Cavecreep Wetwalker

Recommended Posts

A random LINK-2 that allows you to look at a random card in your opponent's hand and banish it for a discard, and offers some protection too, that also moves it, in case you want to keep it around for longer.

2 monsters, including an Effect Monster
When this card is Link Summoned: You can look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand, then you can discard 1 card, and if you do, banish the revealed card. When this card is targeted for an attack or by your opponent's card effect (Quick Effect): You can move this card to your zone it points to, and if you do, negate that attack or effect. You can only use each effect of "Cavecreep Wetwalker" once per turn.

Hey. This is a very interesting card, I must admit. I am not completely sure on what I would use this card in if I were to use it, but it nonetheless looks like a fun card to use. The main drive to use this card would be its reveal and banishing effect; its protection effect is a bonus. Reminds me of some kind of enemy AI you would find in an old video, that would dodge your attacks every so often. Very unique.

Nice name, goes well with the art, effects and overall aesthetics of the card. I don't know too much about links, but it seems easy enough to make with those generic materials, and is worth it I suppose being able to unlock a zone most of the time. It also has decent ATK for a link 2. And about the effects: the first one is obviously useful for disruption on your own turn(to potentially get rid of a hand trap, perhaps?), and maybe also trigger something with that discard(like say, a fabled?); as for the second effect, once per turn attack/effect targeting protection is definitely a good thing to have, and if it was in the extra zone it can free it while still sticking around(not bad at all, used a similar effect on my very first link Hotrash.)

I don't wanna seem too positive about the card here, it does have it's flaws I'm sure, but definitely more good than bad.

Anyway, good work and keep it up ?

This looks good. Its material requirements are flexible enough, marks Zones in both the EM and MM Zones, the 1-for-1 discard seems fair and yet deadlier when combined with other hand disrupting effects such as PSY-Frame Omega and of course the infamous Gumblar, and the other effect gives it some durability. Overall IMO it is a solid Link to go into when going first and you don't really want to sit down on monsters that don't do much after using their effects.

If a Fairy or Warrior monster made a direct attack this Battle Phase, you can (Quick Effect) reveal this card in your hand: Normal Summon 1 monster OR Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material. You can only use this effect of "Cyber Jammer" once per turn.

I hope you weren't expecting a Cyber Dragon card! The Cyber Girls are a group of mostly-EARTH Warrior monsters also originating from Yugioh GX that really never took off the way their successors, the Cyber Angels, eventually would. I felt like making one of my own to at least relate to what most of their effects did as several of the Cyber Girls have effects relating to direct attacks and their boss monster, Cyber Blader, happens to be a Fusion Monster. The Cyber Girls all have something to do with female sports or athletics, so for this one I felt like going with roller derby since I haven't really seen that used as an aesthetic for anything in the game to the best of my knowledge. Enjoy!

If this card is sent from the hand or field to the GY: You can Ritual Summon 1 Non-Effect Ritual Monster from your Deck. This effect of "Angelfood" can only be used once per turn.

The result of some drawing practice I felt like making into a full card. A pretty straightforward effect that's probably significantly more powerful than I imagine it to be. But hey, those dusty Performance of the Swords and Crab Turtles in your box of old cards deserve some love.

When this card leaves the Field, you can add 1 "Spellbook" Spell card from your Deck to your Hand.

Tribute 1 face-up monster on either side of the field: Its controller can Special Summon 1 monster from their hand or Deck with the same Type and Attribute and an ATK or DEF greater than the tributed card. Card effects cannot be activated for the rest of this turn, except for the effects of a monster Special Summoned by this card. You can only activate 1 "Power Creep" per turn.

Spent a while trying to come up with an effect for the image. If you have any more fitting ideas, let me know.
