paying for it. It's not like I have anything else to spend it on!"

Her laughter covered her embarrassment at the fact that, now that there wasn't much to do, she didn't much know what to do. What did people do with free time? She could train but...glancing at Aleithe, whom would be her most fitting training partner, she realized that she'd only feel clumsy training near someone so graceful.

So then what? She hadn't really had any hobbies before. What...did she even want to do?

For now all she could think of was staying near Leon and trying to give the people staring at them the friendliest, most confident, smirks she could muster up.

"Do you think there's...something wrong?" She muttered towards the other two of the group.

  3. "Well, thank you very much for your help, your Highness. Hopefully, we can repay you in someway,"

"Ah, it seems that you have proper manners. Though your manner of dress does indeed baffle me. You may repay me by vowing to destroy the evils of this world when you see it! Ah, what a glorious thought."

"Well met, Princess L'Arachel, and many thanks for your aid. I must admit to some confusion as to the whereabouts of your Rausten. May I ask where exactly that may be?"

"yeah, and what brings a Holy Peace Smiter like you to the middle of nowhere like this?"

L'Arachel gave a light chortle. "A wood cutter and a princess in the same group. Why, you remind me of my good friend Eirika. Though I must say you are much more brutish than she was, Catriona. But that's a good thing, all the better for slaying evil!"

She put a finger to her chin. "Rausten is located in the east of Magvel, of course, though it's nowhere near this Galtea you speak of. Isn't that odd? Both princesses but neither have heard of the other. What strange happenstance that we happen to meet like this. Nay, not happenstance, serendipity!"

The Awakened group had separated themselves somewhat from the others as the Abbot talked with them. Feeling out of place and out of sorts. "Unil." Dua said. "I'm not...sure why...we're still here."

Unil nodded. "Perhaps it's...father. Once he's gone...we too."

    Penvo shrugged. "It's nice...being back...not fighting."

Trim, however, was paying attention to the group. Specifically Tsetseg who was rambling on her own about...them. Trim moved towards her and tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. "Not...family. Family here." He gestured at his group, at the Abbot. "Home...here. Protect home. Protect...family."

Gunther stayed quiet as the series of incredible events continued. He was starting to almost get used to such strangeness. Which wasn't something he could have possibly expected. He had always assumed his life would be for the most part calm. Work, keep the princesses safe, stay in the military until he could make his own shop or something and just settle down.

He wasn't sure he was happy for this unexpected change.

Though he had decided to just watch as everyone went about their business, he didn't feel like he had much to add to all this oddness, something did bother him. The way people were looking at Link. Which was made even more clear by Adel's words. "Fancy a sparring session once we're rested up? Not sure what sort of magic this place uses, but I'd like to see for myself how much of you have changed."

Gunther frowned and spoke up. "Excuse me." He said towards the two. "But I just...that is....what are you talking about? Link hasn't changed at all." As far as Gunther could tell he was still the same incredible soldier as before.

Penelope was in the process of exploding. At least that's how it felt. This was incredible! So many things happening now and now that she learned this spirit was from such a long time ago, a time with very little recording, she knew what she had to do.

She bounded over to the man, face lit up in excitement, and asked him. "Books. That is...surely you must have written down your history and teachings somewhere right? Could I perhaps see it for myself?"

The princess grew concerned at the sad smile that the Abbot gave her. It was Dua, however, who answered for the man. "This place was burned...ransacked...many years ago."

Penelope felt herself grow cold. "How...how could someone destroy something of such importance." She was utterly devastated...for a few moments. Then a mad gleam lit up in her eyes and she pulled out parchment and a quill. "Respected spirit....Tell me everything. I will rewrite your history myself!"

She didn't even for a moment consider just how difficult that would be.

  4. Hotaru relaxed as she noticed that the Dragon that Dragonecro was threatening didn't seem to be bothered. Though Dragonecro himself seemed to be put off by that. "Very well, little dragon, another time." He then leaned back to his position behind Hotaru's shoulder.

"Hey, Hotaru." The Dragon said in a quieter voice. "There's a garbage heap coming our way. I wonder if it'd rust if left out in the rain."

Hotaru's eyes flicked over towards where the Scrap Worm was closing in on them. She lifted her legs so that her feet were on the chair as well, as though that would keep the thing from being able to touch her. It was a strange looking monster. It didn't look very threatening but it'd be just her luck if it carried some kind of spirit disease.

Then she almost fell out of her chair as the other wing, who was much different than herself she had noticed, suddenly erupted. He seemed upset mostly that everyone else was okay with all this. Hotaru opened her mouth to say something, then closed it, thinking better of it.

"Go ahead Hotaru, you have something to say, say it."

She nodded at the prompting and tried to look at Zirco's face, only managing to look at his chest. "I...don't think I...have anything else to do. Might as well, um, get it over with." She said, in her whispered, zombie-like, voice. Upon saying that she lowered her face again to hide it from the others.

She could hear the girl talking about not having done this as long as they are and she felt a bit of bitterness well up. What was the point of all that time if they could do it so quickly?

It wasn't much longer after this than someone arrived. The name Kaiba rang a bell but she didn't so much as look up to see what he looked like. For all she knew he was just a floating jacket talking to them. A thought brought on by Dragonecro's derisive "What a lame jacket." from beside her.

It turns out that he wanted them to be some sort of hero. Hero, her? No, that wasn't possible. She didn't want that at all. She just wanted to be left alone and....well she didn't know what then. People were vanishing, apparently. Hotaru probably should feel something for them. But she really didn't. They were just things that she didn't know. Just faceless somethings. What was it to her if they were gone?

But it didn't sound like they had much choice. If she didn't do it then she would just be out on her own with nothing to her name.

Nothing the others were saying was really getting through to her. Except that one girl...Octavia?

"And I want to talk to you about the situation in Hearthome once we figure out what's going on with the missing people."

Why? Did she think that she could actually make some sort of difference in the city? Hotaru looked up then, to look at this girl, unintentionally staring at her with her emotionless gaze. Why would, after all this, she bother trying to do more? Hotaru knew after she was done with this she'd do her best to keep away from any sort of responsibility.

Everyone was saying how they would accept this offer but Hotaru didn't bother. She heard him well enough. They had to do this anyway. He acted like there was a choice but they really didn't have one. Her thought on it didn't matter at all. Her gaze slowly lowered from Octavia as she once more resumed her original position.

  5. Morgan

The girl slapped her hand on the desk. "I don't think you understand. I don't want to do any of these sports. I am a lady of magic, not athletics, what I want is the strongest person here. I heard there was someone of great strength that comes here and I wish to speak to them."

She was starting to get frustrated. The woman behind the counter was of no help, merely mindlessly spouting off the various games she could take part in.

Right when Morgan was deciding she wasn't going to get anywhere a loud, male, voice boomed out. "You want the strongest? Well turn around and you'll be looking at him!"

She turned to see a tall, muscular, male with flowing hair that was quite literally posing in the middle of the room, showing off his muscles. Morgan sighed but put on an impressed face as she strode over to him. "My my, you do look strong. Could I maybe see just how strong?"

The man, who later introduced himself as Adonis, seemed almost surprised at the flirtatious tone but then agreed happily. Though he seemed confused when Morgan, as he led her to the gym, climbed into one of the training rings.

Several minuted later Adonis was laying on a scorched piece of floor against the far wall and Morgan was hovering over him with a mock-surprised face. "Wow, that was quick. I was sure you could handle more than that, Mr. Strongest."

Adonis looked up at her in fear and sputtered. "I didn't know you'd be using magic! I am the strongest! Physically..."

Morgan smirked. "So there are stronger than you. I wonder, would those happen to be former Arena Fighters?"

A small voice came behind her. "Excuse me? Magic isn't allowed here. This is for physical training." Morgan glanced over her shoulder to see a small, cripple, elf girl leaning against the ring. Morgan rolled her eyes and headed past the girl.

"I suppose I won't find what I'm looking for here after all. What a lousy tip that was...Goodbye, Mr. Strongest. Goodbye...I assume some sort of servant."

Leaving the area Morgan pulled out her watch. She didn't have anything else in mind for the day and she was bored. She looked through the possible contacts, which were all arena fighters, and with a sigh settled on messaging Cyan. "Hey, jerkwad, I'm bored. Is there anything fun you had in mind?"

Xia and the battle of the staircase

The enemy was relentless and powerful. Even Xia seemed unable to best this foe with brute force alone...The girl didn't find much as she climbed the many stairs in the library. However that changed when she stepped out into one of the floors. It was mostly empty, several people, looking to be students, were sitting at desks and reading from tablets which were the form the library books took here, and generally not paying attention.

Then Xia would step onto something, a tossed away wrapper with a bit of some sort of sandwich in it. As she likely marveled at the myriad of colors she would notice the presence of someone.

In front of her stood a giant chameleon, with several cleaning devices tied to its body and a nametag on a collar around their neck with the word "Janitor" on it.

The chameleon, which was the size of a large dog, approached the girl and nodded towards her foot, which was  standing on the wrapper.

    Tegur's Bar

The bar was fairly quiet that morning. It looked like even the usual waitress hadn't clocked in for the day yet. So it was just Tegur and the usual assortment of serving robots. The patrons were mostly a small group of what the fighters would recognize as various Arena workers, a couple older men who seemed to be waiting for something, and, at the bar, Mauvache herself was sitting and talking with Tegur. A glass the size of her head in her hand that was filled with some sort of blue liquid that, upon closer inspection, had sparks coming out of it at random intervals.

  7. Team Alola, Day 23, Danger Near a Cavelike Area

Having been hit by a Thunder Wave the large Skuntank now began to move more the speed one would expect with a person his size. He attempted to swipe at Nani but the girl managed to dodge out of the way. Due in part to the Skuntank taking a Water Gun attack to his face, knocking him backwards as he tried to keep the water from entering his nose and mouth.

Still, it seemed to be ready to keep going, and lunged forward to Night Slash Marie...only for his body to seize up due to the paralysis. Then he got blasted off his feet by the Fire Blast and landed on his back. It lay there, twitching, and struggled to get back to his feet. Anger clear in its wild eyes.

    Team Karaoke, Day 33, Juyu

"have you guys ever used this service before? I haven't but I'm sure it's going to be a wild ride."

"Can't...say I have." Gwen said, uncertain about this all. How could one Gijinka possibly transport them all in any speedy manner? She hesitantly floated after Nine and Lok. Noticing the tired state of the boy she reached into her bag and brought out a chunk of chocolate wrapped in some kind of leafy wrapping and held it out to him. "Here you go, Lok, this'll wake you up for sure."

Kayla muttered something then, about probably won't need that to wake up, and they'd notice she was already inside the basket-like object Quincy held.

"Hold...onto the sides." Kayla told them. "Falling off would be bad."

Gwen frowned here, but obediently grabbed onto one edge of the basket as she climbed aboard. "So...what exactly is it you do?" She asked Quincy.

"I fly! Really, really, fast! Everyone ready? Good!" Quincy said all this without pausing for an answer as she lifted up the handles on the basket. Then, with a sudden start, she took off running. Then, after several dozen feet, jumped into the air and took off at high speeds.

Gwen's grip slipped and she started to fall towards the back of the basket, ramming into Nine in the process.

"SLOW DOWN!" She shouted out over the wind.

"Speed up? Gotcha!" Quincy said and they took off at even greater speeds. Eventually they got into a more steady pace, one that allowed them to actually breath normally, and speak if they so wished.

"You should...have warned us." Gwen said, giving Nine a scolding look.

Team Showdown, Day 30, Southshore Forest

Zygarde watched Taiga for a moment, examining the odd Gijinka who had taken on some sort of leadership role in this fight.
Very well. She would see if this girl knew what she was doing. Veronica had attacked Scarlet and the two seemed to be locked in some sort of embrace but that didn't stop Taiga from launching an attack of her own at them. Which meant that Zygarde should feel no qualms about doing so.

Standing back up the Legend thrust her arms forward and the ground to the left and right of the pair erupted into a pair of arrows that were sent towards where the two Gijinka were locked in combat. Hopefully that Scizor could find a way out of this grapple in time.

Isole shook her head. "You're gonna get Scarlet killed." She muttered towards Taiga. "Guess it's the best chance to hit the Crobat though." So she added her own attack to the mix. Launching a Thunderbolt at the water that Taiga was sending towards the Crobat and electrifying it.

    Team Mac, Day 22, Ogren

"Oh, of course she can. She can have my bowl. You have no reason to complain about that, do you?" She said, turning to the leader of the group of kids, smiling sweetly at him. The boy blushed and muttered something unintelligible before rushing off and bringing the others, who were teasing him the whole way, out of the area.

She then turned to Mac, who was still standing on the table and looking rather unsure what to do with herself. "Here you go, sweetie, I already ate so you can have this one."

Mac looked down at them, then at the other two. "I...I could have taken them!" She shouted before snatching the bowl, sitting down, and spooning it into her mouth at a rapid pace.

The Miltank gave a small laugh behind her hand and turned back towards Ari and Kazo. "And what of you two? Did you eat your fill? You're both so very skinny! I heard you were adventurers of some sort that sounds like an awfully dangerous thing for a group of young Gijinka like yourself. I wonder, what drove you to take up such a risky endeavor? Surely you must have homes to go to." She then brought a hand to her face and gasped. "Oh, I apologize if I struck a nerve. I'm afraid I can be rather nosy at times."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 33, Under the Sea

The soldiers seemed to be thrown off by the polite responses from Easter and Denku, and one seemed to be particularly flustered at Easter's words. However it was when Brooke spoke that they gave the most reaction.

One of them, whom had been already flustered by Easter, recoiled and took a step back. He seemed concerned that Brooke was about to do something. The other, though, narrowed his eyes at the Emboar. "Threatening us will get you nowhere. Princess, is this brutish woman really some sort of guardian?"

"I don't know what that means!" Dora proclaimed happily. "But Brooke is like a big sister! A strong big sister! And Easter is a friendly big sister and and and Denku is a silly big brother!"

The two seemed to be rather confused by all this but, with a grunt from one, began to talk among themselves.

In the end they decided that the group as a whole at least seemed rather sincere and they ordered the Chinchou outside the bubble to move the floating object along faster and more steadily than Dora had been able to.

As they did Dora started to try and climb on Brooke's back, one of the two soldiers tried awkwardly to flirt with Easter, and the other, more serious one, began to question Denku about his "dangerous appearance" and seemed to be skirting around trying to ask him how to look cool, too.

  8. 2784Rx2.png?1

There were a lot of people here. Too many people. At least they weren't paying much attention to her. Usually she'd have gotten looks because of her height by now but it seemed that she was in the midst of some rather eccentric people.

It was nice to be able to sit there without worrying.

    Until...

"This is Hotaru, bearer of the Left Wing. I'd do a silly pun, but... it seems like he wouldn't appreciate it,"

Hotaru jumped a bit at her name being called and tilted her head down farther, obscuring her face more with her bangs. At the mention of a "he" the girl's eyes flicked to the side where Dragonecro was leaning over her shoulder and glaring daggers at the strange man.

"You aren't doing anything and you'll never do anything, puny human." Dragonecro said in a low, raspy, yet fierce, voice. Hotaru shifted a bit in her chair and, without thinking, put a hand up on his neck.

"I'm...okay." She muttered, forgetting for a moment that other people could hear her talking to the air.

Dragonecro snorted and leaned closer, whispering to the girl. "I don't like this man."

"You didn't like Tsukiko either." She reminded him.

"That's different. She gave me the creeps. He...is wrong." Before Hotaru could think about what he meant by this the dragon shifted gears. "But enough of that, look, we're in a room full of weirdos. We fit in nicely dontcha think?"

Then his head snapped up as he, and then Hotaru, noticed the other Dragon standing behind the most vocal of the group. Dragonecro grinned, baring his teeth, and leaned his serpentine neck forwards towards him. "Oh look, a tiny Dragon, isn't that adorable." He growled with a slight hint of challenge.

"Don't eat another one..." Hotaru said to him, once more seemingly talking to the air.

She finally realized what she was doing and stiffened up, glancing through her hair at the group around her. Though it seemed they were busy sharing their Dragon cards with everyone. Should she do that? She didn't really want to. Why did it matter if they needed to know they'd find out. Even so the girl silently raised the card containing Dragonecro for a few seconds and muttering, her tone dull and somewhat raspy, almost zombie-like "Dragonecro." before slipping it back into her pouch and returning to staring at the table.

  9. It wasn't long before the pair were ambushed. She hadn't really been trying to avoid this so it didn't come much of a surprise to Valerie. She almost laughed when she saw the ice, in fact, and the heat around her body began to increase almost as though responding to the threat. Though it was mostly due to how much she had been moving around.

Lesnar was able to rather quickly dodge out of the way of the beast-like boy's attack. Leaving a slight ringing in Valerie's ears that only got her more pumped up.

"Be ready, cause it's about to get loud."

This time she did laugh. "No worries. I like it loud."

She then took a few steps towards the group that had ambushed her. "You're here to take our badges." She grabbed the bag around her shoulder and tossed it to the side. It landed with a heavy thud as over forty pounds of weight hit the pavement. Valerie slowly spun that arm in a circle, stretching it out. "Which means you must have a couple badges already between you all, right?"

    The Fiery Soul Emerges

The heat increased more as the girl gave a wild grin. "So I guess at the end of this fight some of us are gonna be able to pass the test."

    "Sucks to be you."

Flames erupted to life around Valerie's body, almost reaching Lesnar near Valerie's side, and she quickly moved into the position she wanted. A position which allowed her, with a grunt of effort, to send a column of flames roaring past the chain of arms that the girl had sent her way, blocking its path towards Valerie, and right towards the ice maker.

"You're messing with the best now!" She shouted and, as the flames made their path, she ran towards the girl with the strange arms. She didn't seem like the strongest of them but from what Valerie could tell her Quirk would make it much harder to deal with the other two.
