CIS archetype (Star Wars)(Written)

Recommended Posts

Slowly expanding this archetype.

CIS B1 Battle Droid
EARTH
Level 3
Machine/Effect
ATK: 1500 DEF: 0

Can only be used as material in the Link Summon of a "CIS" monster. If this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "CIS B1 Battle Droid" from your Deck.

Spoiler

The B1 battle droid is the most used battle droid by the CIS. While being completely ineffective in 1-on-1 combat, the B1 was meant to be as cheap as possible so it could be deployed in sheer numbers. The effect to summon it references the CIS's battle strategy of having an infinite number of droids continuously walk forward holding down the trigger on their blaster.

CIS B2 Battle Droid
EARTH
Level 4

Machine/Effect
ATK: 1800 DEF: 1000

Can only be used as material in the Link Summon of a "CIS" monster. If this card is Normal Summoned: You can, immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 "CIS" monster from your Hand (except "CIS B2 Battle Droid"). You only gain this effect of "CIS B2 Battle Droid" once per turn. If this card battles an opponent's monster: It gains 500 ATK.

Spoiler

The B2 Super Battle Droid was designed to remedy the flaws of the B1. While being more expensive, the B2 had thicker armor and a better processor that made it more suited for actual combat, as the B1 was originally intended to work security on Trade Federation Lukerhulks to scare off pirates. Because it was more expensive, it was intended to be deployed in smaller numbers with its own posse of B1s to back it up.

CIS Droideka
EARTH
Level 4
Machine/Effect
ATK: 2000 DEF: 0

If you control only "CIS" cards, you can Special Summon this card from your Hand. You can only use this effect of "CIS Droideka" once per turn. Cannot be destroyed by battle. While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot target other “CIS” monsters with attacks, except for “CIS Droideka”.

Spoiler

Also known as a destroyer droid, the droideka is probably one of, if not the most, feared droid on the battlefield due to its deflector shield. This shield could withstand most attacks outside of the heavy weapons category, making it effective at cutting down infantry. An interesting fact about this droid is that it was so expensive, that the Trade Federation cut the Colicoid inventors of the droideka a deal that they would pay for it with exotic meat instead of money. reasoning that hiring hunters was more cost effective than actually purchasing the droid.

CIS Dwarf Spider Droid

EARTH

Level 5

Machine/Effect

ATK: 2000 DEF: 0

If your opponent controls a Defense Position monster, you can Special Summon this card(from your Hand). You can only use this effect of "CIS Dwarf Spider Droid" once per turn. If this card destroys a Defense Position monster, you can apply 1 of these effects:

-Inflict piercing damage to your opponent.

-This card can attack a second time.

If this card is destroyed by a monster(by battle or by effect): Destroy that monster.

Spoiler

The Dwarf Spider Droid was used by the Commerce Guild at their debt slave mining operations. When the miners got the idea that they didn't need their Commerce Guild oppressors and hid in the mines, the Commerce Guild deployed this nightmare. Since it was made to operate in a mine, it has incredibly slow movement, but makes up for it by having a powerful blaster that can fire slow powerful bolts or smaller faster bolts, and in case it gets destroyed, it comes equipped with its own self-destruct mode.

Geonosis
field spell

You take no damage from battles involving "CIS" monsters. If a "CIS" monster attacks an opponent's monster with a higher ATK: It gains 1000 ATK until the end of the Damage Step. During your End Phase: You can Special Summon 1 "CIS Geonosian Warrior Tokens" (Instect/EARTH/Level 1/ATK: 1000 DEF: 0), but it can only be used as material in the Link Summon of a "CIS" monster.

Spoiler

Geonosis was the home to the Geonosians, who were committed to the Separatist cause to the bitter end, even long after the Clone Wars ended. It was the home of the first droid factories and was a major tactical victory for the CIS, as there only objective was to successfully retreat.

CIS Revolt

Trap

If an opponent's monster attacks a "CIS" monster you control, or if an opponent's monster targets a "CIS" monster you control with a card effect: Target that monster; Destroy it. You can banish this card from your GY; Set 1 "CIS" Spell/Trap card from your Deck, and if you control "Geonosis" when this effect resolves, you can activate it this turn. You can only activate each effect of "CIS Revolt" once per turn.

CIS Commando Droid
EARTH
Machine/Link/Effect
ATK: 1500 LINK-1
Compass: 1 Down

1 "CIS" monster
Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed. This card can attack directly, but if it does so with this effect, its ATK is halved until the end of the Damage Step. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; Destroy it.

Spoiler

The BX Commando Droid was developed for the purpose of infiltration and sabotage. It had an advanced processor that allowed it to use much more advanced tactics than the B1 and B2, and could act more independently. It could even engage in hand-to-hand combat, a luxury the B1 and B2 lacked in. In addition, it had tough armor that allowed it to take several punches.

CIS Defoliator
EARTH
Machine/Link/Effect
ATK: 2000 LINK-2
compass: left,right

2 "CIS" monsters
(Quick Effect) You can tribute 1 other "CIS" monster you control, then target 1 card your opponent controls; Destroy it. If this card is destroyed by your opponent: You can Special Summon 1 non-Link "CIS" monster from your GY.

Spoiler

The defoliator is a cannon that can be attached to an AAT (armored assault tank) and had an incredible area of effect with an incendiary round that incinerated anything it touched.

CIS Super Tank
EARTH
Machine/Link/Effect
ATK: 3000 Link-3
compass: up,left,down

2+ "CIS" Effect monsters
Cannot be destroyed by card effects. Once per turn: You can activate this effect; Other monsters you control cannot attack, also destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls with less ATK than this card, then reduce this card’s ATK by 500(permanently). Any battle damage your opponent takes this turn is halved. If this card is sent from the field to the GY by your opponent's card or effect: Special Summon 1 non-Link "CIS" monster from your GY.

Spoiler

The Super Tank only ever saw action in the Second Battle of Geonosis. It was a massive juggernaut that had a massive amount of rockets it could fire, as well as heavy blasters on the front. In addition, it had thick armor that could take on several heavy Republic artillery and walk out unscathed.
