  1. I love it. I still need to beat World of Light, but I managed to unlock everyone by plowing through Classic Mode. I think I'm going to try and eventually 100% this game too because the challenges/achievements aren't as unreasonable to me as they were in Smash U. The newcomers are all really fun; I'm also stoked to playing people like Toon Link, Wolf, and Snake again. Smash is still Smash, Sakurai's our homeboy, and I'm looking forward to the DLC reveals over this next year. I know apparently the full list was leaked a week ago, but I'm not seeking those out because I want to see the reveal trailers completely blind.
  2. I'd never heard that before this past year, but now I know and see a lot of potato-pizza lovers, so I figure I'll give it a shot at some point. Pepperoni for me. Bacon's also really good on pizza as my second pick. I don't usually order other toppings, but I've had meat lover's before and those are tasty.
  3. Should be fun binging this whole thing on YouTube. Never played KH much but I watched all the cutscenes during high school and I kinda-sorta keep up with it, so curious what'll happen in 3. A ton of my friends are hype about this too; I'm glad they're being thrown a bone after like a decade.

This has made me think of who I'd want as 3rd party characters. I'd say: Natsu, Genos (I wouldn't throw Saitama in just because of the whole one-hit gag), Rin Okumura, Edward Elric, and Maka/Soul.
  5. I didn't play too many games this year, but I loved Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Spider-Man. The former for obvious reasons, but the latter was just about perfect for me. Sizable campaign, but not too long. Gripping plot, characters, and acting. And the gameplay is astounding, I had a lot of fun swinging around and with combat. As a Spider-Man fan, I love the new take on him and I can clearly tell the Insomniac dev team was passionate about this and also loves Spider-Man. It's also really encouraging to see it do so well, I'm sad it didn't get more love at the Game Awards this year. From everything that's come out, I do think God of War winning makes perfect sense though. I cannot wait for the sequel.

True, there could still be characters involved in the story that just aren't playable, I could settle for that. It's a pretty solid roster at the moment, so I don't think I have any complaints on that front even if this is the full opening day cast. They could always hop on the Smash Bros trend with 3rd party characters, Natsu Dragneel anyone
  7. Nice picks, I think the All fight was one of the series' best moments, but I wish All for One got more creative with the quirks at this disposal rather than just turning his arm huge. But the narrative weight is what really matters and Gigguk made a cool video talking about that fight and other ones in MHA. And it doesn't shit all over the series despite how the title looks. Bunny Girl Senpai did have a lot of great characters and contenders for Best Girl. That may have been my sleeper hit of the season because I expected more generic crap from the title and summary until people got excited over it. Goes to show you can't always judge a book by its cover. Good point, I'll add a spoiler disclaimer to the OP. I've seen a couple other people get spoiled about that show and character too, which is a shame. I got spoiled similarly a few years back when Madoka Magica's antagonist won the award on a different forum. These are my votes. I feel like I was too quick to vote on some of them and would change them if possible, but whatever.

I'm hesitant about the game just because the last Jump game sucked and I paid full-price for it when I later found it in a bargain bin for like $5. I'm hoping it's good and much better than that last one. I've got a large wishlist which I'm not sure how realistic it is because the game seems to be up to 33 characters already, pretty sizable roster. I suppose there's always DLC though.
  9. Ayy, hope you've been doing well! Curious what you think of the song here, it's been my top jam the past week.
  10. I still haven't gotten too far through World of Light, so curious if I see any here that I haven't found yet.
  11. Crunchyroll has released their list of nominees for their 3rd Anime Awards this year and you can cast your votes here. They also have the nominees listed out here. Do you guys have any favorites to win or stuff you wish was on there? I didn't realize until recently just how many great shows came out this year, so I won't be begrudging too many picks if my votes lost. I think I mainly just want to see Devilman Crybaby, Violet Evergarden, Megalobox, and A place further than the universe snag some wins. Potential spoilers ahead for 2018 anime EDIT: Interesting, some of the logo blends perfectly into the forum background depending on the skin you're using. In case the logo's looking weird to you.
  12. I mean yeah, that'd be cool! I just went digging for the thread but I had trouble finding it, not sure if you did something with it. Or maybe I'm just a bad finder, I generally am. I think it was the last 3 or so that I meant to get around to and never did. The last one I remember was Night and Yin(?) in the office but there may have been other stuff after that I did read too.

I'll second these, since these are ones from that list I've seen. These shows in particular have some great comedy, so you're in for a bunch of laughs here. You've got a full list already, but I figured I'd just put A place further than the Universe and Hinamatsuri on your radar too if you haven't seen those. Universe is really inspiring and while it has some heavy moments, it's an endearing friendship story with plenty of lightheartedness too. And Hinamatsuri's just hysterical and weird, it's great.
  14. Dororo - Apparently this is a Tezuka work and the first episode hooked me, so very interested to see how this turns out. Kakegurui 2 - I wasn't too big on the first episode here and picked it up mainly because I watched the 1st season. May drop this one if it's not doing enough for me. Mob Psycho II - So happy this is back and judging from the first episode, we're in for more of a good time and some sweet sakuga. The Promised Neverland - The manga's great and the anime impressed with the first episode, I'd highly recommend watching this one. It's one of the fresh Shonen Jump titles that's helping to revitalize the magazine. And I think that's it for me this season. I don't think Shield Hero's for me, but I may change my mind if discourse around it becomes more positive.
  15. My friend told me I should just check out the manga since the anime's fine, but it's the superior iteration. Curious how people here feel between the two; I think this is one of the few high-profile anime from 2018 I hadn't checked out.
  16. I can't believe I forgot about Lora, that's a blast from the past. I always enjoyed these (the one about me was insane in the best ways), I'll have to reread them when I get a moment. I think I may have missed out on the last few.
  17. You guys ever realize that Uncle Jesse is basically the Vegeta of Full House?

  18. Thank you! and struts Thanks, back at you! I'll try at least, looks like a good amount of people have jumped ship over here. tfw i forgot about that one name-change ?
  19. It's been a while, seems things have been crazy lately. Hope everyone's been doing well and that I'll see you around the forum!
