Summer Aix 12 Posted January 18, 2019 Simple deck I threw together today with the release of RNA on MtG: Arena. It's basically Elfball plus the crazy Jellyfish Hydra Beast refilling your hand and replenishing your health. Needs a lot of refining, I'm considering adding an Immortal Sun, but it might too lategame. Deck snowballs hard when unchecked like Elfball does, but probably collapses to good removal. Simic Ascendancy is actually possible to pull off when played lategame with multiple Hydroid Krasis, but I don't think it's actually practical in most cases. https://mtgarena.pro/decks/simic-ramp-bbfd67bc-fa32-45bb-93ec-28bfb53409c6/ 2 Hadana's Climb (RIX) 158 8 Island (RIX) 193 8 Forest (RIX) 196 2 Simic Ascendancy (RNA) 207 4 Hydroid Krasis (RNA) 183 4 Llanowar Elves (DAR) 168 4 Incubation Druid (RNA) 131 3 Druid of the Cowl (M19) 177 2 Marwyn, the Nurturer (DAR) 172 2 Dive Down (XLN) 53 3 Breeding Pool (RNA) 246 3 Hinterland Harbor (DAR) 240 4 Incubation // Incongruity (RNA) 226 4 Growth-Chamber Guardian (RNA) 128 3 Beast Whisperer (GRN) 123 2 Applied Biomancy (RNA) 153 2 Frilled Mystic (RNA)
Summer Aix 12 Posted January 18, 2019 Took Simic Ascendancy out. Put in an End-Raze Forerunners and an Immortal Sun. Works great so far.
Rinne 13 Posted January 19, 2019 (edited) So I think a Gx Elves shell is viable in the upcoming standard, but have you considered going Gruul? Rhythm of the Wilds seems absolutely backbreaking against control, and the removal is better -- Lava Coil, Thrash/Threat, Lightning Strike, etc. I do think the core of whatever you have should be: 4 Llanowar Elves 4 Druid of the Cowl 4 Elvish Clancaller 4 Growth-Chamber Guardian 4 Incubation Druid 3 Marwyn, the Nurturer 2 End-Raze Forerunners Edited January 19, 2019 by Rinne
