Chiri Bedhead 116 Posted February 17, 2019 (edited) Rules Spoiler 1. Each person will be allowed to nominate up to 6 movies (live-action and animated are both allowed). This number may change if the goal is not met within a week. 1a. The goal is to get at least 64 movies. If we quickly get more nominations than 64, the goal may be increased. If that doesn't happen quickly, only up to the 64th nomination will be allowed. 2. Only one nomination is needed for an entrant. If someone already chose one you wanted to pick, you can use or not use (it's up to you) your nomination for a different movie. 3. When nominating, make sure to include each movie's year of release (this is necessary to know if a movie is a remake or to differentiate two completely different movies with the same title). 4. Ties will not be allowed. 5. Advertising matches is allowed, but please do not ask people to vote for a specific option. 6. Be civil. A little about the name, even though we really don't need it. Spoiler I didn't want to take the name of the unfinished tournament on YCM from years ago (Movie Showdown) exactly as it was (even though the chances of the person coming and saying I did that would be slim), but if I just changed "Movie" to "Film" to it would be abbreviated "FS," like "Final Smash." I guess there'd be nothing wrong with that, but I'd feel better if it wasn't the same abbreviation so on the off chance (not just chance, off chance) someone uses the abbreviation to talk about this, no one would think it's about Smash. I think I can guess, but I probably shouldn't, just in case.

Chiri Bedhead 116 Posted February 24, 2019 There's almost an hour to go, but it's been a week and if I counted correctly, we currently have 50 nominations. If we don't get any more people and I gave everyone one more and everyone that didn't use all of theirs does, then we would get 63. So, I'm now allowing everyone 2 more nominations for a total of 8 each. I'll put in one for myself now and not anymore unless we go long enough and it seems like I need to: The Hangover (2009) And so you all know about this, @rep @LordCowCow @Darj @Nico @Yui @Fusion @iarimakousei @MetalSonic

Chiri Bedhead 116 Posted February 25, 2019 With that nominations are closed. I could get some matches up now, but I'll try and do that some time earlier tomorrow. Here's a randomization for the first round. Spoiler
Chiri Bedhead 116 Posted March 6, 2019 (edited) With that, the first round is now over. Next round should begin soon. Here's the related randomization. Spoiler As you can see, I made a misteak and put "the City of Azkaban." That's because I copied it from the match and I made the misteak there.
