Team ThunderWaves And with a stray Thunderbolt that somehow managed to hit it's mark, the confrontation was over. She was upset she wasn't able to get the last word in before she saw the slayer fall to her knees. It was such a relief to see her go down though. So much so that Taiga let out and exasperated gasp, falling to the ground on her tail. These two she was fighting with really pissed her off, but they managed to get the job done, mostly due to her impeccable strength. "Fufufu.." She let a laugh slip, before falling straight onto her back. Her breathing was heavy and ragged, but she took her time to relax her body. It had been non-stop battles for a good while now. The whirring of the teleporting door began once more, prompting her to sigh. Whatever was through that portal probably wasn't going to be friendly. She took a piece of food she nabbed from Rayquaza's palace, and started to chew on it. It would be enough to give her some energy back. "Phew, thank the legends that that's over." "No thanks to you, ya lightweight!" Taiga rattled her fist at him with a mouthful of food. "Hopefully we won't have to battle anybody else." Taiga's eyes almost rolled into the back of her head. Was this guy really that dense? "Hey, good work out there. And I never got your names earlier. I assume yours is Taiga, though, if what that wahine was saying was right. Mine's Keanu." "Well, seeing as how you risked your neck alongside me, I'll acknowledge your efforts." Taiga put her fist out to the side, towards Keanu. "The name's Taiga the Terrible Tyrant Toppler. I won't answer to anything else, so you better remember!" "Even perfection has to fall sometime, I guess..." Taiga looked at the frazzled body of the unconscious Crobat. Perfect wasn't a word she'd use for the bitch. "So, uhh...What're ya gonna do then, sistah?" "Sister? Oh," she shook her head. "I'm going to stay here, with Veronica." "Thanks for back there, by the way." "It was no problem," the Fletchling replied, turning to look at the other two as well, giving Taiga a little wave of recognition. Taiga waved back, albeit with minor annoyance at the girl, but with a smile on her face. "Actually, I want to thank you three. I...hope that, when she wakes up, she'll have changed her mind. About the gods, Adarid, and...her life." "Yeah." "Doubt it. But we'll knock her back down if she tries anything funny." Taiga pointed towards the Fletchinder. Keanu then offered some berries from his pouch, which Taiga gladly accepted. Fruits were hard to come by, but she loved their sweet, sour, and spicy flavors. The bitter ones could go suck eggs. "Wouldn't mind resting a little longer, but I guess we can't put it off for too long, eh?" With him rising to his feet, it signaled for their departure into the next room. "Guess not. Why the rush though? The others can handle it..fufufuf." Taiga got to her feet, and stretched from side to side. "Just kiddin'! Let's make this quick, I wanna be the first ones done!"

It had seemed that the groups best efforts tensions were still rising. Now it seemed like it had more to do with the job that Madelyn had been hired for and the terms between her and the other minotaurs. Ryia couldn't help but be impressed by how confidently and defiantly the mage stood against the minotaur, though she was also certain that the girl was in a very perilous situation. As the leader of the minotaur seemed ready to get more forceful, Ryia cleared her throat to try and interject. Of course, as she did, the attention would now obviously be on her and she didn't exactly feel confident in her ability to talk down a large beast man twice her size. Though this was the situation she found herself in and her nerves about it were very clear. "U-um...excuse me, sorry. But um, maybe we could uh...work something out...together? Maybe?" "Work what out? We don't have stuff for trade." "Well, see um." The girl looked nervously between the two for a bit before saying, "we uh, also like finding magical ruins. And stuff. Old places and uh, I - I think that Madelyn would be uh, really helpful. For finding them. Uh, yeah." The minotaur narrowed his eyes. "You're trying to steal what we're searching for." He then said some things in his racial language and the other two minotaur started closing in closer to him. "Oh, no, no, no." Ryia waved her hands as if to show she meant no ill will. "We would never - I um, I don't even know what you're searching for. No um, I was just trying to suggest we uh, we search for it together. And I guess uh, pay for Madelyn's fee for the next ruins." She didn't dare to look at the others as she said this, feeling quite guilty about just solely coming to the conclusion to use the group's money like this. But she couldn't really think of any other way to dissolve the tension. "I keep telling you." Madelyn said, staring at Ryia, "there isn't a next ruins. Spirits above why can none of you get that. I hoped for better from you." Ryia stared blankly at Madelyn for a moment, a noticeable pause in the conversation. It should've been apparent to Ryia already that the girl didn't seem to have any perception of the danger she was in, either because she was actually that strong that no such danger existed or she was simply that unaware. Ryia felt like it would be bad to assume the first though the second seemed pretty insulting in its own way. All the same, the girl tried to back pedal to continue diffusing the situation. "Okay, okay, well um, not ruins. Other - other magical places. Where there's uh, likely to be other...magic things." The minotaur looked among themselves and spoke a bit. "We could bring you to chief. Tied up. Without your weapons." The lead minotaur said. Ryia said, "oh well, um, that - huh?" The girl stopped herself from saying anything more as she fully processed what the minotaur had said. While she felt like she had made some progress the latter of half of the deal certainly sounded very unappealing to her. As such, the girl simply let out an, "uhhhh," as she looked to the others for assistance.

While most people crowded around the yet to be revealed corpse there were those staying closer to the back and socializing, mostly the more wealthy types who viewed the event as an opportunity to show off exactly how much they had, and, quite out of place with he crowd, was a man who may have been a bank teller by his dress. He nervously yet seamlessly made his way from one group to the other easily making small talk and keeping up with the socialites. This man was Alex Reed and he, like several other attendees, felt an odd compulsion to enter the museum that day. While others weren't quite sure why they felt the need to be there Alex,as far as he knew, was quite sure. for the longest time Alex had struggled with a burning desire to nab whatever beautiful thing a person happened to be wearing and he had reasoned that, knowing the social significance of the unveiling, his compulsion had simply gotten the better of him yet again. So Alex introduced himself countless times to countless people with countless shiny things to take but nothing quite called out to him until he began making his way closer to the center of the crowd. "Muddy hooves! Now what kinda flowers' got some of those!? Good one Ms. Joestar." Alex didn't quite get a look at the man attached but that gold cross was practically begging him to take it. It would definitely be tricky but he'd been behind the eight ball before and still made out with his prize, and to imagine the joy the man would receive upon it's return, this cross was certainly the one. Alex excused himself from whatever mindless chatter he'd been engaging in and made his way towards the man, careful to stay just far enough away to not be suspicious but still keep an eye out for an opening. "Oh, why do I do this? Some fine fella I've become." He thought, eyeing the chain longingly.
