Shradow 38 Posted January 21, 2019 I'm not talking American Ninja Warrior, with its lack of charm and focus on lame sob stories, I'm talking the original. Back when G4 was still a thing it aired an edited version as Ninja Warrior, but Sasuke is still going strong in Japan (the 36th competition was held at the end of last year). I hadn't seen it for years so I've been rewatching it from the beginning (and once I pass where the American broadcasts ended I'll switch over to the original Japanese), and it's as great as I remember. The courses are still hype and I love both the wacky and the serious veteran competitors (my favorite is Nagano Makoto, a fisherman who won the 17th tournament back in 2006).
