If I had the stamina and the wherewithal for it, I'd like a late-night block of time (preferably an hour, maybe 4 to 5 AM, though I could settle for thirty minutes) that would be dedicated to ambient soundscape dj sets or production. No ads (obviously), no commentary aside from maybe an introduction at the beginning, just chill. Something akin to Surf Solar or XYZ, which aren't technically ambient but are in the same wheelhouse, would be as intense as it would get. Why late at night? I mean, I'd imagine that'd be the best time for it. Not that I wouldn't want listeners or anything, just that I'd want those listeners to talk about it in these mythical tones a la "if you tune your dial just right at such and such a time..." and that seems like a good way to add to that effect.

Ivan kept his elbow over his mouth in a vein attempt to keep sand out of it. His teammates weren't fairing much better, Jacklyn basically inviting the sand to attack her. He was ready to get out of this hell as soon as possible, as he kept marching on. He had even elected to wear the leather jacket once more - while it made the sun yet again burning him alive, he preferred the heat to the scorching sand singing his bare arms. As they kept marching on, however, they heard the cries of a Pokemon. The Pokemon sounded like it was in distress, which was enough to convince Ivan to investigate it. At the very least, it would be more interesting than the barren nothing they were experiencing. When they got closer, he saw a blue bear... fish?... Pokemon he had never seen before cowering under cover as a group of Vullaby were attacking it. Ivan grit his teeth behind his elbow, the sand grating between his teeth. As everyone else sent out their Pokemon, Ivan had a different response. The boy dived right into the fray, jumping into the flock of Vullaby between them and the platybear. "Hey! Scra-ack!" He shouted, a particularly nasty blast of sand flying right into the roof of his mouth, as he swung his arms to try and swat the birds away.

Lok Team ThunderWaves Lok grinned as he landed his burn on the Godslayer, although his moment of victory didn't last very long, as it didn't take long for Veronica to pick herself up, dashing directly at Taiga once again. Lok stumbled back, the flame in his hand shifting to crackling lightning. However, as he fired off a Thunderbolt, he missed once again; the Godslayer was simply too fast for him to hit. He frowned; even after following Taiga's advice, he wasn't able to quite land anything. She was simply too fast. In fact, everyone was starting to get too fast for him to keep up with - even Keanu, with a surge of lightning, managed to catch up with the speedy Crobat. Lok needed to come up with something to keep up. Looking down at the poles, noticing the damage that had been done to them, he got an idea. With a bolt of lightning, Lok struck at one of the pillars, making sure to grab some of the debris that his attack had caused. He put away the three splinters he had made, turning back to the Godslayer. To his dismay, he saw that the Crobat was now surrounded in a cyclone of wind from her spinning, Keanu stuck in it. However, he also noticed the remnants of lighting everywhere from what Keanu had managed to do earlier. He also noticed that this was probably the closest he was ever going to get to having her stuck in one place. While the premise of hitting Keanu with his attack was concerning, Lok needed to do something now. As he extended his arm towards Veronica he felt the lightning around him start to jump at him, surging through his arm as he channeled his own lightning. Gritting his teeth, he unleashed a powered-up Thunderbolt, the lightning much faster and stronger than anything he was able to do previously. With any luck, this would hit the Godslayer or, at the very least, get her to stop doing what she was doing. Scarlet Team SuperPower Scarlet let out a gasp of air as Mia slammed her into the ground, losing her grip on the slayer. Slowly, she picked herself up as Brooke struck with her own attack. As she stood up, however, the horrifying sound of bells tolled as she felt her armor vibrate from the attack. It wasn't just her armor - the whole arena seemed to shake rhythmically with the bells, as Mia returned to rolling around once more. She turned to Brooke, nodding as she checked on everyone. "I'm-m G-G-Go-oo-d." She said, having a hard time speaking due to the bells. Brooke was quick to jump into the action, managing to grab a hold of the spinning Godslayer and even slamming her into the ground. Nani did the same, in a shockingly similar way - even down to the red glow both of them had. Scarlet cocked her head, her armor starting to glow a hot red, before darting in once more, a trail of steam following her. With her wings fluttering, Scarlet flew right at MIa, slamming her fists into the Godslayer's body. With the sheer force of the strike, Scarlet dragged both her and the slayer across the ground, sending rubble flying everywhere as Scarlet kept striking with a flurry of blows. Eventually she stopped when they hit the edge of the arena; Scarlet's shoulders slumping slightly as more steam emitted from her body as she stepped back from her opponent. "G-go-ood jo-ob..." She said, clutching her head from the ringing sound of the bells.

well if we assume "in" to mean "within the set of these three words: 'the, english, and language'" then i would say "the" is the most useful and therefore my favorite More seriously, this isn't a question I think about too often, and I don't know if I can narrow it down to just one, but there are some goodies out there like "praxis" or "dialysis" that are more fun to say than anything else. "Colloquialism." "Xenial." I learned that last one from A Series of Unfortunate Events. Outside the English language is a bit trickier because, although I know significantly fewer words, a lot of them, like "schaudenfreude" are technically loaner words so I'm not going to count those. I do have "Götterdämmerung" which I'm pretentious enough to use as the title of an RP, so I guess that?

Ari was already injured from being slammed into the wall, and he wasn't as fast as Mac. So he knew he wouldn't be able to do anything to avoid this attack. In fact, it was very likely that this would be what finished him off. But...he wasn't down for the count just yet! Picking himself up from the ground, the Litleo spat out another giant fireball. The Godslayer was forced to dodge to the side to avoid it, and by the time he had got himself back on course for Ari, Mac's Quick Attack and Jabari's Shock Wave reached him. While that happened, Ari charged for the Godslayer as well, the power of friendship adding strength to his blow. The Godslayer took it with little reaction though, giving out an attack of his own--a Force Palm that knocked the Litleo silly. Coughing, the lion cub struggled to rise once more. He wasn't strong enough...but even if he wasn't strong enough, he couldn't just do nothing! Working himself Up into a frenzy, he was knocked back once more by the Godslayer's kick. Ugh... He felt like the living dead. Or something like that. Coughing out blood, the Litleo gritted his teeth. "I...won't let you win!" he shouted, running forward and attempting to bite down with a Fire Fang, only to be avoided. This time, though, he jumped back, almost in reflex, so the Godslayer's punch to the cub's gut wasn't nearly as painful as it would've been before. -- Ankou had started talking less and less, focusing more on her attacks as she pummeled Nine with mixed success. The Houndoom had made himself more of a target than Easter with his snide remarks. Which wasn't good. At this rate, Nine would end up taking his crown as the king of battle taunts. Oh no, he really couldn't let that happen. "Yeah, isn't this what you wanted, after all? A nice, long...rest," Easter finished as he ran toward where the Gardevoir had Teleported, turning around when she winked out existence once more, and slamming his Psyshock into her right as she reappeared. "You should be thanking us for this. But don't worry, we'll understand if you can't send us gifts or anything. I don't know if the afterlife has a postal service. Guess you'd have to ask one of those legendaries you so hate for permission." As a reward for his smart mouth, the Sylveon received Psyshock as well. Laughing, despite the pain, or perhaps because of it, Easter bared his teeth in a grin, catching the Gardevoir in the side with a kick. As she slid back, he followed up with a punch, clicking his tongue when his fist hit empty air. Pulling back so as not to overstrain his arm, his ears twitched, and he dodged to the side to avoid the Thunderbolt that came crackling toward his back. Without even turning to look at her, he released a Swift, leaping up into a backflip at the same time and landing on the psychic type. "Gotcha," he cackled, taking her Draining Kiss as he dealt out a point-blank Moonblast in return. Jumping back from the resulting explosion of power, he landed on his feet, letting out a cry of surprise as one of his legs gave way, causing him to sink to one knee, the ground underneath him starting to become stained with the blood dripping from his wounds. "Hoo...you're not bad," he panted. "Guess this is what it means to fight a Godslayer." -- Veronica moved to avoid the Ice Fang headed straight for her, but was unable to dodge in time, shivering as the icy attack met its mark. "Tch...you just get faster and faster, don't you?" she asked. "Looks like I'll have to put you down sooner than later!" She retaliated with a Cross Poison while Taiga was still in melee range. Keanu, on the other hand, was focused more on what the Sharpedo had just said. "Cover the place with lightning, huh?" Keanu asked, a glint in his eye. "K'den, ya got it, sistah." Hopping on his tail, the pendant with the strange stone he wore around his neck, usually tucked underneath his shirt--back when he wore one--began to glow. "Time to get zappy. Stoked...Sparksurfer!" he shouted, diving off of the pole and bouncing between it and the other poles, trailing lightning in his wake. He felt good. He felt fast. And for once...he was faster than Veronica. The Crobat's eyes widened, and she moved to evade it, but this time she was too slow. Or maybe it was that he was too fast? Doesn't matter, he thought triumphantly as he crashed into the Godslayer. All that mattered was that he hit her. The area around the two was blindingly bright for a moment, the air crackling with electricity. Veronica had fallen to the ground, twitching slightly, and for a second, Keanu thought it was finally over. And then the Crobat rose up from the ground, hair sticking out every which way from static. Running a hand through it, she ground her teeth. "Unbelievable...unbelievable! I can't believe this. Do you know...just how long it took to get this styled?! Well? DO YOU?!" "Ka! Calm down, wahine. It's just a little static," Keanu momentarily forgot he was in a fight, backing up with his hands held up in the air to pacify the obviously enraged wahine in front of him. "Just a little...just a little?! Do you call this JUST A LITTLE?!" the Crobat roared, heaving for breath. "No...I shouldn't expect uncivilized plebeians like you to understand. I didn't want to use this move, but..." she soared into the air, though far less gracefully than before, "...I won't hold back anymore!" "If that was you holding back, then I really wouldn't mind you continuing to do so," Keanu quipped. Veronica ignored him, rising higher, rotating her body like a spiral as she did so. Upon reaching the apex of her climb, she spun even faster, till she was nothing more than a blur. Then, a large vortex of wind appeared around where Veronica continued her revolution, expanding into a cyclone that surrounded the Godslayer and prevented anybody from going near lest they get caught up in it. Keanu was, unfortunately, close enough to the Godslayer that he had been swept up anyway, slamming from post to post as he whirled through the air. What little oxygen he had left in his lungs was knocked loose from them, and with the high winds surrounding him, he found it hard to breathe.

Team ThunderWaves With the Rotom landing a burn on the pinned Gijinka, Taiga smiled. A burn would really wind up weakening all of Veronica's attacks! However, the girl was able to get up from the torrent of water thanks to the winds that rushed from behind her. She managed to race to the top of the waterfall, only to sink her fangs into Taiga. "Tch!" Taiga winced, as the girls speed was still enough for her not to be able to react to the assault. What was more was that the Gijinka used Taiga as a damn springboard of sorts, pushing off of her abdomen to take to the air once more. The kick was enough to knock Taiga off balance, sending her down the side of her own artificial aqueous creation. She really didn't want to take a fall from this height, so in the midst of free-falling, she shot a jet of water out of her feet to push her into the forest of poles. There she grabbed onto one, and used her momentum to spin down to the ground. She looked to the bite wound that she had received. It stung, but what stung more was that the bitch probably healed from that attack. "We can't be hit by too many of those...she won't catch me again so easily!" Taiga rattled a fist off at the girl. Her eyes focused on the girl's movements, looking rather similar to hers. They were the same type of fighter after all...speed ball attacks at a high enough frequency would beat even the toughest of foes. But Taiga now had the advantage in power, and she would in speed soon enough. "Forget about aiming at her, ya good for nothin's! Aim where she's gonna be! Cover this place in lightning for all I care!" Taiga realized she might get caught in the crossfire as well. As a precaution, Taiga linked both her and Veronica's destinies, with a red glint in her eye. "Let's finish it already!" Taiga said, sprinting towards Veronica with a large pair of frosty jaws ready to snap.
