Sacred Swords of Revealing Light
Spell Card
After this cards activation, it remains on the field, but destroy it during the End Phase of your opponents 3rd turn. When this card is activated: flip all face-down monsters face-up (Flip effects are not activated at this time.) While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot conduct their Battle Phase. While you control a monster in the Extra Monster Zone, this card is unaffected by other card effects. You can only control 1 "Sacred Swords of Revealing Light".

So Sacred Swords of Revealing Light is basically a suited up version of the original Swords where this flips face down monsters up but prevent flip effects from happing, completely shuts your opponent out of their battle phase and protects itself if you control a monster in the Extra Monster Zone. In any deck using this card can help you stall for getting cards you need to set up and counter your opponent while the card itself will be difficult to counter if you have a monster in the Extra Monster Zone to give it that extended protection.

Yeah there are 3 main distinctions:
1. It doesn't activate flips.
The original swords were meant to produce a strategic option for the 2002 format, which caused Trap Master to flip with no traps around, Man Eater Bug to destroy itself if no other options were available, and Hane Hane to self-bounce. Now your version simply says no to flips regardless of scenarios.
2. It flips your own monsters as well.
The original one only affected the opponent's monsters, which makes it reasonable that no flips go off, otherwise it'd entice some sort of loop eventually. On the other hand, if this card existed IRL, it'd be a further reason in favor of Book of Moon and the like coming back to 3 on the list, as now you have an edge against setting down as disruption against most Extra Deck mechanics. 
3. It self protects. This is good, and I dare say it's what would make it worth it. It's not invincible but it takes an extra step to remove. Fair enough.

If I had to suggest something: Swords of Concealing and Swords of Burning are both Continuous, and even Spiritual Swords as a Trap is. It'd add "Watch Cat" as a potential searcher if this card was as well.
