With the reveal and the return to the classroom, Diana couldn't help but feel a little sheepish. She didn't feel like she deserved such praise... Especially if a student in the other class took down the dinosaur on their own! She still had a long was to go, and she wasn't even sure she could make it that far... "Um... [thank you], ma'am, but I-" Of course, the discourse about the ethic behind the extended test took over, while Diana stood and watched. Even the other girl, Ayane, got a word in edgewise. Complaints about it not being fair, absurd, or worse. That life-threatening situations shouldn't be faked... Maybe they were right. But, all the same. "[Excuse me!]" Diana raised her voice to just below a shout, blushing a bit as she did. "I'm sorry for yelling, but I wanted to get everyone's attention... I really don't know if this was right, wrong, or whatever, but I CAN say that my actions come from a life-threatening situation. I've been in one before... [Oh God, here goes nothing..." Grabbing a hair band from her pocket, she closed her eyes and bunched her hair up, pulling it back into a ponytail. As she did, a scar reaching from her right eye's right cuticle to just before her ear. The girl shook a bit, eyes tight, before taking a deep breath and snapping her eyes open. When she did, her right eye, shown for the first time, was revealed to be mechanical. It seemed to move in unison with Diana's left eye as she shuffled about nervously, taking one last breath before continuing. "In... a life or death situation, you have to [make a move]. Er, just do what has to be done. It's not the time for thinking it through, it's the time for action. Thinking can just make things worse. It probably is a little too far to have us think a glitch like that would happen, but I think it was good practice. And I am [humbled] to receive praise for just letting my limbs carry me." She snapped the headband off and bowed, hair falling back over the right side of her face before she stood up again, glancing to the side. "[I'm not perfect, by any means, either...]"

Man, I just found the old binder I had full of my AP US history classwork from high school. It's weird to look at it, cause that particular class had a huge part in getting me to examine things, it was one of the few classes that I felt really engaged in and cared about back then. It's weird, I can see at the start where I kinda half-assed things, and as I flipped through it, I saw my work getting more filled out and detailed.
