After watching the teaser trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, this is the first time in a while where I am not leaning towards the Water starter. Now to wait and see the what the Legendaries are like so I can decide which one looks cooler.
What I like about the fire starter, if Game Freak wanted, they could go either the router of a crocodile or an alligator and make it our first (I think) fire quadruped
