Kickoff was today, but Akira didn't care about that. No, he had a more important thought on his mind at the moment, and that was getting the club room cleaned. He had realized that packing sweaty people in a room made the place smell, so he opened a window to air out the room while also just doing general cleaning on the equipment and sweeping the floors. He probably should had passed this off to someone else, but it was something he sort of enjoyed doing. It let him unwind and sort his thoughts. Even the loud and bombastic needed some time to themselves after all. As he finished up cleaning however, his phone's notification sound rang out. To: THE MAN Hey dude, sorry I've been so busy lately, but can we hang out for a bit today? There's some stuff I wanna talk to you about before the duel. Kinda important. Huh, it seemed Yushiro needed some advice. The two needed to catch up anyways, they'd both been really busy with their own stuff, and he had finished up what he was doing. Seemed some good things were going on after all. To:THEMANYUSHIRO Of course! I, the man Akira was just thinking about asking to see if you wanted to hang out! Where do you wanna meet up? Sai sighed to himself as he sat down, blanket hung over his shoulders as he watched his game system boot up. It was the day of the kickoff, meaning that he was free! Everyone would be at that stupid event, and he could play as many video games as he wanted until Souji came back. It had been a hot minute since he last had a good gaming session. He was ready to enter a world of fun! However, his phone had other ideas. I plan to, so if you want to as well, it would be beneficial to the club as a whole to get a view on two other Duelist's styles of Dueling as well as get a bit of scouting on whoever the Duel Team has this year. Hmmm... very interesting. However... he hit the reply button unsure and uncaring if it would send to everyone or to just Souji. From: Sai Salamander Do you know who I am? Of course I ain't going. Ah, so there it is. Odd, and I thought I even double read the second word. Guess I needed more than 2 reads. With that name and this card being a blatant upgrade of Poly, I can't take it seriously. It should be in the Joke cards section instead, IMO xD

I assume the first effect intents to protect the Koa'kis from their self-destructions. If so, it won't work, because as maintenance costs those are destructions by card mechanics, not so much by effect. That's why the Diamond Core protects from destruction in general, without specifying from an effect, battle, nor both. That aside, I like the first and third effects: first one nicely balances the drawing of Iron Core, which is often a dead card unless you make use of it by discarding and whatnot; and the last makes the Link a fun meta call for decks that can drop it. The second effects bugs me, however, because not only it can be an easy +1 by milling a Core, also it can bring Urnight for spamming power. Maybe if it was limited to discarding a Core, and reviving from the GY, but even then, It's asking for Urnight combos. Which is not exactly a bad thing, but IMO is prone to abuse, since Urnight lacks a hard OPT.
