Vote for Mawile.
I dare say it's the best example of what a mega evolution can do for a single-stage Pokemon with originally lackluster stats. To this day I'm still amazed at that. Other megas for single-stage Pokemon get close, namely Kangaskhan, Mega Pinsir and Absol, but IMO they don't compare to Mawile's paired with its innate Intimidate.
